Very enlightening. A real way to look at human conflict and effort to end it for a better world.

What is your definition of the human condition?

WTM Admin

As biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in FAQ 1.1, “As I explained in THE Interview and in all my other presentations, we humans once lived in a nurtured-with-unconditional-love, cooperative, selfless and loving innocent state, which the bonobo species of ape is presently on the threshold of achieving (see FAQ 5.2 for the explanation of how we humans acquired our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience). If we stand back and think about this original cooperative, selfless and loving state and then think about how competitive, selfish and aggressive we humans are now, the contrast between the two states couldn’t be greater. And if we think about that extreme contrast and then think about the situation we have been stuck in for some 2 million years where we haven’t been able to explain our so-called ‘fall from grace’, the corruption of our original all-sensitive and all-loving, innocent instinctive self or soul, then how deeply traumatised with guilt and shame must we humans have been all that time! Certainly, we learnt to block the horror of this situation out of our mind, but that has been the underlying psychological predicament we humans have been enduring. So having had to live with this insufferable, unbearably depressing guilt and shame for having destroyed the magic world of our soul is what the human condition really is!”

I’m just looking for answers. Is there a spiritual aspect to this? Have you spoken with Jordan Peterson?

WTM Admin

As we explain to Kirsty below, the more people digest this scientific explanation, the more they see that it does not rob life or explanations of life of its ‘spiritual’ dimension. As Jeremy Griffith has written in one of his earlier books (A Species In Denial), “The demystification of our world doesn’t mean the specialness of our world is removed, rather it means the specialness is made more tangible. Mechanistic science, like all forms of denial, has largely been a process of stripping the beauty and truth from the world whereas the denial-free explanation of the world restores all that beauty and truth. It allows humans to live with a full awareness of, and ability to savour, the beauty of integration. It is alienation that is devoid of spirituality, not the truth.” As we mention to Kirsty, you might be interested in our FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’     With regard to Jordan Peterson, ater THE Interview we encourage people to watch/read our Introductory Videos/Freedom Essays 1-4 and 14 on our homepage, and you will see in Video/Freedom Essay 14 that Jeremy discusses Jordan Peterson’s work, which he describes as immensely heroic yet ultimately doomed, because only the psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real explanation of the human condition can stop the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look. It is precisely this real psychologically redeeming and transforming explanation that Jeremy has delivered in his first principle-based biological understanding of the human condition. But while Peterson does not explain the biology of the human condition correctly, Jeremy is very appreciative of his work, and hopefully at some stage they get together to create a Podcast.

Good interview

Terje Bongard

He is lacking the most basic understanding of human behavioral ecology. He shows no understanding of the evolutionary background for the concept called strategy: It is the SITUATION we are in that promotes different behavior. The most important being the GROUP SIZE: In large groups, egoism is hidden, in SMALL GROUPS, it is problematic to show, leading human behavior to be deceptive, but still egoistic through pretending to be altruistic. And: The half second delay of consciousness, and the extremely small band with of consciousness.... this guy needs education on these things: Check out Kathleen Vohs’article: Do conscious thoughts cause behavior? Best from Norway’s first PhD in human behavioral ecology, author of the book “The biological human being”. 2010 (alas, only in Norwegian)

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Terje. We respectfully suggest that the more you digest this understanding, the more you will realise that the ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash, and resulting psychologically upset state, is fundamental to any understanding of human behaviour. One thing in particular that it is important to point out is that concepts of ‘Strategy’ are ultimately based on the idea that our selfish “egoistic” behaviour is the result of selfish genes within us, however, we can now understand that our core instinctive orientation is to be loving and cooperative (see more on this in Freedom Essay 21). Unable to defend our non-loving, divisive behaviour, admitting our core instinctive orientation was to be loving and cooperative left us unbearably condemned, and so we employed the false excuse that we have ‘savage instincts’ like other animals, and we respectfully suggest that attributing our behaviour to evolved ‘strategies’ is a form of this denial.     With regard to consciousness, we recommend chapter 7 of Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM, which explains consciousness in great detail.

