What is the context question that this is an answer to?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

The following passage is from Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM: “are we essentially ‘good’ and, if so, what is the cause of our destructive, insensitive and cruel, so-called ‘evil’ side? Why do we thinking, reasoning, rational, immensely clever, supposedly sensible beings behave so abominably and cause so much suffering and devastation? Yes, the eternal question has been why ‘evil’? What is the origin of the dark, volcanic forces that undeniably exist within us humans? What is it deep within us humans that troubles us so terribly? What is it that makes us such a combative, ruthless, hateful, retaliatory, violent, in-truth-psychologically-disturbed creature? In metaphysical religious terms, what is ‘the origin of sin’? More generally, if the universally accepted ideals of life are to be cooperative, loving and selfless—ideals that have been accepted by modern civilisations as the foundations for constitutions and laws and by the founders of all the great religions as the basis of their teachings—why are humans competitive, aggressive and selfish? Indeed, so ruthlessly competitive, selfish and brutal that life has become all but unbearable and we have nearly destroyed our own planet? Does our inconsistency with the ideals mean we are essentially bad, a flawed species, an evolutionary mistake, a blight on Earth, a cancer in the universe—or could we possibly be divine beings? And, more to the point, is the human race faced with having to live forever in this tormented state of uncertainty and insecurity about the fundamental worth and meaning of our lives? Is it our species’ destiny to have to live in a state of permanent damnation?!”

RICHARD

By far, this is the most crucial, deserving, or simply a unique chapter in the entire history of human civilization that profoundly stands out with clearly established scientific evidence in order to save the world from sinking deeper into pain and suffering, unhappiness, confusion, hatred, conflicts, wars and crime etc.. Therefore, conditioning the human mind is ultimately the most important and most fundamental key step in all of human endeavour to find a lasting solution as a guarantee for ensuring total safety, security, welfare, peace, joy, happiness, comfort, harmony, loving and caring to be enjoyed by all human beings on the entire planet. I fully support this because it will change the entire world forever for the better. It may not be achieved overnight but rest assured - given the appropriate level of support, commitment, persistence, ongoing public awareness through continued advocacy using all available modes of communication the whole world will finally achieve the most desired outcome - PEACE, HAPPINESS and JOY.

Founded it to be in line and progression with what I’ve been studying with Dr Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden, Bashar, and other scientists.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you Ester. It is important to point out that there is a huge difference between what the likes of Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden and Joe Dispenza are promoting, which is essentially an extremely dishonest and superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angle, and Jeremy’s instinct vs intellect treatise. As THE Interview explains it is our destructively behaved, so-called human condition that really has to be dealt with if we are to solve the world’s problems and heal the human race. To do this we had to answer the age-old question of ‘why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, are we so angry, competitive and selfish?’, and this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. We recommend Freedom Essay 63: Pseudo therapy/healing, and you may find FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new?’ of interest.

....everything make sence now... it fells like mindblowing, but its the more or less inner felt truth.

Daniel Solloway PhD

I’m 77 years old I’ve been studying the human condition since I first started reading philosophy when I was 16 years old I think I have a pretty good handle on it, but let’s see if this is not something even more profound

It’s all about knowledge that either stacks up or it doesn’t – and if it doesn’t you should throw it over your shoulder and reject it Daniel. But as the ecstatic comments on our FIX THE WORLD homepage indicate, we don’t think you will be disappointed!

So interesting and easy to understand why human beings are the way we are.

Leta

Much that has been said gives a valid explanation for our human psychosis , however….there are some glitches. The example of the Bonobos is questionable in that are you saying that they have evolved their consciousness and so eliminated their biological imperatives so they no longer have these conflicts of interest?? Or are they just naturally mild mannered mammals?? If there never was a conflict between their survival instincts interfering with their loving natures then they are an anomaly not an example. I totally agree that our species has some kind of psychosis brought on by the nature of our brains being as they are but I don’t think that we ever had a dominant spirit of goodwill but only as our species became more pervasive on the planet did competition for resources make us more antagonistic towards each other and especially the other that was not your own. And he should have left political innuendo out!!

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you for your comment. There is, however, an important misunderstanding here. Jeremy is not suggesting that our conscious mind had to overcome or control selfish “survival instincts”. His explanation is actually the reverse: he argues that our original instinctive orientation was fundamentally cooperative and loving, and that the psychologically upset, competitive and aggressive state emerged later with consciousness.

The conflict arose because a conscious mind has to experiment in order to develop understanding, and those experiments inevitably sometimes departed from our already-established instinctive orientations. Unable to explain why it had to defy those instincts, the conscious mind became insecure and defensive, producing the anger, egocentricity and alienation that characterises the human condition.

The bonobos are therefore relevant not because they became conscious and overcame their biological imperatives, but because their relatively cooperative and non-aggressive nature provides evidence of our own cooperative and loving heritage. Griffith’s argument is that our species’ extraordinary aggression is not the expression of primitive survival instincts, but the result of the psychological upset that accompanied our development of consciousness, see Freedom Essay 21.

The holy grail indeed

Leonard Evanson

Some yrs ago I read Carl Jung and appreciated it greatly. I read a lot of science and history, especially ancient. I found this interview most enlightening. Thank you for the presentation which I have saved.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

We really appreciate your interest and support, Leonard.

