It’s wonderful to have your interest Craig! The best place to start is to watch THE Interview, in which biologist Jeremy Griffith presents his breakthrough ‘instinct v intellect’ explanation of the human condition, it’s the ideal introduction to his work. It’s at the top of the WTM homepage HumanCondition.com where you will also see the ecstatic daily responses it is receiving. You may also like to subscribe to our mailing list where you will receive one email per week, occasional News Flashes, and notifications for our Live Events. A lot to take on board, needing more contemplation.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Ann and yes there is a lot to take on board now we are finally able to understand the human condition!! What biologist Jeremy Griffith is presenting is a new scientific paradigm based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition which entirely changes the way we view ourselves and the world. Even though, as Craig Conway observes in this interview, the fundamental genes vs nerves argument is extraordinarily simple it is “so far-reaching in its ramifications” so we encourage people to re-watch THE Interview and also watch the other three introductory videos which are here on our homepage. Also our extensive FAQ facility is very helpful as it provides answers to commonly asked questions. Sending you lots of encouragement Ann and if we can help you with questions or thoughts you’d like to share please contact us via our contact facility.

What is the this program, organization proposing to accomplish??
It appears to go for a very long time, giving great reference. But we still do not understand what this intends to achieve...
WTM Admin
THE Interview with biologist Jeremy Griffith presents the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing biological understanding of the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition—thus ending all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map for the complete rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world! Also, the work of the World Transformation Movement (WTM) is a scientific pursuit and was not created for profit, so all of our information and materials (including books, videos and podcasts) are provided absolutely free of charge on our website.
While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), opening up the underlying issue in all human affairs of the human condition does mean that there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered, which make up Parts 2, 3 & 4 of THE Interview. However, FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.
Also Chris, since what is being introduced is a new scientific paradigm based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition it can make it hard to understand all that is explained in one viewing (FAQ 1.16 explains this initial ‘deaf effect’). Wonderfully this can be overcome with patient perserverance, as is evidenced by the growing momentum of support that is building around the world which can be seen on our homepage with daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview, outstanding commendations Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thought leaders and over 80 WTM Centres that have opened across the globe!

So the “flower children” of the 60s is an example of a loving peaceful and cooperative family of people. So much love. So little regard to how the world is at this time
WTM Admin
Hi Karen, firstly it is important to clarify that Jeremy Griffith’s work is not an idealistic plea for utopia or for everyone to just behave cooperatively, it is a biological defence of realism. THE Interview explains why imposing artificial or pseudo idealism does not work and further explains pseudo-idealism in its current forms now actually threatens humanity because, as Jeremy explains in Part 4, it “stifled and oppressed the search for the understanding of our corrupted condition that was needed to actually free us from that state”. And it is that understanding of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition that Jeremy presents. Until we had this solution reality did appear very complicated and we couldn’t see what was driving our mind but now we can. We can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.5.
Also, in terms of your mention of “the flower children of the 60s” the following is an extract from Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM chapter 8:16A which you may like to read in full here. To quote: “...With understanding of the human condition now found the great rehabilitation of the human race from its alienated state can begin, and one of the important means to achieve that rehabilitation will be to reconnect humans with the world of their soul, which is the natural world... In the 1960s many people tried to undertake the healing process that requires reconnecting with nature. They abandoned the alienated and alienating, soul-destroying cities and tried to return to the natural world. Of course, without the explanation of the human condition that would make it possible to stop having to live a denial-based, escapist, hide-from-condemning-nature-in-cities existence, this great ‘alternative’, ‘hippie’, ‘flower power’, ‘let the sunshine in’, ‘back to nature’ revolution was a false start back to innocence and wholeness. Nevertheless, the initiatives that were being taken accurately anticipated the direction the rehabilitation of the human race needed to, and now can, take. Yes, we have to leave the alienated and alienating cities and dust off the Whole Earth Catalog and other 1960s masterpieces of new world planning and begin the real ‘Age of Aquarius’... We have found all the truth now that genuinely releases us from the binds of the human condition. As will be described in the final chapter of this book, what now emerges on Earth is not another messy, deluded false start to humanity’s freedom from the human condition, but the real, genuinely loving one."