Robert McAnulty

A good listen, and I have to say that I enjoyed it. Problem is, I live in the real world where the psychological examination of a mentally disaffected autocratic personality is outside of legal jurisdiction/control. Oh well 🍀 Irish 🍀

WTM Admin

Bless the Irish! Because this is a completely accountable defence of humanity’s psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated condition, it won’t take “legal jurisdiction/control” to implement it. We suggest that as you digest this understanding you will see that everyone, no matter how egocentric, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete their strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level. You might be interested in our FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

I neglected to ask one important question does this understanding of human behaviour interfer with the concept of spiritual awareness as stated in Genisus where“ after eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge, they realised they were naked and afraid” when Adam and Eve realised, they experienced mankind’s feeling of conscience awareness or spirituality?

WTM Admin

As THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition — it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.

Patrick B

I have understood this my whole life, this understanding of the human condition is one thing but getting other parts of society to realise this intellectual truth is a massive undertaking and I fear the brainwashed religious and dogmatic robots will feel this is Satan’s best work through science!

WTM Admin

Certainly some people have had an awareness of the insecurity that has been dictating everyone’s behaviour, but our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.     With regard to this work threatening those of faith, by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts it at last reconciles science and religion — but rather than threatening religions, what people discover is it is the fulfilment of a time that all the great prophets looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves (see our FAQs about religion especially FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’). As Jeremy explains in chapter 9.9 of his book FREEDOM: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’” And so even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point in terms of awareness of this great breakthrough, you can see from the excitement and relief in our ecstatic responses to THE Interview, we are well on our way! Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

Pierce Kingan

I dont really get it, its to vague. could you explain it more?

WTM Admin

Even though the instinct vs intellect concept is actually very simple, we humans have lived in such fear and denial of our corrupted condition that we can find it difficult to ‘hear’ or take in discussion of it. For people new to this concept, we recommend Jeremy’s recent presentation The Great Guilt, which explains this ‘Deaf Effect’ in depth. If you want a quick summary, we recommend FAQ 1.3.

Wendy Emmett

I hate to give you bad news but I actually have read an account of a Bonobo war where one tribe completely annihilated the other. It’s unusual but does happen. I find this explanation too simple somehow. I also caught a whiff of anti-science from the interviewer....this always troubles me. We have come a long way because of science after all....who could intelligently deny that? I love the aspirations of Griffith.....and I wish it were as easy to resolve as he claims. Some people in my experience have not the ability to be honest about their negative behaviour. This is too repetitive and actually left bashing. The more I listen the more troubled I feel about this man’s grandstanding. It whiffs of ignorance in my opinion. Thank you. I wait to see if you will publish this. We have a choice about what we think and express after all....whether we can be labelled right or left is nothing to do with it. This man has the simplistic approach of a preacher.

WTM Admin

That is simply not correct about bonobo ‘war’. Bonobos are not territorial and no one has ever recorded a bonobo death in the wild as a result of aggression from another bonobo.     With regard to science, what is presented is the completely accountable, fully logical, scientific explanation of the human condition. ‘Science’ is held in the highest regard; what is not held in high regard is the contrived excuses that mechanistic human condition science has come up for our condition, such that it is all in our genes.     Finally, Jeremy’s work doesn’t unfairly focus on the failing of the left, which is that its insistence on ideal behaviour had the effect of oppressing and thus regressing the search for knowledge, but rather, through bringing a profound understanding to the human condition, it will ultimately bring an end to the whole ugly business of politics. In fact, the final paradox of the human condition is that through the right wing upholding the selfishness needed to persevere with the search for knowledge, we all now become left-wing (as it were, although the truth is that there will be no more politics). This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics.

How to benefit out of this time of period?

