As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, with support from those who appreciate this understanding, the truth is that this redeeming, compassionate and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone gets on board. Basically, so exciting and relieving is this breakthrough, and the freedom from the human condition that is now on offer, that everyone will want it, and so it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening. Just read the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving on our homepage and scroll down to see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world! Also FAQ 1.40 is most helpful as it answers the question ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

Very inspiring especially at a time when the World needs to embrace humanity towards its loving and compassionate nature.

Did this happen gradually? We went from compassion, and unconditional love, to mass psychosis, pain, suffering, and fear
WTM Admin
Good question Bruno. In chapter 7 of FREEDOM, which is Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book, he explains that the development of consciousness was gradual, occurring over millions of years. And just as consciousness emerged over millions of years, so too did the battle between that emerging consciousness and our pre-established instincts. As is shown in the ‘Development of Mental Cleverness’ graph in chapter 8:11C of FREEDOM, it took a long time (millions of years) before our conscious mistakes outstripped our conscience repair and the extreme symptoms of the human condition began to appear.

As is made clear in FAQ 1.33, one of the main ways we have dealt with the human condition while we have not been able to explain it, is through ‘denial’. As is explained in that FAQ, “Throughout our 2 million year journey to find the truthful redeeming understanding of our corrupted condition, defensive denial—along with defensively attacking any criticism of our corrupted condition, and defensively finding ways to artificially make ourselves feel good about ourselves—is what made that journey possible.” And “Basically we would talk about all manner of positive achievements without ever mentioning the negative of how horrendously corrupted and horrendously practising of denial of that truth and thus how horrendously alienated/psychotic/split from our true all-loving and all-sensitive instinctive self or soul we actually were. There was this massive metaphorical elephant in the room, our extremely alienated condition, that no one was confronting or admitting.”
The truth is that solving the human condition is the key to solving all the problems on the planet, because all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans. We are the ones who are egocentric, selfish, greedy, materialistic, fake, angry as hell. And so it’s that underlying issue — our destructively behaved, so-called human condition — that really has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems.

What rubbish. Read Proverbs and Ecclesiastes with an open mind, and find the answer to the so called Human Condition. The centuries old explanations can be found there, but we choose to ignore it. “Profesing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”
WTM Admin
Religion has contained all manner of truth about the human condition, in the sense that it presented a pre-scientific explanation of the human condition. As Jeremy explains in THE Interview for example, “the Biblical story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden that Moses wrote so long ago in about 1,500 BC actually perfectly describes the psychologically upsetting battle that emerged between our instincts and conscious intellect. It says Adam and Eve/we humans took the ‘fruit’ (Genesis 3:3) ‘from the tree of knowledge’ (Gen. 2:9, 17) and were ‘disobedient’ (the term widely used in descriptions of Gen. 3). In other words, we developed a conscious mind and free will. But in that pre-scientific story it says Adam and Eve then became ‘evil’ (Gen. 3:22) perpetrators of ‘sin’ (Gen. 4:7) because they became angry, egocentric and alienated, and as a result Moses said they were ‘banished…from the Garden of Eden’ (Gen. 3:23) state of cooperative and loving innocence.” With the benefit of science, thankfully we can now explain that they, we humans, weren’t bad at all; in fact, we are the heroes of the story of life on Earth! You might also be interested in our FAQs about religion which explain that religion deserves praise for being a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-scientific view.
Darlene haning
The church had been trying to do this since the beginning. Maybe science will reach more
WTM Admin
The purpose of religion was to be the custodian of the ideal state while the search for liberating knowledge was underway. To change we needed to understand our behaviour—understand why when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? And it’s this age-old question that biologist Jeremy Griffith has answered with this instinct vs intellect explanation. And it is reaching many, many people, as evidenced by the ecstatic responsesTHE Interview is receiving daily. And, if you scroll down our homepage, you will see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from scientists and thought leaders as well as WTM Centres popping up all over the world!