I learned a lot from this topic in regards with human behavior and how to handle them good pointers to added to my knowledge. I could apply on dealing with different human behaviors.
Oreoco Tenders
It’s important to understand the source of psychopathic behavior and the characteristics effects on the human behavior and how to deal with this kind of human behavior.
WTM Admin
Yes Oreoco it is and at last we can. As THE Interview explains all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour, including extreme states of egocentricity and narcissism, known as psychopaths or power addicts. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’
Moses Kazimalupya Banda
This is very uplifting and dispels all theories of race imbalances
WTM Admin
Absolutely Moses! Jeremy Griffith’s work addresses the source of the endless horrific-beyond-description examples in history of racism and prejudice, and, significantly, because Jeremy’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition establishes the equal worth of all humans we can now acknowledge the differences between us and bring desperately needed reconciling understanding to the relationships between all groups of people. To explore this further we recommend our Freedom Essay 28, ‘The end of racism’ and for testimonials on the power of this information to end racism, see those from Franklin Mukakanga, founder of WTM Zambia and Refentse Molosiwa, founder of WTM Mahikeng, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

It’s very astonishing and so incredible to hear this. Its amazing 👏
Martha Reyes Vila
From the beginning of the interview I believe there is no difference about others religion and philosophy what is not really a discovery cause Buddhism explain the human behavior as a result of our actions and the explanation about Adan and Eve as in terms of innocence is probably because they were happy and when they discovered the truth about the knowledge of themselves as humans everything change I’m not expert in religion or human behaviour but what I think is that the concept of this story can associates with evil or good human beings we are the result of the past experiences of the condition that societies impose and we are missing the part that belongs to our religion beliefs I need to watch the other parts of this interview and compare with others
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Martha and, as you say you need to watch the entire interview, which we encourage you to do (it is at the top of our homepage here). That aside in terms of your thoughts so far while Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM and why it is heralded as the breakthrough that can save the world. As Professor Harry Prosen, a former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, has said: “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s work is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.” We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work.
The human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. For instance Jeremy explains in Part 2 of THE Interview, “‘No, no, that story got it wrong’. Adam and Eve are actually not just good but the heroes of the whole story of life on Earth.” What science can now add to that pre-scientific description of the human condition is that our instincts in effect criticised the emerging conscious mind’s search for knowledge, but importantly, we can now understand that the conscious mind was right, or ‘good’ to defy our instinctive self in order to fulfil its great potential to manage life. While religious assurances, such as ‘God loves you’ in Christianity, provided comfort, they failed to explain WHY we are lovable, and it is that missing explanation that this breakthrough provides.
This understanding does represent a paradigm shift in our understanding of human behaviour so there is a lot to absorb but we suggest the more you do absorb it the more you will realise that it explains humans’ psychological upset is not a product of imposed conditioning but the result of a universal psychosis, caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. And, significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding so the solution is simple and all-powerful (see FAQs 1.4 - 1.6).
Angela Finsterbusch
Too good to become true. I just read a book by Rutger Bregman “Im Grunde gut”, who confirms some of your points but shows with many examples how influential people and organisations manipulated experiments to prove the opposit. For decades.
WTM Admin
Angela, there is a lot to digest here, but what is so different to what Bregman is presenting, which is just that deep down humans are ‘good’, is that this understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’. Yes, despite our competitive and selfish behaviour, deep down we humans have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good, but we have never before been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition. That is the great breakthrough presented here. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, and suffer becoming a corrupted angry, egocentric and alienated sufferer of the human condition, it makes redundant all those defensive behaviours, allowing us to finally become the cooperative and loving species that we once were, and we have all dreamed of becoming again.

KINKY
The contents of this Interview are flawed!
We are human beings that are a result of our spiritual existence. There is a Supernatural existence, and we define this as GOD.
Man did not become a ‘conscience’ individual, this is not a result of animal evolution.
WTM Admin
Hi Kinky, we certainly respect people’s religious views but we felt it was important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or religion — please see our reply to Glenna directly below which explains this. Further, we maintain that humans belief in a supernatural God is a product of our psychological upset or insecurity and the biology of this is explained in THE Interview: that all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to clash between our cooperative instincts and our intellect or consciousness (see FAQ 5.4 for ‘How did consciousness emerge in humans?’). This instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition at last reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. It demystifies the supernatural God we have needed until we could truthfully explain the human condition, explain the good reason why we humans have been divisively behaved rather than integratively behaved. As Jeremy briefly explains in Part 3 of THE Interview ‘God’ is the personification of the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence, see FAQ 6.2 ‘What is ‘God’?’ As well, we recommend our FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’.
Glenna Butler
I believe you are leaving God/Jesus Christ out of this.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Glenna. THE Interview is a summary presentation, however in Part 3 biologist Jeremy Griffith does briefly define the concept of ‘God’ and then refers the audience to his full explanation in chapter 4 of his book FREEDOM. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in FREEDOM chapter 4 as being the integrative meaning of life. See also FAQ 6.2 ‘What is ‘God’?’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God?’.
The human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. For instance Jeremy explains in Part 2 the Biblical story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. So in terms of Christianity and Christ, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in his Freedom Essay 39.

