Just wow

Melanie

I don’t have the money to buy your book right now

WTM Admin

You don’t need to buy any of Jeremy Griffith’s books Melanie because they are all FREE and immediately available right HERE on our homepage!! You can also download the free Kindle versions from Amazon. (For those who still wish to purchase a copy you can from Amazon or other good bookstores.)

Jojo

Environment mostly determines who we are along with genetics. Trauma can be passed on up to three generations, but most likely more. None of our foods are original from god source. An orange from 1950’s you could eat one orange in 1950’s and today’s orange you would need to eat 8 to get the same nutrients from just one in 1950. We are spiraling in decadence, narcissism, depravity and nihilism in my opinion

WTM Admin

We suggest the more you absorb what is presented in THE Interview the more you will realise that it explains humans’ psychological upset is not a product of our environment or our genetics but the result of a universal psychosis, caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. And, significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding. With the source of all our trauma and suffering compassionately explained we have the means to heal and save the world from the terrifying end play threat of terminal levels of psychosis that you describe, see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why understanding the human condition solves everything’.

Tamella Walls

I thought it was remarkable very interesting and educational i want to listen to it again, sure does make you think differently in a positive way

Leslee Darby

I totally understand this. I have been experiencing all of this ..Meaning of life and Moral concerns have been completely felt and learned thru my life. I have been searching to understand what my feel really is. I feel energies have explained this to me thru my cells and thru energies in all ways.. I have been studying for several years biology, genetics, and God (religion in all forms, good and evil.) I have learned balance thru this and I know that my subconscious (auto) and consciousness work well together. Your amazing and appreciate your interview!!!

WTM Admin

Thanks Leslee. Yes, ultimately we needed science to explain the human condition, the essential question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish—why do we have such ‘moral concerns’. So at last we can understand that humans are born with an all-sensitive soul or instinctive self from which our ability to feel and connect with the integrative meaning of life is sourced, but that we departed from that state because of the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. For us to become truly balanced and whole we had to confront and explain the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. See FAQ section 6 which explain this critical difference between Jeremy’s work and pseudo idealistic techniques/ movements and how it reconciles science and religion and also FAQ 1.26 ‘What is soul’ discusses the depth of sensitivity this pure and truly moral part of ourselves can access.

Martin Dearden

Appreciative

Teresa

Real good info. Must listen to it.

John Gillespie

A loving response to everything feels better,, and this positiveness folds into the next interaction and proliferates a goodness based living.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts John. At last we can understand why being loving feels better because that behaviour is consistent with our all-loving and cooperative instinctive self or soul. But to live a life based on goodness that lasts we have to answer the burning question of WHY when the universal ideals are to be loving and selfless are we so competitive and selfish? It is this crux question that biologist Jeremy Griffith confronts and answers in THE Interview. Only through understanding the dark side of ourselves can we free ourselves from the human condition and legitimately love ourselves and each other again. This is the critical difference between Jeremy’s work and the new age movement, see FAQ 6.5.

Richard Fadle

Great knowledge!! But knowing this stuff; can this help people to change in a good way? For there benefit and the world’s Benefit?

WTM Admin

It certainly can Richard! In fact we have never before seen the power this knowledge brings to our whole being! Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but, to quote Video/Freedom Essay 5 about the transformation and freedom this understanding brings us: “Really, the transformation of the world is already a fait accompli, a certainty—sure, it will take a little time to get started, but what will win the day is logic. Humans are thinking, rational beings so when all the logic points in one direction then there is really no choice but for every single human to take that path, and eventually they will. It will be slow for a start because humans hate and resist change, but nonetheless change does happen when an idea’s time has come…And with all the crises and suffering and mental agony in the world now, this idea’s time has most certainly come! So, as more and more people catch on to this logical, rational, fully accountable explanation of the human condition, the transformation will begin to sweep the world. When the word gets out about this awesome breakthrough there’s going to be an absolute stampede—it’s going to be on for young and old!”. And this is happening! Just read the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving on our homepage and scroll down to see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world! Also, our Transformation section of our website further explains what is presented in Part 4 of THE Interview about how this rehabilitates the human race and includes many affirmations from people about how this understanding has changed their lives and their families lives.

