Right on brother and as you know it is the deepest foundation of all our existence and was our initial personal positive reference which we unfortunately gave up with our unfortunate acceptance of low self-esteem.

Dr. Sakkie Potgieter

Fascinating! I am a retired Christian theologian, but I have listened to this interview more than once and have shared it with family and friends. As a firm believer that dogma, religion and mission have become dangerous and should be replaced by dialogue with all people of goodwill irrespective of faith, this provides an essential bridge to the world of science and reason. Thank you!

WTM Admin

Thank you so much Dr Potgieter. Yes, the study of humans’ capacity for so-called ‘good and evil’ is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained. As the Nobel prize-winning physicist Charles H. Townes recognised, science and religion “both represent man’s efforts to understand his universe and must ultimately be dealing with the same substance. As we understand more in each realm, the two must grow together…converge they must.” And this is what Jeremy Griffith’s work does. It reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to religion’s pre-scientific descriptions of our condition. If you haven’t seen them already, you might be interested in our FAQs about religion.

Dr. Robert Johnson

Save the world yes I’m in 🥰💯

John Nukueye

This is quite amazing. This is simply the confirmation that man is indeed the master of himself and the entire universe, remarkably reinforcing the unique differences between us ( man) and the lower primates. The conscious man is capable of any creativity , which can make the world a better place if positively appropriated. I am thoroughly overwhelmed by the exposition of this amazing human condition.

Savilla Thorne-Toner

This is beautiful, well said. Not without God, not without science but beautifully together as it is meant to be.

Maaka Tipa

The only aspect of this third section of the interview I felt lacking was the inclusion, or should I say lack of inclusion, of the male (father) aspect of bonobo? Culture. For any culture to be able to achieve such a nurturing and loving life’s system,...it must have the joint cooperation and agreement of both male and female aspects of that system. Many of the problems within our current 2024 dilemma, are due to the disintegration of the two parent family.

WTM Admin

Hi Maaka, thanks for your comment. Certainly it is very interesting looking at bonobo society because of the window it provides into our own distant past (we recommend our FAQ 5.2, which explains about the nurturing based bonobo society). However, for cooperation and reconciliation to occur between human men and women, which as you say is critically important, we needed to solve the human condition, find the explanation for why males in particular have been so angry and egocentric. Now we have understanding of our human-condition-psychosis, women are finally able to reason and see that what men have been doing on this planet has been actually the most meaningful and heroic job of all.     As molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald says in her commendation of Jeremy’s work: ‘because Griffith’s work establishes the equal worth or goodness of all humans we can now understand the different roles that men and women have traditionally played in the human journey and this is actually the unlocking point, this is what brings about deep empathy for each other, it heals the divide.’ You can watch/read this Video/Freedom Essay 9 titled This is the real liberation of women here.

Thanks Jacqueline. Please share THE Interview with as many people as you can (there is a share facility at the top and bottom of every page). We also recommend reading our How To Help page for many other ways of helping!

Darren Cheek

I was transformed by this profound and informative interview a couple of years back, near the beginning of the pandemic, and, almost instantly, it shifted the conditioned ideals of my own conflict between a seemingly innate and chronically perpetual shame for my own existence and a persistent, nagging sense of hope for a better future, and it gave me the confidence to believe in my own and everyone else’s innate potential for goodness and lovingkindness, and I resolved from then on to rid myself of the inherited guilt of turning away from instinct and invite others to do the same without actually consciously understanding that decision and it’s led me on a beautifully orchestrated journey of self-discovery and deeper understanding of the unlimited potential of the conscious mind. But today on the 14th of October in the year 2024, I decided to revisit The Interview and the contemplation of the implications of its message and I find it happening exactly at the time I needed to, in order to truly comprehend the subject matter and to use the updated comprehension to devote myself towards being a friendly and inviting voice for this message and to awaken my immediate community and beyond to the Truth I have been awakened to through my discovery of Jeremy Griffith and the WTM. Thank you so much for giving me a goal where I was beginning to feel lost and thank you for relieving me of my shame. I love you all that are involved and I hope to see and be a part of great change as we all heal from the human condition.