Our FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

Just his opinion, like everyone else’s
WTM Admin
As THE Interview makes clear, there is no “opinion” or dogma or belief involved. What is presented is an accountable scientific, first principle-based, rational, testable understanding of the human condition, which has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers around the world, see the Commendations on our homepage.
You can know that Jeremy Griffith has at last got to the bottom of the human condition and found the redeeming explanation of it, because as he explains in paragraph 73 of FREEDOM, the ultimate test of any hypothesis is how accountable it is of our own lives – as the greatest of all physicists, Albert Einstein, once said that ‘truth is what stands the test of experience’. And so you can know that this is the breakthrough explanation of the human condition because once you understand the explanation and begin to apply it, you will discover it is so able to make sense of human behaviour it makes it transparent. This transparency of ourselves and our world — for example, the exposure of all our falseness—that this understanding of the human condition brings, is the ultimate ‘test of experience’ that confirms that the understanding being presented here is more than just another “opinion”. Fantastic a claim as it may seem, you will find that what is being presented here is the long-sought-after, desperately needed, psychosis-addressing-and-resolving, human race-transforming explanation of the human condition.

Incredible

I was impressed by how much attention you get from someone sharing common knowledge that everybody should know, but then I started a non-profit fighting racism, discrimination and bullying using the same science and discovered that nobody responsible from the public within this field doesn’t know basic science and people with a full-time employment fighting racism are actually totally unaware of the cause.
WTM Admin
Thanks for your comment Roy. Firstly, everybody should be aware that what is presented here is not “common knowledge”, so it is not suprising that people who are ‘employed fighting racism are unwaware of the cause’. While it takes some time to digest, what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.
It is only with this breakthrough that we can at last understand that due to each ‘races’’ (ethnic groups) different encounter with humanitys heroic battle to find knowledge there are more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups), and there are races that have been more exposed to the battle than others, which resulted in endless prejudice where the more innocent would think the more upset were ‘bad’, and the more upset would be confronted by the less upset and oppress them in return, creating all sorts of mental anguish and trauma. However, the key, compassionate insight that upset is not ‘bad’ allows us to reconcile the more upset with the less upset, which puts an end to all prejudices and oppression; in other words, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism, and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molosiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Seems to me that this concept obsoletes religions that are based upon fear and guilt, that we are born with sin, and constantly need forgiveness from some deity. Their fundamental principle is that we are innately bad, and Jeremy has scientifically debunked that concept.
WTM Admin
Yes, while religious assurances, such as ‘God loves you’ in Christianity, provided comfort, they failed to explain WHY we are lovable, and it is that missing explanation that this breakthrough provides. And significantly, by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts it at last reconciles science and religion — but rather than threatening religions, what people discover is it is the fulfilment of a time that all the great prophets looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves (see our FAQs about religion).

Makes perfect sense. But why do we allow despots to run our world, this does not make sense to a sentient species.
WTM Admin
Without this understanding, all humans are insecure victims of the human condition, all trying to prove our self-worth because of the basic instinct vs intellect clash. In the extreme, this clash produces people who are so ‘psychologically upset’ that they are addicted to power, creating the “despots” you describe. We recommend our FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Your book is most definitely worth reading and I can’t wait ti get it. Thank you! Your mind & your heart is in the right place as one who is willing to forfeit the prize (the one who dies with the most toys wins) in favor of love, peace, communal cohesion. Luckily people like you still exist. But we are greatly outnumbered by those who don’t value love, values, cohesion they use it as bait. Bad people value power, wealth, symbols of wealth, objects of desire. They are not willing to give all of that up. Although you were finally able to put our human condition into words, we have already been at war with this since Adam. The ones in power don’t want things to change. Houston..
WTM Admin
Thanks for your comment Michael. Firstly you can immediately access free electronic copies of Jeremy Griffith’s key books, including his definitive book FREEDOM, to read, listen to or download here on our homepage. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. (Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.)
In terms of there being ‘good’ and ‘bad’ people we can now understand, as Jeremy explains in THE Interview, all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. While it is true that due to their circumstances, some individuals have less exposure to the human condition than others, and are therefore less psychologically upset than others, by this stage of the human journey everyone suffers from the human condition. What is so important about this is that it finally explains the real reason for our selfish and greedy behaviour and why it became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life and by so doing establishes our fundamental goodness. So as a species, we became angry, egocentric and alienated, or in a word ‘upset’ so all humans suffer, to varying degrees, from the human condition, to quote Jeremy in Part 2 “everyone is naturally variously psychologically upset from their different encounters with humanity’s battle to find knowledge”. As the highly respected psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of.” (FAQ 1.34).
So take heart Michael as the transformation of the world is totally possible — see FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level.

