Very helpful for all human beings living on Earth
Prof. Srinivasa Kunuthur
Land, water, air, fire, and sky are the basic elements of origin of life on the Planet Earth. Their quality decides the quality of the living resources which include the human species.
Thus, both body and mind of humans are dependent on the said resources.
Human condition and behaviour continue to undergo change purely based on the changes which take place as for the land, water, air, fire, and sky.
Therefore, the maximum responsibility lies with the humans to save, protect, and efficiently manage the said resources of the Planet Earth with a spirit of “Give to Receive”, and “Live and Let Live” involving plant, animal, and human species.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Yes, but the question screaming to be answered is since this is the case why would we choose to behave in the completely opposite way? This is the point or question of the human condition and to answer it we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when these universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. This required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work and that is the great biological breakthrough biologist Jeremy Griffith presents.
As Part 4, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’ explains, at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world.

What’s the point?
FIX THE WORLD Admin
All the problems in the world that we are facing like over population, environmental devastation, genocide, terrorism, mass displacement of peoples, starvation, runaway diseases, gross inequality, ‘racial’ and gender oppression, polarised politics, rampant corruption and other crimes, drug abuse, family breakdown, and epidemic levels of obesity, chronic anxiety, depression, unhappiness and loneliness, are all symptoms of a deeper problem. We are suggesting that to truly solve the world’s problems we need to address and fix the underlying issue responsible for these problems, which is the human condition – our corrupted, psychologically upset state. Fixing that is the point.

All do wonderful. Isn’t this explaining the westerners psychy, the English invaded Australia, New Zealand (which was certainly called differently by locals), America north and south and numerous islands... All this without expressing sorrow nor expressing any excuses toward local people.. in this “wonderful talk” Mr Griffith exactly describes the western mind and psychy.. with all the horror westerners inflicted on other people’s in the world. In understanding and solving the “savage instinct” whites applied when meeting other humans of a different kind. Whites never looked for peace but controlling others (stupid Instinct?)... USA has never been a westerners land but was invaded by them and killing all amerindians.
All Griffith explains is the White man’s mind and covers it up as “we humans”.. etc.. etc.. excusing UK and US agressions in this world... Till this day,.. President Trump préparés war with China.. obviously having no diplomatic skills, USA is the biggest aggressor in the world... Mr. Griffith

FIX THE WORLD Admin
At last with Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition we can understand WHY we are so destructive, greedy and oppressive. Which means we can now explain that the more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups), like indigenous peoples, have not been as exposed to humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge as less sheltered races, and so they aren’t as psychologically upset as those less sheltered races. So yes, more sheltered races have more affinity with our instinctive soulful, cooperative way of living and nature and are therefore not as “brutal and competitive” as more upset races. However, all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. Also, most significantly, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this understanding puts an end to racism and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, and Refentse Molosiwa, of South Africa, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.
Finally, in Addendum 2 of his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy explains why the Judeo-Christian Western culture, like the right-wing in politics, has been one of the main targets for rejection by the pseudo idealistic, politically correct, ‘woke’, identity politics, cancel culture movement — but that it has finally delivered the explanation of the human condition that the whole world has been so desperately waiting for.

Thank you for opening my eyes to know why human sometimes we are being up and down. From London UK Barkingside.
Marie
I’ve been so sad for so long and now I’m beginning to understand the reason. Thank you
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Hi Marie. The core breakthrough of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can now know that our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. That is the overarching comforting truth that loves and unites all humans now and we can look after ourselves and others with great compassion, love and kindness. As discussed in THE Interview, without the defence of our fundamental goodness, the human condition has been an unbearably confronting and off-limits subject so even though explanation of our condition brings tremendous relief it does introduce an entirely new framework of knowledge, a massive paradigm shift in how we view ourselves and our world, so we recommend people take it slowly in themselves as it does take time to fully digest and integrate such a shift in thinking. This caution against overly confronting the upset within us is something everyone needs to be mindful of but especially those who have struggled with psychological instability or mental health issues, as our FAQ 1.19 explains.