Mind blowing

Kevin Wilson

I’m only a few minutes into the second part of the video, and I am amazed at what it happening. For the past 20 years or so I have been researching the same subject matter but from the Biblical perspective. I have discovered that there are many teachings, such as SIN, and the evilness of mankind, that leave mankind into believing he is wicked. It is the battle of the mind of Man and his natural physical life versus the knowledge of God and the heart of GOD. This is a wonderful compliment to my studies. I would love to be a part of this somehow. Feel free to email me if there is anything I can help with.

WTM Admin

Thanks Kevin. Yes, the study of the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so now that we can biologically explain the human condition, the role of religion is able to be demystified – and it is revealed that not only are the universal ideals that religion upheld for humanity confirmed, but we also now have the fully rational, compassionate and redeeming explanation for our psychologically upset ‘sinful’, ‘wicked’, ‘evil’ behaviour. The only point we would make is that it is not religion that led humanity into thinking it was wicked, it was the criticism from our unavoidably dictatorial instincts. Without the scientific understanding of why we had to defy our instincts, our conscious mind was left insecure in the face of that criticism, and we have carried a great burden of guilt ever since – which religion honestly expresses. We recommend Jeremy’s presentation The Great Guilt, as well as our FAQs about religion.

Finally . . . A Common Sense Explanation about “Humanity”and “Life”that T-r-u-l-y SHOULD have been Made Known Early On. MANY are Very Aware of the LIE’S & WHY. So “Appreciate” TRUTH.

Rhoda

I enjoyed the entire video - mind blowing yet mind settling that we, humans, ARE basically good and loving. Thank you for freely sharing to enlighten all you can, hopefully in time to save the world we have ravished in our “turmoil” stage.

Very interesting ty

peter hagul

I would like to have the summary of the humman condition so that I could share with others.

WTM Admin

Good on you Peter, we greatly appreciate people sharing this precious understanding of ourselves! THE Interview, which is our ideal summary presentation, can be easily shared by sharing our homepage - HumanCondition.com - or using the SHARE button on our homepage. Also our FAQ 1.3 provides a brief outline of what is presented in THE Interview which also easily shared using the share button.

Very good explanation

Neil

I know this ,it is in the Tanakh,we are created in the image of God ,we have not inherited a fallen nature but we live in a fallen world which affects our life ,if we could live in a good social environment life would be fine as some people groups have ,so knowledge alone will not heal us but you need to form communities and it will expand

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith acknowledges religions contain all manner of truths about human life, however it is all from a pre-scientific view. Such teachings contain references to the truth of our upset psychological state, and the search to find the reason for it, which has been humanity’s great search, to solve the human condition and return to being able to live harmoniously with each other. In particular, in THE Interview Jeremy makes the point that from ancient times many thinkers have identified the elements of instinct and intellect involved in creating the human condition, however the great breakthrough science can now provide is the clarifying explanation of the nature of the conflict between them. Understanding that the gene-based learning system can orientate a species, but that the nerve-based learning system is insightful, allows us to understand that the conscious mind was right to defy our instinctive self to search for understanding which produces our psychologically upset condition. Without that explanation the conflict could not be resolved. That is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

Bruce Bethley

...the world is in need of a cure, but, wait ,what about salvation?

WTM Admin

We suggest that the more you digest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, the more you will realise just how accountable and explanatory it is in getting to the source of all humanity’s psychological upset and trauma and therefore does provide the universal solution to and salvation from our ‘good and evil’ stricken human condition. Of incredible significance because, paradoxically, it was only through the defence of our conscious mind’s ‘upset’ behaviour that we could ever return to the loving state of our instincts; having found the good reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our destructive behaviours (essentially our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are made redundant. We recommend re-watching the presentation, especially Part 4, where Jeremy Griffith discusses just how liberating this knowledge is: “being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all…at last we can…reconcile and heal our split selves.” Also FAQ 1.5 explains why understanding the human condition is important to our lives. In terms of the religious use of the word ‘salvation’ the human condition is the study of humans capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’. It is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is also explained. This represents a reconciliation of science and religion, see FAQ 1.15.

WOW

Shakya

Human condition: what are the area you are concentrating, poverty, social, cultural, race , community, health, security, capitalism, communism, politcal Instability, spirituality, religion, psychology, etc,?

