At last, puzzle resolved. Our ancestors knew this but could not articulate it.
WTM Admin
Yes, throughout history, humanity has had an intimation of the source of the human condition, and the great hope, faith and trust has always been that one day the explanation of the human condition would finally be found, freeing humans at last from our psychologically troubled angry, egocentric and alienated existence. And, as incredible as it is, through the advances that have been made in science, that is what biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview!

Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we are so ‘egocentric’. Why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here and his book FREEDOM. As Part 4 of THE Interview explains until now leaving or transcending our competitiveness and just imposing cooperative behaviour wasn’t the solution. To quote “These movements were pseudo idealistic movements that stifled and oppressed the search for the understanding of our corrupted condition that was needed to actually free us from that state. They were regressive, not progressive”. This critical difference is further deal with in FAQ 6.5 ‘Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?’

This has to be the most enlightening interview I have ever heard. It provides outstanding hope for our world.
White people are essentially the problem on our planet. They make up less than 8'% and cause 90% of the problem. They are racist , violent, greedy just simply examine their record. Now they are professing to know all the answers. Trust them at your enduring peril.
WTM Admin
What is explained in THE Interview is that the longer an individual human, or even a ‘race’ (ethnic group) of humans, was exposed to the great battle that humanity has been heroically waging against ignorance, the more they would suffer from the upset state of the angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. While it is true that some European ‘races’ have been more exposed to the battle than some other ‘races’, it is not correct to say that the human condition is a European condition – all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are, therefore, nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. We recommend you read Freedom Essay 28: The end of racism.
Importantly, in Addendum 2 of his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy explains why the Judeo-Christian Western culture, like the right-wing in politics, has been one of the main targets for rejection by the pseudo idealistic, politically correct, ‘woke’, identity politics, cancel culture movement — but that it has finally delivered the explanation of the human condition that the whole world has been so desperately waiting for.

Randie
Very exciting, hopefully I’ll be able to take it all in.
WTM Admin
The fundamental explanation is actually very simple Randie, however, as THE Interview explains, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can make it hard to understand all that is explained in one viewing (FAQ 1.16 explains this initial ‘deaf effect’). For those looking for a very brief summary of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept, please see our FAQ 1.3 'What is Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition'. We hope you persevere Randie because you will find that it makes perfect sense!

I heard about this interview and I was looking forward to the information within it however the gentleman seems to have been speaking to people who were PhDs or so how about us common people the regular everyday person I understood only a percentage of the conversation or interview perhaps he could rewrite it for us layman. !
WTM Admin
We appreciate your perseverence Mike and perhaps our FAQ 1.3 which briefly presents the explanation may be helpful. We suggest that the fundamental explanation is very simple and can be comprehended by anyone with a basic education, but, as explained in THE Interview, it does open up the historically off-limits subject of the human condition so people can initially struggle to access or ‘hear’ what is being explained. FAQ 1.16 further explains this initial ‘deaf effect’. Also, the presentation that follows THE Interview, titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect comprehensively deals with our understandable fear and cynicism about confronting the human condition. It includes examples of people overcoming the deaf effect and it is an astonishingly revealing presentation.

This new science produces a huge paradigm shift in our thinking which takes time to fully digest but the core premise of Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise is that ALL HUMANS ARE EQUALLY GOOD and equally heroic! We no longer have to just believe men and women are equal we can understand they are! To quote molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald from her commendation of Jeremy’s work: “because Griffith’s work establishes the equal worth or goodness of all humans we can now understand the different roles that men and women have traditionally played in the human journey and this is actually the unlocking point, this is what brings about deep empathy for each other, it heals the divide”, see Freedom Essay 9. And, as Jeremy says in concluding chapter 8:11B of his book FREEDOM, “With understanding of the human condition now found, men and women can at last stand side by side—the ‘war of the sexes’ can finally be resolved. Yes, the human journey can have the happy ending we always hoped it would.”

This was wonderful to listen to. The comparison of our ancestors the Bonobo to how to live loving and peaceful was delightful

I may have missed this part but still want to ask: What happened to cause man/woman to become psychologically conscious? Thank you!
WTM Admin
No worries at all Liza - this does represent a complete paradigm shift, so there is a lot to take in, which is why we recommend repeated viewings/and or readings. With regard to why our distant ancestors became conscious, in Part 3 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains how consciousness developed as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process. He refers the viewer to chapter 7 of his definitive book FREEDOM which provides a comprehensive explanation — a summary of which is in FAQ 5.4.

