How do explain the beginning and Darwin realized he was wrong.
WTM Admin
Some people have promoted the idea that on his death bed Darwin denounced natural selection and expressed a belief in the existence of God. This idea originates from a story told by Lady Elizabeth Hope to a devotional meeting in 1915, 30 years after Darwin’s death. Even ignoring the 30 year delay, the actual words that Lady Hope claims Darwin uttered do not reveal that he disowned his theory of natural selection. According to Lady Hope, Darwin said, “I was a young man with uninformed ideas. I threw out queries, suggestions, wondering all the time over everything; and to my astonishment the ideas took like wildfire. People made a religion of them.”
It also needs to be pointed out that nowhere in his autobiography, written in the years before his death, does Darwin disown his theory. With regard to a belief in God, he wrote, “I for one must be content to remain an Agnostic [a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known about the nature of God].”
What is of much more importance is that since Darwin’s death, accumulating evidence has only cemented the truth of natural selection. To the point where, as was reported in Scientific American in 2009, “No educated person any longer questions the validity of the so-called theory of evolution, which we now know to be a simple fact. Likewise, most of Darwin’s particular theses have been fully confirmed, such as that of common descent, the gradualism of evolution, and his explanatory theory of natural selection.” (Ernst Mayr, Darwin’s influence on Modern Thought).
It is worth considering that with the human condition solved, a lot of things can be demystified and explained properly, and that does include ‘evolution’. We can now understand and admit that ‘development’ is a more accurate word than ‘evolution’, for while evolution implies that organisms do change or evolve it avoids acknowledging that there is a direction and purpose to that change, which is to develop the order of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. Until we could defend our apparently divisive human condition, we have not been able to admit to this Integrative Meaning of existence, and so mechanistic science in particular has not been able to admit that evolution is a ‘developmental’ process not a random one. So starting from the ‘big bang’ and the creation of the universe and the laws of physics, you can follow the development of the order of matter all the way to the development of conscious humans and their conflict with their instinctive self, and the resulting upset state of the human condition. You can read more about this in Jeremy’s essay ‘The truthful biology: the real story of the development of life, including humans’. Similarly, we can finally understand that ‘God’ is our deification of the underlying theme of all existence of the integration of matter. You can read more about this topic in our FAQ 6.2 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’? / Does the scientific explanation of ‘God’ really contain all the attributes of religion’s metaphysical ‘God’?’

The science justified what the bible has prophesied. Finally we know who we truely are! Thats freedom yay. When we know this truth it sets us free!
WTM Admin
Yes Salome! Religions everywhere have prophesised a world of peace. However in order to fundamentally bring peace to the human condition we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. This is what allows genuine reconciliation between the our moral, altruistic instincts, and our psychologically upset intellect. Through explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, bringing true peace to our condition. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest.

The interview was great, and what is more important is that the learning process can transform life, bringing peace and happiness. Please teach us how to work with the instructions. So we can appreciate all of the steps and learn to enjoy them as well.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Joseph. Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’, presents the answer to how this understanding allows everyone to transform their lives. It explains that it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.4 ‘How does this understanding transform the world’.

WTM Admin
Thanks Tony. We recommend Jeremy Griffith’s book, Death by Dogma, which is freely available. In it Jeremy emphasises that while it is easy to identify with the ideal of everyone being cooperative and loving, the whole objective of the human journey was to find understanding of why humans have not been cooperative and loving and instead so divisively competitive and aggressive. That is the great riddle of the human condition that had to be explained. Now at last we can understand why we humans have been competitive, aggressive and selfish, and, most wonderfully of all, by revealing that reason, the need for that divisive behaviour is ended. Which brings us to the final paradox of the human condition: through the right wing upholding the selfishness needed to persevere with the search for knowledge, we all now become left-wing (as it were, although the truth is that the whole ugly business of politics is now brought to a close). We also recommend our FAQs on politics.

