Hi erpa, great to hear from you mate. Your question is the KEY question because the truth is raw, it does reveal the lies and all the denial that we’ve been using to cope as Freedom says, it is future shock, and shock is a good word for it! So yeah, how are we supposed to cope with the all the raw honesty, with the exposure of the immensity of our upset?! Your question reminded me of the one in Freedom from Enrico ‘Diving into a sea of truth where everything is completely transparent one can’t but ask, “how will anybody cope with this; how in the world can anybody cross such darkness to reach light?!”’

In actual fact the rawness is only half the picture because the truth is actually loving and compassionate, this info explains that we are all upset but we are good, we’re totally defended in our upset. I know I’m a huge mess inside but I know there’s been a really good reason for it. And that’s where the transformed state comes in which changes the whole situation from being an overwhelming one to not just coping but to a pretty bloody exciting one! We can live with the lights on and the way we do that is not try to confront all the truth about ourselves we just support the truth. I read this faq the other day and thought it was a really good summary of the situation for our generation too, can’t say it any better this https://www.humancondition.com/wtm-faq-a-caution-about-the-danger-of-over-exposure/. Watching some of the transformation videos in that part of the website or ch 9 of Freedom is really helpful, like paragraph 1256 when Tony Gowing talks about how he lives with the truth about himself. What I reckon would be most helpful is the wtm’s global transformation meetings and there’s one coming up this Saturday that you might already know about, but they’re really awesome meetings, heaps of helpful and exciting discussions about the transformed state and how we cope as the generation who grew up ‘in the dark’. Some people prefer to be in the background anonymously. Anyway if you want more details about that let me know and you can always email me too at cp[dot]akri[at]gmail[dot]com

Sorry one last thing. I recently recorded my own affirmation of my experience with living with these life transforming insights in support of the wtm, it’s in the commendation section of the website now at this link. It might be helpful in the sense that we’re all in this together, and we’re similar age so it might resonate, and we all help each other with growing the transformed state in ourselves so anyway it’s there if you want to look at it.

    Hey MartyR,
Tony already gave a brilliant answer so there probably isn’t much need for any more elaboration, as FREEDOM covers it all, however I wanted to share something that might also be helpful.

I’m a straight male (I am attracted to women), and in the old world, without any real explanation or understanding, the idea of someone being gay would have been strange and confronting for me. I am pleased to say however, that with this biological information, into the human condition exposing all our corrupted reality with compassion and truth, I now don’t really care what someones sexual preference is, it couldn’t phase me in the least to be honest. I now understand regardless of which gender you are attracted to, both are psychosis driven and a result of our heroic upset state, the underlying truth being all humans are fundamentally good and loveable regardless of their various encounters with the Human Condition. And secondly and most importantly, it isn’t even the real issue. The real issue has been understanding why humans are good and not bad, and reconciling the guilt and shame and undeservingly but necessarily endured. So with that, I hope FREEDOM gives you true reconciliation and love for your dark side, as it is doing for us all, and know we are all in this journey together. All humans have endured upset and we are all heading out of plato’s cave now, with various scars and wounds from the cave, but onwards toward to sun to bask in the warmth and let the healing begin to happen.

Thanks for your immense honesty on the forum, it takes courage and discussions like this are as beneficial for the reader as it can be for the writer.

Hey! great to hear back from you. I’m glad to hear you’ve been managing well with this amazing understanding we now all have access to.

Yeah I can relate to your epiphany moment, it really is true that after reading freedom an delving deeper into the explanation of the human condition that Jeremy presents, we really get our brain back! seemingly obvious and basic processes and cause and effect now becomes clear to us when for so long it wasn’t but it was also right in front of us the whole damn time! haha, which is what makes Jeremy’s explanations just so precious. They basically tell us all what we’ve known deep down and been feeling, but haven’t had the ability to logically and scientifically explain ourselves and our divisive behaviours.

