Absolutely fantastic.

George B Kaknes

I’m highly skeptical of this Theory right now but open to changing my mind only if you can make a point because when you said and explain something if you’re saying that you want a fully biological rational scientific argument for how this works which I think can exist even in a spiritual mystical connotations but then you’re going to argue Consciousness and psychology which by and large to any truce blue scientist anything having to do with the mind is inherently reeking of mysticism the by and large psychology is 99% mysticism 1% science and every time it tries to be 100% physiological and rational it turns out to do more harm than good and not make any sense but when it becomes like Alchemy it still doesn’t make any sense what makes a tiny bit more and doesn’t hurt anybody so how can you make that work I believe it should be 50% psychological 50% biological but we do need to make the distinction between a rationalistic understanding of human beings and a pseudomistical or closeted science version such as a psychological argument when you said psychology I said okay so you’re a pseudoscientific

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment George. As our FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, the astonishing claims being made about Jeremy Griffith’s work do warrant initial scepticism however they all withstand scrutiny as what he presents is 100% logic. It is true that up to now, science’s attempts to explain consciousness and human psychology failed, and always veered into pseudo-science. That is because living in denial of the human condition meant that science was hopelessly hamstrung. With the instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition Jeremy has brought scientific understanding to all these previously opaque, seemingly mysterious concepts. As the eminent ecologist Professor Stuart Hurlbert has said, “I am stunned & honored to have lived to see the coming of “Darwin II”. I say this because after Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection explained the variety of life, Jeremy Griffith has gone on to solve the other four main questions science had to answer about our world and place in it. They are: 1) the dilemma of the human condition, which his instinct vs intellect explanation in chapter 3 of his main, seminal book FREEDOM finally solves; 2) how we humans became fully conscious when other species haven’t, which he answers in chapter 7; 3) the origins of humans’ unique moral nature, which he answers in chapter 5, which it turns out American philosopher John Fiske had already explained in 1874 but mechanistic science had ignored; and 4) the truth of the Integrative Meaning of existence (which we have personified as ‘God’), in chapter 4, which only a rare few thinkers in history have been able to recognize. A most phenomenal scientific achievement!” We have added links so you can confirm for yourself that all these things are now explained completely rationally.

Charlie

Watched it for 2nd time to take it all in. WOW WOW. I’m just about to watch the the guild I just need piece of mind.and to understand

WTM Admin

Hi Charlie, explanation of the human condition presents a huge paradigm shift in how we view ourselves and the world so there is a to take in as you say. So re-watching THE Interview and then watching the next introductory video The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect as you are about to do is exactly what we recommend! The Great Guilt is very revealing and helpful as it outlines more comprehensively the definition of our human condition, and why engagement with the subject causes most people to initially experience a ‘Deaf Effect’ to what’s being presented and it includes examples of people overcoming this in the presentation. (People can watch it here on our website.) So take your time absorbing these two videos as peace of mind will come because what is so significant about Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves with great compassion and kindness and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us.

Christine Gray

He hasn’t said anything that we don’t already know!

WTM Admin

Hi Christine, in this interview biologist Jeremy Griffith makes the point that from ancient times many thinkers have identified the elements of instinct and intellect involved in creating the human condition, however the great breakthrough this new science provides is the clarifying explanation of the nature of the conflict between them. Understanding that the gene-based learning system can orientate a species, but that the nerve-based learning system is insightful, allows us to understand that the conscious mind was right to defy our instinctive self to search for understanding which produces our psychologically upset condition. Without that explanation the conflict could not be resolved. That is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents and why it is heralded as being able to save the world. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work and you can see the outstanding commendations his work has received from eminent scientists and thinkers here on our homepage.

Wow, this is so mind bogglingly simple. It’s uplifting and exciting yet sad that we have suffered so long...

Dr. Alexander Matthews

He does not seem to have said anything.

