Thank you thank you thankyou. This has been one of the few game changers for me that I have come across on my debilitating mental health for the last 2 years. I feel it may be final the piece of the pie of understanding life and my struggles for me to have the cognitive understand of my sickness and the mental health challenges globally that have so long put me off wanting to live and thrive. Thank you!
WTM Admin
It certainly can be overwhelming trying to deal with the human-condition-afflicted suffering in ourselves and the world Rose, but as you say, if we can understand why it all happened then we can cope and thrive again. What is so significant about Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves with great compassion and kindness and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us (as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises).

This was so interesting, really makes so much sense. So many times in my life have i wondered why people were so hateful, deviant and cruel. This explained it so well. Now I hope this message spreads like wild fire just in time to turn this ugliness around. We are in dark days now.

Not convinced so far. We share heredity genes of 97% with chimpanzee and selfishness, greed, aggressiveness etc prevail in both species. Evenso chimpanzees can also show attractive compassionate straits on occassion, as elephants can noticeably show sadness on loss of offspring etc etc. It does appear to me overcoming our genetic inheritance of selfishness, aggression, greed, difficulty in helping others outside our group and so on, comes from this animal evolutionary past. The good biologist does appear to miss interprete the streaks of attractive compassionate behaviour many other animal species have. Evolution obviously passes on some attractive genes. What on earth is this comment about The Fall all about ?
WTM Admin
Jeremy Griffith discusses in THE Interview and in more detail FREEDOM (ch. 5) that the cooperative and gentle of the bonobo chimpanzee represent a far better model of our human ancestors than the common chimpanzee. Both share approximately 99% of their DNA with humans, however bonobo physiology, bipedality, environment, intelligence and reduced canine size, better match our human ancestors. Reduced canine size is particularly relevant as it is arguably the outstanding features of the hominin clade, and universally accepted as an indication of reduced aggression. Fossil evidence of our cooperative past, including reduced canines, has lead the prominent anthropologist C. Owen Lovejoy to write that “our species-defining cooperative mutualism can now be seen to extend well beyond the deepest Pliocene [well beyond 5.3 mya]”. No, our selfishness and aggression is not instinctive in origin; all the evidence shows that our instinctive heritage is cooperate.
Even though other animals display various levels of socialness they are driven by gene-based natural selection and the essential fact or rule of natural selection is that genes are unavoidably selfish, so there is a fundamental limit to the amount of selfless, loving behaviour they can develop. One brilliant aspect of biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work is his explanation of how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process, which produced our genuinely all-loving, altruistic instincts. FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we acquire our moral soul’ summarises this explanation, using the example of the extraordinarily cooperative bonobos, who have developed this ‘love-indoctrination’ process to a lesser degree.
‘The fall’ is the religious term that describes our species transition from a cooperative instinctive state into a competitive conscious state. How and why this occurred is the core question before our species. We needed a scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. This is what Jeremy Griffith has answered with explanation of how the ‘instinct vs intellect’ conflict caused us to be come psycholologically upset sufferers of the human condition, and why his work has received praise from eminent scientists and thought leaders around the world (see their commendations on our homepage).

There are certainly thinkers who have touched on aspects of the human condition but for the destructive affects of the human condition to end we needed to answer the essential question of why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? It is this core question of the human condition that biologist Jeremy Griffith has answered with his instinct vs intellect explanation and what is so significant about his work. It deals with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and brings relieving understanding to it, see FAQ 6.5 Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?

Mindfulness 🤫
WTM Admin
Mindfulness is a useful therapy but this is not about such practices. There have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere. The reason is because they don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. See FAQ 6.5 Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?

