I can’t understand it
WTM Admin
The very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because historically the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most terrifying of all subjects to face, and so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it, which means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it. Wonderfully however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! See our FAQ 1.16 which includes the question ‘please send me an executive summary so I have some idea of what you’re trying to say?’.
Also, FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established cooperative instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric – the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

You can find an analysis of Rousseau’s thinking in our FAQ 7.3. Essentially, while he recognised humanity’s original state of innocence, he did not realise that our selfish and aggressive tendencies are psychologically derived, the result of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash. Instead he posited that humans have some degree of selfish instincts, and that with the advent of agriculture and sedentary living and the ownership that went with it, those selfish inclinations came to the fore.

I can’t believe it! What a book! Has Jeremy been nominated yet for the Nobel Prize? When I first heard of the book from my friends who were very excitedly talking about the book, I assumed Jeremy was British or American. I am completely amazed to find out he is Australian. Who would have thought! How do we make those in power understand the nature of the problem and get them to act on this psychological disorder?
WTM Admin
Thank you so much for your wonderful and enthusiastic comment, Angus. Jeremy Griffith’s work is indeed worthy of a Nobel, given he has finally solved this age-old riddle of riddles of the human condition!
Regarding your question as to how to mobilise those in power to the truth of the human condition and Jeremy’s breakthrough treatise, you may find helpful our FAQ 1.40, titled ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? – In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful?’. It is explained there that even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level.
We very much hope that you pursue your interest, Angus, by subscribing to our mailing list and joining our Facebook Group to learn more about the amazing, human-condition-resolved new world that is now possible.

Have always felt that there was never an argument about the Bible and religions being in opposition to each other nor to science. Great thinkers throughout the world’s human behaviour have found different ways to explain. We must listen now also to the Dreamtime stories of the Indigenous people of Australia wth this added insight and explanation by Jeremy Griffith.
WTM Admin
Yes, religions, including those of indigenous peoples, have been a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. With the human condition now explained, religion is finally demystified, and science and religion reconciled. The acclaimed physicist Charles H. Townes summed up this ultimate reconciliation of science and religion best when he wrote, “they [science and religion] both represent man’s efforts to understand his universe and must ultimately be dealing with the same substance. As we understand more in each realm, the two must grow together…converge they must.”
David Childress
Due to the very nature of consciousness how can one Say at what point humans became conscious and other animals did not? Most higher level animals exhibit the same types of self-awareness as humans.
Doesn’t that put a kink in the theory?
WTM Admin
We suggest that one of the great outstanding mysteries of science is the question of what consciousness is, and what Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview is that rather than referring to ‘self-awareness’, consciousness actually means being sufficiently aware or ‘conscious’ of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding. Clearly while other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’ or ‘sentience’, none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing fully conscious minds. It is also worth noting that Jeremy explains that developing consciousness depended on overcoming the competitive, selfish ‘animal condition’ and becoming orientated to selflessness, so if a species is still preoccupied with selfish, competitive dominance, as other animals are, they can’t become fully conscious.
The fossil record shows that a relatively sudden increase in brain volume necessary to house a rapidly expanded association cortex occurred some 2 million years ago (the association cortex is where the association of information necessary for thinking takes place), so it is reasonable to assume that around this point, our ancestors became ‘conscious’. In recognition of this profound change, the name of our ancestors was, at that point in human evolution, changed by anthropologists from Australopithecus to Homo.
We recommend our FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’; and you might be interested to read more about the emergence of consciousness in chapter 7 of FREEDOM, and we would point you to chapter 8 as well, which charts the stages that our conscious mind progressed through with reference to the fossil record.

