Indeed very interesting and eye opener, would like to read and listen more from him

Joseph Gamradt

Thank you so much!! I greatly appreciate your understanding and time it took to bring this wonderfully simple explanation to the masses. From the bottom of my heart thank you Jeremy Griffith! I sincerely hope humanity welcome’s this news with open arm’s.

Lukas

Hi, “Lift the burden of guilt” and “we are good” - that is all what is said here if you boil it down. Honestly I do not see what so magnificent about this interview. It reminds me some of those CDs that you can buy in a shopping mall “purifying meditation for all” for one dollar. “Open your mind”, “Let go you negative thoughts and feel the pure essence of your mind”. If you need that - it will work for you. If you need to eat a chocolate instead - it will work as well. I am surprised to see that people say it is such a revelation for them. Guilt is a typical symptom for catholic people so the idea of lifting burden of guilt might be a good thing that will work for them. That was just a waste of time for me. Long and nothing special. Thank you for not deleting this comment and cheers.

WTM Admin

The explanation of the human condition can be initially difficult to access as it has been the most terrifying of subjects to face because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species, and we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it. We suggest looking at Video/Freedom Essay 1 titled ‘Your block to the most wonderful of all gifts’ where Jeremy Griffith explains this initial ‘deaf effect’ and how to overcome it, which is also summarised in FAQ 1.16.

Ansie Campbell

I want to know more information on this topic

WTM Admin

Hi Ansie, at the top of our homepage — HumanCondition.com — it states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview above?’ and guides you through the steps to pursue your interest. This includes registering for our free, live, interactive events with Jeremy Griffith and others and joining our popular Facebook Group.

We need more and more wisdom like this.

Johnny

Agree with everything that was spoken about. What a Beautiful world it could be

Matthew Greentree

Fascinating, lucid explanation of why we humans behave the way we do. Liberating

Addy

He keeps mentioning “the fall”. What was the fall? And I don’t understand what we’re supposed to do with this info. Why is this groundbreaking? I really wish I understood this.

WTM Admin

Hi Addy, thank you for your questions. Firstly, ‘the fall’ is the religious term that describes our species’ transition from a cooperative instinctive state into a competitive conscious state. How and why this occurred is the core question before us: why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we humans so angry, competitive and selfish. This is what Jeremy Griffith has answered with his explanation of how the ‘instinct vs intellect’ conflict caused us to become psychologically upset sufferers of the human condition, and why his work has received praise from eminent scientists and thought leaders around the world (see their commendations on our homepage).     This critical new science presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking so it does take a little time to fully grasp its implications, but essentially explanation of our human condition gives us the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour in ourselves and in everyone else and our behaviour changes naturally as a result. We recommend our FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 as they explain the far-reaching practical applications of this information and Freedom Essay 15 is all about ‘How our lives can be immediately transformed’.

Balraj Sahota

This is not something new We all originated from Pure source and hence we are all good That is the principle on which my Sikh faith is based Our goal is to connect to that goodness The barrier is our ego Person with ego is impure lives in hell Person without ego is pure and lives his life in heaven

WTM Admin

As you digest this understanding, what you find is that rather than condemning humans as ‘evil’, this understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to return to a loving state!

Godwin Gay

In a nutshell all of this video is explained in the Bible, this video is simply a scientific explanation of it. This is a hard listen and viewing, the bible is a hard read but in comparison is easier to understand...The Bible talks about faith i.e. read and believe in what you are reading. Science says read and this is the proof of it relating to the physical and biological, rather than by faith and spirituality..i.e. when you have faith all the complexities of the Bible will be understood by you. We had the proof we needed in the Bible all along and long before this Scientists and Darwin. The difference is science is forever changing and each scientist view is subjective. The only subjectivity of the Bible is that of the reader.

WTM Admin

While religions contained extraordinary truth about human life, it was all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest.

Eva Burian

One basic question is not mentioned here. Who sponsors Jeremy to post all the ads and to give away the book free? Who is behind the World Transformation Movement?

WTM Admin

Hi Eva, the WTM is a global not-for-profit movement supported by the efforts of members and supporters from around the world, and through donations to our two registered charities, which you can read more about in FAQ 3.2 ‘How is the WTM funded?’. And we have many FAQs here that describe the WTM and its work, which we encourage you to peruse.