We recommend reading FAQ 1.47 “How does Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition differ from the theories of Freud or Jung?”, as it explains how Jeremy’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition varies with Jung’s work. But essentially, the only way humans could, as Jung said, ‘own our own shadow’ was to ameliorate the guilt we, our conscious thinking mind, feels for having corrupted our all-loving instinctive self or soul, and that could only be achieved by explaining why we had to endure becoming angry, egocentric and alienated—why our corrupted human condition was actually a heroic and loveable condition rather than a bad, ‘evil’, ‘sinful’ condition. Answering this question of questions, lifting the ‘great burden of guilt’ from the human race, required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. Which is why Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said, ‘I have no doubt this biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.’

Andree Dollery

Fabulous discussion about human condition. Especially interesting about the Bonobos character. If we were originally like this and then changed 2000 years ago due to us becoming “aware” of ourselves re Adam the stork. As I have never felt guilty or worried about the human condition of being evil as it was in our Genes I now feel a bit guilty that I was never concerned but now feel pleased that we can all get backcto the Bonobo state now that we know it is not in our genes the big question is HOW do we do this. Xx

FIX THE WORLD Admin

That’s wonderful you found THE Interview so revealing Andree and your openness is a powerful illustration of how we have previously coped with the subject of the human condition. As Jeremy Griffith explains humans are born with loving instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. He also explains we have needed to come up with scientific excuses in order to cope with the negative implications of our psychologically upset behaviour. To quote Part 1: “the ‘savage instincts’ explanation was just a convenient excuse while we searched for the psychosis-addressing-and-solving real explanation of our divisive behaviour”.

It certainly is fascinating to learn about the bonobo apes and in Part 3 Jeremy explains just how cooperative and loving they are and how they demonstrate the nurturing based love-indoctrination process that created our cooperative instincts (further explained in FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we acquire our moral soul / What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’). So we can now appreciate just how sensitive and nurturing bonobos are but just to clarify having the human condition explained doesn’t cause a retreat to a bonobo-like state, loving as that may be, but a progression of the human species into a conscious, fully reconciled, cooperative and loving state. As the poet T.S Eliot wrote, “We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploring / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time”.

What you say about never previously feeling guilt about our “human condition evil” behaviour, because you thought it was genetic, confirms how effective the ‘savage instincts’ excuse has been in protecting us from the ‘burden of guilt’ humans have endured for having corrupted our original loving soul. As Jeremy explains in Part 2: “...the fossil record of our ancestors suggests that our large association-cortexed, thinking, fully conscious brain appeared some 2 million years ago, that means for almost all of the 2 million years we have been conscious we have had no ability to explain and understand why we corrupted our original innocent instinctive self or soul. And without that redeeming explanation the only way we could cope with the astronomical guilt of having destroyed ‘Eden’, has been to deny we ever lived in a cooperative and loving innocent state—and that’s exactly where the excuse that we have savage competitive and aggressive instincts like other animals came to our rescue. And, false as it is, it’s been an absolutely brilliant excuse because instead of our instincts being all-loving and thus unbearably condemning of our present non-loving state, they are made out to be vicious and brutal must-reproduce-your-genes instincts like other animals have...”

So having the human condition explained does reveal the truth about our loving past but also our upset condition, however importantly, it doesn’t condemn us, rather it compassionately explains we are ‘good’ and not ‘bad’ for taking on the corrupting search for knowledge. We can know that our competitive and selfish behaviour was an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. So understanding why we had to defy our instincts and become upset removes the guilt and associated defensive reactions that are the source of our anger, egocentricity and alienation — it couldn’t be a bigger and more exciting breakthrough!!

This obviously presents a massive paradigm shift in how we view ourselves which takes time to fully absorb. So we recommend you re-watch THE Interview (and don’t miss it’s new extremely helpful 2026 addition, Please, Please, Beware The ‘Deaf Effect’!, where Jeremy warns of, and solves, the initial understandable ‘Deaf Effect’ difficulty of taking in or ‘hearing’ analysis of the human condition). Especially re-watch Part 4 of THE Interview as it answers your question ‘HOW do we do this’. Also see FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 and Freedom Essay 15 as they talk about the far-reaching practical applications of this understanding and the Transformed Way of Living, which is the fabulous way we deal with the personal transparency and confronting nature of the human condition. As Jeremy writes in F. Essay 15, “You and every other human can, as it were, put the issue of all your upsets/ corruptions in a ‘suitcase’, attach a label to it saying ‘Everything in here is now explained and defended’, and simply leave that suitcase behind at the entrance to what we at FIX THE WORLD call the Sunshine Highway, and set out unencumbered by all those upset behaviours into a new world that is effectively free of the human condition.” So the human condition is no longer an unbearably depressing subject, that we have to feel guilty about, as we can now bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and significantly we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us. Also for the most detailed explanation of the transformation that is now possible we recommend Jeremy’s two seminal presentations on the topic: The Great Transformation and Sermon On The Beach.