Interesting & insightful interpretation.
Michael K. Moseley, PhD.
And beneath the selfishness and biological predisposition is the defeat of accountability for criminal, national and international conduct. There has been and continues to be, a war declared on any means of accountability by legal standards. The psychological explanation is for addiction to the accumulation of wealth and power, than the personality disorders of narcissism and psychopathic deviance. This can be clearly seen among world leaders who commit crimes with impunity. There is no other understanding. Without justice, there is not othe explanation, or excuse, for justice that has failed globally.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
We suggest that the more you digest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, the more you will realise how accountable it is in getting to the source of all humanity’s psychological upset, which in the extreme, produces people who are capable of so called ‘evil’. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’.
Copper
There is nothing that I haven’t learned from this interview that I have already learned from the Bible. Adam and Eve were created different from animals having the qualities foremost of love, justice, ( conscious) application of knowledge and power. Also they the gift of free will in using those attributes. And they made progress in astronomy , cultivating, mathematics and making fire and cooked food and instruments or tools. Their capacity for learning is unlimited. But just as they had to live by the physical laws of nature, they also had to use their free will in a positive manner as to recognize their moral dependence on the Creator for guidance. When they rejected the Creator for dependence on moral principles, they genetically altered their own bodies. They could grow old sick and die. Also their wrong choices afftected their brains condition where now they became slaves to wrong thinking and behaviour despite their conscious. And because since all humans , came from Adam, then we all inherited an imperfect body and mind. We still have free will but it can be a struggle to do the right thing. And the appeal of short term gain by selfishly taking advantage of others brought many people to decide to be morally bad. Which we are seeing more and more in our society. All humanoids, modern man, Neathendreals, or Deneai people that we share in our genetic code came from Adam and Eve. Science proves that because we have interbreed with other human branches that some became extinct through various and perhaps unanswered causes to be discovered. Now this doctor says they have the answer, but he most recognize that not all people will choose to do the right thing. Many will deliberately choose against it because of the benefits of selfishness if they have the power to do so. And Humans have also shown they lack the wisdom of governing themselves let alone over other people. Unless the Creator takes direct control over human affairs ( Not Religion) there won’t be peac
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thanks for your comment Copper. It does take a little time to fully absorb what THE Interview presents as explaining ‘free will’ is central to the presentation. Using the Adam Stork story, it explains that in order to master or champion our free will the conscious mind did have to defy or ignore our instincts, and it was this defiance of our instincts that resulted in humans becoming angry, egocentric and alienated — the psychological upset state of our human condition.
At last we can understand we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it.
Finally, it is important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. People may like to explore our FAQs about religion, in particular FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.
Jesse
Whatever became of SIN?
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your interest Jesse. In THE Interview biologist Jeremy Griffith not only explains what sin is and where it comes from, but also how we are not bad for having become self-corrupted – this is, in fact, the very essence of his treatise. For example, in Part 2 Jeremy explains how the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! This understanding fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. With this understanding we can finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. We suggest our FAQs about religion and also our blog post What is ‘Sin’.It is important to clarify that this explanation does not condone upset or so called sinful behavior; the full compassionate understanding ameliorates it, allowing such behavior to subside, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’.

In knowing we are pschologically damaged it would take a lot of time and effort to correct this. I co not believe humans will ever get together to serve this. I know it is pessimistic but people are individually damaged emotionally.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
As Part 4, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’ explains it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.4 about ‘How can you hope to transform the world?'
Adam Caldwell
I cannot begin with to describe the relief this interview gave me today. Living in America, as a very unhappy gay man for the last 50 years, I have always placed myself as the person who caused my grief. As information began to be slowly made available if one was looking hard enough, I added insanity as another one of my chief issues. But if I can make changes and the world allows me to make the changes that can provide almost instant relief and a solid road to recovery, I am forever indebted to this organization and all the brave people who were part. You have quite literally saved my life. I don’t know where else to say but thank you!
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your very moving comment Adam and it is wonderful you’ve come across THE Interview as yes finally being able to understand the battle between our instinct and intellect is immensely relieving. The burden of the human condition has caused so much unbearable suffering for humans it has been a deeply tragic reality. It has required so much courage which you obviously have lots of. This caution against overly confronting the upset within us is something everyone needs to be mindful of but especially those who have struggled with psychological instability or mental health issues, as our FAQ 1.19 explains. Sending you all our good wishes Adam and thank you again for sharing your experience with this understanding.

