WTM Admin

Hi Juana, thank you for your appreciative comment. We just wanted to mention you can see all our Spanish translations, including THE Interview and some of Jeremy Griffith’s books, on our website here. Also, we have a WTM Centre in Madrid (the Spanish version is coming soon - y próximamente la versión en español) which was founded by David Garcia. WTM Madrid website includes David’s absolutely wonderful and helpful video where he so clearly relays his experience in discovering Jeremy Griffith’s scientific breakthrough. And the WTM Colombian Centre presents its website in Spanish, including centre founder Carlos Cruz Blanco’s welcome video, so there is a feast of material available! As well you can watch all our videos, in particular the main video series on our homepage, using the subtitles function (see the ‘cc’ icon at the bottom of the video player).

Roy Barrows

Awesome!!! Gives hope to the human race!!!

Chris Panym

So wonderful to see more people catching on about the false conclusions from stories like Adam and Eve and Darwinism. The psychological coping reason for false conclusions is natural, not another guilt burden when viewed with this clear, simple understanding of internal conflict between the neocortex and older, instinctual brain functions. The reflexive universe by Arthur M Young, is where I first encountered a scientific explanation for our evolution beyond genetic programming. A more recent book by Roger Briggs: Emerging World, correlates three different theorists on this wonderful new view detailing stages of human evolution, including development characteristics beyond the contemporary integration of a logical ego and instinctual feelings.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Chris. As THE Interview explains, elements of the human condition have been recognised by various thinkers throughout history but what is unique about Jeremy’s synthesis is that he actually solves the dilemma of human condition of ‘why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish?’ by clarifying the difference between the way the intellect and instincts work. That is the great breakthrough his work represents (see FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? and Video/Freedom Essay 4 on other thinkers who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition).

Connie Marklin

Deeply amazing information !

Sue

Take a deep breath, hold it for how ever long you want , or can comfortably, then exhale slowly all the absolute Bullshit we have known, and FEEL the non guilt , loving, pure self we once knew… This is some times difficult to understand, but the GIST IS, YOU, ME, EVERYONE CAN RETURN TO BEING KIND, FRIENDLY, LOVING, HELPFULL, UNDERSTANDING,FORGIVING PPL AND NOT FEEL BAD FOR IT. !! JUST BE . WOW. There is now hope for the future. Xxxx I thank everyone for making this public. Lets spread the love. Xxx

Robin

Cause and effect!

WTM Admin

Yes, Robin. Explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts - the cause of our human condition - makes redundant the effect, that being our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, thus allowing us to return to our species' all-loving and cooperative state! That is the great breakthrough consequence of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

Wilma Boshoff

Too much to take in must read it a few times

WTM Admin

Yes, even though the instinct vs intellect concept is actually very simple, we humans have lived in such fear and denial of our corrupted condition that we can find it difficult to ‘hear’ or take in discussion of it. For people new to this concept, we recommend Jeremy’s recent presentation The Great Guilt, which explains this ‘Deaf Effect’ in depth. If you want a good quick summary, we recommend FAQ 1.3.

Lise Reid

Very interesting 👌

Fraser Cameron

This was extremely enlightening and worthy of a) watching a few more times and b) I Need to read the book!

Pamela

Very interesting. Very well explained and immensely enjoyed!!

Glenda

The Grail. Save us all.

WTM Admin

Yes, this is the ‘grail’ of the whole human journey of thought and enquiry – and it will save us all! As Professor Harry Prosen, a former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said, “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.”

Asteya

Very enlightening

Olivia Coombe

See Dr Joe Dispenza, research with SanDiego University. How are you similar?? Very interesting and informative. Thankyou I’ve been a searcher since I was 4!!