👋 Hello from CT 💓

Daniel

I am super happy you have found the truth. Can’t wait to hear

Sharon Stewart

Very in lightening. Gives me hope for the future.

ALVINSOR RAMIRO

I would like to translate this in Filipino language. Excellente

WTM Admin

Hi Alvinsor, that is absolutely wonderful you would like to translate THE Interview into Filipino! Please contact us at [email protected] as we greatly appreciate your generous offer.

Gregory S.

Very interested in hearing your Knowledge .......thank you!

Lillian Edwards

The interview was heavily influenced by theology and philosophy with very little empirical knowledge base, and highly leaning to one political side view

WTM Admin

The subject of the human condition asks the age-old question of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, are we so angry, competitive and selfish? Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview. Our FAQ 1.20 outlines ‘What scientific evidence is there for this explanation’ and the commendations Jeremy’s work has received from extremely eminent scientists and thinkers are on our homepage.     Philosophy and theology have also grappled with this most profound of questions of whether we are intrinsically good or bad so in resolving the human condition these subjects are naturally discussed and in fact reconciled in this all-encompassing new paradigm of knowledge, see our FAQs about the demystification of religion.     In terms of politics this explanation of the human condition allows us to understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wing. It brings profound understanding to all sides which ultimately will bring an end to the whole necessary but ugly business of politics, see FAQ 7.1 ‘How does understanding the human condition bring an end to the now horrifically polarised world of politics?’

Carol Brown

I’m going to listen again. I found this at midnight, and I’m falling asleep. Lol Very interesting!

NS luliky

Sound, incredible content. Need to listen more. Grateful

mila

thank you

Esthel Olausson

Where can I get the book?

WTM Admin

Jeremy’s book FREEDOM is free on our homepage here (along with his other key books) to read online or download. You can also download the free Kindle version from Amazon. Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.

Donna Grimwood

That was incredible! I’m so very grateful to have heard this. Just want to hear more now, just brilliant.

Jaime Cluxton

Very informative and interesting, makes a lot of sense! The world needs a lot of love and understanding, that’s what will heal us all! Thank you for sharing, I think everyone should watch.

Sonnie Hendricks

Totally explains my frustration when I can’t explain myself to someone that can’t hear what I am saying. With the guilt that is placed on us for not being kind to someone being harsh to you comes from the beginning. Blessings for your dedication to find the beginning of truth. Sonnie

WTM Admin

Thank you Sonnie, yes being able to understand the human condition brings enormous relief to every aspect of our lives, and as you say, everything can now be sourced in the our original state of guilt from having destroyed our all-loving cooperative soul and the paradise in which we used to live. But as Jeremy explains in Part 4 of the THE Interview, what the explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all!

Christine Thofson

Very easy to understand I am excited to hear more

WTM Admin

Thank you Christine; that is great you are accessing the information. Our homepage — HumanCondition.com — provides a wonderful road map to progress with all our key material made freely available. We also encourage people to register for free, live, interactive presentations with Jeremy about this immensely relieving understanding, and to join our Facebook Group where there is much interesting and excited discussion taking place.

Stewart

A lot to assimilate, thankyou

WTM Admin

Finally being able to explain the human condition, understand the source of the 2 million years of psychological upset in the human race, does present a massive paradigm shift in our thinking which takes time to absorb. After watching THE Interview we suggest people watch Introductory Videos/Freedom Essays 1 to 14 which elaborate on what is presented in THE Interview (freely available on our homepage). Of course Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM is the ultimate and most comprehensive presentation of his work which is also freely available here on our website.

Barry

Have read recently that humans once lived a simple existence as hunter - gatherers, and communal beings where they all looked after each other, and enjoyed their time on this planet. And then along came “ Ownership”, and the downhill slide began.

