Must watch interview. It is broken down into four segments but it’s only about an hour. Invest in the hour.

Denbeigh Janet

Brilliant! Profound!

Todd Michael Stevens

Theres nothing new here. We came from apes and religion has been a blight on humanity. Science changes through understanding. Morality is within and not taught.

WTM Admin

Hi Todd, we recommend reading FAQ 1.13 “Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?”, as it explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work. For example in THE Interview Jeremy at last explains how we acquired our moral conscience (‘morality is within and not taught’) when genetic selection is inherently a selfish process, summarised in FAQ 5.2. And most importantly, finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, Jeremy has answered the great question of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, we are so angry, competitive and selfish. This is of incredible significance because having found the good reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. This is the essence of the transformation that this breakthrough makes available. (You might also be interested in our FAQs about religion which explain that rather than being a ‘blight’, religion has been a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-scientific view.)

Enlightening

Margrete Von Schomberg

Wow, this interview has bowled me over. If we could indeed end up with a co-operative and loving world, it would be the utopia everyone has been searching for. Thank you Jeremy Griffith for this amazing enlightenment which can help save us and our planet. The entire world should hear your words, especially now....

TY, TY, TY. THIS is the BEST NEWS I VE HAD IN AGES. I SUPPORT THIS WITH ALL MY HEART ,ALL MY MIND, AND WITH MY LIMITLESS SOUL.

Agostinho Almeida

I have not read the book so I can’t tell anything about it. As for the interview I can only say that is too confusing in terms of its theoretical and epistemological background. Why in the world to present/promote this as the new bible of human race. You must be joking!

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ biological treatise is not presented or promoted as the new Bible — in fact Jeremy’s work demystifies religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts – see our FAQs about religion. Specifically, what his work does is scientifically answer the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish, so much so that we are destroying ourselves and our world, see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why understanding the human condition solves everything’. The fundamental explanation is very simple but it does open up the historically off-limits subject of the human condition so it is common people initially struggle to ‘hear’ what is being explained so, if you would like to persevere we suggest re-watching THE Interview before reading FREEDOM, see FAQ 1.16.

Mogamat Zain Arendse

Best put, Real eye opener

I still have to listen to it, and I’m super excited about that.

Very interesting.

Thank you for such important information that can help us to save our planet! As a pacifist I can gain more patience as I increase my understanding of others, the patience that I need to wait for peace. This for me is most effective, rather than telling someone they are wrong which doesn’t work. As a painter, your work comes to me as a gift. My feelings show as my brush strokes the canvas, and a new aspect of self previously hidden comes to light. This way my self understanding expands allowing me greater freedom and conscious awareness more easily shared. Thank you ever so much!

Refreshing thoughts and much needed.

Hope it’s a good thing, maybe the best of things,, and no good thing ever die,,,.l will Be hoping this words find you 🙂 and find you well. Faryaad

Wolfgang Breitenseher

There are aspects that are rooted in biological reasons and aspects which aren’t. “Biological” doesn’t exclusively mean competitive, aggressive behaviour. Friendship is biological as well. Friendship diminishes stress which in turn conserves energy. Tender interaction with others is also biologically rooted. How come that there is this view, that biology can only be aggressive and competitive? To me this is just one small area.

WTM Admin

As is mentioned in Part 3 of THE Interview recent theories such as ‘group selection’ and ‘self-domestication’ have attempted to argue that altruism or cooperation arose in our past through selection against aggression, but it is flawed biology because the reality is that any selfless behaviour will always be relentlessly selected against (see Chapters 6.8 to 6.10 of FREEDOM). No, the only way that genuine cooperation or selflessness could develop was through the nurturing based love-indoctrination process, which is introduced in Part 3 of this interview and which you can read more about in FREEDOM Chapter 5.

Barbara Burnsed

This was an Amazing interview the insight that is desperately needed in our Now time. Thank You so much for sharing your insights with Us. Barbara Burnsed

Janie Wilson

Thank you , A God send after i’d had my prayer, Eyes & ears opener 👌 🙌 🙏

Thank you for the interview.

Cheryl Hofhine

Thank you!

Carol Morrison

How arrogant to think you are the saviour of mankind - Jesus Christ has saved us from this dilemma that you describe- redemption is available to all, but many resist although it’s easy to achieve and be restored to a proper relationship with God who is our creator. Read Frances Collins book on DNA

WTM Admin

As is explained in Part 2 of THE Interview it is science that is the liberator or saviour of mankind. Craig Conway summarises that, “science’s discovery of the way genes and nerves work has finally made it possible for the liberation of humanity from the horror of the human condition”, to which Jeremy Griffith replies, “Yes, that is the essential truth: science is the liberator, the so-called ‘messiah’ or ‘redeemer’ of humankind, as we always hoped it would be!”     We certainly respect people’s religious views and feel it is important to mention that Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view, see our FAQs about religion, especially FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.