The only thing that humans learned is the “Lie”. Unfortunately we also inherited the ability to “believe” the lie
WTM Admin
Thanks for your further comment Michael. You might be interested in biologist Jeremy Griffith’s article ‘Why do People Lie’ (which is part of his book The Book Of Real Answers To Everything!) however we suggest you watch THE Interview first as it is the ideal introduction to Jeremy’s treatise. To quote the beginning of ‘Why do People Lie’:
”The reason why people lie and live in denial is because we humans will not accept that we are fundamentally bad or unworthy—AND NOR SHOULD WE! The greater truth about our less-than-ideally-behaved, seemingly-imperfect, ‘good-and-evil’-afflicted, even ‘fallen’ or corrupted HUMAN CONDITION is that while we humans may appear to be a bad or unworthy species, we are in fact the complete opposite!
How this is possible—how humans could be good when we appear to be bad—is the great paradox of the human condition that the whole human race has sought to explain and understand since our species first became conscious some two million years ago. Unfortunately, however, until we found that clarifying understanding of ourselves we needed some way of coping, of protecting ourselves from the unjust condemnation emanating both from within and from the world at large, and so it was that DENIAL or EVASION or LYING became an unavoidable feature of human behaviour.
So that’s why people lie—to protect themselves from unjust condemnation. Since the greater truth is that humans aren’t fundamentally bad, a lie that said we weren’t bad was less of a lie than a partial truth that said we were... Yes, only when we could explain the human condition, explain why we humans are fundamentally good and not bad, would the need for denial/lying disappear from human behaviour.
MOST WONDERFULLY, biology is now at last able to provide this dreamed-of, redeeming, ‘good-and-evil’-reconciling, ‘burden-of-guilt’-lifting, relieving and thus psychologically rehabilitating, human-race-transforming EXPLANATION OF THE HUMAN CONDITION [presented in THE Interview]—which means denial/lying IS now redundant and WILL disappear from human behaviour forever, and no one will ever again wonder why do people lie because no one will ever again need to lie!!... ”

Everything points to lizard “Base brain”Obdula Oblingada" Probably spelled wrong
WTM Admin
Hi Michael, thank you for your comment. The term “lizard brain” refers to the reptilian brain which is the most primitive part of the brain. (The medulla oblongata is the lowest part of the brainstem, connecting the brain to the spinal cord.) Various thinkers have identified a clash between an ancient instinctive part of our brain and the more recently developed intellectual part as being critical to understanding the human condition (see for example biologist Jeremy Griffith’s Freedom Essay 4 includes his analysis of Paul MacLean’s triune brain theory), however what Jeremy is presenting is a completely new take on this basic pattern. We can now understand that unlike other animals our human ancestors developed completely loving and cooperative instincts through the nurturing based love-indoctrination process (which is explained in Part 3 of THE Interview). It can then be explained that the source of angry, egocentric behaviour is not selfish, survival instincts within us, or the thwarting of our reptilian brain’s impulses, but is due to a universal psychosis caused by a clash between those loving, but dictatorial instincts, and our emerging intellect. We recommend reading FAQ 1.13 “Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?”, as it explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work.

Break this explanation down so that a high school student in any country in the world could understand as today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders...Peter in Vancouver bc Canada thank you.
WTM Admin
Hi Peter, thank you for your comment and we appreciate your interest in biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), opening up the underlying issue in all human affairs of the human condition does mean that there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered, which make up Parts 2, 3 & 4 of THE Interview. However, FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.
It is worth mentioning that THE Interview also explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. Interesting children and adolescents generally find it much easier to ‘hear’ this explanation than adults because they haven’t yet adopted this near complete psychological denial of the human condition that just about all adults have had to adopt during their adolescence when they ‘resigned’ to life under the duress of the human condition, the psychological process Jeremy Griffith identifies and terms ‘Resignation’. You can read all about this in Jeremy’s Freedom Essay 30 titled ‘Resignation’, the unacknowledged yet most
important psychological event in human life.

Craig, first timer for your show. Very much Enjoyed The Show and your Guest Jeremy Griffith. Very interesting view of The Human Behavior, Who We Are , Etc. I Agree 💯 with Jeremy’s analysis. I have more years Behind me than in Front of me. I Pray for Unity NOW ✝️💜🙏🏽.
WTM Admin
It’s wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed Craig Conway’s interview with Jeremy Griffith Dianne!! As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, however as you say Jeremy’s analysis makes sense and is understandable the transformation will certainly happen quickly once the world catches on! To quote Jeremy from Part 4 about how this explanation transforms our behaviour: “So there is an enormous amount of upset to subside and heal in us humans, and that will obviously take time. In fact, we have to expect that it will take a number of generations to be completely ameliorated. But the good news, and this is very important, is that while it will take a number of generations to heal all the upset in us humans, everyone can immediately live free of their upset…In fact, to continue using the old artificial defences of retaliation, denial and the search for relieving power, fame, fortune and glory when our fundamental goodness has been established is not only clearly pointless but also unnecessarily destructive of ourselves, everyone around us and our planet. That way of living is now completely obsoleted, finished with.” And as Craig then summed it up “That makes total sense; I mean our artificial ways of reinforcing ourselves are obsoleted by the real reinforcement of ourselves. One way of living ends, a new one begins, free of the human condition—phew, thank God for that!!” This is further explained in our FAQ 1.4 ‘ How can everyone’s lives be immediately transformed?’
We certainly respect people’s religious views Dianne and wanted to reinforce, which from your comment we sense you have understood, that Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity. Indeed his biological explanation of the human condition reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. The difference being that we can now with the benefit of science, bring clarifying, first-principle biological explanation to our so-called ‘good and evil’-afflicted human condition and why we had to depart from our original innocence, whilst religion had to rely on metaphor and a more literal interpretation. In terms of Christianity and Christ, Jeremy does consider the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from that pre-science view, and he has written about Christ’s life and its phenomenal importance in humanity’s journey in Freedom Essay 39. Our FAQs about religion are very helpful and include FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.

