Borders, race and religions are old men’s virtual reality games. We need to get a new selection of fulfillment.

WTM Admin

What is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is that it defends our so-called ‘dark side – it explains that there was a good reason that we became ‘corrupted’, which resulted in our divisive world of “borders, race and religion”. So we can now see that all the aspects of our world that you are identifying as “old men’s virtual reality games” have actually been necessary and a part of the heroic search for knowledge. That is why this explanation is so powerful: it actually allows us all to reconcile the selfish madness of the world, and in ourselves, with ideality. And by giving us the ultimate fulfilment, which is giving us the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation. This is what changes the world!

Very interested in this book - please we need help for our culture and everyone’s future, especially for the younger generation. All to live as one.👌🙏♥️

I’m wondering what it’s all about

WTM Admin

THE Interview provides the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s work, so we suggest you start here. Also, FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established cooperative instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric – the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

It’s worth it.

Following the interview, I came to know and understand the life I am experiencing in today’s world. Through the “THE BREAKTHRUOGH BIOLOGICAL EXPLANATION OFF THE HUMAN CONDITION”. The interview helped me to see what the Bible says and how the community of scientists interpret and finally find the solution. I want the Freedom Book written by Jeremy Griffith. How can I obtain one?

WTM Admin

That is wonderful to hear how powerfully clarifying you are finding Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition Christopher. In principal I agree with Jeremy comment that the majority of humans are in conflict with themselves our ego, and our aggressive competitive nature with others, other cultures, of other persons political persuasions, is definitely in conflict with our natural instinctive selves (that of being co-operative and supportive of each other, while asking nothing in return), so as we responded to our consciousness and developing the power to think and reason, this put us in conflict with our instinctive selves. We did not like this lack of understanding of this human condition, so we began to express our frustration in different forms of anger, and our ignorance created fear followed by violence, self-justification for those various forms of aggression. Even those of us who were more self-sacrificing and less self centered beings, were altruistic, with their egos needing to be stroked. Yes, science needs to go a little bit deeper in the study of the human condition and bring much needed clarity to this new conscious understanding of self but with far greater wisdom, less ego, less need to be right, and more in sync with our natural inherent selves (with all its strength and beauty) and our new powerful awareness of self and intellect, and marry the 2 in a state of harmony in one goal, to be as before and yet greater, at one with life, nature, man, and creation. Thank you for planting the seed amongst / within the world of academia the world of science. Regards P J Rose, Australia

Extremely presumptious to speak of the psychological state of the entire human race, given the cultural diversity of our species. The rehabilitation needs to be centered on European-descendents peoples who have disproportionately contributed to the psychosis of modern humans. It is the expansion of 16th through 21st century European psychological derangement to the rest of the world’s people through European colonialism in Africa, Asia, and the Americas that this pathology became widespread. This pathology is not normal and certainly not sustainable. There are solutions to this sickness, but the first step is to stop generalizing eurocentric pathologies to the entirety of humanity.

WTM Admin

As THE Interview explains all humans are born with all-loving moral instincts but now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. So we can at last understand WHY as a species we have become psychologically upset—so competitive and aggressive as to want to dominate and control others. We can also explain that all ‘races’ (ethnic groups) fall somewhere on the spectrum of either being more sheltered from humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, or more exposed to it, and so are either more innocent or more psychologically upset. We can see that at this point of time Caucasians fall somewhere in the middle, with more psychologically embattled races having ‘peaked’ earlier, and less psychologically embattled races yet to peak (see chapter 8:16E of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM), however, the truth is that all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. So the more upset have been overthrowing the less upset since the human condition emerged. However, what is most important is that despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good. Now we can understand the human condition we can see that no person or race is superior or inferior. This desperately needed reconciling understanding of the relationship between races is further explained in Freedom Essay 28 and for a testimonial on the power of this information to end racism, we recommend watching/reading the presentation from Franklin Mukakanga, of Zambia, in Video/Freedom Essay 8.     Finally, in Addendum 2 of his book Death by Dogma, Jeremy explains why the Judeo-Christian Western culture, like the right-wing in politics, has been one of the main targets for rejection by the pseudo idealistic, politically correct, ‘woke’, identity politics, cancel culture movement — but that it has finally delivered the explanation of the human condition that the whole world has been so desperately waiting for.