WTM Admin

One of the central tenets of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and therefore it follows that the further back in human history you go, the more cooperative and loving they will be, which was the case with hunter gatherers. However, while the advent of agriculture and animal domestication served to accelerate the psychological upset that characterises the human condition, it did not cause humanity’s problems, as thinkers such as Marx have suggested. It is our psychologically upset state that creates those conditions not vice versa. We suggest looking at FAQ 7.3 which deals with socialism and communism and Marxist thought in greater detail.

Guy Mapplebeck

Finaly someone understands the true nature the human condition.

Willem Februarie

Mind and body healing

Rebecca

All I can say is wow! this is very informative and so gives you another look at how we are as humans. beautifully said thank you

Paul Reicht

I am glad you went at the human condition from the field of biology, not philosophy or psychology (which have turned out mounds of bolderdash on the subject).

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Paul. Yes, since the study of behaviour is the province of biology, it follows that the all-important task of explaining and understanding human behaviour, most especially the crux issue of our ‘good and evil’ conflicted human condition, has been the particular responsibility of biological scientists. And as THE Interview explains, it turns out that the human condition is the unlocking point for so much enquiry that has been stalled by having to live in denial of it. Now with Jeremy Griffith’s denial-free, holistic ‘instinct vs intellect’ treatise an entirely new landscape of knowledge opens up, so we are sure you will find Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM absolutely fascinating. It, along with all Jeremy’s key books are freely available here on our homepage.

Elizabeth Di Blasio

I called my local library and it was delivered today! I am looking forward to tackle your book! From what you say on You Tube, I immediately ordered it. Thank you Dr. Jeremy Griffith! Yours truly, Elizabeth Di Blasio. A great admirer!

Dr palmer sweet

Lovely...but I knew that

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Dr Sweet. We suggest the great question has always been ‘why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, are we so angry, competitive and selfish?’, and answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview. You may find FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does this instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ of interest.

Steve Greene

You and Jordan Peterson would get along greatly. I am interested in learning more and will be trying to get your book. Thank you so much for your work and keep it up the world needs all types especially biologist / psychologist / academic such as yourself and me

WTM Admin

Thank you, Steve. You can immediately access Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition for free on our homepage here (along with his other key books including THE Interview) to read online or download. You can also download the free Kindle version from Amazon, otherwise hard copies can be purchased from Amazon or other good bookstores.     There is a feast of information available on the website, which we think you’ll find endlessly fascinating. The fundamental problem the human race has always had is to explain or justify competitive, selfish and aggressive behaviour. That is the issue of the human condition that Jeremy finally explains and why his work is of unique importance to the survival of the world. After THE Interview we encourage people to watch/read our Introductory Videos/Freedom Essays 1-4 and 14 on our homepage, and you will see in Video/Freedom Essay 14 that Jeremy discusses Jordan Peterson’s work, which he describes as immensely heroic yet ultimately doomed, because only the psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real explanation of the human condition can stop the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look. It is precisely this real psychologically redeeming and transforming explanation that Jeremy has delivered in his first principle-based biological understanding of the human condition. But while Peterson does not explain the biology of the human condition correctly, Jeremy is very appreciative of his work, referring to it in an essay that was published in Spectator Magazine.

Marcos Betances

Yeah one thing that was missed here. Which is something that I innately sense as a matter of fact is that consciousness is not just the work of nerves and genes. But there’s something else at work when we experience deja vu, outer body experience, or a mystical vision or experience. This doesn’t answer it.

WTM Admin

THE Interview does explain that all humans are born with an all-loving and compassionate soul or instinctive self from which our ‘spirituality’ is sourced, but that we became alienated from that state because of the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. We recommend re-watching the presentation, especially Part 3 ‘How did we humans acquire our instinctive cooperative and loving moral conscience?’. Also FAQ 1.26 ‘What is soul’ discusses the depth of sensitivity this pure and truly moral part of ourselves can access, while FAQ 6.7 discusses whether a scientific explanation can ever encompass the so-called ‘spiritual’ element of life.

Miles J.

Very refreshing to know that I am not the only one who has noticed the human condition and how far we have come without destroying ourselves completely. Thank you for your patience with the world.

