Robert

Ty , Exactly, it’s why I’ve been studying why people do what they do.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment Robert. Given your interest in human behaviour we thought you might find FAQ 1.5 of interest as it summarises how this changes our behaviour. Now we can biologically explain why we humans are fundamentally good and not some sort of terrible mistake or flawed species we can, for the first time, understand every aspect of our behaviour with 100% clarity and confidence. This will change how we view humans, and most importantly ourselves, literally overnight—and our behaviour will change naturally as a result, and just as quickly. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source so it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!

Ila Kwanu

Fully explained with such great wisdom and knowledge! I believe this is the real message of understanding the true human origins and existence behind what all ancients, philosophers, preachers, teachers, monks, etc. tried to explain to the whole world in order to find the good in mankind! So much insights in life has been simplified and clarified to save our souls. Shalom Love and light to you sir!

Wow, left dumbfounded! So so refreshing to watch and listen to this transformational interview! Hard to ignore! Worth spreading globally. The entire world needs to hear this! Thank you countless times!

Gabriella

One of my professors in the seminary used to say, “Where you stand determines what you see.” How can you say this is the human condition when you talk about testosterone and don’t talk about estrogen? How can you say that ego centrism is human condition when women give birth and nurture new life? What I do find important here is the war between instinct (please separate male and female instinct) and consciousness or conscience.

WTM Admin

Hi Gabriella. The female perspective is certainly not missing from Jeremy Griffith’s treatise and both the male and female contribution to the human journey are fully explained and equally acknowledged. In fact maternal love is finally given the recognition and honour it deserves. Astonishingly with Jeremy’s biological explanation of the human condition we can at last understand and reconcile the huge gulf that has existed between men and women. We can also understand why men especially, but also women, suffer from the human condition and all it’s related behaviours including selfishness and egocentricity, but that ALL HUMANS ARE EQUALLY GOOD and equally heroic. See molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women and our FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile men and women’.     Also, to be clear, the reference in THE Interview to ‘testosterone’ is to point out that it is a “false excuse” for human’s aggressive behaviour.

Darlene Clark

Awesome news for the world.

Marieta L Guazon

Thank you. A Blessing finding this video.

Leonardo Salazar

Thanks for this interview, I believe is the easy greatest contribution to understanding the human condition and the possibilities of transformation of humans. In a way, this contribution is of great value to connect to other developments of the human conditions in the work of philosophies of critical theory like Jurgen Habermas. Thanks very much Leonardo

WTM Admin

Thanks Leonardo. Yes, we now have the core explanation of our condition that finally allows all aspects of human life to fit together within the one framework. As Professor Prosen wrote in his introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s defiitive book FREEDOM, “I once read that the great philosophers each had an acute grasp of their own small piece of an unthinkably huge and interlocking puzzle, but nobody has ever put the pieces together into a single coherent system. Well, that is no longer the case because Jeremy provides that great unifying, make-sense-of-everything synthesis—for not only does his treatise explain the human condition—our species’ capacity for what has been called ‘good’ and ‘evil’ (in chapters 1 and 3)—his ability to plumb the great depths of this most foreboding of all subjects has meant that he has also been able to provide the fully accountable explanation of the other great outstanding mysteries in science of the meaning of human existence (chapter 4), the origin of our unconditionally selfless moral instincts (chapters 5 and 6), and why humans became conscious when other animals haven’t (chapter 7). And in unlocking those insights, he has in turn been able to make sense of every other aspect of our troubled human condition, including the strained relationship between men and women, sex as humans practice it, the origin and nature of politics, religion, and so many other human phenomena (chapter 8). Indeed, preposterous as it must seem, what this book effectively does is take humanity from a state of bewilderment about the nature of human behavior and existence to a state of profound understanding of our lives. It truly is a case of having got all the truth up in one go.”

Boghos L. Artinian

The interview makes sense to human beings who are not willing to enter the ultimate multi-human super-organism the global population is forming on Earth. Those who enter this super-organism to be part of it must totally lose freedom of thought and action. Boghos L. Artinian MD

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Boghos. Yes, as Jeremy Griffith explains in Part 4 of THE Interview, there has been a terrible pseudo-idealistic ‘false start’ to a cooperative world, however, as you indicate, it came at the cost of “freedom of thought and action”, which was exactly what was required to solve the human condition! In his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy focuses on politics and in particular the danger presented by the left wing, which is that its insistence on ideal behaviour oppresses the corrupting, but critcally important search for knowledge, whereas the right wing, through its support of selfish individualism, supported that all-critical search.

