Your perceptual depth and candidacy is remarkable. Many of us refute the truths you unleash because it would invalidate our foremost concern of protecting our humngous investment; the separate self sense’s great importance to all existence (and what we feel is duly deemed rewardable)!
Fix The World Admin
Thank you for your astute comment Christopher. It is true that the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad has been the most unbearably depressing and terrifying of subjects to face, and until that question could be answered, which it has in THE Interview, we have lived with a feeling of unworthiness, insecurity, shame and guilt and, necessarily, in almost total denial of the human condition, so it does take a while to fully appreciate the extent of our denial. The truth is that all humans suffer from the psychologically upset state of the human condition, but as we all digest this redeeming understanding we will realise that it is safe to connect with that fact.

Very important but not “a new science”... I used to have loud arguments with my old history teacher when I promulgated exactly this approach at age 12...
Fix The World Admin
What Jeremy Griffith presents is is completely unique and an extraordinary breakthrough. As THE Interview explains, despite the instinct and intellect elements having been recognised by many thinkers throughout history, and that our condition is caused by a clash between the two, what was missing from the analysis of all these thinkers was the ability to explain WHY this conflict occurred. As Jeremy says in Part 2 of this interview “while all contemporary thinkers have had the benefit of science having revealed the difference between the gene-based and nerve-based learning systems, and have therefore had the means to truthfully explain the human condition, those who did recognise the basic instinct vs intellect elements didn’t take their thinking far enough to actually explain the human condition.” This what is unique about Jeremy’s synthesis. He actually solves the dilemma of human condition of ‘why, when our instincts are to be loving and selfless, are we so competitive and selfish?’ by clarifying the difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, which is that the gene-based learning system (instincts) can orientate a species, but that the nerve-based learning system (intellect) is insightful, and that is the great breakthrough his work represents. This is fully explained in our FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’

Lose all the god references and I’ll nearly agree with you.
Fix The World Admin
We thought it helpful to include a reference to our FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology why are there religious references’. This explains the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so naturally in explaining the human condition religious references will be used, and through scientific explanation, finally demystified and reconciled. The acclaimed physicist Charles H. Townes summed up this ultimate reconciliation of science and religion best when he wrote, “they [science and religion] both represent man’s efforts to understand his universe and must ultimately be dealing with the same substance. As we understand more in each realm, the two must grow together…converge they must.”

It seems like he’s just talking to men about men.
Fix The World Admin
Hi Susan, THE Interview is about both men and women. It explains the universal psychosis all humans suffer from caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect, which significantly can be healed through understanding. The female perspective is certainly not missing from Jeremy Griffith’s treatise and both the male and female contribution to the human journey are fully explained and equally acknowledged. In fact, matriarchy is finally given the recognition and honour it deserves with Jeremy’s explanation of how it was women’s maternal love that gave us our moral soul and created humanity no less! (This love-indoctrination process is further explained in Freedom Essay 21.) And what is astonishing is that despite our psychologically upset condition this biological treatise establishes all humans are equally good, worthwhile, meaningful and wonderful regardless of gender, age, religion, etc. See biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women and also our FAQs on men and women.

Human behavior is not able to be explained. The reason for such difficulty is because each one is acting differently. It might be due to culture, environmental factors and creatures we go through. Let us hear from other experts in the world.
Fix The World Admin
It’s true that we all have unique personalities, histories and temperaments. But as biology shows, great diversity doesn’t mean there can’t be a common underlying cause behind different surface expressions. For example, despite the vast diversity of human appearances, more than 99.9% of our DNA is shared across all people — showing that outward differences in skin colour, height, or facial features mask deep biological unity. And at the psychological level, it is common knowledge amongst mental health experts that emotional trauma may express itself as anger, anxiety, addiction, or withdrawal — one source manifesting itself as many different coping mechanisms. All that is being explained here is that the ultimate source of human insecurity has been identified.
Essentially Jeremy Griffith explains that when humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically upset — angry, egocentric and alienated — a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. While each of us lives out our own individual form of it depending on our own encounter with the human condition (which includes our upbringing, our culture etc etc), we can now see that we’re all wrestling with the same internal conflict. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive, egocentric behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.
You can see the Commendations and Reviews that Jeremy’s work has recieved from experts across a huge range of disciplines.

Intellectually and intuitively. This feels just right. Not forced the scientific community supports intuition 100%.
Time is not linear and we’re evolving.