On one hand the description of the bonobos it is also true that unlike their Chimpanzee kin the females hunt and are far more gruesome to their prey and enemies - so one could also say they are more voilant from another percpective
WTM Admin
While there are remnants of selfish reciprocity, sexual opportunism and aggression in bonobo behaviour, as indicated in THE Interview they are extraordinarily nurturing, and extraordinarily gentle and cooperative. Bonobos’ engagement in opportunistic hunting is discussed in Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM, ch. 2:11 ‘Multilevel Selection theory for eusociality’. To quote “While bonobos have been known to capture and eat small game, including small monkeys, to supplement their diet with protein, they are not known to routinely hunt down and eat large animals such as colobus monkeys, like chimpanzees do, with ‘hunting behavior [by bonobos] very rare’ (Tetsuya Sakamaki...). [E.O.] Wilson relies upon a 2008 report by [Gottfried] Hohmann titled ‘Primate hunting by bonobos at LuiKotale, Salonga National Park’ to draw these erroneous comparisons with the more aggressive chimpanzees—but Hohmann’s report actually reveals extraordinary differences between bonobos and chimpanzees...”
We are proposing that without understanding of the human condition, humans have found the cooperative and gentle nature of bonobos (and our cooperative heritage depicted in myths) highly confronting of our own upset state (dealt with at length in FREEDOMchs. 5 & 6) and instead want to use chimpanzee’s aggressive nature as a model for human behaviour (which supports the false ‘savage instincts’ excuse addressed in this interview). This quote from primatologist Frans de Waal, who refers to the bonobos as ‘the forgotten ape’, supports this (see ch. 6:6): “Two strategies have emerged to keep bonobos at a distance so as to preserve chimpanzee-based scenarios of human evolution, which traditionally emphasize warfare, hunting, tool use, and male dominance. The first strategy is to describe the bonobo as an interesting but specialized anomaly that can be safely ignored as a possible model of the last common ancestor... The second strategy, adopted by [Craig] Stanford, is to minimize the differences between the two Pan species: if bonobos behave, by and large, like chimpanzees, there is no reason to question the latter species’ prominence as a model”.

I just ordered the book, have been listening to any / every interview with Jeremy Griffith. My life story can relate to all the conflict/ confusion. My question is: Now that science had diagnosed the human dilemma / condition, what’s the solution? Thank you!!
WTM Admin
It is wonderful to hear of your enthusiasm for Jeremy’s work Steven and thank you for your question as even though the fundamental explanation is very simple, there is much to absorb about this new paradigm of thinking. The solution is finally having the psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real explanation of the human condition and the legitimate return to a selfless way of living that brings about.
To clarify, all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans. We are the ones who are egocentric, selfish, greedy, materialistic, fake, angry as hell. And so it’s that underlying issue—our ‘good and evil’ stricken human condition—that has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems and that is exactly what Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition does (see FAQs 1.4—1.6). And, as THE Interview explains, this will solve problems very quickly because instead of us being preoccupied with proving ourselves artificially (through seeking power, fame, fortune and glory) all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world. So, in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race (see our Transformation page).

How can science explain the complex human with an individual mind
WTM Admin
Yes, everyone is a unique individual, and the mind is incredibly complex, but with Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition, we can now understand that all humans, even though they manifest it in a million different ways, suffer from a fundamental insecurity over their self-worth caused by the clash between our instincts and intellect. It is this core issue that Jeremy addresses and solves, and is why this redeems, reconciles and rehabilitates everyone.

“Bonobos are merciless,” says Gottfried Hohmann, a behavioural ecologist at Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. He witnessed several monkey hunts among bonobos living in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and says, “they catch it and start eating it. They don’t bother to kill it”.
WTM Admin

Bonobos’ engagement in opportunistic hunting is discussed in Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM, ch. 2:11 ‘Multilevel Selection theory for eusociality’, with specific reference to Gottfried Hohmann’s 2008 report. [E.O.] Wilson relies upon a 2008 report by [Gottfried] Hohmann titled ‘Primate hunting by bonobos at LuiKotale, Salonga National Park’ [the quote you refer to is based on] to draw these erroneous comparisons with the more aggressive chimpanzees—but Hohmann’s report actually reveals extraordinary differences between bonobos and chimpanzees...”