How do we get Putin to hear this

FIX THE WORLD Admin

What is explained by Jeremy Griffith in THE Interview is that all human aggression and anger, in our individual lives right through to international conflicts, is ultimately an expression of our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. We suggest that as you digest Jeremy’s understanding of the human condition, you will see that the only way we could end our destructive behaviour, and legitimately return to the cooperative and loving state humanity once lived in and we all long for, was through removing the insecurity that was driving that divisive behaviour, which is what Jeremy’s explanation makes possible. For a deeper analysis of the Ukraine crisis (and the wider assault on Western civilisation), we recommend our FAQ 7.6 and you may also be interested in Freedom Essay 29, ‘Can human conflict ever be brought to an end’.

Diane Grady

So amazingly interesting. I have been working with Joe Dispenza’s work and have been on this path for 33 years now. I will definitely be looking into The Human Condition as I keep advancing on this fabulous journey. Thank you Diane

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Hi Diane, it’s great to hear you find THE Interview so interesting and that you will continue looking into the human condition! We do encourage people to watch it a few times as Jeremy Griffith’s work introduces a new scientific paradigm (based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition) so it does require some digestion time to absorb this new understanding and appreciate the critical difference between Jeremy’s work and that of Joe Dispenza. For example, it will help make clear that to be able to authentically change our mindset, and help and heal each other, someone had to explain the source of our species’ corrupted condition and biologically establish our fundamental goodness, and that is what we are suggesting Jeremy has achieved. To quote our FAQ 6.5 ‘Is this just another self help, New Age movement?’: “There has been much talk of the need to love each other and the environment, but the real need on Earth has been to love the dark side of ourselves, to find reconciling and redeeming understanding of our species’ extraordinary capacity for brutality, selfish indifference to others, hate, anger, oppression, meanness, cruelty, devastation and destruction—to explain the psychological origins of our deeply distressed so-called human condition and by so doing heal our troubled souls and set ourselves free from our 2-million-years corrupted condition. And it is precisely that all-important explaining, redeeming, reconciling and liberating understanding of ourselves that is presented in biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work... There have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition, which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere—and the reason is because they don’t solve the human condition, bring relieving understanding to it... Being able to understand the human condition is what actually allows humans to accept and be nonjudgmental about their pain, and truly be calmly mindfully aware about their life.” Sending you lots of encouragement Diane.

Guy Pageau

This is so simple that it’s making our angry and complicated generation saying it’s impossible. For me we have somebody who is showing us That man originated through LOVE! And LOVE is the key to it all. I would really like to get the book. With LOVE, GUY

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you for your comment Guy, it’s great to have your interest. Yes Jeremy Griffith’s explanation is very simple however the human condition has historically been an unbearably confronting and fearful subject, and as a result people can find it initially difficult to take in or ‘hear’ discussion of it. This is obstacle is explained and solved in Jeremy’s new addition to THE Interview titled Please, Please, Beware The ‘Deaf Effect’!. Also the astonishing claims being made about Jeremy’s work do warrant initial scepticism however the beauty of these ideas is that they are fully accountable, scientific explanations, so everyone can follow the logic and verify for themselves if it makes sense of existence, see FAQ 1.9 ‘Why people can have confidence in these claims'. And it makes sense this sceptism will be especially so for “our angry and complicated” younger generations because, as Jeremy explains in Part 2 of THE Interview, “While we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it, the truth is that on a graph [included in THE Interview] showing the ever-increasing levels of upset in humans, those levels, especially of psychosis and alienation, have been increasing so rapidly lately that the line tracking their rise is near vertical with the amount of upset virtually doubling now in each new generation!”

However, as you are clearly seeing Guy, at last we can return to our instinctive loving way of being but that depended on bringing biological understanding to what love is which is unconditional selflessness, and that is a truth we couldn’t safely admit until we could explain the human condition—explain why our human behaviour has often been so unloving. To be able to explain the significance of unconditional selflessness in our lives, and in the development of humanity, makes sense of our world as there is actually (as discussed in THE Interview) a clear theme or purpose or meaning of existence, which is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy – see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is God?’. Also Jeremy’s book titled The Book Of Real Answers To Everything! includes the essay ‘What is Love‘ which you may like to read.

Gail Worland

Wow

Elizabeth

Very interesting explained in a simple way

JoeC

All of these deeply thought out questions can be answered by believing in Jesus Christ as the savior and redeemer that others in the comments say we need. Love one another. Love God. Love. Love is the answer. It would mean no more wars, atrocities, discrimination or hate. Only social cohesion and team work to achieve the goals we all say we want. Don’t over complicate it.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

We have the deepest respect for people’s religious views JoeC and it is important to clarify that biologist Jeremy Griffith work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or religion. It simply brings biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. In terms of Christianity and Christ, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in Freedom Essay 39. So while religious assurances, such as ‘God loves you’ provided comfort, they failed to explain WHY we are lovable, and it is that missing explanation that this breakthrough provides. Additionally, it can now be explained scientifically that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. (Our FAQs about religion include FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.) The difference being that we can now with the benefit of science, bring clarifying, first-principle biological explanation to our so-called ‘good and evil’-afflicted human condition and why we had to depart from our original innocence, whilst religion had to rely on metaphor and a more literal interpretation. It’s also important to stress solving the human condition doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous attrocities humans can commit that you mention rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’.

Pamela Mcgaughey

I’m listening with an open mind. I’m enjoying this video. Very well done.