Lee stuart

He’s wrong, the reason why peaceful sane people, do terrible things, is simple, human beings are very manipulative, and are relatively easy to persuade them to do things they wouldn’t normally do, its the small number of bad people who always gravitate towards power, most evil is done by governments, most people are good, but the small number of evil people always end up in possessions of power, whether that be in government or something else like a gang or the mafia, its as simple as that, humans are too easily influenced.

WTM Admin

In THE Interview it is explained that our selfish, opportunist, seemingly ‘evil’ behaviour is the result of a psychosis, resulting from a clash between our emerging conscious mind and those pre-established instincts. Certainly, as Jeremy says in THE Interview, “we have learnt to significantly restrain and conceal—‘civilise’ as we refer to it—the phenomenal amount of upset within us”, but all humans are now variously angry, egocentric and alienated as a result of the human condition. It follows that within any society there will be those who are more adapted to that psychosis and therefore have the ability to quickly see any opportunity for selfish self-advancement, which is the real explanation for some people’s overt opportunism and manipulative behaviour. To end the human condition for all humans we needed to answer the essential question of why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? It is this question of questions that Jeremy Griffith has solved with his instincts vs intellect explanation.

Derick Lakey

This is a very important breakthrough for mankind and the fact that so many people are intrigued by the factual references is and can relate is great. The whole world should be able to access this information, from the richest to the poorest.

Josê Manuel Chimupi

It is very important to know Who we are, and what life means in general. I really like it.

Don Costello

The part I like is knowing we are already saved

WTM Admin

Yes, understanding that there was a good reason why the conscious mind had to defy our instincts means that the great burden of guilt has been lifted from the human race. As Part 4 of THE Interview explains, it will take generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but importantly we can be immediately free of its affects. Our FAQ 1.6 summarises how understanding the human condition is the universal solution to human suffering, and the Transformation section of our website illustrates the extraordinary transformation of the human race it makes possible in just three short video presentations. Basically, so exciting and relieving is this breakthrough, and the freedom from the human condition that is now on offer, that everyone will want it, and so it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening! On our homepage you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

Interesting, poignant, rational theory, the way people are at the moment saddens me. I put it down to overloading the nerves through Brexit, Covid, and now this war. After this, there are no excuses. I pray this is a solution the majority can understand.

Francis esquega

As I grew up I kind of had many eye openers on life, I suspect that evolution as we know it, ever changing cycles, our future is not safe as the doomsday clock has moved closer to 12 than ever humans seem to be quietly just trying to manage their lives by accepting the way it goes, get educated in fields of their choice, be productive to community, protect the planet, be conscientious of your neighbour and generally be supportive of Gov policy. Thank you for your insight of our plight, I remain.

Very good at last somebody has courage

Hannah

I believe that history reveals that man is a cruel evil animal. The world needs rehabilitation NOW.

WTM Admin

At last we can understand where humans’ psychotic, what historically has been termed ‘evil’, behaviour comes from. As THE Interview explains, humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous attrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’. As the late Professor Harry Prosen, psychiatrist and former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said: ‘I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.’

Love is the most powerful force in the universe and God is pure love ❤ 😍 💖 ❣

WTM Admin

At the end of Part 3 of THE Interview Jeremy briefly explains that ‘God’ is the personification of the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence. This explanation — which is summarised in FAQ 6.2 (What is ‘God’?) and fully presented in chapter 4 of FREEDOM — forms a key part of Jeremy’s thesis, because it shows that love is the theme of existence; it is the meaning of life.

Salvatore Baldassano

Fight, Flight or Make Friends!

WTM Admin

As Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview, altruistic, unconditionally selfless genetic traits are self-eliminating, and therefore cannot normally develop in animals—which means animals are not able to ‘make friends’ beyond situations of reciprocity or kin selection (see chapter 6:9 of FREEDOM for an expose of false left wing biology that claims that cooperation can be selected for). However, as Jeremy explains in Part 3 of THE Interview, the selfish process of natural selection was able to create loving selflessness in our forebears through nurturing (Freedom Essay 21 on our World Transformation Movement’s website, and chapter 5 of FREEDOM explain this ‘love-indoctrination’ process, as Jeremy has termed it, more fully).     While we do still possess very primitive reflexes, such as for ‘fight or flight’, beneath our altruistic, unconditionally selfless instincts, these primitive reflexes do not control our behaviour beyond very narrow scenarios or threats. The truth is that our combative and insecure behaviour is not instinctive in any way; it is the result of a psychosis. Basically, as is explained in THE Interview, the argument that our behaviour is dictated by survival or selfish instincts was just a convenient excuse while we searched for the psychosis-addressing-and-solving real explanation of our divisive behaviour (see FAQ 1.29 ‘Is the human condition biological or psychological’).