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your interest, Olivia. Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition isn’t at all similar to what Joe Dispenza teaches. Dispenza gives us tools to manage or transcend our damaged upset selves through understanding the neuroplasticity of our brains, whereas Jeremy gives us an understanding of, and solution to, the actual source of our damaged upset human condition; this is what is so significant and transforming about his work. We recommend reading Freedom Essays 63: Pseudo Therapy/Healing and 64: Real Therapy/Healing as they explain the huge difference between superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angles put forward by Dispenza (and others like Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle, J.Z. Knight, Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment, Bruce Lipton, Greg Branden, Dawson Church, Deepak Chopra and Ken Wilbur), and the human-condition-confronting, honest, true, genuinely effective therapy/healing that understanding of the human condition makes possible. Jeremy is also in the process of writing a book titled Therapy For The Human Condition. (Since so many people have been asking for the book we decided to make available on our website the book’s early chapters. As more chapters are written, more will be added.)

Hamish

I never even heard of the human condition but I would like to learn. If people could be less angry, maybe would help indefinitely.

Lisa Ayres

Excellent.

Taufi

This is a thought provoking concept that deserves consideration and examination. At best, it can be used to create a new narrative towards human nature that will prove beneficial to future generations. What we focus on grows and expands, ultimately manifesting in our reality. Perpetuation of opposing thoughts towards the need to reconcile the understanding of human nature and the human condition will not support the healing of humanity needed today, along with the spiritual and psychological conditioning that are in desperate need of reprogramming today. Compassion for the self is an idea that can emerge from this human behavioral science. This can foster the good that needs to be birthed into the world, by each individual mind. If it creates more understanding of the self with the possibility eradicating the desire to harm one another, I am in support of this information being accepted in society. Very interesting concept.

Valma Daigle

Thank you!!! For this book

b.dudley

You have truly given peace a chance now. And i can imagine a party of unimaginable joy and celebration will be held at a genuine point in time to prove this transformation of mankind.

Richard Aikey

I have always believed in God, but had a serious problem with religion. I rarely attend church due to corruption I have seen, and have been looking for answers for decades. This past October (2023) I began serious research into religion and the Bible. I have been able to answer most of my questions and I’m currently writing a paper with my results. Today, I ran across “The Interview”, and had to pause and rewind many times. This is an excellent interview, and has helped me bring my thoughts together. Thank you! I downloaded “Freedom” and plan to follow your site. Thanks again. Rick

WTM Admin

Thank you for your feedback Richard. You might be interested in reading Jeremy’s FAQs on religion, which summarise how explanation of the human condition demystifies religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. Also Jeremy’s Freedom Essays 38 – 41 are absolutely fascinating as they further explain the role religion has played as the custodian of the ideals while humanity undertook the corrupting search for knoweldge.

Alice

This truly helps in understanding the human condition. It also touches on the left vs right politics.

Deb

Surprising, many interesting arguments! The word SIN, is a Medieval Archery term meaning “missing the Mark.” Yes we have definitely done that.

WTM Admin

And we suggest the most interesting argument is that humanity has not actually ‘missed the Mark’. Despite all appearences to the contrary, humanity has been doing exactly what it has had to do – which is to suffer becoming psychologically upset in order to persevere with the search for knowledge, ultimately knowledge of the difference between the way that nerves and genes operate, which is what is presented here, and which is what liberates us from the human condition!

Paul

You have a good simple story to tell. The power of it is in the facts. Why wrap it up I’m so much hype and sales blab as if it was snake oil. I can’t stand all that stuff. I certainly can’t inflict it on my friends.

WTM Admin

Thanks for listening Paul. We wanted to mention our FAQ 1.17 where it is explained that while what appear to be outrageously hubristic claims can initially be off-putting, in time they become appreciated for their forthright honesty in indicating where the solution to our problems lies. It is also worth reading FAQ 1.9 where it is further explained that while our ‘big claims’ do attract extreme scepticism, they are actually true, and therefore should be stated. You don’t hide an illuminating lamp—in this case the understanding needed to save the world from fast approaching terminal distress and dysfunction—under a bed; no, you put it on a pedestal where it belongs.

Sarah Myfanwy Mills

For me to discover that my nurturing of my children is the most important job I have undertaken making my offspring kind, caring and having morals. Thank -you, and I am only halfway through the book!