And the scientific community will come to recognise and support this breakthrough advancement. Ok, so my understanding is the same conclusion and thought process that I’ve had my whole life. No-one understood me. Now it’s out. Finally!
Fix The World Admin
Yes, while there have been thinkers throughout history who have identified or alluded to the elements of instinct and intellect involved in creating the human condition, it was only through finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work that the human condition could ever actually be solved. What Jeremy has done is provide the scientific answer to the great question of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, we are so angry, competitive and selfish. This is of great importance because having found the good reason that we had to defy our instincts means all our defensive, ‘bad’ behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. “Now it’s out. Finally!” There couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough.

What perfect timing and such simple truth. I have been doing healing work for many years with the intention of facilitating human compassionate wisdom. Fix The World Admin
Yes, the missing piece has always been the fundamental answer to the question of why we are so angry and competitive, not loving and cooperative. With that explanation now found with Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition, as Professor Harry Prosen, former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, says, “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of.”

The more connected and in relationship with the Natural world the more more love, care, compassion we experience. SIMPLE source of Moral instincts.
In the last few centuries Humans have become more and more DIS-connected as we develop the Earth with urban and economically-driven structures and lifestyles.
WTM Admin
With respect, our moral insincts did not simply arise through a connection to nature – all animals are connected to nature, but they are still in thrall to genetic opportunism, which causes them to compete for food and resources and mating opportunities. No, we can now understand that unlike other animals our human ancestors developed completely loving and cooperative instincts through the nurturing based love-indoctrination process (which is explained in Part 3 of THE Interview).
It is also true that we are experiencing a “DIS-connect” from nature, but again, we need to go deeper than that. The question screaming out to be answered is ‘WHY?’. Why have we become so disconnected; in fact, why have we turned on the natural world to the point that we are wreaking environmental devastation upon the planet. We can now understand that this behaviour is a symptom of a deeper problem and will not fundamentally change at all until we solve this dilemma of the human condition — our insecure, guilt-ridden, defensive capacity for ‘good’ and ‘evil’ — and bring self-understanding to the human situation.
The wonderful news is that now that our goodness is biologically established, which it has been through Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition, we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it.

Tell me about FIX THE WORLD!
WTM Admin
Hi Terry, Fix The World (formerly World Transformation Movement) is a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bringing transforming biological understanding to the underlying problem in all human affairs of the human condition. In particular, Fix The World recognises the breakthrough biological explanation of the human condition put forward by Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith. All our publications, subscription and membership are freely available on our website — there are no hidden costs. For more about Fix The World see our FAQ 3.1.
If you would like to pursue your interest we recommend watching our ideal introductory presentation THE Interview (at the top of our homepage) and you might find FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’ helpful. It explains that in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race so it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!

Pierre leblanc
Is this it. I’m really in the eye of a new platform
WTM Admin
Yes this is it Pierre as what biologist Jeremy Griffith presents in THE interview is the breakthrough resolution of the underlying problem in all human affairs of the human condition — thereby ending human conflict and suffering at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map to fix ourselves and world! And yes you have arrived in the eye of an entirely new scientific paradigm based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition! This opens up so many new concepts such as that the human race lived in an original state of innocence, that nurturing created our moral soul, and that there is an integrative meaning to existence so it does require some studying and digestion time to reasonably comprehend aspects of this new paradigm. For this reason we recommend people start with watching THE Interview at the top of the Fix The Worldhomepage as it is the ideal introduction to this critical new science.

This was a wonderful interview. Thank you for making me aware of the human condition. I will share this interview and hope it is plain speaking enough for all.
WTM Admin
Thank you for your comment Doris and it’s great the understanding presented in THE Interview is resonating with you and you want to share it! The fundamental explanation is actually very simple (presented as quickly as possible in Part 1) however the very nature of the human condition means explanation of it can be initially difficult to access as it has been the most terrifying of subjects to face because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species, and we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it. Wonderfully, however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most amazing of all gifts of understanding the human condition! It is helpful to be aware that people can have this initial reaction when sharing THE Interview so you might like to read our FAQ 1.16 about the deaf effect and its solution and Jeremy Griffith’s astonishingly revealing presentation The Great Guilt that causes the Deaf Effect that follows THE Interview.