I hope to understand this great idea and be able to see this world end all wars!
WTM Admin
It’s wonderful to have your interest Paula and yes with this breakthrough understanding of our condition we will be able to end all conflict and war. As biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview all human aggression and anger, in our individual lives right through to international conflicts, is ultimately an expression of our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. We suggest that as people digest Jeremy’s understanding of the human condition, they will see that the only way we could end our destructive behaviour, and legitimately return to the cooperative and loving state humanity once lived in and we all long for, was through removing the insecurity that was driving that divisive behaviour, which is what Jeremy’s explanation makes possible. After you watch THE Interview (the World Transformation Movement homepage) we suggest Freedom Essay 29 ‘Can human conflict ever be brought to an end’ which explains how explanation of the human condition can end all conflicts, including absolutely horrendous wars. Also our homepage guides you through all our material including our three other Introductory Videos — and everything is completely free! It also includes subscribing to our mailing list where you will receive one email per week and occasional News Flashes and joining our popular Facebook Group.

This is so life changing thank you for sharing ,!!!
Matthew Diah
Well, you made me to reflect my school days on the evolution. Thanks a lot
WTM Admin
It’s great to have your interest Matthew! Biologist Jeremy Griffith presents an entirely new framework of human-condition-confronting-and-solving, holistic science which means that at last we are able to look at evolution in an honest way which is very exciting. In his definitive book FREEDOMchapter 4:4 Jeremy explains the word ‘evolution’ needs to be replaced with the word ‘development’ for while evolution implies that organisms do change or evolve it avoids acknowledging that there is a direction and purpose to that change, which is to develop the order of matter – see Freedom Essay 21 ‘The truthful biology: the real story of the development of life, including humans’. We suggest that it is only now, with our apparently divisive condition understood and defended, that we can acknowledge that evolution is an integrative process. As distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen wrote in his Introduction to FREEDOM, “finding the biological explanation of the human condition has been ‘the holy grail’ of the whole Darwinian revolution, the central quest in our human journey of conscious thought and enquiry.”
Elizabeth Roe
Absolutely enlightening to finally hear the truth of what has happened to the decline of Mankind over so many centuries.
Thank you for all your knowledge.
Teofilo Aviles Jr
I believe that a person that acquires more money than a certain group loses empathy and morals. Which creates the downfall of a nation.
WTM Admin
Hi Teofilo, we suggest that now the human condition is explained we can understand our desire to acquire money, our loss of morality and empathy and the disintegration of societies are symptoms of the underlying, deep insecurity in humans caused by the human condition. As biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview, all humans are born with empathetic, moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. While it is true that due to their circumstances, some individuals or races have less exposure to the human condition than others, and are therefore less psychologically upset than others, by this stage of the human journey everyone suffers from the human condition. With Jeremy’s instinct v intellect explanation we can at last understand WHY as a species we corrupted our loving moral instincts — and with that understanding now available, everyone’s insecure, selfish and destructive behaviour is made redundant, and we can free ourselves from the human condition. See WTM FAQ 1.3 which presents a very brief summary of this key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.
Jonathan Oboh
The interview really help me understand everything
S. Kichler
What is your response to someone who doesn’t believe your explanation and continues to do bad things. Do you think we can all quiet our conscience and forget the bad things we’ve done because of your explanation that we aren’t bad, we’re actually good? Does that make the bad things good?
WTM Admin
As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it may take time for people to realise how immensely relieving and psychologically healing our ability to now understand the human condition is but once this catches on — through people recognising the power and importance of it — and others see the infectious enthusiasm and selfless love it liberates everyone will want it so it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening (see our homepage for all the ecstatic responses to THE Interview, scientific commendations and over 80 WTM Centres globally)! As Video/Freedom Essay 5 ‘The transformation of the human race!!’ explains: “Really, the transformation of the world is already a fait accompli, a certainty—sure, it will take a little time to get started, but what will win the day is logic. Humans are thinking, rational beings so when all the logic points in one direction then there is really no choice but for every single human to take that path, and eventually they will. It will be slow for a start because humans hate and resist change, but nonetheless change does happen when an idea’s time has come. As author Victor Hugo famously said, ‘An invasion of armies can be resisted but not an idea whose time has come’ (Histoire d’un crime, 1852).” Also our FAQ 1.38 ‘How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’ explains the signifcance of understanding our fundamental goodness as a species and stresses it doesn’t condone bad behaviour. To quote: “...what is so utterly exonerating and psychologically healing about our ability now to understand the human condition is that we can finally appreciate that there was a very good reason for our angry, egocentric and alienated lives ... At long last we have the reason for humans’ capacity for shocking acts of cruelty, sadism, hate, murder and warfare—we now know the source of the dark volcanic forces in us humans ... And with the ability now to explain and understand that all humans are good and not bad, all the upset that resulted from not being able to explain the source of our divisive condition is able to subside and disappear. Finding understanding of the human condition is what rehabilitates and transforms the human race from its psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated condition ... Importantly, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction ‘evil’, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ inevitable various degrees of psychological upset, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate all the psychological upset in us humans—and, in the short term, to transcend all that upset and take up a transformed life in complete support of a human-condition-free world.” And FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