Pastor Connie Titus
I would like to thank Dr Jeremy for this awesome book explaining the human condition. Now after understanding how physiologically upset we as humans are, it is only love for one another that will save our human race.
WTM Admin
Thank you Pastor Titus. Yes, we needed to understand why we became so psychologically upset that we have nearly destroyed our own planet — why, when the universal ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? It is this crux question that Jeremy Griffith confronts and answers through first principle biology because only through understanding the dark side of ourselves—why we departed from our all-loving instincts and became selfish—can we free ourselves from the human condition and legitimately love ourselves and each other again. We recommend reading our FAQ 1.6, ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’
Robert Mcafee
There is simply no mention of God in any of this which invariably makes this whole concept if discovery invalid

Very interesting as my son is psychotic and it is heartbreaking as he is a very nice chap. I will buy this book to help him. Pauline
WTM Admin
Thank you for your heartfelt comment, Pauline. The psychological suffering the human condition has caused for humans is a deeply tragic reality. At last we are able to understand the human-condition-battle between our instinct and intellect which is so immensely relieving but it does present a massive paradigm shift that takes time to consider. We thought you would find psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen’s response to the question ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis? helpful, see FAQ 1.34 and also FAQ 1.35 ‘Does this heal anxiety?’ Significantly with this explanation of our condition we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can understand humans’ psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over exposure’ summarises. This FAQ explains that everyone and especially those with mental health issues need to manage their exposure to this very confronting information. It also importantly urges people who struggle with mental health issues to seek the support and assistance of professional counsellors and points out that any information we do provide should not be used as, or as a substitute for, professional counselling.

He made some good points but theres a few ideas he has, I believe to be inaccurate about the evolution of humanity conscious self... I do agree we do go though internal battle between natural instinct and conscious choice that contemplation and meditation can eventually achieved... However nothing he said or explained is new to me.
WTM Admin
As Jeremy Griffith stresses in Part 2 of THE Interview, finding the answer to the human condition, which is the only thing that can allow us to end our species’ “internal battle”, ultimately depended on being able to explain our biology. There have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition and deferring to the soundness of our soul in one form or another, like “contemplation and meditation”, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere. The reason is because they don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it. This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. We recommend reading FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new?’
Barbara
Very thought-provoking and insightful interview.
James Frood
The idea that the Adam and Eve story is a metaphor is nothing new. It stands to reason that the development of conciousness has put us at odds with our instinct and innate natural reactions. There is no reason whatsoever to believe that we were somehow peace loving and non violent in the distant past. Look around the world at how life behaves, in particular the chimpanzees, our very violent relatives. The conflict arises because we now have the ability to question our own instincts and agressions.
WTM Admin
Yes, throughout history people have correctly interpreted the Adam and Eve story as a metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our preestablished instincts. Interestingly, beyond that, a closer look at the ‘Edenic’ story shows that it also assumes that those instincts were loving and cooperative past. However, puttng that aside, scientific evidence that our past was peaceful and cooperative is now incontrovertable. It is now clear that on the basis of physiology, bipedality, environment, intelligence and reduced canine size, that the cooperative and gentle bonobo chimpanzee represents a far better model of our human ancestors than the common chimpanzee (the evidence is presented in detail in chapter 5 of Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM). Reduced canine size is particularly relevant as it is a defining features of the hominin clade, and universally accepted as an indication of reduced aggression (of all the non-human primates, bonobos have the smallest canines). All this evidence has lead the prominent anthropologist C. Owen Lovejoy to write that “our species-defining cooperative mutualism can now be seen to extend well beyond the deepest Pliocene [well beyond 5.3 mya]”.
While elements of the human condition have been recognised by certain thinkers throughout history, what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s synthesis is he actually solves the dilemma of the human condition by clarifying the difference between the way the intellect and instincts work. That is the great breakthrough his work represents (see Freedom Essay 4 on other thinkers who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition).
charlene
Excellent!! Just what I wanted to hear to understand why I am not abnormal
WTM Admin
Hi Charlene, yes, Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition explains how our conscious mind became alienated from our loving, cooperative instinctive self, resulting in a universal psychosis. As he points out in THE Interview, the word ‘psychosis’ literally means ‘soul-illness’ and ‘psychiatry’ literally means ‘soul-healing’ (derived as they are from psyche meaning ‘soul’, osis meaning ‘abnormal state or condition’ and iatreia meaning ‘healing’). And, significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding! To investigate Jeremy’s treatise further we recommend our Introductory Video Series and also his definitive book FREEDOM which are all freely available on our homepage HumanCondition.com. We also recommend you join our Facebook Group and register for our live events with Jeremy Griffith as there is so much helpful and practical discussion taking place there about this immensely redeeming and relieving knowledge!