Valrie mock

I think this is so enthralling n interesting but u forgot to mention God who is the best psychologist who gifts all humans their feelings n yes every human is capable of loving compassionate ways but thru faith u can overcome a lot in life as we are in the civilized eras n hence we did not evolve from apes but thru God. Thank you Jeremy Griffith u have set the stage for great therapy I look forward to reading your books Death by Dogma n Freedom. God bless u n let’s all hope you can make every human loving communities n happy.

WTM Admin

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and heartfelt comment Valrie.     It is important to note that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God — it simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as the personification of the integrative meaning of life (see Freedom Essay 23).     It is true that people have been able to get great peace and sustenance through a faith in God, but the more you digest this understanding, we suggest the more you will see how it brings profound peace to your and everyone’s situation. What is so important about Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is that it finally explains the real reason for why humans’ selfish, competitive and destructive behaviour became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. And with our goodness biologically established, we no longer need to be preoccupied with proving our worth. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source so we can actually stop the angry destruction of ourselves, each other and the planet and save the world. You may be interested in FAQ 1.34, in which the highly respected psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of.” It is, “great therapy”, as you say, Valrie.

Omg, so happy for this, for the last 10 years I’ve disconnected from anything anyone tells me how to, I live by my instincts and my awareness of my nervous system on how it feels to go against my instincts and it made me unwell, so I live with truth, love and a stable mind with happiness and love, the change on thinking has healed my mind and opened my eyes you the world, thank you.

Malebogo Manyuna

Wow I loved the information. It is really talk about human energy and that psychiatry is the soul healing itself.

WTM Admin

Yes, as Jeremy points out in THE Interview, the word ‘psychosis’ literally means ‘soul-illness’ and ‘psychiatry’ literally means ‘soul-healing’ (derived as they are from psyche meaning ‘soul’, osis meaning ‘abnormal state or condition’ and iatreia meaning ‘healing’). And what is our soul? As Jeremy also explains, it is our original, nurtured, cooperative and loving, moral, biologically-derived instinctive self. And so to resolve our human condition and heal our soul, achieve psychotherapy, the fundamental need has been to explain why we corrupted our soul, because that’s the reconciling understanding that removes our need to psychologically dissociate or split from our soul and become psychotic or alienated.     So the truth is any therapy of our now massively upset, 2-million-years-troubled, condition can only effectively begin when we can understand biologically the difference between the gene-based and nerve-based learning systems and how that difference resulted in us corrupting our soul, which is the key insight Jeremy provides. It’s only now with that biological understanding in place that we are in a position to effectively therapise our psychologically upset condition, and end our 2 million years of distress and alienation.

If the people didn’t come and conquer things that wasn’t theirs in the beginning the world and humans wouldn’t be in survival mode this is where all the animalistic dominance control behavior comes from and it’s only in certain people everyone else is just trying to survive again survival mode

WTM Admin

In Part 1 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith addresses the almost universal excuse for our angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour, which is that it is due to selfish, must-reproduce-our-genes, survival-of-the-fittest, ‘savage instincts’ within us – what you describe as “animalistic dominance control behavior”. However, with our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state now defended, it is now safe to admit that our human instincts are loving – see Part 3 of THE Interview. We now know that our destructive behaviour is not due to savage instincts but is the result of a psychosis caused by the ‘instincts and intellect’ clash. And we suggest that with this true defence for our behaviour established, it is now possible to consider that there is clear evidence that humans developed from a cooperative and loving ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model; you can read about the fossil evidence for this cooperative past in chapter 5:5 of FREEDOM.

Deb

When I hear this, I think about William Blake’s state of Innocence, Experience, and Organized Innocence (Songs of Innocence and Experience, particularly).