Merridee Lee-Hong

Fantastic and very understandable ..I have always raised as a metaphor mantra with individuals to think about this statement ‘the measure of a man or woman’

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you for your positive feedback Merridee and yes at last we can biologically understand the measure of humans. To finally be able to explain the human condition is astonishingly powerful as it gives us the ability to understand every aspect of our behaviour. To quote FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is this explanation important to my life?':

“The inability to understand the human condition—understand why we humans are fundamentally good and not some sort of terrible mistake—has been an agonising situation for humans to have endured. It meant that our lives were characterised by insecurity and a boundless need to prove ourselves. The relief then, of finally being able to understand ourselves, and those around us, will flood our whole being—dissipating all the bewilderment, misunderstanding, frustration and anger, and putting an end to all the defensive dishonesty and lies that we’ve had to employ to cope with the confusion and uncertainty about our existence.

With our goodness and worth established through understanding, we will no longer need to be constantly preoccupied with proving our goodness and worth through artificial forms of reinforcement, such as through winning power, fame, fortune and glory, and this ability to finally love ourselves will give us the freedom and generosity to properly help others and to fully enjoy and savour the world we live in.”

David Townsend

I found out about man made changes in 1959 whilst training as an industrial chemist. It’s an uphill battle convincing those with the power to change that.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Hi David, thanks for your comment. Yes all the problems in the world are caused by us humans but what is unique about biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work is it explains and solves what is driving this destructive behaviour — the human condition. As the renowned playwright Eugène Ionesco wrote, “It is the human condition that directs the social condition, not vice versa.” Only solving the human condition, addressing the source of our selfish psychological upset condition, could we achieve real and lasting change and stop the devastation of our world and disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look. You may find these FAQs helpful, FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding solve everything’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful?'.

Dr Romesh Saini

This is a great interview. And I am fully convinced that if humanity exercises her collective will, human condition can be fully addressed. But it will take an unparalleled and groundbreaking effort of planetary size and scale for humanity to solve this problem once and for all. Let us all come together to make our shared planetary home, our cosmic home and our only home in the universe where each and every planet citizen can live with dignity and respect and can achieve the highest quality of life full of joy, optimal overall health and pain-free and enjoyable longevity.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

It’s marvellous to have your interest Dr Saini. It takes time to see how universal this solution is, especially since we have never before seen the power of finally being able to understand the human condition. Certainly there are challenges to be overcome but to quote Video/Freedom Essay 5: “Really, the transformation of the world is already a fait accompli, a certainty—sure, it will take a little time to get started, but what will win the day is logic. Humans are thinking, rational beings so when all the logic points in one direction then there is really no choice but for every single human to take that path, and eventually they will. It will be slow for a start because humans hate and resist change, but nonetheless change does happen when an idea’s time has come. As author Victor Hugo famously said, ‘An invasion of armies can be resisted but not an idea whose time has come’ (Histoire d’un crime, 1852). And with all the crises and suffering and mental agony in the world now, this idea’s time has most certainly come! So, as more and more people catch on to this logical, rational, fully accountable explanation of the human condition, the transformation will begin to sweep the world. When the word gets out about this awesome breakthrough there’s going to be an absolute stampede—it’s going to be on for young and old!”. And this stampede has begun! Just read the daily ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving at the top of on our homepage and scroll down to see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s treatise with outstanding commendations from leading thinkers and scientists and over 80 FIX THE WORLD Centres all over the world! As well, our Transformation page on our website further explains what is presented in Part 4 of THE Interview about how this fixes the world and illustrates this rehabilitation of the human race with many affirmations from people about how this understanding has fixed and transformed their and their families lives. (Also, our FAQ 6.5 clarifies that this understanding is not another new age-type false start to a new world for humans that can’t and doesn’t last.)

Dennis

I’m very interested in the information

Mel

The ideal mental condition covered is freedom from the majority of guilt and evil. Where does islam fit in this picture?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Yes Mel, finally being able to biologically explain the human condition brings enormous freedom and relief as everything can now be sourced back to our state of guilt and shame for having had to destroy our all-loving cooperative soul and the integrative way in which we used to live in. As Jeremy Griffith stresses in Part 4 of the THE Interview, what explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. To quote: "Well, what this real—and actually very obvious—instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously angry, egocentric and alienated from our different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. And this ability to understand and know there was a good reason why the human race became psychologically upset, is the key, relieving understanding we have been in search of ever since we became conscious some 2 million years ago and our corrupted condition emerged. That is the key relief for our mind—being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all." Also, most importantly, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction what we have historically termed ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’ behaviour, rather it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour?’.

Jeremy has a deep respect for religious scripture that he often considers to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view, which his work simply brings biological understanding to. He explains that religion has played a key role in humanity’s journey as the custodians of the ideals of life while the search for the liberating understanding of humans’ ‘fallen’ condition was underway, and which science has now provided. One of the significant aspects of Jeremy’s work is that it brings about the reconciliation of science and religion and is the fulfilment of the great founding prophets of religion who looked forward to the arrival of the reconciling understanding of the human condition—as Jeremy writes in Freedom Expanded: Book 2’, “A human-condition-free world was also anticipated by the prophet Muhammad of the Islamic faith when he spoke of ‘that which is coming’ when we will ‘hear no idle talk, no sinful speech, but only the greeting, “Peace! Peace!”’ (The Koran, ch.56).” This is fully explained in FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine a faith in religion?’ and FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology, why the religious references?’.

