Wow!! Is this a new rabbit hole to go down! Amazing information I’ve not seen or heard anything like this before. I’ve just begun to delve into this information.

WTM Admin

Hi Angela, we welcome your interest! As you say this is new and amazing information so it’s understandable to be a little sceptical but we encourage you to delve into this further as you are doing as we suggest, you will quickly realise, this is the opposite to going down a rabbit hole. This critical new science presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking so it does take a little time to fully grasp its implications, but essentially explanation of our human condition gives us the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour in ourselves and in everyone else and our behaviour changes naturally as a result, see FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is this important to my life’. Also as our FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, Professor Harry Prosen, a former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, has endorsed the significance of Jeremy Griffith’s treatise, saying “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.” Sending you lots of encouragement and you can always contact us with any questions you may have or further thoughts you’d like to share.

Angela Brown

Very interesting, how to reach the ignorance of the people? , it starts with your own family then will spread positive energy. Now I understand why Iv never have wanted anything to do with any kind of religion, and managed to bring up a caring loving family to be compassionate and try to understand every human being .

WTM Admin

Yes, what the instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition does is establishe that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously psychologically upset from humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. This is the ultimate understanding that allows us at the bottom level to be “compassionate and...understand every human being.” This is what Jeremy’s treatise does and why it is heralded as being able to save the world.

David Olang Makuach Lham

It’s very impressive and helpful. This is really practically acceptable and it would make changes easier.

Parvaiz Raja

I’m excited to finally have scientific evidence supporting what I discovered spiritually years ago—that living in peace and harmony is the key to resolving the human condition. It’s no longer just a spiritual belief but a concept now backed by science as the true path to freedom.

WTM Admin

The great question is why we don’t naturally live in “peace and harmony”. To answer that we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when these universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. As Part 4 of THE Interview explains, leaving or transcending our psychologically upset condition wasn’t the solution to that question. Ultimately we needed to confront and explain the source issue, which is what Jeremy Griffith has done with the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work. It couldn’t be more significant because at last we can explain away the guilt and shame we carried for not “living in peace and harmony” — for living at odds with our selfless moral conscience.

Ahmed

Great to watch this brilliant interview

Finally a bit of good news. Fabulous

Very true analysis of mankind’s past history and how destructive we are 🙏

Good luck with getting the white lab coat brigade to accept this idea of “The Human Condition” and its solution!

WTM Admin

Yes, as is explained in FAQ 1.10, human-condition-avoiding, mechanistic, reductionist, deductive science is an extremely limited and compromised form of science. As Templeton Prize-winning biologist Charles Birch, who was Jeremy’s professor of biology at Sydney University, said, “[mechanistic] science can’t deal with subjectivity [the issue of our psychologically distressed condition]…what we were all taught in universities is pretty much a dead end” and “Biology has not made any real advance since Darwin”. Indeed, mechanistic science is now so farcically dishonest and discredited in the public’s mind that many people have lost interest in it to the point of dismissing it as of no real use to us in terms of being able to understand and manage our behaviour! Freedom Essay/Video 14 makes this discreditation very clear.     Thankfully mechanistic science can now be replaced by human-condition-confronting-and-solving, truthful, holistic, inductive science—but of course the established, entrenched, traditional mechanistic scientific paradigm resists this massive paradigm shift. It does this by ignoring the new synthesis, as well as using such outrageously dishonest and irresponsible claims as ‘the new synthesis presents no new data’, is an ‘untestable’ and ‘non-falsifiable’ hypothesis, and is therefore not even science! The same ridiculous accusation was used against Charles Darwin’s Natural Selection synthesis. As is explained in FAQ 1.10, these accusations are transparently false and nothing more than the dying tremors of an old, extremely flawed form of dishonest science that has lived way past its used by date and is rapidly taking humanity to extinction!

Emmanuel James Kpadeh

This interview is one in a million and it comes with great deal of insights and wisdom to analyze the human species in such a way. Thanks for finding the solution to the many problems facing as human species.

Dr. FATOBA KO

This idea is fantabulous. Well done.