Making us proud to be a human again.
Salve Delatado
Human nature is higher than animals because of reason/conscience.
WTM Admin
Hi Salve, we suggest you will find this interview most revealing because Jeremy Griffith explains, consciousness simply means being sufficiently aware of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding. Clearly while other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’, none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing fully conscious minds. It is also worth noting that Jeremy explains that developing consciousness depended on overcoming the competitive, selfish ‘animal condition’ and becoming orientated to selflessness, so if a species is still preoccupied with selfish, competitive dominance, as other animals are, they can’t become fully conscious. If you would like to explore this further we recommend our FAQ 5.4 ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’.
As well Jeremy explains in Part 3 of THE Interview how we acquired our conscience or moral instinctive self. To quote “...how we acquired our moral instincts has been one of the greatest mysteries in biology. The primatologist Richard Wrangham described it as ‘A question that has lain unsolved at the core of biology ever since Darwin’. And Darwin himself described it as the ‘one special difficulty’ with his concept of natural selection”. This is because in order to have an instinctive altruistic moral nature, it follows that our distant ape ancestors must have been cooperative and loving, not competitive and aggressive like other animals. But, since altruistic, unconditionally selfless genetic traits are self-eliminating, and therefore seemingly cannot develop in animals, that leaves the question of how could we humans have developed them? Jeremy explains in THE Interview, and in much greater detail in his definitive book FREEDOM, the answer was through nurturing or what he terms ‘love-indoctrination’. This is how we acquired our all-loving, moral instincts. As Jeremy says at the start of chapter 5 of FREEDOM, “Our moral instinctive self or soul, the ‘voice’ or expression of which is our conscience, is a truly amazing phenomenon, for it provided the cooperative, unconditionally selfless love that created humanity”! This understanding of love-indoctrination is astonishingly interesting and central to the unique significance of Jeremy’s work. It is summarised in FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?’

How will the world change back to what it was. There is a general belief that the world cannot achieve utopia, consequently how can we make that conscious effort to achieve what we assume albeit unconsciously that it not possible
WTM Admin
Hi Tokunbo, it is important to note that Jeremy Griffith’s work is not an idealistic plea for utopia or for everyone to just behave cooperatively, it is a biological defence of realism. You are right, until we could explain the human condition, everyone subconsciously knew that imposing an ideal state was just not realistic, and history bears this out. However, the human condition has now been solved, and we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. It was only the redeeming, reconciling and rehabilitating explanation of our selfish and divisive state that would ever allow us to legitimately put it aside and create the ‘utopia’ that has always been our species’ dream. You might be interested in FAQ 6.5 which explains the critical difference between Jeremy’s work and the New Age Movement.

This is the most amazing and important information I have ever received … in the 60’s we tried to make this information known. We didn’t receive much attention or interest and this idea was lost again. I hope that it will be seen as important as it will change “our” lives!
WTM Admin
Hi Virginia, thanks so much for your message. What has to be pointed out for people reading these comments is that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work, and makes it completely different to ‘idealistic’ movements such as the ‘flower power’ movement of the late 60's, is that it has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’.

Amanda done
Hi, iv listened to this interview twice, and i still don’t get it. So developing consciousness made us humans bad, evil, selfish etc??? What!!
WTM Admin
Hi Amanda, there is a lot to digest here, so please take your time. What is explained in THE Interview is that when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

Thank you all for your dedication to the healing of humanity.

