Very interesting to understand this perspective

Astounding and absolutely amazing weaves with truth and rational science with total understandings this will work if giving the opportunity to presented in to realm of the whole human race

Money is the reason for all are problems it truly is the route of all evil

WTM Admin

Hi Joseph, what is so extraordinary about this biological breakthrough is that we can now understand the fundamental reason why people want more money than they need; we can now understand the source of our greed, and more generally, materialism. When the conscious mind went in search of knowledge a conflict between our instinct and intellect broke out, leading to an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition, a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. This is the underlying source of our greed and selfishness or what we have historically termed “evil”. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt and insecurity it produced, all those defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition, see our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’. We also recommend FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ as it explains how everyone, even those most committed to a life of pursuing power, fame, fortune and glory can be transformed.

Sharla Vincent

So very interesting and makes so much sense. I have struggled with self sabotage, I’ll reach a goal and feel good and proud about achieving just to turn around and take it away from myself like I wasn’t worthy of it. Been trying to figure out why wasn’t I worthy of it? I’m a goodgood loving giving hard working person. So why don’t I deserve this for myself? This helps me to understand now why this happens to me.

WTM Admin

Yes Sharla, at last we can understand we are actually worthy! As biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview “Well, what this real—and actually very obvious—instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously angry, egocentric and alienated from our different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. And this ability to understand and know there was a good reason why the human race became psychologically upset, is the key, relieving understanding we have been in search of ever since we became conscious some 2 million years ago and our corrupted condition emerged. That is the key relief for our mind—being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all.” Also, as distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen wrote in his Introduction to Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis.” Now you’ve watched THE Interview we recommend you watch the next introductory video The Great Guilt as it further gives an astonishingly important description of The Great Burden Of Guilt that has finally been lifted from the human race — click here to start watching!

Karen Block

This is science’s way to explain the difference between good and evil. That way they don’t have to explain God and Satan.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Karen. As THE Interview explains unable to confront the human condition, which is our capacity for “good and evil”, science has been mechanistic and reductionist and yes it has denied the existence of our psychologically troubled human condition, blaming our selfish behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us – see FAQ 1.2 ‘How does science currently explain the human condition?’ And that is where the human race has been stalled, waiting in an increasingly distressed state for the real explanation for our psychologically troubled condition that will finally make sense of our contradictory behaviour. That is, until now—because what biologist Jeremy Griffith introduces here is a new scientific paradigm based on confronting and solving, rather than the historic practice of denying and avoiding, the issue of our “good and evil” stricken human condition, see FAQ 1.3 ‘What is Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition’! So now that we can understand and resolve this underlying issue in all of human life of the human condition it finally becomes possible to explain and demystify religion which includes explaining God and Satan.     For instance in THE Interview Jeremy discusses that while religions contain all manner of truths about us, it is all from a pre-scientific view. So his work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God, or Christianity it simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view (see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’). So although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life which Jeremy mentions in Part 3 of THE Interview (see FAQ 6.2 ‘What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’?' and also our reply to Carmen directly below).     Also in THE Interview Jeremy explains how the Biblical story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’ or ‘satanic’. So just as the personification of ‘God’ can now be explained and demystified, so too can our use of ‘Satan’, which is really a metaphor for our consciousness that has become psychologically upset and defiant because of the corrupting search for knowledge. You can read more about this in Jeremy’s Freedom Essay 53 ‘The ‘instinct vs intellect’ is obvious’ where he discusses the English poet John Milton’s 1667 masterpiece Paradise Lost which features the allegorical figure of ‘Satan’. To quote: “Milton’s first allegory uses a Biblical reference to a ‘war in heaven’ (Rev. 12:7-13) as its basis. The protagonists in the ‘war’ are God, who is ‘goodness beyond thought’, representing our all-loving, integrative instincts, and the angel ‘Lucifer’, representing our conscious mind. (In the original Hebrew, ‘Lucifer’ means ‘light-bearer’—with light being a universal symbol for consciousness.) Milton tells how ‘Lucifer’ wants to be ‘free’ of ‘the tyranny of Heaven [our inflexible instincts]’, which leads to his ‘rebellion’, for which he is punished by being ‘Hurld headlong flaming from th’ Ethereal Skie / With hideous ruine and combustion down / To bottomless perdition [the psychologically upset state of the human condition where we are constantly criticised by our loving instincts]’. Following his ‘rebellion’, ‘Lucifer’ becomes known as ‘Satan’, which in the original Hebrew means ‘adversary’; so ‘Satan’ represents the conscious mind that has now become defiant—angry, egocentric and alienated—in response to our instinctive self’s criticism.”