I’m only ten minutes in , but I recognized [the nature of human conscience and consciousness] as the basis for understanding the human condition.
I recognized it because CS Lewis recognized this natural state is also the basis for a logical understanding of the existence of God…
I DON’T that is a coincidence.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Yes, C.S. Lewis was an extraordinarily insightful writer and thinker, but we suggest that our endeavours in art, philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation for why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative, are we so selfish and divisive. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. We suggest Video/Freedom Essay 4 which expands further on other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition.
And the “coincidence” can be explained. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. Read more in our FAQs on relgion.
Mark Anderson
Before listening to this interview, I think I lost hope in humanity, because it seems the world we live in has fallen into such a hateful place, with divisive politics in full rage, and human greed and suffering gone completely awry. But now I have come to understand that there is a way out from this turmoil! Human beings are good and loving, and we all must embrace this fundamental part of the human condition that we now understand about ourselves! We as humans have an instintual gift to be compassionate and loving of all things. We must embrace our good and not confuse it for bad or evil. This interview should be heard by everyone. There is hope for us!
Michael
Explain to me in simple terms? The Human Condition?
FIX THE WORLD Admin
We recommend our FAQ 1.1 ‘What is the human condition?’ in which it is explained that the human condition is the immensely mentally insecure and psychologically distressed state that all humans have suffered from as a result of a clash between our species’ original non-understanding, dictatorial, instinctive orientations to the world, and our newer fully conscious mind that needs to understand the world to operate. Humans have been terrified of the human condition because, without understanding its biological cause, we had no defence against the shame of our corruption of our species’ original cooperative and loving innocent state.
Simon
This should be taught at primary school . Instinct versus conscious intellect would help us understand our internal battle with ourselves.
Charles
I’ve been waiting for something like this all my life. I’m 70 living in the Laguna Beach California area and after extensive LSD use I thought I knew it all, Just kidding. I wish this was an addendum in the Quran. ✝️
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thanks for the great comment Charles. Yes, what people discover is Jeremy Griffith’s work actually reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. In fact, it presents the fulfilment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves, see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.

What is so significant about the explanation of the human conditon is that this understanding brings ‘love’ to our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour!

Is Jeremy a decendent of Ireland
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your interest Biddy! Yes Jeremy Griffith is of Irish and Welsh ancestry which you can read about in Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM par 1036 where he writes: “I do know my great-great-great grandfather John? Griffith was an Anglican who lived in Cootehill, County Cavan in Ireland. (Also, my grandfather Lionel Griffith married Louisa Bevan who was the daughter of Frederick Bevan, a Canon in the Anglican church who came to Australia from Ireland and whose ancestors came from Wales in the latter half of the 1600s during The Plantations period.) And I know that my great-great grandfather Thomas Griffith adventured from Ireland to the Caribbean (where the homestead on his sugarcane plantation in St Croix is now a museum), and that the generation that followed after him came to Australia where in the country town of Albury my great grandfather Charles Griffith built the biggest stock and station agency outside of the capital cities, and that two generations after that, my father Norman Griffith (who was a bold Z Special Unit commando sent to thwart the Japanese advance at Manus Island, north of New Guinea in the Second World War) set out without any financial inheritance and developed a sheep station near Mumbil in central west New South Wales and managed to send his four sons to the then soul-cultivating and prestigious (and expensive) Geelong Grammar School in Victoria.”

I’m amazed that the eraser of racism isn’t considered as a major hurdle in fixing the human condition. The world can’t handle the existence of any additional white ppl.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
We can now see that racism is a symptom of the human condition, not its cause or “a major hurdle in fixing the human condition.” What is explained in THE Interview is that the longer an individual human, or even a ‘race’ (ethnic group) of humans, was exposed to the great battle that humanity has been heroically waging against ignorance, the more they would suffer from the upset state of the angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. While it is true that some European ‘races’ have been more exposed to the battle than some other ‘races’, it is not correct to say that the human condition is a “white” person, or European condition – all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are, therefore, nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged.
Also, in Addendum 2 of his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy explains why the Judeo-Christian Western culture, like the right-wing in politics, has been one of the main targets for rejection by the pseudo idealistic, politically correct, ‘woke’, identity politics, cancel culture movement — but that it has finally delivered the explanation of the human condition that the whole world has been so desperately waiting for.

Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. You can only fix you, you cannot fix the world and its people!
I listened to the interview, its interesting in parts but not that new.
I do agree the world is a mess just now, and has been for many years but how to fix it, difficult one, yes change/alter human thinking but not easy when you have such a wide ranging population, young, old, rich, poor, etc. each has a different need, and you can’t satisfy all!
I’m not being disrespectful or even critical, I’m just thinking out loud!
FIX THE WORLD Admin
That is absolutely fine Aubrey – we want people to honestly discuss this idea. With regard to the idea that you can “only fix you, you cannot fix the world”, we suggest the more you digest this presentation, the more you realise that the human condition is behind all our actions and motivations, including our greed, indifference, need for power and general destructiveness. The point is that all that destrucitve behaviour is a symptom of our insecure, human condition afflicted state, something we all suffer from. It follows that if you address that underlying insecurity, then all our destructive behaviour will subside. And that is what this understanding does – it addresses and solves that universal core insecurity about our self-worth.
Secondly, once this starts to catch on, it will catch on like wildfire because nothing in the world can compare to the excitement and joy of finally being liberated from the human condition. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change very difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world.