Candis
Help please help me understand!?
WTM Admin
Hi Candis, the breakthrough explanation of the human condition presents a massive paradigm shift in our thinking so it’s natural to need to take time to digest and understand all it reveals. As Jeremy Griffith describes, the human condition has historically been such a fearful, off-limits topic and the mind simply needs time to ride out the initial shock of having it broached and all manner of mystery unlocked. We encourage re-watching THE Interview and looking at the Introductory Videos on the WTM’s homepage because the more you do absorb this explanation, the more you realise just how all-clarifying, all-redeeming, all-reconciling, all-healing, all-liberating it is. Our FAQ 1.3 may also be helpful as it presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established cooperative instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric – the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

Seems to be a Freudian Id versus Super ego.
Societal shaped consciousness
WTM Admin
Hi Janet, there is a fundamental difference between Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition (which is illustrated by the Adam Stork story) and Freud’s theory of the Id, Ego and Superego. While Jeremy acknowledges Freud’s courageous recognition that humans carry negative, repressed elements of our personality, a ‘repressed unconscious’, beyond that, there is very little similarity. Freud believed that the ‘ID’, our unconscious, instinctive mind, contained primitive selfish ‘savage’ urges that the conscious mind or ‘ego’ has to control, whereas Jeremy has now explained that our instinctive self is completely loving and cooperative, and that our aggressive and selfish behaviour is psychological in origin, the result of a clash between our instincts and intellect. Freud also believed that our morals are learnt and held by the superego, whereas Jeremy has now explained that they are the expression of our loving, cooperative moral soul or instincts. By starting from the false basis that we have ‘savage instincts’ that the ego had to control and mediate meant that Freud was not able to explain the ultimate source of human’s psychological problems. You may be interested in our FAQ 1.47 that elaborates on this response (it’s titled: ‘How does Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition differ from the theories of Freud or Jung?’)

The human condition is a consequence of recognizing death, and denying its consequence in life.
WTM Admin
In his new book, The Human Condition, Jeremy Griffith recognises this definition of the human condition, writing that, “Less evasive interpretations of the human condition do recognise that it has something to do with a mental struggle, but these guilt-free accounts still find a way to avoid going anywhere near what that struggle really is. Such interpretations include saying that the human condition is the despair that comes with being conscious because it makes us realise we will die someday; or that the human condition is simply the terror we conscious humans experience from having the free will to choose what to do without knowing the outcome.”
He then explains that the real human condition is the terrible insecurity of not being able to answer the question: “What is the origin of the dark, volcanic forces that undeniably exist within us humans? What is it deep within us humans that has troubled us so terribly? What is it that makes us such combative, ruthless, hateful, retaliatory, violent, in truth psychologically disturbed beings?”
Joseph Preston
Thank you, and encouraged to find out this information of we humans, and all the situations that have been hidden from us all many years ago, a great study.

Excellent and very beautifully explained. Has gone into depth or root of all the cause. I will like to share my experiences and discuss how the Oriental way of thinking and belief systems run parallel with what Dr. Griffith has explained.
WTM Admin
Thanks Sunder, we look forward to hearing about your studies. It is true that Oriental spiritual practices and religions contain all manner of truths about human life, however, as you are appreciating, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

Fascinating and challenging! As a layman, I agree with some of Jeremy’s statements, and to others ......hmmm! Thank you.
WTM Admin
Thanks for your consideration Daniel. There is certainly a lot to digest here, so it’s completely natural to find some parts immediately convincing and others a bit “hmmm”. Jeremy Griffith’s work opens up a new way of thinking, and as we often say, it takes a little time to fully absorb what’s being presented. And as FAQ 1.9 explains, initial hesitation is absolutely warranted with something this comprehensive — but the amazing fact is that the deeper you go, the more the explanation holds together.
If you’d like to follow your interest further, our World Transformation Movement homepage at HumanCondition.com lays out a very clear path. At the top it says “WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?”, which guides you through the best next steps: the Introductory Videos, key Freedom Essays, and ways to engage with the material at your own pace.

Just another ad?
WTM Admin
Scepticism is absolutely warranted — the absolutely astonishing claims being made about this explanation should attract a cautious eye. But this isn’t “just another ad”. As FAQ 1.9 explains, even eminent thinkers like Professor Harry Prosen (former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association) have said they have “no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought”.
What people discover is that the claims actually withstand scrutiny. The more you read or watch, the more you see this is first-principle-based biological explanation — not a belief system, not a sales pitch, and not something with a hidden agenda. It’s all free, and it’s simply there to be tested: if it stacks up, great; if it doesn’t, you’re free to reject it.