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Shakya. To quote Jeremy Griffith from FAQ 1.1 ‘What exactly is the human condition’: "It is not uncommon for people to think that the term ‘human condition’ refers to the state of poverty and inequality and other practical hardships and imperfections in human life, but such problems are only superficial manifestations and aspects of the human condition. Much less superficial interpretations of what the term human condition means are that it refers to ‘the riddle of why we humans are competitive and selfish not cooperative and loving’, and ‘the issue of good and evil in our make-up’, and even, ‘the issue of why we are the way we are’. However, the human condition is actually a much, much deeper issue than even these last interpretations. As I explained in THE Interview and in all my other presentations, we humans once lived in a nurtured-with-unconditional-love, cooperative, selfless and loving innocent state, which the bonobo species of ape is presently on the threshold of achieving (see FAQ 5.2 for the explanation of how we humans acquired our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience). If we stand back and think about this original cooperative, selfless and loving state and then think about how competitive, selfish and aggressive we humans are now, the contrast between the two states couldn’t be greater. And if we think about that extreme contrast and then think about the situation we have been stuck in for some 2 million years where we haven’t been able to explain our so-called ‘fall from grace’, the corruption of our original all-sensitive and all-loving, innocent instinctive self or soul, then how deeply traumatised with guilt and shame must we humans have been all that time! Certainly, we learnt to block the horror of this situation out of our mind, but that has been the underlying psychological predicament we humans have been enduring. So having had to live with this insufferable, unbearably depressing guilt and shame for having destroyed the magic world of our soul is what the human condition really is!” Most wonderfully, now we have the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing biological understanding of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition—it ends all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source, and provides the now urgently needed road map for the complete rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world, see our Transformation page and FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition is important to my life?’

Pauly C

interesting easy to follow scientific speak while intense and interesting mostly believable with great backup

WTM Admin

Hi Pauly, it is great to have your interest! What is being introduced is a new scientific paradigm, based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition, so it does take a little time to consider all that is presented. To help with this consideration, as you say great backup is provided throughout THE Interview, in the form of references and links to where aspects of the explanation are discussed in more detail. You may also find the commendations from eminient scientists and thought leaders Jeremy’s work has received, here on our homepage, helpful to read.

Maira wall

I surely think this is going to transform my life and thinking in a POSITIVE way. I “love” Jeremy Griffith to put his book to the knowledge of everyone. Rich and poor. Now every thing is money. God bless you and he will give you your reward. Thanks

WTM Admin

Yes Maira, so that everyone can access this totally transforming and world-saving knowledge the WTM has made all Jeremy Griffith’s publications completely free on their HumanCondition.com website! People can also subscribe to our free mailing list and also join our Facebook Group to learn more about this amazing, human-condition-resolved new world.

stella iortim

The explanation of Jeremy Griffith has shaken me. I think this is revolutionary and exciting to know that at last science has proved man is created to be like his maker God. He has proved all our actions are generated by conscious thoughts.

WTM Admin

Yes Stella, given this critical new science introduces a huge paradigm shift in how we view ourselves and our world it does shake up or revolutionise our thinking which is exciting! Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition doesn’t contradict a belief in God it simply brings biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. So although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life. This is mentioned in THE Interview and the audience is referred to chapter 4 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM titled ‘The Meaning of Life’ which is summarised in FAQ 6.2 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’?’. Jeremy’s work also explains that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and that our destructive actions or behaviour is caused by a psychosis that has been compounding ever since our conscious mind wrested control from our instincts some 2 million years ago. This is also immensely exciting as significantly a psychosis can be healed through understanding, so our psychologically upset state is fixable or changeable—not unchangeable, which is what it would essentially be if our competitive and aggressive behaviour was instinctive; if it was something that is in our genes and we were born with.

Mohamed Rogers

The solution I have been looking for, to longevity

WTM Admin

Absolutely Mohamed, solving the human condition deals with the underlying issue in all the distress and disintegration in our own lives and the life of our species! As our FAQ 1.6 about how understanding the human condition solves everything explains “in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race.”