Carla

Beautiful interview, thank you! This proposal reminds me of the book “Voices of the Desert” by Marlo Morgan, in which a group of australian aborigins teach her their spiritual and loving way of living in total harmony with amongst them and with their natural environment. Hope your inspiring vision will come true! Kind regards from Argentina. Carla

WTM Admin

What is so significant about the explanation of the human conditon is that this understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. In other words, it explains why we had to leave the “spiritual and loving way of living in total harmony”; and paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why we had to do this, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to actually return to that state!

Brenda Titran

LOVE to hear more !

Just amazing...!!

Sobel

He fails to distinguish between male and female biology. Male biology and female biology are different and lead to differences between us. These need to be acknowledged. I fear this is just more ‘man’ telling us about ‘mankind’.

WTM Admin

THE Interview is about both men and women. It explains the universal psychosis all humans suffer from caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect, which significantly can be healed through understanding. The female perspective is certainly not missing from Jeremy Griffith’s treatise and both the male and female contribution to the human journey are fully explained and equally acknowledged. In fact, matriarchy is finally given the recognition and honour it deserves with Jeremy’s explanation of how it was women’s maternal love that gave us our moral soul and created humanity no less! (This love-indoctrination process is further explained in Freedom Essay 21 and fully explained chapter 5 of his definitive book FREEDOM.) And what is astonishing is that despite our psychologically upset condition this biological treatise establishes all humans are equally good, worthwhile, meaningful and wonderful regardless of gender, age, religion, etc. See biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women in Freedom Essay 9, and also our FAQs on men and women.

I found it very interesting, in a view that it will definitely change the way we see and perceive ourselves as human and living beings. The knowlegde and insights brought about will allow humans to re-wire there psychological organization of their mental representation. This gives us a new paradigm of how we can see ourselves, the others and face life challenges.

Martin Stewart

Some of the humans on our planet, especially the politicians who accept monetary payments & power as their Godly rights, they haven’t evolutioned from the apes yet - they still believe killing is the divine right.

WTM Admin

Martin, we can now understand that all humans are born with loving moral instincts not ‘savage ape-like instincts’ but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. What also becomes clear on digesting this explanation of the human condition is that all humans, not just business men, politicians and crooks, suffer from the psychologically upset state of the human condition. With Jeremy’s instinct v intellect explanation we can at last understand WHY as a species we corrupted our loving moral instincts – and with that understanding now available, everyone’s insecure, defensive behaviour is made redundant, and we can free ourselves from the human condition. See FAQ 1.40, which addresses ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

It can transform, humans' minds and lifes!

Mark

Very excited and relieved to hear this interview. Despite my lifeling and often joyful pursuit of understanding, the last decade has been a personally devastating time of psychic distress. Feelings of “it’s all been for nothing” and “why bother?” have overwhelmed my socialization skills and my motivation for basic self-care. I have felt alone and angry at the entire human race. The Interview reminded me of I had learned in life, and provided enough new insight to create a new “big picture” by which to govern my thoughts and behavior. I look forward to spending time with the information the WTM offers. Thank you!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Mark. Yes, the human condition has certainly been a deeply tragic reality for anyone looking on with any degree of honesty. However, the core breakthrough of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that the core goodness of ourselves as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves and others with great compassion and kindness. Importantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us or the world, as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises.

María del Valle García

Excellent information.

Johan Beets

I understand, how do I practice this in every day life? It gives me an understanding on why but we still live in this current awakening stage how do I handle the masses thats not “there yet”