WTM Admin
Yes, the current state of the world does not make anyone optimistic. As Professor Harry Prosen has said, ‘the fastest growing realization everywhere is that humanity can’t go on the way it is going. Indeed, the great fear is we’re entering endgame where we appear to have lost the race between self-destruction and self-understanding.’ However, if you do look at it again Aqeel, you will start to realise that with Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition we now have that urgently needed self-understanding. And while this necessarily has a slow start, humanity’s uptake of the explanation has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet, including teaching other people about this redeeming information, but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can (see FAQ 1.5)! Basically, so exciting and relieving is this breakthrough, and the freedom from the human condition that is now on offer, that everyone will want it, and so it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening. Just read the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving on our homepage and see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM on our Commendations and Reviews page! Also FAQ 1.40 is most helpful as it answers the question ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

Wonderful interview
Lunevî Sasû
I really thought that this was going to be a decent documentary. Unfortunately, I got disappointed as soon as you just started quoting the bible and divine nonsense.
WTM Admin
Hi Lunevî. As THE Interview makes clear, there is no dogma, faith or belief involved. This understanding, and the World Transformation Movement which supports it, is the antithesis of a religious system. What is presented is an accountable scientific, first principle-based, rational, testable understanding of the human condition, which has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers around the world, see the Commendations on our homepage.
However, because the human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. For instance Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. Jeremy’s work represents a reconciliation of science and religion, see FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is a biological explanation why are there religious references?’

Beautiful to a soul
WTM Admin
Thanks very much Carla. We thought we would add these opening words from our FAQ 1.26 ‘What is soul, have we all got one, has it been repressed, and if so, how do we rehabilitate it?’: The human race has been using the term ‘soul’ in many ways, but the common theme of the references are to a very sensitive, pure and true moral part of ourselves. To re-quote what’s said about our all-sensitive and all-loving moral nature in paragraph 379 of FREEDOM, “The origin of the words associated with our moral nature reveals this underlying awareness of the extraordinarily loving, ideal-behaviour-expecting, ‘good-and-evil’-differentiating, sound nature of our instinctive self or ‘psyche’ or ‘soul’, the ‘voice’ or expression of which is our ‘conscience’. For instance, our ‘conscience’ is defined as our ‘moral sense of right and wrong’, and our ‘soul’ as the ‘moral and emotional part of man’, and as the ‘animating or essential part’ of us (Concise Oxford Dictionary, 5th edn, 1964), while, as mentioned in pars 258 and 260, the Penguin Dictionary of Psychology’s entry for ‘psyche’ reads: ‘The oldest and most general use of this term is by the early Greeks, who envisioned the psyche as the soul or the very essence of life.’ Indeed, as the ‘early Greek’ philosopher Plato wrote about our innate, ideal-or-Godly-behaviour-expecting moral nature, we humans have ‘knowledge, both before and at the moment of birth…of all absolute standards…[of] beauty, goodness, uprightness, holiness…our souls exist before our birth…[our] soul resembles the divine’ (Phaedo, c.360 BC; tr. H. Tredennick, 1954, 65-80).” So yes, our ‘soul resembles the divine’, it resembles ‘all [the] absolute standards…[of] beauty, goodness, uprightness, holiness’, which is the ‘Godly’, integrative cooperative and loving ideal state, which makes it the ‘animating or essential part’ of us, the part that is orientated to a ‘moral’ cooperative and loving way of living, a way of living which is ‘the very essence of life’.

Thank you for this presentation 🙏
Joe Bell
Yeah we’ve moved on from being primates through the power of thought, but we still have primeval thought in our minds, when animals fight they are actually going to war but with themselves. Humans as a group try and defend their place of which they call theirs, that is why we are racist as we see other nations as alien to us as they don’t look like us, or act the same, therefore we go to war, or we disrespect other humans and their culture. As science is regarded as a great gift to humans, making humans live longer but may have an opposite effect as if we live longer we are still dependent on feeding off it, therefore demand to keep everyone fed and watered is taking a toll on the planet’s resources, and greed is a main contender. Everybody wants to be well enough off to get the means to ease our life as humans now, if we can’t we lose the will to try and go into deep depression as we see ourselves as defeated.
WTM Admin
You’re raising a lot of the symptoms we all see in human behaviour — conflict, prejudice, greed, depression, competition for resources. But what is explained in THE Interview is very different about what actually causes all this.
It’s not our “primeval” or ‘savage instincts’ as it is with other animals. In fact, our instinctive orientation is the opposite — it’s cooperative and altruistic, which is why we have a conscience in the first place. If our instincts were the source of the brutality in human behaviour, we’d never feel guilt or remorse. What Jeremy Griffith explains is that our destructive behaviour comes from a psychological conflict, not an instinctive one. A clash occured between our cooperative instincts and our emerging consciousness, the result of which is that we became psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated sufferers of the human condition.
Once you understand that, all the symptoms — racism, territorialism, greed, hopelessness, environmental destruction — fall into place. They’re expressions of that unresolved insecurity, not evidence of some animalistic instinct driving us.
And that’s why solving the human condition is so important. When you finally understand the real cause of our upset behaviour, the insecurity lifts, and the behaviour changes. See our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’.

