It’s an explanation that I can accept and I have come to see the logic of the thesis in my own thinking about evolution and society. What I have not seen before and am still not fully persuaded about is the genetic contribution and the path to understanding that reconciles our conflicted human nature. I agree that we are hard wired to be loving and compassionate in our relations with others but how to trust others that are not close and not aware of their nature or who deny it, is very problematic. I will stay with the journey you have outlined.

The fact that counter opinion appears strangely absent, (as I imagine this comment will achieve) it would appear the representative of this position may have bitten off more than he could chew. I guess that’s my human condition.

I found this interview very interesting and useful. Caring of the fact that i am not native English speaker, i try to understand that those who read a lot use totally proper words to transfer the concept. I less likely find this words more often as a English learner. I am exalted to hear Jeremy lay out an immediate understanding of our human condition, and how it was not part of our original state of being. Human beings have been made to believe in the narrative taught at school, at home and in the community. Somewhere along our trajectory on this earth human beings lost touch with their already and always free state of being. Our natural state of being or self sense is always free from Phycological and emotional turmoil. The concepts of “guilt, self sacrifice, low esteem or anything self negative” were conjured by the deep state, the Christian church is/was another deep state invention to keep human beings in ignorance, brain washed by the narrative. What we see today is the product of hundreds or thousands of years of propaganda and lies, in order to keep mankind in darkness. The machine of propaganda and lies is causing the humanitarian crises that we are all going through now. The good news, as Jeremy explains is in the direct understanding or insight into our original and natural state of being. This is unbelievably simple, so simple that we miss it, we have been conditioned to believe the narrative to such an extent that simplicity in the sense of who and what we are, is nothing but a foolish proposition. I say to you now, it is as simple as the air that we breath. Fundamentally, there is nothing wrong with and the way we are, when we let this sink in, day after day we begin to shift away from a deluded perspective, a new way of thinking and self orientation begins to dawn in the collective consciousness that we all are, a miracle waiting to give birth will finally manifest through the collective mind and body of man and woman. All we need to do is never never again doubt our original, god given divine nature. The traumas and psychological wounds will naturally heal, as liberated souls man and woman will naturally be more interested in this mystery called life or intelligence than in the problems of the past

This has been a learning experience. I wish all psychiatrists and mental health workers can listen or have access to this video and book. It would improve their practice.

This interview is typical of the narrow western understanding of life and its purpose. It demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of human beings as a life form . Life is not about biology. Biology is a transient entity, finite in its nature. Life is a non finite entity. Life goes on when the biology of a human ends . So how can you say that life must be understood through biology; it’s patently, a rubbish position, from a source who cannot even define what life is .

While using biblical references you deny God is the creator and we are created in his image. I don’t think God was an ape. Our human condition is sin and Jesus Christ came for that reason. If you use the Bible in your argument Maybe you should have a better understanding of the Bible.

As a child I was told to kneel and pray in return for forgiveness for nothing to confess and only he could banish my sins. At 51 I thought I’d never find the answer to life. Then today a Saint appeared, Jeremy.

Has anyone provided proof of God’s inexistence.....Not even close Has quantum cosmology explained the emergence of the universe, or why it is even here...Not even close Has the scientist explained why our universe is fined tuned to allow for the existence of life..Not even close. Are physicists and biologists willing to believe in anything, as long as it is not Religious thought....Close enough Has rationalism and Immoral thought provided us with an understanding of what is good and what is moral, and what is right....Not close enough. Has secularism in the terrible 20th century been a force for Good...Not even close to being close. Is there a narrow and oppressive orthodoxy of thought and opinion within the sciences...Close enough Does anything in the sciences or in their philosophy justify the claim that religious beliefs are irrational??...Not even in the ball park. Is scientific athiesim a frivolous exercise in intellectual contempt....Dead On.

I was 13 when I read Konrad Lorenz’s book“Man meets dog” and realised the behaviours of two dogs confronting eachother was exactly like the US and Russia ...60 years ago at the height of the Cold War....if one accepts Darwin then a biological explanation is only possible one

Ah at last, someone has explained the Human condition, sadly the masses will not be listening. For myself I left the country of my birth exactly for the fact that, since a very young age I could not understand the stupidity of Politicians and the lack of day to day knowledge of educators and the general hatred of some people of other races .Sadly I see it in Australia also.

I respect your hypothesis but Adam and Eve account is a Hebrew myth of creation.The subject of the story is God and not the creation.God is mighty and created the world including man.The Hebrew God Yahweh is incomparable.All creation are accountable to God.I would use a scientific hypothesis and not a mythical person.

i think and believe that the number one thing to change the humans lives and transform it to a peaceful and happy is to control and reduce the human population and free humanity from the dark age ideologies(religions)the meaning of life is to achive its desires and peace of mind and this is only possible when humans population reduced to a reasonable number so that the global wealth is contributed then nearly every individual can live not high standard of living but atleast moderate standard.

While I’m pleased the human condition has supposedly been explained. I’m absolutely a gasp to hear that the explanation relies on driving the idea that all other creatures other than humans are aggressive. This is just not the case. It is humans that have driven animals to aggression through their murder by humans. How do I know this because I have spent my life understanding that all animals other than humans are naturally gentle & nurturing. Not just hoboes. I am of the idea that if you treat all those in your environment with kindness, mostly kindness is what you will receive in return.

Might be relevant if Jeremy Griffith knew what instinct and intellect actually were. Can no one see the obvious errors in his arguments.

This is incredibly insightful. The only issue I have, it comes across as slightly dogmatic(which he rightly condemns). “Put down the glasses, all our issues are solved, it’s over we can all go home now” I’m sure that’s not what he meant but just an observation. I must look into this in depth. Thank you!

My inner battle doesn’t know what to do with this information. Its so simple. I’ve always wanted the grand reason, the ultimate reason. And, that reason needed to come in on trumpets, like the Christ. But this...this cuts deep and fast. A simple explanation, yet so profound. I am digesting it.

The human condition is a very sick condition i think it will self destruct and be replaced by a by a more advanced type of being -human beings are not necessary to the workings of the universe .

So why do we still have wars, animals don’t war, in fact the, animal kingdom have it right.

As an African who grew up in a traditional African family, I still have a very strong affinity to that non-competitive communal society that our grand parents tried to teach us. A stronger affinity than, say, Westeners or even Easterners. Maybe other indigenous communities also still have the secrets of how they were able to remain in communal peace while their generally pale skinned brothers were busy killing each other and making global escapades to go and kill whoever they found there. Indigenous people are definitely less far removed from the communal instinct of our predecessors. Indigenous people could potentially lead the way in identifying the trait or behaviours that can be associated with such successful transitioning from from animal to man without any self-destructive tendencies. Lol am liking this discussion.

It was very very early morning when I listened but I enjoyed what I heard! It gave me great hope for the human race!!! Religion-wise, I was feeling consoled that maybe, the world was coming to it’s end. But the interview was truly exhilarating especially that it is clear and really believable! Its what we as Muslims know as the nafs. The inner self. The lower self inclines to base desires, serving oneself and when one overindulges, by default, declines into layers of darknesses; psychologicaly and emotionaly causing turmoil and unrest to oneslef and all those around you. And theres the higher self inclined to serving others, submitting to the greater good and a higher spiritual state with a desire not what is right before oneself but rather looking ahead. At the end of the day its restraint from sin and harming oneself and others. Instead striving towards sainthood and not harming oneself or others, self preservation, preservation of others and humanity.