WTM Admin

Hi Johan. Good questions. We recommend reading our FAQ 1.50 which addresses the questions, ‘How do I not become frustrated when the people I want to share this information with can’t get through the Deaf Effect? / What do I do when my family and friends can’t ‘hear’ this? / How do I deal with the world’s scepticism and apathy to this breakthrough?’ It includes the following advice:     "...the ‘deafness’ of the world around you is absolutely manageable once you understand why it exists, and in the meantime we can all keep living for this world-saving understanding and doing our best to share it; we just keep supporting it in whatever way we can (see our How To Help page) and that is completely fulfilling (see our Transformation page), and unstoppable momentum will build. It may take time for people to realise this breakthrough is what it says it is but once it catches on—through people such as yourself recognising the importance of it, and influential thought leaders becoming aware of it—the infectious enthusiasm and selfless love it liberates will spread like wildfire! And every day the WTM is breaking through the wall of denial and silence about the human condition more and more, and so our numbers are growing all the time, which you can be inspired by and take comfort in! As Jeremy writes in Sermon On The Beach, ‘It won’t be long before everyone you walk past will be smiling and happy because they know about the Transformed Way of Living and how it saves the world. This eleventh hour breakthrough redeeming understanding of ourselves means the outlook of the human race is going to change from terror about the state of the world to sublime relief and happiness!’ So yes, that inner knowledge that we now have the means to transform ourselves and the world through understanding provides us with a completely contented and meaningful, and absolutely exciting way to live."

Timaima vatuwaliwali

Great information thank you so much

Alfred

Thinking critically: Let’s look very closely to the first 10 people who understood that. Did they change to a lifegiving loving life? If it “takes generations to change” that’s not science.. One person already prooved how love can change everybody willing instantly - 2000 years ago :)

WTM Admin

Just because a new idea takes time to be taken up, and for its influence to be felt, does not mean it is not science. Not only was Darwin’s idea of natural selection not taken up be everyone immediately (it still hasn’t been), it was not universally applied to breeding for a long time. And in the case of the individual coming across Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition, it has to be understood that there is a lot of habituation to overcome in changing our behaviour because humanity has been living in great fear of the subject of our corrupted condition ever since it emerged millions of years ago with the emergence of consciousness. However, Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’, does present the answer to how we can immediately change to a “lifegiving loving life” immediately. As you mention it explains it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its affects. At last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. How this healing is immediately open to us all is further explained in Freedom Essay 15 ‘How our lives can be immediately transformed’ and the Transformation section of our website is brimming with invaluable insight and personal affirmations.

Cathy Burnley

This is so insightful and as he repeats time and time again the word love it makes me think us as humans have forgot how to love our brothers and sisters and if you think about what the old time people used to say, treat people the way you want to be treated That’s to be loved. Just think about our loving our babies we all have them that fur baby no matter how many times you’re mean to him or scold him for doing something wrong. Two minutes later he will climb in your lap and love you unconditionally. That’s why the humans have forgot how to do. Period.

WTM Admin

What is so important about what Jeremy Griffith has presented is that it explains why we lost the ability to “love our brothers and sisters”. We can now understand that we had to suffer self corruption - becoming selfish and angry and egocentric – in order to continue the search for knowledge. With our so called ‘dark side’ now defended, we can now admit our innocent, loving instinctive self/soul, which we can see so clearly in children, because it no longer condemns how corrupted we had to become. With the ego now championed we can once again return to that selfless, loving, joyful state. That is what is ahead of humanity now.

Joanne

Beautifull information

Elizabeth

Absolutely. l would love to endorse this interview, what Jeremy is saying due to my own life experiences.

Jeanette morandini

This really made so much sense to me. To be open to such a new way of thinking about such a complex subject. A door has been opened and we can now look forward with hope for mankind, as we step forward and embrace freedom.

Linda

None of this is amazing or some new science.. So we developed conciousness and that meant we struggled with our innate natural instincts and desires. Great. This information is not new, nor is it revolutionary (Unlike Darwin). This site claims that it changes the world. How? Basically it explains and justifies a whole lot of war and pain inflicted on humans and animals for no fucking reason. We are a terrible species that will destroy itself, others, and our planet.

WTM Admin

What is new Linda, is that it explains that the “struggled with our innate natural instincts” we became psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated. Here is the source of all humans' dreadful behaviour; the source of “a whole lot of pain inflicted on humans and animals”. BUT - and this is incredibly important - we can now understand that the conscious mind was right to defy our instincts. It had to do so in order to search for knowledge and fulfil its potential to manage life. It turns out that we are not a “terrible species”, but the heroes of the whole story of life on earth! This is of great importance because having found the good reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our defensive, ‘bad’ behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. There couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.