Jackieta

I am interested to know!

María González

Me gustaría escuchar la entrevista. [I would like to listen to the interview (translated from Spanish).]

WTM Admin

Hi Maria, you can see all our Spanish translations, including THE Interview and some of Jeremy Griffith’s books, on our Translations page. Also the WTM Colombian Centre presents its website in Spanish, including centre founder Carlos Cruz Blanco’s welcome video, so there is a feast of material available!

Julie Andrew

This was so great to listen to. I now see some hope.

Fay Richards

So Simple. How beautiful and peaceful life was.

WTM Admin

Thanks Fay. And what is so exciting and relieving is that with the human condition now solved, all humans will be able to return to that “beautiful” and “peaceful” non-upset ideal state or home we’ve longed for, but we will return to it with understanding, in a fully conscious way. As the poet T.S. Eliot anticipated, ‘We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time’ (Little Gidding, 1942).

Jamie Smallwood

I’m no scientist but I have lead my life by a moral code. I became it in mind, body, and spirit. What I have observed of people is knowing where their emotional line is and where they should not cross into. People lack control because it was never taught.

WTM Admin

Thank you Jamie, that has been a very responsible approach. Under the duress of the human condition we have had to civilise or restrain our upset so that society could continue to function and our species could keep progressing toward finding an answer to our corrupted condition. Depending on our individual encounter with the human condition, each of us civilises or restrains their psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour slightly differently – each of us has a different ‘line’ before their self-worth feels too compromised to accept. Thankfully, that redeeming answer to the human condition has now been found, and rather than controlling our behaviour through discipline or a code, our psychological upset can actually subside, and we can truly be liberated from the human condition.

Toni Jackson

Listen to it once and just put it on autoplay once a day until you can explain it to others. Brilliant.

George Floyd

At last some sane scientific direction.

Kwame

Riveting and illuminating.

Trish

Thankyou, absolutely fascinating, has restored my faith and hope for the future of the world. Looking forward to reading the book.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your wonderful freedback, Trish. Yes, the great hope, faith and trust of the human race has always been that one day the explanation of the human condition would finally be found, freeing humans at last from our psychologically troubled angry, egocentric and alienated existence. And, as incredible as it is, through the advances that have been made in science, that is what biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview! This explanation is so profound it does bring about the wonderful world we have all dreamed of could be — see the Transformation section of our website!     Jeremy’s key books, including THE Interview and his definitive treatise, FREEDOM, are freely available on our homepage here to read online, print and download. You can also purchase hardcopies and download free Kindle versions from Amazon.

Desmond Buchner

Absolutely brilliant eye opener.

Geoff

Love to hear more

andre

It is Just so very good explained. makes me very happy i must Learn what jeremy bringto surface. Just. amazing .thans you jeremy! i love the reassuring wisdom of it all. thank you jeremy

Hirt Claude Georges

ACTION, Words alone are useless !!!

WTM Admin

We agree Hirt, that is why we are doing everything we possibly can to disseminate this biological understanding which ends human suffering at its source by explaining our ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition and unites the human race — see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

Donnay

I work with young people from Haiti. As you may know, they speak French. I would want to share this important interview with them. What can you do to send the french translation so they can take advantage of it also.?

WTM Admin

Hi Donnay, it is wonderful to have your interest! THE Interview booklet, the book Transform Your Life And Save The World also by Jeremy Griffith, and our entire Introductory Essay series are available to read in French - go to https://www.humancondition.com/translations/! So you can provide them with this link or print out these publications for your students. In case it is of interest the WTM Centres in Nice and Switzerland present their websites in French, and also feature these French translations. You can contact these Centres via the contact page on their websites.

James W. Millington

This man is incredibly correct. Dr. Sigmund Freud did not fully understand the self-psychosis of the human condition. Your mental state...your emotional state...and your spiritual state, are your conscious and sub-conscious, Holy Trinity of being a good, positive carbon-based life form known as a Human Being attuned with the Universe. This I say into you all...be the correct positive good legal person that the Creator-of-the-Universe needs you too be. Always remember, be your own creative talented person you are!!! Dr. James W. MILLINGTON...and GOD bless you all!

