Awesome work.

Sue Sykes

Thank you Jeremy for these powerful words, very insightful and so worth listening to. I’ve always believed I’m a good person and we all human and no one person is perfect. It’s sad that some people don’t love themselves enough to see that, and believe what others tell them. What a wonderful world it would be if people could just understand the human behavior.

WTM Admin

Thanks very much for your wonderful feedback Sue. It takes a little time to fully absorb explanation of the human condition but what is so relieving and transforming is we no longer just have to believe we are fundamentally good — we can now biologically understand we are! We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now truly love and look after ourselves and others with great compassion and kindness. This explanation is so profound it does bring about the wonderful world we have all dreamed of could be—see the Transformation section of our website!

Interviewers who ask compound questions make terrible interviewers. Ask one question at a time. Get an answer. Then ask the next question to keep things clear and understandable.

Very interesting. I will read more. Thanks Jeremy

Very clearly explained. Some Buddhists say " All you have to do is cease from erudition, withdraw within and reflect upon yourself. Should you be able to cast off body and mind naturally, the Buddha mind will immediately manifest itself. James Naylor said that man is born lovable, sociable and nonviolent. We need to find the way home. Peace and love.

WTM Admin

While Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. To find our way home we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we left home—why when our instincts are to be “lovable, sociable and non-violent” are we so selfish, competitive and destructive. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? which explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work.

Dean Slade

Great view of Life. Great understanding of inner and outer conflicts and resolutions

A scientific explanation of what we have heard and read from spiritually enlightened and wise teachers. This scientific narrative and explanation of what we are and what in reality is our nature is quite insightful. Thank you

Really informative interview

Lynne

The only true answer to the human condition is Jesus who took our sin and paid for it on the cross and gave us the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. He is the only Saviour and the Bible is the most important book in the world and has been since the time of Moses.

Thank you

Well said. I did watch a Jewish Rabbi explain that Adam and Eve were experiencing growth, not a Sin as we understand sin.

I am in need of a new perspective on life and the human condition.

Will comment, after interview.. Awesome!

Here we go. Journey well.

Barry Watkins

As a biologist, thought provoking explanations. Good to hear Eugene Marais and Laurens van der Post mentioned. The Khoikhoi of yesteryear would have been in total agreement. Bonobos incidentally occasionally kill members of their own troop. But biological ‘rules’ always have exceptions.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment, Barry. Yes, the bonobos have not completed the nurturing based love-indoctrination process and so there are still remnants of selfish reciprocity, sexual opportunism and aggression in their behaviour, however, as indicated in THE Interview they are extraordinarily nurturing, and extraordinarily gentle and cooperative, indicating that the process is well advanced. In chapter 5 of his book FREEDOM, Jeremy Griffith evidences just how cooperative and loving bonobos are, as well as demonstrating that bonobos afford an extraordinary insight into our distant ancestors, in particular, Ardipithecus (see also see FAQ 5.2 ‘What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’).     You may also be interested in Jeremy’s essay on the significance of Laurens van der Post’s influence on his ability to solve the human condition in Freedom Essay 51; and there is further exposition of the importance of Marais’s contribution to our understanding of the human condition in Freedom Expanded: Book 1.

Riveting! Mind-shattering!

Joy A Porcella

We must understand how the hell we got here and Ann Frank got it right. She belived deep down we were really good. It makes me want to show her she was right.

WTM Admin

Yes Joy, what is so significant about having the human condition resolved is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves with great compassion and kindness. We recommend reading Freedom Essay 46, because it precisely explains that the beautiful vision that Anne Frank and Olive Schreiner shared of a human-condition-resolved peaceful world is now possible.

HR

It is repeated endlessly that man’s negative traits (greed, aggression, war..) do not Spring from primal instincts related to reproduction, and territorialism. Therefore, whence do these traits come from? Secondly, while I support this movement, I’m afraid there is no hope to implement it worldwide when most of mankind is drunk on Islam, Christianity and other brainwashing. These people have no interest in thinking independently, outside of their religion. Even if every principle is correct, there is zero chance of implementing it throughout mankind. Most people are already programmed by age 3-4, and have no interest in outside ideas.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition explains that the source of our negative traits is our psychologically upset state, which was the unavoidable result of a clash between our pre-established instincts and emerging conscious mind. Jeremy explains in THE Interview that without this defence for our upset state we have sought to falsely blame our behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us.     While this biological understanding of the human condition really is the universal solution to all the problems we face, it does have a slow start-up phase. It will take some time to break through fixed patterns of thought, as well as the bastions of power in the world, but once this information gets a foothold through enough people like you developing a deep appreciation and desire to support it, the selfless love and energy that will generated will solve our problems very quickly because instead of being preoccupied with seeking salvation, or seeking power, fame, fortune etc, all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world.     We thought we would also mention Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or the central tenets of most religions. His work simply brings biological understanding to religion’s pre-scientific descriptions of our condition (see our FAQs about religion).