Jeannette
Read the book it’s enlightening!!
Cynthia
Wait. But I thought you said in the beginning that we were NOT instinctively aggressive and competitive millions of years ago when we began to evolve. That this explanation was an excuse for our behavior. Then, when giving the explanation of Adam the stork, you say that his consciousness conflicted with his primitive instincts. Which is it? Were we instinctively good or bad?
Also, your being a biologist hampers your understanding of consciousness; it is not an invention (by whom or what?); it is the source of everything that is. This is pure physics.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
The explanation does represent a bit of a paradigm shift Cynthia, so you need to take you time to absorb it. Yes, what is being explained is that our original instincts are cooperative and loving, but then when the intellect emerged, those cooperative and loving instincts could not help but resist the intellect’s necessary experiments in self-management. In the face of that ‘criticism’ from the instincts, the intellect became insecure and defensive. We became angry toward the criticism; we became preoccupied with trying to prove our worth ie we became egocentric; and we tried to block that criticism out - we became alienated.
With regard to quantum physics and consciousness, we suggest that until the humans’ apparently divisive behaviour was defended, we haven’t been able to properly acknowledge the integrative meaning behind existence, and science in particular, with its mechanistic, reductionist approach, has denied this negative entropy driven Integrative Meaning. Being subconsciously aware that mechanistic science hasn’t been presenting the full truth, many people embraced quantum physics with its recognition of entanglement and interconnectedness to fill that void. However, as THE Interview explains, the real issue that had to be dealt with if we were to solve the world’s problems and heal the human race was our destructively behaved, so-called human condition. We needed science to answer the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? It is this age-old question of questions that biologist Jeremy Griffith has solved with his instinct vs intellect explanation. (We recommend Chapter 7 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM which provides a comprehensive explanation of how full consciousness developed in humans as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process which is absolutely fascinating).
Alemayehu
I really appreciate Jeremys interview.
Jacalyn petty
This is very interesting however, how do you reconcile your statement that man is basically good with the book of Genesis6:5which states, every imagination of the thoughts of mans heart was only evil contiuosly?
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thanks for your question Jacalyn. The central tenet of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and that the source of our aggression is a psychosis that has been compounding ever since the instinct and intellect clashed some 2 million years ago. With regard to the characterisation of man as “evil” in the book of Genesis, as THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve from the book of Genesis is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts. When the conscious mind emerged, we had to search for knowledge in order to learn how to use this wonderful tool for self, management, however, when we inevitably deviated from our naturally selected orientations, those instincts in effect criticised the conscious mind, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! You can read about the reconciliation of science and religion that is now possible in FAQ 1.15, and you might be interested in all our FAQs about religion.

Thank You Jeremy For Sharing Your Research Findings To Improve The World Condition & Bring Hope To Humanity.

I am very interested on the factors affecting our societies and knowledge on how to fix some problems and atleast understanding how to fix it could be of a greater use
FIX THE WORLD Admin
As our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’ explains, all the problems in the world like overpopulation, environmental devastation, genocide, terrorism, mass displacement of peoples, starvation, runaway diseases, gross inequality, ‘racial’ and gender oppression, polarised politics, rampant corruption and other crimes, drug abuse, family breakdown, and epidemic levels of obesity, chronic anxiety, depression, unhappiness and loneliness etc etc, are all symptoms of a deeper problem. So to truly solve the world’s problems we need to address and fix the underlying issue responsible for these problems, the human condition —our corrupted, psychologically upset state. Only the psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real explanation of the human condition can stop the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look, and this is precisely what biologist Jeremy Griffith has delivered with his first principle-based biological understanding of the human condition. As well as Part 1 of THE Interview a brief summary of this understanding can be found in Video/Freedom Essay 3. We hope you pursue your interest Jonas.

Are we a spectacle unto the world? May GOD help us to be a spectacle unto the world. We shall see the results when we get to HEAVEN. We are made spectacle to ANGELS, AND TO MEN, and make EXHIBITION of oneself. SO WE ARE NOT EVIL, WE ARE UPSET towards life, esp. ourselfs for being bad, harmful and having a MALICIOUS look to do material harm, doing SIN instead of FIXING THE WORLD for we good nad not bad to become WHOLE. We really need to understand the HUMAN CONDITION which is corrupted . GODS LUV TO WORLD AND PEACE WITHIN US.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you Waldo. Yes, you will find that Jeremy Griffith’s treatise will resonate with your familiarity with religious scripture, because it reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts such as innocence, sin and ‘Judgment Day’, etc. In fact, what people discover is it is the fulfilment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves – see our FAQs on religion.