WTM Admin
We appreciate your interest Colette. THE Interview explains, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can make it hard to understand all that is explained in one viewing (FAQ 1.16 explains this initial ‘deaf effect’). We suggest you re-watch THE Interview and then watch the companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect (here on our website) as it provides astonishing clarification of why lifting The Great Burden Of Guilt from the human race causes most people to initially experience such difficulty. We hope you persevere Colette because if you watch The Great Guilt it includes examples of people overcoming the deaf effect and shows why being patient through this obstacle is well worth the time!

In a previous reply you say:
Jeremy’s work identifies that the problem of the right-wing is its destructiveness, however, through its support of egocentricity and selfishness, it does encourage the search for knowledge to continue. However the left wing’s insistence on ideal behaviour had the effect of oppressing and thus regressing, not ‘progressing’, the all-important search for knowledge. Most importantly, this understanding brings a profound understanding to both sides which ultimately will bring an end to the whole ugly business of politics.
But it just won’t will it. Selfish and destructive right wing behaviour will just continue. The whole claim to be presenting a messianic truth is just dogma. Left wing thinking doesn’t insist on anything beyond a need to co-operate and collaborate. That possibly flawed way of thinking has a powerful appeal to many. Demonising it simply denies the true complexity of the human condition.
WTM Admin
The extraordinary paradox of the human condition - how we can be good when we appear to be the opposite – takes quite a bit to digest, but understanding it does bring an end to selfish destructive behaviour. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’.

You speak with extreme confidence on abstract concepts of which you, by nature, cannot know anything in absolute terms. Makes it hard to take what is said seriously.
This phenomenon within western human sciences, where everything is overly rationalised and built on unbacked assumptions cheapens the whole field.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment. We suggest that the more you digest this understanding, the more you will see that it is at last possible to obtain a rational understanding of so many things that in the past we have had to leave as “abstract” concepts. This includes our ‘fallen’ corrupted human condition, the integrative meaning of the universe, the real meaning of consciousness etc etc. All these things can now be fully understood; and this doesn’t ‘cheapen’ them at all. As is explained by Jeremy Griffith in FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’, “the demystification of our world doesn’t mean the specialness or extraordinariness or spirituality of our world is removed, rather it actually means that specialness is made more tangible. Mechanistic science, by denying Integrative Meaning and the truth of our species’ original sensitive innocence, has stripped so much of the truth and beauty from the world whereas the denial-free explanation of our world restores all that truth and beauty. It allows humans to live with a full awareness of, and ability to savour, the beauty of integration. It is alienation that is devoid of spirituality, not the truth.”

I always was offended by people saying: ‘we are all sinners, we are born in a world of sin’. this is all nonsense, and therefore Jeremy search is so very true, and also how the narrative of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is well explained now finally.
WTM Admin
Yes, as is explained in THE Interview, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans ‘fall’ or them becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’. However as Jeremy stresses, we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’. And with that redeeming answer to the human condition now found, our psychological upset (so called ‘sinful’ or ‘fallen’ state) can actually subside. Pls explain why bonobos are not driving round in cars, and how did we crawl out of mud and then build pyramids and learn to fly
WTM Admin
Paul, there is a lot to digest here, so suggest you take your time. The first thing to say is that evolution is a gradual process. It is explained that bonobos are undergoing the love indoctrination process, and are at a stage that our distant forebears were in approximately 4 million years ago. Where Jeremy Griffith writes on the emergence of consciousness (see chapter 7 of his definitive book FREEDOM), he explains that this love indoctrination process had the side effect of liberating consciousness (which is why our species was able to “build pyramids” and all the other extraordinary achievements of our intellect). So bonobos still have a long way to go in the emergence of consciousness be able associate information to the extent that they can build and drive cars!

Thanks for your comment Pierre. The following passage from Professor Harry Prosen (a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association), which he wrote for Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM, is relevent to your enquiry: “Since coming across Jeremy’s work 10 years ago and realizing its enormous world-saving significance, I have kept one of his pieces of writing with me at all times. Having these insights into what it means to be human brings such clarity and change to everything, that staying in close contact with them in a world that is so distressed and psychologically crippled brings me relief, security and optimism for the future like nothing else I have ever encountered. Jeremy is the ultimate psychotherapist, the psychotherapist for psychotherapists—in fact, all the great theories I have encountered in my lifetime of studies of psychiatry can be accounted for under his explanation of human origins and behavior.”