This biological explanation is brighter and shining which I call the last trumpet 🤙🇿🇲🌹

Diosdado

Listening to the two of you speak about the troubled human condition—essentially an internal conflict, a war between instinct and consciousness—and presenting a process by which this condition is resolved is like watching Adam and Eve discover a detour back to the Garden of Eden. I cannot help but think of Hulk in Avengers: Endgame as a “Stork Adam,” already a merged persona combining Bruce Banner’s intellect with Hulk’s strength, reconciling brute instincts with caring consciousness in one person. The idea of science as redeemer—the savior of the troubled human condition—is compelling. Yet, however grand it may be, it only removes guilt from acting out of disorder. Other dimensions of the human condition, as espoused by religious doctrines—such as sin, death, and what lies beyond death—still hang over the head of the conscious Adam and Eve.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thanks for the comment. One important distinction in Griffith’s explanation is that our instincts are not “brute” or selfish; he argues that they are fundamentally loving and cooperative. It is the conscious intellect, having become psychologically upset through its conflict with those instincts, that is responsible for humanity’s angry, egocentric and destructive behaviour.

Also, the other aspects you mention are not left unexplained. What religion has traditionally called “sin” is, in Griffith’s account, essentially another way of describing our psychologically upset human condition. And fear of death is explained as a symptom of that insecure and alienated condition, rather than its cause, as discussed in FAQ 1.53.

First time someone gives hope at the end of this madness we call life.

I saw a program about near-death experience. What is that?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Jeremy Griffith explains near death experiences in his definitive book, FREEDOM, in paragraphs 997 and 1200, and we have included the former passage below. Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition makes clear how much deep fear we all live in of the whole subject of the human condition, and how utterly preoccupied we are in keeping away from it and proving our sense of self worth.

“What occurs during a so-called Near-Death Experience actually illustrates what is occurring in some minds that have completely dissociated from reality. For instance, mountain climbers who survive falls that they were convinced would be fatal (they were saved, perhaps, by landing in a snow drift) often report that during those near-death moments they experienced a state of extraordinary euphoria in which the world suddenly appeared utterly beautiful and radiant and that they were flooded with a feeling of ecstatic enthrallment. With understanding of the horror of the human condition we can appreciate how, in such cases, the mind would give up worrying, and that all the facades—in particular the denial they adopted at Resignation—would become meaningless [read about Resignation in Freedom Essay 30]. If death is seemingly imminent, there is no longer any reason to worry or to pretend, at which point the struggle and agony and pretence of having to live under the duress of the human condition ceases and the true world of our all-sensitive soul suddenly surfaces.”

Thank you for this. It is magnificent❣️ I will listen again and have shared this video with others. What an undertaking and accomplishment of the team that has delved into this. Bravo!!!

Ray

I strongly suggest that anybody interested in this subject read the Naked Ape by Desmond Morris, I think this is a much simpler explanation about human behaviour

FIX THE WORLD Admin

There is a lot to digest here, so we advise everyone to take their time. For example, we can now understand that our core instinctive orientation is to be loving and cooperative (see more on this in Freedom Essay 21), however, unable to defend our non-loving, divisive behaviour, admitting our core instinctive orientation was to be loving and cooperative left us unbearably condemned, and so we employed the false excuse that we have savage instincts like other animals. This idea is ubiquitous, and has many sophisticated modern forms, but in the past has famously been propounded by such anthropological commentators as Raymond Dart, Konrad Lorenz, Desmond Morris and Robert Ardrey.

Luk

And how is this information going to change my psychotic life?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Hi Luk, thank you for your question. What is so significant about Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because that core goodness as individuals, and as a species, has been biologically established. We can know humans’ psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. At last we can understand the source of our upset and trauma and bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and, most significantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us which is an important part of the transformation this brings to our lives — as our FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure’ explains. Also, as psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of” — see FAQ 1.34 ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis?’ This is immensely relieving but it introduces an entirely new framework of knowledge, a massive paradigm shift in how we view ourselves and our world, so we recommend people take it slowly and not rush ahead in themselves as it does take time to fully digest and integrate such a shift in thinking.

Should have left out the political referencing of right and left political divisions. Makes it divisively political. Some sound biological soundness but the psychopathy of it in entirety needs some reworking or more contemplation. Not quite sound in all of it’s presentation.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Firstly, this breakthrough instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition establishes the equality of all humans and brings compassionate and thus safe understanding to ALL of human behaviour.

This work opens up a new way of thinking so it takes a little time to fully absorb this new paradigm. For example, while it is easy to identify with the left wing ideal of everyone being cooperative and loving, the whole objective of the human journey was to find understanding of why humans have not been cooperative and loving and instead so divisively competitive and aggressive. That is the great riddle of the human condition that had to be explained, and it was the right wing that allowed the selfishness needed to persevere with that search for knowledge.

And most wonderfully of all, by revealing the reason we have been so competitive nad aggressive, it ends the need for that divisive behaviour. Yes, that is the final paradox of the human condition: through the right wing upholding the selfishness needed to persevere with the search for knowledge, we all now become left-wing (as it were, although the truth is that the whole ugly business of politics is now brought to a close). Please see our FAQs on politics.