WTM Admin

Yes, what is so significant about the explanation of the human conditon is that rather than condemning humans as ‘evil’, this understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to return to a loving, ‘attuned with the Universe’, state!

Misti Kershaw

BEAUTIFULLY SAID 💚

Paul

Very good interview. Enlightening.

Alex Rwigyema

It has changed my understanding of myself and mental health issues related to mostly to black men and women in the western world

WTM Admin

All humans suffer from the human condition, and therefore have mental health issues. With regard to differences between races, at last we can understand that while all humans are now fully conscious and part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged, there are more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups), and there are races that have been more exposed to the battle than others, which resulted in endless prejudice where the more innocent would think the more upset were ‘bad’, and the more upset would be confronted by the less upset and oppress them in return, creating all sorts of mental anguish and trauma. However, the key, compassionate insight that upset is not ‘bad’ allows us to reconcile the more upset with the less upset, which puts an end to all prejudices and oppression; in other words, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentation from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Patrick Sontsonga

Engaging, asking and prompting me to develop a sense of emphaty to those who experience Mental Health. Thanks Podcast

WTM Admin

Yes this understanding liberates our natural empathy within. As THE Interview explains, all humans suffer from the universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. We became angry, egocentric and alienated or in a word ‘upset’ so all humans, to varying degrees, suffer from the human condition and therefore have mental health issues. As the highly respected psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of.” (see FAQ 1.34).

Ann Marie Kelly

T S Elliot’s quote was the perfect summation. I wish this loving state for future generations

WTM Admin

Yes T.S. Eliot’s quote “We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploring / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time” is incredible and sums up the great paradox of the human condition. We humans had to defy our instincts and become corrupted in self in order to find understanding of the human condition. Now with that found we no longer have to wish we can return to a selfless way of living as we can understand our way there, see FAQ 4.3.

Joe Noh

There is no single human condition. There are approx. 7.5 billion different human conditions, and there is no feasible unifying single alignment pattern that will accommodate all of them perfectly neatly, especially when resource availability is an issue. Nothing is likely to be “solved” by starting from an insufficiently accurate description of the terrain.

Gillian

Excellent interview, so enlightening. Thank you so much.

Natalie Webster

How wonderful it would be to have endless love from everyone and life would never be this hard again.x

Jeannette McLachlan

Kindness...gentleness in it’s explanation

Nelda Walker

We are not like animals though though biologically we may be somewhat and furthermore I don’t put much steak in marxism m or Charles Darwin; for my personal love of people comes fcomes from my belief in God and his son who sacrificed all for our redemption!!

David Allen

I listened to the first 15 minutes and to say the introduction was overblown is a severe understatement. There are many assumptions, some quite inaccurate and a bizarre conviction that the world would change. Each point, though some aren’t very specific can be so easily challenged.

WTM Admin

We suggest David, that when people give this fair consideration they discover the substance and integrity of these biological understandings, as the commendations Jeremy Griffith’s work has received from extremely eminent scientists and thinkers attest to. For anyone interested, our FAQ 1.20 outlines ‘What scientific evidence is there for this explanation’. We further suggest that some more fair consideration reveals that the ‘world-saving’ claims made about the work are simply a logical extension of our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated human condition having been explained at last.

Duncan Khathutshelo Seoketsi

This can make the world a living heaven.

Vicki ene' America

Love this! I dove right into the discussion, and wow! I will read your publications from now on. Excellent interviewer as well. A very elevating conversation.

Ronald J MacPherson

A very intriguing and prescient publication on a subject that no one wants to confront. Unfortunately the ones who need to read it probably won’t and we will go on denial as before. I do not , though find the religious implications very convincing since it is belief in nonsensical ideas that contribute directly to the problem.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your consideration Ronald. You might be interested in FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. Also our FAQs about religion explain Jeremy Griffith’s treatise actually reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts.

Joe nagle

Very good.

