I have found this to be interesting yet I sat listening with frustration as time and time again males were referred to as both sources and illustrations of examples. The female perspective is lacking particularly as it is mothers who foster the nurturing which is suggested is the remedy to the state of competitive aggression. I was also disappointed by the religious references as I thought this was a biological perspective. The bible is a western construct in a male dominated society that preach good bad ideology or sin. As an Australian you live in a society that has a 40,000 year old culture that has kinship networks and a matriarchal structure that speaks volumes about the female perspective of your view. It is a non western perspective that doesn’t subscribe to the “bad” that you talk about. Try a her occasionally rather than just his or him. The female perspective are missing and they are less competition, aggressive etc and have equal relevance to your argument.
WTM Admin
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback Bindi and hope you find this response helpful. The female perspective is certainly not missing from Jeremy Griffith’s treatise and both the male and female contribution to the human journey are fully explained and equally acknowledged. In fact maternal love is finally given the recognition and honour it deserves. Astonishingly with Jeremy’s biological explanation of the human condition we can at last understand and reconcile the huge gulf that has existed between men and women. We can also understand why men especially, but also women, suffer from the human condition and all it’s related behaviours including selfishness and egocentricity, but that ALL HUMANS ARE EQUALLY GOOD and equally heroic. See molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women and our FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile men and women’.
Also we refer you to FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology why are there religious references’ which explains the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so naturally in explaining the human condition religious references will be used, and through scientific explanation, finally demystified and reconciled.
We suggest that the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and self—the question of are we fundamentally good or bad— is something mythology, religions and cultures have struggled with and tried to address in various ways since the human condition began some 2 million years ago.

I’m impressed with this thought and hoping that this interview we expect will be of great interest that others of interest will be opened to the needs and ensure that the thoughts provoking will be of great honour and uplift those in need.
We as CONDITIONED HUMANS must be focussed and be well prepared and accommodated to ensure that everyone who has engaged this concept above must take it seriously and that all are uplifted, and engaged into the next Appropriate level ASAP. Let’s all accommodate our young and in need and grow up matured, exposed and decent.

PLEASE, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT APPROPRIATE LEVEL ASAP !
It MUST be expeditiously executed !
Michael Terania
Totally agree, logical, co_relates biblically.
WTM Admin
Yes Michael, the human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for so-called ‘good and evil’ and is therefore the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained. Jeremy Griffith’s treatise actually reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. You might be interested in our FAQs about religion.

Amazing explanation on the human condition that the world needs to know and take heed
Kaase
It makes sense, trying to think this way. I think it is not too distinct from the dominion mandate of Mankind as enshrined in the Holy Book.
WTM Admin
Religions have provided humanity with incredible guidance, comfort and love under the duress of the human condition but ultimately to resolve and liberate ourselves from our conflicted human condition our conscious brain needed to understand why when the universal ideals of life are to be loving and cooperative are we also so hateful and competitive. To do this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great breakthrough that biologist Jeremy Griffith has found. With this knowledge we can at last advance the human race from a human-condition afflicted state, where religions were a means of managing our condition, to a state completely free of that terrible affliction. Kaase you might like to explore our FAQ 1.4 about how this understanding transforms our lives and how it is different to a religion and also our FAQs about religion.

Ive known of this for most of my life I’m 54 & I totally agree with everything Jeremy said what an Amazing man you are Jeremy & bless you over & over again for being the 1 to bring this to light to the world & from my personal experiences it all starts with self help & self change if mindset thankyou & have an Amazing rest of your life with lots of love sincerely shayanne murdoch
WTM Admin
Thank you Shayanne for your beautiful words and it’s wonderful Jeremy’s work is reasonating so deeply with you! Despite our competitive and selfish behaviour, we have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good, but we have never been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition. That is the great breakthrough presented here. Using first principle-based biology, Jeremy explains that understanding why the intellect had to defy our cooperative ‘good’ instincts and become psychologically upset, or ‘bad’, could we resolve our species’ psychosis. Only by understanding our dark side can we free ourselves from the human condition and bring lasting change to ourselves and the world. This is the critical difference between Jeremy’s work and the new age movement, see FAQ 6.5.