Ann Natale

I don’t consider myself stupid, but I don’t understand any o this

WTM Admin

Ann, our historic fear of the subject of the human condition has meant that until it was solved we have sensibly had to block it out of our minds, which makes ‘hearing’ about it very difficult. So it’s very common for people to initially find Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation difficult to access or ‘hear’, see FAQ 1.16. But with patience and perseverance this ‘Deaf Effect’ reaction can be overcome and the reward is the ultimate enlightenment — freedom from all the fears and horrors of the human condition. After watching THE Interview we recommend people watch The Great Guilt video because in it Jeremy gives an astonishingly interesting and important description of The Great Burden Of Guilt that has finally been lifted from the human race, and the ‘Deaf Effect’ its lifting typically causes us to initially experience.

Julie West

I just love this segment it was just so enriching and intriguing and it really makes a person think you know and it is actually it’s true we’ve been conditioned all our lives so it’s about retraining ourselves to be more God like but that’s all as far as we can do now is pray I do believe in prayer but if this message gets to more people and they actually give it a chance to listen to the whole interview then actually think about it give it a chance you know and I think the more you listen to it and more the more you believe in it then you’ll be doing that even more cuz it’ll be subconsciously in your brain so God bless you and put me on your list I’d like one of your books that would be awesome very appreciative so thank you very much have a wonderful day

WTM Admin

Hi Julie. Thank you for your appreciative comment. Yes, we find that as we digest this understanding of the source of our psychologically upset behaviour all our angst and upset slowly subsides. We no longer have to live with this terrible sense of guilt, which as you say, we have only been able to assuage through religion and prayer; but restraining and transcending our anger, alienation and selfish egocentricity could only do so much; the obvious truth is we needed to resolve it at its source and that is the great breakthrough Jeremy’s work presents.     Jeremy Griffith’s key books, including his definitive book FREEDOM, are freely available on our homepage here to read online, print and download. You can also purchase hardcopies and download free Kindle versions from Amazon.

Thaddeus Vannice

I need to ponder.

WTM Admin

Absolutely Thaddeus, it is key to stop and ponder what is being presented, because that is the way to get your head around this critical new science which presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking. As Jeremy Griffith points out (in Part 2 of this interview) the issue of the human condition has been such a denied and off-limits subject that confronting it represents the “biggest of all blasphemies” so it does take time and patience to consider and adjust to all these understandings explain. To help you in your consideration you might like to subscribe to our mailing list where you will recieve our Freedom Essay series, the free course that guides you through much of the content of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM in beautifully illustrated bite-size pieces. charle Horse

I just dont get it

WTM Admin

Thank you for your consideration Charle. While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview) the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can make it hard to absorb all that is explained in one viewing. Our FAQ 1.16 explains what is needed to overcome this initial ‘deaf effect’ is a preparedness to re-read and/or re-listen to what is being written or said. This process erodes our historic denial thereby allowing the biological understanding to become accessible. In a nutshell THE Interview explains humans’ selfish and competitive behaviour is not a product of unchangeable savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by a clash between our instincts and intellect. We became psychologically upset (what historically we called ‘bad’ or ‘evil’) and alienated from our original selfless state because of our conscious mind’s necessary, and indeed heroic, search for knowledge. Significantly however, as Jeremy explains in Part 1, “it is actually really good news that our behaviour is due to a conscious-mind-based psychologically troubled condition because psychoses can be healed with understanding. If our competitive and aggressive behaviour was due to us having savage instincts then we would be stuck with that born-with, hard-wired, innate behaviour.” So what is being presented couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough as our FAQ 1.3 ‘What is the explanation of the human condition’ summarises.