Rada Olbina

Hi I have listened the whole interview given by Jeremy Griffiths to a British broadcaster. It is interesting but it seems the scientific community does not accept it yet as a scientific break through. As far as I am concerned, I am wondering how the Australian biologist suggests we do change our toxic ways? Individually or globally? He is very careful to stress strongly he is not socialist - he is living in a very conservative society & his research would not be funded I assume. Western societies recognise only individuals & fear society’s actions. Anyway, I am going to follow further developments of Griffiths' idea.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts and questions Rada. Our FAQ 1.14 explains why this explanation isn’t yet mainstream, with the short answer being that the human condition has historically been an off-limits subject, and as a result people can find it difficult to take in or ‘hear’ discussion of it; others can even become hostile to opening the whole arena. This FAQ also explains why the answer to the human condition had to come from outside the mainstream and why we had to establish an independent, not-for-profit organisation to disseminate it (also see FAQ 3.2). But momentum is building; apart from the ecstatic responses, our homepage shows the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world! Also, every day more people join our Facebook Group and register for our live events with Jeremy Griffith to share in this transforming knowledge so we hope you do too!     While this necessarily has a slow start, humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet, including teaching other people about this redeeming information, but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can (see FAQ 1.5)! As Jeremy Griffith explains in his book FREEDOM ch 9:9: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.'”

Judy

Thank you for providing this resource to the world.

Karen Schmidt

Incredibly enlightening. Thank you Jeremy, I hope to apply the freedom and power of the true human condition you so absolutely articulate. Hopefully it can mean true awakening for all us humans.

Karen Roberts

Sorry but this man just keeps saying the same thing over and over and I must be thick but I have no idea what he’s on about..

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your comment Karen. We suggest the very nature of the human condition, the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad, means explanation of it can be initially difficult to access. It has been the most unbearably depressing and terrifying of subjects to face — why are we capable of such contradictory behaviour as to be selfless and loving but also selfish and destructive? Until that question could be answered, which it has in THE Interview, we have lived with a feeling of unworthiness, insecurity, shame and guilt and, necessarily, in almost total denial of the human condition so it does take a while to fully appreciate the extent of our denial and the impact this can have on the way we respond to discussion of it. It may help to watch/read Video/Freedom Essay 1 about this initial ‘deaf effect’ block and hopefully it will encourage your ongoing patience with this information. The summary in FAQ 1.16 might also be helpful.

Aleksandra Bojadjieva

The book you need is the Bible.

Jo

Thank you, my whole body and mind is electric with feeling , appreciation and hope for our future. Please continue to get this message across .This is only the start of something exceptional. I believe .

Ambassador Leonardo Mulaja

Incisive, and absolutionist. Professor Griffith confirms and underscores the anthropogenical propensity of all evil by conscientious humanity. Epistemologically and ontologically lucid

Rasa Prodono

Oh! Thanks a million! God bless you. Thank you.

Ken Groves

I am definitely interested in reading this book I have been ready books about the 2 minds we have but after watching your video I am more than interested Would absolutely love a copy

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest Ken. Jeremy Griffith’s key books, including THE Interview and FREEDOM, are freely available on our homepage here to read online, print and download. You can also purchase hardcopies and download free Kindle versions from Amazon.     You might also be interested in Video/Freedom Essay 4 about other thinkers who have identified a clash between an ancient instinctive part of our brain and the more recently developed intellectual part as being critical to understanding the human condition (including an analysis of Paul MacLean’s triune brain theory). It explains what is unique about Jeremy’s synthesis is he actually solves the dilemma of human condition of ‘why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish?’ by clarifying the difference between the way the intellect and instincts work. That is the great breakthrough his work represents.

stephane Laurencin

Lets hope that the worlleaders ,e mediamagnats , and woarlords could read your book and urgently it could help them to change behaviours. Thanks to communicate the splendid research you have done in search of the truth ...your ideas did struck me alleready when they first appered on internet they give also hope for better times we all need . THanks

Alzamel

Your theory is great , it has been proven 1400 years ago by prophet Mohammed ( pbuh ) . Please read more about him from unbiased sources . Thanks .

WTM Admin

While Mohammed, Buddha and other prophets spoke truthfully about human life, it was all from a pre-scientific view (read a demystification of prophets in FAQ 6.4: ‘What is your definition of a prophet?’).

Gary Powell

Emerentia Forster

I hope it will help all I practice good luck

Louis Sangosse

It was great. I enjoyed it.

