The simplicity of this insight is so enormous. Truth is simple, difficult sometimes to accept but simple. And once you’re over the shock, it’s a new beginning, a new dawn. And deep deep deep down, you knew it all along, you just were forced to forget it to survive in the world. But that is over now. No more need to do that anymore. I feel extremely lucky to have another chance in life to live and love the way I ve always wanted to. And all because I read this book. I hope everyone does!

Winston

Not even close to a solution.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your consideration Winston. Readers of these comments may find FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding the human condition solve everything?’ helpful.

Paul

Absolutely brilliant. Fascinating. Mind blowing. Simplicity when explaining who we really are. Thank you . Every school around the world needs to learn this message of facts . Good luck to us all.

Deep understanding of human nature

David gladden

Very exciting been learning about consciousness for a while this is the next step

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest David. Yes this is the next step in terms of understanding human consciousness. Until the human condition was solved we were living in a state of denial and confusion about what consciousness actually is, but with humanity’s need for denial removed, we can now explain it clearly: see FAQ 5.4 ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’

Man does not know the way to peace but instead travel down the path of pain and destruction. I’d love to sit down and have a face to face with this guy.

Greg Becker

I’m not scared of shifting my view to a new understanding with the advances of science in the ability to explain the human condition. What I’m fearful of is that the world continues on the direction that it seems to be headed in now, for with nothing new for humanity as a whole to think about to possibly change the direction and our perception, we are certainly headed for a great fall. Again.

WTM Admin

Yes Greg, the world is fast reaching its 11th hour. This new science presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking so it does take a little time to see how it can address your deep concerns but it actually does and will turn things around incredibly quickly because it explains and solves the underlying cause of all our selfishness, anger and egocentricity. We suggest our FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

If this cannot move the rest of the mass of human beings to follow Jeremy’s theory what else can move in the inner core of our being hmmm (i am moved and woke)

Karim Niazy

Dear Dr Jeremy, Well done sir! Your explanation of the human condition is remarkably accurate. Yes inside each and every one of us two forces of good and evil battling to take control of the path we choose. I agree with the importance of nurturing our children with unconditional love, as being “the” key to shaping their behaviour as adults. Unconditional love for our children is “the” key to the salvation of humanity but what does it really mean. I presume you must agree that “unconditional love” does not stop at hugs and kisses and extends to include guidance and mentorship for the child, as he or she grows into puberty and adulthood, to become a free soul capable to evaluating situation and eventually making the right choices between good and evil. At this point who is to say and what is good or evil? what is the yard stick to be used for measuring this all important yet extremely relative and uniquely personal judgement? I agree humans are born with this instinctive ability to pass these judgements yet humanity have strayed the path. If we are to seek world transformation then we must have universal rules to guide us all in identify right and wrong, good and bad, virtuous and evil, a reference point “if you will” for a definition and common understanding. Admittedly a great deal of time and a lot of energy has been invested to produce this enlightening work which alongside your valuable. However and here is where I beg to differ, theology and religion were side-lined in this all important discussion. While I am certain you are not preaching religion, your work woukd be mistaken for the teaching of the true Islam and I would go further to add that you have just rediscovered Islam! This is why I started my message to you by saying “well done sir” and this is why I urge you to read the Quran and expand your knowledge of the teachings of that religion which would most certainly compliment the world transformation movement into what it should really become.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your consideration and feedback Karim. Jeremy Griffith explains all humans are born with all-loving, moral instincts but we now suffer from a universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. We became psychologically upset and alienated from our original selfless state because of our conscious mind’s necessary, and indeed heroic, search for knowledge. Yes Jeremy does recognise the critical importance of nurturing but most importantly he explains why our ability to nurture has become so compromised. And most wonderfully, the redeeming explanation of the human condition allows us to reconcile the conflict between our instinct and intellect and return to a loving nurturing state. It is only the defence of our ‘dark side’, through finding the good reason that we had to defy our instincts, that would allow us to act with love and compassion, because only now are all our defensive upset behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defence for why we had to defy our instincts.     THE Interview is only a summary presentation but Jeremy does explain “all our religions and most of our mythologies have recognised the basic conflict within us—that the emergence of ‘consciousness’ caused our ‘Fall’ from ‘innocence’” and that while religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. You may find FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology why are there religious references’ of interest as it explains the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so naturally in explaining the human condition religious references will be used, and through scientific explanation, finally demystified and reconciled. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM, and why it is so transformative.