Glen McQuillan
Well I have had a think about this, and I have to say, that none of us are born with hate. So where does that leave us? Well everything that we’ve done and picked up since birth, has gone on to make us all the people we are. We’ve taught ourselves to be this way. Glen McQuillan.
WTM Admin
Thanks for your consideration Glen. The central tenet of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and that the source of our aggression is a psychosis that has been compounding ever since the instinct and intellect clashed some 2 million years ago. All of which explains your observation that “none of us are born with hate.” As Jeremy Griffith explains in paragraph 73 of his book Death by Dogma, in addition to the psychological upset caused by the search for knowledge, “The second, and by far the greatest reason for the increase in upset that has occurred from generation to generation is the soul-destroying influence of the existing levels of upset in your society from all the upsetting searching for knowledge that has taken place before you arrived in the world. Each generation is born expecting to encounter the all-loving and all-sensitive world we humans originally lived in, and the more upset/soul-corrupted the world we actually encounter is, the more bewildered, hurt and damaged our soul became by that encounter…So growing up now in a world that is already horrendously upset means that by far the greatest reason for the upset in our lives is the effects of encountering all that upset when we were infants and children.”

We would all need to have therapy because we have evolved to survive in the world we have today which brings out our competitive nature we would need to be brain washed to change how we think and behave.
WTM Admin
Thanks for your thoughts Debbie. We suggest that rather than evolving “to survive in the world”, our species evolved completely loving and cooperative instincts; and our “competitive nature” is not instinctive, but actually the result of a psychosis, caused by the Instinct vs Intellect clash that is introduced in THE Interview. Certainly it will take generations to completely heal the human race, but now that we have the scientific explanation of the human condition everyone can - and will - change how they behave, because that old competitive and aggressive behaviour was the result of not having this explanation. Now that we do have it, it follows that that behaviour is made redundant. And the whole human race is actually desperately waiting for this transforming insight. As Jeremy says in Freedom Essay 15, it will take generations to completely heal the human race, but, “It is this particular undeniable consequence of the arrival of understanding of the human condition of the transformation of our lives from living selfishly and competitively to living selflessly and cooperatively that is going to eventually catch on as being the right response now for everyone and when it does, it will spread like wildfire across our planet, and save the world. And it is not a revolution that involves warfare and bloodshed like so many revolutions in the past, but a peaceful revolution that is driven by irrefutable knowledge/understanding. We humans are conscious beings and what consciousness needs is understanding, and now we have it. Ultimately, we humans respond to knowledge—anything less was bound to be ineffective. This is the real and lasting transformation that the human race has lived in hope, faith and trust would one day occur. It is the revolution of our minds.”

Sounds like he’s stolen everything from Buddhism. And, much as I love Buddhism, they sure have not changed the world! Some have become conscious beings, enlightened. But.. fascists rule the world and are doing very well and growing rapidly. And they are not going to be interested in this stuff. They are not riding this train and they will not be riding this train ever. What you going to do about that? Transform yourself for sure, but this over the top claim that this is world changing is just so much BS. The Buddhists having been on this road for centuries. This seems to be a rather typical new age hodge podge from various philosophies and philosophers.

What will become clear to you is that while Buddhism (and other religions) contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.

I loved it
Toni Anderson
Very good insight of the human condition. Surprisingly I have been in search mentally of how we resolve this state of existence among humans that are in control. Thanks for sharing.
WTM Admin
Thanks Toni. If we understood you correctly, it is important to point out that, as THE Interview explains, all humans suffer from the universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect, not just “those in control”. Certainly, some people are more ‘upset’ than others, and therefore can be more destructive than others, but the truth is that as a species, we became angry, egocentric and alienated, or in a word ‘upset’, so all humans, to varying degrees, suffer from the human condition.

WTM Admin
We welcome your interest Heiko and that must have been a wonderful celebration! THE Interview is freely available to watch, read, listen to or download at the top of our homepage. You may be interested to read our reply to Sangay (directly below) which explains that while Buddhism and other religions certainly contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish and that is what biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview. Jeremy’s work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God, or religion. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. So although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life; see FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’. We also recommend FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine a faith in religion or God?’ as it includes this comment by the Dalai Lama: “In the following comment, the Dalai Lama acknowledges that the peace religions long for cannot come about through ‘religious faith’, but only through a ‘universal solution’: ‘The Dalai Lama believes secular ethics, not religion, is best placed to assist the “moral crisis” facing the world’s people…[because it] respected all traditional faiths as well as non-believers. “Some people—some my friends—believe moral ethics must be based on religious faith,” he said. [But] “No matter how wonderful a religion, (it will) never be universal. The crisis is universal—now the remedy must also be universal”’ (The Australian, 14 Jun. 2013).” We very much hope you enjoy watching THE Interview Heiko!