James
This observation has been available at least since the time of Gurdjief and Ouspensky, Orage and Bennet. What do you offer in the way of teaching people how to understand your current interpretation of de- kundabuffering the world on an individual basis? I would like to help.
WTM Admin
Thank you so much for your interest James and offer to help. Yes there have been thinkers, both ancient and contemporary, who have recognised the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition. Biologist Jeremy Griffith talks about this in this interview saying “... while most contemporary thinkers have clung to the savage instincts excuse for our divisive behaviour, there have been some who, like the ancient thinkers, truthfully recognised the basic instinct vs intellect elements involved in producing the human condition. Eugène Marais, Paul MacLean and Arthur Koestler are a few who come to mind. But while all contemporary thinkers have had the benefit of science having revealed the difference between the gene-based and nerve-based learning systems, and have therefore had the means to truthfully explain the human condition, those who did recognise the basic instinct vs intellect elements didn’t take their thinking far enough to actually explain the human condition” (see Part 2 or pars 66 & 67 in the transcript). So, as our FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new? / How does Griffith’s explanation differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ explains, what was missing from the analysis of all these other thinkers was the ability to explain WHY this conflict occurred and that is what Jeremy’s work answers. He explains that while gene-based naturally selected instincts give species orientations to the world, only the nerve-based conscious intellect can understand cause and effect and thus manage change; so when the fully conscious mind emerged and began managing change from a basis of understanding the instincts were in effect intolerant of such experiments, putting them at odds with the intellect. This understanding of WHY the conflict between our instincts and intellect occurred that Jeremy presents is all-important because it is only this clarifying, redeeming and reconciling explanation of the nature of the struggle between our instinctive self and conscious self that at last brings peace to our divided selves, and transforms the human race.
In THE Interview Jeremy also explains all humans are born with an instinctive self or soul that is perfectly aligned to a cooperative and selfless way of living and that humans’ upset (angry, egocentric and alienated) behaviour is not a product of savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by this unavoidable clash between our instinct and intellect. In terms of practical implementation, all human aggression and anger, in our individual lives right through to international conflicts – is ultimately an expression of this psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state. We suggest that the only way we could end our destructive behaviour, and legitimately return to the cooperative and loving state humanity once lived in and we all long for, was through removing the insecurity that was driving that divisive behaviour, which is what Jeremy’s explanation makes possible. This is the rapidly transforming effect of being able to understand the human condition, however because it presents such a huge paradigm shift in our thinking it does take a little time to fully grasp. Our FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 are helpful as they talk about the far-reaching practical applications of this understanding. For the most detailed explanation of the transformation that is now possible we recommend Jeremy’s two seminal presentations on the topic: The Great Transformation and Sermon On The Beach. FAQ 6.5 also clarifies that this understanding is not another new age-type false start to a new world for humans that can’t and doesn’t last.
In terms of “de-kundabuffering the world” (“Kundabuffer” is a concept from George Gurdjieff that describes a hypothetical “organ” at the base of the spine that creates illusions and false consciousness) Jeremy explains in THE Interview the human condition has been the most terrifying of subjects because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species. So much so we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it and created false excuses or narratives for our destructive upset behaviour (like we have savage instincts) to allow us to get on with the noble but corrupting task of searching for knowledge. Now that knowledge is found, and our fundamental goodness is biologically established, we can finally be honest about our upset condition so denial is no longer necessary and the falseness is de-bunked. It is this honesty that transforms and heals the world! You might find the many affirmations from people talking about how this understanding has transformed their lives and their families lives on our Transformation page helpful to watch and our FAQ 3.4 includes many simple ways people can help support this understanding of the human condition that actually gives us the means to Fix The World.

Hope, Faith and Trust 🙏
WTM Admin
Thank you for your heartfelt comment Shellie. As biologist Jeremy Griffith writes in his earlier book The Great Exodus, in Part 1 ‘The Biology Of The Human Condition’: “With the finding of understanding of the human condition everything we have ever dreamed of suddenly becomes possible. Our deepest hope and faith that sometime, some day, somewhere, on the shoulders of all the efforts of all the humans who have ever lived, ameliorating insight into our condition would emerge has finally been realised. Humanity has finally broken free from the chains of ignorance about our species’ true worth and dignity.”

WTM Admin
It’s great to have your interest Artur. Explanation of the human condition at last allows us understand the source of our inner, and outer conflict, which is so immensely relieving. It actually ends our psychological pain and psychological death (which we presume you mean) at its source because it presents the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing understanding of the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition and provides the now urgently needed road map for the rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world! (It is important to clarify Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or (or Jah Jireh). Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life, a state that we subsequently ‘corrupted’ with the emergence of free will; ‘God’ being explained as the integrative meaning of life, see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the Integrative Meaning of life? or 'God?’)

Yes! Please help us all.
WTM Admin
The beauty of having the rational, fully accountable, biological explanation of the human condition at last, is that we can all now understand ourselves, and most importantly, start to heal ourselves. As the distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen (who wrote the Introduction to Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM) said: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin”.

