Awakening the truth that no one ever explained

Not the easiest of reads but patience and digesting slowly each part or whole explanation as well as connecting with the key concepts of the revealations - makes the book and key issue and insights a worthwhile experience to read 📚 and digest the complexity of the human condition and general behaviour to appreciate how we need to change in order for us to survive @ I dont like absolutism and the issues raised and evaluated in the context of how the creator and founder of the theories and ideas needs to leave avenues for discussions rather than absolutes of claims to have found the total answers as that is what rationality and Kuhns paradigmatic rationale proves as did Socrates prove!
WTM Admin
Thank you very much for your considered response Thomas. Yes, biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work has to be discussed and considered and nobody should accept it without evalutating it properly. Indeed, the absolutely astonishing claims being made about Jeremy’s work warrant initial extreme scepticism, and further the realm of the human condition is the most ‘muddied of pools’ with deluded charlatans everywhere. However what Jeremy is presenting is all first principle-based, rational, testable, biological understanding of the human condition which has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers (see our homepage). There is no hidden agenda, dogma, faith or belief involved. It’s all about knowledge that either stacks up or it doesn’t — and if it doesn’t you should throw it over your shoulder and reject it. But, as it sounds like you are beginning to realise, the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation does explain “the complexity of the human condition.”

Yes, this critical new science presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking, so there is a lot to digest. As Jeremy points out Part 2 of THE Interview the issue of the human condition has been such a denied and off-limits subject that confronting it represents the “biggest of all blasphemies” so it does take time and patience to consider and adjust to all these understandings.

our violent behaviour must have started with the discovery of weaponry ,and that the knowledge of a weapon can give you a control over others ,hence slaves ,and it give you power over others ,until others develop arms of a of an equal or better value thats when fighting starts and you get to mass fights ,war ,and then develop more arms through our brains learning to find and solve problems
WTM Admin
We suggest that the ultimate source of our destructive and violent tendencies is presented in THE Interview, and it is not “the discovery of weaponry”. We can now understand that we have loving and cooperative instincts, and our angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour is psychological in origin, a result of a clash between our pre-established instincts and our emerging conscious mind. Weapons and their use are just a symptom of our insecure, psychologically upset state, not the cause.
Steve Consilvio
I feel like Jeremy and I are cut from the same cloth. I ramble quite similarly across many touchstones and see the problem quite similarly, although this stork stepped through his anger years ago. Like the Dylan line, “But I mean no harm nor put fault, On anyone that lives in a vault.” Leadership is just as much a place of alienation as following the drudgery of what one doesn’t understand.
If I may, I’m not sure calling it a biological breakthrough fits. The stork has instincts programmed in, whereas humans are wholly dependent on learning from other humans for a considerable time, and we are indoctrinated into contradictory ideas that require reflection and self-awareness to escape. (Case and effect and perpetual refinement). I see it as wholly metaphysical. Ideas rule the world, and we animate what we understand, whether it is murdering thousands of rhinos or making videos and writing. The choice is war or renaissance, and respect for the mystery of life. I particularly liked the description of the meniscus. The mystery is very deep once we dunk under the surface. The inner world is as big as the outer world.
Putting this together was obviously a tremendous amount of work. Great job! Thanks for the inspiration. I hear you loud and clear.
WTM Admin
Thanks very much for your thoughts Steve. That is a great quote from Dylan - honesty and compassion! There is a lot to digest here, but we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.

Something did not start from nothing. The organization of the universe despels that!
God created the universe “Ex-nihilo,”without the use of pre-existant materials.
WTM Admin
We can now see that the question of where the universe started and the question of ‘God’ are not related. In paragraph 335 of his definitive book FREEDOM, Jeremy Griffith explains that, “The fact is that starting with the boundaries of our reality of matter, space and time, and drawing on the laws of physics within which we live, we can construct the human condition, and also solve it—and, by so doing, make it possible to demystify God, and, indeed, bring to an end the whole debate about ‘His’ existence. The enormous issue of ‘God’ that has existed in the lives of humans relates entirely to the integrative process of the development of order of matter that occurs in the world within which we live that is bounded by the elements of matter, space and time and the effect the laws of physics have on those elements as we experience them. The insecure state of the human condition that caused us to so fear and revere all manner of gods, and then just one God, is created and solved within that realm. Science’s task has been to be a winnower of mystery and superstition, with the ultimate mystery it needed to solve being the human condition. So our ability now to understand the human condition necessarily ends the fear, confusion, bewilderment and mystery that fuelled such superstitious thought; it ends ignorance.”
The following explanation, written by Jeremy in 2020 in response to a question about the role of ‘God’ in creating the ‘big bang’, is also helpful: “Starting from the ‘big bang’ and the creation of the universe and the laws of physics, you can follow the development of the order of matter all the way to the development of conscious humans and their conflict with their instinctive self, and the resulting upset state of the human condition. Further, we can understand that as a result of that upset state we became fearful of the truth of Integrative Meaning or the law of Negative Entropy because we couldn’t explain why we had become divisive, seemingly disintegrative, and seemingly at odds with the integrative process or ‘God’, at which point we deified God or the integrative process to make it separate from us, some sort of ethereal being which wasn’t related to us and so not so directly condemning and confronting. The point about all that is the whole concept of God became something incredibly important, a refuge to defer to when we couldn’t cope with our insecure human condition. Basically, our reverence for God, and need for a God to defer to, are all a consequence of the insecurity of our condition that is fully able to now be explained and understood. Struggling with the concept of God is at base struggling with the insecurity of our human condition, which again is all a product of the laws of physics. What produced the big bang is a subject unrelated to our insecurity of self, and fear of, and need for, ‘God’. The insecurity of our condition and need for God can all be understood and ameliorated by understanding the laws of physics. What preceded the big bang has no relationship to the issue of our insecurity of self and our resulting need for God, and reverence for God, and wanting to know if God exists, etc. Everyone’s concern and insecurity about, and preoccupation with, God is really their concern about the insecurity of their human condition, which we can now fully explain and ameliorate. What happened before the big bang, which physics is still working on, is of no real relevance to the insecurity we have lived with from the human condition. That insecurity can be fully explained and fully eliminated by understanding, which we now can, understand everything that’s happened since the creation of time, space and matter and the laws of physics governing them. Get rid of our insecurity about our human condition and the issue of God as we have tried to understand God while in that insecure state goes, and then it’s simply a matter of physics learning more about the big bang and what preceded it as an interesting intellectual topic totally separate from the issue of the human condition and our resulting wrestling match with ‘God’.”