Listening and Learning

Bryon Penner

The biggest division in our society has been perpetuated through employment. We have been led to believe that our employers interests are against our own. Is it not true that both you and your employer simply want to “capitalize on opportunities in your respective marketplaces? Possibly rejecting the division that has been sowed and work cooperatively with your employer would be immensely more productive for both. Collective bargaining distances the individual from being accountable for their own productivity and gives the “dog f’er” the same compensation as the most productive based on qualification, not productivity. That is why I quit union membership very early on.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Bryon. We suggest there is a much deeper issue driving our divisive behaviour. What is explained here is that our self-interest and competitiveness, are symptoms of our insecure human condition which all humans suffer from, so ultimately, to reform those behaviours we have to end that underlying insecurity, get to the core of the problem and fix that which is what biologist Jeremy Griffith has done and presents here in THE Interview. For instance, we can now understand that our emerging conscious mind came into conflict with our pre-established instincts, causing us to become insecure and psychologically upset, which we then compensate for through selfishness and competitiveness – see FAQ 1.3 for a nutshell summary. So with this conflict explained all those divisive insecure behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from that state and can legitimately return to a cooperative way of living. This is further explained in FAQ 1.40 which answers the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Jackie Brummage

Wow, this is amazing! Now if only people would do this! We need to before we are no more!

Maria del Rosario Barrios

Thanks, for your powerful reserchers, and information, for popullation’s minds to help, and comprende more, it world, 🌎 in destruction. If, we could see, every habitant, as part, of one entire body, forming, our planet. Perhaps, it world doesn’t have, psicópatas, crazy, or sick minds, killing, leading, reducing habitants, and having excessive avarice. “It’s because all persons, on Earth Planet, could be one!” If, people, could understand it, there weren’t competitions, racism, discrimination, hunger, poverty, pain, illnesses, control, and differences. In this way, people could be, more happy, living in peace, armory, loving, caring, each other, in all the global countries. I believe, your research, and wonderful videos, can transform, many minds, on it Earth Planet, for a better living! Thanks!

WTM Admin

Thank you Maria and yes the research and information that Jeremy Griffith presents at last explains our contradictory nature at its source, relieves the underlying insecurity driving our upset “sick” behaviour, and ends it! This is the great breakthrough significance of his instinct vs intellect biological explanation that “can transform minds” and allows us to “be one” again. This is summarised in FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’. Also, as you say we need to comprehend our destructiveness, which is paramount and distinguishes Jeremy’s work from new age movements. To quote FAQ 6.5: "There has been much talk of the need to love each other and the environment, but the real need on Earth has been to love the dark side of ourselves, to find reconciling and redeeming understanding of our species’ extraordinary capacity for brutality, selfish indifference to others, hate, anger, oppression, meanness, cruelty, devastation and destruction—to explain the psychological origins of our deeply distressed so-called human condition and by so doing heal our troubled souls and set ourselves free from our 2-million-years corrupted condition. And it is precisely that all-important explaining, redeeming, reconciling and liberating understanding of ourselves that is presented in biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work."

Listening to the presentation

Rondia Jefferson

This absolutely makes sense. So people are choosing to be the way they are. Of course. We do get trapped. Because of our society and upbringing.

WTM Admin

Hi Rondia, it’s wonderful to have your interest! Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview that all humans are born with loving instincts, not competitive animal instincts, but now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. So yes when you say “choosing to be the way they are” our behaviour isn’t genetically determined. As Jeremy says at the beginning: “Yes, our egocentric and arrogant and mean and vindictive and even sadistic behaviour has nothing to do with wanting to reproduce our genes. That was absurd. And it is actually really good news that our behaviour is due to a conscious-mind-based psychologically troubled condition because psychoses can be healed with understanding. If our competitive and aggressive behaviour was due to us having savage instincts then we would be stuck with that born-with, hard-wired, innate behaviour. It would mean we could only ever hope to restrain and control those supposedly brutal instincts. But since our species’ divisive behaviour is due to a psychosis, that divisive behaviour can be cured with healing understanding. So that is very good news. In fact, incredibly exciting news, because with understanding we can finally end our psychologically troubled human condition. It’s the understanding of ourselves that we needed to heal the pain in our brains and become sound and sane again.” Also we can now understand that until we found the real explanation for our selfish and competitive behaviour we have been trapped by the human condition (which society and our upbringings are symptoms of). Wonderfully now we can bring self-understanding to the human situation we can truly be free as solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source — as FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ summarises.