Humans are the only species that refuse to be who they truly are.
WTM Admin
THE Interview explains our instinctive self is perfectly aligned to a cooperative and selfless way of living, so on one level, we are truly loving and cooperative; but as a result of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash we are also extremely psychologically upset, angry, egocentric and alienated. We have wisely ‘civilised’ that pyschological upset, so it is true that we have had to “refuse” to be our loving selves, as well as our commpletely destructive selves. But in walking that terrible path of denial we have in a way, truly been who we are, which is fundamentally heroic beings. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told.

Neal A Lampi
Capitalism.
WTM Admin
We can now see that capitalism has been a symptom of the human condition, not its cause. What is more, Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition finally explains the real reason for why humans’ competitive and power-hungry behaviour became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. Proving we were better than someone else gave us validation and reinforcement to counter the deep insecurity we felt about having to become self-corrupted. And so competition, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge, ultimately for self-knowledge. With our goodness and worth now biologically established, we no longer need to be preoccupied with proving our goodness and worth. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source so we can actually stop the destruction of ourselves and save the world.
Edwin
Very insightful explaining of the “human” condition and his possible redemption.
The redemption is not, in this explanation, achieved by multiple religious practices around today. Instead, we must become conscious that our original, unconditional, state was altogether good and begin to live good again. This is a challenging but not impossible journey ahead!
WTM Admin
It is true that we can now admit that we have a original state was “altogether good”, but what allows us to “begin to live good again” is that Jeremy Griffith’s biological treatise logically and accountably defends human “badness”. It is only with that defence of our ‘dark side’, through finding the good reason that we had to defy our instincts, that we can return to a state of selfless cooperatation, because all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defence for why we had to defy our instincts. No other approach could bring about a fundamental change in our situation because no other approach dealt with the fundamental issue of the source of our destructive behaviour.

Jeremiah 17:9
WTM Admin
Jeremiah 17:9 refers to the passage: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” We suggest that through the advances that have been made in science biologist Jeremy Griffith has been able to explain why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.

I - with a standard approval of this subject, have curiousity, and gives rise to questions for me:
• Why does the conscience, bring the competition?
and
• Has the fabric of reality - been, quote-unquote, “bound to, being”, “bound to comprehension”", and does that extend to, input/output and retension or distension?
Thank you!
WTM Admin
Thanks for your questions Devon. Firstly, yes, the subject of the human condition, why we are such a psychologically conflicted species, to the point that we have almost destroyed our planet, should be the key subject for everyone.
With regard to your first question, which relates to the fundamental ‘instinct vs intellect’ clash. What is explained in THE Interview, is that when our conscious mind became sufficiently developed to attempt to wrest self-management from our pre-established, loving moral instincts, those instincts would have in effect criticised the conscious mind’s experiments. The result was that our conscious mind or intellect became defensive; we become psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated.
With regard to your second question, key to the emergence of consciousness is ‘Integrative Meaning’ or the law of physics known as ‘negative entropy’ (see FAQ 5.3). Under the auspices of this law, matter grows more and more complex or ‘integrated’. In paragraph 337 of Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM, Jeremy quotes Teilhard de Chardin, who describes how this process ultimately gives rise to the emergence of consciousness, “life can no longer be regarded as a superficial accident in the universe: we must look on it as…ready to seep through the narrowest fissure at any point whatsoever in the cosmos—and, once it has appeared, obliged to use every opportunity and every means to reach the furthest extremity of everything it can attain: the ultimate, externally, of complexity, internally of consciousness.” So yes, consciousness is tied into the fabric of the universe in that sense. If you would like to gain a better understanding of exactly how consciousness was liberated in our distant ancestors, FAQ 5.4 gives an overview of what consciousness is, its origins and how humans acquired consciousness when other animals couldn’t.

We recommend our FAQ 1.10 ‘Why Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is verifiable, testable science’, in which it is explained that: "Any fair scrutiny of Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith’s human-condition-confronting-not-avoiding treatise will quickly reveal it is carefully argued and evidenced, and fully accountable, first-principle-based science.
It is, however, very important to appreciate that the subject of the human condition that Jeremy’s treatise addresses is the most important but also the most difficult and thus contentious of all subjects for humans to address because it deals with the ultimate confronting issue of ‘self’. When the renowned Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson wrote, ‘There is no grail more elusive or precious in the life of the mind than the key to understanding the human condition’ (The Social Conquest of Earth, 2012, p.1), he was making this point that while ‘understanding the human condition’ is the most ‘precious’ ‘grail’ of science, it is also the most ‘elusive’ ‘grail’ because the subject is the most difficult of all subjects for humans to engage with. It therefore has to be expected that Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition can cause hostile unfair attacks on it.
With that consideration in mind, we strongly recommend that everyone who has concerns about the scientific validity of Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition read this FAQ as it addresses the full range of criticisms Jeremy’s treatise has attracted from those accustomed to science’s prevailing human-condition-avoiding, mechanistic paradigm."
To that, we would add that Jeremy Griffith’s treatise has been scrutinised and subsequently attracted extraordinary commendations and reviews from scientists and thought leaders.