Quite similar to buddhist philosophy...

Just amazing
Floyd
I’m not even sure what the message was here. I didnt hear anything new or revolutionary or any way to solve the world’s problems. Just a lot of blabbing about nothing. WHAT WAS THE POINT...?
WTM Admin
Hi Floyd, we suggest that what is unique about biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here in THE Interview. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ and Video/Freedom Essay 4 which expands further on other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition.
Also, while great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1) THE Interview also explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Then, not knowing why we can’t take in what’s being written, we blame the presentation, believe it’s badly written or is repetitive or needs summarising. Wonderfully however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! See our FAQ 1.16 which includes the question ‘please send me an executive summary so I have some idea of what you’re trying to say?’.
Our FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept prsented here. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established cooperative instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric – the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition! So it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough as the many commendations Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thinkers attest.

Dominance
WTM Admin
Hi Daniel, as is explained in Part 1 of THE Interview, humans’ divisive behaviour is not a product of unchangeable animal instincts competing for dominance, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by a clash between our instincts and intellect, and significantly since a psychosis can be healed with understanding, human behaviour is not unchangeable or immutable — a revelation that transforms the human race! As well as watching THE Interview you can read more about this critical new science in Jeremy Griffith’s Freedom Essay 2Debunking the ‘savage instincts’ excuse for human behaviour.

Very interesting. I always wondered that there was more to humans and human life and why people are the way they are.
WTM Admin
Yes Janet it is so very interesting being able to at last understand why we are the way we are and the best news is we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole human story! This explanation of the human condition establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition — it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!

Ram ramesh
This is very much similar to the Bhagavad Gita teachings.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Ram. Religions have been a repository of truth during humanity’s long corrupting search to find knowledge but importantly, as is explained in THE Interview, while religious accounts may describe our condition ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for it. Specifically why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 which explains it was only through finding the rational, accountable, scientific understanding of our condition that we could finally bring peace to it. In fact, what people discover is that this represents a fulfilment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves: see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.
Also Jeremy’s Video/Freedom Essay 53 expands on thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who, while they could not explain it, did recognise the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition. It includes the following passage about human’s original ‘golden age’ of instinctive innocence from the Mahabharata (of which the Bhagavad Gita is a part): ‘The Hindus of the Brahmanic period preserved the following in the Mahābharata: “The Krita Yuga was so named because there was but one religion, and all men were saintly; therefore they were not required to perform religious ceremonies. Holiness never grew less, and the people did not decrease. There were no gods in the Krita Yuga, and there were no demons… Men neither bought nor sold; there were no poor and no rich; there was no need to labor, because all that men required was obtained by the power of will; the chief virtue was the abandonment of desires… In those times, men lived as long as they chose to live, and were without any fear of Yima (the god of Death)… Being all like gods, they ascended to the sky and returned at will… Self-subdued and free from envy, they beheld the gods and the mighty prophets, and had a clear perception of all duties.” ...And in the Vaya Purāna it is written: “They were characterized neither by righteousness nor unrighteousness…they moved about at will and lived in continual delight.”’

This is meaningful.
Samson Johnson
The human condition encompasses the complexities. Mysteries and experience that define human existence. It includes
1 emotion joy. Sorrow. Love. Fear hope.
2 consciousness. Self. Awareness. Thought and perception.
3 relationship. Connection. Community. And interaction.
4 mortality. Facing death. Impermanence. And the unknown. 5 search for meaning. Purpose. Identity and significance.
6 struggle. Challenges. Conflict resilience. The human condition is a shape by individual perspective. Culture. And experience. Making it diverse and multifaceted.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Samson. Since what is being introduced is a new scientific paradigm, based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition, it does take time to see the deeper universal cause of the “complexities” or “mysteries” of human existence is the human condition rather than our life experiences or our culture. Our replies to Jo and Rand (directly below) are relevant to your thoughts so you might find them helpful to read.
Jo russo
Its all conscious chosen behavior
WTM Admin
Hi Jo, now we can explain the human condition we can look deeper into what is driving our choices and behaviour! As is discussed in THE Interview, the essential question of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition is paramount and desperately needs to be confronted and answered. This is what biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work does — it scientifically answers the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish, so much so that we are destroying ourselves and our world. You may find FAQ 1.5 helpful as it explains how this explanation transforms our behaviour. To quote: “...biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition gives you the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour in yourself and in everyone else with 100% clarity and confidence. The explanation will change how you view humans, and most importantly yourself, literally overnight—and your behaviour will change naturally as a result, and just as quickly...”