Griffith says that true solutions are usually found to be simple, yet he rambles on to propose a FAR TOO COMPLEX explanation of “rehabilitation of the human condition”. (There is a much simpler explanation - one which is also based in the essential goodness of humans.) Towards the end of his video, he reveals his unfortunate (and unscientific) bias against “left”leaning ideation in favor of “right” leaning, infering that only the right has been continuously searching for truth!! What utter nonsense!!! He is on the right track with his discussion of the Bonobos' condition!! All he would need to do is to expand on their condition in order to explain the “Human Condition”, and the small shift in thinking that would be required to “Transform” our world!
WTM Admin
Thanks for your feedback Stuart. We disagree that the explanation of the human condition is “far too complex”. Firstly, it is not as though it is arbitrary - the explanation of the human condition is what it is. But it is actually very simple: when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts.
With regard to politics, Jeremy’s work identifies that the problem of the right-wing is its destructiveness, however, through its support of egocentricity and selfishness, it does encourage the search for knowledge to continue. However the left wing’s insistence on ideal behaviour had the effect of oppressing and thus regressing, not ‘progressing’, the all-important search for knowledge. Most importantly, this understanding brings a profound understanding to both sides which ultimately will bring an end to the whole ugly business of politics. This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics.

I want to know the answer to why we are here
WTM Admin
That is certainly a big question Michelle! However, with the human condition now explained, we are finally in a position to be able to answer it. As Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview explains, we needed to be able to explain why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative, we are so selfish and competitive. This required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great breakthrough Jeremy has found. This gives us is the ability to finally compassionately understand everyone’s behaviour as we can now know that the source of all the anger, egocentricity and alienation is our insecurity about whether or not we are fundamentally good. With our destructive and divisive now defended, it is possible to admit the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence, which Jeremy introduces in Part 3 of THE Interview, and explains in depth in his definitive book FREEDOM, chapter 4.
In FAQ 6.2 Jeremy explains the source of our duality or separation from Integrative Meaning: “the theme or purpose or meaning of existence is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. There is, however, an immense problem admitting this truth of integrative meaning, and that is it unbearably confronts us with our divisive, seemingly disintegrative selfish, competitive and aggressive human condition. The fact is that for a larger whole to form and hold together (integrate) the parts of that whole must consider the welfare of the whole above their own welfare. Simply stated, selflessness is integrative while selfishness is divisive or disintegrative. But this implies that we selfish and competitive humans have been living in defiance of ‘Integrative Meaning’, living in a way that is out of step with creation! In fact, Integrative Meaning has been such a terrifyingly condemning truth that we divisively behaved humans couldn’t face it. And so, to avoid facing it, we deified the process of Integrative Meaning as ‘God’, thus making it something separate and superior to us, not connected to us in an earthly, practical way. So, ‘God’ is the personification of Integrative Meaning, a personification that was necessary while we selfish and competitive humans couldn’t explain why we were seemingly at odds with ‘God’! IT IS ONLY NOW that we have the redeeming explanation of humans’ divisively behaved human condition, that we can at last afford to demystify ‘God’ as Integrative Meaning."

In his book FREEDOM, Jeremy explains the twin political problems we have are the brutality of the right-wing’s need to continue the corrupting search for knowledge free from too much condemning idealism, and the left-wing’s dishonest and deluded dogmatic imposition of pseudo-idealistic politically correct values. However, as THE Interview explains, freedom of thought and individualism, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism which right-wing constitutions uphold, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge, ultimately for self-knowledge. And so paradoxically it was the right-wing that actually held the moral high ground and the left-wing that posed the real threat to humanity due to the fact that its dogmatically imposed pseudo-idealism gravely endangers freedom of thought and the search for understanding. Now the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition has at last been solved we can understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wings of politics and bring the whole necessary but ugly business of politics to an end (see our FAQs about politics).

This is an ancient concern. Wonder if this theory will satisfy the scientific system? Looking and waiting for their response.
WTM Admin
Yes, it is an ancient concern. The issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad; why, when the ideals are to be loving and cooperative, are we so selfish, competitive and destructive, is the subject that religions and the great myths focus on - why ‘sin’; why are we ‘fallen’ etc. What Jeremy Griffith has presented with the ‘Instinct vs Intellect’ explanation is the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.
Our FAQ 1.10 outlines ‘What scientific evidence is there for this explanation’. When “looking and waiting for their [the science community’s] response” it has to be born in mind, that as Jeremy Griffith points out in Part 2 of THE Interview the issue of the human condition has been such a denied and off-limits subject that confronting it represents the “biggest of all blasphemies”, and how “science progresses funeral by funeral” when it comes to supporting big paradigm shifts like this. However, despite this, Jeremy’s work has received from extremely eminent scientists and thinkers, that you can view on our Reviews & Commendations page.