WTM Admin

As THE Interview explains, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad, and our fear of this subject can make us ‘deaf’ to what is being presented. We can think “He does not seem to have said anything”, but the falsity of this is very easily verified by looking at the transcript of THE Interview. For example, in it Jeremy Griffith answers the fundamental question of why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative, we are so selfish and competitive. He explains, “If we think about it, if an animal was to become fully conscious, like we humans became, then that animal’s new self-managing, understanding-based conscious mind would surely have to challenge its pre-existing instinctive orientations to the world, wouldn’t it? A battle would have to break out between the emerging conscious mind that operates from a basis of understanding cause and effect and the non-understanding instincts that have always controlled and dictated how that animal behaves.” And further, using the analogy of a migrating stork, he explains how we “became defensively angry, egocentric and alienated because he [we] couldn’t explain why he [we] was defying his instincts, so now that we can explain why, those defensive behaviours are no longer needed and can end!” It couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!     We recommend Jeremy’s presentation The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect as it provides astonishing clarification of why lifting The Great Burden Of Guilt from the human race causes most people to initially experience a ‘Deaf Effect’ to what’s being presented.

Absolutely mind blowing

Bruce Smoot

I have always been alone in my thinking and I would love to explore this.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment Bruce and we hope you do explore it - you won’t be disappointed. Just go our homepage - www.humancondition.com - and you will see instructions on how best to follow your interest. We also wanted to draw your attention to the ‘ship at sea’ position Jeremy talks about which you may or may not relate to. Freedom Essay 30 titled ‘Resignation’ explains that some adolescents refuse to properly resign and take up the strategy of denial of the issue of the human condition that almost everybody else does. They courageously keep facing it, refuse to ‘pull into a port’, as it were, and escape the storms of confrontation with the real horror of the human condition, which does produce an honest, although torturous existence.

Janice

It is time for a new model of thinking about the human condition.

Michael Jordan

So in psychology our id verses our consciousness or reason is the conflict of the human condition?

WTM Admin

Hi Micheal. Only very superficially. There is a fundamental difference between Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition and Freud’s theory of the Id, Ego and Superego. While Jeremy acknowledges Freud’s courageous recognition that humans carry negative, repressed elements of our personality, a ‘repressed unconscious’, beyond that, there is very little similarity. Freud believed that the ‘ID’, our unconscious, instinctive mind, contained primitive selfish ‘savage’ urges that the conscious mind or ‘ego’ has to control, whereas Jeremy has now explained that our instinctive self is completely loving and cooperative, and that our aggressive and selfish behaviour is psychological in origin, the result of a clash between our instincts and intellect. Freud also believed that our morals are learnt and held by the superego, whereas Jeremy has now explained that they are the expression of our loving, cooperative moral soul or instincts. By starting from the false basis that we have ‘savage instincts’ that the ego had to control and mediate meant that Freud was not able to explain the ultimate source of human’s psychological problems.

WTM Admin

Certainly there has been a recognition in literature (and by profound thinkers generally) that there must be something better than our current human condition afflicted state. However many people have deluded themselves that this liberated state could be achieved through people artificially restraining, sublimating and even transcending their upset, corrupted condition, but the truth is that this state could only be achieved by confronting, truthfully thinking about, and finally explaining and thus solving the human condition at its source, which is what Jeremy Griffith has done. In the end it was only getting to the bottom of it all, not transcendence, that could fulfil Richard Bach’s allegoral quest for perfection. See FAQ 6.5 about the profound difference between this an ‘New Age’ movements.

An eye opening interview of the great professor. It is a key to the solution of the overwhelmingly shocking human condition in the over competitive world of today.

Fascinating and thought provoking

Angellynne.

It’s become a new narrative for me, because I refuse to believe that if the bible was written in a way to include pagan traditions, folklore, and supporting cast, then how can a Christian say that their way is the only way??? “Satan” tempted us... so then Christ is the messiah... But, what if our God Complex, our subconscious, challenged us not to be constrictive? So, then, Eve is contemplating the temptation, but, rather than a hindrance, it was a challenge to break from mind-controlling...

WTM Admin

Yes, this will start to make sense of everything Angellynne. For example, as you allude to, we can now understand that the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.     In terms of Christianity and Christ, we should say that Jeremy does consider the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in Freedom Essay 39. Our FAQs about religion are also helpful.

Rupert Sheldrake,“A new Science of Life?”