Sarah Desmond
As a former sexual assault counsellor, who counselled people who had survived and witnessed horrific violence against themselves and others - including murder of children - infants - it’s very hard for me to consider any grand explanation that does not account for actual evil behaviour and the toxic suffering it promulgates. This includes the fact that powerful people protect each other and actively pursue this activity. How do you explain this?
WTM Admin
Thank you very much for your consideration Sarah. Yes, some of humanity’s acts are so terrible that it is tempting to think they have to be the result of some inexplicable ‘evil’, but we suggest that when you appreciate just how psychologically ‘upset’ humans now are after 2 million years of unjust condemnation from our instincts, how ‘murderous-with-rage’ we actually are, you will appreciate that being psychologically upset does account for the horrendous attrocities humans can commit (what we’ve historically termed ‘evil’). As the Australian author Morris West so bravely acknowledged in his memoir, A View from the Ridge, the wrong circumstances are enough to make any of us act terribly: “brutalise a child and you create a casualty or a criminal. Bribe a servant of the state and you will soon hear the deathwatch beetles chewing away at the rooftrees of society. The disease of evil [now able to be understood as upset] is pandemic; it spares no individual, no society, because all are predisposed to it. It is this predisposition which is the root of the mystery [of ‘evil’ that is now explained]. I cannot blame a Satan, a Lucifer, a Mephistopheles, for the evils I have committed, the consequences of which have infected other people’s lives. I know, as certainly as I know anything, that the roots are in myself, buried deeper than I care to delve, in caverns so dark that I fear to explore them. I know that, given the circumstances and the provocation, I could commit any crime in the calendar”
Yes, as is explained in FAQ 1.38 “we can now see why our species has not just been ego-centric, but ego-infuriated, even ego-gone-mad-with-murderous-rage for having to live with so much unjust criticism/guilt, for some 2 million years. At long last we have the reason for humans’ capacity for shocking acts of cruelty, sadism, hate, murder and warfare—we now know the source of the dark volcanic forces in us humans.” Importantly, as this FAQ explains, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction the horrific violence humans can commit, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it.
Rhiana, Filipino from New Mexico,USA
Dr.Grifith explaination is so much alike with Sadhguro (India)...They both have fully understand the power of conciously living daily.
Great work Dr.Grifith🙏
WTM Admin
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement Rhiana however we wanted to clarify there is a huge distinction between biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work and that of Indian guru Sadhguru. His understanding of the power of consciously living is from teaching transcendence of our anger, alienation and selfish egocentricity, whereas Jeremy’s focus is to resolve it at its source and that is the great breakthrough his work presents. There have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming and restraining our psychologically upset human condition, which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere—and the reason is because they don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and biologically establish our fundamental goodness as a species. You can read more about the difference between Jeremy’s work and new age, pseudo idealistic movements in FAQ 6.5.

We need to re-educate the assumptive bigotry and division that divides us.
WTM Admin
Explanation of the human condition does take time to digest but as THE Interview explains the only way we can address human divisiveness and prejudice is to address and solve its source which is what Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition finally does. It allows us to understand why bigotry in all its forms has existed under the duress of the human condition and, most importantly, finally brings it to an end. For example, the desperately needed reconciling understanding of the relationship between races is explained in Freedom Essay 28; and for a testimonial on the power of this information to end racism, we recommend watching/reading the presentation from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Interestingly, this is not too dissimilar from the teachings of Christ.
WTM Admin
While Christianity and other religions do contain all manner of extraordinarily profound truth about human life, it is from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. What Jeremy is putting forward is that for there to be a fundamental change in our human situation we had to understand the human condition – humans’ capacity for good and evil – from a biological perspective. You might find our FAQs about religion helpful. Also Jeremy’s Freedom Essays 38 – 41, which decipher religion, are absolutely fascinating.

Humans to survive have adapted to the insanity we have created. Those who have profited and are in a position of power will use their available resources

As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However once this information gets a foothold through enough people developing a deep appreciation and desire to support it, the selfless love and energy that will generate will solve our problems very quickly because instead of being preoccupied with power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world. Jeremy Griffith elaborates on this need for power, control and domination in Freedom Essay 62 where he gives a full presentation of the entire human journey and how understanding of the human condition now makes possible the real therapy and rehabilitation of the human race.
Britton Guy
There needs to be a second more important book on how to implement the transition to our better selves.
WTM Admin
Even though THE Interview is only a summary presentation, Part 4 does address this and explains that for the upset within us to be completely healed it will take generations but importantly we can be immediately free of its effects (also see FAQ 4.1). This is further explained on our Transformation page and also comprehensively answered in Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOMchapter 9.
You are right to stress this point though Guy, as our universal upset is now so great that virtually all humans will now need some form of therapy. Jeremy is actually currently writing two new Freedom Essays about the genuinely effective therapy and healing that understanding of the human condition now makes possible. These are Essays 63: ‘Pseudo Therapy/Healing’ and 64: ‘Real Therapy/Healing’. Essay 63 will explain there are many approaches that seek to heal and therapise human psychoses but they are all coming from an extremely dishonest and superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angle and Essay 64 will present the human-condition-confronting, honest, true, genuinely effective therapy/healing that understanding of the human condition now makes possible.