Jason Nielsen

I agree with everything you lay out about the human condition and our instincts but the problem I have is with the idea that just having this knowledge will somehow fix the World and the problems we face daily. I have this understanding, and even agree with it, as well as all the others making comments here about the subject....but the reality is that none of you including myself and even Griffiths himself since learning this human condition within ourselves have suddenly given up our wealth we acquire, the profession we personally pursue, or changed our ways in our daily lives since learning this have we? So nothing is fixed by knowing this human condition we are driven by...even if every human watched and learned this information on the planet the entire race wouldn’t simply start changing ourselves and what we do to transform or change anything....has anyone reading this comment given up you’re wealth, or radically transformed you’re life based on this new revelation? I don’t want to oppose you’re ideas here in anyway as I support them, but I am a realist that realizes this doesn’t change anything just knowing this about ourselves....unless the entire human race fundementally changes together at once and give up our wealth, possessions, and selfish personal tendencies this human condition explanation only delays us from making actual tangible changes by giving us a false idea that everything will be fixed if we all know this information somehow. I’m sorry I have to say it, but nothing has been fixed, it has continued to deteriorate and we get worse as time goes by still even thought this explanation is out there....it provides a false hope we will save ourselves and distracts us from the tangible changes we need to fight for and need too get done everyday in baby steps

WTM Admin

Hi Jason, thank you for your further comment expressing your views. As we stressed in our previous reply it does take time to fully absorb the significance of finally being able to understand the human condition and how our behaviour will naturally change as a result, so we do counsel patience. We suggest as you do digest this, what you will realise is that being able to understand that we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness means that with our goodness now biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page. It includes affirmations from many people about how this explanation has changed their lives and supporting the dissemination of this new science has become the priority for them rather than trying to prove their worth through being preoccupied by winning power, fame, fortune and glory. So this is not false hope as people are transforming dramatically from being driven by selfishness to being driven by selflessness. As is stressed on our website (see FAQ 4.5) the focus in leaving our attachment to the old embattled, insecure ways of validating ourselves isn’t on giving up our possessions or walking the streets in sackcloth in self-denial and servitude. We’re talking about a change of mindset that can have an effect on our priorities, which can affect our choice of possessions and so forth, but the focus isn’t on self-deprivation. Of course we have to practically keep living in the world as it is to be able to bring about this new potential. People can’t hope to support anything unless they have a self-sufficient and stable base from which to participate, which means people realise the first thing they need to do is cover their financial and personal base in a healthy and functional way and then look at how to best help from there.     In terms of Jeremy Griffith, as his biography and our website illustrates, his life has always been selflessly dedicated to understanding the human condition and stopping human suffering which is further evidenced by him making all his publications completely free. Also the World Transformation Movement is a global not-for-profit organisation who works tirelessly to promote this explanation of the human condition to ensure its now desperately needed psychologically liberating and transforming effects reach every human.     Further, as we suggested previously, our FAQ 1.40 answers the questions ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. It is explained and illustrated there even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level.     As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it may take some time for people to realise that this is what it says it is but as the support and momentum continues to build the infectious enthusiasm and selfless love it liberates will spread like wildfire. As Jeremy writes in chapter 9:9 of FREEDOM titled ‘How the Transformed Lifeforce Way of Living will quickly repair the world’, “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire—as the exceptional denial-free thinking prophet Teilhard de Chardin wrote, ‘The Truth has to only appear once…for it to be impossible for anything ever to prevent it from spreading universally and setting everything ablaze.'” And as WTM founding member Tony Gowing says in Video/Freedom Essay 5, “Humans are thinking, rational beings so when all the logic points in one direction then there is really no choice but for every single human to take that path, and eventually they will. It will be slow for a start because humans hate and resist change, but nonetheless change does happen when an idea’s time has come.” So even though this project has a slow start humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet and fix the world but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can! And so even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as people can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview, the outstanding commendations from eminent scientists and thinkers for Jeremy’s treatise and our 80 WTM Centres all over the world — all on our homepage!!

About time, fantastic

Anne

doesn’t our consciousness originate in the Bible with Adam and Eve , and the tree of Knowledge ? God told Adam to not eat of the tree and he did anyway along with his wife...This is the burden we have inherited...

WTM Admin

We certainly respect people’s religious views however we felt it was important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict the Bible. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. For example, we suggest that we can now undertand that the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden taking the fruit from the tree of knowledge is a metaphor for the emergence of consciousness in the presence of our loving, but dictatorial, instincts. The real issue is if people prefer a more literal fundamentalist interpretation of scripture rather than our more biological, science-based interpretation. For those interested in exploring this further we suggest our FAQs on religion. Part 3 of THE Interview explains how consciousness developed as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process – see also FAQ 5.4 ‘How did consciousness emerge in humans?’

hanan

Great interview, very informative and well presented, it touched my thinking and feelings

Dinu

Let the truth be revealed to the world, love to know the truth. Thank you.