Joseph faamuli

Very interesting and innovative content.

Fernando Lanzer

How is this different from Freud’s theory of the human psyche?

WTM Admin

In his definitive presentation of this understanding, FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, and other works, Jeremy Griffith acknowledges psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud’s courageous recognition that humans carry negative, repressed elements of our personality, a ‘repressed unconscious’. However, beyond that, there is very little similarity between Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition and Freud’s thinking. Freud believed that the ‘ID’, our unconscious, instinctive mind, contained primitive selfish ‘savage’ urges that the conscious mind or ‘ego’ has to control, whereas Jeremy has now explained that our instinctive self is completely loving and cooperative, and that our aggressive and selfish behaviour is psychological in origin, the result of a clash between our instincts and intellect. Freud also believed that our morals are learnt and held by the superego, whereas Jeremy has now explained that they are the expression of our loving, cooperative moral soul or instincts. By starting from the false basis that we have ‘savage instincts’ that the ego had to control and mediate meant that Freud was not able to explain the ultimate source of human’s psychosis. To heal this universal psychosis we needed to answer the essential question of why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? It is this question of questions that Jeremy has solved and what is unique about his work. We finally have the ultimate scientific defence for our psychosis, which is the key element in providing true therapy to all humans.     As the distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen (who wrote the Introduction to FREEDOM) said: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin” (see FAQ 1.34). Jeremy writes more about the real therapy of the human condition that now becomes possible in his forthcoming Freedom Essay 64 (an outline of which is here on our website).

Dr A van der Westhuizen

This gentleman has nothing new to offer: he is simply taking the unscientific, antequated falacies of Darvinism further.

WTM Admin

We recommend our FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’, as it explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

Gayle Brady

I myself have struggled with this issue of the human condition all of my life. Not in denial but in not knowing why I attracted so many angry people in denial. That was the first lie I was taught as child, that it was my fault they were angry. Even at a very early age. Before I ever heard Jeromy use this termhuman condition, I used it by observation. I come from a very selfish and narcissistic family who all but one member appeared to be so normal by people outside of my home. They did a lot of damage to other people’s lives without any apologies or responsibility. The denial only got deeper in them. Until I was to be the second child in the United States to be legally immancipated from my parents in 1974. My experiences made me very aware and concious of the depths parents and family could go to remain in denial.

I am so relieved that Jeromy has been able to put a complete and clear description of the human condition into the world for all to know and understand that we were never intended to be this way even though I believe it was inevitable. God said over and over again in the Bible, “Do not fear” for fear alone is our enemy. It puts up walls instantly, that can be seemingly unpenatrable. It is fear that the enemy brings to keep us in denial, trapped, hopeless, and separates us so that we can not learn the truth. God said that the truth would set us free. He created all truth, but it is up to each of us individually to find his truth of his. Jeromy Griffith has opened up that truth if we will only be willing to listen with open minds and hearts, we can learn how to free ourselves from the snare of lies that have kept our minds and hearts captive for alĺ of our lives for generations. It doesn’t cost you anything to listen. It might hurt a bit at first because of the human condition we are driven by ego, but it will all be worth it as your mind and heart begins to heal and lets go of those chains that bind us to the lies the world tells us everyday.

WTM Admin

What a deeply moving and appreciative comment Gayle. The human condition has certainly been such a deeply, deeply tragic journey full of so much unthinkable pain and suffering, especially for children, and to now be able to understand it all and place it in this true and honest denial-free framework of knowledge certainly does bring immense relief, so we are very thankful you have found this understanding. As Jeremy Griffith explains once we became fully conscious the human condition was inevitable as you say but what is so significant about his explanation is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can understand humans’ psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. We can know what happened to us as infants was not because we weren’t good enough or that we were unlovable but rather it was the result of the human condition. So we can bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us (as our FAQ 1.19 explains). Your wonderful description of how we can free our hearts and minds from being held captive reminds one of Plato’s cave allegory which Jeremy refers to at the end of THE Interview saying: “A new human-condition-resolved, cooperative, selfless and loving world now emerges. Light comes streaming into the dark cave-like world of denial that we have been living in, and it will all be like waking up from a nightmare!” Also, it is very special you see that Jeremy’s work “opens up” the truth in the Bible and we are sure you will find our FAQs about religion most interesting as they explain Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity, or the Bible’s content, it simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts.