This interview indicates a glimmer of hope for homo sapiens (humans) and the complex, fragile network of life we depend upon.
BUT: Look at the present geo-political and physical world! Can an understanding of the tragic human condition save us from accelerating anthropogenic climate change, pollution and collapse of the biosphere? Can it wrest control from the billionaire megalomaniac merchants, the giant multinational corporations, the media controlling tycoons like Rupert Murdoch? Can it prevent the “Military Industrial Congressional Complex” and our “Political Representatives” in government from accidentally triggering nuclear holocaust? Can it quickly engage the polarised, argumentative, alienated, opinions of the dumbed-down, addicted, video game-playing voting public quickly enough to replace our corrupt politicians and save our species?
I certainly hope so, but think it’s too little too late. Maybe David Bowie’s Starman will suddenly materialise and help us, because it doesn’t seem likely some supernatural God will.
WTM Admin
The astonishing claims being made about Jeremy Griffith’s work do warrant initial scepticism however they can be verified as what Jeremy presents is all first principle-based, testable, biological understanding of the human condition which has attracted the support of eminent scientists and thinkers, see our homepage and FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical about claims’. We suggest that the more one digests this ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, the more they realise that it is not just accountable in getting to the source of all humanity’s psychological upset which causes the problems you mention, but how, because it is a compassionate understanding, even the most angry and power hungry will see that they are being defended, not criticised, and so will embrace the understanding, which is why it will ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate ‘upset’ everywhere. See FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding the human condition solve everything’ and FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

As a Bio and Ag Engineer and a Christian, this really connected the dots. Hoping and praying the dogmas are part of what people are really interested in understanding. Otherwise, it will all continue as is. Really great content here. Yes to US!
WTM Admin
Great to have your interest, Walkyria. Yes, it’s imperative the world learns of Jeremy Griffith’s first principle-based biological understanding because only through understanding the dark side of ourselves — why we departed from our all-loving instincts and became selfish — can we free ourselves from the human condition and legitimately love ourselves, each other and the world again. We recommend reading our FAQ 1.6, ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

Mind boggling, going to get the book
Alixandr Julian Gordon-Coe
This really opens your eyes to the human condition, but not how we rehabilitate. Realizing there is a war doesn’t stop the war.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment, Alixandr. Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’, presents the answer to how this understanding allows us to transform our lives. It explains that it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.5 and FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. You may also be interested in FAQ 1.38 ‘How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour?’.
As the late Professor Harry Prosen, psychiatrist and former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said: ‘I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.’
Sumedh R Rao
Illuminating and life changing vision. Everyone must listen and follow.
Kevin
To summarize. You’re not bad and never were. The conscious mind is the only thing that says that. This is what causes guilt, greed, fear and to regress from the light. Heed this message.
David Makin
To completely ignore the basic instincts is wrong - our behaviour is a combination of both - in the same way that we are a combination of both genetics and environment.
Also looking at wild animals etc. he’s vastly underestimating them here also - e.g. feral dogs in India rescuing other (unrelated) dogs from traffic after they’ve ben knocked down.
Animals DO NOT have “no conscious thought”, they just have limited conscious thought, in fact dolphins are even considered borderline “sentient”.
WTM Admin
Thanks for your feedback David. In THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains the key biological distinction between humans and other animals is that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. Words used to describe our human behaviour such as egocentric, arrogant, inspired, depressed, deluded, pessimistic, optimistic, artificial, hateful, cynical, mean, sadistic, immoral, brilliant, guilt-ridden, evil, psychotic, neurotic and alienated, all recognise the involvement of OUR species’ fully conscious thinking mind. They demonstrate that there is a psychological dimension to our behaviour; that we don’t suffer from a genetic-opportunism-driven ‘animal condition’, but a conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled HUMAN CONDITION. You might be interested in our FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’ And also Part 3 of THE Interview on how we developed our moral conscience (summarised in FAQ 5.2).

Good afternoon Jeremy.
I downloaded your book. And could not put it down. I read it in 3 days. Wow wow I am telling all my friends to read the book. Awesome
Prosper Kudjoe Domey
Precise and definitively absolute explanation of the human condition. I particularly like the analogy of the Stork Adam. The conscious mind has definitely being at war with our natural instincts. Herein lies our debilitating psychological human condition. The so-called conscious mind is our arch enemy. Being conscious in itself is not necessarily bad in itself, it is what we humans have ‘consciously’ done with this part of the mind.
WTM Admin
Thanks, Prosper, for your comment. Yes, we have been at war with our instincts, however, it is important to clarify that rather than the “conscious mind [being] our arch enemy” the opposite is actually true; we can now understand that the conscious mind was right, or ‘good’, to defy our instinctive self, in order to fulfil its great potential to find knowledge, ultimately understanding of the human condition. Fundamentally, having found the good, indeed heroic, reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our selfish, uncaring behaviours (our insecurity, anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant and we can legitimately love ourselves and each other again. This is the essence of the transformation that this breakthrough makes available.