WTM Admin

Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source. Certainly, as Jeremy Griffith explains in Part 4 of THE Interview, we can all immediately take advantage of the Transformed State that is on offer, but what is being presented here brings about a future in which humanity will no longer suffer from the human condition. With the corrupting journey to find understanding of the human condition now over, future generations will not be psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated as we are; humans will be free of that straight-jacket, and enjoy a future of excitement, peace and love.

John hardwick

Thanks for this

Sabino Sackarias

What is your view on AI vs human beings?

WTM Admin

Hi Sabino, we recommend reading Jeremy Griffith’s 2023 booklet, AI & Aliens: the truthful analysis, which is available free of charge on our home page amongst our Key Books. Given Jeremy’s phenomenal clarity of thought and capacity for insight, it should be very interesting and helpful to hear his thoughts on the much discussed question of Artificial Intelligence and whether it poses a danger to humans. It is absolutely astonishingly insightful!

Deon Weenink

It’s who we are i suppose

WTM Admin

Yes, we are angry, egocentric and alienated, but we are also the heroes of the whole story of life on Earth. Such is the paradox of the human condition. The following passage illustrating this duality is by Jeremy Griffith is from FAQ 4.6, “being able to finally understand and defend our corrupted condition, understand the good reason for what used to be called our ‘badness’ or ‘evil’, enables us to own and acknowledge our corrupted condition. We can now understand that the situation is two sided; everyone is equally good, worthwhile and wonderful but everyone is variously corrupted.”

Roland Robin Gbondo

What is fundamentally good?

WTM Admin

Good question Roland. With understanding of the human condition we can now understand that humans are not ‘bad’ or ‘evil’ to have destroyed our Edenic, all-loving, all-cooperative past. We can now understand that we have all all-loving, all-cooperative, all-sensitive instincts, but we had to defy them in order to master the power of the conscious mind. As Jeremy Griffith writes in chapter 1:3 of his definitive book FREEDOM, “We have now finally broken through and found the full truth that explains that humans are wonderful beings after all. In fact, not just wonderful but the heroes of the whole story of life on Earth. This is because our fully conscious mind is surely—given its phenomenal ability to understand the world—nature’s greatest invention, so for us humans who were given this greatest of all inventions to develop, to be made to endure the torture of being unjustly condemned as bad or evil for doing just that, and to have had to endure that torture for so long, some 2 million years (the time we have likely been fully conscious), has to make us the absolute heroes of the story of life on Earth. We were given the hardest, toughest of tasks, and against all the odds we completed it. Humans are the champions of the story of life on Earth. We are so, so wonderful! Yes, we can at last understand the absolutely extraordinary paradox that neither Pascal nor Shakespeare could at all understand, of how on earth could we humans be ‘god’-‘like’ in our ‘infinite’ ‘faculty’ of ‘reason’ and ‘apprehension’, a ‘glor[ious]’, ‘angel’-‘like’ ‘prodigy’ capable of being a ‘judge of all things’ and a ‘repository of truth’, and yet seemingly behave so appallingly that we appear to be ‘monster[s]’, ‘imbecile[s]’, ‘a sewer of uncertainty and error’ and ‘chaos’, the ‘essence’ of ‘dust’, ‘the scum of the universe’. We have made sense of the seemingly nonsensical!!!”

Susan fate turner

I always felt this to be intrinsically true.

Susan fate turner

Astoundly simple to understand yet maybe easier to understand than implement. At 83 years old I applaud you. I shall follow this biological explanation as it makes a lifetime of sense to me.

Stephanie Hayes

Listen carefully to this profound understanding of the human condition. Such a relief to know that through understanding there is hope for mankind.

Akapusi Qera

...impressive indeed...

Maud

A relief explaining the story of Adam & Eve. No longer feel guilty! Need to listen again .Lots to absorb. Very important explanation of the Human condition. Thank you very much.

WTM Admin

Thank you Maud. Yes, a lot to absorb, and yes, as is explained in THE Interview, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans ‘fall’ or them becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’. However as Jeremy stresses, we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’. And with that redeeming answer to the human condition now found, our psychological upset (so called ‘sinful’ or ‘fallen’ state) can actually subside.