marvellous, u left me speechless

Sulaiman Olanrewaju Adebayo

Fresh insight of the human psychological condition and a pragmatic explanation of human pains that draws a parallel between the biblical myth of Adam and Eve disobeying God and therefore becoming evil and the biological explanation of the psychological condition of humans departing from the force of their instinct and following their freewill and the consequent attempt to explain their departure. Ingrained in this is the hope that it raises in finding solution to human problems.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your appreciative comment Sulaiman. Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition brings biological understanding to religious accounts of our condition, which means we can at last reconcile science and religion. Using the story of Adam and Eve (which is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’) significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or disobedient; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition — it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. We suggest you watch The Great Guilt where Jeremy gives a more detailed description of how The Great Burden Of Guilt has finally been lifted from the human race and how that transforms the world! Juje

What a shame ... I was really interested to hear what this Biologist/Anthropologist had to say on the Human Condition, but he lost me when he mentioned ‘Our Ape Ancestors’. Plus, I know plenty of folk who don’t have the aggressive ‘me first’ attitude he mentions and I have experienced first hand, community builders and empaths who have a phenomenal understanding of how to treat one another, from fellow human beings right down to the smallest insect. Where we were once part of group consciousness and were part of a ‘tribe’, we are now being asked to each grow individually with ever increasing and evolving consciousness, to act ‘in the greater good’ out of selfless deeds but not to the detriment of ourselves. It is a fine balance.

WTM Admin

We respect people’s differing opinions Juje and thank you for your comment. We maintain that only by solving the human condition can we stop the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look. We need to deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it and that is what biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview.     We did want to clarify Jeremy is not saying humans “have the aggressive ‘me first’ attitude”. Rather he explains all humans are born with loving “empathetic” instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the unavoidable clash between these cooperative instincts and our emerging conscious mind. This psychosis manifests in angry, egocentric and alienated or ‘upset’ behaviour. Further without this defence for our upset behaviour we have sought to falsely blame our behaviour on savage or ‘me first’ instincts within us. Also, the ‘multi-level selection’ theory, which claims we have loving instincts for interactions within the group, and aggressive instincts for interactions outside the group, is a variant of this ‘savage instincts’ excuse, which Jeremy debunks in chapter 2.11 of his book FREEDOM. We suggest that with the true defence for our behaviour established, it is now possible to consider that there is clear evidence that humans developed from a cooperative and loving ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model; the fossil evidence for this cooperative past is presented in chapter 5:5 of FREEDOM.

I feel very honoured and grateful that I found this interview. Insightful and heartwarming. I have always regarded myself as a lost soul. Knowing that this is not who I am. If that makes sense. Thank you for the insights.

Science has moved on from Darwinism. Cooperating in tribes forced us to become cooperation. Cooperation is the most powerful tactic in the natural world, but also why we are so hostile to others outside ‘our’ tribe.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition explains that we became psychologically upset sufferers of the angry, egocentric and alienated human condition as the unavoidable result of a clash between our pre-established instincts and emerging conscious mind. Jeremy explains in THE Interview that without this defence for our upset state we have sought to falsely blame our behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us. The ‘multi-level selection’ theory, which claims we have loving instincts for interactions within the group, and aggressive instincts for interactions outside the group, is a variant of this ‘savage instincts’ excuse, and is debunked in chapter 2.11 of FREEDOM. We suggest that with this true defence for our behaviour established, it is now possible to consider that there is clear evidence that humans developed from a cooperative and loving ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model; you can read about the fossil evidence for this cooperative past in chapter 5:5 of FREEDOM.

Milka Wahu Kuria

Very interesting and intriguing perspective. I particularly like the explanation from the religious stories of the innocent beginning

WTM Admin

Yes, with our present corrupted condition now defended we can afford to admit that our species does have an “innocent beginning”, which is what religions and myths have recorded. For example, we can now see that the Biblical story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’.

