This is very uplifting, looking forward to reading more.

Amos Bongani Khumalo

This narrative is very important to the human race for the better understanding of our existence and purpose

Maxayn L.

The gentleman’s perspective is completely based on avoidance of Racism created and developed by white people, against all non- whites. This side-step invalidates his argument. Racism was completely conceived in the conscious mind, and coupled with Hate.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition establishes the equality of all humans and brings compassionate and thus safe understanding to ALL of human behaviour — including why the horror of racism has existed under the duress of the human condition and, most importantly, finally brings it to an end, see FAQ 9.1 ‘How do you explain racism?’. Also, for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molosiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8, which includes the following extraordinary statement: "From my own experience [says Franklin Mukakanga] I can say with absolute certainty that, as the word gets out, FREEDOM will provide the key to healing poor or strained ‘race relations’ throughout the world. Basically, this understanding of the human condition will end all prejudices, like racism, forever."

What a wake up call. Explanation is spot on.

Jack Kneass

Wow this guy is Soooo in denial of the almighty God. When I see all these comments it saddens me because I’m seeing a group of humans of which God has not touched. Through this group it’s only logical to think that some of them will experience a Godly act. Of course his explanation sounds perfectly logical but so simplified .....it’s insulting.....we were never monkeys your all part of the herd so easily freed from moral burden. It’s sad.

I’m very impressed being free from chains its amazing

I’ve been so miserable since my teenage years watching mankind destroy itself. I’m not far of 60 years now. This is the first glimmer of hope of mankind finding healing through knowledge found through science. Previous civilisations failed to heal in time let this be the one that does

WTM Admin

Thank you Marion. The world has certainly endured unthinkable misery and devastation and yes this is the scientific knowledge we need to stop such destruction and heal mankind. What is so significant about now being able to understand the human conditon is that it defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour! To quote Jeremy Griffith from Part 1: “Basically suffering psychological upset was the price we conscious humans had to pay for our heroic search for understanding. In the words from the song The Impossible Dream from the musical the Man of La Mancha, we had to be prepared to ‘march into hell for a heavenly cause’ (lyrics by Joe Darion, 1965). We had to lose ourselves to find ourselves; we had to suffer becoming angry, egocentric and alienated until we found sufficient knowledge to explain ourselves.” We encourage you to visit our Transformation page which presents Jeremy’s new presentation The Great Transformation, which gives a concise description of how the psychological rehabilitation of humans occurs, and how everyone’s life can immediately be transformed!!

Edgar Valenzuela

Oh man great so far

Tammy McDonald

A lot to take in.

Glynn Johnson

Thank you for your knowledge it was very informative I knew a lot of this but hearing new or in a new way I really enjoyed seeing your interview thank you again

WTM Admin

Wonderful to have your interest Glynn! Yes, as Jeremy Griffith discusses in Part 4 of this interview, despite our competitive and selfish behaviour we humans have always intuitively known we were fundamentally good, but we have never been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we are fundamentally good—answer the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. In summary, the eternal battle for humans has been to validate ourselves, establish once and for all that we are fundamentally good and not bad, and it’s that deepest and most important of all battles that has finally been won. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source, see FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is this important to my life’.

WTM Admin

The human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad, and our fear of going anywhere near this fundamental question creates this resistance and initial ‘deaf effect’ which makes ‘hearing’ the explanation difficult. We recommend Jeremy’s presentation The Great Guilt which causes the Deaf Effect which explains this initial resistance. Also Video/Freedom Essay 11 which includes some very powerful quotes from people who have overcome their personal deaf effect. So it can take a little patience to access just how all-clarifying, all-redeeming and all-liberating this information is but it’s well worth it Tammy as you can see from the daily ecstatic responses on our homepage — people everywhere are so relieved to finally be able to make sense of human life!!

Timothy R McDaniel

Light bulb moment, may you shine, in the light always, an a blessing of health, for your people, an long life, to spread your truth . Thank you, in love/light.