WTM Admin

In this interview and Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM the critical importance of nurturing in the maturation of humanity and in our own lives is explained, but it is also explained that our ability to nurture has necessarily been compromised by the corrupting journey to find knowledge, which has been the absolute priority for humanity. Now that we can explain and defend the competitive, selfish and aggressive upset state of the human condition and thus understand why the present human-condition-afflicted human race hasn’t been able to nurture our infants as much as their instincts expect, it becomes safe to finally admit just how important nurturing is, in fact, we can now admit that nurturing is what made us human — that it was women’s maternal love that gave us our moral soul and created humanity! And most wonderfully, now the human condition is solved, that preoccupation with finding knowledge ends, and nurturing will again become humanity’s central focus.

Marie Walsh

Wonderful and enlightening insight into the human condition. Lets hope it will lead to peace in our troubled world. Our Lady Queen of peace pray for us.

Josep

Very intriguing

Sandy

Very interesting want to read this again for a more understanding.

Penn

👍

Chris Thomas

So who benifits from us believing we need to be competitive ? I must ponder ! 🤔

WTM Admin

What is so important about Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is that it finally explains the real reason for why humans’ competitive and power-hungry behaviour became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. Proving we were better than someone else gave us validation and reinforcement to counter the deep insecurity we felt about having to become self-corrupted. And so competition, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge, ultimately for self-knowledge. With our goodness and worth now biologically established, we no longer need to be preoccupied with proving our goodness and worth. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source so we can actually stop the destruction of ourselves and save the world. So we hope you do pursue your interest — our homepage provides a wonderful road map to progress with all our key material made freely available, including the option to receive weekly Freedom Essay emails about this immensely relieving understanding.

Mr.ford

..thank yu' for Ur Service!

Jose Salomào

I just discovered this and I haven’t heard of it before but I am curious.

Suzanna Abbott

Sounds totally logical. Thank you.

Mary Ann Redding Keels

I totally agree and would love to have the book and of course the human race needs love unconditional love with self-knowledge. It is what the world needs now is love.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Mary Ann and yes at last we have the biological explanation of what love is, which is unconditional selflessness. This is a truth we couldn’t safely admit until we could explain the human condition—explain why our human behaviour has so often been unloving—but now with this ‘self-knowledge’ we can return to our instinctive loving way of being. You may be interested in Jeremy Griffith’s essay titled ‘What is Love?’ from his book The Book Of Real Answers To Everything! which you can access on our Publications page. Also Mary Ann please refer to our reply to Lisa Pullen below which links to how you can immediately and freely access the book FREEDOM!

AJ

Thank you both. Will read the book freedom. This for sure has shifted my paradigm about the human condition.

Dr Hong Li

Great talk!

lester crosby

I have bought the book called FREEDOM and have been watching the videos. between reading the book and watching the videos I now have better knowledge of the Human condition. yes the book called FREEDOM helps me understand the down falls of mankind and what we need to do in the transformation of mankind. I hope more videos will be made infuture. As PLATO stated mankind is in a very very deep cave of ignorance and the shadowy figures blocking our way to the light are evil devils who don’t want us to leave the cave of ignorance

WTM Admin

That’s wonderful to hear Lester. Yes Plato’s cave allegory, which Jeremy Griffith discusses in this interview, was perfect in describing our ‘good and evil’ stricken human condition however as Jeremy clarifies near the end of Part 2: “The thing is, Hesiod and Plato, like Moses, were living at a time when science still had to be developed, so they weren’t able to provide the redeeming, instincts-can-orientate-but-only-nerves-can-understand, good reason WHY we departed from ‘innocence’ and seemingly became ‘evil’, bad people.” As our FAQ 4.2 about evil explains: “‘Evil’—humans’ divisive behaviour—was a result of a conflict and insecurity within us that arose from the upsetting need to defy our instincts and find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of the human condition, so once we find that redeeming and reconciling understanding, as we now have, we end the conflict and insecurity. Peace could only come to our troubled, divisive state and world through removing the underlying insecurity of our condition. With our ego or sense of self worth satisfied at the most fundamental level—namely through the arrival of the redeeming and reconciling understanding of our human condition—our old insecure upset world comes to an end and a whole new transformed human existence and world free of the human condition opens up across planet Earth.”