Edik

For many years I was waiting for this kind of explanation! I’m happy to listen to your beautiful mind sounds 🙏🏼🍀🍀🍀🌈

Sally

Thank you, I enjoyed your video so much that I have watched it several times. May you both be blessed

Abena Amponsah

This is what the world needs to understand

Nodumo Portia Ndengezi

I’m so moved by the interpretation of human condition in terms of Biblical word.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much, Nodumo. Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition at last reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. In fact what people discover is it is the fulfilment of a time that all the great prophets looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves — see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’ and FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’. Also, we think you’ll find Jeremy’s Freedom Essays 38 – 41, which decipher religion, absolutely fascinating.

Rita

I’m very interested to learn

Philip Duncan

Nothing I have read or listened to has brought the journey of spiritual awareness and scientific understanding into such alignment. I feel it contains the solution to the heaviness we experience existing outside love. It compels a realization of the understanding of acceptance and removes all guilt.

Shanti

With Biology, mind and heart coherence and ancient teachings, geometry, cosmology and more ... it all makes perfect sense.

Fran Gleeson

A very interesting interview, very thought provoking. I wondered about the idea of nurturing mothers as selfish and motivated by the continuation of her genes. I know for me personally my sense of shame as a mother comes from the sense that I would have caused my own child suffering and what that might mean for him. When I am connected with my true nurturing nature it is out of pure love for him and the bond/attachment we share. I have witnessed parents of children with complex needs, love and give relentlessly selflessly. I do not see a genetic drive in that, just pure love.

WTM Admin

Maternalism is a genetically selfish activity, but Jeremy is not saying maternalism accounts for the love human mothers feel for their children. In Part 3 of THE Interview, he explains that it was because maternalism is a genetically selfish activity that love indoctrination was able to become established in our distant ancestors millions of years ago. However, and very importantly, once love indoctrination became established, mothers began to actively love their children. The extraordinarily nurturing bonobos demonstrate this transition from selfish instinctive behaviour to the beginning of genuine love.     THE Interview also explains it is ONLY NOW that we can explain the competitive, selfish and aggressive upset state of the human condition and thus understand why the present human-condition-afflicted human race hasn’t been able to nurture our infants as much as their instincts expect that it becomes safe to finally admit that nurturing is what made us human—that it was women’s maternal love that gave us our moral soul and created humanity! You can read more about love indoctrination in Freedom Essay 21 and chapter 5 of FREEDOM.

Marley Aspinwall

Such a fascinating hypothesis! Will have to listen to several times to really digest, but it makes perfect sense. Thank you for sharing this incredible information with the world!

Michele monteith

This supports much of how I live and what I wish to believe; thank you so very much! Cannot wait to share and discuss

Demarcus Franklin

PERFECT!!!

Hazel Van Vuuren

Very interesting if only humans can work in cooperation

Donna

Wonderful! This is absolutely the best thing that the world is desperately in need of. The truth is here after so long we’ve been living in a delusional world. Thank you thank you thank you.

E.George

I can now have idea about subconscious and instinct reflection in human being.

Aldric

This needs to be an MP3 as well... Very very interesting observations and analysis... What is TAUGHT is competition - NOT cooperation... If cooperation was the primary focus of the species, we would be light years ahead of where we are now; it must change...

WTM Admin

Thanks Aldric. THE Interview is available as an MP3 in the ‘Audio’ option listed at the top of this page and can also be listened to on Spotify.     What is so important about Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is that it finally explains the real reason for why humans’ competitive behaviour became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. Proving we were better than someone else gave us validation and reinforcement to counter the deep insecurity we felt about having to become self-corrupted. And so competition, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge, ultimately for self-knowledge. So yes it has contributed much but at a high price for ourselves and the world. Now with our goodness and worth biologically established, we no longer need to be preoccupied with proving our goodness and worth. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source so we can actually stop the destruction of ourselves and the planet and save the world.

Danny Mcareavey

A most enlightening and enjoyable interview. Makes one think of their own behaviour and how to go about trying to change it

Frank Scott

Sounds wonderful!