I have only just started to listen to the interview and I think that it’s a good and explosive reconditioning of offering us humans with a new way to reconditioning the way we have always been taught to believe that we have no option but to be aggressive, controlling, greedy, and I have been seeing all of what this interview is discussing ever since I became a Christian and I would encourage anyone who wants to try and be more should pick up a Bible and start from there. Amen
WTM Admin
While Christianity and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work. You might also be interested in our extensive FAQs on religion.

One of My Haunting Questions For Them Is ‘How Can You Justify Murdering Unarmed People Which Include Innocent Children ?’ Money Money Money?'
WTM Admin
Yes, but the question screaming to be answered is since this is the case why do we humans behave in this way? The agonising psychologically upset state of the human condition has created an extremely frustrated and ferociously angry ‘dark side’ in humans, which has meant we are capable of horrific acts but, we suggest the more one digests this understanding it does explain the great heroism of humans without condoning such behaviour. For instance, we now know that we had to search for knowledge, ultimately sufficient knowledge to explain the human condition — why we are divisively rather than cooperatively behaved — but that this search corrupted us, which was the price we had to pay. This point about our fundamental responsibility to search for knowledge even though it was upsetting and corrupting, allows us to appreciate that our upset is a heroic state. Our FAQ 1.38 which answers the questions ‘How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’ importantly explains, this understanding of why we became upset as a species does not condone or sanction ‘evil’, rather, through bringing understanding to humans’ inevitable various degrees of psychological upset, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate all the psychological upset in us humans and stop human suffering all together.

Examine any species on this planet that has an over abundance of food supply and my guess is you will find harmony.
Solve the hunger crisis in the world and our species will naturally evolve, with it will come the empathy we so need.
WTM Admin
In Part 1 of THE Interview Jeremy Griffith addresses the almost universal excuse for our angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour, which is that it is due to selfish, must-reproduce-our-genes, survival-of-the-fittest, ‘savage instincts’ within us, which is what you are ultimately advocating. However, with our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state now defended, it is now safe to admit that our human instincts are loving – see Part 3 of THE Interview.
The truth is that solving the human condition is the key to solving all the problems on the planet, because all the problems we’re experiencing on this planet, aside from natural phenomenon, are caused by us humans. We are the ones who are egocentric, selfish, greedy, materialistic, fake, angry as hell. And so it’s that underlying issue — our destructively behaved, so-called human condition — that really has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems.
Patrick
I want to know if he believes in God?
WTM Admin
Hi Patrick, thank you for your question. Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict, ignore or exclude a belief in God, or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life; see Freedom Essay 23. We also think you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, especially FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

I honestly enjoyed everything and when I read freedom in 2022 it was a lot to take in like and I had an experience that I didn’t talk about with anybody for a couple years it was kind of scary but it helped me connect some things I enjoyed it thoroughly and I finally understood but I’m still kind of buzzing on some things I want to read it actually in a book instead of on my phone and my Kindle
WTM Admin
Thanks Mindi, yes finally being able to understand the battle between our instinct and intellect is immensely relieving. The burden of the human condition has caused so much unbearable suffering for humans it has been a deeply tragic reality. The core breakthrough of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can now know that our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. That is the overarching comforting truth that loves and unites all humans now and we can look after ourselves with great compassion, love and kindness. As discussed in THE Interview, without the defence of our fundamental goodness, the human condition has been an unbearably confronting and off-limits subject so we caution against overly confronting the upset within us which is something everyone needs to be mindful of, as our FAQ 1.19 summarises.

Take heart, David, because as you can see from the thousands of impressive commendations on our website from thought leaders and members of the public, and the over 80 WTM Centres that have opened across the globe, the relief and excitement of finally being able to make sense of human life is turning into a tidal wave of world-saving support!! As Part 4 of THE Interview and our FAQ 1.40 explain, while the world is fast approaching a point of no return, this understanding will turn things around incredibly quickly, because it explains and solves the underlying cause of all our selfishness, anger and egocentricity. We also recommend reading Freedom Essay 15: ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’.