Our behaviour, our human condition, comes from inate ability to sin which we are born with. The Bible is the answer to the world’s problem and Jesus death on the cross who died to Pay the penalty for our sin. Not this. I have been a Mental Health Rehabilitation practioner for 40 years and have only ever seen people change their behaviour by accepting Jesus death and resurrection. and live according to His ways. Have been born again and learned to love each other.

Olga

It is great synergy work. Such work requires great erudition. Thank you for the intellectual pleasure. Good luck to you Olga Goncharuk

Luciana Versolatti

Tks for this incredibile interview

is only a wish, it goes again the powerfull people that never let go, good luck with that

WTM Admin

Our FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

Rose Morrell

Mr Griffith hasn’t touched on intellect. Ones IQ are we born with it can it be increased 20 points by education or is it part of our genes. Many in the Asian race are so intelligent as compared to other Races. What is that about? If we all had high intelligence and could figure out how to solve our personal conditions we would be in good shape🫤

WTM Admin

The entirety of THE Interview is about intellect, namely the battle between the emerging power of the conscious mind and our pre-established instincts. This battle caused our intellect to become ‘upset’, and so the problem has not been lack of IQ, it has been that our intellect is defensively angry, egocentric and alienated. With regard to differences between races, at last we can understand that while all humans are now fully conscious and part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged, there are more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups), and there are races that have been more exposed to the battle than others. More sheltered races have more affinity with our instinctive soulful, cooperative way of living and nature, while those who have been in the battle longer ahave had to become more intellectual in order to defend that embattled state. However, most significantly, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentation from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Wow. I don’t consider myself an intellectual, and I struggle to understand what I need to do with all the information here. But, I am going to try and practice this way of thought. I am excited for the future!

Excellent!!!

Charles Terry

Absolutely fascinating! To fully appreciate the importance of this incredible interview and explanation of the Human Condition, I will have to listen again to it a number of times to assimilate as fully as possible what I have just heard. I have never really been a political animal or very religious person. I have long been troubled by where humanity, with its lack of understanding, is taking us. To discover that it seems that there is no need for left or right wings in politics. We should meet in the middle, in love and understanding of one and other. It has whetted my appetite to explore further.

Cathleen C Lapinsky

Enlightening, Helpful

Shelley

Finally some good news! My only hope is that people will listen and take heed. Thank you Mr. Griffith for all the hard work and time you have dedicated to making our world a better place!

Janet Sweeney

I’ve only listend to this for a little time, 2n d attempt...Well I have to say I have brought my 3 children up on my own with unconditional love. Not all of us fall under the explanation this gentleman is giving to the reasons people have turned against each other. There is more like me than isnt, there is so much more good being done by good people than bad people. All I can hear is quote after quote from other people and in no way am I or many other people corrupted. There is corruption but to include us all is very shortsighted

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your comment Janet. The very nature of the human condition, the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad, means explanation of it can be initially difficult to access. Significantly, now our upset state is explained and defended, we can safely re-connect with the human condition in ourselves and the world and bring love or forgiveness to our dark side. In fact the more you digest the explanation, the more you understand that becoming corrupt was an immensely heroic state, not a shameful one.     As Jeremy explains in Freedom Essay 62, “while we humans couldn’t defend our upset corrupted state, we couldn’t afford to admit we were upset. In fact, we spend our whole time putting on a brave face, smiling and carrying on as if there’s nothing basically wrong. We carry on as if there’s nothing basically wrong with ourselves or the world. We say, “I don’t feel alienated or guilty about anything, or suffer from something you call a human condition. I’m fine, what guilt are you talking about, I’m not a guilty person, I’m not alienated. What are you talking about?” [Melbourne WTM Centre co-founder] Sam Akritidis’s brother Ari was saying that when Sam was first trying to get him interested, and Ari got through eventually, but for a long time he said, “Look, I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m not a guilty person or alienated, stick it up your jumper.””     It may help to watch/read Freedom Essay/Video 1 about this initial ‘deaf effect’ block to accessing discussion of the human condition and hopefully it will encourage your ongoing patience with this information. The summary in FAQ 1.16 might also be helpful.