Intriguing, but several questions still emerge after watching this interview. Possibly reading one of his books will answer those questions.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

It’s wonderful to have your interest Cindy and to learn that you’d like to explore what is presented in THE Interview further. Even though THE Interview is a summary presentation it does provide references to more comprehensive material so exploring those links may be helpful in terms of answering your questions. Also, to assist enquirers our website is full of free information (FAQs, books, essays, podcasts) that really assist in answering questions that THE Interview might throw up in people’s minds so we encourage people to benefit from exploring all those free resources on our website HumanCondition.com! In terms of reading one of Jeremy’s books, after watching THE Interview and it’s new addition Please, Please Beware The Deaf Effect (where Jeremy warns of, and presents and solves, the initial ‘Deaf Effect’ difficulty of taking in or ‘hearing’ analysis of the human condition) our homepage guides you through how best to pursue your interest, just go to the ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?’ section.

John Rowe

So effing boring an introduction, get to the essence of what your espousing immediatly, otherwise you not only risk losing your readership interest, BUT GUARANTEEING IT . Dont waffle on , just get to the punch line .

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Hi John, while great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview) the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can make it hard to understand all that is explained in one viewing. This fear is comprehensively explained in Jeremy Griffith’s extremely helpful new addition to THE Interview titled Please, Please, Beware The ‘Deaf Effect’!, where he warns of, and presents the solution to, the initial ‘Deaf Effect’ difficulty of taking in or ‘hearing’ analysis of the human condition. (These two key presentations provide the ideal introduction to Jeremy’s explanation and are free to watch or read at the top of our homepage.) Also you may find our FAQ 1.3 helpful as it presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

Andrew

The comments about the left particularly socialism is sadly misguided. Socialism is by consent the acceptance that all people can have parity and at the same time looking out for each other while striving for moral self improvement, The right have been the driving force of division, gluttony and greed and through dogmatic systems been responsible for the cruelty and deaths of millions of innocent humans as is well documented in our historical archives. What you are describing is the most fundamental tenets of socialism. Why do you think that supporting needy members of society is not good. The greatest people that give their resources to help people in crisis do so without the need for gratification but out of fellow feeling. This part of your presentation needs serious revision. I agree with the rest of your presentation, profound and logical. Thank you, Andrew

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you for your thoughts Andrew. Biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition allows us to understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wing. His work certainly recognises the destructive brutality of the right-wing; indeed he brings understanding to the whole extremely destructive angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. He also recognises the failing of the Left, which is that its dogmatic insistence on cooperative, selfless and loving behaviour stifled and oppressed the freedom of expression and individualism needed to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, the redeeming understanding of our seemingly destructive human condition that thankfully he has now found and presents in his book FREEDOM. Basically his work brings profound understanding to both sides, which ultimately brings to an end the whole ugly business of politics. This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics which you might find helpful.

Regarding Socialism, Jeremy explains that while it is of course important to look after the less fortunate in our society, the limitation of Socialism is that, as mentioned above, it seeks to bring about a just, cooperative society by simply and dogmatically demanding an idealistic social or communal world without acknowledging the reality of the human condition and the unjust but necessary struggle it created. As Jeremy points out in FREEDOM, “Karl Marx, the political theorist whose mid-nineteenth century ideas gave rise to socialism and communism, argued that ‘The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is [not to understand the world but] to change it.’ By ‘change it’ Marx meant just make it cooperative or social or communal, but he was wrong—the whole ‘point’ and responsibility of being a conscious being is to understand our world and place in it, ultimately to find understanding of the human condition. The attraction—and inherent lie—of socialism/communism was that you could support and live the ideals without acknowledging the reality of the human condition and its struggle.”

morten

thank you for this. .

John

Why is it that Jesus Christ of scripture, who was, who is, and who is to come, is not considered as the answer to the world’s human condition you speak of?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

We certainly respect people’s religious views John and it is important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity, or the Bible’s content. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in Freedom Essay 39. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. You might find our FAQs about religion of interest, especially FAQ 6.3 ‘Aren’t all Griffith’s demystifications of religious teachings going to be seen by supporters of religion as blasphemy? / Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God?'. In dealing with such a historically difficult subject for us humans, these biological explanations of the human condition are very confronting by nature and in addition although ultimately a fulfilment of religion they do demystify religious concepts which some people can find incredibly challenging and we encourage everyone to take their time investigating what’s being presented.