Enjoy your cogent insight into the human condition using many brilliant minds, it has confirmed one aspect of religions being based on fear and submission. Truth more accurately is that we have to accept that we just do not know all the answers and this is the basis of learning. I.e. the more we learn, the more we know we don’t know.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment, Ron. As our FAQ 1.36 explains our search for knowledge certainly continues but finally being able to understand the human condition, which is the fundamental understanding our conscious mind has been in search of ever since we corrupted our innocent instinctive state, it can now progress in a healthy, truthful way!
David Makin
I heartily agree despite my other comments which I meant as clarification rather than negative criticism....the question I would pose is after the rehabilitation of us humans...what next ? :D :D
Personally I think we have a moral obligation to carry on thte human tendency to learn and explore which not only means venturing to other planets but also other Universes.
Bernadette
OH my this is so powerful and may God bless you.
Mike Webb
Yes I was understanding exactly what you were saying but when you were talking about the left and the right and you decided everybody was going to be left well that’s when I left, Right. Proving your point, WOW
WTM Admin
Hi Mike, it takes a little time to get your head around the paradox of the human condition, and in particular, how it applies to politics — so we hope the following summary from paragraph 1136 of Jeremy Griffith’s definitive presentation on the human condition, FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, is helpful. There Jeremy explains that the final irony of the saga of humanity’s great journey from ignorance to enlightenment is that the ideal world that the left-wing was dogmatically demanding is actually brought about by the right-wing winning its reality-defending, freedom-from-idealism, corrupting-search-for-knowledge battle against the freedom-oppressing pseudo idealistic dogma of the left-wing. With the freedom-from-dogma right-wing’s search for understanding of the human condition completed, the justification for the egocentric power-fame-fortune-and-glory-seeking way of life espoused by the right-wing ends, replaced by the ideal-behaviour-obeying attitude that the left-wing sought. In this sense, when the right-wing wins we all become left-wing; through the success of the philosophy of the right-wing, we all adopt the philosophy of the left-wing—but, most significantly, this time we are not abandoning an ongoing battle, we are leaving it won.
We strongly recommend perusing our FAQs about politics, and Jeremy’s book, Death by Dogma, which is available for free on our homepage.

I think transcendental meditation can help your cause and our healing. I found your sessions interesting
WTM Admin
Thank you for your feedback, Fiona. Practices such as meditation have certainly been invaluable tools in helping us cope with the upset human condition, calm the troubled mind and access our soul, but they ultimately fail to produce a lasting solution to the destruction and devastation we see all around us. Fundamentally they are about transcending, escaping, the pain in our brains, rather than confronting and solving it, and thereby its destructive effects, at its source which Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does.
Donovan
Far too many humans on earth. And the current fight is mainly about status and money and we’ve become so aggressive, protective and selfish/polarised as a consequence of this. Pres. Joe Biden so correctly says that the world has become a much more dangerous place.
WTM Admin
Hi Donovan, we suggest the more you digest this presentation, the more you realise that the human condition is behind all our “dangerous” actions and motivations; our anger and egocentricity and the associated drive for material wealth are symptoms of our insecure, human condition afflicted state. It follows that if you address that underlying insecurity, then our greed (along with all our other artificial sources of reinforcement) will be removed. And that is what this understanding does – it addresses and solves that core insecurity about our self-worth. In fact, this redeeming, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fortune and glory. You might be interested in FAQ 1.40, which addresses ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful?'
Michael Katjepunda
This is totally a mind opener. I have been going through a difficult time for some time now, but after listening to this concept of the “human condition” and as I’m finding more info, it’s like I was going in the wrong direction all my life.
WTM Admin
We greatly appreciate your interest, Michael, and encourage you to continue to investigate; its significance will only continue to grow on you. In fact, we suggest that the more you look into it, the more you will agree with Professor Harry Prosen that this is a breakthrough of immeasurable importance to the human race — which is why support for the WTM is growing with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres popping up all over the world. We recommend reading FAQs 1.4–1.6 for more on the speed in which this knowledge can turn everyone’s life, and thus humanity, in the right direction and transform it.