Henry KOH

Excellent human condition indeed

Lea

i think you are describing most men....it’s called narcissism....rarely affect females. You are trying to explain it all away...but living with a sociopathological Narcissist for 22yrs...knowing his entire life...that male ego can’t accept any focus on their own actions.....End trauma by making narc men ACCOUNTABLE for their damage.

WTM Admin

Hi Lea, thank you for your comment. The human condition has certainly caused so much unbearable suffering for humans, it has been a deeply tragic reality. There is much that flows from this summary presentation, so there is a lot to absorb, but as THE Interview explains all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition (the conflict between our instinct and intellect). In the extreme, this psychologically conflicted upset state produces very destructive behaviour, including extreme states of egocentricity and narcissism known as psychopaths or power addicts (especially in men). It also explains that this psychological upset was the price humans (especially men) had to pay for searching for knowledge but we can now know we are all good and heroic (especially men). This is summarised in FAQ 1.3. Of course this explanation doesn’t condone such behaviour rather, through bringing biological understanding to the source of it we can at last honestly and compassionately confront and ameliorate it and finally end the trauma and suffering it has caused. For instance some of the deepest wounds in human life have been caused by the lack of understanding in the relationship between men and women. The bitterness, heartache, suffering and the damage to men, women and children has been immense. Through understanding the human condition, it is now possible to bring peace to the ‘war’ between the sexes—and give a true account of human history. As we say there is a lot to absorb and perhaps you may find these links helpful: FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile men and women’ and FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’?/ Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’

Frank Aloi

I think this makes complete sense. It needs to happen worldwide. The world itself is in a crisis that this way of thinking makes sense.

Lisa Pullen

I am interested now to look for the book that sets the theory out so I can share it with others

WTM Admin

Hi Lisa that is great you know would now like to read Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition. It is freely available in many different formats HERE on our homepage — so you can read it online or download it and even print your own copy immediately! Jeremy’s other key books, including the booklet version of this summary presentation in THE Interview, are also freely available at this link and you can also download the free Kindle versions from Amazon. Otherwise you can purchase hard copies of Jeremy’s books from Amazon or other good bookstores.

Watching for my first time, Thanks again , for who you are and what you do. Cheers

NICKHOLAS TSANIDIS

Trying to understand

WTM Admin

Hi Nickholas, just take your time and we suggest re-watch THE Interview as even though the fundamental explanation is simple it does present a new paradigm that dares to confront the historically unbearably confronting and off-limits subject of the human condition. Also, Jeremy Griffith has produced a companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect, which outlines more comprehensively the definition of our human condition, and why engagement with the subject can be initially hard to grasp, it’s an astonishingly revealing presentation. Thanks for persevering Nickholas, it will be well worth it! For instance you might like to read the ecstatic responses people are making about THE Interview and also watch the videos of WTM Centre Founders where they talk about their experience of coming across Jeremy Griffith’s work — all on our homepage HumanCondition.com.

Sharise Le Roux

This has answered all of my questions about the human condition and I will be sharing this information with everyone I know.

Richard

Thanks. Uplifting.

Michael

That’s it. Mankind is not bad. The mind has been awakened for 2 million years. Intellect or instinct.

WTM Admin

Sure is Michael because, as THE Interview explains, despite our competitive and selfish behaviour we have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good, but we have never been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition since it began some 2 million years ago — until now! Using first principle-based biology, Jeremy Griffith explains that only by understanding why the intellect had to defy our cooperative ‘good’ instincts and become psychologically upset, or ‘bad’, could we resolve our species’ psychosis and legitimately return to the loving and sensitive state we once lived in.

Barbara Gray

I’m hoping to reduce the confusion that the world and the ways of humans cause me.

WTM Admin

Well you have come to the right place Barbara. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source. You will find that Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation is so powerful that you are so able to make sense of human behaviour it makes it transparent. Just watch THE Interview, and then go to our homepage — HumanCondition.com — where you’ll find a guide to pursue your interest.