It all comes across as a bit juvenile. Very superficial and misses the mark. This sort of concept could never propel a civilisation for 2000 years in the way Christianity has.

Appreciated Jeremy Griffith for educational exploration of human beings in generalities to the globe.I love the WORD said by YOU that humans are created to be GOOD.But, we all are more angry/paranoid due to challenges of survival and our insatiable desires searching for more!more!!more!!!.
WTM Admin
Explanation of the human condition does take time to digest but as THE Interview explains humans’ anger and greed isn’t the result of survival instincts rather it is the result of a psychosis, caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect (which Video/Freedom Essay 3 further explains). Significantly a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding—a revelation that can transform the human race (see FAQ 1.6)!

What a great revelation and vision, and also science based! I am really thrilled over the interview and it confirms my own thoughts, gut feelings and vision I had in 2001 about Unus Mundus. Especially the part of nurturing unconditionally love from mother to child. It’s true. It gives a great feeling and relieve to know we are good, loving and compassionate creatures. I always knew and felt a lifetime stranger here on earth. It was a hard struggle, sometimes still is. But now I can finally be who I really am and give that to others in my work. To lift the condition of guilt. Keep up this good work. Thank U so much for sharing! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Life in its True Nature is a perfectly harmonic balance among pure chaos... Embrace this idea to truly accept your inherent human responsibility to achieve balance or Chaos will become Life.
WTM Admin
Thanks for your viewpoint Guy. Jeremy Griffith’s treatise explains from first principle biology that the nature or meaning of life isn’t chaos but rather integration or order, see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the integrative meaning of life’.

I hope it doesn’t take generations, as Jeremy suggested, to purge the clinkers, from the backside of humanity. I think current events will reach their pinnacle & implode soon.
I have always felt, that love is our natural state & was blessed with nurturing parents.

Thank you for The Human Condition Solved. We are love. We are one. We are the children of the Sun. We all remember our ancient instincts it is our natural state. We will return to this as there is a massive awareness that things have gone so badly wrong over thousands of years. The Age of Aquarius is upon us now and we need to join together and share this important knowledge. Stay on a positive vibration and not be controlled by the corrupt media and governments. Brightest blessings to you all.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your thoughts Louise. It is astonishing to finally have the human condition solved and be able to legitimately return to our natural loving state. To do this science had to answer the the crux question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving and selfless are we so competitive and selfish? This is what Jeremy Griffith has answered with his ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world (see FAQ 6.5 which eplains the critical difference between Jeremy’s work and the New Age Movement). Also being able to understand the human condition, we can now see that everyone has suffered from it, and all our institutions, including governments, have been a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition can stop the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look, see FAQ 1.6.

Just when Graeber and Wengrow comprehensively deconstruct and dispell linear versions of human history and origin myths, another of white man comes along reinventing them and seeking to reinstate a crass and preposterous Robinson Crusoe Eurocentric bourgeois patriarchal individualism.

This interview with all of the content discussed gave me ‘chill’s’ in the best way & a sigh of relief too, it truly was very informative & gave some kind of rare explanation as to why & how we as human beings are in this state of dire straights on this journey we call ‘life’. Thankyou for your conscious efforts & work to ‘awaken’ all..it was overdue I believe and very very necessary!!💫💯🎯