What makes Humans is indeed a puzzle and very Complex. Humans can be the cruelest of all creatures on earth..Consciousness is an individual choice...let’s hear it...

WTM Admin

Hi Anne, humans have indeed been a puzzle or appeared very complex because of our contradictory behaviour. We can behave in the most loving, altruistic way but also be the cruelest creatures on earth as you say. Ultimately to solve this puzzle and liberate ourselves from our conflicted human condition we needed to find the scientific explanation for WHY when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. Now with this crux issue compassionately explained it unleashes the brain food we have desperately needed to be able to think effectively. Also Anne you may find our reply to Connie below helpful as it also discusses this.

Connie Haynes

The world will change one person at a time until we reach the collective consciousness with our minds and feed it positive energy to get positive energy back. In my humble opinion.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts Connie which we appreciate you contributing. If you haven’t watched THE Interview it’s the best introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. In it he explains what our mind needs is the answer to the age old question of humanity’s extremely paradoxical nature: why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Without this answer we have heroically tried different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition, including positive thinking. This has been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have stopped the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look. The reason is because they don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. To quote from our FAQ 6.5 which explains the great difference between Jeremy’s work and self-help or new age type movements, “There has been much talk of the need to love each other and the environment, but the real need on Earth has been to love the dark side of ourselves, to find reconciling and redeeming understanding of our species’ extraordinary capacity for brutality, selfish indifference to others, hate, anger, oppression, meanness, cruelty, devastation and destruction—to explain the psychological origins of our deeply distressed so-called human condition and by so doing heal our troubled souls and set ourselves free from our 2-million-years corrupted condition.” As you rightly say the key to change is our minds but our mind needs answers or knowledge — anything less was bound to be ineffective. We suggest this is the real and lasting transformation that the human race has lived in hope, faith and trust would one day occur. It is the revolution of our minds.

Charlie

Nothing new only a set of beating around the bush. “I am God l am no different from God. ” Simple you should try it. Means only love.

WTM Admin

Hi Charlie, we certainly respect people’s religious views and Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition doesn’t actually contradict a belief in God or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth about human life albeit from that pre-scientific view. In dealing with such a historically difficult subject for us humans, these biological explanations of the human condition are very confronting by nature and in addition although ultimately a fulfilment of religion (as explained in our FAQs about religion), they do demystify religious concepts which some people can find incredibly challenging if they prefer a more literal interpretation of scripture rather than our more biological, science-based interpretation. Also, readers of these comments, may find FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does this instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ of interest.

Vivienne Marsden

This is shocking and everyone needs to know the truth,This man deserves a nobel prize. This could save millions.

Annie M

Now I can stop feeling guilty about being idealistic

WTM Admin

Hi Annie and thanks for your comment. All humans can stop feeling guilty now whether they are idealistic or realistic and what you start to realise, as you absorb this understanding further, is that becoming realistic was exactly what humans responsibly had to do. As THE Interview explains the whole objective of the human journey was to find understanding of why when the ideals are to be cooperative and loving are we so divisively competitive and aggressive. That is the great riddle of the human condition that had to be explained, and what is finally revealed with Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation is that there has been an all-important, good reason for that divisive behaviour. It’s always been easy to side with idealism and denigrate realism, but now at last we can understand we have had to become competitive, aggressive and selfish to champion our fully conscious mind. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour! Also Jeremy has produced a companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that explains the shame and guilt our whole species carries is because we had to corrupt our all-loving and sensitive soul and become ‘realistic’ when the human condition first emerged some two million years ago which is absolutely fascinating. You can watch it HERE on the WTM website.

Yvonne

Really refreshing, amazing and so clear what a wonderful intelligent gentleman. Everyone in this world should hear this.

mrs DESPINA Gagaridis

Very well said it’s mind blowing. Humanity needs to learn the truth.