Carmen

Whenever you figure out chance please wow that’s the answer that’s the absolute answer

WTM Admin

Hi Carmen, your comment isn’t completely clear but if you are saying the answer is “figuring out” or understanding how “chance” or randomness works then we disagree. This critical new science explains evolution as a developmental process rather than a random one. At the end of Part 3 of THE Interview biologist Jeremy Griffith mentions the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence and refers the audience to chapter 4 of his definitive book FREEDOM which evidences that integration is the theme of existence; it is the meaning of life (summarised in FAQ 6.2 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’?’). This allows us to properly understand evolution for the first time. As Jeremy explains in FREEDOM chapter 4:4 Darwinian evolution is not the random process that mechanistic science tries to portray it as, it is actually an integrative process: “In commencing this denial-free analysis of the development of matter from a perspective that takes into account the truth of Integrative Meaning, we first need to replace the word ‘evolution’ with the word ‘development’, for while evolution implies that organisms do change or evolve it avoids acknowledging that there is a direction and purpose to that change, which is to develop the order of matter.” So this new human condition confronting, rather than denying, approach opens up an whole new way of understanding evolution, one that removes the “chance”, random or directionless aspect that so many people intuitively knew could not be true.

Sharon

When I first tried to watch your video, (start to finish), I suffered from the deafness you mention. I just didn’t get the meaning of the human condition. Like others, I was blocking it. But it was bugging me to find out what it truly meant. About a year later, I watched it again and understood what you had discovered. A moment of clarity that I wasn’t ready for last year. Had so many thoughts and questions before, about how would we stop cruelty to children and animals. And in my case, how could I ever trust strangers, when so many people have bad intentions. The sooner this all starts, the better we will be. It’s true that we are stubborn and deny changes. The world was once flat, and now scientists are arguing how old the earth really is. No-one wants to be wrong. Let’s get going on this new venture. More Love and working together can only improve humanity. It’s time to change and stop stressing out. Thanks for the work you are all doing to spread the word. Unfortunately it will take some time. I loved the info about the Monkeys. They are very compassionate.

WTM Admin

We greatly appreciate you sharing your experience Sharon! While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1) as you say THE Interview also explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Wonderfully however, as you discovered, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most precious of all gifts of understanding the human condition! For newcomers this deaf effect and its solution is comprehensively explained in the presentation that follows THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect and also in our FAQ 1.16 ‘What is the ‘Deaf Effect’? / What is the solution to the ‘Deaf Effect’?’.     As with any new scientific breakthrough in history, it may take time for people to realise this is the universal solution we have all sought to all the problems we face, however once it catches on—through people recognising the importance of it — the infectious enthusiasm and selfless love it liberates will solve our problems very quickly because instead of being preoccupied with seeking power, all our energies will be freed to truly work together as you say and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world and this is starting to happen! Just look at our homepage with the daily ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving along with the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from scientists and thought leaders and over 80 WTM Centres all over the world! Our Facebook Group is also one of the platform’s fastest growing groups with over 80,000 members, so we encourage you to join it as its momentum is another indication of the uptake of this understanding. Also see our FAQs 1.4–1.6 for more on the speed in which this healing knowledge can turn humanity in the right direction and transform it! And yes Sharon now we can understand the human conditon we can truly appreciate just how sensitive and loving the bonobo chimpanzees are which THE Interview discusses in Part 3 and is summarised in FAQ 5.2 ‘What do the nurtured and cooperative bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’.

Janice Mills

Amazing interview , thank you.

Chuol Yiech

Thank you very much

Kim upson

Iv found that if you love and nurture your children quietly calming with play time and fairness they simply love you back and don’t want to disappoint you in any way thus their behaviour and gratitude is abundant

WTM Admin

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Kim. Jeremy Griffith’s new science of the human condition certainly explains and reinforces the importance of nurturing or love in our development. He explains that our species once lived cooperatively and lovingly and that we acquired our moral instincts through nurturing—a process he terms ‘love-indoctrination’. He also explains this has been an unbearable truth while we couldn’t explain why we humans became angry, egocentric and alienated and as a result our ability to nurture our offspring with unconditional selflessness or love has been compromised. The great significance of Jeremy’s work is that we can at last explain why we became upset and understand that our selfish and destructive behaviour is the result of a psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. So with this compassionate understanding of the human condition we can now appreciate that humanity’s necessary preoccupation with finding knowledge compromised our ability to nurture our children to the extent their instincts expect, but now that that preoccupation ends we can safely acknowledge the absolute importance of nurturing in our species’ development (see also Freedom Essay 21) and in the individual development of children (see chapter 8:16C of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM).

Thank you so much ...as,a,clinical psychologist with 50 years,of work experience,,I truly appreciate, this especially in these, horrific times

John Neill

I thought scientists were supposed to remain open to the possibility that their hypotheses may be wrong. I find the absolute certainty that the human condition is now fully understood is a little arrogant. But that is human conscious hope you.