I often look at nature now and wonder how many millions of years the mountains have laid there, and the rivers have flown, ignorantly peaceful waiting for natures grand experiment, Humanity, to return home knowingly (conscious) for the first time. I have a vision of war heroes laughing and celebrating that they can just leave all the equipment and fighting behind them, and just never look back. Onward they (humanity) marches toward the sunshine and a genuinely available optimistic and exciting future.

I have found personally since we last spoke, that discussion helps erode the historical fear and confrontation talking about the human condition does, as well as provide an immensely desired fellowship based off honesty that has been desperately sought for, for so long. Talking with others has helped me heal more than anything, talking on these forums, attending the weekly global waver meetings and the quarterly global transformation meetings has helped me immensely with relaxing with the information, living in support of it without overly confronting every aspect (although this one i am still working on haha) and becoming more secure in the information which is where my core being now resides so I no longer have to be consumed by my extremely insecure state.

So that’s a little update on me mate, but so awesome to hear from you again and that the new world is becoming clearer as time passes. keep marching towards the sun! it only gets better and better! :)

    Hey Jayden,
I can see where you are coming from, but as Jeremy explains, focusing on symptoms such as the environment, discrimination etc. and suggesting that dogma (which both the left and right right employ) was the solution to solving these issues, was fundamentally delusional and irresponsible, because the battle to find understanding had yet to be won. Humans have become so upset over the past 2 million years that relief has been necessary from our currently heroic but corrupted psychosis driven condition, and so it follows that inevitably humans were going to resort to extreme forms of pseudo idealism (far left wing ideology) and extreme forms of destruction/oppression (far right wing ideology).

Focusing specifically on the left in the case of your post, focusing all our energy on the symptoms of the human condition rather than the cause, and suggesting it was the way to repairing and building a new world, as the left do, was a now understandable, but extremely delusional state, by focusing on the symptoms of the issue and “feeling good” about “doing good”, one could gain relief from their upset and thus delude themselves that they were actually no longer upset nor contributing to the issue of the human condition, however only UNDERSTANDING of our situation was ever truly going to relieve the guilt.

For me both left and right are completely obsoleted now, because Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition presented in freedom, the essays and videos over the website, defend both sides and makes sense why both were necessary, but now fundamentally only understanding is going to resolve these catastrophic issues from ruining our planet. The test of time demonstrates that Politics has been around since the Ancient times, and has yet to solve our issues, in fact the situation world wide has only gotten worse. I really encourage you to read or re-read freedom, the essays and/or video content, patiently, and perhaps something that helped me was not necessarily watching from my own eyes but approaching it as though the earth has a very real problem and I am trying to find the solution, and then delving into Jeremy’s words, patiently and applying it to every situation in the world. From my personal experience, it didn’t fail to explain a single thing, and if I thought it did, I just wasn’t looking hard enough at the time.

‘I’ve come across an Australian biologist, Jeremy Griffiths who has spent most of his life researching the origins of life, human evolution, anthropolgy, science, biology and religion. Jeremy’s work and research explains (through the the stages of evolution we’ve encountered) how an inevitable battle between our instinct and intellect has resulted in humanities ‘upset’ state. Jeremy’s explanation of this battle solves our dilemma, explains the true meaning of life and opens the door for true and meaningful happiness like no other’.

I love this, definitely one im going to use in the future. how can someone not be enticed with an opener like that!

    Thanks Kim,
It really is a tribute to Jeremy’s incredible writing, which I try to do at least 1% justice to, but reading it from him is definitely the cleanest you’ll find.

TO answer your question, again referring to the Adam Stork Story, we can see that while Adam had to inevitably challenge his instincts and use his newly liberated conscious mind, his instincts did not disappear, they remained, and unaware or naive of the role of the newly liberated conscious mind, inevitably came into conflict with it, which has lasted us for 2 million years and is the core biological reason for all the imperfect and destructive behaviour humans are exhibiting today.