Hi Antoinette and thank you so much for your comment. This breakthrough explanation of the human condition presents a massive paradigm shift in our thinking so it’s natural to need to take time to digest all it reveals. As Jeremy Griffith describes, the human condition has historically been such a fearful, off-limits topic and the mind simply needs time to ride out the initial shock or ‘deaf effect’ of having it broached and all manner of mystery unlocked. We encourage re-watching THE Interview and looking at its companion presentation The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect (you can freely access these Introductory videos here on our homepage) because the more you do absorb this explanation, the more you realise just how all-clarifying, all-redeeming, all-reconciling, all-healing and all-liberating it is! Also our reply to Nikki below gives an overview of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept which will be helpful to read.
Nikki King
Just curious I want to know what this interview is about
WTM Admin
It’s wonderful to have your interest Nikki and thank you for your question. We encourage you to watch THE Interview (at the top of our homepage) as it is the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition and Part 1 presents the explanation as quickly and simply as possible. Also our FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.

How can change be implemented on a global level with out infringement of human rights
WTM Admin
Hi Arthur, this critical new science brings about a change or transformation that has never before been possible and there is definitely no infringement of human rights involved. This change is driven by logical self-understanding which is a complete empowerment and fulfilment of our human potential or free will. Certainly throughout history, under the duress of the human condition, we have had to varying degrees impose discipline or restraint of our upset so that society could continue to function and our species could keep progressing toward finding an answer to our corrupted condition. Thankfully, with this redeeming solution to the human condition now found, rather than having to control our behaviour through discipline or a code of living, our psychological upset can actually subside, and we can truly be liberated from the human condition.
To elaborate, it does take a little time to fully absorb the significance of finally being able to explain the human condition but what it means is we now have the ability, for the first time, to understand every aspect of human behaviour and our behaviour will change naturally as a result — see FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is this explanation important to my life’. At last we can understand we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying, restraining or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page and Freedom Essay 15 is all about ‘How our lives can be immediately transformed’.

Thoroughly enjoying the interview(still). I’d like to question could Cain and Able story also reference intinct/introspection? Also the fact that stork Adam was a singularity type. The multiple individual introspections compounded this human condition considerably?
WTM Admin
That’s wonderful you’re enjoying THE Interview Kristopher! The essential ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation is presented in Part 1 by Jeremy Griffith with his Adam Stork analogy. Also, as he further explains in Part 2, it is the story of Adam and Eve that is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! You may find these FAQs helpful in your consideration. FAQ 1.41 ‘What are instincts and what is consciousness, and how do they differ?’and also FAQ 1.42 ‘Why does having loving instincts actually make the instinct vs intellect clash worse?’ which explains that our species having loving and cooperative instincts, what Jeremy terms the ‘double and triple whammy’, is what compounded the human condition.
Finding understanding of the human condition at last makes it possible to explain and demystify all mythology, including all the parables and stories in the Bible. For instance in terms of your question about the Cain and Able story, in Freedom Essay 39 Jeremy explains that the Cain and Abel story is a metaphor for the fundamental truth that humanity has progressed from a state of innocence to a state of upset, and how, following the advent of agriculture, that progression eventually led to warfare so I’m sure you will find that most interesting.