Isn Fannin

This interview has brought together a solution to a lot of the conflict and indifference in the world in an unthreatening manner. Thank you Jeremy!

Looking forward to downloading the book. No better time to watch than right now. Thank you Jeremy Griffith.

Have listened twice and this brought me to tears. Utopia won’t happen in my lifetime, I am 65, but I have always in my time searched for answers. Brilliant and let’s hope the children move this on to a much better world where peace and love is normal. Bless

Unni Marigaard Øverland

Thank you, for your explanation, for me as a beliver it’s grounded in the vital understanding for us who live now to see the real meaning of our lives, and to hear about these animals that are living together in love and harmony, that is what we all should be taken as an example to live by, especially now under this difficult times we are living under, thank you

Leroy Ecby Jr.

Very, well, amazing

William Bray

Wow we have a very difficult task ahead here people will run from this

WTM Admin

Yes, it is true that the truth about our corrupted condition is initially confronting. As Jeremy Griffith explains in FAQ 1.39 titled, ‘How are we supposed to cope with all the heretical truths brought to light by the explanation of the human condition?’, “While the explanation of the human condition allows us to finally understand why every human is equally worthy and good, having the blinds drawn on our situation inevitably reveals a universe of previously denied truths, a litany of heresies. All the lies and delusions we humans have been using to protect ourselves from exposure of our immensely upset, corrupted condition (that has inevitably resulted from humanity’s 2-million-year heroic search for knowledge) while we couldn’t truthfully explain it are suddenly laid bare. The truth reveals the lies, as it must.”     So it can seem like a difficult task, but the wonderful thing is, that as Jeremy goes on to explain, “thankfully, and most importantly, no one has to overly confront their old, upset self—everyone can leave that behind as dealt with and simply live for the new world and all its potential.”     As Part 4 of THE Interview explains, it will take generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but importantly we can be immediately free of its affects. Our FAQ 1.6 summarises how understanding the human condition is the universal solution to human suffering, and the Transformation section of our website illustrates the extraordinary transformation of the human race it makes possible in just three short video presentations. Basically, so exciting and relieving is this breakthrough, and the freedom from the human condition that is now on offer, that everyone will want it, and so it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening! On our homepage you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

I have been interested in the human condition all of life so I want to Thank You for addressing this major issue.

Lawrence Spiers

There will never be a complete explanation and understanding of the human condition through science unless the role of the Creator, who made science possible, is taken into consideration. As humans we must walk through the fire of life to be refined and to learn the difference between love and the lack of it. Science is not an explanation of reality!! Science is a description of reality!! And the greatest revealing science (Physics) tells me that Paradise is a reality!!?❤️

Dean

What he is trying to say, with a total misunderstanding, denial and ignorance of the truth, is that the human condition that exists is a result of the sin nature born into every human being since the fall of Adam and Eve. I feel sorry for anyone who buys this load of malarkey.

WTM Admin

What is explained is that the human condition is a result of a clash between our emerging conscious mind and preestablished instincts. Tragically, when our conscious mind wrested control from our instincts and began its search for understanding our instincts in effect criticised the conscious mind. The result was the psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state that characterises the human condition.

Excellent. The idea of existential angst causes a deep riff in human psyche. There’s a hollow feeling unable to be stilled unless the experience of connection from that “still small voice” intuitively felt and sustained on a deep level. Enjoying this journey with you. Thank you Dr Jeremy Griffith and all for saving Humanity . The Human Condition a vital study!

Barbara Dawid

Klaus Swab would approve of this simplistic and vain explanation of human condition that would play extremely well in his idea of the “great reset”..... This explanation is very one sided and does not address the duality of the human/spirit realities of our existence as was already so eloquently done by the ancients like Plato and Jesus for example.

Anthony Roylance

Makes absolute sense to me. All wild animals live in peace and harmony as we home sapiens did millions of years ago. A large majority of human race is becoming Psychotic

WTM Admin

It is explained that unlike other animals our human ancestors developed completely loving and cooperative instincts through the nurturing based love-indoctrination process (which is explained in Part 3 of THE Interview). While they are not conscious, and therefore haven’t encountered the clash between intellect and instinct that characterises the human condition, other animals are hostage to genes’ necessary selfishness.

jack mccarson

If not for the study of “the human condition” where would we be. The secrets of mankind would be hidden from us and we would slip further into the vail of a government who’s lies have blinded us thus far.