WTM Admin

There is absolutely no pseudo-science involved in Jeremy Griffith’s treatise, and in that respect it bears no comparison to writers such as Rupert Sheldrake and his concept of ‘morphic resonance’. Ultimately, only rational understanding of the human condition can fix up ourselves and our world; as Jeremy explains in chapter 9:6 of his definitive book FREEDOM, “we needed brain food not brain anaesthetic; we needed knowledge—specifically the dignifying, uplifting, healing, ameliorating, relieving, peace-bringing understanding of the human condition. Anything else was an abrogation of the fundamental responsibility that came with our greatest capacity and nature’s greatest invention: our species’ fully conscious, thinking, self-managing, self-adjusting mind.” If you want a fully rational, accountable explanation of life on earth, we recommend Freedom Essay 25 ‘The truthful biology of life’.

Freedom is the best adjective because we now can again allow ourselves to Intuit and be spontaneous of the moment based upon our innate knowledge of our goodness. Bravo thank you

Teresa

Great psychology, explaining the ‘corrupt’ and ‘fallen’ state of humans while leaving God out of the picture; but there is no redemption for us without God. We deserve the words corrupt and fallen, not merely upset. Adam and Eve got it very wrong when they chose to disobey God, thereby allowing sin to corrupt human nature for all generations. Since then, humans have never, ever been able to overcome their sinful nature; no amount of knowledge and explanations can help us deal with the corruption in our natures, only God can do that.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Teresa. We certainly respect people’s religious views however we felt it was important to mention that while religious assurances, such as ‘God loves you’ in Christianity, provided comfort, they failed to explain why we are lovable, and it is that missing explanation that this breakthrough provides. We maintain that now we can understand that the conscious mind was right, or ‘good’ to defy our instinctive self in order to fulfil its great potential to manage life, humanity’s great ‘burden of guilt’ has been removed. ‘Adam and Eve’ were not “wrong” to search for knowledge in the face of their dictatorial instincts, they were demonstrably heroes. For those interested in exploring this further we suggest FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.

Greatly appreciative of this work and sharing, plus other comments shared.

Meron

Well, as an anthropologist I have been studying and researching different human aspects, and ironically I was wondering the same question....as a human what will be our future? Seeing the world full of chaos and greed of money.....we have lost almost all the quality of nature and innate human values that evolve after our consciousness, because the world’s penchant toward a material prosperity than the ideological prespective.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your thoughts Meron. Yes, humanity has certainly lost much of “the quality of nature and innate human values”, but we can now understand and defend our ‘dark side’ – our “chaos and greed of money” as you put it. Jeremy’s thesis explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour!     As is explained in Part 4 of THE Interview, with our goodness now biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

How Can We Experience This Human Condition? It’s So AMAZING !! Your Praying Grama 💯❤️💯🙏🏽 For. LIFE 🥰

WTM Admin

Thanks Delores. At last we can understand we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page. Also FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 explain the far-reaching application of this explanation and Freedom Essay 15 is all about ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’.

Very enlightening topic to follow. I am happy to come across this

James Toussaint

This video makes more sense than anything that I have ever heard. This school of thought can either accepted or denied rather than rejected. I say this as people are scared to change and that starts with changing our thinking....“As a man thinketh so he is”. This video spells truth....believe it or not.

Noah Person

Yes, the Garden of Eden Story is confused. The cause of evil is the recognition that we die which is a an awareness essentially traumatic in its nature over which we crave desperately to control. That sets up the mind to “triggers” when faced by a reminder that we have no such control possible and this is why there can be no true peace. Understanding starts when you realize conflict is from the overlap of desire or need with another being which is the Cain/Abel story. This is a one two punch of stories to kindle compliamce to authority to represent the known. Ultimately no one does or can know about death and so the stretch of hope goes to Christ about that as a possibility. But in truth all of life is filled with competitive violence possibility; jealousy and envy as also about unknowns. So once you win you still strive to win again. Save your money for this book and “Go Blue”! Evil is really about matters of the amygdala and so Ohio State will pay millions for football players to beat Michigan and psychosis is what you get when brought up in an aura of no one to trust.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Noah. We suggest that as you digest this understanding you will come to see that the insecurity caused the instinct vs intellect clash is actually the cause of why we are all selfish and egocentric, rather than “the recognition that we die”. The rational mind (if it were truly rational) should be able to manage the recognition of our mortality, and the “overlap of desire” without becoming psychologically upset. No, there is a huge insecurity over our self-worth that is driving our behaviour.     And regarding the idea that becoming conscious of our mortality must have been “essentially traumatic”: this does not take into account that our ancestors were not originally psychologically upset and at odds with their instinctive self and the rest of the universe which was aligned with that instinctive self, and therefore were not afraid of death. As Jeremy explains in Part 5.2 of Freedom Expanded Book 1, “When we were innocent we were so in tune with everything around us and so happy inside and so alive that death was not an issue. Death is only an issue when we live a wretched life, where we become so selfish that it matters if we die or not. Fear of death is a product of selfishness, which in turn is a product of alienation, which in turn is the loss of the generosity and meaning we once had before we became upset.” Yes, fear of death followed the advent of the human condition, it did not cause it, and when we humans are no longer tortured by the human condition, it will go.