Fight, flight, fawn, freeze- defensive mechanism to danger in environment- conditions
WTM Admin
While humans do still possess very primitive reflexes, such as for ‘fight or flight’, beneath our altruistic, unconditionally selfless instincts (acquired through the process of love-indoctrination, see Freedom Essay 21), these primitive reflexes do not control our behaviour beyond very narrow scenarios or threats. The truth is that our angry, competitive and egocentric behaviour is not instinctive in any way; it is the result of a psychosis. Essentially, as is explained in THE Interview, the popular contention that selfish and aggressive behaviour is a manifestation of survival or selfish instincts was just a convenient excuse while we searched for the psychosis-addressing-and-solving real explanation of our divisive behaviour. We also recommend reading FAQ 1.29 ‘Is the human condition biological or psychological’.

This is a great breakthrough in our lifetime.
Lynda
Absolutely spot on thank you so much the hardest bit now is to get the whole world to watch this understand this and start now to make the world a loving caring better place to live again.
Maggie O'Shea
Fabulous. Thank you.
WTM Admin
It may take a bit of time to get going, but when it catches on it actually won’t take long Lynda. As Jeremy explains in Freedom Essay 15, “It is this particular undeniable consequence of the arrival of understanding of the human condition of the transformation of our lives from living selfishly and competitively to living selflessly and cooperatively that is going to eventually catch on as being the right response now for everyone and when it does, it will spread like wildfire across our planet, and save the world. And it is not a revolution that involves warfare and bloodshed like so many revolutions in the past, but a peaceful revolution that is driven by irrefutable knowledge/understanding. We humans are conscious beings and what consciousness needs is understanding, and now we have it. Ultimately, we humans respond to knowledge—anything less was bound to be ineffective. This is the real and lasting transformation that the human race has lived in hope, faith and trust would one day occur. It is the revolution of our minds.”

Excellent, love it.

I have been distressed for along time now, having a understanding of watching your video on Freedom has awoken a knowledge in me to want to watch and understand more. Thank you from my whole heart.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your most appreciative comment, Jodi-Lee. Yes, the human condition has certainly been a deeply confusing reality, however, the core breakthrough of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that the innate goodness of ourselves as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychologically troubled existence was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves and others with great compassion and kindness. Importantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us or the world, as FAQ 1.19 explains.
Nathan Morley
I understood this from a very early age, though not in as many words, so to speak.
My question to you is, how do we get this information into people who not only don’t want to know but also fail to understand it, or worse, refuse to understand or accept it?
Once people do become aware, and hopefully understand, how do we get 8+bn people to agree to this way rather than carrying on as they are?
You mentioned the left and right wing by way of example, and I know that most people want life to be left wing, but only if they can be slightly more equal than everyone else and therefore fails at the very first hurdle.
Getting people to go against their indoctrinated instincts and intellect in order to adjust to accept that if they stop being selfish, life will be infinitely better for everyone seems like an impossible task, so, how do we do it? More importantly, how do we do it soon enough?
WTM Admin
Thanks for your questions Nathan. As Jeremy Griffith points out in Part 2 of THE Interview the issue of the human condition has been such a denied and off-limits subject that confronting it represents the “biggest of all blasphemies”, and how “science progresses funeral by funeral” when it comes to supporting big paradigm shifts like this, so there is no doubt that it does have slow start.
However, as Jeremy explains in chapter 9.9 of his book FREEDOM: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’”
The other aspect of the issue is people’s attachment to ideas. We suggest that as you digest this understanding you will see that everyone, no matter how attached, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete their strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level. You might be interested in our FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’
In summary, even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview! Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

This reinforce’s the teachings of Baha’ullah...science and religion must agree!
WTM Admin
Yes, the study of humans’ capacity for so-called ‘good and evil’ is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion and spiritual teachings are demystified and explained. As the Nobel prize-winning physicist Charles H. Townes recognised, science and religion “both represent man’s efforts to understand his universe and must ultimately be dealing with the same substance. As we understand more in each realm, the two must grow together…converge they must.” And this is what Jeremy Griffith’s work does. It reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to religion’s pre-scientific descriptions of our condition (see our FAQs about religion).