“Veritas Numquam Perit” - The Truth will Never Perish! Political Scientists must Stop Examining Animal Behaviour and Focus on Psychotic Psychology of the Politicians in Power!

WTM Admin

Yes, it is true that animal behaviour is a false excuse for our own selfish behaviour, which as we can now see, is rooted in a deep-seated insecurity over our worth, as a result of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash - in other words, our selfish and aggressive behaviour is psychological in origin, not genetic, as it is in other animals. However, it is wrong to think that it is only politicians who suffer from the human condition. The more you digest this understanding, the more you will realise how universal our psychologically upset condition is. It is worth including highly respected psychiatrist Professor Prosen’s words about its universality. He wrote: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/ psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin” (see FAQ 1.34 ‘How does this help with an individual’s depression and psychosis?’).

Rhonda Sims

Great read - enjoyed reading it. I’m glad to see hope out here I do feel better after reading this - a thank you for sharing.

Francis

Human condition can only be fully explained by a theory that does not ignore or exclude other dimensions of human life such as spiritual or mystical dimension in its principles. Biology or psychology alone cannot adequately account for a condition of an animal as complex as a human being.

WTM Admin

Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. We suggest that the more you digest this explanation, the more you will see that it does not exclude the ‘spiritual’ dimension of life. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, in particular FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’

Fascinating. Thank you

Georgia Walton

Such a fascinating insight. This falls in line with other readings I’ve done indicating an awakening after being preoccupied to the extreme with survival and security. This perspective is quite different though. If I understand correctly, we woke long ago when we realized our intellect could override instincts. This caused us to become mentally ill and must now overcome our psychological impairments.

Zafar Qureshi

Interesting talk and challenging interpretation of human consciousness. Indeed engaging.

Deacon Robert Walker MD

This presentation is nothing more than a currently relevant restatement of NATURALISM. It appears as a new insight only to those who were caught up into the cultural nihilism that denies even the exercise of our logical or rational capacity.

WTM Admin

To solve the human condition we ultimately needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

Ian Shepperdson

Not sure how we apply this.

WTM Admin

Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’, presents the answer to how we apply this understanding to our lives. It explains that it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world.     Once you begin to appreciate the transforming effect of no longer being driven by an insecurity over your self worth, you might want to begin investigating our How to Help page, which has all sorts of practical applications for getting this redeeming understanding to the world.

Brilliant and needs to be shared!

Nasser

I’m currently reading the book, and I would like just to ask a question. My question is: if the main reason of humans acquiring all of this incredible knowledge is the unconditionaly seeking for understanding of their environment, WHY didn’t other species, receive the same development, while perceiving an unacountable experiences to understand their environement. Otherwise, reaching, and even though passing this unprecedented high level of developing, indeed, with all of the disadvantages related to this? best regards

WTM Admin

Thanks Nasser. As we understanding it, you are asking why other species haven’t sought to understanding their environment like our early ancestors did, and as a result of this intellectual enquiring, developed the same ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash that our ancestors did. It is a fair question. The answer is that other animals have not become conscious, and therefore have not challenged their instincts. The reason they have not become conscious is explained in FAQ 5.4 ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’ Also we recommend Chapter 7 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM which provides a comprehensive explanation of how full consciousness developed in humans as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process which is absolutely fascinating.

Don Beaupre

Timing couldn’t be better we would all say, even if it’s never to late, Some with great studies and knowledge goes ahead and explains how humans failed, so it will take time again but the need to transform and convert our thoughts to understand that there is no other way we and our following generation could live a fine decent life in this resolved new world ..Cooperatives and loving thoughts would mean dematerialization. With minimal needs and love. As I am WOW LISTENING and realize that Generations to come could and should take the turn to this better world. Great interview and reveal. Thanks

Robin Wilson

Really disappointed to find you are still involving your theories with politics. I really recommend that if you want your theories taken seriously, you stop cranking about it. All you’re doing is generalizing and putting people off as a result. Not all “Lefties” are repressive, and I know plenty of people on the Right whose version of ‘the moral high ground’ is “My way or the highway.” Your ideas are good and deserve to be heard, but your opinions about political parties shouldn’t play any role here. I’ve written to you about this before. You’re relegating your theories to just another political rant every time you do this. And I can’t promote your ideas as long as you do that. It’s really offensive.