Scott
Here’s the human condition, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Scott. If you haven’t watched THE Interview we hope you do as in Part 1 biologist Jeremy Griffith reveals that our core instinctive orientation is to be loving and cooperative not “deceitful” and “desperately wicked”. He explains all humans are born with all-loving moral instincts, not savage animal instincts, but now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. However until now, unable to defend our non-loving, divisive behaviour, admitting our core instinctive orientation was to be loving and cooperative left us unbearably condemned, and so we employed the false excuse that we have savage instincts like other animals. Part 3 especially evidences this key biological distinction that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. And, most significantly, as Part 4 explains a psychosis can be healed with understanding, so our psychologically upset human nature is fixable or changeable—not unchangeable. If you would like to explore this further we suggest FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?’
Daniel Bulus
I enjoyed the interview, it’s a good idea. Thanks!
Nathan Gote
I agree because this is true
Pam
Yes but how do we survive in this world?
WTM Admin
Hi Pam, this biological breakthrough at last frees us from the false excuse that we are driven by genetic selfishness or survival of the fittest genes but it takes a little time to work through our old way of thinking about biology. In THE Interview biologist Jeremy Griffith explains all humans are born with an instinctive self or soul that is perfectly aligned to a cooperative and selfless way of living and that humans’ selfish and competitive behaviour is not a product of savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by the unavoidable clash between our instinct and intellect. And, most significantly, as Part 4 explains a psychosis can be healed with understanding, so our psychologically upset human nature is fixable or changeable—not unchangeable. So not only can we now understand that our original instinctive orientation is to be loving and cooperative, we can also understand that our competitive, aggressive, destructive behaviour was an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. This understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to return to our natural loving and cooperative way of living. As our FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ explains: “With our goodness and worth established through understanding, we will no longer need to be constantly preoccupied with proving our goodness and worth through artificial forms of reinforcement, such as through winning power, fame, fortune and glory, and this ability to finally love ourselves will give us the freedom and generosity to properly help others and to fully enjoy and savour the world we live in.” We also suggest FAQ 1.4 ‘How can our lives be immediately transformed’.
Geraldl
ENFIN, Mais permettez-moi d’être septique! [FINALLY, but allow me to be sceptical! (Tr. from French)]
WTM Admin
Thank you for your thoughts Geraldl. It sounds like you are actually reaising the significance of this breakthrough! But yes, proceed slowly, because the idea that the human condition has finally been solved is the biggest claim that could ever be made! However, as WTM FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, Professor Harry Prosen, a former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, has endorsed the significance of Jeremy Griffith’s treatise, saying “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.” So while initial scepticism is warranted about the astonishing claims being made about this work the amazing fact is that they all withstand scrutiny. A person can begin reading the book and the more they read into it the more they will realise the claims being made are actually true as is evidenced by the ecstatic responses at the top of our homepage and the outstanding commendations this work has received from eminent scientists and thought leaders, on our Commendations and Reviews page.

WOW!! I been talking with chatgpt about how to make humans behaviors change, what kind of technologie we are going to need, what is the solutions? SPECIALLY that we are in an Era of advance technologies!! AI is going to make technologies go faster so HUMANS won’t be able to follow and they are going to lose themselves!!! Your studies and knowledge of biology of humans – It just came in time with AI and the exponential advance in tech!!
WTM Admin
Yes, technology in itself was never going to solve the human condition. In fact, it could end up facilitating our need for distraction – help us “lose themselves” – resulting in a dangerous loop of ever more shallow thinking generations, that made confronting and ultimately solving the human condition ever more difficult. To solve the human condition we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.

It’s a shame this wasn’t understood in the times of Jesus or before , like Adam and Eve....
WTM Admin
You’re right — it is a shame this understanding wasn’t available earlier. If humanity had access to a fully accountable, biological explanation for our divisive behaviour back in ancient times, a lot of suffering might have been avoided.
Yes, while Christianity and religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Religious stories like Adam and Eve were early attempts to describe that loss of innocence, but they couldn’t identify the actual biological mechanism behind it.