Phillip B
The podcast was mindaltering and life altering, the struggle between instinct and intellect, and 2 million years removed from the garden of Eden (innocence), that we as a species are not aligned with intended evolution to a more loving and supportive species.
WTM Admin
The amazing revelation in THE Interview is that our divisive, selfish, egocentric behaviour has been ‘good’! The conscious mind is surely nature’s greatest invention, and in order to master self-management, we had to defy our instincts, which meant defying the loving and cooperative ideals. So we can now see that our apparently ‘bad’ behaviour has actually been completely aligned with our ‘evolution to a more loving and supportive species’. Very interesting, I feel man’s greed may be our downfall...as it states in our Lords prayer “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil”
WTM Admin
Hi Pauline, the more you digest this information, the more you realise that the human condition is behind all our actions and motivations, including our greed. The point is that our greed and the power it affords is a symptom of our insecure, human condition afflicted state. It follows that if you address that underlying insecurity, then our greed (along with all our other artificial sources of reinforcement) will be removed. And that is what this information does – it addresses and solves that core insecurity about our self-worth. In fact, this redeeming, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fortune and glory.
You might be interested in FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

Piere Visagie
The interview was awesome and I appreciate the fact that Jeremy connects it to the Old Testament and Adam and Eve. I would have loved his final statements about love to have been connected to the New Testament; God is Love; Love your neighbour as you love yourself; do unto others as you would have them do unto you etc. Jeremy thank you for an extraordinary insight to the Human Condition.
WTM Admin
Yes Piere, in Part 2 of THE Interview, Jeremy Griffith explains that the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden describes the primary situation involved in our human condition of the psychologically upsetting battle that emerged between our instincts and our conscious intellect’s search for knowledge. As you have so excitedly realised, what science can now add to that pre-scientific description is that our instincts (which are perfectly orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life, ‘God’ being briefly explained in THE Interview as being the integrative meaning of existence) in effect criticised the emerging conscious mind’s search for knowledge, but importantly, we can now understand that the conscious mind was right, or ‘good’ to defy our instinctive self in order to fulfil its great potential to manage life. While religious assurances, such as ‘God loves you’ in Christianity, provided comfort, they failed to explain WHY we are lovable, and it is that missing explanation that this breakthrough provides (and importantly, Part 4 explains how that redeeming knowledge brings about the rehabilitation of the world). I’m sure you will find our FAQs about religion most interesting, especially FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’, where you will be pleased to find that Jeremy does quote ‘God is love’.
CCK
Yeah! Finally a cerebral white male acknowledges what the women/mothers/indigenous people of the world have known in their hearts all along! OK, now let’s get on with the reparations, the restoration of respect for women, mothers, indigenous humans in their native lands trying to keep their native language/culture/spiritual beliefs. Also, restoring the respect for the Natural world. We need a Constitution that declares the rights of Nature to exist and remain intact.
WTM Admin
What is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ treatise is that it brings about the loving, soulful world of ‘women, mothers, indigenous humans in their native lands’ by defending men’s upset angry egocentric and alienated state!!! Men, it turns out, have not been villains, but the absolute heroes of the whole story of life on earth. It was only through finding the good reason that we had to defy our cooperative and nurturing instincts, which women and the more innocent races represented, that all our defensive, ‘bad’ behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) could be made redundant and the defiance and oppression of our soul could end. Ultimately, we had to end the underlying insecurity that was driving all the destructive behaviour, which is exactly what Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition in THE Interview does. And because this explanation establishes the equal worth of all humans we can at last acknowledge the differences between us all and bring the desperately needed reconciling understanding to men and women and all races. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentation from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, in Video/Freedom Essay 8. Also our FAQs about men and women are most helpful.