A lot to absorb but fascinating! Having myself not been brought up in a loving environment, I have struggled with many things about myself and have spent many years feeling a failure to my own children…we need so much to go back to the basics of love, support and being a caring society…I was fascinated hearing about the Bonobo primates and how loving and nurturing they are…we need so much of that in the world today. Thank you for helping me understand a bit more about the human condition…
WTM Admin
Thank you Charmaine, for your sensitive reaction to THE Interview. It is wonderful to have your interest. The significance and profundity of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition takes some time to absorb, but the more you do absorb it, the more you realise just how all-redeeming, all-reconciling and all-liberating it is.
Now that we can understand the origins of our species’ psychologically upset or corrupted condition, we’re for the first time ever in a position to explore human psychosis from the safe foundation insight into the overall psychosis in all humans. And, not only that, safely understand our own particular experience of humanity’s psychologically upset condition; for example, in chapters 8:16C–D of his definitive book FREEDOM, Jeremy explains how under the duress of the human condition in the world today, no mother or father has been able to adequately nurture their offspring with the unconditional love all children, in their incredible innocence and sensitivity, expect. These chapters contain amazing insights into how children then blame themselves for shortfalls in love during their upbringing (see, for example, paragraphs 988 and 1005), and how the anxiety that self-blame produces keeps bubbling up during their adulthood, as you’ve recognised in yourself. So, Charmaine, there are many, many insights in FREEDOM that bring relieving understanding to the dysfunction that all humans variously suffer from now after humanity’s heroic journey to find this liberating understanding, which we encourage you to explore. It is also important to stress that once we have verified the truth of this understanding, we don’t have to overly confront the dysfunction and upset in ourselves as our fundamental goodness is biologically explained and we can move forward to live in support of this new truthful framework of knowledge that solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life; see FAQs 1.4 – 1.6.
We wanted to end this reply with this magnificent passage from chapter 6:13 of FREEDOM (which is titled, ‘Nurturing now becomes a priority’), because it provides a reassuring view on how, with compassionate understanding of the human condition, we can now appreciate that while humanity’s necessary preoccupation with finding knowledge compromised our ability to nurture, now that that preoccupation ends we can safely acknowledge the absolute importance of nurturing in our species’ development, and in its future: “now that we have found that very good reason why parents have been unable to nurture their children with anything like the unconditional love children instinctively expect and need, it is no longer necessary to deny the importance of nurturing both in the maturation of our species and in our own lives. Yes, with the arrival of understanding the terrible guilt that parents have felt for not being able to adequately nurture their offspring departs. Parents can now understand that their inability to adequately love their offspring is not their fault, but the product of the ever-accumulating levels of upset in the human race as a whole that resulted from our species’ heroic 2-million-year search for knowledge, specifically for self-knowledge, understanding of why we conscious humans are good and not bad. So yes, we can finally now admit the importance of nurturing and turn our attention back to the nurturing of our offspring—in fact, it now becomes a matter of great urgency that we do both these things.”
Michael Walker
Like most creative enlightenments it explains everyday life and supported by some of our great thinkers comments. It recognises the role of the brain and the nervous system in everyday behaviour. It provides us with a powerful concept in analysing people in groups.
WTM Admin
Thank you very much for your comments, Michael. But the ultimate questions remain, what is it about ourselves that the great thinkers have sought to comment upon; why is it that our brain/nervous system differs from the rest of the animal kingdom; and what is it that drives all everyday life and the behaviour of ourselves individually, which can also be perceived as group behaviour? What is so significant about Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise is that it actually answers these essential questions of life, and why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? That is what Jeremy finally explains with his instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition and what is of unique importance to the survival of the world. The full significance of this explanation does takes time to absorb, but the more you do absorb it, the more you realise just how all-reconciling and liberating it is. Our FAQ 1.13 explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s treatise in bringing “enlightening” truth to human existence.
Alta Osborn
Finally, the discovery of importance in the knowledge in the concept of “original sin”
WTM Admin
Yes, Alta, ultimately science had to explain our less than ideal condition, and what we learn is that the emerging conscious mind was right, or ‘good’ to defy our instinctive self in order to fulfil its great potential to manage life. In religious terminology, we can now understand from scientific first principles that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’ or ‘sinful’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! This removes the burden of guilt from humanity; it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.
Jo
Nothing new. just repackaging of ancient Indian science
WTM Admin
As THE Interview explains, while thinkers throughout history have touched on elements of the human condition in their thinking, ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ and Video/Freedom Essay 4 which expands further on other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition.