Anne Brewitt
JESUS is the only answer for the problems in this world. GOD’S Word already has the answers. It is mans rebellion against GOD that is the cause of it. That is the human condition explained and also, JESUS is the only one who can heal all those who surrender their life and put their trust in HIM.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Anne. We certainly respect people’s religious views however we felt it was important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict the Bible. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in Freedom Essay 39. The real issue is if people prefer a more literal fundamentalist interpretation of scripture rather than our more biological, science-based interpretation. For those interested in exploring this further we suggest our FAQs about Religion, in particuular FAQ 6.3 titled ‘Aren’t all Griffith’s demystifications of religious teachings going to be seen by supporters of religion as blasphemy? / Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God? / How does this affect my personal religious practice? / How can you reconcile the explanation of the human condition that defends the upset state with religious teachings that condemn upset?’

This is awesome and he really does nail it and answer every question I could come up with, and he does it in such a genuine, real and thorough way. 😁
The only problem I can foresee is how much of it will go right over the heads of many people as it is so very complex.
I have some ideas that I believe will assist with spreading the word in ways that will help those with less formal education skills gain a better understanding and in response will be much more likely to become part of the movement. And as we know the more this information is put out there on different levels so that all people can recognise the importance of it for our future then the sooner change will happen and on a wider scale.
WTM Admin
What a wonderful response to THE Interview Simon as what it explains truly is the universal solution to the human condition!! In terms of the problem you foresee the fundamental explanation is actually very simple and obvious and not beyond the most basic of educations — see FAQ 1.3 for a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. As Jeremy explains in THE Interview the real problem is the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access for many people. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means people’s minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Wonderfully however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! Our FAQ 1.16 explains this phenomenon and its solution in greater detail and includes the section ‘deaf to the Deaf Effect’ which is written by someone like yourself, who can easily access this understanding, and he naturally also struggled to account for why others found it harder so that might be very helpful for you to read. Also, the presentation that follows THE Interview, titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect is a must watch as it comprehensively deals with this understandable fear and cynicism about confronting the human condition. It includes examples of people overcoming the deaf effect and it is an astonishingly revealing presentation. As well, you might like to explore our ‘How to Help’ page on our website which includes many suggestions to help promote this understanding. Of course we welcome people’s ideas and you can contact us via our contact facility on our website but you may like you explore these suggested links first. Thanks again Simon for your wonderful comment.

Just follow your interest John, and it will either make sense or it won’t. If it doesn’t, throw it over your shoulder. But as you are already picking up on, it does address the fundamental issue of whether we humans are good or not. How do we explain our destructive, seemingly evil behaviour. What you will find in the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is a rational, fully accountable explanation of this riddle of riddles. And it is life changing!
We should also mention that the work of the WTM is a scientific pursuit and was not created for profit, so all of our information and materials (including books, videos and podcasts) are provided absolutely free of charge on our website (no email required and there is no money involved).

Martin Lewis
As nearing my 90th birthdate in good health, I have much to be thankful for, having lived through the 2nd World war, and blessed with being born and raised on a small farm on the crest of a Welsh mountain. I resonate entirely with the thoughts and words expressed by Mr Griffith. Why we have been blind as one of God’s creations to the obvious as stated is a mystery, but the pronouncements of C.S. Lewis may point many to seek understanding, without elaboration in this reply, C.S.Lewis states that the human condition contains the Moral Law, regardless of our behaviour or psychological propensity. As humans we are given both the understanding and the right to choose between right and wrong at all times. Alas, we do not always follow the right path.
WTM Admin
Thanks very much for your thoughts Martin. Yes, we have a selfless moral conscience – the “Moral Law” that C.S. Lewis wrote of; but whereas Lewis had to put his faith in Christianity in order to be able to live with our ‘disobedience’ to that ‘Law’, we now have the scientific understanding to explain away the guilt and shame we’ve carried for corrupting and becoming alienated from our soul — for living at odds with our “Moral Law”. It couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.