I am glad that this gentlemen found a scientific paradigm to give him hope and guidance to cooperative behaviour . For me, however, he is only drawing upon western history and science, and exclusively frames everything in judeo-hellenic ethical terms, with simplistic dualistic splits of good bad - gene nerve - ego instinct - science mystical - left wing right wing divisions. For example, he does not include the collectivist holistic systemic thinking of indigenous cultures. As a professional mediator, I am afraid he is unrealistic with his claim that knowledge is the key to collaboration; conflict resolution theory and practice debunks the rational man model. Perhaps he should look at works such as Vern Redekopf on Deep-Rooted Conflict? I know Vern took a great interest in neuro-sciences as well. All the best - in peace.
WTM Admin
The central tenet of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and therefore it follows that he recognises that the more ‘primitive’ are race of people is, such as in indigenous cultures, the more cooperative and loving they will be, which is the source of their collectivist, holistic thinking. You might be interested in chapter 8:12 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM, which discusses the relatively innocent Bushmen of the Kalahari at some length. However, what needs to be answered and what is of unique significance about Jeremy’s treatise is he has answered the essential question of why we departed from that innocent state. Why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish, so much so that we are destroying ourselves and our world? Ultimately we needed the rational, biological, accountable explanation for our ‘fall’ from grace, which is what is provided here, and the more you digest it, the more you will realise that it does reconcile all the polarities of human live, such as instinct and intellect, left-wing and right-wing, good and bad etc.

Great thought and a novel approach to solving the bad sides of the human condition. It depends though on these ideas being thoroughly disseminated across the board in the world and being accepted by the worst of the worst, given that a lot of these can actually be illiterate and/or be extremely sceptical of the science behind it all, with instant dismissal. How do we bring in all the black sheep AND change their minds?
WTM Admin
Jeremy Griffith’s work is about confronting and solving the human condition, and given our historic way of coping with the human condition has been to avoid it at all costs, Jeremy’s REAL path to our species’ salvation is a tough one to initiate, however humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish, because, as Jeremy explains in chapter 9 of his definitive book FREEDOM, once people start having the legitimate ‘change of heart’ that this information allows, the selflessness that it liberates will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet including teaching other people about this redeeming information, but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board, even the black sheep. For example, Jeremy writes in paragraph 1253, “Materialism and greed are old baggage now, discarded rubbish to be left on the garbage tip. No one is going to buy them anymore. Their power to seduce is gone because the most magnificent alternative has arrived to transport everyone to a world of soul, real love, real meaning, real togetherness and real happiness. Everyone, every Peruvian, every Kenyan, every Chinese person, every Indian, every American, every European, all people on Earth, can now join the great exodus from the, in truth, terrible human-condition-afflicted, materialistic, greedy, selfish existence. NO ONE WILL WANT THAT ANYMORE WHEN THE TRUTH GETS OUT ABOUT WHAT IS ON OFFER NOW!”

I believe that the keyword for change has to be intent. All revolutionary idealism, even the human condition idealism, must concur that one must have intention to understand, awaken, agree with, or concur that a problem exists. I trust that the enormous number of humans who want a more cohesive human condition of love and understanding will help to create a society with this said condition. However, there is also an enormous number of people who do not believe they need to change. They feel comfortable in their own skin, so to speak. “ Why fix something that works well in their lives?” New Age thinking could morph into the concept of the human condition as portrayed here but many people make a huge living on the very concept of awakening. The words family, community, church, even society are alienating to those who have a history of deep rooted pain with those words. I know that going forward, the survival of humanity will depend on the ability of the individual and the collective force of human intent to collaborate and grow into a trusting, knowledgeable awakened state of human consciousness. It all must start with intention.
WTM Admin
It is very important to note that Jeremy Griffith’s work not an idealistic plea for everyone to behave cooperatively, it is a biological defence of ‘realism’. More particularly, as is explained in FAQ 6.6, “while it is easy to identify with the ideal of everyone being cooperative and loving, the whole objective of the human journey was, as mentioned, to find understanding of why humans have not been cooperative and loving and instead so divisively competitive and aggressive. That is the great riddle of the human condition that had to be explained, and what is finally revealed with Jeremy’s biological explanation is that there has been an all-important, good reason for that divisive behaviour. It’s always been easy to side with idealism and denigrate realism, but now at last we can understand the real world humans have been living in where we have had to be competitive, aggressive and selfish, and, most wonderfully of all, by revealing that reason, ending the need for that divisive behaviour.” It is that ‘all-important, good reason’ that is explained by the intellect vs instinct explanation of the human condition that is presented in THE Interview. See also FAQ 6.5 on the difference between the explanation of the human condition and New Age pseudo idealism.