John

Nothing new just another way of spouting religion. Bet this doesn’t get put up

WTM Admin

First up John your comment is uninformed as the World Transformation Movement is not a religion. To clarify: the WTM promotes Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough resolution of the underlying problem in all human affairs of the human condition — thereby ending human conflict and suffering at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map for the complete transformation of our lives and world. Jeremy’s work has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers (our commendations are here on our homepage). There is no dogma, faith or belief involved. FAQ 6.1 explains why this information, and the movement which supports it, is the antithesis of a religion. Also the WTM is a global not-for-profit organisation. This is a scientific pursuit and we make all our publications, subscription and membership freely available on our website.     Also if you scroll through the large number of comments on this thread they do reflect a fair representation of the feedback we receive. This includes counter opinion, and critical and negative feedback, however we do reserve the right to moderate the comments to ensure the thread is as constructive as possible.

Mark Smith

Love hearing this information.

Peter Piccone

I found this very healing ❤️‍🩹 and believe this could be part of the key for Earth’s future.

Jonathan PC

He has described “the fall” almost exactly as I have come to uderstand it, as the heroic move into conscious decision-making from our ancestors' previously evolved, instinct-driven behaviour, and much of the trouble that this has caused can be explained by the mental struggle that this involves. He focusses on the beneficial, co-operative and loving response to a nurturing infant experience can induce but is quiet about the horrors of cruelty which can equally develop in response to adverse early experience – which can be much worse than seen anywhere else in the animal kingdom. So, for him, the bottom line is that we should shape society with the main aim to support undivided parental care for infants (mostly, but not necessarily, by mothers). The problem is finding scientifically reliable evidence that this is true.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your consideration Jonathon. We would just correct you on the “bottom line”. The ‘bottom line’ is that Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition defends our so-called ‘dark side’. We can understand the battle between our intellect and our cooperative instincts caused us to become psychologically angry, alienated and egocentric, the upset state we refer to as the human condition. Now that we can understand this conflict all those insecure behaviours, which compromised our ability to nurture, are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from that state and can legitimately return to a cooperative, nurturing way of living. It is only with the human condition solved that nurturing can become the priority. As Jeremy writes in chapter 6:13 of his definitive book FREEDOM, “now that we have found that very good reason why parents have been unable to nurture their children with anything like the unconditional love children instinctively expect and need, it is no longer necessary to deny the importance of nurturing both in the maturation of our species and in our own lives. Yes, with the arrival of understanding the terrible guilt that parents have felt for not being able to adequately nurture their offspring departs. Parents can now understand that their inability to adequately love their offspring is not their fault, but the product of the ever-accumulating levels of upset in the human race as a whole that resulted from our species’ heroic 2-million-year search for knowledge, specifically for self-knowledge, understanding of why we conscious humans are good and not bad. So yes, we can finally now admit the importance of nurturing and turn our attention back to the nurturing of our offspring—in fact, it now becomes a matter of great urgency that we do both these things.”     We would also mention that Jeremy is not “quiet about the horrors of cruelty which can equally develop in response to adverse early experience”. In fact chapter 8:16C of his definitive book FREEDOM whhich is titled ‘The dire consequences of terminal levels of alienation destroying our ability to nurture our children’, is devoted to the subject.

Jonathan PC

Thank you – I shall have to read the book to find out how we can resolve these issues as already psychologically damaged (to a greater or lesser extent) adults. As a doctor and scientist I will naturally be looking for confirmatory evidence that his approach actually works, rather than being just “a great idea” – are there any of your publications that specifically address this?

WTM Admin

You might be interested in FAQ 1.34, which features a response by Professor Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, to the question of ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis?’ Beyond that, we would recommend Jeremy’s publication The Great Transformation, which gives a concise description of how the psychological rehabilitation of humans occurs, and how everyone’s life can immediately be transformed. And there are also the Transformation Affirmations on our Transformation page.

Must see

Joost Oud

Yes to all of this! And yet, we are still stuck with the psychopaths at the top, who manipulate us into hating and fighting each other and are now demonstrably trying to depopulate this Earth... and unless we wake up en masse and stop complying with their demands, they will win. We must not let them!