First read the human condition many moons ago, when I was 19.
Wow! I thought I’d stumbled upon the answers to all humanities ails - a real ‘Eureka’ moment!
However, my joy was short-lived as people didn’t want to hear or know. Oh the torment!
Unfortunately, I’d forgotten about his book when I finally met the one person who’d have cared, really cared! Sadly, he’s no longer with us 😭 the book would have set him free, but I was too young, too beautiful (if not bitter & twisted). Apparently, schlock horror, I was unkind & self-absorbed etc one might even suggest worse...
Alas, here I am once more, fumbling in the dark, only 30 years later on YouTube (brought into fruition by teenagers, like myself, imagining being able to play their favourite songs instantly somehow - like a personal DJ 😂!).
At a crossroads, it’s going to take some much needed soul searching to discover What? Where? When? Who? How?
Will ‘Beyond the Human Condition’ give me the answers/solutions still sought without offering a magical concoction to ensure I/we act accordingly?
WTM Admin
It’s absolutely wonderful you’ve rediscovered Jeremy Griffith’s work Nicole!! Also you can take heart, because as you can see from the thousands of impressive commendations on our homepage from scientists, thought leaders and members of the public, and the over 80 WTM Centres that have now opened across the globe, the relief and excitement of finally being able to make sense of human life is turning into a tidal wave of world-saving support!!
In terms of you experiencing others not wanting to hear or know about the human condition we suggest you will find our FAQ 1.16 most helpful. It explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access for many people. Our FAQ 1.16 explains this phenomenon and its solution in greater detail and includes the section ‘deaf to the Deaf Effect’ which is written by someone like yourself who can easily access this understanding but had trouble accessing why others found it harder so that might be very revealing for you to read.
We suggest you first watch our widely praised introductory presentation THE Interview (at the top of our homepage) and from there Jeremy Griffith’s other three introductory videos here on our homepage. This presents a feast of answers and the transformation they bring about is all logic-driven and allows for truly independent, open and free thinking for the first time, obsoleting any need for adherence to faith or dogma of any kind so there’s no “magical concoction” involved! Also see our FAQ 6.5 which explains the difference between Jeremy’s biological explanation and pseudo-idealism or the new age movement which you may also find most helpful.

A lot to take on board, needing more contemplation.
Thank you so much. For. This amazing video. I really appreciate all of everyone’s. Research. Hello from upstate NY

Interesting, and worthwhile food for thought.
I am really glad I decided to look into this information. At the moment, I just want to know more and more. The information have changed my understanding in life, and I believe it will change me more
Outstanding
What is the this program, organization proposing to accomplish?? It appears to go for a very long time, giving great reference. But we still do not understand what this intends to achieve...
Wonderfully this can be overcome with patient perserverance, as is evidenced by the growing momentum of support that is building around the world which can be seen on our homepage with daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview, outstanding commendations Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thought leaders and over 80 WTM Centres that have opened across the globe!I had read this interview about five months ago and it is quite revealing. It explains the working mechanism of the human system. It’s quite amazing!
Simply Amazing
It is very interesting to hear the Interview, about it and incredible ,it is amazing.
Omg amazing insight to obtain understanding of the human condition
Satisfying information contained within
So the “flower children” of the 60s is an example of a loving peaceful and cooperative family of people. So much love. So little regard to how the world is at this time
Hi Karen, firstly it is important to clarify that Jeremy Griffith’s work is not an idealistic plea for utopia or for everyone to just behave cooperatively, it is a biological defence of realism. How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.5.Also, in terms of your mention of “the flower children of the 60s” the following is an extract from Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM chapter 8:16A which you may like to read in full here. As will be described in the final chapter of this book, what now emerges on Earth is not another messy, deluded false start to humanity’s freedom from the human condition, but the real, genuinely loving one."Too good to be true. Amazing!
Sounds intriguing. Looking forward to more info

Very satisfying knowledge
great and wonderful explanation thank you. ARUBA. Dutch Caribbean island.
Very sensitive and mind blowing
I learned a lot from this topic in regards with human behavior and how to handle them good pointers to added to my knowledge. I could apply on dealing with different human behaviors.
It’s important to understand the source of psychopathic behavior and the characteristics effects on the human behavior and how to deal with this kind of human behavior.
This is very uplifting and dispels all theories of race imbalances
And, significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding so the solution is simple and all-powerful (see FAQs 1.4 - 1.6).Too good to become true. I just read a book by Rutger Bregman “Im Grunde gut”, who confirms some of your points but shows with many examples how influential people and organisations manipulated experiments to prove the opposit. For decades.
Just listen, very close!
To be shared far and wide
The contents of this Interview are flawed! We are human beings that are a result of our spiritual existence. There is a Supernatural existence, and we define this as GOD. Man did not become a ‘conscience’ individual, this is not a result of animal evolution.
I believe you are leaving God/Jesus Christ out of this.
See also FAQ 6.2 ‘What is ‘God’?’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God?’.The human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. So in terms of Christianity and Christ, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in his Freedom Essay 39.Very excited to read this book!