There has always have been a violent nature throughout the ages the animal has the instincts to defend his territory keep the pack in order, the Vikings who were brutal in being the dominant man, the Romans who were very competitive and wanted to rule the world, the world wars, where men fought for their country to kill or be killed. Governments using submissives brain washing materials. Instinct verses intellect. It’s all connected and there is no simple answer or cure. Instinct over rules intellect. How will this help when the majority won’t have access to that knowledge.
WTM Admin
Hi Sue and thank you for your comment. Explanation of the human condition introduces an entirely new framework of knowledge, a massive paradigm shift in how we view humans, which takes time to absorb. For instance, as biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in Part 1 of THE Interview, humans’ divisive “violent” behaviour is not a product of unchangeable savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by a clash between our instincts and intellect, and significantly since a psychosis can be healed with understanding, human behaviour is not unchangeable or immutable — a revelation that transforms the human race. To quote: “Interviewer Craig Conway: Wow, so that’s a pretty big statement Jeremy, I mean it’s a pretty important point you’re making here. You’re saying that our competitive and aggressive behaviour is not due to must-reproduce-our-genes instincts like other animals, but is due to a conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled condition, yes? Jeremy Griffith: Yes, our egocentric and arrogant and mean and vindictive and even sadistic behaviour has nothing to do with wanting to reproduce our genes. That was absurd. And it is actually really good news that our behaviour is due to a conscious-mind-based psychologically troubled condition because psychoses can be healed with understanding. If our competitive and aggressive behaviour was due to us having savage instincts then we would be stuck with that born-with, hard-wired, innate behaviour. It would mean we could only ever hope to restrain and control those supposedly brutal instincts. But since our species’ divisive behaviour is due to a psychosis, that divisive behaviour can be cured with healing understanding. So that is very good news. In fact, incredibly exciting news, because with understanding we can finally end our psychologically troubled human condition. It’s the understanding of ourselves that we needed to heal the pain in our brains and become sound and sane again.” You can read more about this in Jeremy’s Freedom Essay 2Debunking the ‘savage instincts’ excuse for human behaviour.
In terms of how this will help when not everyone has access to this knowledge, as with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, with support from those who appreciate this understanding, the truth is that this redeeming, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is SO liberating and SO exciting that it won’t be long be everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fame, fortune and glory. You might be especially interested in FAQ 1.40, which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”

I can’t understand it
The very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access. See our FAQ 1.16 which includes the question ‘please send me an executive summary so I have some idea of what you’re trying to say?’.Also, FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.Very interesting 🤔
Really enjoyed the philosophy and insight presented here. This is important to pursue and to incorporate into all science and psychology moving forward.

Jean Jacques Rousseau.
I watched this expecting it to ask subscription fees and all that kappa. But to my surprise. Is exactly what I was. I have tried to spread video with as many as and social media ai the lot cus this makes sense