WTM Admin

That’s a really perceptive link Deb — Blake’s vision of Innocence, Experience, and Organized Innocence captures exactly the psychological journey Jeremy Griffith describes. Jeremy actually discusses Blake’s poems directly - see for example Freedom Essay 10 and Freedom Essay 53, where he explains how The Tyger and Songs of Innocence and Experience described humanity’s struggle with the human condition.     As Jeremy shows, Blake recognised that the gentle, cooperative lamb in us represents our original, instinctive innocence, while the tiger symbolises our later, consciously troubled, corrupted state. Blake was asking: how could both have come from the same creator? Jeremy’s biological explanation finally resolves that question, showing how our conscious mind’s clash with our loving instincts led to our ‘fallen’ state — and how understanding that conflict at last allows us to achieve what Blake foresaw as Organized Innocence, a harmony between intellect and instinct.

eleanor paterson

I want to find out if we can live without the cruelty to “others” we are cruel to each other and the animal kingdom of whom we are part of.

WTM Admin

Thank you Eleanor, that question goes to the essence of what Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview. His biological understanding of the human condition shows that cruelty toward one another and the animal world was never our natural state but the result of a psychological conflict between our loving instincts and our emerging conscious intellect.     What Jeremy has done is provide the scientific answer to the great question of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, we are so angry, competitive and selfish. This is of great importance because having found the good reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our defensive, ‘bad’ behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant — and living without cruelty, in harmony with each other and the rest of life, becomes the natural and inevitable state. There couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.

Samantha Havenga

It’s starting to make sense to me, Abit confusing to me but something inside me is recognising this new belief

WTM Admin

It’s great to hear that what is explained in THE Interview is resonating and starting to make sense to you Samantha. In this interview Jeremy Griffith answers the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Despite this competitive and selfish behaviour, deep down we humans have always intuitively believed we were fundamentally good, but we have never before been able to explain this contradictory, conflicted behaviour. We suggest it is because Jeremy biologically answers this question and establishes our goodness as a species that his explanation is resonating so much with you. In terms of feeling a bit confused the fundamental explanation is very simple but, as Jeremy also explains, it does open up the historically off-limits subject of the human condition so people can initially struggle to fully grasp or ‘hear’ what is being presented, there can be an initial ‘deaf effect’ which is explained in our FAQ 1.16 ‘What is the Deaf Effect? / What is the solution to the Deaf Effect?’. We suggest re-watching THE Interview and then watch it’s companion presentation The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect. It is an astonishingly beautiful and revealing presentation where Jeremy takes us back to when the human condition first emerged in humans and comprehensively explains our fear of the human condition is a result of the shame and guilt we feel for having corrupted our all-loving and sensitive soul. You can watch or read it here on our website.

My first Emotion was that it’s Fantastic....but in Retrospect I’ve started to get the Thought that this seems to be a Way of the Colonials of Absolving themselves of the Crimes they have Comitted Against Humanity... All my Feelings....

WTM Admin

Thank you for sharing your feelings Danny. Firstly, and most importantly, Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of our human condition does not condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’. As the late Professor Harry Prosen, psychiatrist and former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said: “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.”     There is much to digest, but explanation of the human condition reveals that the human race started out innocent and then became increasingly corrupted as a result of the heroic search for knowledge. This key insight allows us to understand that indigenous ‘races’, who have been relatively sheltered from humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, will be more ‘innocent’, or less psychologically upset, than those ‘races’ more exposed to the battle. This explains why indigenous peoples have so much affinity with our instinctive soulful, cooperative way of living and the natural world; however, even indigenous peoples are only ‘relatively’ innocent, because all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some two million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. But, what is most significant, is that despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different exposure to humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we can now understand that we are all equally good.     You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this understanding puts an end to racism; and for testimonials on the power of this knowledge to end racism and unite the human race, we recommend those from Franklin Mukakanga, founder of WTM Zambia and Refentse Molosiwa, founder of WTM Mahikeng, in Video/Freedom Essay 8. In this presentation Franklin understandably describes how he feel before he came across Jeremy’s understanding of the human condition, saying he “hated what [Caucasians] had done and continue to do to my people in the process of bringing us ‘civilisation’. This led to a deep resentment and to my treating Caucasians with a cool, guarded ambivalence.” And after reading Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM he said: “From my own experience I can say with absolute certainty that, as the word gets out, FREEDOM will provide the key to healing poor or strained ‘race relations’ throughout the world. Basically, this understanding of the human condition will end all prejudices, like racism, forever”. So we hope you pursue your interest Danny as we suggest your first emotion was correct – that this explanation is “Fantastic”!