Thank you for your thoughts. We certainly respect people’s religious views however we felt it was important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict religions. It simply brings biological understanding to religious pre-scientific concepts. For example Jeremy Griffith considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. The real issue is if people prefer a more literal fundamentalist interpretation of scripture rather than our more biological, science-based interpretation. For those interested in exploring this further we suggest FAQ 6.3 which addresses the questions ‘Aren’t all Griffith’s demystifications of religious teachings going to be seen by supporters of religion as blasphemy? / Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God? / How does this affect my personal religious practice? / How can you reconcile the explanation of the human condition that defends the upset state with religious teachings that condemn upset?’.

I’m curious, I keep seeing this, I want to understand what this is about.
WTM Admin
Hi Susan, great to have your interest! Our FAQ 1.3 ‘What is Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition?’ presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept presented in THE Interview. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition. It couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview at the top of our homepage which is where you can watch it and it completely free!

I just ran into this today and it’s resonating very strongly with an idea I’ve been having for a PhD thesis proposal, one specifically aimed at a rapid solution to the cumulative crises facing the world today. A key foundational component of my proposal relates to AI alignment with life, the world, and humans, and basically you put the ideas in my head into clear terms couched in science rather than speculation. I would be very interested in discussing the possibility of discussing some of this further as I believe it could substantially improve my strategy in developing my research approach and actual implementation, particularly in avoiding potential pitfalls and blind spots. Thank you for your efforts in synthesizing and bringing awareness to these concepts.
WTM Admin
Hi Keira, thanks for your comment and appreciation of Jeremy Griffith’s work! There is a lot of concern about AI in the world at the moment and earlier in the year Jeremy wrote a small book titled AI & Aliens: The Truthful Analysis which you can freely access here on our homepage along with Jeremy’s other key books. As it says on the back cover of the book: “Given Griffith’s phenomenal clarity of thought and capacity for insight, it should be very interesting and helpful to hear his thoughts on the much discussed question of the danger of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and also his thoughts on the possibility of alien life visiting Earth. And indeed, as you will see in this booklet Al & Aliens: the truthful analysis, his thoughts on these issues are incredibly enlightening and interesting!” No doubt you will you enjoy it and we wish you all the very best for your PhD thesis.

WTM Admin
Wonderful to have your interest Damien and we will look out for your email. You might like to look at our FAQ 5.5 ‘Aren’t other animals capable of conscious thought like humans? / How can you say humans are the only fully conscious animals?’ that explains while clearly other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’ none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing fully conscious minds. It is also worth noting that Jeremy Griffith explains that developing consciousness depended on overcoming the competitive, selfish ‘animal condition’ and becoming orientated to selflessness, so if a species is still preoccupied with selfish, competitive dominance, as other animals are, they can’t become fully conscious. So even though other animals display various levels of socialness they are still driven by gene-based natural selection and the essential fact or rule of natural selection is that genes are unavoidably selfish, so there is a fundamental limit to the amount of selfless, loving behaviour they can develop. The brilliance of Jeremy’s treatise is he explains how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process, which produced our all-loving, altruistic instincts! This is presented in Part 3 of THE Interview using the example of the extraordinarily cooperative and maternal bonobos, who have developed this ‘love-indoctrination’ process to a lesser degree. Also see FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’.
Also we wanted to include this extract from Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOMchapter 6:5 which uses the example of the nurturing, loving behaviour of elephants: “...As was emphasised in chapter 5:4 [titled ‘Love-Indoctrination’], the problem is that love-indoctrination is an extremely difficult process to develop and maintain to the point where the fierce competition to reproduce your genes is contained and integration achieved. Only our ape ancestors managed to develop love-indoctrination to the point where competition amongst males especially was contained and unconditional love and integration developed, something the fossil record is now confirming (as described in chapter 5:5). Bonobos are well on their way, but all the other relatively developed/ integrated/ social mammals are still battling to develop love-indoctrination to the point where it has overcome selfish competition amongst males to reproduce their genes. But they are trying to do so; they are trying to indoctrinate their infants with love to the degree their circumstances allow. Reports from anyone who has worked with the relatively developed/ integrated/ social mammals and who is not under the control of the thought police—the truth-denying, mechanistic scientific constabulary—give accounts of the development of love through nurturing, such as this of the nurturing, loving behaviour of elephants: ‘After years of research and scientific observation it has been shown that elephant’s social structure and familial bonds are similar, if not deeper, than the bonds developed among [present immensely psychologically upset] human beings. There are deeply stirring accounts, by such scientists as Joyce Poole, Cynthia Moss and Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, of elephants weeping and expressing grief at the loss of their calves…and other herd members. There are recorded behaviors of near spiritual proportion…Calves frequently die of heartbreak from the loss of their mothers and abuse by human beings…There are also great displays of affection and mutual respect rarely viewed in the social structure of humans. Joyce Poole, internationally known expert on elephants, states, “I have never seen (wild) calves ‘disciplined’. Protected, comforted, cooed over, reassured and rescued, yes, but punished, no. Elephants are raised in an incredibly positive and loving environment”’ (‘The Heart of Africa’, Sacred Wildlife.org; see ). Note that Poole’s comment that elephant calves are never ‘disciplined’ echoes Savage-Rumbaugh’s observation that bonobo infants ‘can do no wrong’. Revealingly, like elephant orphans, orphaned ‘Gorillas and bonobos… just die. They see their mothers killed and they give up’ (Vanessa Woods, Bonobo Handshake, 2010, p.67 of 278)—because, as stated above, they suffer ‘heartbreak’; their emotional desire for, their instinctive expectation of receiving, and their attachment to, a loving true (Integrative-Meaning-compliant) world is so great they literally cannot survive without it. In par. 452, a quote from Savage-Rumbaugh was included that described the rapturous joy expressed by the bonobos Matata and her adopted son, Kanzi, at their loving reunion. And when the Friends of Bonobos charity designed their fundraising ‘A Bonobo Mother’s Love T-shirt’ to have a picture of a mother bonobo cradling her infant, they weren’t ‘anthropomorphising’ or inappropriately humanising bonobos, as those mechanistic thought police would argue, they were unwittingly conveying the simple truth. Bonobo mothers aren’t merely giving infants training in how to manage ‘integration into complex social systems’, that is an absurd suggestion—they are giving them ‘love’. But, again, when the need for denial is desperate, any excuse will do. The truth is that in the relatively developed/ integrated/ social species of mammals, nurturing has moved beyond the primitive, pre-love-indoctrination, ‘must nourish and protect’ maternal situation to the ‘must love’ maternal situation—they are attempting to develop love-indoctrination.”
Given your interest in the biology we highly recommend you read FREEDOM (especially chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7) which is freely available here on our homepage in various formats including an audio book narrated by world renowned mountaineer, biologist and Order of Australia recipient Tim Macartney-Snape who said of Jeremy’s work “Griffith’s explanations have clarified so much that was inexplicable about myself and what goes on in the world. It is like having mist lift from country you’ve never seen in clear weather.”