Listen, as long as the intention of Western & Asian nations remain on their current trajectory, & that is to continue to suppress the Afrikan continent as a resource supplier, to the rest of the world, with no relief for the inhabitants of the land, your decline is eminent. Everyone & everything, the elements, the vegetation, the sun, the animals & the indigenous people of Ta Terra Tiamat are sick & tired of your savagery. This rotten system that your forefathers have created that you are benefitting from, is built on dark & brown indigenous people having to suffer pain, shed blood in order for you to prosper. That cannot continue period! 🌋🌋🌋☄☄☄⚡⚡⚡☀️☀️☀️🔥🔥🔥 FIRE is going to burn you up!
WTM Admin
The effects of the human condition have certainly caused so much unbearable suffering it has been a deeply tragic reality for all humans and our planet stands on the edge of destruction. However, we suggest that if you digest the explanation of the human condition presented in THE Interview, you will see that by confronting and addressing the source of our aggressive destructive behaviour, which is what biologist Jeremy Griffith has done, that behaviour can finally be brought to an end. It was only through removing the insecurity that was driving our behaviour that our defensive anger, egocentricity and alienation could be made redundant, and we could legitimately return to the cooperative and loving state humanity once lived in and we all long for. It might be helpful to read FAQ 1.3, which provides a nutshell explanation of the human condition, and then watch THE Interview again. You might also find the comment by CCK directly above and our reply of interest.

If this theory will be in practice for all humans, How will you deal with greed?
I cannot think that rich people will help poor people with money untill the rich people have no more money to give...
WTM Admin
THE Interview explains that humans’ greed and need for materialism is not driven by us having savage animal instincts but by a psychosis caused by a clash between our intellect and cooperative instincts. So we can now understand that all human selfishness and indifference is psychological in origin and ultimately an expression of the human condition. Importantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding—a revelation that can transform the human race! We suggest you read our helpful FAQ 1.40 which answers the question ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

WTM Admin
There is no doubt that this explanation of the human condition needs to be part of the education syllabus, but that will happen naturally once the explanation gains mainstream acceptance, and so gaining that acceptance has to be our focus. And as with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain that acceptance, however, with support from those who appreciate this understanding it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening. Just read the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving on our homepage and scroll down to see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world! John Kenny
I like much of what is said here, especially the need for self awareness and for a more compassionate society. However, I fail to see why the right, which has promoted market-based self interest and competition through its neoliberal ideology escapes criticism, while the left, which promotes the society and common good is criticised? While each of these ideologies has been implemented by un-enlightened humans and has ultimately failed, only the left at least espoused a better society for all. Other than this, I was interested and informed by much of what was said. Was this an indication of a right wing bias underlying this message?
John
WTM Admin
Thank you very much for your thoughts John. Jeremy Griffith’s work opens up a new way of thinking so it takes a little time to fully absorb this new paradigm and our human condition does present the ultimate paradox. His biological ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition allows us to understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wing. His work certainly doesn’t excuse the right-wing for its corrupting behaviour, nor unfairly focus on the failing of the left, which is that its insistence on ideal behaviour had the effect of oppressing the search for knowledge, but rather brings a profound understanding to both sides which ultimately will bring an end to the whole ugly business of politics. This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics. There is no hidden agenda in Jeremy’s work. His only focus is to end human suffering at its source by explaining our ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition and unite the human race, see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

Interesting concept. Will be interesting to see how it manifests itself in society as it is today. How are we going to psychologically assess and help all those who think they are politicians doing the world of good? Do not envy anyone in that position. I would have to listen to the whole thing again and possibly read your book to fully understand your thinking. I think it is the devil’s work that is winning in society today here and throughout the world.

There is much to consider and absorb so re-watching THE Interview and the reading FREEDOM as you mention is exactly what we recommend people do (FREEDOM is free here on our homepage). As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, with support from those who appreciate this understanding, the truth is that this redeeming, compassionate and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fame, fortune and glory.