This interview has confirmed this feeling I’ve had my whole life. I’ve always had an astounding Love for trees, rocks, animals, and most humans. As a child, I could not understand how we, as humans, could be mean, or cruel. My Love for living things is so intense, I feel if we can all search within ourselves for that original unconditional Love for all life, we will heal and get back to prospering like we were meant live! Thank you! I no longer feel alone with my observation and thoughts. There is hope for us!
Bernice
It’s hard to understand. I wish it could be broken down so everyone could understand.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your comment Bernice. While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1) THE Interview also explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Wonderfully however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance, and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! This is further explained our FAQ 1.16 ‘Why can’t I understand what this is all about, please send me an executive summary’ and we also suggest FAQ 1.3 which presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition. Sending you lots of encouragement Bernice and we hope you have these FAQs helpful.

Imo the answer is learn to love and stop the hatred.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for you thoughts Joseph but we suggest you need to look deeper because, as THE Interview explains, our inability to love and our capacity to hate, are symptoms of our insecure human condition, so ultimately, to reform those behaviours we have to end that underlying insecurity, get to the core of the problem and fix that which is what Jeremy Griffith has done and presents here in THE Interview. What is explained is that our emerging conscious mind came into conflict with our pre-established all-loving and moral instincts, causing us to become insecure and psychologically upset – see FAQ 1.3 for a nutshell summary.
Biswanath Lahiri
I come to sense from the bits of understanding, sporadic though, that his theorisation of the moral aspect far ago anticipated in the ancient Indian literatures of Vedas and Upanishads which have later been simplified by many personalities like Swami Vivekananda and his Master Ramakrishna Paramahansa and also people like Rabindranath Tagore.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your comment Biswanath. While ancient texts can contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Solving the human condition required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough that Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and why so many herald it as being able to save the world. (You can see the commendations Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thought leaders on our Commendations page). As Jeremy explains in Part 2 of THE Interview, “while it has been recognised—even from ancient times—that the emergence of our conscious mind somehow caused us to ‘fall from grace’, or however you want to describe the corruption of our original innocent cooperative, selfless and loving instinctive state, it wasn’t until science revealed the difference between the gene-based and nerve-based learning systems—which is that genes can orientate but nerves need to understand—that we were finally in a position to explain the good reason for our angry, egocentric and alienated human condition… we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it.” You might find our FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ of interest.

I have been studying and participating in various spiritual paths, especially the non-dual ones lately like Christian Science course and Miracles and The Way of mastery. All of them are really focused on Truth, Love,Life as Creator Source … thank you for creating verbiage that allows people who don’t like the word, God, Lord, or all of those spiritual entities as the ground of our being…
With great appreciation,
Tara Fullmer
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thanks for the feedback Tara. We did want to say that there is a huge difference between Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise and the various “spiritual paths” you mention, for example the ‘Course in Miracles’ beyond just providing a scientific explanation of the “spiritual entities as the ground of our being”. This profound difference is articulated in this comment on Video/Freedom Essay 9 by subscriber Lesley Davies. Lesley said: “I can now see why A Course in Miracles didn’t work for me. I completed the 365 day course three years running to try and heal myself from deep depression and anxiety. After reading essay 15 and studying Freedom it becomes clear that without the explanation of WHY we are so upset ACIM can only act as a sticky plaster with the ‘scream’ still going on underneath.”
FAQ 6.5 further explains how our enlightenment depended on confronting and biologically explaining why we became so upset and stresses this huge difference between Jeremy’s work and the new age movement.

Very understandable and clear and bringing new Hope
Dixie
We all have this world we share. We all need to work together for greater changes. The children are our future but there will be no future if don’t change the conditioning that keeps humanity trapped.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
That’s right Dixie. The truth is that solving the human condition is the key to solving all the problems on the planet, because all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans. We are the ones who are egocentric, selfish, greedy, materialistic, fake, angry as hell. And so it’s that underlying issue — our destructively behaved, so-called human condition — that really has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems.
It was only by confronting and addressing the source of our aggressive destructive behaviour, which is what biologist Jeremy Griffith has done, that behaviour can finally be brought to an end. Through removing the insecurity that was driving our behaviour our defensive anger, egocentricity and alienation is made redundant, and we can legitimately return to the cooperative and loving state humanity once lived in and we all long for.