WTM Admin

The truth is that all humans, not just governments, have lived in denial of the human condition, and as it turns out, quite rightly so. Until we could explain our apparently non-ideal behaviour, all we could do was block it out, and just keep going in the faith that one day the redeeming explanation would be found – which is what has now happened!

Murray Neil

So there was a Garden of Eden after all...

WTM Admin

Yes, with our psychologically upset now defended, it is now safe to admit that mankind’s beginnings were peaceful and loving – see Part 3 of THE Interview; and in Part 4, it is explained how, with the human condition now solved, all humans will be able to return to that non-upset ideal state we’ve longed for, but we will return to it with understanding, in a fully conscious way.

John Eckert

I admire and adore this exchange. We can forgive ourselves, as we instinctively know we should, for simply being curious and bored at times.

WTM Admin

The explanation of the human condition means we can now understand that there was a good reason for all the destructive, selfish behaviour that we humans have engaged in, which means that humanity’s great burden of guilt has finally been lifted.

Joshua Smith

I found this understanding of the human condition informative. Working as a manager in a kitchen people tend to get upset or angry when approached with a new technique or idea. Explaining the human condition shows why they get upset when leaving a comfort zone and why one tends to get complex. The appropriate knowledge and understanding diminishes these feelings entirely over time. Thankful for the knowledge as it is a great technique used in the workplace and abroad.

Maria Harrington

I think this is great news. The key to change is acknowledging that there is a problem and a solution. I’m really excited about this

The idea and knowledge involved in the video ‘Human Condition’ is a wake up call for understanding more than believed doctrines in quest of solutions to certain aspects of human problems

Ann Sullivan

Hello: Thank you for the book Freedom Jeremy, it is a fascinating reveal. I am 83 and as you stated, human evolution began with innocence - the old brain (before consciousness), graduating to the long period ‘mid brain’ and now full consciousness. Through your dedicated work and the sciences I now have the capacity to (slowly) grasp the facts of evolution. Thank you for that.

WTM Admin

Yes Ann it is wonderful to be able to understand our evolution. And even more wonderful that our 2 million year ‘mid period’ during which we have had no ability to explain and understand why we corrupted our original innocent instinctive self or soul has now come to an end! At long last, with this redeeming understanding of the human condition, humanity has ‘graduated’ to ‘full consciousness’.

Trevor

Excellent, brilliant...

Gundi Wolf

Wonderful revelations, thank you so much - would it be fair to say though that we truly as a whole species are still at the beginning of reaching the true level of consciousness - since the ego that currently overrides and runs the show in most peoples minds unrecognized - still renders everyone unconscious to actual reality?

WTM Admin

It is critical that this information becomes mainstream, because only it can bring peace to the ego. Without it, the great paradox is that it has been necessary and right for humanity to be egocentric, even though that brought with it so much pain and destruction – that has been the price of searching for knowledge. Only this redeeming, reconciling and rehabilitating explanation of the human condition can bring about the true change in consciousness we all long for.

Angelo Mpho Sejabatho

Mr J. Griffith, you are so powerful and if I can say gifted or ...I don’t know how to explain you but according to me a Doctor indeed! Thanks a lot for your explanations and I guess anyone who suffers from mental illness may actually get aided if he can understand and listen clearly to what you have said. Thanks!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your wonderful comment Angelo. We thought you might be interested in psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen’s response to the question ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis? – see FAQ 1.34, and it is also good to read FAQ 1.35 ‘Does this heal anxiety?’. As you have so quickly understood, what is so significant and relieving about having the human condition resolved is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can understand humans’ psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us which is important for everyone to be mindful of (as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises).

Wayne Silva

So you don’t believe in the Bible, good luck with that!

Mosima

Thank you for the informative interview.

steve girling

So you talk of Darwinism and Adam and Eve. Both can’t be right!

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition, brings biological understanding to religious accounts of our condition, which means we can at last reconcile science and religion. For instance, as THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. You might be interested in our FAQs about religion, especially 6.2 ‘What is God’ and 6.3 ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’. Also there are Jeremy’s Freedom Essays 38 – 41 about the demystification of religion which are absolutely fascinating.

Caroline

I have always had a deep insight to this topic and understood that the final conflict is with in and reflected with out. There is much to say around this, but, it is a conscious choice to remain in discord and live in projected illusions. On a deeper level, I think man is non accepting of forgiveness and in frustration of this the science of man is declaring that they can propagate the image of himself synthetically upon the new worlds he seeks to escape the prison he believes Earth is .. so very sad and utterly soul destroying. I am witnessing so much psychosis globally, fuelled by the lust of power, which happens with separation of the divine or of nature. Thank you for laying down this movement for change.