WTM Admin

Your complaint is addressed in FAQ 7.7 ‘Shouldn’t the WTM avoid taking sides in politics?’. In it, Jeremy Griffith explains that, "Taking sides is really just another description for thinking, and thinking is what we conscious humans have to do. We have to find understanding of what is a right choice and what is a wrong choice in a situation. And this is what I do with every aspect of the human condition, be it the conflict between men and women, between races, between civilisations, or in this case, the conflict between the cultures of the left and right wings in politics. At the deepest level of all, I bring understanding to the two sides of the whole human condition, the issue that has historically been referred to as ‘good and evil’, our cooperative, loving moral self and our competitive and aggressive upset self, with the objective of the whole human journey having been to find the reconciling understanding of those poles, which I do by explaining the good reason why we have been competitive and aggressive. To complain that that analysis favours one side over the other misses the point, which is that one side was right and the other wrong. There has been a good reason why we have been competitive and aggressive and not cooperative and loving, which means we humans weren’t bad after all. To end conflict or dispute, understanding had to be found of who is right and who is wrong: is the human race good or evil?—it turns out it wasn’t evil; has the culture of the Left been right or wrong?—it turns out it was wrong. The issue is not about taking sides, it’s about getting to the truth. As to why the culture or philosophy of the Left is wrong, I have fully explained that in my booklet Death by Dogma." We recommend the whole of that FAQ, along with Death by Dogma.

Dorin

You’re saying that the unjust burden of being called evil is what causes pent up rage that results in undeniable evil. This is brilliant? I think you’re mad at God and your ego will seek anything, absolutely anything, even as idiotic as possible, to deny God’s existence and His demand for holiness, a demand which we could never fulfill of ourselves, apart from Him. Seek Him for true freedom, don’t flee from Him.

WTM Admin

The real issue here is the difference between a more literal fundamentalist interpretation of scripture and our more biological, science-based interpretation. If you prefer the more literal interpretation then we respect your right to do that, as we hope you’ll respect our right to a science-based interpretation. Susan

Very interesting, for the most part. Can’t agree about the Left. It’s our real hope

WTM Admin

It does take some time to get your head around the paradox of the human condition, and in particular, how it applies to politics. We recommend Jeremy Griffith’s book, Death by Dogma, which is freely available on our homepage. In it Jeremy emphasises that while it is easy to identify with the ideal of everyone being cooperative and loving, the whole objective of the human journey was to find understanding of why humans have not been cooperative and loving and instead so divisively competitive and aggressive. That is the great riddle of the human condition that had to be explained. We can now see that the right wing, with its selfishness-sympathetic policies actually supported the corrupting journey to find that knowledge, while the left-wing, with its insistence on cooperative behaviour, served to impede that journey. However, with the redeeming understanding of our corrupted condition now found, we arrive at the final paradox of the human condition which is that through the right wing upholding the selfishness needed to persevere with the search for knowledge, we all now become left-wing (as it were, although the truth is that the whole ugly business of politics is now brought to a close).

Karl podesta

Thankyou for this, very interesting. But a long way to change the world.

WTM Admin

As Jeremy explains in chapter 9.9 of his book FREEDOM: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’” And so even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point in terms of awareness of this great breakthrough, you can see from the excitement and relief in our ecstatic responses to THE Interview, we are well on our way! Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

Lois Whelan

Thank you. Wonderful information about the human condition.

Herman

Underwhelmed. Nothing about how this ‘great’ revelation will be used to solve the problems of humankind beyond just letting people know they are good and all problems will be solved. It’s academic.

WTM Admin

The more you digest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, the more you realise the conclusion that it brings about the transformation of the world isn’t ‘academic’ at all. As Part 4, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’ explains, at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world.

Sherphard Tafirenyika

Incredible work, and how it reconciles the root cause and the effect. Amazing revelations.

Marilyn

Very interesting interview! I am curious to know what scientists think about this movement.