FIX THE WORLD Admin
While Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.
Jim Knocke
I answer this only to answer how to find out how we move forward in our society.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
We now have the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour and our behaviour will change naturally as a result. At last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page.

Another Ridiculous atheist take.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
We certainly respect people’s religious views however we felt it was important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict the Bible. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. The real issue is if people prefer a more literal fundamentalist interpretation of scripture rather than our more biological, science-based interpretation.
Thank you. Years ago I read a psychologist’s (Hillman) interpretation of the Adam and Eve story that proposed it was about the human species coming to consciousness. I thought it made a lot of sense, but I missed an explanation as to why Eve chose to do her own thing! I guess the story is trying to understand how we experience ourselves making choices. Dr Griffith’s explanation sheds more light on the dilemma. I need to read more of his explanation so my questions find an answer.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition brings biological understanding to religious accounts of our condition, which means we can at last reconcile science and religion. For instance, as THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition.

The main problem is that allmost all of us believe we inhereted this planet from the former generation. The truth is that we’re actually borrowing it from future generations. When we all realize that fact there will be a some hope for the future !!!!!!!

This program has certainly opened my eyes and made me think what this man has been saying we have to train our minds to think differently to make the world a better place to live in before it is too late, god created this world for people to live and love one another, not to hate, I am understanding now and I will be changing my mindset for the good.

It’s about time to hear that humans are good and not evil I really think everyone on the planet needs to listen to this especially the younger generation it explains our human instinct very precisely and clearly it would help the whole planet to listen to this. And thank you

You will never change human behavior until you eliminate money, which is the root of our problems, otherwise known as GREED - Therein lies the problem foundation!
FIX THE WORLD Admin
What is so extraordinary about this breakthrough is we can now understand the fundamental reason why people want more than they need; we can now understand the source of greed and competition and the need for power. When the conscious mind went in search of knowledge a conflict between our instinct and intellect broke out, leading to an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric, the upset state we refer to as the human condition—a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition. You might find these two FAQs helpful: FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

Do you trust in HaShem? Do you attempt to reduce his words to a materialist, behaviourist model? Do you re interpret the story in bereshit(genesis)? May adonai bless you. shalom.
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your thoughtful questions. Jeremy’s work is certainly scientific, but it is not intended to reduce God’s word to a merely materialist or behaviourist explanation.
Rather, it is based on recognising—just as all the great religions do—that humanity once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence, where we were instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life. Jeremy’s explanation is that what has traditionally been understood as ‘God’ is the integrative meaning of life itself, and that the human condition arose when our conscious intellect had to depart from our instinctive orientation in humanity’s necessary search for knowledge.
So yes, Jeremy does offer a new understanding of the story in Bereshit (Genesis), but one that seeks to explain and deepen its meaning rather than diminish it. We suggest that the more you digest this explanation, the more you will see that it does not rob life—or our understanding of life—of its profound spiritual dimension.
If these questions are of interest, you may enjoy our FAQs on religion, particularly FAQ 6.7, ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great “spiritual” dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t “spirituality” beyond a purely rational explanation?’

As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, with support from those who appreciate this understanding, the truth is that this redeeming, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power and glory. You might be interested in FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’
Michael Alston
Does the human condition have anything to do with my environment 🤔
FIX THE WORLD Admin
Thank you for your question Michael. What biologist Jeremy Griffith explains is that our selfish and destructive behaviour is not learned or a result of any environmental conditioning but rather a result of a universal psychosis caused by the clash between our cooperative instincts and our intellect. So the source of our human condition is psychological, not cultural, social, physiological or genetic, and significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding. Certainly, being born into a world that is already drenched with anger, egocentricity and alienation has a terrible effect on young people growing up, resulting in even higher levels of psychological ‘upset’ – so it is a compounding situation. Jeremy explains this in Part 2 of THE Interview. To quote: “While we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it, the truth is that on a graph showing the ever-increasing levels of upset in humans, those levels, especially of psychosis and alienation, have been increasing so rapidly lately that the line tracking their rise is near vertical with the amount of upset virtually doubling now in each new generation! Freedom Essays 55 & 59 on our FIX THE WORLD’s website describes this terrifying end play threat of terminal levels of psychosis.” To solve this situation of the human condition ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. So, in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race, see FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’.