Whatever goes on your unconcious mind controls the life forming process

WTM Admin

As Jeremy explains in The Interview, while we couldn’t explain our corrupted, psychologically upset condition, we’ve had to live in denial of it, and so it is true that every human has a massive insecurity in their ‘unconscious mind’ regarding their fundamental worth and that this unconscious insecurity ‘sets the agenda’ for how we approach life. As is made clear in FAQ 1.33, “Throughout our 2 million year journey to find the truthful redeeming understanding of our corrupted condition, defensive denial—along with defensively attacking any criticism of our corrupted condition, and defensively finding ways to artificially make ourselves feel good about ourselves—is what made that journey possible.”

Henk van Campen

I finally found the solution of most conflicts in the world. Like in every science, it is important to know the root before we can handle. And so it is in psychology. And now we can work on the solution, with the goal to save the world, because we are taught about the root.

WTM Admin

Yes Henk, we had to get to the root of the problem to solve it! As the distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen (who wrote the Introduction to Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM) said: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. The premise of this book is awesome. The great migration. All real anthropologists Know humanity started in Africa. Race is one big great lie. The garden Eden is Africa. Anthropology knows the origins man and women. Out 0f Africa then we moved throughout the world.

WTM Admin

Yes it is true that all of humanity has one source, but perhaps more importantly, all humanity suffers from the one ‘human condition’, an immense guilt and shame for having corrupted our original instinctive self or soul. The wonderful news is that understanding why we had to defy our instincts removes the guilt and associated defensive reactions that are the source of our anger, egocentricity and alienation.

Raymond Search

This is merely an attempt to repackage Christian truth in scientific language. Evolution is bad theory. We are devolving, not evolving (read Genetic Entropy by geneticist Dr. John C. Sanford). Lastly, we are loving and benevolent because we are spiritual beings created in God’s image. God is Love; Jesus is God; only Jesus can Save. Science is NOT the messiah. What’s to stop the billionaire apes from being financially benevolent to their own genetic offspring at the expense of hundreds of millions of others?

Georgia T

AbSOULutely Amazing! It has been written and now Jeremy Griffith explains it what the Christ Consciousness realised and revealed it through LOVE.💜

WTM Admin

Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity, or the Bible’s content, it simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. Our FAQs about religion may be of interest.

Jo

Omg!!! Jeremy describes how loving, nuturing, kindness being present in everyone - would help to promote a kinder society for all.

WTM Admin

Most importantly, Jeremy explains why we haven’t been loving, nurturing and kind. It is only the defence of our ‘dark side’, through finding the good reason that we had to defy our instincts, that would allow us to act with love and compassion, because only now are all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defence for why we had to defy our instincts.

Eric Lewis Richardson JR.

I would like to start by thanking for the attempt & effort to solve the “human Condition”. I also think that it is a topic that all rational thinkers of the modern era can relate with as we try to cope with the Madness that surrounds us in “order out of chaos” world period as we sacrifice our selves for an unknown “common good” of society and the new divinity, the gods of the welfare state.

Marianne Holloway

Somehow I have known intuitively, but did not understand that I was seeking validation. This was very insightful.

WTM Admin

Thanks for the feedback Marianne. You might be interested in our FAQ 1.34 in which Professor Prosen writes, “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. Mary Noel

This information is really transformative! I can see that the alleged ‘legends’ in sacred scriptures are actually imparting the same information, but using the medium of story-telling. Fascinating!

WTM Admin

Yes! While legends and myths contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view.

Devon Morgan

Wow!, this is mind blowing, I am amazed.

Steve Hickmore

I feel enlightened already. There IS hope for humanity!

Guy

Finding this information is so great. It truly relieves the body and things of such great weight to understand the true Human Condition and not have a burden of guilt on you constantly.

Susanne Borner

Very interesting. Addresses the problem of US from a different direction. The Ego was meant to help US survive. Now Ego tool has overtaken. WE are blocking Off information from the INSIDE with the birth of the human conscious mind.