WTM Admin

Hi John, as our FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, the astonishing claims being made about biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work do warrant initial scepticism however they all withstand scrutiny as what he presents is 100% logic. So the ideas being put forward are not untestable hypotheses that must be accepted on blind faith—they can be tested as true or otherwise. For instance Jeremy’s biological explanation of the human condition has received significant scientific evaluation, and, subsequent to that, scientific support which can be seen on the commendations page of our website. This includes endorsement from Professor Harry Prosen (former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association) who said, “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s work is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race” and Professor Stuart Hurlbert (Professor Emeritus of Biology at San Diego State University) said about Jeremy’s treatise “I am stunned & honored to have lived to see the coming of ‘Darwin II’... A truly phenomenal, beyond description, scientific achievement!” So, we suggest, the obvious truth is that Jeremy couldn’t have made any real progress towards all the amazing truthful insights he has reached if his mind was closed or unsoundly motivated by arrogance or egocentricity.     Also, it needs to be emphasised that the subject of the human condition that Jeremy’s treatise addresses is the most important but also the most difficult and thus contentious of all subjects for humans to address because it deals with the ultimate confronting issue of ‘self’. When the renowned Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson wrote, ‘There is no grail more elusive or precious in the life of the mind than the key to understanding the human condition’ (The Social Conquest of Earth, 2012, p.1), he was making this point that while ‘understanding the human condition’ is the most ‘precious’ ‘grail’ of science, it is also the most ‘elusive’ ‘grail’ because the subject is the most difficult of all subjects for humans to engage with. It therefore has to be expected that Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition can cause hostile unfair attacks on it. With that consideration in mind, we strongly recommend that everyone, such as yourself, who is concerned about the scientific validity of Jeremy’s treatise, read our FAQ 1.10 as it addresses the full range of criticisms Jeremy’s treatise has attracted from those accustomed to science’s prevailing human-condition-avoiding, mechanistic paradigm—answering as it does, the questions of ‘Why does mechanistic science ignore, even attack, Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition? / Is this pseudo-science? / If this is real science, why isn’t it published in ‘peer-reviewed’ journals? / Does this treatise present new data and is it testable; in fact is it science at all? / Is this treatise inductive or deductive science? / What historical evidence is there for the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation? / How does science confirm the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation? / Does the treatise have ‘explanatory power’?/ Is this a ‘non-falsifiable’, circular argument?’

Kathy Watson

Wow I had to stop a little ways into part 2 so I could absorb this concept. I think this interview will require me to go through these illuminating facts much more than once. To internalize this requires much deeper thought on my part as my journey as a human being continues.

WTM Admin

It’s wonderful Jeremy Griffith’s explanation is resonating with you Kathy and yes finally having the human condition explained means there is much to process so re-watching THE Interview is exactly what we recommend people do. Also at top of our World Transformation Movement homepage at HumanCondition.com, it states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?’ and guides you through the steps to further explore Jeremy’s explanation. This includes subscribing to our mailing list where you will receive one email per week and occasional News Flashes. Profit AGI

This human condition we now talk about, is it not too late to reverse? Then again, where does God come in, in these new explanation?

WTM Admin

Hi Profit, thank you for your thoughts. The world is fast reaching its 11th hour, but this understanding will turn things around incredibly quickly because it explains and solves the underlying cause of all our selfishness, anger and egocentricity; see WTM FAQ 1.40 ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world?’. And we are getting there! For the growing momentum of support that is building around the world for biologist Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition, see the thousands of impressive commendations Jeremy’s work has received from thought leaders and members of the public and the over 80 WTM Centres that have opened across the globe.     Jeremy’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition at last reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life, a state that we subsequently ‘corrupted’ with the emergence of free will; ‘God’ being explained as the integrative meaning of life, see FAQ 6.2 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is God?’; we also recommend FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God?’. The difference being that we can now with the benefit of science, bring clarifying, first-principle biological explanation to our so-called ‘good and evil’-afflicted human condition and why we had to depart from our original innocence, whilst religion had to rely on metaphor and a more literal interpretation.

Really interesting subject which gives us a lot of understanding to who we are and how we can eventually heal us and the world around us. I will definitely research more and read more about it from now on. 🇬🇮 from Gibraltar

Sandra

Great, so relevant to these times

Cynthia Maganga

I feel that this topic is transformational because a lot of people are suffering lack of knowledge not knowing that it is psychosis

Ruben Brignoni

Wrong! We still have the prime behavior of animals in our genes. The only diferentes is our more developed brain neocortex. The only diferentes is we need education in order to be have civilizado and religious because we are gregarious animals, because alone we would not ever survive naturally. Because personally alone would be impossible survive.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Ruben but we disagree. In THE Interview biologist Jeremy Griffith explains the key biological distinction between humans and other animals is that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. Words used to describe our human behaviour such as egocentric, arrogant, inspired, depressed, deluded, pessimistic, optimistic, artificial, hateful, cynical, mean, sadistic, immoral, brilliant, guilt-ridden, evil, psychotic, neurotic and alienated, all recognise the involvement of OUR species’ fully conscious thinking mind. They demonstrate that there is a psychological dimension to our behaviour; that we don’t suffer from a genetic-opportunism-driven ‘animal condition’, but a conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled HUMAN CONDITION. Jeremy explains the underlying cause for our psychological upset state (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) is the ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash, not ‘survival, must-reproduce-our-genes’ instincts within us. Rather than having “gregarious” or social instincts for survival he explains that humans acquired selfless, all-loving and cooperative instincts. As we know unconditionally selfless genetic traits are self-eliminating, and therefore cannot normally develop in animals—which means animals are not normally able to cooperate beyond situations of reciprocity or kin selection. Part of the brilliance of Jeremy’s treatise is he explains how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process. This is summarised in our FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?’which includes links to where Jeremy explains this in greater detail. Also, our FAQ 7.3 explains in more detail why the ‘group selection’ biology being used to supposedly explain humans’ cooperative instincts (actually ‘selfish’ instincts) is false.     Also, in terms of why we developed religions, the human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained and is reconciled with science. People can read about the different roles and contributions science and religion have made in our FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology why are there religious references’.