This information is important and it has helped me how to live with any individual without condemnation
Brain vs.instinct
My eyes are opened and understand, from the interview I believe now we have answers to heal. But the question is how do let the world know and understand. Let’s have lessons in all languages
This interview was fascinating and the explanation so obvious once you hear it but I just hope that enough people take heed to actually impact on the greedy selfish arrogant fat cats at the top of the money driven heap, because they like things just as they are!
I had to listen twice to get it. But wow it makes sense now. The biblical (you dont have to be religious to understand this comparison), and other references (cave men), make complete sense of how and why it all went wrong leading us to where we are today.
So amazing!
Very informative and convincing Thank you
Extremely Interesting. Thank you.
Just his opinion, like everyone else’s
Fantastic a claim as it may seem, you will find that what is being presented here is the long-sought-after, desperately needed, psychosis-addressing-and-resolving, human race-transforming explanation of the human condition.I am deeply interested and SURE this is what I need.
Well informative and passed it on.
Close. But not complete.
There is a lot to digest here, but we suggest that this ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation really does get to the bottom of the human condition in all its different manifestations. You might be interested in our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’
Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.It is only with this breakthrough that we can at last understand that due to each ‘races’’ (ethnic groups) different encounter with humanitys heroic battle to find knowledge there are more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups), and there are races that have been more exposed to the battle than others, which resulted in endless prejudice where the more innocent would think the more upset were ‘bad’, and the more upset would be confronted by the less upset and oppress them in return, creating all sorts of mental anguish and trauma. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism, and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molosiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8.Amazing content, such a blessing for this information and community for like minded people. Thank you for your love of humanity, now days there’s seems none.
This is incredible! Thanks for the enlightenment. I am now aware that my concious and subconscious mind have greater influence than my surroundings.
I want to learn more I want to know more
I want to know if what you teach is spiritual
Although this is science, it is based on a ‘spiritual’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great spiritual traditions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. We suggest that the more you digest this explanation, the more you will see that it does not rob life or explanations of life of its ‘spiritual’ dimension. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, in particular FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’
Thank very much for the information. It was indeed insightful. I now look at life and myself as a human being differently. I now feel strongly that I can control love and anger so much easier.
Outstanding - What a concept!
Just peeked in the internet. Interesting. We live in a different World now. Incredibly going to fast. What are great grandchildren & their parents, our kids have to expect & if they will suffer when I am gone. Got the answer on "What you teach is spiritual? Thank you for this space you share
I agree that, yes. There is an increasing surge of real positive change upon us!
Good food for thought!
Seems to me that this concept obsoletes religions that are based upon fear and guilt, that we are born with sin, and constantly need forgiveness from some deity. Their fundamental principle is that we are innately bad, and Jeremy has scientifically debunked that concept.
Want to see what all the fuss is about but if IV got to pay or put anything to do with my bank details on to get to here this is just a nother scam ae lol🤓😎🤑👽