Jackie

Wow I get it but I really need to watch again and read the book. Thank you so much

Suzanne Longford

Understanding instinct is most important in understanding the human condition. Evolution is instincts for survival. Mothers who did not care for their children did not survive. Selfishness is also a survival instinct. Humans have in the last 150 years have made an amazing leap in Science but are still dominated by our Domination instinct instead of Cooperation. Bonobo is about sex more than love …..

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts, Suzanne. We suggest the more you absorb what is presented in THE Interview the more you will realise that it explains humans’ selfish behaviour is not a product of unchangeable survival animal instincts within us but the result of a universal psychosis, caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect, and a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding. Basically, as is also explained in THE Interview, saying our selfish and aggressive behaviour is a manifestation of survival or selfish instincts was just a convenient excuse while we searched for the psychosis-addressing-and-solving real explanation of our divisive behaviour (see FAQ 1.29 ‘Is the human condition biological or psychological’).     While there are remnants of selfish reciprocity, sexual opportunism and aggression in bonobo behaviour as THE Interview evidences they are extraordinarily matriarchal, or female role focused, and extraordinarily nurturing; see FAQ 5.2 ‘What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’

Kenny Mcenhill

Don’t you think that our condition has anything to do with our fall from grace? Have you read the bible?

WTM Admin

As explained in Part 2 of THE Interview, the book of Genesis story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden describes the primary situation involved in our human condition of the psychologically upsetting battle that emerged between our instincts and our conscious intellect’s search for knowledge. So ‘the fall’, if you want to use religious terminology, was caused by the emerging conscious mind’s search for knowledge, which was in effect criticised by our pre-established instincts which were ‘intolerant’ of those experiments in self-management. Understanding that the conscious mind is an insightful learning tool, and therefore needs to find understanding to operate, removes the burden of guilt from humanity. Rather than being ‘sinful’ for taking the fruit from the tree of knowledge, we can now understand that we conscious humans are heroes, not villains. Having found the good reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. This is the essence of the transformation that is now available.     And yes, Jeremy has the greatest respect for the Bible (he describes it as a repository of pre-scientific truth) and the role Christianity has played in the world (see Freedom Essay 39). His work simply brings biological understanding to religion’s pre-scientific descriptions of our condition (see our FAQs about religion).

Compelled to read this. Very interesting

I’m interested to know more and hope it brings understanding and unity to all

Mark Leigh

This is a fascinating topic for discussion. I’ve always wondered why people think like they do and a large part of that is due to their thoughts being biased by fear and greed. People won’t believe things that trouble them even if they’re true, likewise they’ll believe in things that make them content even if they aren’t true which is unlike other animals that only believe what they think to be true regardless of how good or bad it is for them.

Traci

Thanks for being you. Unselfish dedication to explain terms of our human minds. I’m not a student of higher education, but can understand your teaching from an average human being stand point.

Interesting and fascinating. Puts life in perspective in terms of the human condition.

Bravo!!!!! A current and significant VIEW into the Human Condition .... I feel confident Mr. Griffith“s ”Proofs“ (Thats Hows SCIENTISTS Make Conclusions) is accurate! I would like to See/Hear Him or someone else Masterfully Knowledgeable Make The Connection Or Parallel To The Spiritual Or Mystical ”Path Of Return“ Of which he defines SO WELL. Many ”SAGES“ along the journey of Human Development have Seen, Known & Shared/Promoted The Same Story! And it will take a UNIFICATION of Perspectives (Both Spiritual & Scientific) To bring THE MESSAGE ... THE TRUTH ... To OPEN EARS .... When I was a young boy, my Father explained to me that The time of ”Universal Consciousness " Would unfold within my physical Human Lifetime .... AH .... SO ..... It Is Happening! May we ALL Lift the delusional veil of Seperation!!!! P E A C E! Ray

WTM Admin

Thanks Raymond, yes the study of the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so now that we can biologically explain the human condition, the role that religion, and the spiritual aspect of life, is also demystified; and it is revealed that not only are the universal ideals that religion has upheld for humanity confirmed, but we also now have the fully rational, compassionate and redeeming explanation for our “separated” selves and the “delusional veil” we have all lived under while we searched for this compassionate defence of our divisive upset behaviour. Great wisdom can be found in some spiritual teaching, but ultimately our thinking mind needed understanding—specifically, scientific understanding of why when the ideals are to be loving and selfless are we so competitive and selfish? This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the breakthrough that can save the world. You can read about the reconciliation of science and religion that is now possible in FAQ 1.15 and FAQ 6.2. We also recommend FAQ 6.5, which explains the difference between Jeremy’s explanation and new age spirituality, and FAQ 1.13, which explains the originality of his work.