Still trying to understand...i dont see how understandinis that we are good
Helps us relieve the human condition
I am missing the point. Want to get it
I have watched the interview twice.
WTM Admin
We greatly appreciate your effort Diane! The human condition has historically been the most fearful of subjects because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can initially make it hard to understand all that is explained and so it can take a little perseverance to get your head around it (FAQ 1.16 explains this initial ‘deaf effect’). However, to answer your question: where we have previously had to rely on faith or belief that we are good and not bad, we now have rational understanding of our fundamental goodness, which has been the goal of our search for self-understanding; we can now actually understand from a biological perspective that despite the horrific anger, egocentricity and alienation that searching for knowledge caused in us, we are fundamentally good. As Jeremy Griffith says in THE Interview “this real instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously angry, egocentric and alienated from our different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. And this ability to understand and know there was a good reason why the human race became psychologically upset, is the key, relieving understanding we have been in search of ever since we became conscious some 2 million years ago and our corrupted condition emerged. That is the key relief for our mind—being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all.” Further, and most signifcantly, this is the understanding we have desperately needed to end human suffering and therefore the suffering of the planet. When the author and philosopher Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote that ‘We are living through deeply anxious days, and if we are to relieve our anxiety we must diagnose its cause… What is the meaning of man? To this question no answer is being offered, and I have the feeling that we are moving toward the darkest era our world has ever known’, he was recognising that being able to know ‘the meaning’ of human suffering; know the reason for it; be able to explain our corrupted or ‘fallen’ human condition in fact, is what has been needed to end human suffering. And at the 11th hour for our species, that is now possible with the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of our psychologically troubled human condition so it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough! This aspect is expanded on in one of Jeremy recent books Our Meaning which is freely available here on our homepage.

If you’ll allow just one comment to the contrary in your comments section (as I haven’t seen a single one = big red flag for a science topic). Let’s leave the fact that this guy isn’t a Biologist, he’s a psychologist. How do you explain the violent rivalry that takes places between our closer relative, the chimp? Their very complex social networks encompass much of our human networks. Selfishness, greed, competitivness, even tribal wars. Whilst all these comments below show support, non show a coherent understanding and counter balance argument for an understanding of Science as a topic. I’m a Sciences student. to me I find issue that there is no argument. If I am wrong. Sorry. My English isn’t the greatest as well. But there are inconsistency’s to answer for me to understand?
WTM Admin

Also, Jeremy Griffith who is a biologist, explains in this Interview the key biological distinction between humans and other animal species is that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. He also explains unable to confront the human condition, science has been mechanistic and reductionist, and what’s more, has denied the existence of our psychologically troubled human condition, blaming our selfish and competitive behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us. One way of doing this is to argue that humans’ selfish, aggressive and competitive behaviour can be seen in the behaviour of chimpanzees. However, while humans do share approximately 99% of our DNA with both the common chimpanzees and bonobos, as Jeremy discusses in Part 2, and in more detail in his definitive book FREEDOM (chapter 5), the evidence reveals that on the basis of physiology, bipedality, environment, intelligence and reduced canine size, the cooperative and gentle bonobo represents a far better model of our human ancestors than the chimpanzee. Reduced canine size is particularly relevant as it is a defining features of the hominin clade, and universally accepted as an indication of reduced aggression (of all the non-human primates, bonobos have the smallest canines). All this evidence has lead the prominent anthropologist C. Owen Lovejoy to write that “our species-defining cooperative mutualism can now be seen to extend well beyond the deepest Pliocene [well beyond 5.3 mya]”. Jeremy explains that without understanding of the human condition, humans have found the cooperative and gentle nature of bonobos highly confronting of our own upset state (dealt with at length in FREEDOM chs. 5 & 6) and instead want to use the common chimpanzee’s aggressive nature as a model for human behaviour. This quote from primatologist Frans de Waal, who refers to the bonobos as ‘the forgotten ape’, supports this: “Two strategies have emerged to keep bonobos at a distance so as to preserve chimpanzee-based scenarios of human evolution, which traditionally emphasize warfare, hunting, tool use, and male dominance. The first strategy is to describe the bonobo as an interesting but specialized anomaly that can be safely ignored as a possible model of the last common ancestor… The second strategy, adopted by [Craig] Stanford, is to minimize the differences between the two Pan species: if bonobos behave, by and large, like chimpanzees, there is no reason to question the latter species’ prominence as a model” (see FREEDOMch. 6:6).
Yes, humans have cooperative and loving instincts, not selfish, aggressive ones. What is more, as Jeremy explains in Part 1 of THE Interview, “this idea that we have savage competitive and aggressive, must-reproduce-our-genes instincts cannot be the real reason for our species’ competitive and aggressive behaviour because, after all, words used to describe our human behaviour such as egocentric, arrogant, inspired, depressed, deluded, pessimistic, optimistic, artificial, hateful, cynical, mean, sadistic, immoral, brilliant, guilt-ridden, evil, psychotic, neurotic and alienated, all recognise the involvement of OUR species’ fully conscious thinking mind. They demonstrate that there is a psychological dimension to our behaviour; that we don’t suffer from a genetic-opportunism-driven ‘animal condition’, but a conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled HUMAN CONDITION.”
It needs to be emphasised that the subject of the human condition that Jeremy’s treatise addresses is the most important but also the most difficult and thus contentious of all subjects for humans to address because it deals with the ultimate confronting issue of ‘self’. When the renowned Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson wrote, ‘There is no grail more elusive or precious in the life of the mind than the key to understanding the human condition’ (The Social Conquest of Earth, 2012, p.1), he was making this point that while ‘understanding the human condition’ is the most ‘precious’ ‘grail’ of science, it is also the most ‘elusive’ ‘grail’ because the subject is the most difficult of all subjects for humans to engage with. It therefore has to be expected that Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition can cause hostile unfair attacks on it.
Despite the difficulty of the subject, Jeremy’s biological treatise of the human condition has received significant scientific evaluation, and, subsequent to that, scientific support (see here on our homepage) but is not yet widely accepted by the mechanistic scientific establishment.
We strongly recommend that everyone, such as yourself, who has concerns about the scientific validity of Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition, read our FAQ 1.10 as it addresses the full range of criticisms Jeremy’s treatise has attracted from those accustomed to science’s prevailing human-condition-avoiding, mechanistic paradigm—answering as it does, the questions of ‘Why does mechanistic science ignore, even attack, Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition? / Is this pseudo-science? / If this is real science, why isn’t it published in ‘peer-reviewed’ journals? / Does this treatise present new data and is it testable; in fact is it science at all? / Is this treatise inductive or deductive science? / What historical evidence is there for the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation? / How does science confirm the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation? / Does the treatise have ‘explanatory power’?/ Is this a ‘non-falsifiable’, circular argument?’