Having lived outside of the USA for many years, the description of humans is clearly the CAUCASIAN Human. Darwin’s “ lower animals ” are who teach us how to live in a tolerant, caring and shared relationship with other creatures.

WTM Admin

As THE Interview explains all humans are born with all-loving moral instincts but now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. So we can at last understand WHY as a species we have become psychologically upset—so competitive and aggressive as to want to dominate and control others. We can also explain that all ‘races’ (ethnic groups) fall somewhere on the spectrum of either being more sheltered from humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, or more exposed to it, and so are either more innocent or more psychologically upset. We can see that at this point of time Caucasians fall somewhere in the middle, with more psychologically embattled races having ‘peaked’ earlier, and less psychologically embattled races yet to peak (see chapter 8:16E of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM), however, the truth is that all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. So the more upset have been overthrowing the less upset since the human condition emerged. However, what is most important is that despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. Now we can understand the human condition we can see that no person or race is superior or inferior. This desperately needed reconciling understanding of the relationship between races is further explained in Freedom Essay 28 and for a testimonial on the power of this information to end racism, we recommend watching/reading the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molisiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Amazing information!! Wow

Genevieve Thomas

It is a shift that the world needs. How comforting to have validation that peace and cooperation are in our true nature. First Darwin has to be dispelled from our education system. And replaced with your information.

WTM Admin

Thank you Genevieve. Just to be clear, Darwin’s theory of natural selection to explain the variety of life on Earth is true; however when people started saying that our behaviour was the result of naturally selected ‘survival of the fittest’ ‘savage instincts’, that was, as Jeremy explains in Part 1 of THE Interview, a contrived excuse we had to resort to until we found the real explanation for our behaviour, which is ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation that is presented here.

Pierre

Could it be that bonobos are similar to humans before becoming conscious (they seem so happy) but that the chimpanzees are similar to humans at the very beginning of our consciousness (they seems so troubled). I saw a video where a group of chimpanzees were encircling an aggressive male chimpanzee. The leader of the group was sitting near the group, his back turned towards them and I had the impression that he was thinking of what he should do next. After a minute or so, the expression on his face became more and more hostile and he then started screaming, hitting the ground and turned towards the group which triggered them to attack this male chimpanzee. Probably just an impression...

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts Pierre. Yes, in Part 3 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith explains that bononbos show something of what it was like for our distant ape ancestors before the emergence of consciousness and our resulting psychologically troubled human condition; and that they also evidence the nurturing based ‘love-indoctrination’ process that created our all-loving instinctive self or ‘soul’. With regard to chimpanzess, the key biological distinction between humans and other animal species is that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. And so the source of our selfish aggressive behaviour is not ‘animal instincts’ such as the chimpanzees display.     Without the defence of our aggressive behaviour we have not been able to admit how cooperative our heritage is, and therefore how entirely cooperative and loving our instincts are. However, we now have that redeeming biological defence of our condition, and with that defence, it does become very clear that the idea that we have savage instincts is just an excuse that we used. You might be interested in FAQ 5.2 ‘What do bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’

Just thank you, thank you, thank you.