Amazing to finally understand the Human Condition! This will truly save us!

Priscilla Chiazor

Humans are unexplainable and I will be grateful if I become aware of what causes them to do what they do differently.

WTM Admin

Hi Priscilla and thank you for your comment. Biologist Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition (presented in this interview) gives us the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour in ourselves and in everyone else with 100% clarity and confidence! This critical new science explains all humans are born with all-loving moral instincts (not ‘savage’ animal instincts) but now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition caused by the conscious mind’s necessary search for knowledge. What is so important about Jeremy’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is that it finally explains the real reason for why humans’ competitive behaviour became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. Proving we were better than someone else gave us validation and reinforcement to counter the deep insecurity we felt about having to become self-corrupted. Now with our goodness and worth biologically established, we no longer need to be preoccupied with proving our goodness and worth. So we finally have the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing understanding of the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition — thus ending all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map for the complete rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world! See FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’.

To be able to understand and except that the human condition is not of a instinctual genetically animalistic is simply just man’s excuse for his troubled behaviour is of his ego is always something I have known, but for it to be explained from a scientific perspective is the best and the only possible way for any rehabilitation of the human race bravo Jeremy Griffith simply brilliant .This is the step towards raising consciousness of mankind and save the world. The future of Humanity thanks you Dearly Professor and the wonderful Mr Jeremy Griffith bless you !

Julie

Finding it a bit to understand and I want to understand this what put me off listening to this help

WTM Admin

Yes Julie there is a bit to understand but take heart as the essential argument is very simple! What biologist Jeremy Griffith introduces is a new scientific paradigm based on confronting, rather than the historic practice of avoiding, the issue of the human condition and it is this avoidance that is putting you off listening to the help THE Interview provides. While great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1) THE Interview also explains discussion of the human condition can be initially difficult to access because it goes to the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad so it’s been the most terrifying of all subjects to face and we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it. This means our minds can initially struggle to hear and absorb discussion about it but, thankfully, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition! This deaf effect, and its solution, is comprehensively explained in the presentation that follows THE Interview titled The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect and also in our FAQ 1.16 ‘What is the ‘Deaf Effect’? / What is the solution to the ‘Deaf Effect’?’.     To summarise the incredible help understanding the human condition brings to our whole being Jeremy explains at the beginning of Part 4 that “Well, what this real—and actually very obvious—instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition fundamentally does is lift the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. While we are all inevitably variously angry, egocentric and alienated from our different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, we can now know that every human is fundamentally good. And this ability to understand and know there was a good reason why the human race became psychologically upset, is the key, relieving understanding we have been in search of ever since we became conscious some 2 million years ago and our corrupted condition emerged. That is the key relief for our mind—being finally able to understand that we are good and not bad is what brings us the greatest psychological relief of all.”

You are missing all the billion third world people that cannot reason further that where their instincts will let them

WTM Admin

All humans — regardless of culture or circumstance — are equally conscious and capable of reason. Which means that the conflict Jeremy Griffith describes between our instincts and intellect is universal.     In THE Interview, Jeremy explains that our behaviour has long been misunderstood as driven by “savage instincts,” but that was just a false excuse for our upset, insecure state. With the real, biological defence for our condition now found, we can finally acknowledge that our instincts are in fact loving, not brutal. Humanity’s evolutionary story, as Jeremy shows, began in cooperation, not competition. See Freedom Essay 21 for the explanation of how we gained our loving moral instincts.     And when people in more privileged circumstances are no longer preoccupied with proving their worth—through the artificial pursuits of power, fame, and wealth—they’ll naturally turn their energy and compassion toward helping those in need. That’s the great transformation Griffith describes: once our insecurity ends, our capacity for genuine selfless care is released, and we can finally work together to relieve suffering everywhere in the world. You can read more about this great transformation in Freedom Essay 15.