Kathy

Honestly I think that people were born basically being good. But when we learn and grow we learn selfish ways. But mankind is forever looking for what he needs to fill his soul. Until then, we are confused and keep searching to fill us with what we know is right.

WTM Admin

This breakthrough instinct versus intellect explanation of the human condition (which Video/Freedom Essay 3 further explains) finally provides the biological understanding for why, when we resigned to the horror of the human condition as adolescents, we became divisively — selfishly — rather than cooperatively behaved; a confused state that we sought to mitigate by seeking power, fame, fortune and glory. With our dark side truthfully explained and defended we can finally love ourselves and begin to heal and bring about a new, transformed world, free of suffering, for ourselves and future generations which you can learn all about on our Transformation page.

Fascinating

wow this is Amazing so happy i came across this.x

Chris Kortjohn

To the person who is probably reading these comments and deciding which ones are published and which ones aren’t... There are several points that I don’t believe are communicated. We can’t truly say where we would be with all the things that people think are important without competition. I’m a very competitive person by nature and I reserve that for other people who enjoy a little fun competition. I agree with many aspects being that I live in the United States I can see a lot of these evils. But don’t you think we’re... [doomed]?

WTM Admin

We suggest you watch or re-watch THE Interview as it explains all humans are born with all-loving moral instincts (not ‘savage’ animal instincts) but now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. See FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ and FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

With really no actual physical science to back your psychological “explanation” of the Human condition other than your “theory”, it seems to me, your just pushing your agenda for monetary gain. It all sounds good on paper but….?

I have seen this come up many times, yet have not taken the time to listen. Today I did. and I am pleased to say, I get it and have come out the other side to freedom. After a life time of pushing .... up hill to a great/deep understanding of myself and others and I truly believe we humans are leaning into this way more and more. I know there is a way to go but we are on the way. All the very best to you all!

Parviz Varjavand

This is in line with some ancient Persian explanations of the Human Condition. This would demand a long lecture by me as how the ancient thinkers also saw this and tried to help us cure it.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith makes the point in this presentation that from ancient times many thinkers have identified the elements of instinct and intellect involved in creating the human condition, however the great breakthrough science can now provide is the clarifying explanation of the nature of the conflict between them. Understanding that the gene-based learning system can orientate a species, but that the nerve-based learning system is insightful, allows us to understand that the conscious mind was right to defy our instinctive self and search for understanding. Without that explanation the conflict could not be resolved (you might be interested in Video/Freedom Essay 4 where this is explained in more detail).

God is science

With the human condition solved we can at last demystify and explain religious terms such as ‘God’; see FAQ 6.2 “What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’? / Does the scientific explanation of ‘God’ really contain all the attributes of religion’s metaphysical ‘God’?” (See also our additional FAQs about religion).

Excellent explanation of the human race

Brilliant, this is a must to spend a little time; every one of us should listen. It may even heal the world, the understanding of the human race! Why we are the way we are.

Living conciously with mindfulness has been around for a very long time, but I am pleased to hear the scientists are now on board .... the bigger question is how do we change the right and power they posses over the the people?

WTM Admin

Mindfulness is a useful therapy but Jeremy Griffith’s work is not about such practices. There have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere. The reason is because they don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. See FAQ 6.5 Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?     Also you might be interested in FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

I did not listen to much of this seeing heavily based on EV. as starting point Which is total nonsense

A giant leap that needs to be acted on NOW, hopefully yard not to late! 🙏

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment Sean. We agree we need to act on this critical new science NOW as with support from those who appreciate this understanding, the truth is that this redeeming, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long before everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fame, fortune and glory. We thought you might be interested in FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

What’s happening to Vladimir Putin? Doesn’t he know that he has been acting irrationally like a wild beast from the jungle?