Diane

We are sitting on a powder keg that is waiting to explode especially where race relations is concerned. I think that all of man kind need to hear this but particularly and especially the WHITE man who really need to hear this, understand this and implement what is being finally understood by science. BLACK people are totally fed up with and tired of the way we have been and continue to be treated in this diabolical, wicked and racist system that has existed for over four hundred years under the current white rule that is so unfair and unjust!!! This has to come to an end soon or there will be a blood bath and all of mankind will suffer because BLACKS are tired of suffering under this racist system! This is a plea to our white brothers and sisters to stop 🛑 being the way you have been and change your ways so that all of mankind can live in peace, love and harmony!!!

WTM Admin

At last we can understand that there are more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups), and there are races that have been more exposed to the battle than others. More sheltered races have more affinity with our instinctive soulful, cooperative way of living and nature, while those who have been in the battle longer are more psychologically embattled and thus egocentric and alienated. However, most significantly, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism, and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molosiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Darren Lowry

I’m finding the discussion on this most important topic extremely fascinating. I wish I’d have heard about this much sooner. Better late than never. Thank you Sir for your incredible research🙏🏽

John E. Hoogacker

Can this happen by snapping our fingers?

WTM Admin

As Part 4 of THE Interview explains, it will take generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but importantly we can be immediately free of its affects. At last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. How this healing is immediately open to us all is further explained in Freedom Essay 15 ‘How our lives can be immediately transformed’ and the Transformation section of our website is brimming with invaluable insight and personal affirmations.

Sorry your explanation is totally offline. The problem with the human condition is the fall of human nature. Sin is the root of the problem. No psychological explanation will solve the problem

William Gower

I was very skeptical, stopping here and listening to this. While I remain unconvinced there is only ONE reason behind the human condition, this provided tremendous insight and perspective of what very much appears to have been the primary impetus to our downfall and present potentially perilous collective oppression and madness.

WTM Admin

Fair comment William. This does represent a huge paradigm shift, and so it can take some time to absorb, but we suggest that the more you digest the instinct vs intellect explanation, the more accountable you will realise the suggestion is that it is actually the source of all our ills, despite the myriad of ways those problems now present themselves. And most importantly, understanding this ‘macro’ source of our “collective oppression and madness” does allow it to heal. As Professor Prosen said, “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of.”

Interesting thank you very much 🥰

Porshia Mitchell

I was not taught that!

WTM Admin

No, we haven’t been taught the explanation of the human condition because, as Jeremy explains in Part 2 of THE Interview, “while it has been recognised—even from ancient times—that the emergence of our conscious mind somehow caused us to ‘fall from grace’, or however you want to describe the corruption of our original innocent cooperative, selfless and loving instinctive state, it wasn’t until science revealed the difference between the gene-based and nerve-based learning systems—which is that genes can orientate but nerves need to understand—that we were finally in a position to explain the good reason for our angry, egocentric and alienated human condition...we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it.”

Eric Osa Laate

Wonderful revelation! Great work done.

Kris Sprague

The truth will set you free. If only we could spread this nation wide and was adopted the world would be a much better place to cohabitate in then at present.

Narendra D.

Listened to the full interview carefully. It is absolutely changing the fundamental understanding towards Human Nature and behaviour. These facts must be included in appreciative syllabus of schools, colleges, management institutes and all main stream institutes which are influential in shaping the human understanding about the world and other humans. This scientific understanding should be translated in to every major aspect of Human civilization and habitat. Economics, industry, development, ethics, moral science, psychology, medicine and governance. Hearty congratulations and thanks to Mr Craig and Mr Jeremy for introducing us to the fundamental aspects in such simple language. Looking forward to hearing more on this basic subject.

Ken Shaddock

Wonderful work in this so important area. My thought was when a scientific breakthrough is revealed and does not attract the contrast with blasphemy, as was mentioned, where each scientific breakthrough is blasphemous has been the case so far, the world will have got it. Like you say in a comment below, “When they converge, (science and the religion) as they must, both working together”, I see you will have got there. Not yet though.

WTM Admin

Yes, as Jeremy explains in Part 2 of THE Interview, “confronting the human condition when everyone has been living in fearful denial of it, even though it has finally been explained and made safe to confront, represents the biggest of all ‘blasphemies’.” So the human condition is a very difficult arena to open up, but as momentum continues to grow, everyone, including mainstream science, will realise it is actually safe and will embrace this liberating understanding.