MICHAEL L HENSON

It is a wonderful concept that we are born with loving moral instincts. If we become capable of accepting and living this human condition we would become an amazing new world. The world is so far removed from this idealistic condition that I wonder “how realistic is such a goal”? We would solve racism and there would be no need for left wing and right wing politics. I would love to learn how this wonderful concept could become a reality and stop the direction of our present world where the love of power far exceeds the power of love and we will eventually face extinction.

WTM Admin

Yes, it is precious to know that we have “loving moral instincts”, but what is truly key about what Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview is that we can now defend our non-loving, im-moral behaviour. We can now understand why our intellect had to defy our “loving moral instincts” and suffer becoming psychologically upset as a result. It is only this that allows us to “become capable of accepting” the truth of our loving heritage, otherwise it just made us feel guilty about our non-loving, im-moral behaviour. Yes, ultimately, only this defence of our ‘dark side’ and with that our ability to love it could bring love and compassion back to the world; it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough! Again, we recommend as a start point our FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 which explain the far-reaching application of this information. You might also be interested in our FAQ 1.40 ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Let the journey begin

Kylie Fairweather

This was an amazing interview. Something has to be done about the lies that we have been told for centuries. Our Government have profited off there concepts that trick us for centuries.

WTM Admin

Thank you Kylie: yes, it is an amazing interview. There is a huge amount to get your head around, which takes a little time, but now we can understand the human condition, we can see that everyone has suffered from it, and all our institutions, including our governments and media, have just been a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. There is no ‘us and them’; it is all us. But with the human condition now solved, everything changes – our FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 may be helpful as they talk about the rapidly transforming effects of this new, world-changing knowledge.

Sandra

Ok let’s go

Ursula Conway

I’m so excited to hear this

Frank

How does this explain that some of these conscious humans perpetrated genocide and crime whilst others didn’t; might it not be that those who perpetrated violence and destruction had the psychosis e.g. the white race etc.

WTM Admin

Hi Frank, as Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview, humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour, or what has historically been called ‘evil’. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’. With this instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition we can also now explain that the more innocent or sheltered ‘races’ (ethnic groups) have not been as exposed to humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge as less sheltered races (including “the white race” that you mention) and so they aren’t as psychologically upset as those less sheltered races, see FAQ 9.2 ‘Are some races more innocent?’. However, all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. Also, most significantly, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this understanding puts an end to racism and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, and Refentse Molosiwa, of South Africa, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Leonard Nteonwe

It is going to be uncommon transformation for a world inclined to extinction.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Leonard, the world certainly is in a terrifying endgame situation and this breakthrough has arrived at the 11th hour. At last we have the greater understanding and solution to our selfish and destructive human condition. We can know we actually do have loving moral instincts but, as a result of our conscious mind having to search for knowledge, we humans unavoidably and necessarily become angry, egocentric and alienated, and as a result we are more than capable of destroying each other and our environment. The relieving news is we can turn this doomed situation around and quickly! We suggest FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world?’ and FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains the astonishing claims being made about Jeremy Griffith’s work do warrant initial scepticism however they all withstand scrutiny as what he presents is 100% logic so we encourage you to watch THE Interview and judge for yourself!

Thanks for sharing a unique, exciting, thought provoking, biological explanation of our Human Race! Look forward to hearing more unknown scientific explanations of human nature as the Best Creature on the Earth.

Michelle Gilbertson

Finally we can work together as a species with scientific research and knowledge to help us get our way back to our “Authentic Selves ”.It seems as though stepping out of our comfort zones to further evolution has bread fear. We fear rejection from indifference. The Human Condition is born out of lack of love and inclusion. Thank-you for sharing this with our world.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Michelle. Yes finally having explanation of the human condition means we can work together and rehabiliate ourselves and our world! As Jeremy Griffith explains, the source of our fear is our fear of the issue of the human condition – the insufferable, unbearably depressing guilt and shame for having destroyed the ‘comfort’ of our all-sensitive world of our soul or ‘authentic self’ and becoming psychologically upset — which means we are terrified of opening the door on the subject at all. That is until now because, as Jeremy explains, the human condition is borne out of the unavoidable clash between our all-loving instincts and our intellect, namely that our emerging conscious mind had to defy our instincts in order to find the knowledge we needed to understand the world and our place in it. We think you will especially love watching the companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect (here on our website) which outlines more comprehensively the definition of our human condition and why engagement with the subject has been so fearful it can be initially hard to grasp.