❤️🌺Many many congratulation 🌺❤️

Alick.Kaspa

Thank you for your explanations about the human condition.

Lenny

Wow I am totally blown away I did know deep down inside of me that the answer to all this hate in our existing world today was brought upon us as indoctrinated into us since school , and the real cure from all the hate is actually to LOVE , YOU HAVE TO LOVE THEM BACK !!

WTM Admin

Thanks Lenny for your support. You are on a big journey with this information as there is a lot to digest! So take your time. For example, what will become clear is that while we have all learnt that our angry and selfish behaviour was the result of ‘savage genes’ within us, the truth is that we have all needed an excuse for our divisive behaviour. So the cause of our ‘hatred’ wasn’t being taught the ‘savage instincts’ excuse in school, which was just a reaction to the fundamental issue which was the Instinct vs Intellect clash that Jeremy describes. Of course, now that we can truthfully and compassionately explain our behaviour, we can leave those contrived excuses behind.     But you are perfectly right that having this redeeming and reconciling and rehabilitating explanation means that at last we can truly love ourselves and each other because we now know that our non-ideal, destructive behaviour was a heroic response to the insecurity caused by the Instinct vs Intellect clash. We had to suffer becoming corrupt in order to continue the all-important search for knowledge. And most wonderfully, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation are made redundant, which means we are finally in a position to transform the world. In Part 4 of THE Interview, Jeremy explains how the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible, actually occurs.

Geoffrey Forrest

This was a religious lecture, not an interview. I suggest you lecture Putin, Netanyahu, and Trump first. The problem with your lecture is the fact that people will not change their selfish attitudes just like that. On the other hand, what is wrong with goodness coming from selfishness if the results are good. Also, he generalizes everything much too much.Humans are not that simple.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your response Geoffrey. We would just clarify that what is presented is in no way religious. As THE Interview makes clear, there is no dogma, faith or belief involved. This understanding, and the World Transformation Movement which supports it, is the antithesis of a religious system. What is presented is an accountable scientific, first principle-based, rational, testable understanding of the human condition, which has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers around the world, see our Reviews and Commendations page.     With regard to changing people’s selfish attitudes, as Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’ explains it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. See FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ and FAQ 1.38 ‘How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour?’     With regard to your concern that ‘Humans are not that simple’, while it’s true that there are nearly eight billion of us, all with unique personalities, histories and temperaments, biology shows that great diversity doesn’t mean there isn’t also a common underlying cause behind many different surface expressions. For example, despite the vast diversity of human appearances, more than 99.9% of our DNA is shared across all people — showing that outward differences in skin colour, height, or facial features mask deep biological unity. And at the psychological level, it is common knowledge amongst mental health experts that emotional trauma may express itself as anger, anxiety, addiction, or withdrawal — one psychic wound, many coping mechanisms. All that is being explained here is that the ultimate source ‘psychic wound’ has been identified.     Essentially Jeremy Griffith explains that when humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically upset — angry, egocentric and alienated — a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. While each of us lives out our own individual form of it depending on our own encounter with the human condition (which includes our upbringing, our culture etc etc), we can now see that we’re all wrestling with the same internal conflict. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive, egocentric behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

James

Hi I’m very pleased to see this program to wake up humanity. I hope humanity understands this look at themselves and their activities and examine their soul.

Charles Mbingo

Insightful and eye-opening!

Fatu s Baryoun

He is saying the truth, we the human we feel that the proud, the meanness, selfishness is within us as human, it was not program by the God who created us, it’s the unconscious that is in us make the human react like that, that is why God talk about love, but we don’t understand what is love, if we understand what is love we will live together peacefully.

WTM Admin

Thanks Fatu. All we would add is that understanding what love is, has really been about bringing compassionate understanding to our ‘dark side’. We can now understand that despite the “proud, the meanness, selfishness” within us, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour!

Erika

Very Very great insight and understanding 👏 👍 Thank you for the info

Death by Dogma. Want to know more about this book.

WTM Admin

In his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy Griffith focuses on politics and in particular the danger presented by the left wing, which is that its insistence on ideal behaviour oppresses the corrupting, but critcally important search for knowledge. The following is the summary from the back cover: The Left’s dogmatic insistence that everyone behave in a cooperative and loving way makes its advocates feel good but it oppresses and stifles the freedom of expression and individualism needed to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, the redeeming understanding of the human condition that actually brings about a cooperative and loving world. Dogma is not the cure, it’s the poison because it blocks the search for the rehabilitating understanding of ourselves that’s needed to actually save the world. George Orwell’s famous prediction that ‘If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face [the human mind] for ever’ was about to come true — but, mercifully, science has finally made it possible to explain the human condition and so save us from this makes-you-feel-good-but-is-actually-horrifically-selfish-and-deluded left-wing threat of the Death by Dogma extinction of our species!     You can immediately access free electronic copies of Death by Dogma to read, listen to or download. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. (Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.)