Only evil is man’s inhumanity towards mankind. War is murder
WTM Admin
We appreciate your input Julia. We suggest that the more you digest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, the more you will realise how accountable it is in getting to the source of all humanity’s psychological upset, that so often manifests as “inhumanity” and even “war”. As THE Interview explains we have completely loving and selfless instincts, and that our anger and aggression isn’t the product of selfish instincts, or just a cultural happenstance, but a psychosis resulting from a clash between our emerging conscious mind and those pre-established instincts. All anger and aggresssion, whether it is on an individual scale, or manifests as groups, or even nations, going to war, is a symptom of the underlying, deep insecurity in humans caused by the human condition. And it is this insecurity that, we suggest, is removed, by the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation. To quote FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding solve everything’: “So, in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race.”

God made Man in his own image
WTM Admin
Thanks for your comment May. The human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap and just as Nobel Prize-winning physicist Charles H. Townes said “they [science and religion] both represent man’s efforts to understand his universe and must ultimately be dealing with the same substance. As we understand more in each realm, the two must grow together…converge they must”. So Jeremy Griffith’s reconciling understanding of the human condition at last makes it possible to explain and demystify all mythology, including all the parables and stories in the Bible. For instance, as Jeremy explains and evidences in Part 3 of THE Interview, we humans actually have a loving and peaceful evolutionary heritage, not a brutal, competitive one, as is usually depicted. In fact, we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in chapter 4 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM as being the integrative meaning of life. (See also FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.) So we can now understand the phrase “God made Man in his own image” was a perfect metaphor for this alignment, but with the benefit of science, we can now bring clarifying, first-principle biological explanation to it. We recommend all our FAQs on religion.

Thank you for your appreciative comment Tom and it is wonderful to read how much Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition has helped you. As Jeremy explains in THE Interview the greatest psychological relief of all for our mind is finally being able to understand that we are good and not bad. To quote Jeremy from Part 4: “Well, what this real—and actually very obvious—instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously angry, egocentric and alienated from our different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. And this ability to understand and know there was a good reason why the human race became psychologically upset, is the key, relieving understanding we have been in search of ever since we became conscious some 2 million years ago and our corrupted condition emerged. That is the key relief for our mind—being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all. The psychoanalyst Carl Jung said, ‘wholeness for humans depends on the ability to own our own shadow’, and since we can now ‘own’ the ‘shadow’ of our species’ 2-million-year-corrupted condition, the human race is finally in a position to become ‘whole’.” So yes to be able to know that our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story represents the greatest, most heroic story ever told brings immense relief and freedom which is a “real treat”! We can now look after ourselves with great compassion and kindness and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us as our FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure’ explains.

He doesn’t explain very well I’m still lost
WTM Admin
Thank you for your feedback Rachel. While great care has been taken to present the information as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), explanation of the human condition can be initially difficult to access. This is because it has been the most terrifying of subjects to face as it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species, and we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it. We suggest looking at The Great Guilt where Jeremy Griffith explains this initial ‘deaf effect’ and how to overcome it. Also FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.

Religion and politics will do us in if we as humans continue on assaulting the earth in the name of belief and economics. It is time we reposition ourselves as natural beings and not superior spiritual beings. We are but a tiny little strand in this intrinsic Web of Life.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment. What Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition shows is that the deeper driver behind our environmental damage isn’t religion or politics themselves, but the psychologically upset state humans have been living in while we couldn’t explain ourselves. All our institutions — including governments, religions, and economic systems — have been manifestations of our insecure, competitive, human-condition-afflicted psychology, not the cause of it. In other words, we haven’t been assaulting the Earth because we thought we were “superior beings”, but because the unresolved instinct-vs-intellect conflict left us angry, egocentric and alienated, needing to prove ourselves through power and material wealth.
What’s so hopeful in Jeremy’s work is that once you understand this underlying psychological conflict, all the destructive behaviour — including environmental destruction — becomes obsoleted. We no longer need to live competitively or defensively, and can finally live in line with the cooperative, integrative nature of life that you’re pointing to.
So yes — reconnecting with the natural world matters enormously. But what THE Interview explains is the reason we became disconnected in the first place, and how that divide can finally be healed.