Anne

I have never been competitive in my entire life...I have a humanity based personality ..and love nature and animals..

WTM Admin

We suggest the more you digest this presentation, the more you realise just how ubiquitous the human condition is; an insecurity about our self worth is behind all our behaviour and everyone suffers from it. However, what is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise is that it logically and accountably defends human selfishness and egocentricity. And it is only with that defence of our ‘dark side’ that we can truly legitimately reconcile ourselves with “nature and animals” – 'legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it.

Jill Shoemaker

Very interesting felt a darkness since end of 1990s, especially. This gives me light at the end of the tunnel. I want to hear & absorb more.

WTM Admin

Thanks Jill – it is certainly the 11th hour, but as Jeremy Griffith explains, once this takes off, this information will turn things around almost overnight. We recommend Jeremy’s Freedom Essays about ‘Do we fail or do we make it?’ (see F. Essays 55—58). These present a fearlessly honest analysis of the state of the world followed by how the extraordinary transforming power of this information can save the world.

derek hough

There is nothing wrong with the human condition BUT there is a section of humanity that doesn’t want the world they way it is and they are covertly trying (and succeeding) to change it to their advantage -- to a state that is inimical to most people’s interest. They caused both world wars and have disarmed most of the world population and keep causing wars and strife large and small to bring about a state they prefer. They operate in secret and can’t be criticized -- and anyone doing the latter will be immediately stigmatized

WTM Admin

We suggest the more you absorb what is presented in THE Interview the more you will realise that all humans suffer from a universal psychosis, caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. Certainly this manifests in a multitude of different ways, but that is to be expected because everyone has had a different exposure to the human condition, whether it is through how they were nurtured, or their exposure to upset in the world as a whole, but the macro truth is that we are all insecure about our self-worth, and at its source, the cause of this is the instinct vs intellect clash. Which means that those with power, and all our institutions, including our governments and media, are just manifestation of what we all suffer from – our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition, addressing the source of our selfish psychological upset, could we achieve real and lasting change and stop the destruction of our world that is happening everywhere we look. We recommend our FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power?’

I’m open to anything that will improve my perception of existence

WTM Admin

What is explained is that we have all (necessarily) been living in denial of our corrupted condition. With the dark side of our nature truthfully explained and defended we can at last have a true “perception of existence”. What’s more, we can begin to heal ourselves and our planet bringing about a new, transformed world, free of suffering.

Greg Hutco

No doubt he believes his own analysis. No book will fix the problem people in the world ie Putin, and that dodo in North Korea and Trump in the US

WTM Admin

THE Interview explains all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces psychopathic behaviour. Importantly, this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit (what historically has been termed ‘evil’) rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it. We suggest FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? / Won’t the greedy and power hungry simply ignore this?’     Regarding Trump, in his book FREEDOM, Jeremy explains the twin political problems we have are the brutality of the right-wing’s need to continue the corrupting search for knowledge free from too much condemning idealism, and the left-wing’s dishonest and deluded dogmatic imposition of pseudo-idealistic politically correct values. However, as THE Interview explains, freedom of thought and individualism, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism which right-wing constitutions uphold, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge, ultimately for self-knowledge. And so paradoxically it was the right-wing that actually held the moral high ground and the left-wing that posed the real threat to humanity due to the fact that its dogmatically imposed pseudo-idealism gravely endangers freedom of thought and the search for understanding. Now the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition has at last been solved we can understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wings of politics and bring the whole necessary but ugly business of politics to an end (see our FAQs about politics).

This needs to be heard by scientists, and all. I feel better for just watching this interview, like a veil has been lifted.

WTM Admin

Thank you, Rhonda, it is so good to learn of your enthusiasm for our work! Your comment brings to mind a Commendation Professor Karen Riley made about Jeremy’s breakthrough explanation, that “it feels like a veil has been lifted, at least for me. Life went from feeling bewildering and confusing to something that was clearly transparent — it’s immeasurably exhilarating, redeeming, empowering and transforming.” At the top of our homepage — HumanCondition.com — it states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview above?’ and guides you through the steps to pursue your interest! This includes subscribing for our free, weekly ‘Freedom Essay’ emails, and joining our popular Facebook Group, where there is much profound and exciting discussion happening.