Andrea Bateman

Excellent Interview! Started listening @bedtime & didn’t go to sleep!😊

Fritz Lehmann

Dear Friends 3 weeks ago I came across that Interview and watched it. Then I downloaded the Book Freedom and in the meantime ordered a copy of the book online. I’m from Switzerland so English is not my language. Even though I have a lot of problems reading this incredible information in English and understand not all of it I’m captivated. I can not let it go. I wish this book will be translated in as many languages as possible in my case into German. So many things I can not understand or hopefully not misunderstood which gives me a headache at some of the time. Anyway I’m absolutely sure that this book is one of the most important books ever written I wish I could understand every word of it. I’m starting to change my thinking of humanity and my reaction and understanding of humanity is changing and sometimes tears are rolling down my checks even not really knowing why. I keep on reading in English and hope one day is translated to German. I’m not a highly intelligent human. No Degrees, Titles, an outcast from early childhood but this book will eventually bring me back to EDEN but this time I will know it’s Eden. Thank you Jeremy Griffith for writing this book. Sincerely Fritz

WTM Admin

Dear Fritz, what a beautiful comment, we are so very appreciative of your enthusiasm for Jeremy Griffith’s world-saving understanding of the human condition! You will be happy to learn Jeremy’s books and essays are being translated into many languages around the world, thanks to wonderful efforts from the WTM’s ever-expanding global network of support, and most excitedly our main website is actually available in German at https://www.humancondition.com/de/! It will be interesting to find out when we became this life form with consciousness because we must have been a primitive life at one point. What was our trigger? HSS came to be c400Kya and by 40Kya we were the only humans left. Something happened - what was it? Steve

WTM Admin

In Part 3 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains how consciousness developed some 2 million years ago as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process and refers the viewer to Chapter 7 of his definitive book FREEDOM for a comprehensive explanation — a summary of which is provided in FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’. Since then there has been only one major development going on and that was the psychological one. As more upset examples of Homo emerged they inevitably displaced more innocent, older versions, just as in our own time more ‘primitive’ races have been displaced by the more upset. You might be interested in paragraph 907 of chapter 8:15 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM, which discusses “ this progression in upset, with the more innocent Neanderthals, Denisovans, Flores man and Red Deer Cave people being replaced around this time by more upset modern humans.”

Very informative

Rebecca Roche

I am a retired former mental health therapist and weary after years in private practice. I don’t profess to understand all of the granular details of this work but conceptually I think it’s brilliant. It feels like a missing link. I have so much more to learn. After staying up reading and watching The Interview, I woke this AM with some clarity and enthusiasm. The current state of the “Human Condition” is increasingly depressing and therefore the destruction is swelling before us. I want to read more and find out how we get off this crazy train and what personal actions can be taken. I am appreciative of this work and excited to follow it.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic and informed feedback, Rebecca. It is wonderful that you are appreciating just how accountable and powerful Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation is for our human condition.     We wanted to let you know that the top of our homepage — HumanCondition.com — states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?’ and guides you through the steps to pursue your interest. This includes registering for our free, live, interactive events with Jeremy Griffith and others and joining our booming Facebook Group.

What a perfect explanation of learning about who, what and how we are who we are! Being new to this I am thoroughly engrossed in learning more and more!

Matthew Britton

There is also a Bonobo troop living on the other side of the river from the peaceful Bonobos, who are aggressive. I think human history is a mixture of psychopathic and sympathetic attributes.

WTM Admin

We are not aware of the existence of a troop of bonobos to the north of the Congo River. However, it is certainly true that due to human impact bonobos can find themselves in traumatic situations that can have the effect of making them psychotic. In fact, Professor Harry Prosen, a Patron of the WTM, was famous for therapising a mentally ill bonobo named Brian (see FAQ 1.8). We suggest that the more you digest the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, you will realise that what is presented in THE Interview stacks up, namely that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and that the source of our aggression is a psychosis that has been compounding ever since the instinct and intellect clashed some 2 million years ago.

Antonio

Wonderful. How can I get this book?

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest Antonio. Jeremy Griffith’s key books, including THE Interview and FREEDOM, are freely available on our homepage here to read online, print and download. You can also purchase hardcopies and download free Kindle versions from Amazon.