As a devoted Theosophist, l must say that humanity needs a course-correction immediately, and the preliminaries are given by Mr. Griffith. It will really help us to stay on the PATH. Please listen folks.. and try to live it....
WTM Admin
We are glad to hear you are finding Jeremy Griffith’s work illuminating. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, “Theosophical writers hold that there is a deeper spiritual reality and that direct contact with that reality can be established through intuition, meditation, revelation, or some other state transcending normal human consciousness.” The biological understanding of the human condition that Jeremy Griffith presents does produce a huge paradigm shift in our thinking so there is a lot to consider and absorb but as you progress you will see that through understanding and reconciling the clash between our instinctive and intellectual selves this explanation not only explains our alienation from “a deeper spiritual reality”, but it actually reconciles with that “reality” and allows us to access it, producing an incredible spiritual awakening in humanity. In FAQ 6.2 Jeremy explains the source of our duality or separation from Integrative Meaning or what we have called ‘God’: “the theme or purpose or meaning of existence is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. There is, however, an immense problem admitting this truth of integrative meaning, and that is it unbearably confronts us with our divisive, seemingly disintegrative selfish, competitive and aggressive human condition. The fact is that for a larger whole to form and hold together (integrate) the parts of that whole must consider the welfare of the whole above their own welfare. Simply stated, selflessness is integrative while selfishness is divisive or disintegrative. But this implies that we selfish and competitive humans have been living in defiance of ‘Integrative Meaning’, living in a way that is out of step with creation! In fact, Integrative Meaning has been such a terrifyingly condemning truth that we divisively behaved humans couldn’t face it. And so, to avoid facing it, we deified the process of Integrative Meaning as ‘God’, thus making it something separate and superior to us, not connected to us in an earthly, practical way. So, ‘God’ is the personification of Integrative Meaning, a personification that was necessary while we selfish and competitive humans couldn’t explain why we were seemingly at odds with ‘God’! IT IS ONLY NOW that we have the redeeming explanation of humans’ divisively behaved human condition, that we can at last afford to demystify ‘God’ as Integrative Meaning. You can read more about how ‘God’ is our personification of Integrative Meaning in chapter 4:3 of FREEDOM.”

I have listened to the interview many time and comparing notes with scriptures from the bible. This interview make sense to me and the biological explanation of human condition is the TRUTH that will help free man from himself. There is a psychological understanding of human condition that need to be explained to humans just like the spiritual condition being propagated by religion.
WTM Admin
Thank you so much Reverend. Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God, or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. And although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life; see Freedom Essay 23. I just have to say this is the most truefull I ever heard. This is absolutely One 100 %. I agree with this man so much. I know that we come from love, that’s obvious and that we have Broken Souls all of us, from Low to high from High to low, from left to right and right to left, that this stupid actions of War stop, it’s time to try to save our planet, our only place to be, we don’t have any more please, maybe some species have but we don’t

This is awesome. A victory for Science?
WTM Admin
Yes, it is a victory for science, but that represents a victory for all humans, because science has just been humanity’s vehicle searching for knowledge, ulimately knowledge of our psychologically upset human condition. As is explained in Part 2 of THE Interview science is the liberator or saviour of mankind. Craig Conway summarises that, “science’s discovery of the way genes and nerves work has finally made it possible for the liberation of humanity from the horror of the human condition”, to which Jeremy Griffith replies, “Yes, that is the essential truth: science is the liberator, the so-called ‘messiah’ or ‘redeemer’ of humankind, as we always hoped it would be!”

To save the world?
WTM Admin
Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s work explains that the issues that are threatening the world such as overpopulation, environmental destruction, resource depletion, the turmoil and conflict between races, countries and religions; material inequality, drug epidemics, mental health epidemics etc etc are merely symptoms of a deeper problem and will not fundamentally change at all until we solve the dilemma of the human condition — our capacity for ‘good’ and ‘evil’ — and bring self-understanding to the human situation.
As FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, the absolutely astonishing claims made about Jeremy Griffith’s treatise, such as Professor Harry Prosen (former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association) saying “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s work is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race”, do warrant initial extreme scepticism, but the amazing fact is that they all withstand scrutiny. A person can begin reading the explanation and the more they read into it the more they will realise the claims are actually true, and in time become appreciated for their forthright honesty in indicating where the solution to our problems lies.

This interview is quite informative and beneficial.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment, Jayachandrakumar. While religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Solving the human condition, and bringing about the ability to live truly “freely and happy”, required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological understanding that Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. That is the great breakthrough his work represents.

I have believed this for years but do not have a degree. I’m glad someone who is qualified like Jeremy Griffith wrote this book and speaks on these topics.
WTM Admin
Yes, not only does Jeremy Griffith speak about the historically off-limits subject of the human condition, his training in biology has allowed him to answer the fundamental question of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.
Amy
Beautiful presentation. Mind blowing theories, finally the world is in a place where everything can be in alignment and balance.