Messaoudi

Demarche intelligente et perspicace. Cette science d’expliquer biologiquement la condition humaine est pour moi comme la lumiere qu’on appercois au bout du tunnel. (An intelligent and insightful approach. This science of biologically explaining the human condition is for me like the light at the end of the tunnel. [tr. from French])

WTM Admin

That’s a wonderful response, Messaoudi, and very much appreciated! We wanted to let you know that five of Jeremy Griffith’s books, including THE Interview and his main book FREEDOM, along with some of the Main Videos/Freedom Essays are available in French. They are all free on the Translations page of our website. We also have a WTM Centre in Nice that you can contact if you are keen to speak with other French-speaking supporters of this breakthrough understanding of the human condition.

Matthew

Thank you it’s nice to finally see selflessness be exercised freely.

WTM Admin

Yes, Matthew, ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here. And with our dark side truthfully explained and defended we can finally legitimately return to a truly selfless existence, and bring about a rehabilitated world, free of suffering.

Very interesting!!!

Joe

That’s the greatest interview ever. I would like to thank Jeremy Griffith to provide such an incredible human understanding.

Daniel Mclellan

I’m fortunate enough that my parallel thinking has just been acknowledged by Jeremy . Now I really know that I’m on the right track 😊❤️

WTM Admin

Thanks Daniel that is great that your thinking has been confirmed. However we would just say that while people have realised that something is deeply amiss with humanity, and some thinkers even identified the elements of instinct and intellect in creating our psychologically upset state (see Freedom Essay 4), actually solving the human condition required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work and that is the great biological breakthrough biologist Jeremy Griffith presents here.

Have not watched all but is good.

Milan Ray Morrell

So many people are on the brink of losing hope and faith. I am one of them, I just feel so lost with myself and my life right now. I don’t think anything is going to help humanity, I am praying that this does!

WTM Admin

Yes, it is true Milan, we are living in a time of great confusion, despair and darkness, but please take heart, because the solution is here. As you can see from the daily ecstatic responses on our homepage, more and more people everywhere are so relieved and excited to finally be able to make sense of human life! As Part 4 of THE Interview explains, while it will take generations for the upset within us and humanity as a whole to be completely healed, importantly we CAN be immediately free of its damaging effects; we recommend reading FAQs 1.4 - 1.6. Also our FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world?’

We just need peace ✌️

WTM Admin

In order to fundamentally bring peace to the human condition we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. This is what allows genuine reconciliation between the our moral, altruistic instincts, and our psychologically upset intellect. Through explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, bringing true peace to our condition.

Matthew Gorda

Impressive and shocking.

Paul Schock

I sympathize with those looking for answers to the human condition. But please check the “science ” behind these theories. True science leads ever more away from Darwin’s theory of evolution. For starters, check out Stephen Meyers' book, “Darwin’s Doubt ” Darwin himself recognized that there are major problems in the fossil record to support his theories. He assumed that the problem was inadequate knowledge of the record, and that further research would support his theories. He was absolutely wrong. Check out the cambrian explosion. There are other answers to the human condition.

WTM Admin

What is being put forward is a biological explanation for our human condition that is based on the fact of human evolution and so we disagree that a supernatural entity (‘Intelligent Design’, of which Stephen Meyer is a leading proponent) was involved. With regard to the ‘sudden’ appearence of a multitude of fossils at the beginning of the Cambrian period (they actually appeared over a few million years), the rational explanation is that pre-Cambrian organism’s did not have hard exoskeletons to form fossils, however at the beginning of the Cambrian period, while the exact causes are still debated, it appears that an increase in oxygen in the atmosphere along with massive amounts of nutrients that had eroded from continental rocks on land and were washed into the oceans, provided the raw materials for organisms to develop exoskeletons, which sparked a rapid period of evolution that was able to be preserved in the fossil record.     It is worth considering that with the human condition solved, a lot of things can be demystified and explained properly, and that does include ‘evolution’. We can now understand and admit that ‘development’ is a more accurate word than ‘evolution’, for while evolution implies that organisms do change or evolve it avoids acknowledging that there is a direction and purpose to that change, which is to develop the order of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. Until we could defend our apparently divisive human condition, we have not been able to admit to this Integrative Meaning of existence, and so mechanistic science in particular has not been able to admit that evolution is a ‘developmental’ process not a random one. You can read more about this in Freedom Essay 25 ‘The truthful biology: the real story of the development of life, including humans’. Similarly, we can finally understand that ‘God’ is our deification of the underlying theme of all existence of the integration of matter. You can read more about this topic in FAQ 6.2.