A wonderful contribution
This is amazing as a native from the south west it confirms with our prayers and belief
Thank you Jonathan. Yes, there has been so much truth in indigenous lore and tradition about the human condition and hope that one day we will be liberated from it. Well, that day has arrived! It is, as you say, “amazing”. We would love to hear more from you about your culture and how it can now be understood in light of the explanation that we all now have.
Thank you so much for your wonderful and enthusiastic comment, Angus. Jeremy Griffith’s work is indeed worthy of a Nobel, given he has finally solved this age-old riddle of riddles of the human condition!Regarding your question as to how to mobilise those in power to the truth of the human condition and Jeremy’s breakthrough treatise, you may find helpful our FAQ 1.40, titled ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? This is indeed Enlightened Human Evolution.
I am amazed and I appreciate the knowledge and words you have brought to me this afternoon. I would like to learn more and work with you. And the theory you have - god and the earth bless you all. Thank you thank you thank you gracias gracias gracias
Due to the very nature of consciousness how can one Say at what point humans became conscious and other animals did not? Most higher level animals exhibit the same types of self-awareness as humans. Doesn’t that put a kink in the theory?
We suggest that one of the great outstanding mysteries of science is the question of what consciousness is, and what Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview is that rather than referring to ‘self-awareness’, consciousness actually means being sufficiently aware or ‘conscious’ of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding. Clearly while other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’ or ‘sentience’, none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing fully conscious minds. It is also worth noting that Jeremy explains that developing consciousness depended on overcoming the competitive, selfish ‘animal condition’ and becoming orientated to selflessness, so if a species is still preoccupied with selfish, competitive dominance, as other animals are, they can’t become fully conscious.The fossil record shows that a relatively sudden increase in brain volume necessary to house a rapidly expanded association cortex occurred some 2 million years ago (the association cortex is where the association of information necessary for thinking takes place), so it is reasonable to assume that around this point, our ancestors became ‘conscious’. In recognition of this profound change, the name of our ancestors was, at that point in human evolution, changed by anthropologists from Australopithecus to Homo.We recommend our FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’; and you might be interested to read more about the emergence of consciousness in chapter 7 of FREEDOM, and we would point you to chapter 8 as well, which charts the stages that our conscious mind progressed through with reference to the fossil record.I enjoyed listening to this podcast it makes a lot of sense and I love how it explains about human consciousness;
It’s an incredible and an amazing shift in this domain. Thank you so much for that huge work and thank you also for sharing it!
Most enlightening discussion between two great minds . Thank you! 🙏 Chanit Roston
Really interesting. Can’t wait to listen to more
Hi Tina, it’s great you’ve watched THE Interview as it’s the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. This includes subscribing to our mailing list where you will receive one email per week, occasional News Flashes, and notifications for our Live Events. We also encourage people to join our Facebook Group to learn more about this amazing, human-condition-resolved new world.
I have been unable to watch the news for months out of sheer disillusionment with the human race - but this brings great relief and hope. Thanks Jeremy!
Absolutely amazing reasoning.
The best interview one could ever have heard in your entire aging period of a human exist....
This guy is very smart.please listen please.
The only thing that humans learned is the “Lie”. Unfortunately we also inherited the ability to “believe” the lie
To quote the beginning of ‘Why do People Lie’:”The reason why people lie and live in denial is because we humans will not accept that we are fundamentally bad or unworthy—AND NOR SHOULD WE! Yes, only when we could explain the human condition, explain why we humans are fundamentally good and not bad, would the need for denial/lying disappear from human behaviour.MOST WONDERFULLY, biology is now at last able to provide this dreamed-of, redeeming, ‘good-and-evil’-reconciling, ‘burden-of-guilt’-lifting, relieving and thus psychologically rehabilitating, human-race-transforming EXPLANATION OF THE HUMAN CONDITION [presented in THE Interview]—which means denial/lying IS now redundant and WILL disappear from human behaviour forever, and no one will ever again wonder why do people lie because no one will ever again need to lie!!... ”Everything points to lizard “Base brain”Obdula Oblingada" Probably spelled wrong
Love this. Love your work.
The interview is mind blowing and educative.
Break this explanation down so that a high school student in any country in the world could understand as today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders...Peter in Vancouver bc Canada thank you.
You can read all about this in Jeremy’s Freedom Essay 30 titled ‘Resignation’, the unacknowledged yet most important psychological event in human life.Craig, first timer for your show. Very much Enjoyed The Show and your Guest Jeremy Griffith. Very interesting view of The Human Behavior, Who We Are , Etc. I Agree 💯 with Jeremy’s analysis. Thanks, makes sense & understandable. I do pray that this type of Human Behavior does not take Generations to solve. I AM One Who Has Great Beliefs In GOD & OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST 💜✝️🙏🏽. I have more years Behind me than in Front of me. I Pray for Unity NOW ✝️💜🙏🏽.
One way of living ends, a new one begins, free of the human condition—phew, thank God for that!!” This is further explained in our FAQ 1.4 ‘ How can everyone’s lives be immediately transformed?’We certainly respect people’s religious views Dianne and wanted to reinforce, which from your comment we sense you have understood, that Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity. Our FAQs about religion are very helpful and include FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.It all makes so much sense it has made me think very differently amazing work you have done
A real eye opener
Thankyou!
I love it. Thank you, I have shared it elsewhere, and on every Platform..
Need to read more to fully understand it
We appreciate your interest Colette.
It’s really inspiring. I had not come to this knowledge science wisdom of understanding the human course of life and nature. Well explained.
Thanks for sharing and that the world need men and women who are willing to accept changed and change others as well
I am compelled to share this with the world, to help to share the relief of the human condition.
It is very interesting and informative. Thank you.
Our simple and loving state, that we hadn’t understood, we have evolved long ago and with this in mind, we have be misinformed for generations through the nature of the “ coconut wireless”. Yet, now, we can explain, understand, and redeem our existence, evenright now.
This is mind-blowing, so informative and enlightening.
In a previous reply you say: Jeremy’s work identifies that the problem of the right-wing is its destructiveness, however, through its support of egocentricity and selfishness, it does encourage the search for knowledge to continue.
Really inspiring and I truly believe that this should be included in all schools
True words
Excellent!!! Makes one stop and contemplate it all if your mind is open enough!! 👏👏
You speak with extreme confidence on abstract concepts of which you, by nature, cannot know anything in absolute terms. Makes it hard to take what is said seriously. This phenomenon within western human sciences, where everything is overly rationalised and built on unbacked assumptions cheapens the whole field.
Simple and non-threatening.
I always was offended by people saying: ‘we are all sinners, we are born in a world of sin’. this is all nonsense, and therefore Jeremy search is so very true, and also how the narrative of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is well explained now finally.
Good information everyone should know.
Thank you for all the hard work to finally make sense about the human race…!!!🙌😂💞
Simple, yet insightful, peaceful and hopeful
It’s mind blowing..
It has answered all my questions.
Rightful peaceful hopeful
Pls explain why bonobos are not driving round in cars, and how did we crawl out of mud and then build pyramids and learn to fly
It’s actually wonderful 👍
I really enjoyed this guy thx
Awesome 😎
I am very much interested for various personal reasons, one of them being to verify if what I’ve read from psychology books can or will apply.
Love to you all!
Am on new philosophy after watching this interview
This needs to be shared! So mind opening!
This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics.I absolutely believe this, should be taught in schools. Thank you
I wish I sat in a class and listened to him for three hours
Understanding my innate feeling. Thanks Griffith.
Amazing, truly amazing.
I want to know the answer to why we are here
That is certainly a big question Michelle! With our destructive and divisive now defended, it is possible to admit the Negative-Entropy-driven integrative meaning of existence, which Jeremy introduces in Part 3 of THE Interview, and explains in depth in his definitive book FREEDOM, chapter 4.In FAQ 6.2 Jeremy explains the source of our duality or separation from Integrative Meaning: “the theme or purpose or meaning of existence is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. IT IS ONLY NOW that we have the redeeming explanation of humans’ divisively behaved human condition, that we can at last afford to demystify ‘God’ as Integrative Meaning."This is just the best work! 1.Thank you, and well done to all who contributed. 2.I look forward to the closing chapter of war and the re-imagining of a type of human who will not inslave the foundations of morality and works in the light of true critique(which is elaborate wonderlizm) . 3. I believe in you' as you do me- so, shamefully God bless. JT.
This explains the how and why to what we all do.
Thank you!!
Excellent very worthwhile.
Great! So it seems there is some hope for Donald Trump
Very interesting, makes you think! Thank you
Always in pursuit of Life long Learning This is a Godsend
Struggling to follow
While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1) THE Interview also explains the very nature of the human condition means discussion of it can be initially difficult to access.
VERY INSPIRING 👌🏾
Auspicious! Answers a lot of questions I have... I’ve shared it with all my friends! Thank you so very much for making us available...
Very interesting & seems to make some sense.
I like that it’s available for free