I’m a retired NZ Nurse by career. I have viewed this clip so many times (and still do.). Do you think capitalism immensely impacts how genes orientate a species? Interestingly, you mention matriarchal and its importance on family beliefs and values.
American Economism Richard Wolff (2024) suggests that due to economic hardship placed on the family unit today, both parents have to work just to make ends meet. So this now takes away from the family unit that matriarchal input. I have often heard said a female makes a house a home both physically and mentally.
I guess what I’m trying to say other contributing aspects impact the human psyche.
I hope this makes sense.
WTM Admin
Yes, Henry, there is certainly a lot to digest! One aspect of which is that while the ‘search for knowledge’ is the original source of humanity’s psychological upset, it is a compounding situation where the upset from that original source accumulates in the world, which then adversely affects subsequent generations, causing even more psychological upset, or mental health issues, and so on – and so there are certainly “other contributing aspects impact the human psyche”. And it makes sense that one of the main ways this happens is through the amount of nurturing that each generation receives from the previous. In fact, now that we can safely explain why we became so selfish and egocentric, we can also safely explain the paramount importance nurturing has played in human development; and so current trends that result in children receiving less nurturing are alarming. The bottom line however, is that now the human condition is solved, humanity’s necessary preoccupation with finding knowledge and proving its self worth, which is what has compromised our ability to nurture, now ends, allowing nurturing to once again become humanity’s central focus.

Kiunga Kareko
Were the 3 questions really answered?
WTM Admin
Good question Kiunga! At the beginning of Part 2 of THE Interview, Craig Conway puts forward the following challenge, “I do have some questions Jeremy. Firstly, while it seems an obvious explanation that when we became conscious a psychologically upsetting battle must have broken out with our dictatorial instincts, but if it is so obvious, why weren’t we taught this at school? And secondly, how were our bonobo-like ape ancestors able to become cooperative and loving, which, as you said, must be the origin of our instinctive moral conscience that Darwin said distinguishes us from other animals? And my third question is, how does ‘the psychological rehabilitation of the human race’ that Professor Prosen describes actually take place; I mean do we all have to go into therapy or something?”
The answer to the first question,‘if it is so obvious, why weren’t we taught this at school?’ is explained in Part 2 of THE Interview; that answer being, in short, that the human condition has historically been such a terrifying subject that we have lived in denial of it.
The answer to the second question, ‘how were our bonobo-like ape ancestors able to become cooperative and loving?’ is presented in Part 3; that answer being, in short, through the ‘love-indoctrination’ process.
The answer to the third question, ‘how does ‘the psychological rehabilitation of the human race’ actually take place?’ is presented in Part 4; that answer being, in short, through the so-called ‘Transformation’. Now that we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth, with our goodness now biologically established, it means we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living.
Diane Lynch
I am very excited about this new approach to the human condition and would like to hear and read about some. Thanks so much.
Neil Henderson
Nothing new here, the nature nurture “conflict” combined with instinctual and conscious conflict have been discussed ad nauseam for aeons.
WTM Admin
While it takes some time to digest, we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ and Video/Freedom Essay 4 which expands further on other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition.

Justice
Still trying to get my head around the whole conversation
WTM Admin
Thank you for your candour Justice. THE Interview explains, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can make it hard to understand all that is explained in one viewing (FAQ 1.16 explains this initial ‘deaf effect’). We suggest you watch the new companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect (here on our website) as it provides astonishing clarification of why lifting The Great Burden Of Guilt from the human race causes most people to initially experience such difficulty. We hope you persevere Justice because if you watch The Great Guilt it includes examples of people overcoming the deaf effect and shows why being patient through this obstacle is well worth the time!

I greatly appreciate and humbly acknowledge this insight of Jeremy Griffith . Thank you I will look further into his studies and listen again and again - instilling new Hope!

[It reminds me of the great work of Piotr Kropotkin at the beginning of the 20th century with his beautifully documented book ‘Mutual Aid as a Factor of Progress’. It is important to document and make visible all the forms of solidarity that have allowed us to reach this selfish and obsessively competitive madness that is destroying us. Cheers and strength to Jeremy Griffith! (translated from Spanish)]
WTM Admin
Thanks for your thoughts Mario. We suggest that while thinkers like Piotr Kropotkin have attempted to argue that true communal behaviour can be selected for through natural selection, as Jeremy Griffith explains in Part 4:12D of Freedom Expanded: Book 1, “Peter Kropotkin, who as an avowed communist, was being extremely naive when he wrote about natural selection as being concerned with ‘the progressive evolution of the species’, writing in his 1902 book Mutual Aid: A Factor of Evolution, for example, that ‘in all these scenes of animal life which passed before my eyes, I saw Mutual Aid and Mutual Support carried on to an extent which made me suspect in it a feature of the greatest importance for the maintenance of life, the preservation of each species, and its further evolution’. Natural selection is part of a greater integrative, order-of-matter-developing, ‘progressive’ process, but natural selection itself is limited to being only concerned with competition between sexually reproducing individuals, which means virtually ‘all these scenes of animal life’ that we see ‘before’our ‘eyes’ are not concerned with ‘Mutual Aid and Mutual Support’ but with extreme competition between sexually reproducing individuals.” We recommend chapter 6:9 of FREEDOM for an expose of this false biology that claims cooperation can be selected for.
Jeremy explains how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process, which produced our all-loving, altruistic instincts and he uses the example of the cooperative and maternal bonobos, who have developed this ‘love-indoctrination’ process to a lesser degree, see FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do the nurtured and cooperative bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’
With regard to the ‘integrative purpose’, with human’s selfish behaviour now explained and defended, Jeremy’s work goes on to explain that there is a clear theme or purpose or meaning of existence, which is the ordering or integration or cooperatiion of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy (physicist Erwin Schrödinger introduced the concept of negentropy in 1944) which Kropotkin would find confirming of his idea that cooperation is a driving force in evolution, see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is God?’.

Barbara Bailey
I just can’t make head nor tail of what this man is trying to say. If it is so simple to understand why isn’t it?
WTM Admin
We appreciate your question Barbara as the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Then, not knowing why we can’t take in what’s being written, we can become frustrated and blame the presentation, believe it’s badly written or is repetitive or needs summarising. Thankfully, however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! This is explained in FAQ 1.16 and Jeremy Griffith’s astonishingly revealing presentation, The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect which is the next introductory video to watch after THE Interview. It is here on our website and we hope you will watch as it is an astonishingly revealing presentation.