Will my Kids be better off, the world has gone so bad, greed, corruption and control, in my 30 years in the UK it’s gone down hilll, I just want to live a free happy life, and make sure they have a free safe life too.

WTM Admin

Good to hear from you Wayne and the world certainly is in a terrifying endgame situation and thankfully this breakthrough has arrived at the 11th hour. At last we have the greater understanding and solution to our selfish and destructive human condition which is the best news ever, especially for children! In a nutshell biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview that when humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established loving moral instincts. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive, egocentric behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition. So the massively relieving situation for everyone, in particular for children and future generations, is we can turn this doomed state around and quickly! This is explained in Part 4 of THE Interview so if you haven’t yet watched this interview that is the place to begin as it’s the ideal introduction to Jeremy’s ‘Instinct vs Intellect’ explanation of the human condition (it’s free at the top of the World Transformation Movement homepage HumanCondition.com). We also suggest FAQs 1.4 – 1.6 as they explain the far-reaching practical, physical applications of this understanding and FAQ 1.40 titled ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?'.

The man from La Mancha song impacts me on how we should be

WTM Admin

Yes, those lyrics are incredibly impacting, because it turns out they perfectly capture the paradox of the human condition. We humans had to persevere with our search for knowledge and suffer the psychologically upset state of being angry, alienated and egocentric until we could find the redeeming explanation for our upset condition of the difference between the gene and nerve-based learning systems — the key insight that reveals that we humans are good and not bad after all. As the words of The Impossible Dream from The Man of La Mancha so beautifully articulate about our paradoxical predicament, humans had “to march into hell for a heavenly cause”.

Pia Lovenson

No one notices those people who have taken the long and challenging path to become one with themselves. They no longer have internal conflicts because they accept themselves for who they really are. That means there is no external conflicts with the rest of the world. Those who have not taken this challenging path have not solved their internal conflicts. That means they have to project their conflicts onto the rest of us. We always notice the loudest people in society. At this present stage of our development we can observe too many people who have internal conflicts and are in positions of power. This phenomenon is being amplified with our modern was of fast communication. This phenomenon is infectious and drives others into this state. We are all connected with one another and the universe.

WTM Admin

Hi Pia, great wisdom can be found in some spiritual practices; indeed, there have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them can or have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition, because they don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. This critical difference is further deal with in FAQ 6.5 ‘Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?’

This has just opened my eyes just at the right while I’m going through a lot of emotional pain. I hope and pray that it’s heals me completely. Thank you.

WTM Admin

Thanks for the feedback Pinky. Yes, what you will find is that with compassionate understanding all our emotional pain is ameliorated. As psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of”.

Morris Munyoro

Feel more relieved than in a long time. Hopefully people will understand where you are coming from. Thats awesome - off the upsetting set.

WTM Admin

Yes, it really is such a relief to finally have the circuit breaker — the relieving understanding of the instinct vs intellect clash that shows we’re not bad after all, that all our ‘upset’ behaviour had a reason. It’s the understanding that ends the guilt and finally allows real peace of mind.

Sheila desmarais

I am proof that everything said here are 100 percent facts. My life has gone from 60 years of despair to knowing, acually knowing how this works, why we are here and what’s happening to our mind. The incredible part is that we can all do it right because we all had it so very wrong!

John

I felt uncomfortable with the way the interview was managed. The interviewer started by saying he had read his book and took it with him everywhere. In that case, why was it that so much of what was said was treated as a revelaton? I was not convinced by the bird migration analogy. Any species will adhere to traditional behaviour because that behaviour has proven itself to ensure survival of the species. Minor deviations from that behaviour are probably tolerated and classified as evolutionary when it is possible to revert to traditional behaviour. Major deviations from that behaviour are regarded as revolutionary and potentially dangerous when bridges are burned and there is no going back to safety when things go wrong. The Japanese are credited with the principle of kaizen i.e. significant positive results being achieved through many small consecutive improvements. I think the analogy is flawed!