Muse Hasan Mursal

This is, will be a good solution for the world and humans indeed.

Africa Zanella

Thank you for this intersting perspective , whihc of course does noot take into account the multiplicity of forces at work in the Human condition and the societal pressures exerted on it . Neverthe less happy that I found it . Regards from Australia

WTM Admin

Thank you for your feedback Africa and we appreciate your interest. We’d like to suggest because this critical new science introduces a massive paradigm shift in the way we view ourselves and the world it can take some time to see the human condition is driven by one force and that is our psychologically upset state. As FAQ 1.1 ‘What is the human condition?’ discusses it is not uncommon for people to think that the term ‘human condition’ refers to the state of poverty and inequality and other practical hardships and imperfections in human life, but such problems are only superficial manifestations and aspects of the human condition. As THE Interview explains all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans and it’s that underlying issue — our destructively behaved, so-called ‘human condition’ — that has to be addressed and fixed if we are to find a solution to our problems and this is precisely what Jeremy Griffith has delivered with his first principle-based biological understanding of the human condition (see FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’). We hope these links help with you consideration.

RODNEY H PAUL

Very interesting. I see some similarities with the philosophy of the movement of the RAJ YOGA organization that evolved India.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your interest Rodney. We aren’t sure if you have watched all 4 parts of this interview but there is no similarity between Jeremy Griffith’s work and the philosophy of Raj Yoga. In fact our FAQ 6.5 explains the critical difference between his biological treatise and pseudo-idealistic teachings and movements. It explains there have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition and deferring to the soundness of our soul in one form or another, which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere. The reason is because these practices don’t solve the human condition. They don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and bring relieving understanding to it and that is the falseness we can now understand is important to acknowledge. This is especially so given (as the chart in Part 2 illustrates) the increasing levels of upset or psychosis have been increasing so rapidly they are virtually doubling now in each new generation! As Jeremy explains in Part 4: “...socialism, the new age movement, the politically correct ‘woke’ movement, and all the other idealistic movements, were actually all false starts to a human-condition-free world because the upsetting battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, the psychologically relieving understanding of why we are good and not bad, still had to be completed. In fact, while dogmatically insisting that everyone should be cooperative and loving could make you feel that you were doing good and be superficially psychologically very relieving, such insistence on ideal behaviour denied people the freedom of expression and individualism they needed to be able to continue the all-important upsetting search for knowledge. These movements were pseudo idealistic movements that stifled and oppressed the search for the understanding of our corrupted condition that was needed to actually free us from that state.” Thankfully, with this redeeming understanding now found, rather than having to control our upset through restraint and transcendence, our psychological upset can actually subside and heal, and we can truly be liberated from the human condition — see FAQ 1.4 ‘How does being able to understand the human condition end the upset of the human condition?’.

This is exactly what I have been looking for!

christopher dey

Wow I no longer feel like the worlds is against me.Its not deliberate . I forgive with compassion.my shadow will no longer drag its feet.

WTM Admin

Yes Christopher, finally being able to understand the battle between our instinct and intellect is immensely relieving! We can understand our suffering is not deliberate but rather a result of the human condition which is caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. Thankfully, we at last have the understanding that reconciles all the polarities of life that existed under the duress of the human condition which brings an end to all our internal and external isolation or conflict that has plagued our lives, allowing us at last to naturally return to the loving, cooperative world of our soul in a legitimate way. As WTM founding member Tony Gowing said in Freedom Essay 1 (about our historic fear of the subject of the human condition) “We conscious humans needed to be able to understand our way to freedom from our distressed condition; we needed relieving answers for our mind; as Jeremy often says, we needed brain food, not brain anaesthetic—and now, at last, and in the nick of time, we have it! Honestly, the wonder and relief of this biological insight is just endless!” What Jeremy Griffith presents here in this interview fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!!