WTM Admin

Regarding psychopaths, Joost, what you will find is that they are examples, albeit extreme, of the psychologically upset state of the human condition that we all suffer from, and so will also be rehabilitated by this understanding — see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’ And you might also be interested in FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Smorgy

thank you, Very inspiring videos (I have watched four so far). Maybe, with the spread of these teachings, we can alleviate the polarization of our world’s societies, notably the United States. If the programers of AI (eg. CHatGPT) could incorporate these concepts into their algorithms, that could speed up the evolution of humanity’s consciousness. One thing puzzled me during the videos... those Bonobos apes, if they are so loving, how is it that they go about killing other animals, such as the Bush Babies? I’m looking forward to reading about ‘entropy’, as it seems to be one of the fundamental properties of existence law.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Smorgy. Yes, AI presents all sorts of possibilities now that this explanation has been found (you might be interested in Jeremy Griffith’s new presentation AI & Aliens: The truthful analysis).     With regard to bonobos, as Jeremy explains in chapter 5:6 of his definitive book FREEDOM, while bonobos are a long way down the love-indoctrination path, and as a result, are extraordinarily cooperative and gentle, they have not completed the process, and so there are remnants of selfish reciprocity, sexual opportunism and aggression, and occassional opportunistic hunting. This engagement in hunting is discussed in chapter 2:11 of FREEDOM, where it is explained that while bonobos have been known to capture and eat small game, including small monkeys, to supplement their diet with protein, they are not known to routinely hunt down and eat large animals such as colobus monkeys, like chimpanzees do, with “hunting behavior [by bonobos] very rare” (Tetsuya Sakamaki quoted by David Quammen, ‘The Left Bank Ape’, National Geographic, Mar. 2013).

Tony

the most informative piece of information I have ever heard in my entire life I’m 59 yrs old and I’ve been looking for something like this. I had a feeling that we were not savages

Reginald Garnigan

Powerful and eye opening

Hans

Just saw the video interview. First and foremost agree, however, not sure if it will work for everyone. And all the time. It is a message about how humanity should be instead of how humanity is (for instance Guns, Germs and Steel from Jared Diamond). Thanks for the free download; will read the book.

WTM Admin

Thanks Hans. We do suggest that as you digest this universal explanation of the human condition you will realise that what is presented is the explanation for exactly how we all are, not a prescription for how we should be. The ‘instinct vs intellect’ understanding actually defends our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state by explaining why the intellect had to defy the unwarranted ‘criticism’ from our instincts. In doing so it makes that defensive behaviour redundant because we now have the real defense for why we had to defy our instincts. Yes, psychological upset or a psychosis can be healed with understanding, so our upset behaviour is not unchangeable or immutable, which it would be if it was a result of savage instincts within us, which is the unstated premise underlying Jared Diamond’s belief that geographical advantages led to some cultures gaining dominance over others. Jeremy Griffith evidences this key biological distinction that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition in Part 3 of THE Interview.

Sandra D

Yes, generations will need to process this to their core being, and I look forward to watching the transformation to a place of nurture.

I have never believed the notion that mankind is evil and full of sin but I have always believed mankind has always been good! Religious dogma has taught that we should be in fear of god and god is a judgmental God which is false. God is an all loving and good in nature! Science can prove that humans are intelligent beings that are loving and caring and good not barbarous animals !

sandra tweed

A lot to take in considering the mess that we have created for ourselves. I would like to think that we can honestly redeem ourselves but unfortunately I doubt it..in a space of time....besides AI is already taking over, sooner and faster than ever considered..will we still be around to “fix” this ..or will our condition be recognized or erased as soon as this was discovered by another source. I think mother nature is broken hearted..we have done irreversible damage to absolutely everything.

WTM Admin

There is no doubt that humanity has taken the world (and itself) to the brink of destruction, but while it will take generations to completely heal the human race, we suggest that it is not too late. It is impossible to overestimate the power of solving the human condition, and what it will release in humanity. As Jeremy Griffith says in Freedom Essay 15, “It is this particular undeniable consequence of the arrival of understanding of the human condition of the transformation of our lives from living selfishly and competitively to living selflessly and cooperatively that is going to eventually catch on as being the right response now for everyone and when it does, it will spread like wildfire across our planet, and save the world. And it is not a revolution that involves warfare and bloodshed like so many revolutions in the past, but a peaceful revolution that is driven by irrefutable knowledge/understanding. We humans are conscious beings and what consciousness needs is understanding, and now we have it. Ultimately, we humans respond to knowledge—anything less was bound to be ineffective. This is the real and lasting transformation that the human race has lived in hope, faith and trust would one day occur. It is the revolution of our minds.”     You might also be interested in our FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’     Finally, on the topic of AI, we recommendJeremy’s new book AI & Aliens: The truthful analysis, which you is freely available on our homepage here.