This world is like a Caine and Able
FIX THE WORLD Admin
In THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and that the source of our aggression is a psychosis that has been compounding ever since the instinct and intellect clashed some 2 million years ago. So this understanding explains that the tragic cost of the search for knowledge was that we became psychologically angry, egocentric and alienated, to the point where we can commit murder and war. Throughout his writings Jeremy explains that religion is a repository of profound truth about our condition and so yes Vicky this world is like the story of Cain and Able. In his Freedom Essay 39 Jeremy explains this story is a metaphor for the fundamental truth that humanity has progressed from a state of innocence to a state of upset, and how, following the advent of agriculture, that progression eventually led to warfare. To quote: “As described in par. 906 of FREEDOM [Jeremy’s definitive book], ‘Abel kept flocks [he lived the nomadic, hunter-forager-like life of a shepherd, staying close to nature and innocence], and Cain worked the soil [he cultivated crops and domesticated animals and as a result was able to become settled and through greater interaction with other humans became increasingly upset]… Cain was [became] very angry, and his face was downcast [he became depressed about his upset state and so]… Cain attacked his [relatively innocent and thus unwittingly exposing, confronting and condemning] brother Abel and killed him’ (Gen. 4:2, 5, 8). In fact, using stories like these and others, Moses was able to summarise the essential features of humanity’s entire journey from innocence to Resignation, through to the extremely upset state where humans began killing each other in wars.”

I’m intrigued! Let’s go!
As a biologist, I am amazed to listen to the interview about the condition of man.
I found this piece of analysis so inspiring and forceful in nature. I appreciate the great mind behind it
Very helpful for all human beings living on Earth
Land, water, air, fire, and sky are the basic elements of origin of life on the Planet Earth. Their quality decides the quality of the living resources which include the human species. Thus, both body and mind of humans are dependent on the said resources. Human condition and behaviour continue to undergo change purely based on the changes which take place as for the land, water, air, fire, and sky. Therefore, the maximum responsibility lies with the humans to save, protect, and efficiently manage the said resources of the Planet Earth with a spirit of “Give to Receive”, and “Live and Let Live” involving plant, animal, and human species.
An excellent explanation thanks for the enlightenment Jeremy
What’s the point?
Great message ! Thank you,. Dr. Mrs. Promîa Kapoor FLS Geneva, Switzerland
Great stuff ty.
Incredibly interesting and wise conference. Thanks to the interviewer and the interviewed
Mr. Griffith ?
I’ve been so sad for so long and now I’m beginning to understand the reason. Thank you
I would like to know it all

Very important interview for this world and I awarded a great 👍. Many many thanks 😊
Interesting & insightful interpretation.
Whatever became of SIN?
We suggest our FAQs about religion and also our blog post What is ‘Sin’. It is important to clarify that this explanation does not condone upset or so called sinful behavior; the full compassionate understanding ameliorates it, allowing such behavior to subside, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’.
Very interesting subject which I’m going to watch and digest every word
In knowing we are pschologically damaged it would take a lot of time and effort to correct this. I co not believe humans will ever get together to serve this. I know it is pessimistic but people are individually damaged emotionally.
How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.4 about ‘How can you hope to transform the world?'
Sending you all our good wishes Adam and thank you again for sharing your experience with this understanding.
I’m only ten minutes in , but I recognized [the nature of human conscience and consciousness] as the basis for understanding the human condition. I recognized it because CS Lewis recognized this natural state is also the basis for a logical understanding of the existence of God… I DON’T that is a coincidence.
Explain to me in simple terms? The Human Condition?
We recommend our FAQ 1.1 ‘What is the human condition?’ in which it is explained that the human condition is the immensely mentally insecure and psychologically distressed state that all humans have suffered from as a result of a clash between our species’ original non-understanding, dictatorial, instinctive orientations to the world, and our newer fully conscious mind that needs to understand the world to operate. Humans have been terrified of the human condition because, without understanding its biological cause, we had no defence against the shame of our corruption of our species’ original cooperative and loving innocent state.
This should be taught at primary school . Instinct versus conscious intellect would help us understand our internal battle with ourselves.
I’ve been waiting for something like this all my life. I’m 70 living in the Laguna Beach California area and after extensive LSD use I thought I knew it all, Just kidding. I wish this was an addendum in the Quran. ✝️

WATCH THIS! 🤔
We all need to hear this!
Love is everything
What is so significant about the explanation of the human conditon is that this understanding brings ‘love’ to our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour!
Save the World
This is certainly a step in the right direction; explained with clarity.