I truly don’t find this accurate. Not being rude but there is misunderstanding in this conclusion. No conclusion because of the BENEVOLENT FACTOR. It can’t be figured out in our human minds. We don’t have the capability of comprehending it as humans. It’s not meant to be figured out.

Hendrik Hölscher

Fascinating.....I would like to read a lot more on humancondition.com

Very good interview

Ernest Foss

I have worked as a Care Giver and in Support groups. Happiness is what you can be less of too, less problems, less character flaws, less behaviors. We may be subjected to the caffeine in our blood stream, our blood sugar, vitamin deficiencies, as well as societial influence. Also the human condition. this is great!!

WTM Admin

Hi Ernest and thank you for your thoughts. We suggest the more one digests Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation the more they see that our unhappiness and “flawed” behaviour and need for stimulants are merely symptoms of our condition and which will not change until we solve this dilemma of the human condition, and bring self-understanding to the human situation. You may find reading FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ and FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding solve everything?’ helpful.

Sherry Ann White

I really appreciate and needed to hear this message and interview.

Very meaningful interview

Tibor Barna

When is the question going to find an answer as to what is the purpose of the CREATOR making life when much of life is filled with torment, pain, suffering and at the end of it all what benefit do people receive from the life experience?

WTM Admin

Thankfully at last we do have the answer to the question of what is the meaning of life and human suffering Tibor. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. (You might find our FAQs about religion of interest, in particular FAQ 6.2 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’?) In this interview Jeremy Griffith explains how humans were born with all-loving, moral instincts and how we now suffer from a universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. We became psychologically upset and alienated from our original selfless state because of our conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge and it is this upset that has caused all the suffering you describe. What is so significant about this is we can now understand we rightly left our loving, soulful instinctive state and suffered becoming corrupted in soul in order to fulfil the great potential of our conscious mind. So at last we can understand just how heroic the human journey to find knowledge has been and we no longer have to carry the immense burden of guilt and shame for having corrupted our original innocent state. It establishes that we are good and not bad after all and lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition and therefore all the suffering it caused. So with this solution we now have the ultimate benefit of the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing biological understanding of the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition—thus ending all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map for the complete rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world! There is much to consider and absorb here Tibor so we suggest you watch our four key introductory presentations, which begins with THE Interview, HERE on our homepage and also read one of Jeremy’s latest books OUR MEANING which explains ‘How being able to know and fulfil the great objective and meaning of human existence finally ends human suffering’.

Margie

Don’t understand the concept at all! Could you please resume in plain language what it all means! Also, do you believe in God and his commandments this is a good start to change the world for the better, I think!

WTM Admin

Hi Margie, while great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), opening up the underlying issue in all human affairs of the human condition does mean that there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered, which make up Parts 2, 3 & 4 of THE Interview. However, FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.     We certainly respect people’s religious views and Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition doesn’t actually contradict a belief in God or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth about human life albeit from that pre-scientific view. You might find our FAQs about religion of interest, especially FAQs ‘What is God’ and ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

Michael Laverty

Yea I’m a little confused as to what you think you could say to me that’s going to up and transform my life into the stratosphere where I will finally understand why we are what , Here ? and that knowledge is going to do what for me ? Are you just the next Tony Robbins ?