Cassandra D.

I enjoyed it. Great facts and information. Thank you.

It’s the best

Smart Mker

Wow, wow, wow. Most of my everyday questions have just been answered here.

David Brigden

There is no meaning to life! You can choose to be an ass... or a saint, one cannot exist without the other. My take is that, if you get to the end of it and made someone happy, not pissed too many people off, created or done something meaningful with the time you were given. Your parents didn’t waste their time and effort. That would be enough for me

WTM Admin

We would like to suggest David that until we could solve the human condition we did have to live in denial that there was any meaning to life and bravely get on with life as best we could. As THE Interview mentions Jeremy Griffith’s treatise explains, from first principle biology, that the nature or meaning of life is integration or order (see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the integrative meaning of life’) but how could we entertain that when we are so out of order with the world. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. With that core mystery and problem about human behaviour explained, an avalanche of other answers also finally become accessible. Questions like: What is love? – What is soul? – What is conscience? – What is consciousness? What is good vs evil? – Is there a God? – Why do people lie? – Why do we Fall in Love? People may like to explore an earlier book by Jeremy titled The Book Of Real Answers To Everything! which answers these and many other questions.     And beyond that we’d just add that the more one digests this explanation of the human condition the more they start to realise that the decisions we each make in our lives i.e. whether to be an “ass… or a saint” are actually a result of the human condition. A person’s frame of reference for how to behave depends on their particular exposure to the human condition because it determines how needing of reinforcement each person is, which then determines just how egocentric or ruthless or compassionate etc we each are in our lives, see our FAQ 4.2 How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?

An amazing discovery! Thank you!!

John kuma

He is a great scholar of our time. He simplified the biblical teaching recorded in Gen 1:24-27 on the Dignity of the Human Person.

WTM Admin

Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition brings biological understanding to religious accounts of our condition, which means we can at last reconcile science and religion. For instance, as THE Interview explains, humans originally lived in a state of cooperative and loving innocence – we were, as Genesis 1:27 states, created in the image of ‘God’. You might be interested in our FAQs about religion, especially 6.2 ‘What is God’ and 6.3 ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

Andrew Levy

I thought b you had something significant to say until you mentioned adam and eve. Can’t take you seriously sadly.

WTM Admin

We respect people’s differing opinions Andrew but for the readers of these comments we thought it helpful to include our FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology why are there religious references’. This explains the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so naturally in explaining the human condition religious references will be used, and through scientific explanation, finally demystified and reconciled. The acclaimed physicist Charles H. Townes summed up this ultimate reconciliation of science and religion best when he wrote, “they [science and religion] both represent man’s efforts to understand his universe and must ultimately be dealing with the same substance. As we understand more in each realm, the two must grow together…converge they must.”

It’s enlightening and empowering!

Michael A Bisutti

When we achieved consciousness the bad behavior humans give in to is a choice. Freewill says there’s s dynamic between evil, meanness, aggressiveness, competitiveness egocentric behaviors, and the choice to foster and live with an internal morality and loving, benevolent, inclusive and cooperative behavior. This dynamic is a battleground that exists in all conscious humans. It’s a choice that can go either way depending on living circumstanses, environment, education and family. We, the moral, kind and loving people are in a world where the evil people dominate and will, almost never, come to the side of light and loving. My hope is that humans on this beautiful side of light prevail but I am not optomistic.