I fail to see how this is any different
WTM Admin
Hi Stephen, while many thinkers throughout history have recognised that our divisive, competitive and aggressive human condition is a product of a clash between our instinct and intellect, solving it required finding the clarifying explanation of the nature of the conflict between our instinct and intellect, because only that could bring reconciling and transforming peace to our conflicted and divided selves, which is what biologist Jeremy Griffith has done, and what is unique about his work. We suggest our FAQ 1.13 titled ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’

Yes it’s wonderfully that the human condition has been explained but that ain’t going to do anything for anyone that’s 50 + years is it now.
By the time humanity changes for good or bad most of the now world will be dead anyway but that’s life i guess.
WTM Admin
Hi Jason, we suggest once you fully grasp the significance of being able to understand the human condition the immediate personal benefit is life-transforming! We suggest our FAQ 1.5 ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ which explains this explanation gives us the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour in ourselves and in everyone else with 100% clarity and confidence. It will change how you view humans, and most importantly yourself—and your behaviour will change naturally as a result, and just as quickly. In a nutshell, the eternal battle for humans has been to validate ourselves, establish once and for all that we are fundamentally good and not bad, and it’s that deepest and most important of all battles that has finally been won. Solving the human condition solves all the confusion, frustration and suffering in human life at its source. When you grasp this we guarantee you will be jumping out of your skin with excitement. Honestly, this is all so freeing of your life—in fact, so relieving of any and every situation—the excitement is nearly too much to bear! We also recommend reading Freedom Essay 15: ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’.
As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance but we are well on our way as you can see from the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy Griffith’s work with outstanding commendations from scientists and thought leaders and over 80 WTM Centres all around the world! As well you feel the excitement and relief this brings to our lives in the daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview at the top of our homepage HumanCondition.com. Comments on THE Interview
Since THE Interview between Craig Conway and Jeremy Griffith first aired in 2020, tens of thousands of viewers have commented on it on HumanCondition.com — this is an archive of all those comments, including helpful responses from our team.
This is page 159 of 180 (pages run from the oldest comments to the latest).
The Comments below were made between January 5, 2026 and January 17, 2026.
Your perceptual depth and candidacy is remarkable. Many of us refute the truths you unleash because it would invalidate our foremost concern of protecting our humngous investment; the separate self sense’s great importance to all existence (and what we feel is duly deemed rewardable)!

I have spent years reviewing the work of Jung, Joseph Murphy and others. I truly appreciate this perspective and will give it the study worthy of its groundbreaking view. Thank you.
Very important but not “a new science”... I used to have loud arguments with my old history teacher when I promulgated exactly this approach at age 12...
Profound
Pls listen to it
Thank you for your enrichment, enlightening and encouraging interview.
Very illuminating and inspiring. Important and riveting, after all there is hardly more important subject for us humans to study and understand, than our very Selves!
Lose all the god references and I’ll nearly agree with you.
Sounds very hopeful
Thank you so much for this. Let’s hope that suffering will melt away.
I’ve went through this in my life. I feel like this is my stories.
Must watch! If you don’t, you’ll never know!
It seems like he’s just talking to men about men.

All that is being explained here is that the ultimate source of human insecurity has been identified.Essentially Jeremy Griffith explains that when humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. You can see the Commendations and Reviews that Jeremy’s work has recieved from experts across a huge range of disciplines.Intellectually and intuitively. This feels just right. Not forced the scientific community supports intuition 100%. Time is not linear and we’re evolving. As humans were ascending. And it makes so much Sense.
Exactly — we know that the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition is true because not only does it feel right intuitively, it is also completely intellectually accountable. And the scientific community will come to recognise and support this breakthrough advancement. See the Commendations and Reviews from eminent thought leaders and scientists that this work has already recieved.
G’day Jeremy, Just back from beautifull Australia and living in Bretagne , following you since years..wished all world politicians knew you and create a better world through common sense and reading your book. Happy 2026 and big hug mate..
Enlightening.
Ok, so my understanding is the same conclusion and thought process that I’ve had my whole life. No-one understood me. Now it’s out. Finally!
Thank you for everything
What perfect timing and such simple truth. I have been doing healing work for many years with the intention of facilitating human compassionate wisdom. Joining the true spirit guiding our human condition with our physical human brutal… conditions you have given me hundreds of points to help bridge the gap! My heart to yours, gregory
I found this interview conducted by Craig Conway very enlightening, enthralling really, and this is the reason I am so grateful and humbled to have finally found this world transforming movement 🙏🏿💓 Infinite love