Question: Who determines the characteristics of our genes

WTM Admin

Thanks for your question Sakiusa. With the human condition now explained and our angry, egocentric and selfish behaviour defended, it is finally ‘safe’ to admit that our instinctive heritage – our genes – are completely loving and cooperative. Certainly we inherit superficial variations depending on our parents and ‘racial’ heritage, but that is insignificant next to our overwhelming instinctive make-up established over millions of years, which is to be loving and cooperative. You might be interested in FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?’ which explains the origins of our loving instincts.

Zaini Ariff

My race is Humanity

WTM Admin

Hi Zaini, for us all to be one humanity we have to solve the question of why are we so divided and conflicted. As THE Interview explains, the only way we could legitimately return to our original harmonious state of togetherness was by answering the essential question of why, when the ideals of life are to be cooperative, loving and selfless, are we so competitive, unloving and selfish?! This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as being able to unite and save the world. Having this core mystery and problem of our behaviour solved ends all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source and unites the human race. It couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!     You may find WTM Freedom Essay 29 ‘Can human conflict ever be brought to an end?’ of interest. To quote: “It takes time to absorb the full ramifications of Jeremy’s explanation, but the more you digest it, the more you realise that this psychologically ‘upset’ state is behind all the conflict and suffering on the planet. And since the human condition is essentially a psychosis, the other wonderful realisation is that it can be permanently healed through understanding. This is why Professor Harry Prosen, former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, has written: “What this book of books, in fact this greatest of all books, does is take humanity from a state of bewilderment about the nature of human behavior and existence to a state of profound understanding of our lives—understanding that drains away all the pain, suffering, confusion and conflict from the world. This is the book we have been waiting for, it is THE BOOK THAT SAVES THE WORLD!” And why Dr Scott Churchill, Professor and former Chair of the University of Dallas Psychology Department, has written: “Nothing Dr. Prosen has said about the immense importance of this book is an exaggeration.”

Absolute nonsense and rubbish

Mathai K.O

It is really amazing insights into the evolution of the current human condition why humans behave in such ways creating perpetuating the misseries strife, struggle, self domination on the other, self centered, hatred, destructive mindsets leading to dangerous situation of jeopardizing the peaceful coexistence.

Alison

Jeremy has explained in western terms what the Buddha discovered 2,500 years ago through his own journey into suffering, the root of suffering and the way out of suffering. Wonderful to have the convergence of two deep thinkers arriving at the same conclusion.

WTM Admin

Thank you so much for your thoughts Alison. While Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for “the root of suffering and the way out of suffering”. We needed to explain why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work.

Joseph

Thank you so very much for the interview. It’s actually mind blowing.

David Dodds

I have had this book for some time now, it is indeed a book everyone should read. However, how do you get those hell bent on war and destruction, and those filled with religious beliefs to read it?

WTM Admin

We greatly appreciate your interest David. It does take to digest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, but the more one does they realise how accountable it is in getting to the source of all humanity’s psychological upset, which in the extreme, produces horrific war and destruction. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, rather through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’ and also Freedom Essay 29 ‘Can human conflict ever be bought to an end’. Also FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ So we encourage you to explore these links.     In terms of those with religious beliefs being able to access this critical new science we suggest FAQ 6.3 titled ‘Aren’t all Griffith’s demystifications of religious teachings going to be seen by supporters of religion as blasphemy? / Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God? / How does this affect my personal religious practice? / How can you reconcile the explanation of the human condition that defends the upset state with religious teachings that condemn upset?’. In short the great founding prophets of religion actually looked forward to the arrival of the reconciling understanding of the human condition—which means supporters of religion shouldn’t see Jeremy’s scientific demystification of religious teachings as blasphemy, but as religious fulfillment! Also our FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology, why the religious references’ is about how this reconciles science and religion and is also relevant to your question.
