Why are millennials so maligned?

As the latest generation to make their presence known on the world stage, the millennials are copping the inter-generational scrutiny that is a rite of passage for every new generation, but this time the barbs seem harsher and the concern greater. The millennials’ propensity for narcissism, entitlement and delusion is roundly criticised, but there is also genuine concern over their unprecedented levels of anxiety.

The New York Magazine’s ‘Sucks to be us’ issue

Attempts to understand millennials, or Generation Y as they are otherwise known, have been made by social commentators and scientists. But while some of these investigations acknowledge the obvious impact of growing up in a world of increasing trauma, and technology that brings all that trauma into our lives like never before, none of them deal with the underlying issue of what is the SOURCE of all this ever-increasing pain and dysfunction in human life how are we to explain, and, more to the point, solve and bring to an end, THE AGONY OF THE HUMAN CONDITION??

Well, amazingly, it is this crux problem of the human condition that biologist Jeremy Griffith has finally succeeded in explaining and resolving!!