Rashean
While listening i felt i keep going in and out in my mind, we all have this clarity of our natural instincts like Adam had, but the understanding of the world operates forces me to go against my natural being. I actually felt that while listening. I believe this man. He’s telling the truth. There two state of the mind, one is natural and there one that’s confusing.
WTM Admin
Great comment Rashean, but the key here is that we can now know that the “confusing”, un“natural” mind has been completely necessary and even heroic. This defends our ‘dark side’, and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour and return to a state that is aligned with our “natural being”!

I know I sound a little crazy. However, that really doesn’t matter to me right now. This interview last night feels like. An eternity of doors have just been opened and I want to walk through every one of them at once. Many things are so clear to now I dare say. Bring it, sentences are complete, paragraphs are complete. I just want more. I really don’t quite know how to put my finger on how I feel right now? Whether it be happy, full, anxious, excited. However, I do know I’m not afraid. Thank you so much for clarifying for me personally, I hope everyone can get as much out of it as I am at this very moment and will to the day I die or no even further than that. Thank you.
Mary B
I’ll have to re-visit this interview so as to fully grasp the content. However, I’m in the throes of Creation vs Evolution at the moment. Blessings ❤️ 🙌
WTM Admin
Thanks for your comment Mary. Ultimately what is presented here is a rational, scientific explanation of the human condition, but we suggest that what you will find is that it does reconcile science and religion, so we hope you persevere. For example, in THE Interview Jeremy Griffith refers to the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence, which he explains in depth in his definitive book FREEDOM, chapter 4 (see also FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is God?’). In chapter 4:3 of FREEDOM, Jeremy also explains how the idea of Intelligent Design grew out of a need to counter mechanistic science’s denial of this integrative process, however, ultimately, through its reliance on divine intervention, Intelligent Design is unscientific. With the explanation of the human condition, however, it is now possible for science to recognise that integration drives the development of matter, including the advent of ‘life’ (again see FAQ 5.3). Jeremy explains in his books that indeed the word ‘development’ will come to replace the word ‘evolution’ in biology because evolution can be, and has been, misrepresented as meaning change is undirected, meaningless and random. Again, this understanding reconciles science and religion.

Thank you for your support Sylvie. At last we can finally confront and biologically explain why we haven’t been able to “wake up to reality and want to make it healthy again”, and with that explanation, we can at last make the change that is needed. See FAQ 6.5 which stresses the huge difference between Jeremy Griffith’s work and the new age movement.

How do explain the beginning and Darwin realized he was wrong.
With regard to a belief in God, he wrote, “I for one must be content to remain an Agnostic [a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known about the nature of God].”What is of much more importance is that since Darwin’s death, accumulating evidence has only cemented the truth of natural selection. / Does the scientific explanation of ‘God’ really contain all the attributes of religion’s metaphysical ‘God’?’Definitely something to think about

The science justified what the bible has prophesied. Finally we know who we truely are! Thats freedom yay. When we know this truth it sets us free!
I knew all along when there’s two like the left wing and right wing 45 years ago when I was 15 I noticed my dad didn’t vote no more I asked him why he said the let was becoming corrupt they use to be for the people they became for there' self ang today its the right for the people the left is obsessed with power if there was one they could become whole
Totally inspiring!
I definitely want to read more of your writings. Anything I can get my hands on suits me just fine. Keep up the terrific work. Jeannine