You totally had me until you said that the Left is the problem. You clearly don’t understand the destructive, authoritarian, male-dominated mindset of the Right in the US. Progressivism IS to repair the world and free us ALL to cooperate.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s work opens up a new way of thinking so it takes a little time to fully absorb this new paradigm and our human condition does present the ultimate paradox. His biological ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition allows us to understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wing. His work certainly doesn’t excuse the right-wing for its corrupting behaviour, nor unfairly focus on the failing of the left, which is that its insistence on ideal behaviour had the effect of oppressing and thus regressing, not progressing, the search for knowledge, but rather brings a profound understanding to both sides which ultimately will bring an end to the whole ugly business of politics. This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics. There is no political agenda in Jeremy’s work. His only focus is to end human suffering at its source by explaining our ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition and reconcile all the issues that impact our lives, be it within politics, the relationship between men and women, and so on; see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

You say that this theory is the work of science, but give no description of the science conducted to investigate it. Tales of bonobos, biblical quotes, quotes from Plato and T.S. Eliot do not comprise a scientific proof. I fear that without the science that you tout as the basis for the theory, all you have is folklore and opinions. I call BS.

WTM Admin

Dear Joe, as Jeremy explains in chapters 2:4 and 2:12 of FREEDOM, human-condition-avoiding, mechanistic, reductionist, deductive science is an extremely limited and compromised form of science. As Templeton Prize-winning biologist Charles Birch, who was Jeremy’s professor of biology at Sydney University, said, “[mechanistic] science can’t deal with subjectivity [the issue of our psychologically distressed condition]…what we were all taught in universities is pretty much a dead end” and “Biology has not made any real advance since Darwin”. Indeed, mechanistic science is now so farcically dishonest and discredited in the public’s mind that many people have lost interest in it to the point of dismissing it as of no real use to us in terms of being able to understand and manage our behaviour! Freedom Essay/Video 14 makes this discreditation very clear.     Thankfully mechanistic science can now be replaced by human-condition-confronting-and-solving, truthful, holistic, inductive science—but of course the established, entrenched, traditional mechanistic scientific paradigm resists this massive paradigm shift. It does this by ignoring the new synthesis, as well as using such outrageously dishonest and irresponsible claims as ‘the new synthesis presents no new data’, is an ‘untestable’ and ‘non-falsifiable’ hypothesis, and is therefore not even science! The same ridiculous accusation was used against Charles Darwin’s Natural Selection synthesis. As is explained in FAQ 1.10, these accusations are transparently false and nothing more than the dying tremors of an old, extremely flawed form of dishonest science that has lived way past its used by date and is rapidly taking humanity to extinction!     And as is explained in FAQ 1.20: “Throughout FREEDOM it is demonstrated how the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation demystifies not just the human condition, but all aspects of human behaviour. It quickly becomes clear that not only are the facts and logic underlying the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation established and unarguable, the theory also has an extraordinary ‘explanatory power’, which is one of the essential qualities of a scientific theory. Indeed, the strength of a scientific theory is related to the diversity of phenomena it can explain. As the physicist Stephen Hawking wrote, ‘A theory is a good theory if it satisfies two requirements: It must accurately describe a large class of observations on the basis of a model that contains only a few arbitrary elements, and it must make definite predictions about the results of future observations’ (A Brief History Of Time, 1988). The evolutionary biologist Stephen J. Gould was applying a similar methodology to Hawking’s when he argued that Darwin’s theory of natural selection pointed to the coordination of so many pieces of evidence that no other configuration other than his theory could offer a conceivable explanation, and that in this way natural selection has, in effect, been proven (The Structure of Evolutionary Theory, 2002). Jeremy’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ theory is very similar to Darwin’s in its ability to coordinate so many pieces of evidence that it is clearly the only conceivable explanation, in this case, for the human condition. For example, it directly explains why humans are angry, egocentric and alienated, but in doing so also explains human development, the hominid fossil record, why science has been mechanistic, the relationship between men and women, sex as humans practice it, the role of nurturing, the source of our morality, why bonobos are the most cooperative of all extant apes, why humans are the only animal to develop consciousness, the divide between children and adults, teenage angst, racism, materialism, politics, political correctness, culture (including art, humour and swearing), the alarming growth in mental disease, all manner of mythology (e.g. Adam and Eve, Judgment Day, Prometheus, Noah’s Ark), the practice of religion, Christ, the development of order in the universe, what we mean by ‘God’, and much more.”      It really is at the 11th hour that the often highly intellectualised, sophisticated-in-the-art-of-denial, pretentious, makes-it-seem-like-unreachable-knowledge-for-the-average-person, scientific presentations from the ivory towers of human-condition-avoiding academia are at last replaced by truthful, sensible, fully accountable, relatively simple and straightforward, soul-ualised not intellect-ualised scientific presentations, which is what FREEDOM provides for the human race.