I really want to learn more about the human race
Well you have come to the right place Luzindana to learn all about humanity and the human condition! Is Jeremy a decendent of Ireland
Read this!
This explanation was so exciting and refreshing to me! We surely need this to help us understand this crazy world we live in !
Hope to learn something different.
What is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ and Video/Freedom Essay 4 which expands further on other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition.
Congratulations
Very compelling.
Wow! this really made me think about my consciousness. Very well explained especially about why we are good and not bad. A great interview. Thank you Jeremy.
Keen to learn more.🙏
Hi Andre, it’s great you’ve watched THE Interview as it’s the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. From there, at top of our FIX THE WORLD homepage at HumanCondition.com, it states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?’ and guides you through the steps to pursue your interest.
WOW. He makes sense. I am so glad I watched this interview. Thank you
This is the most amazing interview I have ever seen it’s unbelievable true and very well explained.
I’m on that quest of observing my thoughts, behavior, beliefs, the subconscious, and the conscious mind. Your premise makes a lot of sense, I trust there’s some type of guidance in understanding this important subject.
Hi Sandra, it’s great you’ve watched THE Interview as it’s the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. In particular, Part 4 of THE Interview explains how the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible, actually occurs.
From there, at top of our FIX THE WORLD homepage at HumanCondition.com, it states ‘WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?’ and guides you through the steps to pursue your interest. We also encourage people to join our Facebook Group to learn more about this amazing, human-condition-resolved new world.
This is a revelation for all the humans in the world, if all humans are able to understand if possible.
Awesome
Read the book it’s enlightening!!
I really appreciate Jeremys interview.
This is very interesting however, how do you reconcile your statement that man is basically good with the book of Genesis6:5which states, every imagination of the thoughts of mans heart was only evil contiuosly?
A revelation indeed!
I believe I came across your site for a reason. I am a part of global humanitarian group. I want to keep this connection. Thank you! SooGin
It’s hard to understand. I wish it could be broken down so everyone could understand.
Very interesting !
To you Mr.Jeremy Griffiths I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR 🙏🕊️YOUR YOUR TRUTH AND DEVOTION. BLESSINGS ✨ AND PEACE 🕊️OVER YOUR FAMILY HOME 🏡
Imo the answer is learn to love and stop the hatred.

Spécial thanks to you
This is a very elegant view to see from, We as humans can be heroes especially in theses times. This was so clear and thought out - yes share this great works. And we as a part of this earth can save those planet ergo ourselves . We must keep this interview in our back pocket going forward in Psychology and in other thinking discipline. Great work.
Interesting for sure.
I have been studying and participating in various spiritual paths, especially the non-dual ones lately like Christian Science course and Miracles and The Way of mastery. All of them are really focused on Truth, Love,Life as Creator Source … thank you for creating verbiage that allows people who don’t like the word, God, Lord, or all of those spiritual entities as the ground of our being… With great appreciation, Tara Fullmer

We all have this world we share. We all need to work together for greater changes. The children are our future but there will be no future if don’t change the conditioning that keeps humanity trapped.
Thank you very much for your great finding/research. It really aligins with Buddhist philosophy
Buddha had dealt with Consciousness deeply many thousands years
While Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view.
I answer this only to answer how to find out how we move forward in our society.
Muito interessante [Very interesting (tr. from Portuguese)]
Another Ridiculous atheist take.
For those interested in exploring this further we suggest FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.
I just want to say this Is mind blowing for real

May adonai bless you. shalom.
Thank you again for your thoughtful comment.
Thank you Jeremy for your words I hope this will change people and the government peace with you Jeremy 🙏
Really exciting and truly informative
Thanks
This is all good for the civilians of the world, but how do you get it to the leaders of countries at war right now ,what is going on could start a world war. Please try and talk to these leaders
Does the human condition have anything to do with my environment 🤔
Hhhhh
This Interview has been just full of knowledge and rewarding at that!!! Thank you so very much for Explaining The Human Condition for anyone listening to it so we can Understand. I’ve ALWAYS TAUGHT MY KIDS TO LOVE EVERYONE AND TO ALWAYS RESPECT ANYONE OLDER THAN THEM!!! THAT’S WHAT OUR PARENTS TAUGHT US!!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO FINALLY COME UP WITH THÌS ANSWER. WHICH BY THE WAY MAKES TOTAL SENSE!!!
This world is like a Caine and Able
4:2, 5, 8). In fact, using stories like these and others, Moses was able to summarise the essential features of humanity’s entire journey from innocence to Resignation, through to the extremely upset state where humans began killing each other in wars.”
thank you for the information. much appreciated and necessary.
Am excited by this book