Yes, but this time fully conscious. As the poet TS Eliot wrote, “‘We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploring / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time’”.
It’s important 👋👋👋👍👍👍
Fascinating information, my eyes are opened! Thanks.
The more connected and in relationship with the Natural world the more more love, care, compassion we experience. SIMPLE source of Moral instincts. In the last few centuries Humans have become more and more DIS-connected as we develop the Earth with urban and economically-driven structures and lifestyles.
‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it.Very commendable the theory quite interesting. Thank you
I waited for you my whole life

Tell me about FIX THE WORLD!
For more about Fix The World see our FAQ 3.1.If you would like to pursue your interest we recommend watching our ideal introductory presentation THE Interview (at the top of our homepage) and you might find FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’ helpful. It explains that in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race so it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough!Am very much interested to know more. This is amazing 👏
Thank you for this absolutely brilliant interview & information. Much Love from Belgrade, Serbia (South Europe).
Powerful!
Is this it. I’m really in the eye of a new platform
For this reason we recommend people start with watching THE Interview at the top of the Fix The World homepage as it is the ideal introduction to this critical new science.
I àm excited to listen to what is being shared here. I will cóme and share this with the reflections that come to me. Blessings and 💕 love..
This was a wonderful interview. Thank you for making me aware of the human condition. I will share this interview and hope it is plain speaking enough for all.
Incredible
Honestly I am so glad 😊 to be here much love. 😍😍

Amazing explanation! Thank you so much !
This observation has been available at least since the time of Gurdjief and Ouspensky, Orage and Bennet. What do you offer in the way of teaching people how to understand your current interpretation of de- kundabuffering the world on an individual basis? I would like to help.
This understanding of WHY the conflict between our instincts and intellect occurred that Jeremy presents is all-important because it is only this clarifying, redeeming and reconciling explanation of the nature of the struggle between our instinctive self and conscious self that at last brings peace to our divided selves, and transforms the human race.In THE Interview Jeremy also explains all humans are born with an instinctive self or soul that is perfectly aligned to a cooperative and selfless way of living and that humans’ upset (angry, egocentric and alienated) behaviour is not a product of savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by this unavoidable clash between our instinct and intellect. FAQ 6.5 also clarifies that this understanding is not another new age-type false start to a new world for humans that can’t and doesn’t last.In terms of “de-kundabuffering the world” (“Kundabuffer” is a concept from George Gurdjieff that describes a hypothetical “organ” at the base of the spine that creates illusions and false consciousness) Jeremy explains in THE Interview the human condition has been the most terrifying of subjects because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species. You might find the many affirmations from people talking about how this understanding has transformed their lives and their families lives on our Transformation page helpful to watch and our FAQ 3.4 includes many simple ways people can help support this understanding of the human condition that actually gives us the means to Fix The World.Hope, Faith and Trust 🙏

No more pain✝️🛐🕎 NO MORE DEATHS 💔 😌 💯 😢 ✌️🌏⚡️ JAH JIREH BLESS you 🙏 ♥️ ❤️ ✨️ 🙌 💙 🙏 ♥️ ❤️ ✨️
Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life, a state that we subsequently ‘corrupted’ with the emergence of free will; ‘God’ being explained as the integrative meaning of life, see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the Integrative Meaning of life? or 'God?’)
Extremely thought provoking. Thank you so much. 👏🏽❤️🙏🏽
Yes! Please help us all.
I listened to him keenly and it felt reasonable and logical. I would like to hear further from him.
Such great insight! I’ve used it to train my AI chat models many times. Thank you!
Humans are the only species that refuse to be who they truly are.
Thank you so much for a new understanding!
I am in awe. Still digesting all the information. What amazing insight and have so much to learn and absorb for personal self growth. Thank You for sharing.

Jeremy presents his view in the most understandable way that doesn’t need deep psychological explanations to follow. The human condition, from practical observable human behavior to a simplified version of observation.
Capitalism.
Yes finally....
Jeremiah 17:9
Jeremiah 17:9 refers to the passage: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” We suggest that through the advances that have been made in science biologist Jeremy Griffith has been able to explain why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.
Thank you...much needed to wake us up with some positivity and courage.