Prof. Prosen’s claim is outrageous, not say blasphemous. We already know what’s wrong with humanity. Adam sinned against God & the human race became sinners. Jesus died on the cross to pay the price of soon, satisfying the justice of God. And on the third day he was resurrected with new body that cannot die. The evidence for the resurrection is overwhelming & convincing. By putting out faith in Jesus we are saved & receive the Holy Spirit & our sinful nature is progressively transformed. One day Jesus will return & there will be a new creation without sin. And believers will be resurrected. It sounds fantastic but it is true & written in the Bible, the Word of God.

Thank you!

No, our selfishness and aggression is not instinctive in origin; all the evidence shows that our instinctive heritage is cooperate.Even though other animals display various levels of socialness they are driven by gene-based natural selection and the essential fact or rule of natural selection is that genes are unavoidably selfish, so there is a fundamental limit to the amount of selfless, loving behaviour they can develop. One brilliant aspect of biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work is his explanation of how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process, which produced our genuinely all-loving, altruistic instincts. FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we acquire our moral soul’ summarises this explanation, using the example of the extraordinarily cooperative bonobos, who have developed this ‘love-indoctrination’ process to a lesser degree.‘The fall’ is the religious term that describes our species transition from a cooperative instinctive state into a competitive conscious state. How and why this occurred is the core question before our species. We needed a scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. This is what Jeremy Griffith has answered with explanation of how the ‘instinct vs intellect’ conflict caused us to be come psycholologically upset sufferers of the human condition, and why his work has received praise from eminent scientists and thought leaders around the world (see their commendations on our homepage).Thank you for your statement we need to wake up and take action.please keep up the good work

[E.O.] Wilson relies upon a 2008 report by [Gottfried] Hohmann titled ‘Primate hunting by bonobos at LuiKotale, Salonga National Park’ to draw these erroneous comparisons with the more aggressive chimpanzees—but Hohmann’s report actually reveals extraordinary differences between bonobos and chimpanzees...”We are proposing that without understanding of the human condition, humans have found the cooperative and gentle nature of bonobos (and our cooperative heritage depicted in myths) highly confronting of our own upset state (dealt with at length in FREEDOM chs. The second strategy, adopted by [Craig] Stanford, is to minimize the differences between the two Pan species: if bonobos behave, by and large, like chimpanzees, there is no reason to question the latter species’ prominence as a model”.This is a breakthrough. Well done!!
Enlightening material.
A truly inspiring man and a wonderful way to solve the problems of the world uniting people through science of the Human Condition through the ages.
This is NOT SCIENCE!! The entire field of psychiatry is bogus and criminal in its assertions. The human condition is caused by the pursuit of profit over and above the welfare of humanity. Havent you read ANY history.

I just ordered the book, have been listening to any / every interview with Jeremy Griffith. My life story can relate to all the conflict/ confusion. My question is: Now that science had diagnosed the human dilemma / condition, what’s the solution? Thank you!!
This transformation is happening as you can see the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving on our homepage and scroll down to see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world! This is interesting
How can science explain the complex human with an individual mind
Yes, everyone is a unique individual, and the mind is incredibly complex, but with Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition, we can now understand that all humans, even though they manifest it in a million different ways, suffer from a fundamental insecurity over their self-worth caused by the clash between our instincts and intellect. It is this core issue that Jeremy addresses and solves, and is why this redeems, reconciles and rehabilitates everyone.
This is like a breath of fresh air,I’ve never questioned myself of who i am however I’ve questioned why the world is the way it is, thanks for such great preparation.
So happy to hear some real & pertinent news! Well done indeed!!! Thank you.
Please share this amazing knowledge!!!
2:11 ‘Multilevel Selection theory for eusociality’, with specific reference to Gottfried Hohmann’s 2008 report. [E.O.] Wilson relies upon a 2008 report by [Gottfried] Hohmann titled ‘Primate hunting by bonobos at LuiKotale, Salonga National Park’ [the quote you refer to is based on] to draw these erroneous comparisons with the more aggressive chimpanzees—but Hohmann’s report actually reveals extraordinary differences between bonobos and chimpanzees...”We are proposing that without understanding of the human condition, humans have found the cooperative and gentle nature of bonobos highly confronting of our own upset state (dealt with at length in FREEDOM chs. 5 & 6) and instead want to use chimpanzee’s aggressive nature as a model for human behaviour (which supports the false ‘savage instincts’ excuse addressed in this interview). Thank you so much. I so grateful to have stumbled on this interview. This is so important that I need to hear it again and again and share it with friends family and colleagues I know in the peacebuilding world .
This book can only have the most damaging effect on mankind if it’s believed.. it is the scientific worlds last ditch attempt to try and convince us that they have the answers when in fact they are so far away from any real understanding, meaning or purpose of life.. please stop studying the physical and look at the non physical for your answers….
Thank you for such clarity of the human condition with understanding I can forgive myself and so forgive those around me. But just has important we can grow together with true purpose.