Eye opening.. Mind blowing re:The Human Condition
John Edward Kennedy
Authority : Provides Power and Control to Leaders. However Power and Control doesn’t necessaryily provide good leaders. How do we get main stream science and or biology to convince the average human being this break through, is more than just another view or method of using power and control to make people behave and act as power brokers might wish. Politics would certainly get in the way. Cheers John E. Kennedy.
WTM Admin
Hi John, thank you for your thoughts. As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However once this information gets a foothold through enough people developing a deep appreciation and desire to support it, the selfless love and energy that will generate will solve our problems very quickly because, as THE Interview explains, instead of being selfishly preoccupied with power, fame, fortune and glory all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world. This is explained in our FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

Amazing!
Mathew Mathai
I desire to learn the fundamental
WTM Admin
It is wonderful to have your interest Mathew! Part 1 of THE Interview presents the fundamental explanation and our FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.

Thank you Mr.Jeremy and Craig I am glad to hear that we come from a place of pure love, which I have known this since I was a child. The world is a cruel, place because of demonic individuals who wish to control the masses! I hope everyone will wake up and be as lovely and kind to all!
WTM Admin
Thank you Valarie and yes as THE Interview explains we have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good but we have never been able to explain our competitive and selfish behaviour. It takes a little time to fully grasp the universality of what this explains but to truly heal the psychosis we all suffer from to varying degrees we have to solve the human condition—end the underlying, core insecurity in us about why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative (“come from a place of pure love”) we are so selfish and competitive. This required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great breakthrough Jeremy presents. Only this defence of our ‘dark side’could bring love and kindness back to the world, because only now are all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defense for why we had to defy our instincts and become so psychologically upset — it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!

This is absolutely amazing indeed in terms of the entire existence of the human race in so far as it relates to how we associate with each other and based on just what makes us to act or react in certain ways in the first place.. Jeremy Griffiths video presentation is truly eye opening and inspiring.
Michael Ong
You are entitled to repeat this explanation and though it may sound pleasant and simple. It’s not entirely plausible to explain the human condition.
It’s certainly not the only way forward. To give salvation to a human experience based on one group of Primates on earth?
Also your limited knowledge on Sociology does come acrossed on your critique of Socialism.?
WTM Admin
Hi Michael, thank you for your thoughts. There is a lot to digest here and we suggest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ treatise does comprehensively explain the human condition as the outstanding commendations it has received from eminent scientists and thinkers attest (see here on our homepage).
The fundamental explanation is very simple but, as explained in THE Interview, it opens up the historically off-limits subject of the human condition so people can initially struggle to access or ‘hear’ what is being explained. Part 1 presents the explanation as quickly and simply as possible and to confront and explain this underlying issue in all human affairs there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered, which make up Parts 2, 3 & 4 of THE Interview and references are included where aspects of the explanation are dealt with in greater detail. However FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.
In terms of the bonobo chimpanzee you refer to, as discussed in THE Interview, there is clear evidence that humans developed from a cooperative and loving ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model; the fossil evidence for our cooperative past is fully presented in chapter 5:5 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM and summarised in FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do the nurtured and cooperative bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’.
Also, as Jeremy explains in Part 4 of THE Interview “there’s one more thing I should explain, which is that socialism, the new age movement, the politically correct movement, and all the other idealistic movements, were actually all false starts to a human-condition-free world because the upsetting battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, the psychologically relieving understanding of why we are good and not bad, still had to be completed. In fact, while dogmatically insisting that everyone should be cooperative and loving could make you feel that you were doing good and be superficially psychologically very relieving, such insistence on ideal behaviour denied people the freedom they needed to be able to continue the all-important upsetting search for knowledge. These movements were pseudo idealistic movements that stifled and oppressed the search for the understanding of our corrupted condition that was needed to actually free us from that state. They were regressive, not progressive as they deluded themselves they were. It was actually the right-wing who have supported the upsetting battle to find knowledge that held the moral highground, not the pseudo idealistic left-wing.” This is dealt with in greater detail in our FAQs about politics, in particular 7.3 ‘How does the left wing explain human nature’ which focuses on the origin and progression of cooperation-not-competition-supporting, selflessness-not-selfishness-emphasising left-wing thinking, and should be read in conjunction with Freedom Essay 35 ‘Death by Dogma: The biological reason why the Left is leading us to extinction, and the solution’.

Gary Ciomek
Simple, but not easy. Must listen again and read the transcripts.
WTM Admin
Yes Gary that is not an uncommon statement as this breakthrough explanation is very simple but the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Thankfully however this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance, as you are encouraging people to do, and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! This is explained in FAQ 1.16 and Jeremy Griffith’s astonishingly revealing presentation, The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect, which is the next introductory video to watch after THE Interview, and it is here on our website.
Also to give readers of these comments a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established cooperative instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric – the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition, see FAQ 1.3 ‘What is biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition?’
WTM Admin
Great to have your interest Natalie! At last we can see that our egocentricity and conflicted state is a product of the clash between our instincts and intellect and explaining this certainly brings perspective and healing understanding to our condition. For readers of these comments the bird explanation Natalie mentions is referring to the essential ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation which Jeremy Griffith presents in Part 1 of this interview using the ‘Adam Stork’ analogy. This analogy is to help people visualise his explanation of the human condition, key to which is an understanding of the difference between our instincts and intellect, and the effect that difference has had on our behaviour. As Jeremy explains in Part 1, he has found that the easiest way to illustrate how our species’ ‘human condition’ arose is to ask the reader to “imagine the predicament faced by an animal whose life had always been controlled by its instincts suddenly developing a conscious mind, because if we do that we will very quickly see how that animal would develop a psychologically troubled competitive and aggressive condition like we suffer from.” This analogy serves as a powerful metaphor for the journey our species has been on in the quest for self-understanding.

It’s really out stunning
Obrigada. Iluminou todos os quartos escuros da minha alma.Tem de chegar a todas as pessoas. [Thank you. You’ve illuminated all the dark rooms of my soul. You have to reach everyone. (translated from Portuguese)]

Very nice material

our violent behaviour must have started with the discovery of weaponry ,and that the knowledge of a weapon can give you a control over others ,hence slaves ,and it give you power over others ,until others develop arms of a of an equal or better value thats when fighting starts and you get to mass fights ,war ,and then develop more arms through our brains learning to find and solve problems
I’m blown away
Ground shattering concepts, gives a lot more understanding of why we humans behave the way we do.
I am so excited about this ! Cannot wait to read the books !