Interesting and very deep
Makes perfect sense. But why do we allow despots to run our world, this does not make sense to a sentient species.
Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’I found your conversation fascinating and filled with intriguing points. Although some aspects still leave me a bit puzzled, I’m eager to dive deeper. I’ll make sure to continue listening to related discussions and reading more about the topics you touched on, as I believe there’s much more to uncover and understand.
I’m literally so intrigued. I need to learn more.
Love this idea
Amazing news
Superbly Explained
I really believe that this information has the power to help humanity change.Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Houston..
Thanks for your comment Michael. Firstly you can immediately access free electronic copies of Jeremy Griffith’s key books, including his definitive book FREEDOM, to read, listen to or download here on our homepage. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. (Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.)In terms of there being ‘good’ and ‘bad’ people we can now understand, as Jeremy explains in THE Interview, all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. As the highly respected psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of.” (FAQ 1.34).So take heart Michael as the transformation of the world is totally possible — see FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level.life changing send me more
I have found that it was a very interesting conversation. Still a little puzzle about it but will continue on listening and reading up on it.
Just curious I want to know what this interview is about
It’s wonderful to have your interest Nikki and thank you for your question.
That was a very interesting interview with a lot of recondite insights by Jeremy Griffith! Hopefully it paves the way towards a better world! I just wish I could lay my hands on Jeremy’s book on this interesting subject! Thank you!
Hi Seth, great to have your interest in Jeremy Griffith’s work which introduces so many unknown insights! How can change be implemented on a global level with out infringement of human rights
This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page and Freedom Essay 15 is all about ‘How our lives can be immediately transformed’.Humans are good, and not bad, after all. Lifts the guilt. Every human is fundamentally good. Fascinating work. Thank you.
Recognizing who we truly are. Amazing insight.
I’m delighted when understanding the underlining message presented by Jeremy. The knowledge and great insights presented illuminates the human condition in order to understand and adapt changes to living a better life. Much gratitude.
Thank you...from the bottom of my ❤️.
Thank you very much for this wonderful and impactful knowledge imparted in me. I love this presentation so much. God bless you
Listening and learning
I am grateful I found this
Very useful. Needs dissemination and to be discussed with our youth and why not everyone. Cheers
HOPE
Loved loved loved this interview. Being a scientist and a woman of faith, with a long-lasting history of pain, I needed someone like Jeremy and his Theory of human conditions to put all the pieces of the life together. Thank you
Finally, a work worth disseminating!
Interested. Listening in Botswana.
I am delighted to be here
I’m interested in your precious topics. Extremely informative
Thoroughly enjoying the interview(still). I’d like to question could Cain and Able story also reference intinct/introspection? Also the fact that stork Adam was a singularity type. The multiple individual introspections compounded this human condition considerably?
FAQ 1.41 ‘What are instincts and what is consciousness, and how do they differ?’and also FAQ 1.42 ‘Why does having loving instincts actually make the instinct vs intellect clash worse?’ which explains that our species having loving and cooperative instincts, what Jeremy terms the ‘double and triple whammy’, is what compounded the human condition.Finding understanding of the human condition at last makes it possible to explain and demystify all mythology, including all the parables and stories in the Bible. For instance in terms of your question about the Cain and Able story, in Freedom Essay 39 Jeremy explains that the Cain and Abel story is a metaphor for the fundamental truth that humanity has progressed from a state of innocence to a state of upset, and how, following the advent of agriculture, that progression eventually led to warfare so I’m sure you will find that most interesting.a must listen to commentary as to why we are what we are
JESUS is the only answer for the problems in this world. GOD’S Word already has the answers. It is mans rebellion against GOD that is the cause of it. That is the human condition explained and also, JESUS is the only one who can heal all those who surrender their life and put their trust in HIM.
Need this information.
This is extremely helpful and self-revealing.
This is awesome and he really does nail it and answer every question I could come up with, and he does it in such a genuine, real and thorough way. 😁 The only problem I can foresee is how much of it will go right over the heads of many people as it is so very complex.
This is quite worthwhile for every great visionary and passionate success-minded individual. God bless you. Thank you.

I find myself interested in this site for good or bad
Just follow your interest John, and it will either make sense or it won’t. If it doesn’t, throw it over your shoulder. But as you are already picking up on, it does address the fundamental issue of whether we humans are good or not. How do we explain our destructive, seemingly evil behaviour. What you will find in the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is a rational, fully accountable explanation of this riddle of riddles. And it is life changing! We should also mention that the work of the WTM is a scientific pursuit and was not created for profit, so all of our information and materials (including books, videos and podcasts) are provided absolutely free of charge on our website (no email required and there is no money involved).Mind bending. I feel freedom!
As it is the most enlightening bit of info I’ve had the pleasure of receiving, THANK YOU for all of humanity. Make it so ....
It’s absolutely wonderful you’ve rediscovered Jeremy Griffith’s work Nicole!! Also you can take heart, because as you can see from the thousands of impressive commendations on our homepage from scientists, thought leaders and members of the public, and the over 80 WTM Centres that have now opened across the globe, the relief and excitement of finally being able to make sense of human life is turning into a tidal wave of world-saving support!!In terms of you experiencing others not wanting to hear or know about the human condition we suggest you will find our FAQ 1.16 most helpful. It explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access for many people. Our FAQ 1.16 explains this phenomenon and its solution in greater detail and includes the section ‘deaf to the Deaf Effect’ which is written by someone like yourself who can easily access this understanding but had trouble accessing why others found it harder so that might be very revealing for you to read.We suggest you first watch our widely praised introductory presentation THE Interview (at the top of our homepage) and from there Jeremy Griffith’s other three introductory videos here on our homepage. This presents a feast of answers and the transformation they bring about is all logic-driven and allows for truly independent, open and free thinking for the first time, obsoleting any need for adherence to faith or dogma of any kind so there’s no “magical concoction” involved! Also see our FAQ 6.5 which explains the difference between Jeremy’s biological explanation and pseudo-idealism or the new age movement which you may also find most helpful.Life changing information...cant wait to harvest the whole book!