As for why we are taught they no longer exist in us, this would certainly be due to, if you refer back to my response on the other post:
( https://www.humancondition.com/forums/topic/adjustment/#post-42625 ) a result of our alienation, the need to block out our instinctive criticisms towards our minds search for knowledge until we could reconcile the two with understanding, which has now been found in FREEDOM and all over this website. Since the world is currently still practising a lot of denial, there is a plethora of commonly accepted excuses and false explanations for human behaviour and its origins, however the deeper you delve into Jeremy’s book FREEDOM, the essays and the videos, he deconstructs each and every lie and replaces it with a fully accountable and verifiable truthful explanation of our origins and how it has developed to present day.

I’m personally more familiar with actually being taught that we have savage instincts, like other animals, although this has been a convenient lie that we had to implore to gain relief from our corrupted condition until we could find the dignifying defence for why we had fallen so far from grace, which Thankfully Jeremy cleanly exposes with the truthful explanation which reveals unlike other animals, humans actually have loving, selfless and cooperative instincts, which was made possible from our ideal nursery conditions and subsequent evolutionary adaptations which allowed us to nurture our young and essentially brainwash them in love, which most animals on the planet have not been able to achieve, hence why they have not been able to liberate their conscious mind. A much more detailed explanation of both my above points is provided in essay 2, essay 21 and essay 24 which I will link below.

lastly just to clarify, instincts are genetic but nerves are not, the intellect or conscious is a part of the nerve based learning system, which was used primarily to coordinate movement in our ancestors and so had the capacity to store imprints or memories, which left us the potential to develop consciousness to the degree Humans have today, which adequate nurturing and ideal nursery conditions allowed us to fully liberate. This allows us to relate past events to decide how to act in future events and manage our life from a basis of relating experiences to make decisions, basically use our intellect or conscious mind to manage our lives rather than our instincts, which most other animals do not, as you identified.

i’ll leave the links below, definitely recommend checking them our for more clarity on all your above questions, they are amazingly clear and concise. Glad you are loving this space Kimmy, it is really an exciting time now where we can share and understand the truth about us humans and begin to live the kind of world we all expected to have as kids, and we finally get to use our brains the way they were supposed to be used! :)

    Glad it made sense Kim.
Susy nailed it on the head, would definitely recommend checking out those references and just overall being as patient as possible with the information. There is only so much the brain can digest in a given period of time, and given the present understanding brings about the long awaited relieving and exciting paradigm shift for humans, it is only natural that it will take time to digest, and apply to both the micro and macro picture.

In regards to your question about how owning our dark side makes us a “better person”, for some 2 million years we have developed our dark side which is really our heroic side that was necessary in order to understand and thus explain and relieve the guilt and insecurity that our instinctive criticism/resistance towards our minds necessary search for knowledge (understanding) was causing. One of our necessary defence mechanisms (As is explained in the Adam Stork Story, I emphasise how important this analogy is for depicting the entire human situation) was to block out all the imperfections of ourselves and the world (and therefore become aliened from our true soulful world) to cope with the instincts naive criticism of our actions until we could find the redeeming, reconciling and relieving explanation for why we are really good when we feel we are bad every time we challenge our instincts natural behaviour.

Now whilst this block out was super necessary, it also meant we couldn’t really experience much of the real world in the sense of all the joy, magic and love it has to offer because our brains were preoccupied with blocking out the human condition. Furthermore this meant that we could’t honestly acknowledge how destructive and selfishly preoccupied we became with validating ourselves and only seeing and experiencing the world from a position of truth avoiding denial (refer to Plato’s Cave analogy), and the effect that had as we lived our own feelings of injustice and upset out on others. We have had to be just so consumed with our own pain under the human condition (which has been the heroic act of humanity to endure) until we could relive ourselves to knowledge of ourselves and our world, which Jeremy has thankfully done in Freedom and all over this website in just the nick of time.