WTM Admin

The interviewer Craig Conway did say at the beginning of the interview he was so impressed with biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition he took Jeremy’s book FREEDOM with him everywhere. Given Craig is an internationally acclaimed actor, writer, producer and director it is not surprising he wanted to use his skills as a communicator to share what he, and many others (see commendations from leading scientists and thinkers for Jeremy’s treatise here on our website), see as critical new science that solves the critical issue of the human condition. Craig says “the now dire need in the world for a deeper, lasting solution to all the chaos and suffering in human life. And this deeper enduring solution is actually what this biologist I’m about to interview is going to provide us with”. So it’s hard to see why that makes you feel “uncomfortable” given Craig’s forthright explanation of his interest.     In terms of the Adam Stork analogy (the analogy Jeremy uses in Part 2 to explain how the instinct vs intellect clash caused the human condition) what Jeremy explains is in line with what you have written so it is unclear why you think the analogy is flawed. Jeremy explains that instincts (what you refer to as “traditional behaviour “) adapt or ‘learn’ over a long period of time, to quote: “instinctive orientations to the migratory flight path were acquired over thousands of generations of natural selection”. So yes “minor deviations” are tolerated and “major deviations” are “potentially dangerous” and “bridges are burnt” and “there is no going back to safety” or in other words the individual doesn’t survive so instincts have been selected that don’t tolerate that amount of deviation. Jeremy goes further in his analogy and explains the source of our human condition saying “If we think about it, if an animal was to become fully conscious, like we humans became, then that animal’s new self-managing, understanding-based conscious mind would surely have to challenge its pre-existing instinctive orientations to the world, wouldn’t it? A battle would have to break out between the emerging conscious mind that operates from a basis of understanding cause and effect and the non-understanding instincts that have always controlled and dictated how that animal behaves.”     Also, as discussed in THE Interview, other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) have recognised the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition but what was missing from the analysis of all these other thinkers was the ability to explain WHY this conflict occurred—which is that while gene-based naturally selected instincts give species orientations to the world, only the nerve-based conscious intellect can understand cause and effect and thus manage change; so when the fully conscious mind emerged and began managing change from a basis of understanding the instincts were in effect intolerant of such experiments, putting them at odds with the intellect. This understanding of WHY the conflict between our instincts and intellect occurred that Jeremy presents is all-important because it is only this clarifying, redeeming and reconciling explanation of the nature of the struggle between our instinctive self and conscious self that at last brings peace to our divided selves, and transforms the human race, see FAQ 1.13 ‘‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’.

Incredible news to be shared publicly. Let’s begin from here and consistently. Well done and well said.

Douglas Hume

The human condition can only be solved through faith in Jesus Christ. Only He can solve the world’s problems. The human condition is predicated on the fact that men and woman are in enmity against God, Individuals need to be regenerated by the power of the Holy Spirit. Consider the fact that you have a sin problem which will condemn you to eternal punishment.. turn to Christ and believe on Him for forgiveness of sins.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Douglas and we certainly respect people’s religious views and wanted to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in religion or God. In terms of Christianity and Christ, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in Freedom Essay 39. The human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts (explained in FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is a biological explanation why are there religious references?’). For instance Jeremy explains in this interview Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were actually ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. People may be interested in our FAQs about religion, especially 6.2 ‘What is God’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

Lucy

Very curious

WTM Admin

We welcome your curiosity Lucy! The best place to start is to watch THE Interview, in which Jeremy Griffith presents his breakthrough ‘instinct v intellect’ explanation of the human condition. Part 1 of this interview presents the explanation as quickly and simply as possible and FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition. Happy exploring Lucy!

All sounds so fictional - i live in Africa we have millions of backward badly if any educated people who’s only goal is survival - there’s no time or thoughts about a new world of loving peaceful people - you have to look at Graves spiral to see where we are and the thoughts of utopia you talk about are generations upon generations away - so if you want tell us in Africa how to obtain this utopia you better have a very practical plan that elevates hunger whilst bringing about utopia.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your understandable concerns around how will these insights help those people in greatest need. In terms of the utterly horrific situation currently in Africa, without the explanation of the human condition it is insoluble, but astonishingly, what people discover is that what biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in this interview (specifically, that humans have an innocent past, and without being able to understand why, the longer we have been involved in the search for knowledge, the more we corrupted it, and the incredible shame we have felt over that, the more psychologically upset and selfish we became) does explain and resolve such horror because it addresses and solves what is causing it. For instance all the problems in the world that we are facing like over population, poverty, starvation, lack of education, runaway diseases, gross inequality, ‘racial’ and gender oppression, polarised politics, rampant corruption and other crimes, drug abuse, family breakdown, and epidemic levels of chronic anxiety, depression, unhappiness and loneliness, are all symptoms of this deeper problem. So unlike Clare Graves theory that proposes humans develop new systems to cope with existential problems we are suggesting that to truly solve these problems we need to address and fix the underlying issue responsible for these problems, which is the human condition – our corrupted, psychologically upset state and this is precisely what Jeremy has delivered with his first principle-based biological understanding of the human condition, see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding the human condition solve everything’. As Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, recognised, “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from, which is non-personal and thus more easily confronted, absorbed and accepted. It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of”, see FAQ 1.34.     And, as THE Interview also explains in Part 4, this can solve problems very quickly because instead of us being preoccupied with proving ourselves artificially (through seeking power, fame, fortune and glory) all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world, see FAQ 1.40 ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world?’. Also Freedom Essays 28 and 29 are about how this ends racism and conflict in the world.     It is important to clarify that Jeremy’s work is not an idealistic plea for utopia or for everyone to just behave cooperatively, it is a biological defence of realism. THE Interview explains why imposing artificial or pseudo idealism does not work and further explains pseudo-idealism in its current forms now actually threatens humanity because it “stifled and oppressed the search for the understanding of our corrupted condition that was needed to actually free us from that state”. This critical difference between Jeremy’s work and pseudo-idealism is further explained in FAQ 6.5 ‘Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?’.     Explanation of the human condition presents a massive paradigm shift in how we view ourselves and the world so there is much to digest here but we hope this reply helps with your consideration of this understanding Art and you might find the outstanding commendations Jeremy’s work has received from leading scientists and thinkers attesting to it explanatory power here on our website encouraging.