The mind is the brain in work process...The complexity of the bioquimical brain is not so easy explain.
WTM Admin
Hi André, we appreciate hearing your thoughts. We’re not sure if you’re referring to Julian Jaynes’s theory of the bicameral mind, which states that humans are a mentally unbalanced species due to an inadequate coordination between our emotional old brain and our cognitive new brain and which Jeremy Griffith addresses in Video/Freedom Essay 4. There it is explained that while many have identified the elements of instinct and intellect involved in creating the human condition, the biological breakthrough Jeremy’s treatise provides is the clarifying explanation of the nature of the conflict between them and explains without that explanation the conflict could not be resolved. This key biological distinction reveals our “complex” behaviour comes from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition or our reptilian brain.
Jillian Neal
This is the hope I have been looking for!!!
After being traumatised from being-bullied in a workplace which has been disgracefully mismanaged this interview has given me understanding of human behaviour that wants me to explore human nature further to find understanding of what I have experienced and learn more and share this knowledge on how to create a more peaceful and loving world.
This video has given me an exciting new path to follow. With love and thanks. Jillian
WTM Admin
Thank you for your appreciative comment, Jillian, it’s wonderful to hear this understanding is resonating with you and helping your situation. With regard to bullies, or who Jeremy Griffith terms ‘power addicts’, the more you digest how the instinct vs intellect battle resulted in humans’ psychologically upset state, the clearer it becomes that that upset produces very destructive and dysfunctional behaviour, leading to the traumatising treatment you speak of and which is, sadly, so common. However, what is so utterly exonerating and psychologically healing about our ability to now understand this is that we can finally appreciate that there was a very good reason—indeed heroic reason—for such behaviour, even the dark volcanic forces in extreme cases. But importantly, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction such extremes of selfishness, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it (see our FAQ 1.38).
We hope you continue to explore this relieving understanding, Jillian, by visiting our homepage, where you will find a road-map to pursue your interest, including registering for our interactive, live events with Jeremy Griffith and others, and joining our Facebook Group to engage in profound and clarifying discussions.

Hello, feminists have been saying violent behaviours are premeditated because the act always has “intent” (a conscious act, not instinctive).
WTM Admin
At last we can understand the source of our species' capacity for violence. As THE Interview explains, humans are born with loving, moral instincts that resulted from the love-indoctrination process in our species' past (see Freedom Essay 21), but we all now — regardless of gender — variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour, acts of shocking depravity and cruelty. Of course, this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather (as mentioned in our response to Jillian above), through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to heal and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it; see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’

Just give people panem et circenses [a Latin phrase meaning ‘bread and games’ referring to superficial appeasement], that is all they care about
WTM Admin
Thanks Alexandra. THE Interview explains, under the duress of the human condition, humans had to become so escapist and alienated that all we did care about was ‘superficial appeasement’ so we could evade, or live in denial of, the deeper questions about the meaning of life and our place it. In particular, why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. To quote Jeremy Griffith from Part 2: “While we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it, the truth is that on a graph showing the ever-increasing levels of upset in humans, those levels, especially of psychosis and alienation, have been increasing so rapidly lately that the line tracking their rise is near vertical with the amount of upset virtually doubling now in each new generation! Freedom Essays 55 & 59 on our World Transformation Movement’s website describes this terrifying end play threat of terminal levels of psychosis.” superficial appeasement offered no real, sustaining solution to our problems. Our thinking mind needed understanding—specifically, scientific explanation of why humans are fundamentally good and not bad, evil, worthless beings. That is what THE Interview presents and why it is heralded as being able to save the world because only the psychologically dignifying, redeeming and transforming understanding of the human condition can save our species from the terminal levels of alienation and superficiality that is leading to endgame for the human race.

Julia
Ever heard of Jiddu Krishnamurti?
He talked about this an lifetime and traveled all over the world.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Julia. Yes we are aware of the Indian philosopher J. Krishnamurti. You may find WTM Kolkata Centre founder Sanjoy Pal speaking about his respect for Krishnamurti and others and the great significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work interesting. To quote: “My other sources of inspiration are Gautama Buddha, Charles Darwin, Aldous Huxley, and J. Krishnamurti. I have great respect for their insightful teachings and all of them recognised the conflicted nature of humans, but unfortunately they also could not explain convincingly the root cause of our conflicted nature and how to solve it or break free. So, no matter how much I learned from these inspirational sources as well as others, the puzzle of all puzzles, the fundamental nature of humans, eluded me—until I stumbled on THE Interview of Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith. Jeremy’s interview was amazing and astonishingly insightful, as all the missing pieces of the great jigsaw puzzle of human nature fell into their proper places, just like connecting all the dots and providing the solution. In a nutshell, all humans are fundamentally good and not bad or evil according to the non-abstract biological explanation of Jeremy Griffith which is based on evidence and scientific first principle.” To watch or read a transcript of Sanjoy’s video go to WTM Kolkata.
Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’
Marlena Bloomfield
All the answers are written in the mitochondria of every cell in our bodies
WTM Admin
What is so significant about Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition is it reveals our selfish and competitive behaviour is not a product of our DNA, but the result of a psychosis, caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. And a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding—specifically by the clarification Jeremy Griffith provides of the difference between the way instincts and nerves, or our consciousness, works, see FAQ 1.3.
Mary grace caovilla
I wish this world craziness could stop but I don’t think it is possible there for our END is near.
WTM Admin
Yes, the situation is very serious as humanity is approaching endplay, but take heart Mary Grace because the solution is here. As you can see from the daily ecstatic responses on our homepage, more and more people everywhere are so relieved and excited to finally be able to make sense of human life!! We recommend you watch THE Interview, and, as Part 4 explains, it will take generations for the upset or “craziness” within us to be completely healed but importantly we can be immediately free of its affects, see FAQ 1.15. Also our FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