Something did not start from nothing. The organization of the universe despels that! God created the universe “Ex-nihilo,”without the use of pre-existant materials.
So our ability now to understand the human condition necessarily ends the fear, confusion, bewilderment and mystery that fuelled such superstitious thought; it ends ignorance.”The following explanation, written by Jeremy in 2020 in response to a question about the role of ‘God’ in creating the ‘big bang’, is also helpful: “Starting from the ‘big bang’ and the creation of the universe and the laws of physics, you can follow the development of the order of matter all the way to the development of conscious humans and their conflict with their instinctive self, and the resulting upset state of the human condition. Get rid of our insecurity about our human condition and the issue of God as we have tried to understand God while in that insecure state goes, and then it’s simply a matter of physics learning more about the big bang and what preceded it as an interesting intellectual topic totally separate from the issue of the human condition and our resulting wrestling match with ‘God’.”For further reading we recommend Freedom Essay 23 on Integrative Meaning or ‘God’; and our FAQs on Religion.Mind breaking that makes me fall head over heels in love with it. I am very keen on this Doc. for the breakthrough...
Wonderful truth! Thanks for an old truth with NEW Scientific evidence.
It was quite a long wait, but light finally appears at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much for helping me clarify this ancient imposed false reality.
Well at 23 minutes you lost your Christian, Muslim and Jewish audience. Not necessarily wise since there are quite a few of them out there. Might want to edit that part out. Just sayin. Your welcome.
This has got to be one of the most important peace of information everyone needs to absorb it is most simple and direct straight to the point of awakening it has answered many of my own questions and concerns about our world and humanity understanding our past behavior and current human condition will help our future better understanding of healthy loving peaceful life yet to come thanks to Jeremy G I have no questions what so ever on this topic of human condition but take this great knowledge to teach my children family and friends.
I like to learn...
Let’s hear it out
Wow this the amazing connections of science and the divine nature.
And indeed, as you will see in this booklet Al & Aliens: the truthful analysis, his thoughts on these issues are incredibly enlightening and interesting!” No doubt you will you enjoy it and we wish you all the very best for your PhD thesis.
l enjoyed your explanation sincerely,l have gained some insight on the biological nature of the human race.thanks alot.
This is indeed the book that can save the world.
Wonderful news for people suffering from this human condition and can become sound and safe again.
Amazing knowledge!! Thanks!!
Very original and important theory I am interested to read your book Thanks

Interesting very different to anything we have been made to believe
It is an incredibly true and fascinating explanation of Human Psychology.
Also see FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’.Also we wanted to include this extract from Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM chapter 6:5 which uses the example of the nurturing, loving behaviour of elephants: “...As was emphasised in chapter 5:4 [titled ‘Love-Indoctrination’], the problem is that love-indoctrination is an extremely difficult process to develop and maintain to the point where the fierce competition to reproduce your genes is contained and integration achieved. The truth is that in the relatively developed/ integrated/ social species of mammals, nurturing has moved beyond the primitive, pre-love-indoctrination, ‘must nourish and protect’ maternal situation to the ‘must love’ maternal situation—they are attempting to develop love-indoctrination.”Given your interest in the biology we highly recommend you read FREEDOM (especially chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7) which is freely available here on our homepage in various formats including an audio book narrated by world renowned mountaineer, biologist and Order of Australia recipient Tim Macartney-Snape who said of Jeremy’s work “Griffith’s explanations have clarified so much that was inexplicable about myself and what goes on in the world. It is like having mist lift from country you’ve never seen in clear weather.”The present situation may change in to the peaceful ,healthy & Nonviolence human race in the world .Thanks. Hare Krishna..!!
Still trying to understand...i dont see how understandinis that we are good Helps us relieve the human condition I am missing the point. Want to get it I have watched the interview twice.
Please share me the video, so that I can share as I can.

Thanks for your comment Umwaka. Firstly, there are a lot of comments to scroll through on this thread but they do reflect a fair representation of the feedback we receive. This includes counter opinion, and critical and negative feedback, however we do reserve the right to moderate the comments to ensure the thread is as constructive as possible. As is explained under our ‘Submit comment’ box: “Please note, to ensure constructive discussion we moderate comments (which may take some hours) and may not publish any we feel are motivated by malice, or that make criticisms already addressed and repudiated, or ask questions already prominently answered on our comprehensive website with its many freely available books, essays and FAQs that can be easily searched electronically.”Also, Jeremy Griffith who is a biologist, explains in this Interview the key biological distinction between humans and other animal species is that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. The first strategy is to describe the bonobo as an interesting but specialized anomaly that can be safely ignored as a possible model of the last common ancestor… The second strategy, adopted by [Craig] Stanford, is to minimize the differences between the two Pan species: if bonobos behave, by and large, like chimpanzees, there is no reason to question the latter species’ prominence as a model” (see FREEDOM ch. 6:6).Yes, humans have cooperative and loving instincts, not selfish, aggressive ones. They demonstrate that there is a psychological dimension to our behaviour; that we don’t suffer from a genetic-opportunism-driven ‘animal condition’, but a conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled HUMAN CONDITION.”It needs to be emphasised that the subject of the human condition that Jeremy’s treatise addresses is the most important but also the most difficult and thus contentious of all subjects for humans to address because it deals with the ultimate confronting issue of ‘self’. It therefore has to be expected that Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition can cause hostile unfair attacks on it.Despite the difficulty of the subject, Jeremy’s biological treatise of the human condition has received significant scientific evaluation, and, subsequent to that, scientific support (see here on our homepage) but is not yet widely accepted by the mechanistic scientific establishment. / Does the treatise have ‘explanatory power’?/ Is this a ‘non-falsifiable’, circular argument?’Enlightening!
Thankyou!! You have swept the corners of my mind. I have felt a peace so deep and warm I have sent this to 20+ of my freinds and family. I Will be looking for hard copy as I love to underlige which helps me remember.
Insightful helpful
As a devoted Theosophist, l must say that humanity needs a course-correction immediately, and the preliminaries are given by Mr. Griffith. It will really help us to stay on the PATH. Please listen folks.. and try to live it....