Thank you Jeremy for sharing this most important article to the world.

Abdul RASHID

So our consciousness faced tremendous resistance from our animal instincts, for which our immature consciousness state had no explanation to set ourselves free from dictorial, instinctive nature, which consequently resulted in mental termoil?

WTM Admin

Yes, without the real defence for why we had to defy our instincts, the intellect became insecure and defensive. It attacked the criticism, became preoccupied with proving its worth, and it blocked out the criticism; we became angry, egocentric and alienated. At last we have the real defence for our behaviour, which means all those artificial defences are now redundant.

About the bonobos: Have you thought about the gender here? All the people you are quoting in this programe are men. But when it comes to the apes, its finally women you are mentioning. Maybe you should give that a thought...

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Vilde. Yes, Jeremy Griffith deals with the different roles of men and women at great length. For example, what is explained in Parts 1 and 3 of THE Interview is that while our distant human ancestors were peaceful and matriarchal just like bonobos, with the emergence of the conscious mind, and the subsequent emergence of the human condition, we not only became psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated, but the focus shifted from a nurturing based matriarchy society, to the need to find knowledge, which is why our species became patriarchal. As Jeremy explains in chapter 7:3 of his definitive book FREEDOM: “humanity’s matriarchal structure came to an end when our ignorant, ideal-behaviour-demanding instinctive self began to criticise our conscious mind’s search for knowledge and men, in their role as group protectors, had to take up the battle of resisting that naive, idealistic criticism from our instinctive self that was threatening to stop the maturation of humanity from ignorance to enlightenment. At this point, the patriarchal society that has existed for the last 2 million years came into being.”     Most importantly, at the heart of this explanation is the revelation that all our astonishingly selfish and brutal behaviour, especially on the part of men, has been an unavoidable consequence of humans’ necessary search for self-knowledge. And with men being primarily charged with the corrupting task of finding knowledge, it makes sense that most of the quotes are from men. Now we have understanding of our human-condition-psychosis which is shared by all humans, women are finally able to reason and see that what men have been doing on this planet has been actually the most meaningful and heroic job of all. This insight finally allows a real reconciliation between men and women. Read more about men and women in chapter 8:11B of FREEDOM. As molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald says in her commendation of Jeremy’s work: “because Griffith’s work establishes the equal worth or goodness of all humans we can now understand the different roles that men and women have traditionally played in the human journey and this is actually the unlocking point, this is what brings about deep empathy for each other, it heals the divide.” You can watch/read this Video/Freedom Essay 9 titled ‘This is the real liberation of women’.

Dr María-Helena Marconell

Thank you, I don’t understand how it has taken so long for humans to understand nature. The birds in my garden, my few trees and shrubs seem to be with me as companions not as isolated beings. In fact, a robin may have lived in my garden over 10 years. I can prove it. I’m glad there’s a theory that unites us all more.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Dr Marconell. Our alienation from the natural world is a major and obvious symptom of the human condition. It in turn is symptom of the more personal question of why we as a species are so psychologically ‘upset’. Why when the universal ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish, to the extent that we have nearly destroyed ourselves and our natural world? Answering this fundamental question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.

I listened to this information and despite everything that was said, I can find all the same answers and so very much more in Jehovah God’s word, the Holy Scriptures.

WTM Admin

While Christianity and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents – which actually reconciles science and religion. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work, as well as our FAQs on Religion generally.

Daniel murdoch

What is the human condition and how did you solve it?

WTM Admin

As Jeremy Griffith explained in THE Interview, we humans once lived in a nurtured-with-unconditional-love, cooperative, selfless and loving innocent state, which the bonobo species of ape is presently on the threshold of achieving (see FAQ 5.2 for the explanation of how we humans acquired our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience). If we stand back and think about this original cooperative, selfless and loving state and then think about how competitive, selfish and aggressive we humans are now, the contrast between the two states couldn’t be greater. And if we think about that extreme contrast and then think about the situation we have been stuck in for some 2 million years where we haven’t been able to explain our so-called ‘fall from grace’, the corruption of our original all-sensitive and all-loving, innocent instinctive self or soul, then how deeply traumatised with guilt and shame must we humans have been all that time! Certainly, we learnt to block the horror of this situation out of our mind, but that has been the underlying psychological predicament we humans have been enduring. So having had to live with this insufferable, unbearably depressing guilt and shame for having destroyed the magic world of our soul is what the human condition really is!      FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established cooperative instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric – the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

The interview compelled me to buy the book FREEDOM. I needed that information from the age of fourteen and revise it over and over again until my 20s . It simply wasn’t available sixty years ago. The truth was smothered.