I know that, given the circumstances and the provocation, I could commit any crime in the calendar”Yes, as is explained in FAQ 1.38 “we can now see why our species has not just been ego-centric, but ego-infuriated, even ego-gone-mad-with-murderous-rage for having to live with so much unjust criticism/guilt, for some 2 million years. At long last we have the reason for humans’ capacity for shocking acts of cruelty, sadism, hate, murder and warfare—we now know the source of the dark volcanic forces in us humans.” Importantly, as this FAQ explains, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction the horrific violence humans can commit, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it.Dr.Grifith explaination is so much alike with Sadhguro (India)...They both have fully understand the power of conciously living daily. Great work Dr.Grifith🙏
This perfectly explained psychological truth reignites the hope in all of humanity and with it; a sincere dream for an existence with peace and understanding worldwide. This knowledge should be made available in all schools ASAP! I have always believed- to really know and understand oneself with “warts and all” truly sets one free! We need to re-educate the assumptive bigotry and division that divides us.
This is dead-on knowledge, understanding and wisdom
So, what is the solution for nowadays problems, the Vax, the turmoil in the world..? Solution...?
The solution is understanding the human condition and the legitimate return to a selfless way of living that brings about. To clarify, all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans. We are the ones who are egocentric, selfish, greedy, materialistic, fake, angry as hell. And so it’s that underlying issue—our ‘good and evil’ stricken human condition—that has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems and that is exactly what Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition does (see FAQs 1.5 & 1.6). This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race (see FAQs 4.1, 4.4 & our Transformation page). This transformation of our world isn’t a theory it is happening! Interestingly, this is not too dissimilar from the teachings of Christ.
To know ourselves means freedom and this interview gets us closer to explain our shadow that Jung challenges us to embrace!
I found this , well awesome. Right time to re know this knowledge and put it to practice.
What a fantastic genius, you are the voice for moral understanding of humanity congratulations to all the people who support you in this exciting news of truth and human condition and human rights God bless you xx
thank you for answering this important part of my search.
Brilliant !!
Thankyou. Kia kaha. (Maori)
Well , it is very important for all of us to understand what the world has become and as not many of us is able to understand it in different ways . It is also good to get a better knowledge too, we be able to teach our kids and grandkids too . Thank you for sharing such great knowledge . Would like to have a copy of the book too. Thank you shou Chu
The book version of THE Interview is free on our homepage here (along with Jeremy Griffith’s other key books including his definitive book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition) to read online or download. You can also download the free Kindle version from Amazon. Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.
A book that even those who can no longer read will listen to with joy.
Absolutely a great understanding of why we are the way we are!
There needs to be a second more important book on how to implement the transition to our better selves.
Even though THE Interview is only a summary presentation, Part 4 does address this and explains that for the upset within us to be completely healed it will take generations but importantly we can be immediately free of its effects (also see FAQ 4.1). This is further explained on our Transformation page and also comprehensively answered in Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM chapter 9.You are right to stress this point though Guy, as our universal upset is now so great that virtually all humans will now need some form of therapy. Jeremy is actually currently writing two new Freedom Essays about the genuinely effective therapy and healing that understanding of the human condition now makes possible. These are Essays 63: ‘Pseudo Therapy/Healing’ and 64: ‘Real Therapy/Healing’. Essay 63 will explain there are many approaches that seek to heal and therapise human psychoses but they are all coming from an extremely dishonest and superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angle and Essay 64 will present the human-condition-confronting, honest, true, genuinely effective therapy/healing that understanding of the human condition now makes possible.I am very interested in this planet , I believe we need to know the meaning of the truth in Freedom !! Thank you for this Movement !.
Thanks for great insight
I received copy of “Freedom” for Christmas. I’ve just begun to read and will also watch any videos. I have to say I’m not much of a reader and I’ve never read a book with almost 900 pages, but after starting this book, it has woke my curiosity.
FREEDOM has certainly intrigued many others Lori being number 10 on Amazon UK Bestsellers List in Dec 2021 (see here)! It is Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book so watching this summary interview and our Introductory Video series (all freely available at HumanCondition.com) as you are doing is the perfect way to explore and consider this all-important explanation and the astonishing transformation it leads to. Feel free to contact us with any questions or thoughts you have along the way and register for Jeremy’s live events and you also like to join our WTM Facebook Group where there is much interesting and excited discussion taking place.
It all comes across as a bit juvenile. Very superficial and misses the mark. This sort of concept could never propel a civilisation for 2000 years in the way Christianity has.
To solve end human suffering we have to address it’s cause. While Christianity and other religions contain all manner of extraordinarily profound truth about human life, it is from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the profound biological breakthrough Jeremy presents as recognised by eminent scientists and thought leaders around the world (see their commendations on our homepage). What Jeremy is putting forward is that for there to be a fundamental change in our human situation we had to understand the human condition – humans’ capacity for good and evil – from a biological perspective.
It brings peace ✌️ to a fallen generation
Thank you for sharing this essential truth. I kept expecting to see the pitch to buy some product and there was none. His books are free. The info is free. Thank you all that you are doing. And for the bonus inspirational reading recommendations! You’ve restored my faith in humanity.
Appreciated Jeremy Griffith for educational exploration of human beings in generalities to the globe.I love the WORD said by YOU that humans are created to be GOOD.But, we all are more angry/paranoid due to challenges of survival and our insatiable desires searching for more!more!!more!!!.
I am biologist too and now I realise that everything has a sense !!! ... Wonderful presentation !!!
Finnally! Some Sense, in all of the NonSense! Peace and love All Around <3 THANK Ü 4 sharing 🙏
Life in its True Nature is a perfectly harmonic balance among pure chaos... Embrace this idea to truly accept your inherent human responsibility to achieve balance or Chaos will become Life.