Suraj rathore

An excellent interview about our behaviour and the history that creates it

Jacob

This is amazing. I’ve always felt a general understanding of ego death but these guys make me feel like I’m not a psycho for feeling this way and trying to explain it to other ppl because naturally it would provoke religious people

WTM Admin

Yes, while religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Solving the human condition required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough that Jeremy Griffith presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. And with regard to “ego death”, as you are picking up on, what is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s treatise is that paradoxically it logically and accountably defends human selfishness and egocentricity. It is that defence of our ‘dark side’, through finding the good reason that we had to defy our instincts, that means all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defence for why we had to defy our instincts. And because this is a rational, accountable, scientific explanation, everyone will eventually take it up. So while it may take time for everyone to access this breakthrough (because the human condition has historically been such a fearful, off-limits topic), once this catches on through people recognising the importance of it and supporting it, the infectious enthusiasm and selfless love it liberates will spread like wildfire.

Luciana

Listening to you I’m now looking forward to exploring this amazing concept even more! So grateful for having access to your insights 🙂

Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition explains that we became psychologically upset sufferers of the angry, egocentric and alienated human condition as the unavoidable result of a clash between our pre-established instincts and emerging conscious mind. Jeremy explains in THE Interview that without this defence for our upset state we have sought to falsely blame our behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us. We suggest that with this true defence for our behaviour established, it is now possible to consider that there is clear evidence that humans developed from a cooperative and loving ancestor – of which the bonobos are a living model; you can read about the fossil evidence for this cooperative past in chapter 5:5 of FREEDOM.

Martha Woodworth

He lost me at the word “left-wingers.” He rubbed out half the world with a political slur that makes his “brilliant” theory questionable. I was right there with him until that crackpot remark. I’m sure he’ll rationalize it away by saying I’ve now proven his theory with my “troubled” human mind. In fact, I applaud his terribly distinguished effort.

WTM Admin

It does take some time to get your head around the paradox of the human condition, Martha, and in particular, how it applies to politics. We recommend Jeremy Griffith’s book, Death by Dogma, which is freely available on our homepage. In it Jeremy emphasises that while it is easy to identify with the ideal of everyone being cooperative and loving, the whole objective of the human journey was to find understanding of why humans have not been cooperative and loving and instead so divisively competitive and aggressive. That is the great riddle of the human condition that had to be explained. Now at last we can understand why we humans have been competitive, aggressive and selfish, and, most wonderfully of all, by revealing that reason, the need for that divisive behaviour is ended. Which brings us to the final paradox of the human condition: through the right wing upholding the selfishness needed to persevere with the search for knowledge, we all now become left-wing (as it were, although the truth is that the whole ugly business of politics is now brought to a close). We also recommend our FAQs on politics.

Sean

Fascinating topic love to understand what this revelation is all about

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest Sean! The best place to start is to watch THE Interview, in which biologist Jeremy Griffith presents his breakthrough ‘instinct v intellect’ explanation of the human condition. Part 1 of this interview presents the explanation as quickly and simply as possible and FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition so it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!

Suzanne

Life changing

Madalena

Thank you for allowing me to watch it.

Mike Whitney

This has been eye an opening experience. I love everything that he had to say. Now comes the hard part. Convincing everyone to buy into it. I think he is correct it will take generations before this is going to be a part of everyone’s life. I will show this to as many people as I possibly can. And hope that they will understand what is being said. It would be so fantastic to live in a world free of hate and war. I would love to be surrounded by love and compassion from everyone. But I dont belive its going to happen in my life as I am 62 years old. But I really hope that my grand child gets to experience it. I cant thank you enough for what you have shown me.

WTM Admin

Thank you so much Mike. It will certainly take generations for this understanding to heal humanity, but we think the takeup, and transformation of everyone’s lives, will be a lot quicker than that. As Jeremy explains in chapter 9.9 of his book FREEDOM: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’” And so even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point in terms of awareness of this great breakthrough, you can see from the excitement and relief in our ecstatic responses to THE Interview, we are well on our way! Also, on our World Transformation Movement homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

Gilbert thomas

Yes I like it very much.

Katherine Moss

What Jeremy Griffin is advocating here is nothing new, but a modern version of Gnosticism, condemned by St Paul, in the NT. He has borrowed heavily from theology. The origins of man and original sin. Thomas Aquinas, cause and effect, the natural law and Christian theology on the human condition, sanitizing it, removing the need for God’s saving Grace and removing any human responsibility for wrongdoing, evil (Sin). It is intellectually dishonest to claim the credit for concepts that have already exist in Christianity. The man is a modern day Gnostic a heretic. The human nature and condition cannot be controlled perfected by one’s own efforts we need a saviour. Jesus Christ be cause he had two nature’s. He was God in flesh therefore he has experienced everything that we have. He Jesus Christ Is the one who saves.