Thanks for your interesting and reflective oration. However, I do not agree with the idea that the scientific community can finally solve the so called human condition. Nor do I think it rests in mysticism (probably be good to define that term). The psychological aspect is a piece of the puzzle. What you have is a conditioned process, i.e based upon certain actions based upon specific intentions you form your character, modify your mind. This conditioned process is influenced by awareness or lack of it. So I don’t disagree that the consciousness of a person can improve their human condition but its not a scientific answer that is needed, rather it is an awareness that needs to be developed which I don’t think ought to be a materialistic scientific viewpoint. The labels that are referred to by the doc. I think serve only to designate the problem. But the solution I think lies in an ethical and spiritual practice. Beyond the instinctual there is reflective self awareness. It just needs to be developed deliberately and change the conditions that led to self destructive behaviour. Anyway, good to see these fundamental topics being explored.
WTM Admin
Hi Steve, great wisdom can be found in some spiritual and ethical teaching practices; indeed, there have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them can or have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition, because they don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world.
Indy
I’ve always believed that we had the option and ability to choose to follow our intellect over our genetic “programming”. I’ve been told many times that anger, violence, and non-cooperation are inevitable - hard-wired into who we are, part of our genetic hard-wiring, and cannot be changed or overcome. I’ve been denigrated for believing we can solve our conflict within our own psyches which will change the way we are in the world, can change relationships, and eventually the world. Thank you for helping me to understand what underlies my belief and cementing my commitment to change myself because that’s where world-wide healing will begin - with each of us. Gandhi knew that as did the songwriter who wrote. “Let there be peace and let it begin with me.” Thank you for your courage and compassion for sharing your revelation.
WTM Admin
Thank you very much for your comment, Indy. Yes, despite our competitive and selfish behaviour, we have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good, but we have never been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted condition—and so in the absence of the fully accountable, true understanding of the human condition, we humans needed to come up with some excuse, like humans having ‘savage animal instincts’, in order to cope with the negative implications of our behaviour (see FAQ 1.2). And, significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding! We hope you pursue your interest by registering for our interactive live events with Jeremy Griffith and others, and joining our Facebook Group, which is a great platform for participating in, or just observing, interesting and exciting discussion with others about how we can live with this critical new science.

I invested my best time to listen to Jeremy’s interview on human conditioning. Please clear me on this point... how can ones’s ego-centric mind to be freed from it since it is closely associated with gene and upbringing. Appreciate your comments on this.
WTM Admin
Hi Nashaud, it does take time to digest, but in THE Interview Jeremy Griffith puts forward the explanation that all humans are psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated as a result of the instinct vs intellect clash, even though it may manifest itself in slightly different ways depending on the culture or environment. But essentially he explains that when humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically upset — angry, egocentric and alienated — a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive, egocentric behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

See molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women and our FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile men and women’.Also we refer you to FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology why are there religious references’ which explains the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so naturally in explaining the human condition religious references will be used, and through scientific explanation, finally demystified and reconciled. We suggest that the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and self—the question of are we fundamentally good or bad— is something mythology, religions and cultures have struggled with and tried to address in various ways since the human condition began some 2 million years ago.Very insightful and educative. Thank you to the World Transformation Movement. And for giving the world this free gift.
Very Expository Interview on Human Existence. Thank You Mr Jeremy for this Great Research. Thanks to everyone who made the Broadcast Possible. Absolutely Incredible

Very interesting, thought provoking, well thought out, clear concise presentation, PLEASE, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT APPROPRIATE LEVEL ASAP ! It MUST be expeditiously executed !
Totally agree, logical, co_relates biblically.
It makes sense, trying to think this way. I think it is not too distinct from the dominion mandate of Mankind as enshrined in the Holy Book.
Thank you very much appreciated for this mind blowing message, very awesome and amazing, most definitely must have a book right now. Thanks for sharing this remarkable message.