La comprensión de la conciencia es la base de la sobrevivencía humana. Acabo de ver a lo que me dedicaré el resto de mi vida [Understanding consciousness is the basis of human survival. I have just seen what I will dedicate the rest of my life to (translated from Spanish].

WTM Admin

It’s wonderful to have your interest Juan. Certainly at last being able to understand how humans became fully conscious is key to solving the human condition and therefore ending the terminal levels of alienation and destruction that is happening everywhere we look. In Part 3 of THE Interview biologist Jeremy Griffith explains how consciousness developed in humans some 2 million years ago as a result of nurturing or the love-indoctrination process. This love-indoctrination process is summarised in our FAQ 5.2 ‘How did we humans acquire our all-loving, unconditionally selfless moral conscience?/ What do the nurtured and cooperative bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage?’, and the emergence of consciousness is summarised in FAQ 5.4 ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’. These FAQs include references to where these subjects are dealt with more comprehensively in Jeremy’s Freedom Essay series and his definitive book FREEDOM so there is a wealth of material to explore on our website!     We also wanted to mention you can see all our Spanish translations, including THE Interview and some of Jeremy’s books, including FREEDOM, here on our website.

Sem esse “fenômeno da reencarnação” e da “ação e reação” (ou causa e efeito) é impossível entender o atual comportamento humano [Although this great thinker’s theory is excellent and brilliant, let us consider Freud’s statement: “our conscious mind is like a cork floating on a pool full of water, which is the unconscious”… Spirituality clarifies: Our conscious mind is like a cork floating on an ocean, which is our own experiences throughout time. Without this “phenomenon of reincarnation” and “action and reaction” (or cause and effect), it is impossible to understand current human behavior (translated from Portuguese)].

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts Francisco. We agree Jeremy Griffith’s treatise is brilliant which we maintain is because he answers the fundamental question of why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative, we are so selfish and competitive. To do this required finding the clarifying difference between the way naturally selected instincts differ from “cause and effect”-operating consciousness so yes it is this fundamental explanation we have needed to understand our current behaviour. That is what Jeremy presents here in this interview and why it is being heralded as the biological breakthrough that can save the world. This is further dealt with in FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ as it explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work.     With regard to reincarnation, we should stress that Jeremy’s instinct vs intellect explanation is completely rational and accountable, and in explaining the human condition it allows us to demystify all manner of ‘mystical’ concepts that we have had to employ while we couldn’t explain or even admit our corrupted condition. For example, in chapter 8:11C of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM, he explains that, “It is only the extremely alienated disconnection from our all-sensitive and all-loving soul in humans of more recent times that has left us needing to believe in a physical ‘afterlife’—needing to construct pyramids as a vehicle to supposedly carry us on to another life after we died, or needing to hold onto a belief in reincarnation, etc, etc. But it is love, and our love of love, that is what is truly universal and eternal/everlasting/immortal.” Also our FAQ 6.7 ‘Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’ explains that with understanding of the human condition we can reconcile the spiritual side of our existence with our intellect’s need to search for knowledge; to quote: “we have been horribly separated from, alienated from, estranged from, blocked-out from, the all-sensitive and all-loving seemingly mystical, ‘spiritual’, seemingly other-worldly state that we did once have access to, but now we can know we are actually part of it and so can resuscitate our access to it.”. As well, for those interested, FAQ 1.47 explains the differences between the work of Freud and Jeremy Griffith.     We also wanted to mention that THE Interview has been translated into Portuguese which you can access here on our website.

Della Elder

Thanks so much

Monica Ross

I have been searching for an understanding of why I am so forgiving, kind, and nurturing, especially when many others are not able or unwilling to see themselves from a different perspective. I hope this makes sense. I want the world to be a better place and to feel good living in it. Your video seems to put things in perspective (logically) of understanding the human experience.