So now the ability to no longer block out or remain in denial about, but own and make sense of the Whole Human journey and what all humans have endured under the duress of the HC, with the fully accountable defence for why Humans have had to behave in this seemingly un-ideal manner (provided in FREEDOM and all over the website) allows us to begin to access all the incredible excitement and love for life we all had as children, and the natural transition follows that we begin to go from egocentric focused lives (completely consumed with our own pain and need for validation) to a more soul led life which allows us to begin to help support and build a world free of the HC in both ourselves, our loved ones and the world and support saving the race, uniting our intellect and our instincts as one for the first time in history!

I hope I didn’t make that too long haha, hopefully I did it some justice, but just being patient and letting Jeremy’s incredibly parenting writing gradually become more clear, and taking the time to digest his explanations is definitely the fastest way to seeing what is now on offer for all humans

    Hey Kim,
I found the best way to get my head around why we humans have been behaving seemingly “bad” (although now we can understand we were heroic and fundamentally good), when we knew what the ideals were, namely to behave cooperatively, lovingly and selflessly, was to re read and relate to the Adam Stork analogy. As we can see, that while Adam was good and in fact heroic, for having to challenge his instincts for management of his life, by conducting a conscious experiment (i.e. grabbing the fruit from the tree), he appeared to be bad to the dogmatic ignorant instincts which expected he behave in accordance with his instincts, having no appreciation of a conscious minds need to search for knowledge. It was this “criticism” from our instincts, which lead to the growing sense of guilt and the development of an insecurity of our selfworth, and the intellect had only 4 choices when faced in such a predicament.

The first and most obvious would have been to sit down with our instincts and explain why we were in fact good and not bad for behaving in opposition to our instincts, they we could stop feeling bad and never become upset. however we didn’t have the answers then (The human condition wasn’t explained yet), we hadn’t even invented language to be able to explain our situation. So given the predicament, of having no defence to explain why we were good when we felt bad due to the instincts unjust criticism, we had to resort to the remaining 3 options. We had to retaliate against the unjust criticism, as we knew we were not fundamentally bad, so we became angry. We had to go out and prove why we were good and not bad, as we didn’t yet have the real reason for our goodness (understanding of the HC) so we became egocentric, and we had to block out the criticism from our instincts, so we became alienated.

Jeremy now explains that the upset behaviour, and destructive behavioural decisions humans make today, is a product of having lived and suffered from the psychological human condition for some 2 million years, not a genetic opportunism “must reproduce your genes” as mechanistic science has evasively portrayed for some time. But now that we can explain and understand the whole human situation, at the fundamental level, once these ideas become mainstream, the need to prove ourselves is satisfied and so people will have the ability to “own their dark side” and become “whole” again as is explained in freedom, basically everyone will know they are good and not bad, and that their upset is a heroic and necessary step in our evolution, and begin to heal and no longer be owned by the old angry, retaliatory, insecure and defensive way of managing our lives due to not having a bridging understanding of why we are good.

Here’s a link to the essay which will explain it a lot more clearly and coherently than I did haha:
    https://www.humancondition.com/freedom-essays/the-explanation-of-the-human-condition/

hope that made some sense Kim.

    Hey erpa,
I couldn’t help but thing back to this post today, when I was reflecting on how much this understanding has helped me manage and live freely in my daily life, and not be overwhelmed by the tide of competitive, selfish and egocentric behaviour existing in the world thanks to Jeremy’s incredibly compassionate and liberating explanation.

I thought i’d touch base and see how you have been going with your family & friends and if you are starting to get more comfortable with the initially very confronting and overwhelming but also liberating and exciting clarity that Jeremy provides to the human situation?

would love to hear back, and very open to sharing more insight into my own experiences with managing this new understanding in my brain and still living in a world owned by resignation. I find myself getting better, bit by bit, at managing the old world and my old world resigned self, with the new world now available to us, without getting overwhelmed or overly pressuring myself, and I think this is just a natural adjustment over time we get used to “the light” in this case the truth, and erode our historical fear or “deaf effect” to the subject of the Human condition.