WTM Admin

THE Interview explains that humans’ need for power and domination is not driven by us having ‘wild’ animal instincts but by a psychosis caused by a clash between our intellect and cooperative instincts. So we can now understand that all human aggression and anger is psychological in origin and ultimately an expression of the human condition. We recommend you watch THE Interview and then read Freedom Essay 29, ‘Can human conflict ever be bought to an end’ and our FAQ 4.2 about human ‘evil’ may also be helpful.

Rubbish!!!

Very interesting and informative, the important thing now is to educate this generation & all future generations that they all can contribute to making our world a better place to live in if we learn to be more patient and listen rather than be impatient and disagree with each other frequently causing disharmony & hatred. We don’t have to necessarily agree but we can always talk about whatever it maybe and come to some sort of understanding of each other’s point of view. Let us learn to behave like civilised human beings. It is most important that all politicians and leaders in our world read this book and learn valuable lessons which will make this world a better place for everybody not only themselves.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your feedback Dudley and we agree that this needs to be given to this generation and future generations. This new paradigm of thought takes time to fully absorb so we did want to clarify that now we can understand the human condition we no longer have to learn how to behave or employ civility to control our misbehaviour. We can now understand that a conflict between our intellect and our cooperative instincts led to an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically angry, alienated and egocentric, the upset state we refer to as the human condition. As Jeremy Griffith talks about in THE Interview “While we have learnt to significantly restrain and conceal—‘civilise’ as we refer to it—the phenomenal amount of upset within us, under the surface we all must be boiling with rage, and sometimes, when our restraint can no longer find a way to contain it, that anger must express itself—hence our capacity for shocking acts of cruelty, sadism, hate, murder and war.” Now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition. As Part 4 discusses, we no longer need to control our behaviour as we can legimitately return to our natural selfless way of living as it. Also see FAQs 1.4 – 1.6 and Video/Freedom Essay 5 about how this transformation works.

ZARA TYNDALE

I’m so sorry that this isn’t the answer. How I would love it to be. The whole right wing pursuit of understanding you so admire would never have happened among the bonobos. I love our energetic messy world that has created much that is beautiful and good. You don’t mention power : A reality that has its ups and downs. You don’t mention that as well as unconditionally and loving nurturing, infants need boundaries which can lead to conflict even among bonobos. If all your arguments were leading to a general political agenda to improve parenting then it may have value but the idea that understanding will enable us to offload guilt seems fanciful. Maybe I don’t understand you but to me it feels hopelessly idealistic and unreal. I wish you well. .

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Zara, but we suggest you watch THE Interview again as it will become clear that Jeremy Griffith’s work is not an idealistic plea for the world to just be loving and cooperative. Rather it is a first-principle biological explanation of our ‘good and evil’ stricken human condition that answers the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless we are so angry, competitive and selfish. We can now understand that when our conscious mind emerged and began experimenting in self-management, it came into conflict with our pre-established instincts, causing us to become psychologically upset, which is the source of our divisive behaviour. (This ‘instinct vs intellect’ also explains why we are so different from bonobos – not yet being fully conscious, bonobos have not suffered the same upsetting clash between instinct and intellect, and so still behave in accord with their loving, cooperative instincts. FAQ 5.2 explains how the nurturing based love-indoctrination process led to the establishment of loving and cooperative instincts in our ancestors, and is also in the process of developing in bonobos. Note that THE Interview is only an introductory presentation of the instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition, and that Jeremy refers the audience to chapter 5 of his definitive book FREEDOM where bonobo behaviour and the love-indoctrination process is discussed in greater detail.) ‘Power’, and the need for it, is just one aspect of our divisive behaviour, and it is explained in Part 4 of THE Interview how the psychologically upsetting clash between instinct and intellect led to an undeserved sense of guilt that we sought to assuage through our “power, fame, fortune and glory-seeking existence”. Now that we can explain this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the burden of human condition. So our guilt is not ‘offloaded’ but scientifically sourced and relieved through understanding.