Loving human
We are living at the worst time in history where humans have become evil,if the remainder of the good humans don’t take a stand on the whole planet we will end up losing the human race on this beautiful place.what this human says is true and we need to get back to being loving caring kind unconditionally to all humans.Thankyou for trying to save this wonderful place.
WTM Admin
The question of the human condition is WHY have we become so psychologically upset (what we have historically termed ‘evil’) that we have nearly destroyed our own planet?! Why when the universal ideals are to be loving and selfless are we so competitive and selfish? It is this crux question that Jeremy Griffith confronts and answers through first principle biology because only through understanding the dark side of ourselves—why we departed from our all-loving instincts and became selfish—can we free ourselves from the human condition and legitimately love ourselves and each other again, see FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’

This coincides with the idea that the human condition’s default is goodness. It is the realized fear of life that has thrown us out of that “fundamental goodness” . I will be buying your book. Thank you.
WTM Admin
Hi Nancy, Jeremy Griffith’s books are immediately available for free here on our homepage. This includes Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM and the booklet version of THE Interview. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon. If you are particularly wanting a hard copy you can purchase them from Amazon or other good bookstores.
As THE Interview explains, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad so yes we are extremely fearful but what is driving our behaviour is the deep insecurity and guilt we feel about it. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we are fundamentally good—answer the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.

Very much I would like to believe that you really show us the general understanding of the human mind. Unfortunately, I´m not a believer - I need to experience it - and up to now after 65 years, I didn´t.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your consideration Thomas. All we would say is that this knowledge presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking and so it does take time to absorb. You are right in suggesting that we can experience the validity of the thesis, because in this particular scientific study — the biological analysis of the human condition — we humans are the subjects, which means we can experience, feel and know the truthfulness or otherwise of the explanations being put forward. It should be born in mind that in carrying out this assessment that the human condition can be initially difficult to access as it has been the most terrifying of subjects to face because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species, and we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it. We suggest looking at Video/Freedom Essay 1 titled ‘Your block to the most wonderful of all gifts’ where Jeremy Griffith explains this initial ‘deaf effect’ and how to overcome it, which is also summarised in FAQ 1.16.
Bernhard
to my experience and knowledge the best definition of human behavior and how to deal with the deviation from the central path was provided by the original teachings of Buddha.
WTM Admin
Certainly Buddhism provided guidance on dealing with the symptoms of the human condition, on “how to deal with the deviation from the central path”, but ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we deviated; for why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, we are so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.
Him
Regardless of the cause ,there was always and always will be freedom of choice , I disagree about the Adam and Eve theory ,being the cause ,let’s say Adam and Eve never existed .Then what you are saying is we all would have continued through life not knowing right from wrong so murder rape pedophilia theft hatred lust etc etc would have just carried on As being normal and acceptable through the generations until the present day .Which is looked upon by todays society as totally wrong ,and quite rightly so .what state would our world be in if that happened .we all have a conscience, it’s the individual who chooses the path they will follow.
WTM Admin
Thanks for you comment. Just to be clear, the ‘Adam and Eve theory’ is explained to be a metaphor for the psychologically upsetting battle that emerged between our instincts and conscious intellect. That battle emerged over millions of years amongst our distant ape ancestors. With regard to freedom of choice and ability of individuals to choose how they act, what the instinct vs intellect understanding explains is why any individual chooses to act in the way they do i.e. why we make the selfish and aggressive choices we do. We can now understand that because individuals have different encounters with the human condition through the circumstances of their lives and upbringing, they will have various levels of psychological upset, and as a result there will be different levels of upset and need for reinforcement, and it is this that explains why individuals choose the way they do, and why we variously choose to ignore our consciences. Importantly, we can at last understand the source of our upset and bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others.

Very inspiring especially at a time when the World needs to embrace humanity towards its loving and compassionate nature.
Did this happen gradually? We went from compassion, and unconditional love, to mass psychosis, pain, suffering, and fear
Gives me hope for the future.
There is nothing wrong with the human condition. Food availability when hungry is all that is important. This video is just for entertainment like all other lectures and talks.
There was this massive metaphorical elephant in the room, our extremely alienated condition, that no one was confronting or admitting.” The truth is that solving the human condition is the key to solving all the problems on the planet, because all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans. We are the ones who are egocentric, selfish, greedy, materialistic, fake, angry as hell. And so it’s that underlying issue — our destructively behaved, so-called human condition — that really has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems.
There is hope for humankind!
Great effort
What rubbish. Read Proverbs and Ecclesiastes with an open mind, and find the answer to the so called Human Condition. The centuries old explanations can be found there, but we choose to ignore it. “Profesing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”
The church had been trying to do this since the beginning. Maybe science will reach more
The purpose of religion was to be the custodian of the ideal state while the search for liberating knowledge was underway. To change we needed to understand our behaviour—understand why when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? And it’s this age-old question that biologist Jeremy Griffith has answered with this instinct vs intellect explanation. And it is reaching many, many people, as evidenced by the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving daily. And, if you scroll down our homepage, you will see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from scientists and thought leaders as well as WTM Centres popping up all over the world!Darlene, you may also be interested in our FAQs about the demystification of religion.I am intrigued