Ernest G. Tannis

This mind-blowing interview by both the interviewer and Jeremy, the interview came miraculously to my attention “just in the nick of time” as this thinking gives an assuring context for a journey my heart took me on since 1985.to.search what Jesus meant by mediation, leaving a lucrative law practice, so, thanks to.this interview, I now have a fundamental understanding of ‘lights on’ and replenished hope to this global journey just a week.before the Ottawa, Canada book launch of the 2022 second ed.of my 3rd. Book: “Is Everyone at the Table? 18 Life Lessons in Problem Solving”. May I please send you each of you an author’s complimentary copy as a thank you and perhaps gain guidance. Indeed, this interview gave new life to: “Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is Love”. Amen. Inshallah.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s whole thesis is about the power of free-will, and the cost of making conscious decisions that are not in accord with our instinctive expectations. It is explained that our pre-established instinctive self ‘in-effect’ criticised the conscious mind for these experiments in self-management, causing the conscious mind to become insecure and eventually defensive – it became angry, egocentric and alienated. Certainly there are still choices to make once we became angry, egocentric and alienated; for example, how much do we live out our upset and try to dominate other people?? But the more you digest this understanding, the more you understand that the answer to how individuals respond to their own psychologically upset state, their ‘moral compass’ as it were, is itself a product of their own encounter with the human condition. The fundamental truth is that we were all born innocent, but our choices and behaviour in later life are all determined by our encounter with the human condition. Importantly, as FAQ 1.38 explains, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction evil, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it.

Transforming inspiring very logical . must listen by all . my advice is drop what ur doing and take this in. its a good different view on what we seem to know ! big love ❤️

Anthony Campbell

Thank you for the opportunity to listen to the interview. It was intriguing and reassuring in so many ways. The constant battle to understand ourselves and the world around us has been a burden to heavy for any individual to carry however the foundation of this thinking allows us through understanding to go forward with a truer belief in ourselves and ultimately the ability to act selflessly with cooperation and honest intent in our actions. I hope that more people can get to hear this and initiate a self awareness that connects us in a real way and not through disposable materialism. I have always lived in hope seeking a sense of love and togetherness listening to this has helped my belief in humanity.

The guilt that everyone is made to feel is the cause of every division in society. There is no doubt that THE interview requires complete denial of any ‘god’ or religion as a means of achieving community, but acceptance of science. I have got this far, and accept that global altruism and co-operation is the only way our human race will survive, by my own efforts, but we are once again plagued by divisive evil leaders. Is Marx right - do we need to rise up? And how do we prevent another Mao or Stalin?

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Ian. Yes the guilt everyone feels is the ultimate source of our divisive behaviour but the critical question is what causes such guilt and this is what Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview and further in its companion presentation The Great Guilt. At last we can understand the immense guilt and shame we humans have had to carry comes from us having to corrupt our original instinctive self or soul in order to find knowledge.     It is incorrect to say this understanding “requires complete denial of any ‘god’ or religion as a means of achieving community, but acceptance of science”. Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life, see our FAQs about religion.     Only solving the human condition can stop the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere we look and bring about the global altruism and cooperation you speak of. We can now understand the source of all humanity’s psychological upset, which in the extreme, produces psychopathic behaviour. By explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to legitimately return to a loving state.     The following FAQs are most relevant to your comment: FAQ 1.6 ‘Why understanding the human condition solves everything; FAQ 4.2 ’Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’; FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ and FAQ 7.3 which deals with socialism and communism and Marxist thought in greater detail.

Ann Chan

I find when we drop our guards and look at it with an open mind in the interest of finding the truth we can consider the reality of our situations.

WTM Admin

Yes, that’s very true Ann but the pivotal question is WHY do we have our guard up in the first place and astonishingly this is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise answers! He explains the human condition has been the most unbearably depressing and terrifying of subjects to face — why are we capable of such contradictory behaviour as to be selfless and loving but also selfish and destructive? Until that question could be answered, which it has in THE Interview, we have lived with a feeling of unworthiness, insecurity, shame and guilt and, necessarily, to “guard” ourselves we’ve lived in almost total denial, closed our minds, to the entire subject of the human condition.     As Jeremy explains while we humans couldn’t defend our upset corrupted state, we couldn’t afford to admit we were upset. Thankfully now our upset state is explained and defended, we can safely re-connect with the human condition in ourselves and the world and bring love and forgiveness to our dark side because we can understand that becoming corrupt was an immensely heroic state, not a shameful one. We can finally look at the human condition “with an open mind in the interest of finding the truth” and “consider the reality of our situation”.     So yes we do need to “drop our guard” to be able to access this truth and this is why Jeremy has produced a companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect which comprehensively deals with our understandably defensive and cynical mindset when it comes to discussion of the human condition. It includes examples of people overcoming the deaf effect and it is an absolutely revealing and fascinating presentation so don’t miss it! Click HERE to watch it on our website!