Chis Goodwin

All the traits he says we have lost exist in our own family, social, religious circles. What he doesn’t address is the US and THEM instinct that all animals and humans have. To be wary of groups outside our social circle is a potentially a life saving necessity.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition explains that we became psychologically upset sufferers of the angry, egocentric and alienated human condition as the unavoidable result of a clash between our pre-established instincts and emerging conscious mind. Jeremy explains in THE Interview that without this defence for our upset state we have sought to falsely blame our behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us. The ‘multi-level selection’ theory, which claims we have loving instincts for interactions within the group, “us”, and “wary”, aggressive instincts for interactions outside the group, “them”, is a variant of this ‘savage instincts’ excuse, and is debunked in chapter 2.11 of FREEDOM. We suggest that with this true defence for our behaviour established, it is now possible to consider that there is clear evidence that humans developed from a an unconditionally selfless, all-loving and fully cooperative ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model (read more about bonobos in Freedom Essay 21); you can read about the fossil evidence for this cooperative past in Freedom Essay 22.

Such a relief to hear others speaking of this in a format that others may listen. Keep up the good works!

Janis Yvonne Radcliffe

Wow! This is fascinating stuff and I look forward to reading Jeremy’s book.

Mojmir

Thank you for your life’s work and dedication. Read the book. It gave me great depression and understanding. I discover/acknowledge one personal lie (own delusion) a day. Its quite amusing. Usually its those things I thought I was great at. Trying to keep it easy coming.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comments, Mojmir. Finally having the human condition explained does bring the truth about our corrupted condition into the light, but importantly, it is not a time of critical judgment, but compassionate understanding (you might be interested in reading Freedom Essay 40 about what we have known as ‘Judgment Day’). Indeed, the explanation of the human condition is redeeming, reconciling and rehabilitating! Along with re-watching THE Interview, we recommend you read Freedom Essay 15, which explains the Transformed State, which is the fabulous way we deal with the personal transparency and confronting nature of the human condition. As Jeremy writes in that Essay, “You and every other human can, as it were, put the issue of all your upsets/corruptions in a ‘suitcase’, attach a label to it saying ‘Everything in here is now explained and defended’, and simply leave that suitcase behind at the entrance to what we in the World Transformation Movement (WTM) call the Sunshine Highway, and set out unencumbered by all those upset behaviours into a new world that is effectively free of the human condition.” So the human condition is no longer an unbearably depressing subject as we can now bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and significantly we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us, which is important for everyone to be mindful of (as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over exposure’ summarises).

Janet Cross

Perfect explanation Unbelief, underpinned by poor memory and the perpetuation of chaos wearing us down has lead us to this point in time. This point being, sufficient peoples intellect being supported to develop to a conscious understanding of our individual and positive collective mindsets being able to stop the drive to repeat the chaos like Groundhog Day. So important we not only demand the madness stop but that we learn to trust the process that will stop it. We must gently challenge those in denial of our potential to live peacefully. Believing that we can overcome this is a huge part of the solution; patient application of belief in our goodness, kindness and gentleness, the nurturing you spoke of. You have so got this right. We will breakthrough. This is our destiny 🔥

Cheryl Garry

Pls... keep up the good work.

Matthew Patrick Byrne

I’ve read quite a lot of non-fiction books and articles over the years but not one quite like FREEDOM. This is simply terrific work from Jeremy Griffith from decades of his work in this area. This final explanation (and it is final - nothing can compete with this in the future!) frankly makes sense of much of humanity’s unrelenting suffering and frustration that has been around for too long now, and i truly hope this generation and generations to come, will follow this, frankly, most important piece of work since Darwin’s Origins of Species. Well done Jeremy!

Lieve Hulst

But the true reflection to ( also ) the ugly point of your own true biological being and understanding of a ( natures cycle of understanding ) is still a problem . Somehow

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comments Lieve and you can trust your initial clarity that this does actually explain and reconcile our personal human condition with nature’s cycle. Finally having the human condition explained means there is just so much to process so we recommend you re-watch THE Interview and read FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’, and FAQ 4.1 which explains that the fabulous way we deal with the confronting nature of the human condition is through the Transformed State.