WTM Admin

Thank you Monica for your thoughts. As THE Interview explains we have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good but we have never been able to explain our competitive and selfish behaviour and have been searching for this understanding. It takes a little time to fully grasp the universality of what this explains but to truly heal the psychosis we all suffer from, to varying degrees, we have to solve the human condition—end the underlying, core insecurity in us about why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative (“forgiving, kind, and nurturing”) we are so selfish and competitive. This required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here. Only this defence of our ‘dark side’ could bring love and kindness back to the world “to be a better place and to feel good living in it”, because only now are all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defense for why we had to defy our instincts and become so psychologically upset. As you so rightly say it puts “things in perspective (logically) of understanding the human experience” so it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough! This is very interesting!

Jill Jefferson

It’s so unbelievable believable, it gave me a weird sense of comfort.

WTM Admin

To finally have the human condition explained and solved, after living with its burden for so long, can feel unbelievable but the logic of the explanation certainly makes it believable so we get it Jill!! And the relief, and therefore comfort, that brings could feel weird as it is something we didn’t think could ever be explained! Jeremy Griffith talks about this key relief in Part 4 of THE Interview. To quote: “Well, what this real—and actually very obvious—instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously angry, egocentric and alienated from our different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. And this ability to understand and know there was a good reason why the human race became psychologically upset, is the key, relieving understanding we have been in search of ever since we became conscious some 2 million years ago and our corrupted condition emerged. That is the key relief for our mind—being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all…”

Riaz Muhammad

I would suggest, through your movement, at the end, world / human society should be free of conflicts IA.

Murali krishnan

This is very much new 😁 and I am very much interested in this new Concept Of Life.

Battlefield of the mind

Does this all boil down to sin? Sin causes psychological upset and turmoil.

WTM Admin

No. We can now understand ‘sin’ was a pre-scientific term to describe the psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state that resulted from the Instinct vs Intellect clash. So it is more accurate to say that the Instinct vs Intellect clash caused psychologicl upset and turmoil.

Very insightful and definately what the world needs to hear!

Erma

This guyvwork is a masterpiece, the whole world needs to see and watch all the videos and conversations that deal with the topics of his book. I think after the Bible this book is it. I just watch the first interview and it blows my mind body and soul. I will watch all until the end. My heart is already full of life. Thank you.

WTM Admin

Hi Erma, Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. In terms of Christianity and Christ, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view. Our FAQs about religion are also helpful.

Thank you so much I’m so glad in the beginning of the interview that you said no matter what you’re doing stop and really listen thank you

Fantástic, there should be more interviews such as this one. We have a revolution to put in motion if we apply the concepts he shared Thanks / Brazil - Rio de Janeiro

Richard

Not buying it. Humans, like every other animal, are built to survive.

WTM Admin

In Part 1 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith addresses the almost universal excuse for our angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour, which is that it is due to selfish, must-reproduce-our-genes, survival-of-the-fittest, ‘savage instincts’ within us, which is what you are advocating. However, with our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state now defended, it is now safe to admit that our human instincts are loving, having evolved through the remarkable nurturing based ‘love-indoctrination’ process – see Part 3 of THE Interview.

finally, something that makes sense. and, when he used the very choice word of “bullshit”, he validated this explanation as a truth i can wholly resonate with! “thank you” seems so inadequate for such a profound simplicity and understanding of the human race.

Kate

This is remarkable!

Yehoshua Ben David

This means ...? Human can be able to fix himself?

WTM Admin

The key insight of Jeremy Griffith’s treatise is that our selfish and aggressive behaviour is not instinctive, rather it is psychological in origin, the result of a clash between our emerging conscious mind, and pre-established loving instincts. And psychoses can be healed with understanding, so that’s the importance of the psychosis-addressing-and-solving, explanation of the human condition presented in THE Interview — this ‘holy grail’ of all human conscious thought and enquiry brings a complete and permanent end to our insecurity-driven destructive behaviour, transforming all humans into secure and functional beings. Certainly, as Jeremy explains in Part 4 of THE Interview, it will take generations for the upset within us as a species to be completely healed but we can be immediately free of its effects (see FAQ 4.1). As the late Professor Harry Prosen, psychiatrist and former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said: ‘I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race. This is the book we have been waiting for, it is the book that saves the world’ (mentioned in Part 1 of THE Interview).