Bingo. Nailed it. End the madness that we are living in. It’s what every human longs for. I am by no means a scholar, writer, a thinker, this is quite simple really. We all suffer from a pre fabricated human condition that needs to be re wired. It was /is not real. We are not evil. We do not have to kill each other, steal or bully. There is no true evil. There is only love freedom understanding compassion. Only my second evening reading and listening to videos 1234. But it’s wat I will do for at least 6 months straight as I have a poor memory. I want to sponge this into my mind body and soul I want to tell others I want to meet more of the believers that the resent human condition will be the end of our species. let go and be free. Thank you very much. i feel like I am floating

in the second segment; the foundation of his interpretation of the Genesis story is objectively incorrect: wether you believe it or not, the bible does NOT call it “the tree of knowledge” nor is it the “fruit of knowledge” … it is called “the tree of the fruit of knowledge of Good and evil”. the removal of that caveat changes the entire understanding of what this person is attempting to convey: Adam HAD knowledge.. it’s said his first task was to take dominion over all the earth and subdue it, and also to name the animals, etc. it wasn’t a matter of having knowledge it was a matter of innocence of morality: so the bible is not coloring “knowledge” as evil… but having understanding of morality takes away innocence, it’s an entirely different meaning. and anyone who has had a child has seen the duality of intellect and innocence.. a human can grow in intellect while maintains innocence for a time. so in short (too late i know) the account in genesis does not add support to the ideology he’s espousing

WTM Admin

We suggest that the more you consider the interpretation of the Garden of Eden story given in THE Interview, the clearer it becomes that it is a metaphor for the emergence of the conscious mind in the presence of pre-established loving instincts, and how the conscious mind was in effect ‘condemned’ by those instincts, and as a result became angry, egocentric and alienated.     To quickly focus on your criticism that the metaphor really refers to knowledge “of innocence of morality” rather than knowledge per se, it is worth pointing out that scholars have long interpreted ‘the tree of knowledge of good and evil’ to mean knowledge of everything rather than simply ‘knowledge of morality’. For example, in his book Genesis, the Old Testament scholar Claus Westermann wrote that the phrase “knowledge of good and evil” is: “… concerned with knowledge (or wisdom) in the general, comprehensive sense. Any limitation of the meaning of “the knowledge of good and evil” is thereby excluded. It can mean neither moral nor sexual nor any other partial knowledge, but only that knowledge which includes and determines human existence as a whole, [the ability to master]… one’s own existence.” Similarly, in The Bible and The Near East, the Professor of Old Testament Literature J.J.M. Roberts explains that “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” does not necessarily denote a moral concept, but that the concept may be understood to mean a tree whose fruit imparts knowledge of everything.     Again, we suggest that the meaning of the the metaphor of eating the fruit from “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” is that we became conscious, and had to search for knowledge, with the ultimate knowledge being knowledge of our ‘good and evil’ afflicted condition. As Richard Heinberg wrote in the quote included in THE Interview: “Every religion begins with the recognition that human consciousness has been separated from the divine Source, that a former sense of oneness…has been lost…everywhere in religion and myth there is an acknowledgment that we have departed from an original…innocence…the cause of the Fall is described variously as disobedience, as the eating of a forbidden fruit, and as spiritual amnesia [alienation].”

The favourite thesis that our species is evil and needs rescuing gets reframed to turn us all into psychotics needing treatment. Let’s considered a thorough examination of our evolution, including developing awareness of the consequences of our actions. Why don’t you interview the author of Megafauna: first victims of the human-caused extinction.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts, Delphine. Rather than condemning humans as ‘evil’, this understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to return to a loving state!