Humankind evolved from Chimpanzees, not Bobobos. While matriarchal societies, like Bonobos seem ideal, humans, like most mammals, are evolved from a patriarchal chimpanzee society, where masculine traits were rewarded - ie the dominant male fights other males and wins the prize. I.e., the power to reproduce.

WTM Admin

All the evidence is that we come from a cooperative, gentle bonobo-like heritage. Jeremy Griffith discusses in Part 2, and in more detail in his definitive book FREEDOM (chapter 5), that the cooperative and gentle bonobo represent a far better model of our human ancestors than the common chimpanzee. Both share approximately 99% of their DNA with humans, however bonobo physiology, bipedality, environment, intelligence and reduced canine size, better match our human ancestors. Reduced canine size is particularly relevant as it is arguably the outstanding features of the hominin clade, and universally accepted as an indication of reduced aggression. Fossil evidence of our cooperative past, including reduced canines, has lead the prominent anthropologist C. Owen Lovejoy to write that “our species-defining cooperative mutualism can now be seen to extend well beyond the deepest Pliocene [well beyond 5.3 mya]”. No, our selfishness and aggression is not instinctive in origin; all the evidence shows that our instinctive heritage is cooperate.     Without the defence of our aggressive behaviour we have not been able to admit how cooperative our heritage is, and therefore how entirely cooperative and loving our instincts are. However, we now have that redeeming biological defence of our condition, and with that defence, it does become very clear that the idea that we have savage instincts is just an excuse that we used; so we disagree that the savage instincts idea is “discarded” rather this critical new science disproves it with evidence of our cooperative and moral instincts. You might be interested in FAQ 5.2 ‘What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’

Terry holland

The enemy with in. Early years after being born seem to me to be crucial. Nurturing at birth from the mother the greatest love of all. With out it can be sociologicaly damaging for the rest of our lives. I think through understanding gives reconciliation.

WTM Admin

Yes, ‘understanding brings about reconciliation’! In Part 1 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains all humans are born with an instinctive self or soul that is perfectly aligned to a cooperative and selfless way of living, and that humans’ upset (angry, egocentric and alienated) behaviour is not a product of savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by the unavoidable clash between our instinct and intellect. With this compassionate understanding of the human condition we can now appreciate that humanity’s necessary preoccupation with finding knowledge compromised our ability to nurture our children to the extent their instincts expect, but now that that preoccupation ends we can safely acknowledge the absolute importance of nurturing in our species’ development (see also Freedom Essay 21) and in the individual development of children (see chapter 8:16C of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM). Also, to quote chapter 6:13 of FREEDOM titled, Nurturing now becomes a priority: “now that we have found that very good reason why parents have been unable to nurture their children with anything like the unconditional love children instinctively expect and need, it is no longer necessary to deny the importance of nurturing both in the maturation of our species and in our own lives. Yes, with the arrival of understanding the terrible guilt that parents have felt for not being able to adequately nurture their offspring departs. Parents can now understand that their inability to adequately love their offspring is not their fault, but the product of the ever-accumulating levels of upset in the human race as a whole that resulted from our species’ heroic 2-million-year search for knowledge, specifically for self-knowledge, understanding of why we conscious humans are good and not bad. So yes, we can finally now admit the importance of nurturing and turn our attention back to the nurturing of our offspring—in fact, it now becomes a matter of great urgency that we do both these things.”

R Navarro

One World cooperation is what we need.

WTM Admin

Yes, but the only way we could bring about that “one world” of “cooperation” was through solving the underlying insecurity that was causing us to be divisive and selfish! It is that fundamental answer that Jeremy Griffith provides with the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition, that finally allows our species to legitimately end our defiant behaviour, and brings about the cooperative, loving world we have all longed for.

Remarkably presented..should be required reading in all schools

VIJAY KARIA

This was a fascinating podcast. Though it seemed simple and straightforward it is a very complex and difficult area to come to grip with.