WTM Admin

First up Michael this is first-principle biological explanation of our human condition not some ‘feel good’ motivational escapism. To quote Jeremy Griffith: “the world out there is absolutely chock-a-block full of pseudo-idealistic, [the motivational speaker] Tony Robbins-types, ‘how to feel good about yourself’, ‘go to the ashrams in India’, pseudo-idealism. They’re all about patching up, only dealing with the symptoms of the problem, actually avoiding the issue of the human condition, making you feel together, calm and connected, but they’re not really dealing with the human condition at all ... the mind’s still unresolved. Half of the human head is brain and it wants understanding, so dogma, like the pseudo-idealistic New Age movement, or the politically correct movement, aren’t dealing with the human condition, they’re actually avoiding it. They’re a way to make you feel good about yourself without dealing with the human condition, it’s an escape.” (From Freedom Essay 61, Part 3)     Also we encourage people to be sceptical and look into this new science. As our FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, the astonishing claims being made about Jeremy’s work do warrant initial scepticism however they all withstand scrutiny as what he presents is 100% logic. People find once they begin exploring the explanation the more they do the more they realise the claims are actually true, and in time become appreciated for their forthright honesty in indicating where the solution to our problems lies — as the commendations on our homepage Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thinkers attest.     In terms of what this knowledge can do for you solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source. We can now understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness, so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. This is the rapidly transforming effect of being able to understand the human condition, however because it presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking it does take a little time to fully grasp. We suggest you watch Part 4 of this interview and also Video/Freedom Essay 15 which briefly outlines ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’ which also explains why this transformation is NOT another dishonest, deluded way of adopting a more cooperative and selfless way of living. From there our Transformation page has everything you need to know about the transformation progress and what it can do for you and the world.

Julie

Very anxious to learn more about this, I think it would be good to listen to in a subliminal message after reading/hearing! I am gonna encourage everyone I know to check all this out and the idea it is all free tells me that it is coming from a place of truly wanting to help mankind not make money, I kept waiting for the video to stop and make me enter a debit card to subscribe to see more, but it never happened! Thank you for sharing this revelation with the world! A gift we never knew we wanted, but needed badly!

WTM Admin

Your enthusiasm to learn more about the human condition is wonderful Julie and yes there is absolutely no money required. The work of the WTM is a scientific pursuit and was not created for profit, so all of our information and materials (including books, videos, podcasts and membership) are provided absolutely free of charge on our website (no email required). Your suggestion of people listening to a subliminal message after hearing THE Interview may be referring to the challenge of fully absorbing all that is presented. We suggest our FAQ 1.16 as it explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Wonderfully, however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all “gifts” of understanding the human condition — so no subliminal message is required! We also recommend watching Jeremy Griffith’s astonishingly revealing presentation The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect (which is the companion presentation to THE Interview) and you can access it HERE on our website.

This is something I’ve been searching for.

Interesting and valuable, highly interested please

Trevor Beaumont

Thank you for this very enlightened message of the human condition. It is well portrayed and worth listening to for the full length. However none of this is new to anyone on a spiritual journey, when one discovers the separation of heart and mind, our duality of the human condition. A lot of work has been done by the HeartMath Institute and also the work of Dr Joe Dispenza who has taken this re-uniting of mind (consciousness) and heart to the next level. Thank you again for this interview

WTM Admin

It is wonderful you found THE Interview enlightening Trevor and we appreciate you commenting. What is being introduced is a new scientific paradigm, based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition, so we suggest it does take some time to fully digest and see that it is indeed very new. As the eminent psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen says this is “the most important interview of all time” because it “is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race…that saves the world”. So Jeremy Griffith’s work couldn’t represent a more significant breakthrough as it presents the psychosis-addressing-and-solving real explanation of the human condition that can finally relieve and heal our deeply conflicted and troubled upset state. You may find FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does this instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ of interest.     Jeremy is in the process of writing the new Freedom Essays 63: ‘Pseudo Therapy/Healing’ and Freedom Essay 64: ‘Real Therapy/Healing’ (an outline of which is at each of these links) that cover the work of Joe Dispenza, Bruce Lipton and others and the huge difference between what they are promoting, which is essentially an extremely dishonest and superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angle, and Jeremy’s instinct vs intellect treatise. As THE Interview explains it is our destructively behaved, so-called human condition that really has to be dealt with if we are to solve the world’s problems and heal the human race — bring about a lasting “re-uniting of our mind and heart”. To do this we had to answer the age-old question of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, are we so angry, competitive and selfish?, and this required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents.

Elijah Ken Nyirongo

Great

jean Ranaivoarisoa

The interview was very enlightening, the human condition can be healed. Should we wait patiently for the process of transformation, or must we start loving selflessly?

WTM Admin

Thank you Jean. What you will find as you digest this understanding is that you will begin to see that we have all been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth; and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly. This knowledge will make you more secure and less in need of proving your worth. What Jeremy also explains though (see Sermon On The Beach for example), is that this process of healing will take generations and the priority is to save the world. So what this biological understanding of our fundamental goodness means is that we immediately choose to legitimately return to a selfless way of living.