Wouldn’t you say that what you say is correct of course. with the experience of NDEs. that some come back with a message of wisdom to be in general Christlike. not be a EGO. to be humble. to not look at faith as a shame-based thing. Mankind has made faith a shame-based thing. Especially here in the USA bible belt. But if we look at all religions. That the golden rule and to have respect, dignity and to treat others with the same energy as we want to experience. Human rights. Mankind does have so much potential. This life is a gift.It isnt meant to be a shame-based thing. My spouse had a NDE and was blind , so I know NDEs are for real. I think mankind has not embraced science as much as we should. Personally, My vision as imperfect as it is. I technically should be blind totally. I am a person with low vision. Ive had retina detachments, cataracts and am like a cat with nine lives so to speak. Living on borrowed time seeing. it is a gift to not be taken for granted. Being grateful to see a butterfly, rainbow or a cute kitten. I thank God for science and technology.Assistive technology has enabled me to go to college. Ive been upset with mankind seeing what has happened thorough my lifetime.Again I thank you for this. I will introduce this to my family. Personally we seek to be Christlike. But I myself seek wisdom from Indigenous peoples, Dali Llamma , pope and others . There is so much we can learn from others. I started with Victor Frankl.Mans search for Meaning. Please forgive my dysgraphia. PEACE AND LOVE. sincerely Teresa

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you for your comment Teresa and for sharing a little of your life experience. Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview explains all humans are born with an all-loving, cooperative instinctive self or soul which is the very sensitive, pure and true moral part of ourselves. In order to find knowledge we had to defy our cooperation-demanding instincts which resulted in us becoming psychologically upset or angry, egocentric and alienated from this all-knowing but not-understanding world of the soul. So our ‘upset’ state was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge, and the guilt and shame we have carried for departing from our all-loving instincts and becoming so destructive, so seemingly ‘bad’, is finally relieved. In essence, Jeremy’s work fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race; by resolving the conflict between our intellect and instinct it establishes that we are good and not bad after all, making possible our collective harmony — it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!

You can read Jeremy’s explanation of near death experiences in his definitive book FREEDOM, in paragraphs 997 and 1200. His explanation of the human condition makes clear how much deep fear we all live in of the whole subject of the human condition, and how utterly preoccupied we are in keeping away from it and proving our sense of self worth. So it makes total sense, and yes confirms the correctness of Jeremy’s explanation, that when people survive a near death experience, the mind, in that moment, gives up on denial and worrying in general and they experience the joy of what it is like to be free of the whole horror of the human condition, and the true world of our soul surfaces, and for the rest of that person’s life they will remember and be guided by that experience. With good wishes and look after yourself Teresa.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Hi Heidi, as is explained in THE Interview all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour, including extreme states of egocentricity and narcissism. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see our FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’.

Truly a very honest decisive/ concise brilliantly put together what had to have been the most calmly approach to travel back thru the ages of existence all the way to a point that’s been traveled oh how many times and well continue to be revisited as long as we humans exist, and piece this together with such accuracy and clarity it, to me has this touch of Divine nature to it! Absolutely the most amazing literary piece simply more than my vocabulary has the wires m words to express explain but I surely comprehended listening as each live Piece was interjected as he unfolded this masterpiece of an education unlike anything the world has ever learned! Beautiful heart warming and like one guy in the show said couldn’t have came at more greater time than the presence. Amen this needs to take the world by a storm

Doris Wolfewoods

This is a paradigm shift. It simply makes sense. Similar to being handled a very huge amount of money-- unbelievable but it is actually reasonable explanation

Doris Wolfewoods

It was hidden in plain sight. Getting people to accept this is the next thing.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

While this necessarily has a slow start, humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet, including teaching other people about this redeeming information, but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can (see FAQ 1.5)! As Jeremy Griffith explains in his book FREEDOM chapter 9:9: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once FIX THE WORLD is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’”

Would you consider that the 1st coming of Yeshua , with the message of love one another and commit thoughts to patience, kindness , gentleness etc are a message we need to internalize. Wherever and whoever included various consciences theories (Christian, gnostic, budda etc) in written forms were trying to teach us this. What psychosis caused “evil” to overtake human consciousness (ego?) with the desire to corrupt human free Will?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

While religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents.

In a nutshell, what is being explained is that when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric—the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

We suggest you listen to THE Interview again, and you will find it very quickly becomes clear.

Angel

Thank you heavenly Father for everything you do for me and may God bless you 🙏 I believe you’ll understand what I’m going through this time and you will always be with me forever and always ❤️ ty for more info on my soul understanding myself

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thanks very much Angel. For those new to this information, its important that we point out that, this understanding, and FIX THE WORLD which supports it, is the antithesis of a religious system. What is presented is an accountable scientific, first principle-based, rational, testable understanding of the human condition, which has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers around the world, see the Commendations on our homepage.

However, because the human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. For instance Jeremy Griffith explains that soul is really our all-loving, all-sensitive instinctive self, that we gained through the nurturing process of love-indoctrination in our species evolutionary past - see Freedom Essay 21.

Yes, Jeremy’s work represents a reconciliation of science and religion, see our FAQs on religion.

He is a great man

FIX THE WORLD Admin

As is explained in our FAQ 3.13, FIX THE WORLD focuses on Jeremy Griffith’s explanation, not the man. His work emphasises logic, not dogma, and proves the equal goodness of all people — there is no veneration, only appreciation.

Wanda Abell

I have always thought that the scientific explanation of the human condition would be argumentive ( is there a God who created man or was man created by atoms sticking together and eventually creating a human being ). After listening to this amazing podcast , I felt a great sense of relief. So much stress seemed to release the moment I started understanding what was presented in this interview. It is not an easy read though. But what is the purpose of God creating us. What is our purpose ?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you so much for your response Wanda. Yes, now that we can biologically explain the human condition, the role that religion, and the spiritual aspect of life, is also demystified; and it is revealed that not only are the universal ideals that religion has upheld for humanity confirmed, but we also now have the fully rational, compassionate and redeeming explanation for our divisive upset behaviour. You can read about the reconciliation of science and religion that this understanding brings about in FAQ 1.15.