WTM Admin

Thanks Vijay. Yes, even though the instinct vs intellect concept is actually very simple, we humans have lived in such fear and denial of our corrupted condition that we can find it difficult to ‘hear’ or take in discussion of it. For people new to this concept, we recommend Jeremy’s recent presentation The Great Guilt, which explains this ‘Deaf Effect’ in depth.

Thomas Nkosi

From the comments I have no choice but to get my self a copy of the book.

WTM Admin

Please pursue that interest Thomas, you won’t be disappointed! Our homepage — HumanCondition.com — provides a wonderful road map to progress with all our key material, including Jeremy’s books FREEDOM and THE Interview, made freely available. Also our Facebook Group provides a wonderful platform for participating in, or just observing, interesting and exciting discussion with others about how we can live with this critical new science.

Bruce Knowling

Interesting to say the least! Including the request above about this science, that “appreciative” comments are requested. It would be good to have a vigorous discussion about the concepts presented here. Communism, New age & etc have been rightly said in this video to have not gone far enough in explaining and solving the human condition. Let me say that neither does this. My grandfather 80 years ago believed this same thing; that knowledge and education would solve the world’s problems, i.e. the human condition. However we have it staring in our face eighty years later, that knowledge has not solved, but seemingly exacerbated this human condition. Jeremy Griffith now needs to discover; 1. the reason why, even in the face of the knowledge of what is right and proper, us humans throw over the rational thought for good and maintain a corrupt heart, in choosing to do what we know is wrong. 2. How to get us humans a new heart. The answer has been staring us in the face since the time of Adam, for it is not only there that we find the problem so elegantly raised, but the promise also of the solution, the solution that the world has always wanted to deny.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts Bruce. There are thousands of comments to scroll through on this thread but they do reflect a fair representation of the feedback we receive. This includes counter opinion, and critical and negative feedback, however we do reserve the right to moderate the comments to ensure the thread is as constructive as possible. THE Interview is an introductory presentation, and the human condition is a huge subject, so it makes sense that more in depth treatments of particular aspects are dealt with elsewhere on our comprehensive website with its many freely available books (including Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM) essays and FAQs that can be easily searched electronically. We suggest Jeremy does answer your two questions. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here and his book FREEDOM; see FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of this critical new science.

Oscar

If only the leaders of the world could really understand what we all really want it will be heaven on earth

WTM Admin

There is a lot to absorb here Oscar, but now we can understand the human condition we can see that everyone has suffered from it, and all our institutions, including our leaders and governments, have been a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition can stop the destruction of our world that is happening everywhere we look and bring about the transformation we all long for. You may find FAQ 1.40 helpful as it addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Elizabeth Seiler

Not sure I understand completely but I feel hopeful for myself, for all of humanity. It has given me a more positive way to review my life choices and another way to look at what is happening in the world today. I am anxious to learn more.

WTM Admin

It is wonderful THE Interview is resonating with you Elizabeth. Understanding the human condition presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking so it does take a little time to fully grasp its implications, but it does give us an entirely new framework of knowledge in which to view ourselves and the world and it sounds like that is what you are discovering! At the top of our homepage, at HumanCondition.com, it states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?’, and it provides a map which guides you through the steps to learn more. This includes subscribing to our free mailing list and joining our popular Facebook Group, where there is much profound and exciting discussion happening!

Ikhlaq

An excellent interview and brilliant insight into human behaviour. Thank you very much guys

Mlondi

I am experiencing an overwhelmingly strange sense of relief. One that is totally divorced from the materialistically associated feelings I’ve ever felt. This is not just a spiritual discovery or realization that we as humans have made, but it is a therepeutic and redemptive ‘silver bullet’ that we desperatetly needed as a human race, if we are to live happily ever after, as it were.

Rick Campbell

Makes perfect sense and I hope we can change the way we see ourselves and others.