Ggreat información. I hope all the world could listen AND be prepares for the chance of mind. Thank you very much!
People might also find our FAQs about religion of interest.
Wonderful and enlightening...I feel we are on that path as each generation is more loving than the last...thank you for explaining the human condition.
I want your book more than anything

I just have to say this is the most truefull I ever heard. This is absolutely One 100 %. I agree with this man so much. I know that we come from love, that’s obvious and that we have Broken Souls all of us, from Low to high from High to low, from left to right and right to left, that this stupid actions of War stop, it’s time to try to save our planet, our only place to be, we don’t have any more please, maybe some species have but we don’t
This is awesome. A victory for Science?
Thank you so very much
To save the world?
A person can begin reading the explanation and the more they read into it the more they will realise the claims are actually true, and in time become appreciated for their forthright honesty in indicating where the solution to our problems lies.Curious/interested

Wow, thank you, this how I believe, eloquently said would like to hear more!
Correct and absolutely brilliant
Prepare 2 B amazed !
This is very enlightening indeed to understand our human condition thru the perspective of science.
Very interesting rethinking of the evolution of human condition.
Absolutely spot on. I am a Metis elder that has worked towards the very book u wrote for the last 61 years here in British Colombia Canada
Thousands of years before Vedas explained and answered how to understand ourselves and live freely and happily. This interview is quite informative and beneficial.
Very astonishing
Absolutely wonderful
Interesting, going to watch and sign up for more
Amazing thought provoking
We have the knowledge, solutions, communication, distribution We just need our prime ministers and presidents to put this to practice instead of pleading ignorance. Why relate to old testament.. it was written by humans. uhh ! Don’t do gods and drugs !
No solicitation for money?
That’s right, Nelson; the work of the WTM is a scientific pursuit and was not created for profit, so all of our information and materials (including books, videos and podcasts) are provided absolutely free of charge on our website HumanCondition.com with no email registration required.
So mind blowing
I have believed this for years but do not have a degree. I’m glad someone who is qualified like Jeremy Griffith wrote this book and speaks on these topics.
Great work of passionate talent!
Awesome!
Fascinating new theory.
Were the 3 questions really answered?
Good question Kiunga! At the beginning of Part 2 of THE Interview, Craig Conway puts forward the following challenge, “I do have some questions Jeremy. Firstly, while it seems an obvious explanation that when we became conscious a psychologically upsetting battle must have broken out with our dictatorial instincts, but if it is so obvious, why weren’t we taught this at school? And secondly, how were our bonobo-like ape ancestors able to become cooperative and loving, which, as you said, must be the origin of our instinctive moral conscience that Darwin said distinguishes us from other animals? And my third question is, how does ‘the psychological rehabilitation of the human race’ that Professor Prosen describes actually take place; I mean do we all have to go into therapy or something?” The answer to the first question,‘if it is so obvious, why weren’t we taught this at school?’ is explained in Part 2 of THE Interview; that answer being, in short, that the human condition has historically been such a terrifying subject that we have lived in denial of it.
I am very excited about this new approach to the human condition and would like to hear and read about some. Thanks so much.
Nothing new here, the nature nurture “conflict” combined with instinctual and conscious conflict have been discussed ad nauseam for aeons.
Thank you for this information. Very enlightening!
So badly needed!
Still trying to get my head around the whole conversation
Jeremy explains how humans biologically overcame this genetic limitation through what he identifies as the ‘love-indoctrination’ process, which produced our all-loving, altruistic instincts and he uses the example of the cooperative and maternal bonobos, who have developed this ‘love-indoctrination’ process to a lesser degree, see FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do the nurtured and cooperative bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’ With regard to the ‘integrative purpose’, with human’s selfish behaviour now explained and defended, Jeremy’s work goes on to explain that there is a clear theme or purpose or meaning of existence, which is the ordering or integration or cooperatiion of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy (physicist Erwin Schrödinger introduced the concept of negentropy in 1944) which Kropotkin would find confirming of his idea that cooperation is a driving force in evolution, see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is God?’.
I’m gr8ful that I could listen freely to this conversation

I just can’t make head nor tail of what this man is trying to say. If it is so simple to understand why isn’t it?
Kennedy.
Amazing!
I desire to learn the fundamental
It is wonderful to have your interest Mathew! Part 1 of THE Interview presents the fundamental explanation and our FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.
Interesting, amazing, thought filled
Incredible!!
Thank you Mr.Jeremy and Craig I am glad to hear that we come from a place of pure love, which I have known this since I was a child. The world is a cruel, place because of demonic individuals who wish to control the masses! I hope everyone will wake up and be as lovely and kind to all!
Very enlightening
I’ve just watched this interview from Ireland. It’s way past my bedtime, but I just couldn’t resist sitting through the whole interview and receiving such an amazing and invaluable education on our consciousness. Hopefully, we will all come to our senses before we completely destroy our beautiful world and ourselves before it’s too late. Thank you 😊
This is absolutely amazing indeed in terms of the entire existence of the human race in so far as it relates to how we associate with each other and based on just what makes us to act or react in certain ways in the first place.. Jeremy Griffiths video presentation is truly eye opening and inspiring.
In terms of the bonobo chimpanzee you refer to, as discussed in THE Interview, there is clear evidence that humans developed from a cooperative and loving ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model; the fossil evidence for our cooperative past is fully presented in chapter 5:5 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM and summarised in FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do the nurtured and cooperative bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’.Also, as Jeremy explains in Part 4 of THE Interview “there’s one more thing I should explain, which is that socialism, the new age movement, the politically correct movement, and all the other idealistic movements, were actually all false starts to a human-condition-free world because the upsetting battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, the psychologically relieving understanding of why we are good and not bad, still had to be completed. It was actually the right-wing who have supported the upsetting battle to find knowledge that held the moral highground, not the pseudo idealistic left-wing.” This is dealt with in greater detail in our FAQs about politics, in particular 7.3 ‘How does the left wing explain human nature’ which focuses on the origin and progression of cooperation-not-competition-supporting, selflessness-not-selfishness-emphasising left-wing thinking, and should be read in conjunction with Freedom Essay 35 ‘Death by Dogma: The biological reason why the Left is leading us to extinction, and the solution’.Worth listening
Thank you very much. Really superb insight. We in our search of truth always believe that Bliss and peace is the real aspect of human life. This interview endorsed our belief.
I wish I listened to this sooner.I sit back and I wonder why people argue. Its all ego.lThis helps give u more understanding of the mind when two people conflict and listening to this puts things more into perspective.I think everybody should watch this.luv the bird explanation.
Simple, but not easy. Must listen again and read the transcripts.
But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition, see FAQ 1.3 ‘What is biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition?’Great to have your interest Natalie!
Thank you for all the help and advice....
Excellent thank you 😊
Amazing interview