    Hope all is going well
    Regards,

    Chris :)

    Hey Mark,
you are right to be excited, the deeper you delve into Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition, you will find endless exciting, liberating and amazingly insightful compassionate truthful understandings into why and how the human condition has developed over the last 2 million years, and the incredible transformation available to all humans now to live free of their upset.

I’m going to do my best to add some value to your question, but others much more experienced will surely chime in if I fail to do this justice.

I want to take a step back, just to redefine the two learning systems. The Gene based learning system (instincts) is not insightful and dogmatic, it is a product of orientations refined over millions of years, and simply drives the behaviour without much need for conscious understanding of the situation. and as you stated above, we lived in a cooperative, loving and selfless, we were and integrated harmonious species, which our instincts are orientated to behaving in accordance with. Now since the gene based system is non insightful and dogmatic, it was not appreciative of the nerve based learning system (our intellect or conscious minds) need to search for understanding. As the nerve based learning system, is insightful, basically it works on understanding, simply obeying our instincts was no longer an option once our conscious mind was liberated.

However with our instincts having no appreciation of the conscious minds need to, in effect, rebel against or “challenge” our instincts for management of our lives, since they are completely opposite learning systems and in-compatible, they would resist and in effect criticise the brain for disobeying his instincts and undergoing and experiment in self management. So when Adam grabs the apple, he needs to understand what it means to be selfish, to be able to make sense of why behaving selfless in important, however the instincts are not appreciative of this need to understand, so they will “try pull Adam back on course”, demand he merely behaves selflessly in accordance with his instincts, and not question it, however Adam is conscious now, and his brain needs understanding, it needs to know WHY behaving selfless is important. But he didn’t have a defence for himself, the human condition hadn’t been solved then, language hadn’t even been solved then! So he probably couldn’t even have a chat to himself.

That criticism from the instincts, which are not appreciative of the conscious minds need to search for understanding, breaks out into a conflict or “war” with the conscious mind, developing a sense of guild and as a result insecurity, about whether Adam was good or bad for having behaved in such a way, that for reasons he could not explain, made him feel bad. Now to cope with this, the only response available, was to angrily retaliate against the unjust criticism, and as we can appreciate, it really was unjust. Then to block it out, so he became alienated. and lastly to become egocentric, focused on PROVING why he was good and not bad, until the REAL explanation (which Jeremy has now given us) for why we are fundamentally good and heroic could arrive.

Now in regards to relating it to our own experience, it will take time and patience, as Adam had to block out the criticism, naturally after 2 million years we are pretty blocked out! so the “deaf effect” as Jeremy terms it, is a very real things all humans will have to adjust to, and I know in myself it took a while, but patiently re-reading the material (especially the adam stork story!), discussing them on forums and watching the videos available, helped my subconscious become relaxed with the information and overcome the initial confrontation, and I started to, and still am, seeing more clearly what Jeremy explains in his book and how this relates to me. but it does take patience. If you have read Plato’s cave analogy, we are coming from deep in the cave, but slowly we’re edging our way to the cave entrance and out into the warm and compassionate sun of truth.

There is also a birthday cake analogy which I cant find but if someone can link it that may help as well! Best of luck mate, hope I was able to add some value.

awesome stuff Dave, and great thread idea.
I havent been the most proactive as of late, just sharing posts on instagram to try and draw attention and continuing to have discussion with those close to me especially those who already are open to the insights in freedom. I try to stay connected by reading something related to the honest in these insights to inspire honest free thought and development in my brain and to continue to build the new world within me.

A few months ago I hung around the promotional posters for “Freedom” around my university, in an attempt to give some more exposure.