WTM Admin

It’s wonderful that you now have the truthful information you have sought since you were a teenager, Howard! The truth was not smothered, per se, it was unavailable because, as Professor Harry Prosen pointed out in his Introduction to FREEDOM, "the truth is, the issue of the human condition has been so depressing for virtually all humans that only a rare few individuals in history have been sound and secure enough in self to go anywhere near what the human condition really is. So for Jeremy [Griffith] to so freely and accurately talk about it as he does in this book, he clearly must be one of those rare few. Nurtured by a sheltered upbringing in the Australian ‘bush’ (countryside), Jeremy’s soundness and resulting extraordinary integrity and thus clarity of thought, coupled with his training in biology, has enabled him to successfully grapple with this most foreboding of all subjects for the human mind of the human condition and produce the breakthrough, human-behavior-demystifying-and-ameliorating explanation of it.”     We also wanted to mention that people can immediately access a free copy of FREEDOM and all of his books on the World Transformation Movement’s homepage in the ‘WHAT NEXT’ section. Just click on the covers of the books to access your free electronic copy to read, listen to or download. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon.

All very well, but we can’t just undo the minds of all these religious fanatics who have war and dominance ingrained into their DNA

WTM Admin

David, as is explained in Part 1 of THE Interview, humans’ angry and alienated behaviour is not a product of unchangeable savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by a clash between our instinct and intellect, and significantly a psychosis can be healed with understanding. At last we can understand we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. Certainly there will be individuals with fundamentalist world-views who will find it hard to access this rational, scientific understanding of the human condition, but as support and momentum continues to build, the selfless love and energy it generates will solve our problems very quickly. See See FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

Congratulations, you just gave every human in the world the excuse they needed to never take responsibility for themselves again. Human condition is the choice between good and evil. Adam is a constant reminder of what happens when you disobey God.

WTM Admin

What is explained is that the absolutely horrific psychologically upset state of the human condition has created an extremely frustrated and ferociously angry ‘dark side’ in humans, which has meant we are capable of ‘evil’ or terrible acts.     But to quote FAQ 4.2, "what is so utterly exonerating and psychologically healing about our ability now to understand the human condition is that we can finally appreciate that there was a very good reason for our angry, egocentric and alienated lives—in fact, we can now see why our species has not just been ego-centric, but ego-infuriated, even ego-gone-mad-with-murderous-rage for having to live with so much unjust criticism/guilt, for some 2 million years. At long last we have the reason for humans’ capacity for shocking acts of cruelty, sadism, hate, murder and warfare—we now know the source of the dark volcanic forces in us humans.     And with the ability now to explain and understand that all humans are good and not bad, all the upset that resulted from not being able to explain the source of our divisive condition is able to subside and disappear. Finding understanding of the human condition is what rehabilitates and transforms the human race from its psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated condition.     Importantly, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction ‘evil’, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it—and, in the short term, to transcend all that upset and take up a transformed life in complete support of an anger, egocentricity and alienation-free world."

I know my mental condition and physical condition but no way to find out and remove the negative sides

WTM Admin

Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition explains that we have had to block out the whole depressing issue of the human condition, and instead lead an evasive, denial-practising, avoid-any-criticism, escapist, alienated, superficial and artificial existence. So it has been very hard for us to identify the “negative sides” of our behaviour and personality. However, as Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’ explains, at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. As the distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen (who wrote the Introduction to Jeremy’s book FREEDOM) said: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin” (see FAQ 1.34).

Yes as biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview we have had a block to thinking about the human condition because it has historically been such a fearful and therefore off-limits subject. As Jeremy says “having to live in denial of the human condition has blocked our access to so many reasonably obvious truths”. Wonderfully, as you have discovered, now the human condition has been compassionately explained it dissolves that “mind block” and an avalanche answers is released explaining everything about human life!!

Thank you for your thoughts Diana. There is a lot to absorb in this interview so we hope this reply helps. The essential fact or rule of natural selection is that genes have to be selfish to reproduce, so there is a fundamental limit to the amount of selfless, loving behaviour genes can develop. The brilliance of biologist Jeremy Griffith’s treatise is he explains how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process, which produced our all-loving, altruistic instincts—in fact Jeremy explains it was mother’s maternal love that gave us our moral soul and created humanity! Jeremy presents this in Part 3 of THE Interview using the example of the extraordinarily cooperative and maternal bonobos, who have developed this ‘love-indoctrination’ process to a lesser degree. To quote Jeremy from Part 3: “To explain what is so significant about a mother’s nurturing of her offspring, I first need to point out that a mother’s maternal instinct to care for her offspring is selfish because she is ensuring the reproduction of her genes by ensuring the survival of offspring who carry her genes. So maternalism is a selfish trait, which, as I’ve just said, genetic traits normally have to be for them to reproduce and carry on into the next generation. HOWEVER, and this is all-important, from the infant’s perspective maternalism does have the appearance of being selfless. From the infant’s perspective, it is being treated unconditionally selflessly—the mother is giving her offspring food, warmth, shelter, support and protection for apparently nothing in return. So it follows that if the infant can remain in infancy for an extended period and be treated with a lot of seemingly altruistic love, it will be indoctrinated with that selfless love and grow up to behave accordingly. So selfish maternalism can train an infant in altruistic selflessness. (Freedom Essay 21 on our World Transformation Movement’s website, and chapter 5 of FREEDOM explain this ‘love-indoctrination’ process, as we call it, more fully.)” Also our FAQ 5.2 provides a summary of this ‘love-indoctrination’ process.