What do we do to end human suffering?

WTM Admin

Hi Julio, the only way to actually end suffering is to deal with the source of our species’ corrupted human condition and bring relieving understanding to it, which is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world, see FAQ 1.3 and FAQ 1.6.

Rodney Freeman

As a struggling 56yo male, I have always known this without the ability to put it into words.. I have lived my life based on this knowledge and have found it isolated me from general society.. Thankyou, for the first time I am not alone.....

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment, Rodney, and it is wonderful to sense the profound relief THE Interview has brought you as the human condition has caused so much unbearable suffering for humans and left us all feeling alone one way or another. Yes, despite our competitive and selfish behaviour we have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good, but we have never been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition. That is the great scientific breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here. This is so significant and comforting because can finally understand psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story represents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves with great compassion, be patient and take time to adjust to this new knowledge and way of thinking, and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us which is key for us all (explained in FAQ 1.19).

Human species are weirdest being in universe !!!I haven’t yet listened the interview I will shortly thanks

WTM Admin

Yes, the human condition has been utterly perplexing! Jeremy Griffith describes the great paradox of humans in his definitive book FREEDOM, "Good or bad, loving or hateful, angels or devils, constructive or destructive, sensitive or insensitive: WHAT ARE WE? Throughout history we have struggled to find meaning in the awesome contradiction of our human condition. Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, not-the-patently-false-animals-are-competitive-and-aggressive-and-that’s-why-we-are, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. And for their part, while religious assurances such as ‘God loves you’ may have provided temporary comfort, they too failed to explain WHY we are lovable. So, yes, WHY are we lovable? How could we be good when all the evidence seems to unequivocally indicate that we are a deeply flawed, bad, even evil species? What is the answer to this question of questions, this problem of ‘good and evil’ in the human make-up, this greatest of all paradoxes and dilemmas of the human condition? What caused humans to become divisively behaved and, more importantly, how is this divisive behaviour ever going to be brought to an end? THIS, the issue of the human condition, is the REAL question facing the human race."     We hope you can access what is presented in THE Interview akin, because in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, what is presented is the desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition.

You have taken a step closer to the truth. If you could incorporate the truth of thermodynamics laws which deny randim process can produce decreasing entropy and increased order. You see that what we call “psychosis”, for millenia before referred to as “sin”, is nothing new, and is exactly what you are discussing as something that can be solved and is not inevitable. The solution is something injected into the human condition by “God”, known as grace, which asserts that we have immeasurable value regardless of our disfunction. That grace itself heals the human condition by removing the need to prove worth by some act of effort.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment, Robert. You will find that Jeremy Griffith does actually incorporate the truth of thermodynamics, in particular Negative Entropy, or the 2nd path of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, which states that in an open system, where energy can come into the system from outside it—in Earth’s case, from the sun, and, in the case of the universe, from the original ‘big bang’ explosion that created it—matter integrates; it develops order. Read more in our Freedom Essay 23.     It also needs to be noted that Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in Christianity or the teachings of Christ. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Ultimately though, we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. What Jeremy is putting forward is that for there to be a fundamental change in our human situation we had to understand the human condition – humans’ capacity for good and evil – from a biological perspective. “ fearful denial ” is basically what sums up the reason that humanity is in such a state. A really interesting & profoundly insightful explanation. Thankyou

Always felt I did not fit in with the rest of the world but continued and wondered what was wrong with me....In spite of things not making any sense I am grateful for my life and family . Now a Great Grandma and the first thing I have done is sent a message to my grand daughters and asked them to take time and listen to words of wisdom.......THANK YOU I love having the AhHA moment.