Lieve Hulst

This is in feeling a very exciting development 💖 because the day we get true honest reflections and understanding ✨ But will acquire true understanding of nature and it’s course and source ( and that’s much bigger than human condition ) this is why I love 💕 that a biologist or scientist sees it 🙏✨ this is truly beautiful 🪄

Dawn Glen

Thank you for sharing this fantastic interview with Jeremy Griffith. All mankind should hear this very insightful, informative explanation of the holy grail of human behaviour.

Dawn Maestas

Thank you for bringing this information forward!

Mark

Very interesting. Thanks so much!

Cory A Starchuk

I do see the dualistic nature of the human/animal, however, I certainly do not understand it. I see the split personality within 99% of people I meet, being empathic, I carry my own “issues” through life, but, I also carry the burden of countless others. The damage, ruined health, attempts to escape through drug addiction, alcoholism, violence, sexual perversions. Yes, I see, I have been involved with Church groups, have a background in Psychology, Sociology, Theology and Anthropology, still I stuggle to understand, and/or accept the dicotomy I witness. I have witnessed absolute evil twice in my 65 years on this Planet, I thank you for producing this video, plus offering your book, I have a huge library, your work will be a wonderful addition to both my personal life, as well as a valuable tool in my dream to see the planet and it’s inhabitants healed once and for all. I will see you “in the beauty to come.”

WTM Admin

The human condition has caused such unthinkable pain and suffering and explanation of it presents a huge change in how we view humans so we suggest, with more consideration, you will discover Jeremy Griffith’s work does actually explain and solve our ‘dualistic nature’or ‘good and evil’ stricken state so we can now understand it. We recommend people re-watch THE Interview and explore our homepage and our FAQs which are extremely helpful resources. For instance see FAQ 4.2 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’, FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ and FAQ 4.4 ‘What will the new world be like?’

Nonie Leibman

It’s still not clear to me how we got to where we are. I’ll watch the interview again. Amazing though.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Nonie. Finally being able to explain the human condition, understand the source of the 2 million years of psychological upset in the human race, does present a massive paradigm shift in our thinking which takes time to absorb. We suggest you read the very brief summary in FAQ 1.3 and then re-watch THE Interview. Also watching the video series that follows THE Interview is great as that series elaborates on what’s been presented—so there’ll be some repetition, but going over the concepts in more detail does help with the understanding and absorption of them. Also, the first video warns us of our historic fear of the subject of the human condition and the resulting ‘deaf effect’ that often initially causes (see FAQ 1.16). So it can take a little patience ‘to get your head around it’ but it’s well worth it Nonie as you can see from the daily ecstatic responses on our homepage—people everywhere are so relieved to finally be able to make sense of human life!!

Barbara Collier

My thanks for this opportunity to learn more.

Janet Bloem

Please also give us the simple layman’s explanation to solving this human condition. Some of these explanations are too complicated to bring about understanding and awakening. Thank you for this free sharing. Much appreciated

WTM Admin

Hi Janet, we hope you will find our reply to Nonie above helpful and thank you for your feedback.

Dolly West

Listening to this, with interest, I find it addressed to and about the male of the race only. Further, there is the human condition, and there is our spiritual being, always with us, which we compose in living out our lives. I feel that your “discovery” is limited in not dealing with all our dimensions, or even with our genders. The discovery each one of us makes is within us, and with grace we find it. Learning it from you, or from anyone else, is second-hand by necessity.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your feedback Dolly. This new science produces a huge paradigm shift in our thinking which takes time to fully digest but the core premise of Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise is that ALL HUMANS ARE EQUALLY GOOD and equally heroic! We no longer have to just believe men and women are equal we can understand they are! To quote molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald from her commendation of Jeremy’s work: “because Griffith’s work establishes the equal worth or goodness of all humans we can now understand the different roles that men and women have traditionally played in the human journey and this is actually the unlocking point, this is what brings about deep empathy for each other, it heals the divide”, see Freedom Essay 9. And, as Jeremy says in concluding chapter 8:11B of his book FREEDOM, “With understanding of the human condition now found, men and women can at last stand side by side—the ‘war of the sexes’ can finally be resolved. Yes, the human journey can have the happy ending we always hoped it would.”     Also THE Interview does explain all humans are born with an all-loving and compassionate soul or instinctive self from which our ‘spirituality’ is sourced, but that we departed from that state because of the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. The fundamental explanation presented is very simple but it’s implications are far reaching and in fact limitless. We recommend re-watching the presentation, especially Part 3 ‘How did we humans acquire our instinctive cooperative and loving moral conscience?’. Also WTM FAQ 1.26 ‘What is soul’ discusses the depth of sensitivity this pure and truly moral part of ourselves can access.