It’s excellent
Tears of relief, thank you.
This is an ancient concern. Wonder if this theory will satisfy the scientific system? Looking and waiting for their response.
This is the most interesting & impressive scientific interview I have ever heard. Congratulations to Jeremy Griffith!!!
So true thank you.
Fight, flight, fawn, freeze- defensive mechanism to danger in environment- conditions
I’d like to learn more about this and look forward to hearing more about it

This is a great breakthrough in our lifetime.
Absolutely spot on thank you so much the hardest bit now is to get the whole world to watch this understand this and start now to make the world a loving caring better place to live again.
Fabulous. Thank you.
Thanks for your questions Nathan. As Jeremy Griffith points out in Part 2 of THE Interview the issue of the human condition has been such a denied and off-limits subject that confronting it represents the “biggest of all blasphemies”, and how “science progresses funeral by funeral” when it comes to supporting big paradigm shifts like this, so there is no doubt that it does have slow start. However, as Jeremy explains in chapter 9.9 of his book FREEDOM: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’”The other aspect of the issue is people’s attachment to ideas. / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’In summary, even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview! Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!Love listening to the video, reading the books, downloaded your ebook. Seminal, very brilliant and very explanatory
This reinforce’s the teachings of Baha’ullah...science and religion must agree!
Eye opening discussion. The more people that listen and listen esp one to this, the better.
Very factual and inspirational
BRILLIANT!!!
All I can say is may God Bless You🙏❤️
I find it extremely factual and it makes a lot of sense.
It’s the understanding of ourselves that we needed to heal the pain in our brains and become sound and sane again.” You can read more about this in Jeremy’s Freedom Essay 2 Debunking the ‘savage instincts’ excuse for human behaviour. It explains that “Even those who were most committed to defensively seeking validation through gaining power and material goods, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, real biological explanation of the human condition that proves our worth at the most fundamental level.”Mind blowing everyone should know about it