WTM Admin

Lee thank you so much for letting us know your experience of THE Interview! The estrangement the human condition has caused in us, one way or another, has certainly made us blame ourselves, think the problem is with us. That is the great AhHA moment Jeremy Griffith’s work provides as it makes sense of all the suffering in human life. We can at last understand, from scientific first principles, that we have all-loving, cooperative instincts which our intellect had to defy and deny to search for knowledge. It was this clash between our instinct and intellect that caused our universal psychosis (which significantly can be healed through understanding). So what THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. With this understanding we can finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.

Would like to genuinely understand the craziness and destruction currently going on in the world

WTM Admin

You’ve come to the right place Randy as Jeremy Griffith’s work gets to the bottom of what’s causing all the craziness and destruction so we can genuinely understand and stop it! This Interview presentation explains that all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans and it’s the underlying issue of our destructive behaviour that has to be understood if we are to solve the world’s problems—we certainly need answers and we need them urgently! To quote Jeremy from his main book FREEDOM (ch 1:2) “Yes, our species has come to the critical juncture where ONLY ‘self discovery’—reconciling, ameliorating, ‘psychological[ly]’ healing understanding of ourselves—could save us from ‘self destruction’.” We hope you watch THE Interview as we’re sure you will discover that what is presented is actually that desperately needed reconciling understanding.

Julio C Leal

Thanks for the information. I’m a Mental Health professional and I understand the explanation. Sounds a little bit as Freud theories, specifically his statement that all Human suffering is due to the fight between the ID and the Superego to control the ego. My question is what is beyond this knowledge ? What is the solution to the Human Condition?

WTM Admin

In his definitive presentation of this understanding, FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, as well as in other works, Jeremy acknowledges Freud’s courageous recognition that humans carry negative, repressed elements of our personality, a ‘repressed unconscious’. However, beyond that, there is very little similarity between Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition and Freud’s thinking. Freud believed that the ‘ID’, our unconscious, instinctive mind, contained primitive selfish ‘savage’ urges that the conscious mind or ‘ego’ has to control, whereas Jeremy has now explained that our instinctive self is completely loving and cooperative, and that our aggressive and selfish behaviour is psychological in origin, the result of a clash between our instincts and intellect. Freud also believed that our morals are learnt and held by the superego, whereas Jeremy has now explained that they are the expression of our loving, cooperative moral soul or instincts (read more about Freud in our FAQ 1.47). By starting from the false basis that we have ‘savage instincts’ that the ego had to control and mediate meant that Freud was not able to explain the ultimate source of human’s psychological problems.     The clarifying explanation of the difference between instinctive orientations and conscious understandings presented in THE Interview is this longed for explanation of the source of our upset, and the key to rehabilitating all the subsequent manifestations of the human condition. Understanding that the intellect needed to search for knowledge in order to find understanding, and therefore had to defy the ignorance of our instincts, which in-effect criticised that search, means that all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are made redundant and the defiance and oppression of our instinctive self or soul could end. Ultimately, we had to end the underlying insecurity that was driving all the destructive behaviour, which is exactly what Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition in THE Interview does.

Inspirational.... The Polarizing Effect of Politics really hit hope for me!

WTM Admin

Yes, the way this explanation explains the left and right wing poles of politics is amazining! We recommend to everyone our FAQs about politics, which we think you will find fascinating as they explain how this all-reconciling understanding of human behaviour brings an end to the necessary but ugly world of politics.

Just made my way back thanks 🙏🏾 🗝️

WTM Admin

Yes, understanding why our intellect had to defy our all-loving instincts is the key to allowing us to return to that loving state. This is captured in the following famous lines from T.S. Eliot: “We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploring / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time”. This sums up the great paradox of the human condition: we humans had to defy our instincts and become corrupted in self in order to find understanding of the human condition. Now with that found we can return to a selfless way of living!

Rayed Abdulkarim

I think you’re about 1400 years too late. The Quran makes these arguments in it. Read the Quran.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Rayed. We certainly respect people’s religious views but while religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview. We also wanted to mention that Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in religion or God. In fact it represents a reconciliation of science and religion, see FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology, why are there religious references?’