Ray Williams

Be great if our world leaders could promote this way of understanding,in other words our political leaders and others should set a more cooperative example instead of the present way of aggression. For example America considers they are the sherriff of the world yet created so many regional wars since world war 2 and so much bad has come from this.I am not confident how we bring about a change to the existing mind set because the majority of people are just not interested enough to look into this very important matter. JC was a good man and look what the rulers of the day did to him.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your interest Ray! The main point to make is that until we found the reconciling explanation of the human condition it hasn’t been possible to legitimately “set a more cooperative example”. It is now ‘legitimate’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which makes our angry, aggressive, egocentric state redundant, instead of trying to deny or transcending it. As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, with support from those who appreciate this understanding, the truth is that this enlightening, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fame, fortune and glory. Our FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

This is just mind blowing (Instinct vs Intellect). A big condition about human race. A conscious mind is just a great invention. It renewed my mind.

It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth about human life albeit from that pre-scientific view. In dealing with such a historically difficult subject for us humans, these biological explanations of the human condition are very confronting by nature and in addition although ultimately a fulfilment of religion (as explained in our FAQs about religion), they do demystify religious concepts which some people can find incredibly challenging and we encourage everyone to take their time investigating what’s being presented.

It was great ! Thank you Jeremy, it help me to understand what was happening with myself and others. I feel relief. Everyone should watch it 🙏

Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’, presents the answer to how this understanding allows us to transform our lives. It explains that it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world.

It is not difficult to agree with the thesis of Jeremy Griffith, an Australian biologist, writer, thinker, and founder of World Transformation Movement that we, humans, are not genetically programmed to dominate others and win the battle of life, as animals do. Rather, we, humans, have cooperative, selfless, and loving moralist instinct or nature, the voice or expression of which is what we call CONSCIENCE. And most importantly, we, humans, can change. The puzzle that confronts us is why we have become manipulative, aggressive, and fiercely competitive. Mr. Griffith gave us the startling answer.

Insightful. Needs as much publicity as is humanly possible. The world needs to hear this.

What a great insight this unveils!

Sounds very interesting. Always ready to listen and learn

Chris

Sounds like the teachings of Jesus Christ. Love and peace, we are all one big family. Unity that binds our entire race to benefit all people. If we choose to to do so

While the teachings of Christ (and other religions) contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents which actually reconciles science and religion. When you think about it, it makes sense. Humans have been battling with internal turmoil because we didn’t understand so we couldn’t explain. Now with the knowledge and understanding we have the ability to change and better the entire species through helping one another. Nourishment and love instead of greed and selfishness

Instinct vs Intellect Some very good points to ponder! I enjoyed listening to this

Amazing analysis and understanding of human condition. It really helps me to evaluate myself and understand my surrounding. As a human race we are in self-destructive state, we really need a revolution to bring back our Moral instinct. We are becoming less of the baboons.

Ottar Høier

Instinct vs. Intellect can seem reductionistic but this interview can open minds to a new curiosity around where to find the answers we all are (- or should be -) looking for. As allways they will be found in each one of us if we are brave enough and willing to look for them. It will take a lot of responsibility and accountability. Freedom is the bounty. Great interview!

Kshitij, we are very glad THE Interview resonated with you so strongly. With regard to getting a hardcopy of FREEDOM, I don’t know if Amazon delivers to Nepal, but if they don’t, almost any bookstore should be able to order FREEDOM. Alternatively, if you really want a hardcopy (as opposed to an electronic copy, which is freely available on our homepage), then perhaps you might be able to download and print out our PDF. You can see binding instructions at https://www.humancondition.com/freedom-free-to-read-print-bind/.

It seems to me that you are explaining the gospel of Jesus Christ: understanding brings healing.

WTM Admin

Yes, that is true. While Christianity and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately, for our species to be completely healed for all time, we needed to find the scientific understanding for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents which actually reconciles science and religion.