Patrick Francis

this was a amazing discussion of the human behavior of the human condition This can absolutely change the way we think in our mind the things should do and not to do this is extremely good lessons and attributes of life in general this definitely alters our perspective of our human condition in which as our mind should be evolvoing to progression to stable psychological Gateway to a better progressive society In essence cohesive community life style

WTM Admin

Thank you for your wonderful comment Patrick. Yes only by solving the human condition could we authentically return to a cohesive way of living. This is what is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise — it actually defends the conscious mind for becoming so divisive and unstable. That is the great paradox of the human condition – we humans had to defy our cooperative instincts and become corrupted in self in order to find understanding of the human condition. Now with that found we can at last reconcile our divides selves and become “psychologically stable”. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race, see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding the human condition solve everything’.

Mary Ann

Yes I hear a truth that I have always known but it was hidden away in my subconscious only intermittently peeking and poking out. Thank you for clarifying a truth I know. Thank you! Thank you!

WTM Admin

Yes Mary Ann as Jeremy Griffith discusses in Part 4 of this interview despite our competitive and selfish behaviour, we humans have always intuitively known we were fundamentally good, but we have never been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we are fundamentally good—answer the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work and that is the great biological breakthrough, or “clarifying truth” as you say, Jeremy presents here.

Xolani Amos

When I thought there could never be a transformation to change the world’s mindset about burning issues of livelihood I am speechless and hyped up with hope for CHANGE in the whole world...

WTM Admin

Yes Xolani, the cavalry has arrived armed with the redeeming understanding! As THE Interview explains it was only through finding the good reason that we had to defy our cooperative and loving instinctive self or soul, that all our ‘bad’ competitive and aggressive behaviour or ‘mindset’, and all the manifestations of that like inequality and poverty, could change and the transformation of the world could begin. For readers of these comments the transformation is explained in Part 4 of THE Interview ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’ and is dealt with in greater depth on the Transformation section of our website.

Debraoneill

Totally makes sense to the way that I have been thinking most of my life and I also think that the government and society has had a lot to do with that also thank you

WTM Admin

It’s wonderful to have your interest Debra. There is a lot to absorb, which takes a little time, but now we can understand the human condition, we can see that everyone has suffered from it, and our societies and governments, have been a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition, addressing the source of our selfish psychological upset, could we achieve real and lasting change and stop the destruction of our world that is happening everywhere we look. You may find these FAQs helpful, FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding solve everything’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power?’

Harry Dilks

Very interesting, Thanks

Richard Davies

This is very true I have done it myself it works you need to believe it had been amazing transformation for me, I did it you too can do it. But with professional guidance at all times. It’s not over night it was very logical the way it really took care of the process in auto drive. Took me 3 weeks .

WTM Admin

Hi Richard, thank you for your comment and it is wonderful you have found this understanding so helpful and transformative. We aren’t sure what professional guidance you are referring as the WTM does not provide any professional counselling. However, in terms of the transformed way of living explanation of the human condition leads to, we can at last understand that we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth, and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because now we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page which is a must visit! We can at last understand the source of our psychological upset and trauma and bring great compassion to ourselves and others and, most significantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us which is an integral part of the transformation — as our FAQ 4.1 and FAQ 1.19 explain. So, as you are finding, this is immensely relieving but it introduces an entirely new framework of knowledge, a massive paradigm shift in how we view ourselves, so we recommend people take it slowly and not rush ahead in themselves and let the logical process of understanding naturally unfold as you express so well.

peter challen

Such profundity, so clearly articulated may yet redeem the dire crisis if enough of us encourage others to make time to absorb and digest the implications of this address for the behavior of each of us from now on in. Heidi

We are created in God’s image and GOD is LOVE. Which means we are LOVE. Circumstances around us while growing up made us dysfunctional and we grew away from LOVE. We need to get rid of all our anger and grow back into our origanal purpose which is LOVE