Thank you 😊💓I am relieved and more comfortable being me. Beyond awesome. I am in
🙏❤️
Just when Graeber and Wengrow comprehensively deconstruct and dispell linear versions of human history and origin myths, another of white man comes along reinventing them and seeking to reinstate a crass and preposterous Robinson Crusoe Eurocentric bourgeois patriarchal individualism. Great work!
I’d like to hear more

Great!
Excellent! I have been questioning why we are so disfunctional as humans for such a long time. Thank you!
Fantastic! Thanks for this novel approach.
I just listened to the interview and i gotta agree that that interview is the most important yet enthralling listen ive had in long time. I lok forward to reading urr book Freedom in hopes of fundng some of my own and sharing my positive experience whlst showing the next tortured soul the way to a more peaceful and enoyable life through the miracle of finding freedom from ones own judgement of self hopefully
Interesting
Best interview ever... Save our planet and everything in it 🌏💖
Great thought and a novel approach to solving the bad sides of the human condition.
Refreshing
Interesting indeed
Interesting
Loved the explanation! It made so much sense. You finally connected all of the dots! Unfortunately I do believe there are people that cannot comprehend this. I need to get your book and watch the other videos. Thank you for your work!
You have touched a door to reason and it is also inspiring and easily explained. Thank you!!!
This is a meaningless waffles to me. Trying to look clever without being it, never mind the famous names brought up.
Very interesting interview, we can learn a lot from others 🙏👍🔥💯
I am a practitioner and in the past I was a biology teacher. I am just very curious what this guy is talking about
Interesting
YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED.