WTM Admin

Yes, all the dysfunction and destruction in the world is a reflection of the conflict within us, however, what is so important about what Jeremy Griffith presents with the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition, is that it is not just another plea to consciously live ‘above’ the discord within us, but it actually solves that discord by reconciling instinct and intellect. It explains the very good reason that our intellect had to defy our instincts (which is that genes can orientate but nerves need to understand) and having found that understanding means all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. You might be interested in reading more in FAQ 1.6: Why this solves everything.

Dilhani Hackett

It is a wonderful modern day scientific explanation. Definitely suited for the up & coming youngsters & existing adults. Buddha explained 2500 + years ago, that to be born a human is the greatest achievement in life. Humans are the only beings that can think plan understand & act on it. Unfortunately we have greed & attachment with it. This greed also is thought planned & executed by us! On that we are now gradually destroying life all together. We call it development. Buddha said to be mindful as every action of us living beings, will have a reaction. Therefore we got to have the knowledge to control our most important mind before we act.

WTM Admin

While Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

OMG what can I say..I cried with the beauty and awareness I now have from this interview. All that shame I have been holding. I thought it was from catholic guilt! I have been enlightened. My deep thanks this information is available at this crucial time in history.

Lawrence wood

Brilliant, could this be the turning point to our future existence as human beings and bring peace on Earth, I truly hope so.

Rachel Bailie

This makes perfect sense to me, when it is explained so clearly using the Bonobo example. I felt an instant connection...as well as the deep sadness at what we lost due to our “critical thinking”...and the words from the song “Woodstock”...finding our way back, to the garden..to our beginnings..and to our own salvation...

WTM Admin

That is the great paradox of the human condition – we humans had to defy our instincts and become corrupted in self in order to find understanding of the human condition. Now with that found we can at last reconcile and heal our split selves and return to a selfless way of living, see FAQ 4.3. As T.S. Eliot wrote, “We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploring / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time.”

Gerald Frederick Merchant

Loved this interview. Brilliant and simply explained.

Please explain scientifically how a brain can change from non-reasoning to reasoning. And if that were possible why are apes not changing to humans today?

WTM Admin

In Part 3 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains how consciousness developed as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process and refers the viewer to Chapter 7 of his definitive book FREEDOM for a comprehensive explanation — a summary of which is provided in FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’.     With regard to existing apes, the evidence presented in Part 3 of THE Interview is that bonobos are also undergoing the love-indoctrination process (which depends on the species finding itself in an environment rich in food and shelter and low in competitors), which explains why they are the most conscious of the apes. You can read more about the love-indoctrination process, the hominin fossil record, and bonobos in chapter 5 of FREEDOM.

Each and every one of us are supposed to be perceptive human beings. Perception should enable us to identify our true and correct nature. It is the same nature we are supposed to share in common with every other perceptive human being, over and above our individual outward material traits. Someday our collective and detailed understanding of the natural structure of every consequence we face will evolve to a point of clarity so that anyone will have the means to work out a clear understanding of all the forces at play in our lives. The human race has only been working on this riddle for tens of thousands of generations.

Karen Liwoch

Bruce Lipton has been teaching this for decades.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Karen. You may be interested that Jeremy Griffith is currently writing two new essays which will cover the work of Bruce Lipton and others and the huge difference between them and his instinct vs intellect treatise. As THE Interview explains it is our destructively behaved, so-called human condition that really has to be dealt with if we are to solve the world’s problems and heal the human race. To do this we had to answer the age-old question of ‘why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, are we so angry, competitive and selfish?’, and this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. You may find FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does this instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ of interest.     These forthcoming essays are Freedom Essays 63: ‘Pseudo Therapy/Healing’ and 64: ‘Real Therapy/Healing’. Essay 63 will explain there are many approaches that seek to heal and therapise human psychoses but they are all coming from an extremely dishonest and superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angle, and this does include the work of Bruce Lipton and many others, and Essay 64 will present the human-condition-confronting, honest, true, genuinely effective therapy/healing that understanding of the human condition now makes possible.

Domination, dictatorship, boeling the world with power and selfish beavior. Thank you for sharing this knowledge and I will love to find more of this positive and meaningful mindset.

Peter Hubbard

Im surprised you think animals are not conscious.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview that consciousness means being sufficiently aware of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding cause and effect. Clearly, while other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’ none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing ‘fully conscious minds’. We recommend reading FAQ 5.4 ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’