WTM Admin

Yes, “God is love”, and yes, “we are created in God’s image” in the sense that our species did have a loving and cooperative past, but with biological understanding of the human condition we can at last bring rational understanding to what exactly that means. With the redeeming explanation of humans’ divisively behaved human condition, we can at last afford to demystify ‘God’ as Integrative Meaning. You can read more about how ‘God’ is our personification of Integrative Meaning in FAQ 6.2.     Most importantly, with the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition presented here, we now have the source origin of all the “circumstances” that cause us to grow up “dysfunctional” and “away from love”. This ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash is where it all started. And through finding the good reason that we had to defy our instincts, we can finally “get rid of our anger” and act with love and compassion, because only now are all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defence for why we had to defy our instincts.

I would like to understand more about past (golden age), and present (not golden age) and Future (how it would be) as the consequences of day to day human thoughts, memories, research, and practices,

WTM Admin

Understanding the clash between our emerging intellect and pre-established instincts is the key to understanding our past, present and future. You might be interested in Freedom Essay 4, where Jeremy Griffith quotes and explains the works of some of history’s great thinkers on the topic of our species’ past. For example, Jeremy writes about the ancient Greek poet Hesiod: “Hesiod…in approximately 800 BC wrote this about our species’ pre-conscious time: ‘When gods alike and mortals rose to birth / A golden race the immortals formed on earth…Like gods they lived, with calm untroubled mind / Free from the toils and anguish of our kind / Nor e’er decrepit age misshaped their frame…Strangers to ill, their lives in feasts flowed by…Dying they sank in sleep, nor seemed to die / Theirs was each good; the life-sustaining soil / Yielded its copious fruits, unbribed by toil / They with abundant goods ’midst quiet lands / All willing shared the gathering of their hands.’ So yes, they didn’t have a troubled conscious mind, and they lived a sharing, gentle life. Hesiod also recounted how this ‘Golden Age’ came to an end, telling how Prometheus stole fire—which, as I’ll explain shortly, represents consciousness—from his fellow Gods and gave it to humans for their use…”     With regard to the world that having understanding of the human condition brings about, as Jeremy says in Part 4 of THE Interview, “while it will take a number of generations to heal all the upset in us humans, everyone can immediately live free of their upset. The reason we can live free of it is that while we lacked the real defence and reinforcement of understanding of our corrupted condition, we absolutely needed the artificial defences and reinforcements of attacking any criticism of our corrupted condition, of denying and blocking it out, and of finding any positive reinforcement we could—anger, alienation and egocentricity are what sustained us—but now that we have the real defence and reinforcement of our fundamental goodness, all these artificial defences and reinforcements are obsoleted, they are no longer needed.”

Lukas

I tried but don’t get it ...

WTM Admin

Thank you for your candour Lukas. As THE Interview explains, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can initially make it hard to understand what is explained. We suggest you watch the new companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect (here on our website) as it provides astonishing clarification of why lifting The Great Burden Of Guilt from the human race causes most people to initially experience such difficulty. We hope you persevere Lukas because if you watch The Great Guilt it includes examples of people overcoming the deaf effect and shows why being patient through this obstacle is well worth the time!

Barbara

Thank You 🙏

Hennie Pieterse

In hindsight it seems so obvious and yet the truth is so simple yet utterly profound. If I had to summarize it in one sentence it would be, “Gaining self awareness caused us to stop following the path our genetic programming demanded which sparked a war within ourselves”. It is much deeper than that though, so watch the video and read the books (optional) if you seek understanding. It won’t cost you anything but a bit of your time but it might just change everything.

Stanley Lutui Tom

Shawn Mullins sang, “born to shimmer born to shine born to radiate born to live born to love but we will TEACH THEM HOW TO HATE”. This is a great talk spoken by a very well presented and educated person though the question for me is “what are we actually going to do about”? Because quite frankly if all we’re going to do is sit, listen and understand then it seems kind of a waste of time and effort that has been put towards this subject.