Wow, just wow.

Kamrul Hassan

This interview is eye-opening. I am so enthralled that I shared it in my timeline and also now writing a Bengali translation of the main message embedded in the talk for larger Bangladeshi friends attached to me in the Facebook. As an interviewer Craig Conway is brilliant and Professor Jeremy Griffith is a genius. I salute him for his redeeming discovery of finding a solution to our sufferings and his noble attempt to save the mankind.

Dana Moss

Has me really thinking how we could change the world

WTM Admin

Yes Dana, solving the core insecurity that has been driving all our destructive behaviour is the key to ‘changing the world’. FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 are helpful as they talk about the far-reaching practical applications of this understanding. Joining our Facebook Group is also highly recommended because there is so much helpful, practical and inspired discussion taking place there about how this immensely relieving understanding fixes the world.     We also recommend our How To Help page which includes all the ways you can help support this critical breakthrough and help bring that change about!

This is very interesting and makes big sense too!

Great Im in..

Jason

I didn’t hear anything in this interview that will actually change anything just having that knowledge....either everyone in the World, all humans, change.....or nothing else will change. Too me that is common sense I had already before hearing the interview. Why say it saves the World when as you can see the World is not saved, it’s continuing the same today as it did yesterday. So why anyone sees this as so eye opening and profound is beyond me

WTM Admin

It does take a little time to fully absorb the significance of finally being able to understand the human condition and how our behaviour will naturally change as a result, so we do counsel patience. We suggest as you do digest this, what you will realise is that being able to understand that we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness means that with our goodness now biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page.     Certainly this project necessarily has a slow start, however humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can! And so even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview!     You may also find our FAQ 1.40 helpful titled ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? – In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful?’. It is explained there that even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level.

What about people who have mental health illnesses

WTM Admin

Thank you for your question Susan. The psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen’s response to the question ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis? – see FAQ 1.34 – is illuminating. Professor Prosen explains, “While we can expect instances of neurochemical/neurobiological based conditions, in my experience we can’t underestimate how much our psychology affects our biology. What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin.”     Yes, we can at last understand the source of our upset and bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others and, most significantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us — as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises. This FAQ explains that everyone and especially those with mental health issues need to manage their exposure to this very confronting information, and any information we do provide should not be used as, or as a substitute for, professional counselling.

Respected Psychologist, This reality of human psychology or human’s condition has been hidden many years. Due to that humanitarian people defeated so world is vulnerable for society. Human beings are not able to know their own ill psychological condition. That condition encourages to make inhuman decisions, occurs aggression, ego, anger which are suffering innocent people in the world. This idea will help to know the condition of own psychology to realize their thought, decisions and activities why such negative behaviors are coming up how to correct them. World is very vulnerable due to such negative behaviors. People with imbalances psychology hampers individual, society, nation and the world. This paradigm shift in psychology is true and needs to spread this idea to each sector, level and field. We have to write this ideas in several languages. Thank you for this effort to bring a true condition of mind of human beings. Best wishes Komal Poudel Sociologist

Satyanandan C

This theory deserves to be given maximum publicity. A heinous crime committed in a hospital in Kolkata, India recently, still very much in the news on account of doctors' protests, is an extreme example of the human condition. It seems to me that the dire need of the hour is to bring about a psychological transformation, not only in respect of the perpetrators but also of the affected society which more often than not reacts with a total lack of understanding or analysis of the situation. Congratulations, Jeremy.

WTM Admin

Thank you Satyandandan. We are not aware of the event you refer to, but in the extreme, humanity’s psychological upset has caused terrible atrocities. Thank God humanity can now begin the process of rehabilitating itself.

The government’s are totally responsible for our current condition

WTM Admin

There is a huge amount to get your head around, which takes a little time, but now we can understand the human condition, we can see that everyone has suffered from it, and all our institutions, including our governments, have been a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition, addressing the source of our selfish psychological upset, could we achieve real and lasting change and stop the destruction of our world that is happening everywhere we look. You may find these FAQs helpful, FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding solve everything’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power?’