WTM Admin

We certainly respect people’s religious views Katherine and biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition doesn’t actually contradict a belief in God or Christianity it simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth about human life albeit from that pre-scientific view. The difference being that we can now with the benefit of science, bring clarifying, first-principle biological explanation to our so-called ‘good and evil’-afflicted human condition and why we had to depart from our original innocence, whilst religion had to rely on metaphor and a more literal interpretation. This demystification of religious concepts is not intellectually dishonest at all it is actually something all religions looked forward to and represents the fulfilment of religions (see FAQ 6.3 ‘Aren’t all Griffith’s demystifications of religious teachings going to be seen by supporters of religion as blasphemy? / Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God? / How does this affect my personal religious practice? / How can you reconcile the explanation of the human condition that defends the upset state with religious teachings that condemn upset?’).     For instance in Part 2 of THE Interview Jeremy explains the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. (The Gnostics recognised that the search for knowledge was paramount and this was reflected in their interpretation of the Adam and Eve story where they saw Adam and Eve as heroes, not villains for taking the fruit, so this is a scientific fulfilment of gnosticism.) What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition. Importantly, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction ‘sin’ or ‘evil’, rather, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’.     Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we are fundamentally good—answer the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish? Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here (see FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’). As Craig Conway says to Jeremy in THE interview “your basic point is that science’s discovery of the way genes and nerves work has finally made it possible for the liberation of humanity from the horror of the human condition” to which Jeremy replies “Yes, that is the essential truth: science is the liberator, the so-called ‘messiah’ or ‘redeemer’ of humankind, as we always hoped it would be!”.     This critical new science really does represent a huge demystification of our world, which can be challenging and takes time to digest, but the preference for more literal interpretations is respected, as we hope respect is maintained for our right to a science-based interpretation.

Belfkih Nafissa

Wow! Very interesting and inspiring

Richard John Atkinson

I’m concerned as a neurodiverse person that Jeremy is not valuing our unusual perspectives/intelligence which may lead us to a similar concept re consciousness as he has!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Richard. Jeremy Griffith does acknowledge the great sensitivity and capability neurodiverse people can retain and uses examples of savants in his book A Species In Denial in the section about Resignation.

Maryke

Very interesting perspective on the human animal..

Eric K

I do believe all brains are capable of conscious thought. Even the smallest insects and such. What if we’re not any different than them.

WTM Admin

Hi Eric and thank you for your comment. As explained in our FAQ 5.5 ‘Aren’t other animals capable of conscious thought like humans? / How can you say humans are the only fully conscious animals?’: “Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview that consciousness means being sufficiently aware of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding cause and effect. Clearly, while other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’ none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing fully conscious minds. It is also worth noting that Jeremy explains that developing consciousness depended on overcoming the competitive, selfish ‘animal condition’ and becoming orientated to selflessness, so if a species is still preoccupied with selfish, competitive dominance, as other animals are, they can’t become fully conscious. We recommend our FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’. For a full description of the emergence of consciousness in humans, see chapter 7 of FREEDOM [Jeremy’s definitive book on the human condition]." So we encourage you to explore those links Eric as what is presented is absolutely fascinating!

Oscar Luis Colunga Herrera

It’s fantastic

Ndabezinhle Dlodlo

Appreciate the clarity of this explanation. There are some logical questions that follow. 1. What does this say about religions of our people, all people.