Very interesting approach!
I would like to thank Dr Jeremy for this awesome book explaining the human condition. Now after understanding how physiologically upset we as humans are, it is only love for one another that will save our human race.
There is simply no mention of God in any of this which invariably makes this whole concept if discovery invalid
In this summary presentation Jeremy Griffith briefly explains God is the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence and refers the audience to chapter 4 of his book FREEDOM. We also recommend our FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’.
I have always wondered why I thought and acted differently from other people most of my life, now I know why, this video is my confirmation beautifully explained, I am now truly free!
Jon reed you are lost..We are all just like you
Powerful, Thank-you. At last a simplified honest concept on the conscious mind.
Thank you for this extraordinary discovery
Very interesting as my son is psychotic and it is heartbreaking as he is a very nice chap. I will buy this book to help him. Pauline
And Jeremy Griffith’s books are immediately available for free on our homepage. This includes his definitive book FREEDOM and the booklet version of THE Interview. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon.I am really loving this presentation. This is a privilege. Thank you.
Lovely interpretation of what I genuinely felt was commonly known …
Amazing Breakthrough for the Human race Loved listening, it gives me hope for the future generation. Especially now in these dark and dangerous Time. I often wonder what happened to us and finally got a true and very logical explanation that makes the utmost sense. I feel relieved. Thank you🙏
I am glad I tuned into this presentation.
Very anxious to read this book
Hi Georges, FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, and Jeremy Griffith’s other key books, are freely available on our homepage HERE to read online, download. You can also download free Kindle versions from Amazon.
He made some good points but theres a few ideas he has, I believe to be inaccurate about the evolution of humanity conscious self... I do agree we do go though internal battle between natural instinct and conscious choice that contemplation and meditation can eventually achieved... However nothing he said or explained is new to me.
Very thought-provoking and insightful interview.
Owen Lovejoy to write that “our species-defining cooperative mutualism can now be seen to extend well beyond the deepest Pliocene [well beyond 5.3 mya]”.While elements of the human condition have been recognised by certain thinkers throughout history, what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s synthesis is he actually solves the dilemma of the human condition by clarifying the difference between the way the intellect and instincts work. That is the great breakthrough his work represents (see Freedom Essay 4 on other thinkers who have recognised instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition).Excellent!! Just what I wanted to hear to understand why I am not abnormal
Amazing! I’m grateful for the brilliant explanations and the answers I’ve been looking for!
Extremely interesting!!
You get it! Thank you for the interview!
Interesting theories.
I am always looking for answers to the human condition.
Thankyou for this wonderful interview that has opened a new enlightenment on our human condition .😊
I’m all for positive changes that will increase the survival rate of our species!
The podcast was mindaltering and life altering, the struggle between instinct and intellect, and 2 million years removed from the garden of Eden (innocence), that we as a species are not aligned with intended evolution to a more loving and supportive species.
I understand 👍 now why we humans are greedy and selfish!!
It is an excellent experience for me
Thank you very much! I have thought about these things long time ago....and finally have found the similar thinking people.
Hi Anda, while it takes some time to digest, we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s understanding of the human condition is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish? See FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new?’
Wonderful discovery and a real game changer. Thank you for the great work
Very enjoyable presentation with my time well spent, thank you very much...
It’s truly fruitful and I’m privileged to have had a chance to learn of it
Thank you
This theme is very interesting to me. My thesis is 'Socio-psychological aspects of political changes and some problems of social management". I look forward to reading your book. Thank you.
Although I find the advertising style and choice of diction outrageous to the point that it made me not want to watch this video at first, I am glad I did. it is truly interesting and maybe even enlightening...not sure yet, I guess I’ll see how I feel as I dwell on this concept for the next few months... :)
Hi Akani, and thank you for persevering and your interest! We suggest that the more you digest Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, the more you will realise how accountable it is in getting to the source of all humanity’s psychological upset. To help this ongoing digestion, you’ll see at the top of our homepage — HumanCondition.com — the recommended steps after watching THE Interview. This includes registering for our free, live events with Jeremy and others and joining our popular Facebook Group.
WONDERFUL! THANK YOU!
Now I want to go back to book of genesis and explore from a different perspective. Thank you!
Very interesting, I feel man’s greed may be our downfall...as it states in our Lords prayer “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil”
Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”I await for the time that all of these truths are implemented globally in the education system. For a global unified understanding of all things to be true and verified understanding of our History, psyche and a commmon goal. A base on wich science, faith, hope and humanity itself can build on.
This was an amazing experience! Thank you!
This explains our situation so well, and gives us hope for a way out of conflict.
Wonderful!!! How do I get the book must I download?