Just what I’ve been searching for for 71 years!
At last, puzzle resolved. Our ancestors knew this but could not articulate it.
Een eyeopener veel valt op z,nplaats [An eye-opener, much falls into place (tr. from Dutch)]
What a gift! This epiphany justifies my lifelong confusion ad to why we were born with original sin and needed to be baptized to find salvation. It made no sense. I will buy the book for all my descendants. Thank you.
Looking forward to reading the book
Very Interesting! I would like to read the book!!
This revelation just comes right on time. It is exactly the moment when things become unbearable ENOUGH to decide that we are going BACK and towards that TRUTH Finally !
Yes we have to let go of the EGOs,once we do that ,we can start anew
Just wow 🤩
I’ve listened to this Fascinating interview and read the interview again on line, it’s mind-blowing and makes so much sense. I intend to read Jeremy’s book “Freedom” and cannot wait to find out more on this amazing website.

It provides outstanding hope for our world.
Excellent information👏👏
White people are essentially the problem on our planet. They make up less than 8'% and cause 90% of the problem. They are racist , violent, greedy just simply examine their record. Now they are professing to know all the answers. Trust them at your enduring peril.
We recommend you read Freedom Essay 28: The end of racism.Importantly, in Addendum 2 of his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy explains why the Judeo-Christian Western culture, like the right-wing in politics, has been one of the main targets for rejection by the pseudo idealistic, politically correct, ‘woke’, identity politics, cancel culture movement — but that it has finally delivered the explanation of the human condition that the whole world has been so desperately waiting for.I look forward to reading the book. Thank you

Fantastic explanation!
Well people let’s do this then
I was swept up in the knowledge presented in this interview. A relief it was indeed! I surely hope to learn more about these ideas and interpretation of the human condition. Thank you for airing the interview on Facebook.
Amazing
Very exciting, hopefully I’ll be able to take it all in.
Excellent ❤️
JUST WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW.
Understanding of this battle can end human suffering and conflict. It is fascinating insights.
Truly illuminating and awakening to the conscious minds of people who wish Absolute FREEDOM of the world and Humanity from the corruption it’s currently in. We NEED this Knowledge and information to help heal one another before our self destruction Manifests sooner than later. Honestly a Blessing to those who read it and understand its purpose. Thank you for this wonderful life changing movement.
Excellent
Thanks a lot for sharing the interview.
Finally no blame or excuses for humans to blame others especially generations before but a blue print 💙 for our roles in this chaotic world I hope world leaders have enough moral sense to understanding their selfish contribution to current human suffering
We are blessed to know this idea of the transformation of the human race
I heard about this interview and I was looking forward to the information within it however the gentleman seems to have been speaking to people who were PhDs or so how about us common people the regular everyday person I understood only a percentage of the conversation or interview perhaps he could rewrite it for us layman. !
I am Honoured to be part of this. Indeed, I am so Aware and Consciously walking in this Journey. We connect through this Existence as We Speak Life and TRUTH matters Here. Saving Humankind ♥️ Can fix together. HUMANITY 👉is WORTH FIGHTING FOR ♥️🔥❤️🔥
The changes we make will take time. finally all mankind will understand each other. there will be an understanding of trust not the misunderstanding of mistrust.
Fascinating!
His theories are about male energy. As a female full of female energy, these theories do not speak to me other than having seen it in the men around me. I hope men realize that the energy they’ve used to dominant all around them has not benefited us.
I’m greatly excited watching the program.
I will read the book.
That’s wonderful, Bette. And as mentioned in our reply to Lynne below, you can access a free copy of FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition at the top of the WTM’s homepage. Just click on the image of FREEDOM that has the text ‘Free Copy’ to read online, listen to the audio version or download a copy. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. If you are particularly keen to get a hardcopy of Jeremy Griffith’s books they are also available to purchase from Amazon and other online bookstores.
Thanks a lot for sharing this. that was a fantastic video.
This was wonderful to listen to. The comparison of our ancestors the Bonobo to how to live loving and peaceful was delightful
I may have missed this part but still want to ask: What happened to cause man/woman to become psychologically conscious? Thank you!
Looking forward to understanding this Study.