FIX THE WORLD Admin

Thank you for your appreciative comment Ndabezinhle. Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God, or religion. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts and by so doing reconciles science and religion. For example, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view.     Although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life; see Freedom Essay 23. We also think you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, especially FAQs ‘What is God’ and ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

Lisa beetham

So how long is it going to be before everybody and everything changes and all problems are solved

WTM Admin

Hi Lisa, as with any new scientific breakthrough it will take time to reach the whole world, and because the human condition has historically been such a terrifying realm, nowhere is this resistance greater than when attempting to bring understanding to the human condition — but with enough people developing a deep appreciation and desire to support it our problems will be solved very quickly — see our FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’. So take heart Lisa, because as you can see from the thousands of impressive commendations on our website from thought leaders and members of the public and the over 80 WTM Centres that have opened across the globe, the relief and excitement of finally being able to make sense of human life is turning into a tidal wave of world-saving support!! As Part 4 of THE Interview and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world?’ explain, while the world is fast approaching a point of no return, this understanding will turn things around incredibly quickly, because it explains and solves the underlying cause of all our selfishness, anger and egocentricity. We also recommend reading Freedom Essay 15: ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’. If you are interested in getting involved joining our Facebook Group is highly recommended because there is so much helpful, practical and inspired discussion taking place there about living with this world-saving knowledge!

Catherine Kelly

Amazing. WOW!!!

Mary Norris

Been following Carl Jung for years...

WTM Admin

Thanks Mary, your knowledge of Jung’s work should mean you have a wonderful foundation to appreciate Jeremy Griffith’s ‘Instinct vs Intellect’ breakthrough explanation of the human condition.     We recommend reading FAQ 1.47 “How does Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition differ from the theories of Freud or Jung?”, as it explains how Jeremy’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation varies from Jung’s work. In short, the only way humans could, as Jung said, ‘own our own shadow’ was to ameliorate the guilt we, our conscious thinking mind, feels for having corrupted our all-loving instinctive self or soul, and that could only be achieved by explaining why we had to endure becoming angry, egocentric and alienated—why our corrupted human condition was actually a heroic and loveable condition rather than a bad, ‘evil’, ‘sinful’ condition. Answering this question of questions, lifting the ‘great burden of guilt’ from the human race, required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. Which is why Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said, “I have no doubt this biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.”

Bradly curtis

My gosh, so interesting… All makes sense , the story of us, I mean our minds and why… So simple, love the part about Adam and Eve And the Explanation. . This is a must for all of humanity to hear and listen to. Mind blowing..especially if you know the real ancient history of us and our creation.

Akpablah Ezekiel

This gives me a great first-ever genuine relief indeed. Yet I’m confused about spirit, death and their influence and essence as part of human’s existence.

WTM Admin

That’s wonderful to learn how much relief Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is bringing you Ezekiel! What Jeremy introduces is a new scientific paradigm based on confronting, rather than the historic practice of avoiding, the issue of the human condition—which leads to so many new concepts such as that the human race lived in an original state of innocence, that nurturing created our moral soul, and that there is an integrative meaning to existence—so it does require some investigating and digestion to comprehend all aspects of the new paradigm. In terms of our spirit and death in his definitive book FREEDOM, par 840, Jeremy explains that when we die we don’t live on in any physical sense but we do live on in spirit, to quote: “…it can be understood that all human effort since time immemorial has been meaningful. Humans can now understand that each and every human life is extraordinarily significant and that their efforts on Earth, the real essence of their being, do carry on and endure. The spirit of humans, the enormous courage that they have exhibited on the journey to enlightenment through the incredible darkness, loneliness and hardship of having to live in denial, lives on in each of us and is carried on in all subsequent generations.” This is explained in more detail in Jeremy’s best selling book A Species In Denial, see section titled ‘Afterlife explained’. Also we recommended our FAQ 1.26 ‘What is soul, have we all got one, has it been repressed, and if so, how do we rehabilitate it?’

Very interesting very telling, very simple and informative, scary that without some self awareness, reflection and acceptance we could easily miss out on a much better version of ourselves and each other.

Wow finally done it l love it

Bernadette Desrochers

It’s realy not too hard. We all are différents types, and we can not all follow the social Laws, we have our own unique way of understanding...

WTM Admin

While it’s true that we all seem very different, with unique personalities, histories and temperaments, the truth is that we are all very similar. we are all insecure and preoccupied with proving our worth. This happens in different ways depending on our own encounter with the human condition (which includes our upbringing, our culture etc etc), but we can now see that we’re all wrestling with the same internal conflict.     Essentially Jeremy Griffith explains that when humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically upset — angry, egocentric and alienated — a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive, egocentric behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.