WTM Admin

We can now see that it’s not a case of being ‘taught to hate’, but that hate is a manifestation of our psychologically upset state, which in turn is a result of the instinct vs intellect clash.     With regard to “what are we actually going to do about it?”, the more you digest this understanding, the more that psychologically upset state subsides. Knowing why the intellect was right to defy our instinctive self makes all our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and anger, redundant. And so ‘understanding’ is anything but a waste of time - it is actually the key to freeing ourselves from the human condition. As Jeremy says in Freedom Essay 15, “It is this particular undeniable consequence of the arrival of understanding of the human condition of the transformation of our lives from living selfishly and competitively to living selflessly and cooperatively that is going to eventually catch on as being the right response now for everyone and when it does, it will spread like wildfire across our planet, and save the world. And it is not a revolution that involves warfare and bloodshed like so many revolutions in the past, but a peaceful revolution that is driven by irrefutable knowledge/understanding. We humans are conscious beings and what consciousness needs is understanding, and now we have it. Ultimately, we humans respond to knowledge—anything less was bound to be ineffective. This is the real and lasting transformation that the human race has lived in hope, faith and trust would one day occur. It is the revolution of our minds.”

Manuel Lopez

I have read many books in my entire life moreover the Bible for personal and spiritual development and all concur that human beings have divine nature which lies dormant deep within their souls. Your scientific discovery further reminds us that we all need to come together irrespective of race, colour, gender, nationality or religion to rediscover and restore our inherent divine spiritual nature to overcome social ills and tensions which cause many unnecessary human suffering and ultimately could lead to third nuclear world war. This discovery could be vital and instrumental in redirecting humans towards a new path which will lead to everlasting peaceful and harmonious coexistence.

WTM Admin

Yes, although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life, which is the source of our “divine nature” as you put it; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest.

Absolutely! And what is so astonishing about Jeremy Griffith’s work is it provides the long-sought-after, biological answer to the riddle of human nature – why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, we are so angry, competitive and selfish?

Yes I’m feeling this, lovely to see a positive outcome for us all, thinking of generations to come, it’s our responsibility to set the new path of thinking 🤔

George John Leon Webster

I’ve tried to find a single example of the success of this nebulous claim Lots of endorsements but if it’s so good why hasn’t there been proof of the so called change in humanity? And I’m psychologist open minded but... !!?!

WTM Admin

There is nothing “nebulous" about what is being claimed here. By explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts (which is that genes can orientate but nerves need to understand) our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation are made redundant, which means humanity can finally legitimately return to a cooperative and loving state. In Part 4 of THE Interview, Jeremy explains how the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible, actually occurs.     Obviously, as with any new scientific breakthrough in history, it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, once this information gets a foothold through enough people developing a deep appreciation and desire to support it, the selfless love and energy that will generate will solve our problems very quickly because, as THE Interview explains, instead of being selfishly preoccupied with power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world.     Even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview. You can also see many genuine Affirmations on our Transformation page. Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

Yes, Our Own Mind is our greatest enemy.

WTM Admin

Thanks, Michael, for your comment. It is important to clarify that rather than “Our Own Mind [being] our greatest enemy” the opposite is actually true; we can now understand that the conscious mind was right, or ‘good’, to defy our instinctive self, in order to fulfil its great potential to find knowledge, ultimately understanding of the human condition. Fundamentally, having found the good, indeed heroic, reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our selfish, uncaring behaviours (our insecurity, anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant and we can legitimately love ourselves and each other again. This is the essence of the transformation that this breakthrough makes available.

Extraordinary. A must read. Don’t miss the boat!