Best thing we can all do is support the team in Sydney and the other centers around the world and keep as connected as we can, the new world is building and its a matter of time before all the little efforts collate into the masive tsunami of love/understanding that will inevitably flood and heal the earth and the human race :)

    Hi Erpa,
    welcome to the forums :)
Reading your post resonated with me so much, My Names Chris, I am also a 21 year old male, I have been actively looking into Jeremy’s insights for the last 3 years, and have experienced everything you mentioned above. Initially, the shock seems almost too much, I didnt know how to behave or what to do, as you mentioned, everyones behaviour was pissing me off, and more so my own behaviour was as well. I didnt know how to participate with family or friends, as everything they were doing seemed obsolete. The important thing was for me to take a step back, relax, spend time digesting the information and not overly confronting myself and not taking everything to literally. Just taking joy in the fact that I truely found the REAL answers about us humans!

It took me some time, but eventually I learned and understood that, we are the accumulation of 2 million years of heroic and necessary egocentricity, alienation and denial, adapted and habituated, as we searched for understanding, namely of ourselves and the world. So of course we are not going to be ideal! and we shouldnt worry about it, at all. It couldnt have been any other way, and the awesome news is that everything you and I are today, is HEROIC and FUNDAMENTALLY GOOD, not bad, and thats what FREEDOM focuses on. Jeremy has mentioned before, which I often use to straighten my head when im getting caught up in my personal situation – “if you wrestling, you’re going about it the wrong way”.

Remember FREEDOM is a compassionate understanding, that defends every single one of us and provides a fully accountable explanation, through the instinct and intellect explanation, everything we are today was heroic, and we had no other choice, it very well saved our lives. The opportunity for all humans now, is to love their corrupt reality as we now have the means to defend it rather than fear it, naturally this will take time, so be patient and slowly delve into as much of jeremy’s work (videos, essays, podcasts etc.) and let yourself absorb and get accustomed to “the light” as you walk out of plato’s cave, it does take time. What comes to mind is when Jeremy quotes psychoanalyst Carl Jung who said “wholeness for humans depends on our ability to love the dark side of ourselves”

I can confidently say Im able to enjoy family and friends better then ever! because I dont have to get caught up in my own shit anymore, and more so I can start to love every un ideal aspect about them! rather than hate it, it makes them feel great to and more incline to listen to what I have to say. Slowly but surely, you will be able to compassionately understand the corrupt reality within yourself and the world, and then you never have to look at it again. You can begin to live free, because you can defend yourself and everyone around you as good through science, leaving the need to constantly be retaliatory, defensive and insecure behind (which will happen on its own, dont force it!)

I hope this helps, I may have rambled a little but just wanted to share what came to mind,
If you want to email or video call someone your age and discuss further just contact one of the admins who can give you my details and we can organise, but most importantly rest assured that it absolutely does get easier, as the logic gets stronger in your brain you will be able to relax and feel more reassured then ever before, just keep doing what you’re doing, you’ve already done an incredible job to come so far on your own.

    Hey Sober,
what you’re suggesting is actually in accordance with what Jeremy presents in Freedom; that when our instincts resisted our conscience minds search for knowledge we inevitably had to block out / supress out “soul” also referred to as our instinctive memory of a cooperative and love past, or the voice of expression or subconcious within us, in order to continue the corrupting yet heroic and necessary search for understanding, namely self understanding.

with the conpassionate understanding and defence now found, as presented in Freedom, we can develop a bridging understanding within ourselves and the world, which bridges our conscious mind and our “soul” or instinctive self or subconscious, allowing humans to transform to a statw free from the upset of the human condition to a more secure and whole individual and race.

thats how it made sense to me upon studying the insights in freedom, hope this helps :)

    Great pick up Dave,
it does get exciting once freedom allows us to access this whole new way of thinking and honest understanding grounded in logic and science. Whenever something in the cave world shows a spark of truth, a flicker of excitement props up in me too! haha and what you said above is perfect, freedom is the bedrock of truth knowledge and veryfying whether what you have discovered is honest knowledge by looking it up in freedom is an awesome way to stay grounded in the truth and compassionate understanding that frees all humans from living out their upset states. thanks for that, as i will be trying to use your strategy as well in the future!