Thank you so much for sharing this
I hope to understand this great idea and be able to see this world end all wars!
Well, you made me to reflect my school days on the evolution. Thanks a lot
It’s great to have your interest Matthew! Biologist Jeremy Griffith presents an entirely new framework of human-condition-confronting-and-solving, holistic science which means that at last we are able to look at evolution in an honest way which is very exciting. In his definitive book FREEDOM chapter 4:4 Jeremy explains the word ‘evolution’ needs to be replaced with the word ‘development’ for while evolution implies that organisms do change or evolve it avoids acknowledging that there is a direction and purpose to that change, which is to develop the order of matter – see Freedom Essay 21 ‘The truthful biology: the real story of the development of life, including humans’.
Absolutely enlightening to finally hear the truth of what has happened to the decline of Mankind over so many centuries. Thank you for all your knowledge.
I believe that a person that acquires more money than a certain group loses empathy and morals. Which creates the downfall of a nation.
The interview really help me understand everything
What is your response to someone who doesn’t believe your explanation and continues to do bad things. Do you think we can all quiet our conscience and forget the bad things we’ve done because of your explanation that we aren’t bad, we’re actually good? Does that make the bad things good?
It’s an amazing interview for me
Let’s get started
Good on you Bob, you won’t be disappointed!!
Always interested understanding myself better and the people I love.
Well you are in the right place Bob so please pursue that interest — finally being able to understand and reconcile the human condition is astonishingly powerful as it gives us the ability to understand every aspect of human behaviour! The best place to start is to watch THE Interview, in which Jeremy Griffith presents his breakthrough ‘instinct v intellect’ explanation of the human condition, it’s the ideal introduction to his work and it’s at the top of the World Transformation Movement’s homepage. From there the homepage provides a wonderful road map to progress with all our material including our other three Introductory Videos — and everything is completely free! You might also like to subscribe to our mailing list to receive one free email per week and occasional News Flashes. Also you can join our Facebook Group which provides a wonderful platform for participating in, or just observing, interesting and exciting discussion with others about how we can live with this critical new science!
Making us proud to be a human again.
Human nature is higher than animals because of reason/conscience.
How did consciousness emerge in humans?’.As well Jeremy explains in Part 3 of THE Interview how we acquired our conscience or moral instinctive self. It is summarised in FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?’Absolutely Amazing thank you😊
It arouses my interest and attention-since it pertains to the nature and condition of the human race !
Im so grateful and amazed that absolutely fixes the world!!
I feel relief!
Mate.. extremely delighting. Good reasoning , balanced with good research.
How will the world change back to what it was. There is a general belief that the world cannot achieve utopia, consequently how can we make that conscious effort to achieve what we assume albeit unconsciously that it not possible
Fascinating
Amazing Discovery. Please Listen
This is the most amazing and important information I have ever received … in the 60’s we tried to make this information known. We didn’t receive much attention or interest and this idea was lost again. I hope that it will be seen as important as it will change “our” lives!
Thanks a lot- I can feel the sens of this interveu. Just to undestand well, better if I can have in Italian language. When the argoments are so specific it is difficult for me and many Italian persons follow this interveu.
Hi Manuela, thank you for your comment. Jeremy Griffith’s books and essays are being translated into many languages around the world, thanks to wonderful efforts from the WTM’s ever-expanding global network of support, and that includes an Italian translation of THE Interview, which you can see on our Translations page, which shows all languages that are available. Also people can watch THE Interview (and all the videos on our website) using the closed captions or subtitles function in their native language (just click on the ‘cc’ icon at the bottom of the video player/window).
A nice book and Interview explain clearly
Wonderful and uplifting. Soothing
Overwhelmed! So much to digest! Thank you!
Hi, iv listened to this interview twice, and i still don’t get it. So developing consciousness made us humans bad, evil, selfish etc??? What!!
There is something to be said/heard here.
This is great!
Thank you all for your dedication to the healing of humanity. Truly grateful.
Well I have had a think about this, and I have to say, that none of us are born with hate. So where does that leave us? Well everything that we’ve done and picked up since birth, has gone on to make us all the people we are. We’ve taught ourselves to be this way. Glen McQuillan.
I read Jeremy Griffiths' books some years ago. They were sound then, they remain sound now. The ideas appear simple, the analogies appear simplistic. However, they are truly profound.
I concur with this brilliant biologist!
Excellent
I totally agree with way the Australian biologist explains his research on the human condition
We would all need to have therapy because we have evolved to survive in the world we have today which brings out our competitive nature we would need to be brain washed to change how we think and behave.
Earlier the last 24 h I watched this interview for the first time and then just continued going through content on your site. I am so happy to have found this explanation & the insights. I have since my childhood sensed bits & pieces of this kind of knowledge but have always been searching for an all encompassing framework for it all. Now I finally see it! It all fits! Thank you for your life-giving work!!!
Happy Thank You More Please 🙏
Hi Dominique, it’s great you’ve watched THE Interview as it’s the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. Save the world
Should be required reading for all UN members. Sure to cure Middle East and Ukraine crisis in one swoop. Makes nuclear weapons totally redundant.
It can initially be difficult to digest what is being presented here Steven, so we do suggest that people are patient.
I loved it
Very good insight of the human condition. Surprisingly I have been in search mentally of how we resolve this state of existence among humans that are in control. Thanks for sharing.
Hey I’m recommending this editorial! Face it people we need all the help we can get
Very interesting! I’m always willing to learn.
Thankyou so much for your work and for having the answers so we can be saved and save our planet x
How exciting n im in immense gratitude
Excited to hear The Interview! I’m at times at the just finished birthday- celebrations of our Beloved&Revered Teacher: His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama in Northern India, in McLeodGanj & will very soon listen to The Interview 🙏 Best regards, H.M.Rah from Berlin
Hi Sangay, while Buddhism and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Thank You for Sharing this information
The depth of understanding relative my purpose has now been realized
Just amazing
I’m not even sure what the message was here. I didnt hear anything new or revolutionary or any way to solve the world’s problems. Just a lot of blabbing about nothing. WHAT WAS THE POINT...?
See our FAQ 1.16 which includes the question ‘please send me an executive summary so I have some idea of what you’re trying to say?’.Our FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept prsented here. So it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough as the many commendations Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thinkers attest.Always looking for new ideas!