Thank you and your awesome guest. This is awesome. I am so excited to have found this content 😃 peace!
I - with a standard approval of this subject, have curiousity, and gives rise to questions for me: • Why does the conscience, bring the competition? and • Has the fabric of reality - been, quote-unquote, “bound to, being”, “bound to comprehension”", and does that extend to, input/output and retension or distension? Thank you!
If you would like to gain a better understanding of exactly how consciousness was liberated in our distant ancestors, FAQ 5.4 gives an overview of what consciousness is, its origins and how humans acquired consciousness when other animals couldn’t.Awareness of truth is beautiful

Something everyone needs to hear!
This is totally false, and built out of context beliefs. I challenge you and anyone to sit down and talk with me and I will prove it.
It therefore has to be expected that Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition can cause hostile unfair attacks on it.With that consideration in mind, we strongly recommend that everyone who has concerns about the scientific validity of Jeremy’s treatise on the human condition read this FAQ as it addresses the full range of criticisms Jeremy’s treatise has attracted from those accustomed to science’s prevailing human-condition-avoiding, mechanistic paradigm."To that, we would add that Jeremy Griffith’s treatise has been scrutinised and subsequently attracted extraordinary commendations and reviews from scientists and thought leaders. It was so inspiring and so understanding you left me speechless
I understand that you are correct and what you are teaching is true.
This is very educational.
This is something that all human beings must listen to
Spirit has prolonged my life to assist in this awakening. this knowledge needs to be gotten out before we all leave this life
I think this is the best idea i have heard for a very long time. Something has to change. Finally a solution to this consumer driven madness.
Bring it on
I have only just started to listen to the interview and I think that it’s a good and explosive reconditioning of offering us humans with a new way to reconditioning the way we have always been taught to believe that we have no option but to be aggressive, controlling, greedy, and I have been seeing all of what this interview is discussing ever since I became a Christian and I would encourage anyone who wants to try and be more should pick up a Bible and start from there. Amen
Just as We Literally Have Everything We Need To Survive on Planet Earth, We Want To Destroy It All Because of Racial Hatred and Religious Bigotry. P..A..T..H..E..T..I..C..! Do Not Forget The Weapons Manufactures. There is No Doubt That They ‘Create Wars!’ Got to Upgrade Those Weapons Systems!!!! Bastards! One of My Haunting Questions For Them Is ‘How Can You Justify Murdering Unarmed People Which Include Innocent Children ?’ Money Money Money?'
I love this it is good
I would like to read over and over again with understanding
Very interesting. Want to hear again and will listen to more.
How can I help! I’ve noticed that humans have become that life is easily expendable
Hi Freddy, thank you for your question; our ‘How To Help’ page lists the many ways people can help become involved, which includes setting up a WTM Centre, and helping to disseminate this world-saving information.
Second thought Examine any species on this planet that has an over abundance of food supply and my guess is you will find harmony. Solve the hunger crisis in the world and our species will naturally evolve, with it will come the empathy we so need.
And so it’s that underlying issue — our destructively behaved, so-called human condition — that really has to be addressed and fixed if we are to solve the world’s problems.I want to know if he believes in God?
I love this
Excellent work of art which gives us the thinkers on the way the state of mind and the subconscious works & effects our mind body and soul. We need to unwind with this teaching and find the human within us.
This has been the most intelligent and amazing information on The Human Condition that automatically screams “All Of This Makes Sense” and I am fascinated by this. I can’t wait to learn more about it! Thank you so much for this opportunity and Blessing!
I’m intrigued?
Hi Rony, there is a feast of knowledge and understanding to explore on our website. The best place to start is to watch THE Interview (at the top of our homepage HumanCondition.com) in which Jeremy Griffith presents his breakthrough ‘Instinct vs Intellect’ explanation of the human condition, it’s the ideal introduction to his work. From there our homepage provides a wonderful road map to progress with all our key materials. We are a not-for-profit organisation and make all our material and publications free to read online, watch, listen to and even download and print!
Wow ! The faster we get this out , the better the chance we have to SAVE ourselves, from ourselves! We are still right , until all that is left , is left .🤔
Can’t wait to see the interview
I listened to the interview for the 3rd time today and will again.
Want to listen again and share.
Yes it’s wonderfully that the human condition has been explained but that ain’t going to do anything for anyone that’s 50 + years is it now. By the time humanity changes for good or bad most of the now world will be dead anyway but that’s life i guess.
We also recommend reading Freedom Essay 15: ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’.As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance but we are well on our way as you can see from the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy Griffith’s work with outstanding commendations from scientists and thought leaders and over 80 WTM Centres all around the world! As well you feel the excitement and relief this brings to our lives in the daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview at the top of our homepage HumanCondition.com. We also encourage you to join our Facebook group (with over 90,000 members) is highly recommended because there is so much helpful, practical and inspired discussion taking place there about living with this immensely relieving knowledge!Amazing information. Thoughts I always had.
Very true