I am very spiritual and i think this is amazing . When we understand we can grow .

We thought you might find our FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’

Thank You so much for offering this course for free. You are a blessing.
Thank you Jeremy for giving us a very beautiful perspective of human beings and a so different understanding. I’ll go deeper and will read your book but I already found answers to existential questions I had inside of me since always. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

I learned a lot. Thank You Jeremy
As a Bio and Ag Engineer and a Christian, this really connected the dots. Hoping and praying the dogmas are part of what people are really interested in understanding. Otherwise, it will all continue as is. Really great content here. Yes to US!
This really opens your eyes to the human condition, but not how we rehabilitate. Realizing there is a war doesn’t stop the war.
You may also be interested in FAQ 1.38 ‘How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour?’.As the late Professor Harry Prosen, psychiatrist and former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said: ‘I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.’Illuminating and life changing vision. Everyone must listen and follow.
To summarize. You’re not bad and never were. The conscious mind is the only thing that says that. This is what causes guilt, greed, fear and to regress from the light. Heed this message.
Awesome
Deep insight into humans' behaviour and cause of its sufferings with ancient quotes. Thanks Jeremy. Definitely want detailed readings from the published book.
100% absolutely brilliant. This is so what the world needs. Thank you Jeremy.
We are children of God. In each of us is that goodness. Your explanation is exactly the truth of that relationship with God or for those who have no belief in a God has a soul that has that goodness you speak of.