Thank you; it is absolutely fascinating
The interview was awesome and I appreciate the fact that Jeremy connects it to the Old Testament and Adam and Eve. I would have loved his final statements about love to have been connected to the New Testament; God is Love; Love your neighbour as you love yourself; do unto others as you would have them do unto you etc. Jeremy thank you for an extraordinary insight to the Human Condition.
This helps us understand ourselves and each other, embrace who we are and our differences. See the goodness in each humankind. It gives self-confidence, freedom and good motive to live and strive amongst others. Just what we need now! Wonderful insight!!!Thank God
If this theory will be in practice for all humans, How will you deal with greed? I cannot think that rich people will help poor people with money untill the rich people have no more money to give...
Very interesting.
This is enlightening interview, We really need this kind of education in our schools in order to transform our society.

This explains the discovery of our divine Truth and our consciousness to live a life of Love, care and compassion for self and others.
Wonderful inspirational informative and challenging interview. A very important voice in our world today. This is unpacked in everyday language even I can understand so anyone can understand this. Don’t stop sharing this message and interview.
It is very true but we need to education system has to be changed and this book has to informed in our schools🙏
You may find FAQ 1.27 of interest as it explains why the WTM doesn’t focus on trying to reach children and adolescents and why the breakout of truth about the human condition has to begin with adults.
Just gives us Wonderful feeling to redeem our Human Self Confidence
Interesting
I like much of what is said here, especially the need for self awareness and for a more compassionate society. However, I fail to see why the right, which has promoted market-based self interest and competition through its neoliberal ideology escapes criticism, while the left, which promotes the society and common good is criticised? While each of these ideologies has been implemented by un-enlightened humans and has ultimately failed, only the left at least espoused a better society for all. Other than this, I was interested and informed by much of what was said. Was this an indication of a right wing bias underlying this message? John
Truly educational interview❤️
This is simply fascinating !! Thank you for your spiritual energy and imagination!!
Just start reading the Book. Listened to the intervju, i allmost föll off My chair. This is the beginning of a new era for THE humens i our historia from the beginning. THANK YOU for open the soul for Every living human Been on this planet.

An impressive concept of consciousness with a beautiful path forward.

Very interesting
This coincides with the idea that the human condition’s default is goodness. It is the realized fear of life that has thrown us out of that “fundamental goodness” . I will be buying your book. Thank you.
Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.how we can help , is there any organization for grouping or somthing else ?

I love reading about the human brain
I am very much curious about it 🧐
Thank u for so much information
This is very spectacularly wise saided about human being behaviours. I’m really interested in this interview
Interesting. Very insightful. Thank you so much for shariing
Thank you.This is awesome.
Knowledge is of critical importance to understanding and continued progress of the human race as citizens of one planet.
Amazing
Thank you for this information. It is amazing 👏
Amazing
Very much I would like to believe that you really show us the general understanding of the human mind. Unfortunately, I´m not a believer - I need to experience it - and up to now after 65 years, I didn´t.
We suggest looking at Video/Freedom Essay 1 titled ‘Your block to the most wonderful of all gifts’ where Jeremy Griffith explains this initial ‘deaf effect’ and how to overcome it, which is also summarised in FAQ 1.16.
to my experience and knowledge the best definition of human behavior and how to deal with the deviation from the central path was provided by the original teachings of Buddha.