Dominance
Hi Daniel, as is explained in Part 1 of THE Interview, humans’ divisive behaviour is not a product of unchangeable animal instincts competing for dominance, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by a clash between our instincts and intellect, and significantly since a psychosis can be healed with understanding, human behaviour is not unchangeable or immutable — a revelation that transforms the human race! As well as watching THE Interview you can read more about this critical new science in Jeremy Griffith’s Freedom Essay 2 Debunking the ‘savage instincts’ excuse for human behaviour.
This needs to be translated into many languages... The big ones first sanskrit, Latin, Chinese, Hindu, Russian, spanish, Korean, French, Aribik, Portuguese, Vietnamese, japan’s,.........

I always wondered that there was more to humans and human life and why people are the way they are.
I am a nzer I thought it is the best explanation I have heard to now

This is very much similar to the Bhagavad Gita teachings.
In fact, what people discover is that this represents a fulfilment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves: see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.Also Jeremy’s Video/Freedom Essay 53 expands on thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who, while they could not explain it, did recognise the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition. There were no gods in the Krita Yuga, and there were no demons… Men neither bought nor sold; there were no poor and no rich; there was no need to labor, because all that men required was obtained by the power of will; the chief virtue was the abandonment of desires… In those times, men lived as long as they chose to live, and were without any fear of Yima (the god of Death)… Being all like gods, they ascended to the sky and returned at will… Self-subdued and free from envy, they beheld the gods and the mighty prophets, and had a clear perception of all duties.” ...And in the Vaya Purāna it is written: “They were characterized neither by righteousness nor unrighteousness…they moved about at will and lived in continual delight.”’Undeniably understand fully completely without doubt or uncertainty. Giddyup yup yup yup INDEED!!! WONDERFULLNESS!!! WE AGREE.
Can I download the next ones? I really know this is correct!
Absolutely Douglas and as a not-for-profit organisation we make all our material and publications totally free, no registration required!! These presentations are The Great Guilt that explains the difficulty of the ‘Deaf Effect’ that reading about the human condition initially causes, then The Great Transformation about how understanding the human condition actually transforms the human race, then the Sermon On The Beach, Jeremy’s inspired description of how the human race now leaves the horror of the human condition forever! All these presentations are available as books, which you can immediately access free electronic copies of to also read, listen to or download here. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. (Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.)
This is meaningful.
The human condition encompasses the complexities. Mysteries and experience that define human existence. It includes 1 emotion joy. Sorrow. Love. Fear hope. 2 consciousness. Self. Awareness. Thought and perception. 3 relationship. Connection. Community. And interaction. 4 mortality. Facing death. Impermanence. And the unknown. 5 search for meaning. Purpose. Identity and significance. 6 struggle. Challenges. Conflict resilience. The human condition is a shape by individual perspective. Culture. And experience. Making it diverse and multifaceted.
Its all conscious chosen behavior