Superb
Enjoy your cogent insight into the human condition using many brilliant minds, it has confirmed one aspect of religions being based on fear and submission. Truth more accurately is that we have to accept that we just do not know all the answers and this is the basis of learning. I.e. the more we learn, the more we know we don’t know.
I heartily agree despite my other comments which I meant as clarification rather than negative criticism....the question I would pose is after the rehabilitation of us humans...what next ? :D :D Personally I think we have a moral obligation to carry on thte human tendency to learn and explore which not only means venturing to other planets but also other Universes.
OH my this is so powerful and may God bless you.
Yes I was understanding exactly what you were saying but when you were talking about the left and the right and you decided everybody was going to be left well that’s when I left, Right. Proving your point, WOW
In this sense, when the right-wing wins we all become left-wing; through the success of the philosophy of the right-wing, we all adopt the philosophy of the left-wing—but, most significantly, this time we are not abandoning an ongoing battle, we are leaving it won.We strongly recommend perusing our FAQs about politics, and Jeremy’s book, Death by Dogma, which is available for free on our homepage.Awesome! Revelation on the conscious mind and human condition.
Very interesting. Thank you
This is very amazing, I can say it’s the breakthrough interview of the centuries now and yet to come
Timely, if not long due, for the sake of sobering Humanity’s Sensibilities!
I think transcendental meditation can help your cause and our healing. I found your sessions interesting
Far too many humans on earth. And the current fight is mainly about status and money and we’ve become so aggressive, protective and selfish/polarised as a consequence of this. Pres. Joe Biden so correctly says that the world has become a much more dangerous place.
This is totally a mind opener. I have been going through a difficult time for some time now, but after listening to this concept of the “human condition” and as I’m finding more info, it’s like I was going in the wrong direction all my life.
It is really amazing
I’m speechless.
In too deep, touching, thought-provoking, enriching, & inspiring; I truly appreciate this beautiful mind work, here unleashed for our relish.
Thank You. Very well. My best wishes for further success in enlightening the Human Race.
Thank you Charmaine, for your sensitive reaction to THE Interview. It is wonderful to have your interest. The significance and profundity of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition takes some time to absorb, but the more you do absorb it, the more you realise just how all-redeeming, all-reconciling and all-liberating it is.Now that we can understand the origins of our species’ psychologically upset or corrupted condition, we’re for the first time ever in a position to explore human psychosis from the safe foundation insight into the overall psychosis in all humans. It is also important to stress that once we have verified the truth of this understanding, we don’t have to overly confront the dysfunction and upset in ourselves as our fundamental goodness is biologically explained and we can move forward to live in support of this new truthful framework of knowledge that solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life; see FAQs 1.4 – 1.6.We wanted to end this reply with this magnificent passage from chapter 6:13 of FREEDOM (which is titled, ‘Nurturing now becomes a priority’), because it provides a reassuring view on how, with compassionate understanding of the human condition, we can now appreciate that while humanity’s necessary preoccupation with finding knowledge compromised our ability to nurture, now that that preoccupation ends we can safely acknowledge the absolute importance of nurturing in our species’ development, and in its future: “now that we have found that very good reason why parents have been unable to nurture their children with anything like the unconditional love children instinctively expect and need, it is no longer necessary to deny the importance of nurturing both in the maturation of our species and in our own lives. So yes, we can finally now admit the importance of nurturing and turn our attention back to the nurturing of our offspring—in fact, it now becomes a matter of great urgency that we do both these things.”Like most creative enlightenments it explains everyday life and supported by some of our great thinkers comments. It recognises the role of the brain and the nervous system in everyday behaviour. It provides us with a powerful concept in analysing people in groups.
Finally, the discovery of importance in the knowledge in the concept of “original sin”
Nothing new. just repackaging of ancient Indian science
Fully explained and helped me overcome my self understanding thx. from Manchester UK
What a delightful prospect for us all; to live and be a blessing to one another and all life. Particularly resonated with the section about our previous connection with trees and nature... heartwarming.
Wow, it’s true how human kind has evolved in such a way that we are living now! But we could change🙏🏼
Like coming home. Thank you
Great. This is the answer “man know yourself”
This information is fabulous....
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Incomparable to compare but those who have not experienced what is to be loved should listen.
Human species has been a mystery yet but here we get answers to our all query related to homo sapiens.
Powerful
Interesting and thought provoking.
The mind is the brain in work process...The complexity of the bioquimical brain is not so easy explain.
Jillian
But importantly, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction such extremes of selfishness, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it (see our FAQ 1.38).We hope you continue to explore this relieving understanding, Jillian, by visiting our homepage, where you will find a road-map to pursue your interest, including registering for our interactive, live events with Jeremy Griffith and others, and joining our Facebook Group to engage in profound and clarifying discussions.Hello, feminists have been saying violent behaviours are premeditated because the act always has “intent” (a conscious act, not instinctive).
I can finally understand what my wife has been saying all these years, thank you!
I found this interview very interesting
I am blown away. Thank you, thank you, thank you
Very interesting
Just give people panem et circenses [a Latin phrase meaning ‘bread and games’ referring to superficial appeasement], that is all they care about
Thanks Alexandra.
Thank you for putting this out there. Just when I thought the www was another failed attempt to help humanity. I found WTM and now I believe we can use the web and other mediums like print to help to get this understanding to everyone out there. I am based in Queenswood Pretoria South Africa and would like to know what’s the closest WTM center to me?
It’s great to have your interest Rob, and we wholeheartedly agree that the dissemination of this world-saving understanding is the absolute true purpose of the internet’s power to share knowledge. A WTM Centre has just opened in Mahikeng, and there are others in Cape Town and Eastern Cape; you can see the locations of Centres throughout the world here. The WTM’s Facebook Group also provides a wonderful community for participating in, or just observing, interesting and exciting discussion with others about how we can live with this critical new science.
Amazing
Unfortunately the interview is not available for all interested to view.
Hi Chris, THE Interview is freely available to watch, read, download or print for anyone who can access our website HumanCondition.com. Also, thanks to the wonderful efforts of the WTM’s ever-expanding global network, it has been translated into many languages which you can see at this link www.humancondition.com/translations/. People can also download the free Kindle version of THE Interview and Jeremy Griffith’s other key books, or purchase hard copies of them from Amazon.
Exciting information
Ever heard of Jiddu Krishnamurti? He talked about this an lifetime and traveled all over the world.
In a nutshell, all humans are fundamentally good and not bad or evil according to the non-abstract biological explanation of Jeremy Griffith which is based on evidence and scientific first principle.” To watch or read a transcript of Sanjoy’s video go to WTM Kolkata.Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’All the answers are written in the mitochondria of every cell in our bodies
I wish this world craziness could stop but I don’t think it is possible there for our END is near.
This is extremely fascinating. It has the ability to literally lift a dark mind into the deepest understanding that liberates human faculty.
I am happy to be a part of this
thanks for changing the world!

Biologist. Sir Jeremy Griffith, is absolutely right, in every sense, explaining the Human Condition.
In our world theres alot of things here we dont still know about.
Thank you for your comment Gary. As our FAQ 1.36 explains our search for knowledge certainly continues but finally being able to understand the human condition, which is the fundamental understanding our conscious mind has been in search of ever since we corrupted our innocent instinctive state, it can now progress in a healthy, truthful way!

Thank you for the insight into what I have been experiencing. This has really helped me!
Amazing and life changing interview. I was surprised with it and learnt an interesting reality. I would like to thank the psychiatrist and the broadcaster.