Help please help me understand!?
Hi Candis, the breakthrough explanation of the human condition presents a massive paradigm shift in our thinking so it’s natural to need to take time to digest and understand all it reveals. As Jeremy Griffith describes, the human condition has historically been such a fearful, off-limits topic and the mind simply needs time to ride out the initial shock of having it broached and all manner of mystery unlocked. We encourage re-watching THE Interview and looking at the Introductory Videos on the WTM’s homepage because the more you do absorb this explanation, the more you realise just how all-clarifying, all-redeeming, all-reconciling, all-healing, all-liberating it is.Our FAQ 1.3 may also be helpful as it presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.Seems to be a Freudian Id versus Super ego. Societal shaped consciousness
I have been grappling for years with the questions: who am I and what God’s purpose was when he created me? Now I fully understand. Jeremy is truly a Godsend
Love this
The human condition is a consequence of recognizing death, and denying its consequence in life.
Such interpretations include saying that the human condition is the despair that comes with being conscious because it makes us realise we will die someday; or that the human condition is simply the terror we conscious humans experience from having the free will to choose what to do without knowing the outcome.”He then explains that the real human condition is the terrible insecurity of not being able to answer the question: “What is the origin of the dark, volcanic forces that undeniably exist within us humans? What is it deep within us humans that has troubled us so terribly? What is it that makes us such combative, ruthless, hateful, retaliatory, violent, in truth psychologically disturbed beings?”Thank you, and encouraged to find out this information of we humans, and all the situations that have been hidden from us all many years ago, a great study.
Excellent and very beautifully explained. Has gone into depth or root of all the cause. I will like to share my experiences and discuss how the Oriental way of thinking and belief systems run parallel with what Dr. Griffith has explained.
Definitely something to think on and review further.
I think there is a lot of knowledge to learn from the specialist in biology to understand why we are suffering so much in this lifetime.
Fascinating and challenging! As a layman, I agree with some of Jeremy’s statements, and to others ......hmmm! Thank you.
At the top it says “WHAT NEXT after watching THE Interview?”, which guides you through the best next steps: the Introductory Videos, key Freedom Essays, and ways to engage with the material at your own pace.Thank you for your thoughtful engagement — it’s exactly the right way to approach something this ground-breaking.Excellent
Important
Thank you, very inspirational
Just another ad?
Scepticism is absolutely warranted — the absolutely astonishing claims being made about this explanation should attract a cautious eye. But this isn’t “just another ad”. As FAQ 1.9 explains, even eminent thinkers like Professor Harry Prosen (former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association) have said they have “no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought”.What people discover is that the claims actually withstand scrutiny. The more you read or watch, the more you see this is first-principle-based biological explanation — not a belief system, not a sales pitch, and not something with a hidden agenda. It’s all free, and it’s simply there to be tested: if it stacks up, great; if it doesn’t, you’re free to reject it.Mind opening
Wowwww!! Very insightful, inspiring, just truly amazing information. Truly grateful for this! Thank you for reminding me of where I came from ....
Fascinating!
Great!
Wealth of information signifying man’s purpose and destiny
Interesting and fruitful matter, needs to be explored
This has most certainly been the best interview to listen to and understand. Being different has been a problem throughout my 61 years. Understanding why is the key. Working with nerves directly through Body Stress Release, this brings huge rewards. Only commencing with guidance on grief - online - and why my experience was completely different to any other makes so much more sense now. Thank you for using applicable examples that I could relate to - it made the understanding so much more real. Thanking you so much
Wow
Never happen, seriously gonna look at it again now.
I really thought that this was going to be a decent documentary. Unfortunately, I got disappointed as soon as you just started quoting the bible and divine nonsense.
Jeremy’s work represents a reconciliation of science and religion, see FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is a biological explanation why are there religious references?’This is eye-opening for the human race
Am blessed to hear this
Nailed it
Thank you. Looking forward to hearing how we will combat racism and other prejudice.
Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition establishes the equality of all humans and brings compassionate and thus safe understanding to ALL of human behaviour — including why the horror of racism has existed under the duress of the human condition and, most importantly, finally brings it to an end, see FAQ 9.1 ‘How do you explain racism?’. Also, for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molosiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8.
Zo logisch en simpel uitgelegd, dankjewel! Geeft de mens hoop. [So logically and simply explained, thank you! It gives people hope (tr. from Dutch)]
Beautiful to a soul
This Interview is really meaningful. They way how Jeremy approaches his theory is very interesting.
Thank you for this presentation 🙏
A clash occured between our cooperative instincts and our emerging consciousness, the result of which is that we became psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated sufferers of the human condition.Once you understand that, all the symptoms — racism, territorialism, greed, hopelessness, environmental destruction — fall into place. They’re expressions of that unresolved insecurity, not evidence of some animalistic instinct driving us.And that’s why solving the human condition is so important. When you finally understand the real cause of our upset behaviour, the insecurity lifts, and the behaviour changes. See our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’.This presentation is quite interesting and elaborate. The wisdom and knowledge bestowed in him to undertake the study will help us to shape our mind set on human behaviour. Thank you.
Exciting
Extremely interesting !!
Astounding revelation which brings us back to the core of the beautiful all-loving creation that we are !
Here’s the human condition, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it.
I enjoyed the interview, it’s a good idea. Thanks!
I agree because this is true
Yes but how do we survive in this world?
ENFIN, Mais permettez-moi d’être septique! [FINALLY, but allow me to be sceptical! (Tr. from French)]
It is so true
I want to know more