In answering your question about our “purpose”, you will also find the answer to why it is not an “easy read”. As Jeremy explains, we have been a ‘God fearing’ species, but the redeeming explanation of the human condition changes all of that. As Jeremy explains in FAQ 6.2, “the theme or purpose or meaning of existence is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. There is, however, an immense problem admitting this truth of integrative meaning, and that is it unbearably confronts us with our divisive, seemingly disintegrative selfish, competitive and aggressive human condition. The fact is that for a larger whole to form and hold together (integrate) the parts of that whole must consider the welfare of the whole above their own welfare. Simply stated, selflessness is integrative while selfishness is divisive or disintegrative. But this implies that we selfish and competitive humans have been living in defiance of ‘Integrative Meaning’, living in a way that is out of step with creation! In fact, Integrative Meaning has been such a terrifyingly condemning truth that we divisively behaved humans couldn’t face it. And so, to avoid facing it, we deified the process of Integrative Meaning as ‘God’, thus making it something separate and superior to us, not connected to us in an earthly, practical way. So, ‘God’ is the personification of Integrative Meaning, a personification that was necessary while we selfish and competitive humans couldn’t explain why we were seemingly at odds with ‘God’! IT IS ONLY NOW that we have the redeeming explanation of humans’ divisively behaved human condition, that we can at last afford to demystify ‘God’ as Integrative Meaning. You can read more about how ‘God’ is our personification of Integrative Meaning in chapter 4:3 of FREEDOM.”

Edward

Thankyou for explaning the truth of the garden of Eden. Perhaps you could obtain the original old testament written language that use the correct interpretation and meaning.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Yes, we can now understand that the story of Adam and Eve and the tree of knowledge is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’.

Jeremy uses the NIV 1978 version of the Bible because he thinks that is the most accurate translation. In his 2003 book A Species In Denial Jeremy wrote that: “I trust the New International Version because of the effort made in it to be accurate and because of the relative soundness or innocence of those involved in the translation. The preface to the NIV translation says that the project began in 1965 (a very idealistic and sound period) with more than 100 scholars working ‘directly from the best available Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts’. These scholars came from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand ([as explained in chapter 8:16E of FREEDOM] these are all relatively young, uncorrupted, innocent, sound cultures ) and from Anglican, Presbyterian, Methodist and other denominations, none of which are regarded as particularly fundamentalist. … I might mention here, that within the various NIV editions of the Bible, I prefer the first edition over later ones. The 1960s, when work on the first edition commenced, was such an idealistic, innocent time. Subsequent decades were less idealistic and I think the revisions of the NIV Bible they made in those subsequent periods reflects this."

So we’ve figured out that we can save ourselves and how to?

FIX THE WORLD Admin

It does take a little time to fully absorb the significance of finally being able to understand the human condition. At last we can understand we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. This is what Jeremy’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world.

In the end, we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.

Jeremy Griffith is about as naive as Karl Marx was in 1848. THis is no solution to the “human condition.”

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s work is not a naive, idealistic plea for the world to just be cooperative, rather it is a first-principle biological explanation for why we haven’t been cooperative. It is only with the intellect defended for why it had to defy our ‘idealistic’ instincts and become ‘realistic’, that the cooperative world becomes possible, or even legitimate. What is so significant about this breakthrough is with our fundamental goodness established we can at last reconcile our instinct and intellect or idealism and realism. In fact, we can now see that while the critical search for knowledge was ongoing realism was actually more ideal than idealism (see FAQ 7.2).

Our FAQ 7.3 explains how Karl Marx decided to just change the world to a more idealistic one, rather than understanding why it wasn’t. He said that ‘The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is [not try to understand our nature but] to change it [just make it cooperative/social/communal]’; as Marx also wrote, ‘the alteration of men on a mass scale is necessary, an alteration which can only take place in a practical movement, a revolution’ (The German Ideology, 1845-1846).

I can just hope that the controling sick people on this planet can see and listen to this.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thanks Mark. We would just make the point that now we can understand the human condition, we can see that everyone has suffered from it. It is worth including highly respected psychiatrist Professor Prosen’s words: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/ psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin” (see FAQ 1.34 ‘How does this help with an individual’s depression and psychosis?’). So one of things Professor Prosen makes clear is that we all suffer from the human condition, not just those with wealth and power.

We also suggest FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Deborah

This is amazing; listening I feel we are so close to finally becoming free of what we call, “human nature,” too. I will have questions but I feel, finally we’ve found a handle to grab that may even allow for long lasting happiness to be possible in this life

This is absolutely the most informative. This is what needs to be incorporated into education. The conscious mind when looking inward consciencesly is something I have been practicing, I just know some of the proper information Im so grateful for your work and support for sharing true care and concern for humanity.

Human condition was when Eve and Adam ate the apple.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

As is explained in THE Interview, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans ‘fall’ or them becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’. However as Jeremy stresses, we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’. And with that redeeming answer to the human condition now found, our psychological upset (so called ‘sinful’ or ‘fallen’ state) can actually subside.