Great to hear the experts on humans. I have always said “ humans will never get on with humans and will be their down fall, Humans will destroy humans and the life on this planet. ”

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment Jeremy; what takes a little time to absorb is we can now understand that having to become psychologically upset and carry the burden of guilt we felt for having to corrupt our amazingly beautiful soul and planet was the responsible thing to do while we continued the search for knowledge. What is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise is that it actually defends the conscious mind for becoming so alienated from our loving instinctive self, so destructive and murderous with rage. That is the great paradox of the human condition – we humans had to defy our instincts and become corrupted in self in order to find understanding of the human condition. Now with that found we can at last reconcile our divided selves and become sound managers of ourselves and our planet. So why is the human conditon still troubled even in cultures where humanity is viewed as fundamentally good? And are you not aware that bonobos fight just like other animals? Sorry, this theory is illogical and your movement will go nowhere.

WTM Admin

The answer to your first question is that the instinct vs intellect clash, and the burden of guilt it created, lies much deeper than a culture’s ‘view of humanity’. As Jeremy Griffith explains in his presentation The Great Guilt, if we stand back and think about our original cooperative, selfless and loving state and then think about how competitive, selfish and aggressive we humans are now, the contrast between the two states couldn’t be greater. And if we think about that extreme contrast and then think about the situation we have been stuck in for some 2 million years where we haven’t been able to explain our so-called ‘fall from grace’, the corruption of our original all-sensitive and all-loving, innocent instinctive self or soul, then how deeply traumatised with guilt and shame must we humans have been all that time! Certainly, we learnt to block the horror of this situation out of our mind, but that has been the underlying psychological predicament we humans have been enduring.      With regard to bonobos, while there are rare instances of sexual opportunism and aggression, all the evidence is that they are in fact extraordinarily peaceful and cooperative. Chapter 5 of Jeremy Griffith’s book FREEDOM further evidences what is explained in Part 3 of THE Interview about how cooperative and loving bonobos are. For example, there are no recorded examples of killing in the wild, which is completely different to chimpanzees. What’s more, the evidence reveals that on the basis of physiology, bipedality, environment, intelligence and reduced canine size, that the cooperative and gentle bonobo clearly represents a better model of our human ancestors than the chimpanzee (this evidence is presented in detail in chapter 5 of FREEDOM).

Beautiful story of evolution continued beyond the old testament

WTM Admin

Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition brings biological, evolutionary understanding to religious accounts of our condition. For instance, as THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were actually ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. Amazing ❤️ 👏

Inga

I will read the book. But for now I wanna thank You Jeremy for interview that transformed me already! We all are good and were so close, we intuitively felt it, but only You found way to explain...2000000 years took to be in this point...2 days since I saw your interview and I feel I’m finally came back home. I thank also myself and my intellect for let in this great truth! My dad made suicide 3 years ago and I’m getting well after 3 stage of cancer and this is that moment what explains me everything. My mind still scared a bit, but transformation process is unstoppable.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much, Inga, for your wonderfully appreciative feedback to Jeremy Griffith’s work, in the wake of the loss of your father and as you recover from cancer. The human condition has been such a deeply, deeply tragic journey which has caused so much mental pain and anguish. What is so significant about Jeremy’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition — which is what you are profoundly relating to — is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because that core goodness as individuals and as a species that “we intuitively felt” has been biologically established. We can understand humans’ psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. We can at last understand the source of our upset and trauma and bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and, most significantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us which is an integral part of the transformation — as our FAQs 1.4 and 1.19 explain. Also, as you are finding, this is immensely relieving but it introduces an entirely new framework of knowledge, a massive paradigm shift in how we view ourselves and our world, so we recommend people take it slowly and not rush ahead in themselves as it does take time to fully digest and integrate such a shift in thinking. We send you all our very best wishes for your continued recovery, Inga, and thank you again for sharing your wonderful feedback.

So absolutely spot on cos we cannot continue in our aggressive states and think we can be creative and fruitful human beings. We must become transformed individuals. Sounds like this biologist has a different way to approach this subject. Thanks