It’s a great, inspiring and educational book. I recommend this book for everyone , especially for young minds. Maybe a have to for literature and discussions.
I don’t even have the words in my vocabulary 2 even try and explain the significance of these articles and interviews you’ll just have to watch or read yourself outstanding in more ways than you’ll ever know
Enlightening.
Very interesting
It’s a shame this wasn’t understood in the times of Jesus or before , like Adam and Eve....
You’re right — it is a shame this understanding wasn’t available earlier. If humanity had access to a fully accountable, biological explanation for our divisive behaviour back in ancient times, a lot of suffering might have been avoided.Yes, while Christianity and religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Religious stories like Adam and Eve were early attempts to describe that loss of innocence, but they couldn’t identify the actual biological mechanism behind it. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.Bouleversant. Magnifique [Deeply moving. Magnificent (tr. from French)]
The book “Freedom” is available on Amazon in a Kindle format absolutely FREE. How generous!! Thank you, Jeremy, for the book and also for your keen and uplifting insights on the human dilemma.
This lecture is wonderfully educative. I would like to listen to this daily
Only evil is man’s inhumanity towards mankind. War is murder
Read it. It makes sense.
Mind blowing indeed
It’s a great pleasure to listen & understand the human condition through this interview. Thanks
Wowwwwww!!! Beyond words. Jeremy is beyond words.
God made Man in his own image
An awesome exciting lecture of our race existence.
Absolutely exciting and true
I am very happy to come across this video this morning Wednesday 03/12/2025 in Winnipeg. SCIENCE IS NOT STATIC BUT DYNAMIC. My knowledge about Who is Man is renewed and refreshed now. l will appreciate if a copy of the transcript can be obtained for indepth knowledge and to share it with my people in NIGERIA AND GLOBALLY. Well done and thank you.
Hi Folashade, thank you for your interest. THE Interview is freely available to read or be downloaded as a transcript on our World Transformation Movement homepage or you can purchase copies from bookshops, including Amazon.
I started this video but I have to go to work. I will definitely watch as soon as I get home tonight.
I’m grateful for this thank you
Excellent interview. Very informative and enlightening. Thanks
Jeremy uses a system of layering information in FREEDOM which helps the reader to understand the beautiful truth, streuth it’s actually cured my depression! As you grasp the truth, you rediscover yourself, a real treat awaits your perseverance, friend!
This inspirational video and book is perfect timing for the place I find myself today both emotionally and spiritually. Thank you
Thank you so much for letting me know about this special human being. 🙏
He doesn’t explain very well I’m still lost
Great leader for the 21 c
I’m very happy to hear this interview - it makes me understand what the human condition is thanks 🙏
Awesome 👌 Video
A truly enlightening interview with Jeremy Griffith. This must be the most important issue regarding the humans species on this planet for the last two million years. Because there’s so much depth to this subject, I’m sure it will be my go to viewing for the foreseeable future. Amazing.
Religion and politics will do us in if we as humans continue on assaulting the earth in the name of belief and economics. It is time we reposition ourselves as natural beings and not superior spiritual beings. We are but a tiny little strand in this intrinsic Web of Life.
We no longer need to live competitively or defensively, and can finally live in line with the cooperative, integrative nature of life that you’re pointing to.So yes — reconnecting with the natural world matters enormously. But what THE Interview explains is the reason we became disconnected in the first place, and how that divide can finally be healed.Thought Provoking and Instructive.
I hope it is not too late to adopt this knowledge.
Still to get a copy to read and share the insights. It looks like it’s very interesting and full of insights.
Thank you for your interest, Marandure. You can immediately access free electronic copies of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM (along with his other key books, including THE Interview) to read, listen to or download on our World Transformation Movement homepage. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. (Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.)
Thanks for sharing this eye-opening and wonderful information about ourselves in depth first ever.
Thank you.
I’ll have to re-visit this interview so as to fully grasp the content. However, I’m in the throes of Creation vs Evolution at the moment. Blessings ❤️ 🙌
Thank you for your teaching.
So far I have listened to the first part, it’s amazing....the need to dive deep in the human psyche can only bring peace and alignment, Thankyouuu Jeremy Griffith 🙏 🙏 🙏
Very powerful, unveiling, God bless
Breathtaking
Very inspiring
I’m so glad to see more and more people wake up to reality and want to make it healthy again. Change is needed and it will only happen with us, the people. Thank you.