WTM Admin

As Jeremy Griffith points out in Part 2 of THE Interview the issue of the human condition has been such a denied and off-limits subject that confronting it represents the “biggest of all blasphemies”, and that “science progresses funeral by funeral” when it comes to supporting big paradigm shifts like this. So it is up to the resolve of individuals, including scientists, to help the WTM break through the road block of the legitimate fear and resulting deaf effect the subject of the human condition causes in most people, including scientists. You might find the following link helpful: FAQ 1.14 ‘Why aren’t these ideas mainstream’.     As to the veracity of Jeremy’s biological treatise, see FAQ 1.10 which outlines ‘What scientific evidence is there for this explanation’, and the outstanding commendations Jeremy’s work has received from extremely eminent scientists and thinkers can be seen here on our homepage.

ruthless

Sigh.. it so far seems as though these chaps have discovered sliced bread.

WTM Admin

Hi Ruthless, while various thinkers throughout history have recognised that our divisive, competitive and aggressive human condition is a product of a clash between our instincts and intellect, solving it required finding the clarifying explanation of the nature of that conflict, because only that could bring reconciling and transforming peace to our conflicted and divided selves, which is what biologist Jeremy Griffith has done in this interview, and what is unique about his work. You may find our FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new?’ helpful.

David Kairi Havae

An exciting conclusion to our anxieties in today’s world.

Bob8 Stewart

Great interview and accept humans diverted their journey as a social mammal when they let science chastise our spiritual nature and replace it with selfishness - and the idea that this is not our nature but manifestation of evil. Lots to dwell on.

WTM Admin

Wonderful to have your interest Bob! We just wanted to clarify that it was our instincts which ‘chastised’ our intellect’s experimentation. Basically, when the conscious mind started experimenting with self management, our instincts ‘criticised’ or ‘chastised’ that behaviour because it deviated from their naturally selected orientations; and our mind, unable to explain why we had experiment with these non-instinctive behaviours, felt insecure in the face of the criticism from our instincts. As Jeremy Griffith explains this conflict or battle between our instinct and intellect caused us to become defensive and retaliatory towards our instincts, we became ‘psychologically upset’ (angry, egocentric and alienated).     Jeremy also explains, without the defence of our aggressive behaviour we have not been able to admit how entirely cooperative and loving our ‘nature’ or instincts are. And the way we coped with that was for science to deny our altrusitic instincts and maintain our angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour was due to us having selfish, must-reproduce-our-genes, survival-of-the-fittest, ‘savage instincts’. (See FAQ 1.2 ‘How does science currently explain the human condition and FAQ 1.3 ‘What is Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition?’.) This new science presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking, as you say there is ‘lots to dwell on’, so we’d recommend watching THE Interview again and also you might find FAQ 1.42 ‘If our instincts are loving and cooperative why would they criticise the conscious mind when it began experimenting with different behaviour?’ most helpful.

Cath McLean

Carl Jung said that so little of our conscious knowing is available to us. Our unconscious is so often not available to our awareness. That’s why symbolically we can reveal some of our unconscious awareness, coming to consciousness.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your interest Cath. Yes Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung recognised that we have a personal unconscious and a ‘collective unconscious’, a collective, shared-by-all part of ourselves and that we have repressed, so we have been living in unconscious denial of a great deal of truth. What biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview finally explains why and that the only way humans could reconcile their divided self, or as Jung said ‘own our own shadow’, was to ameliorate the guilt we, our conscious thinking mind, feels for having corrupted our all-loving instinctive self or soul, and that could only be achieved by explaining why we had to endure becoming angry, egocentric and alienated—why our corrupted human condition was actually a heroic and loveable condition rather than a bad, shameful condition. Answering this question of questions, lifting the ‘great burden of guilt’ from the human race, required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. This is discussed in our FAQ 1.47 “How does Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition differ from the theories of Freud or Jung?” which is an absolutely fascinating read.

My worry is that 8.5 billion populace will not be able to come to this understanding all together so the selfishness shall continue 🥺

WTM Admin

Because this is a rational, accountable, scientific explanation, everyone will eventually take it up. So while it may take time for everyone to access this breakthrough (because the human condition has historically been such a fearful, off-limits topic), once this catches on through people recognising the importance of it and supporting it, the infectious enthusiasm and selfless love it liberates will spread like wildfire..
