Having trouble getting thru this first part, because he is describing negative attributes as “human behavior”... when what he is really describing MALE behavior. Doesn’t apply to most women.

Fix The World Admin

We encourage you to persevere C as astonishingly, with explanation of the human condition, we can at last understand and reconcile the huge gulf that has existed between men and women. We can understand why men especially, but also women, suffer from the human condition and all it’s related behaviours including selfishness and egocentricity, but that despite this we are all equally good and equally heroic! Molecular biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women is especially powerful along with our FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile men and women?’

Beatriz

Thank you for the information. Amazing explanation. So much wisdom to take in. Many blessings. Much love.

rob chapman

peace and love has always been there, fix those sociopathic phsycological damaged humans highest priority

Fix The World Admin

Hi Rob, as THE Interview explains, all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. In the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour, including extreme states of psychological damage including sociopathic behaviour. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’. You may also find FAQ 1.40 of interest as it addresses the questions ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’

Cathè

We could desperately benefit from this here in Belfast Ireland. The suicide and depression rates are off the scales :(

Jo

So, you’re saying there may be hope for the human race after all. I sincerely hope you are correct.

Sam

This video made me feel hope again for the human race as we seem to be entering into a dark time of polarization of political views and growing tension and violence with such destructive weaponry.

Fix The World Admin

Yes Sam the world is certainly is in a terrifying endgame situation but as you are sensing this understanding can turn things around incredibly quickly. This is because it explains and solves the underlying cause of all our selfishness, anger and egocentricity; see FAQ 1.40 which addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. And this is just hopeful thinking as we are getting there and starting to fix the world! For the growing momentum of support that is building for biologist Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition, see the thousands of impressive commendations Jeremy’s work has received from thought leaders and members of the public, and the over 80 Fix the World Centres that have opened across the globe.

This is the most relevant knowledge for becoming aware of the power that every human being possesses and that we need to remember in order to live in Eden. I am deeply grateful for having embraced it in my consciousness.

Lily

He does not say anything for real. All comparisons are not real. He obviously is unaware of the work of Frans de Waal. There is not such a distinction between us and other animals besides primates. All animals care for eachother. The real question should be what is it that we lost our compassionate, maybe it is our food...i personally think that we should forget our distinction between us and other organisms. So we should not relieve our guilt, we should be aware of ehat we are doing. It is our meat addiction that makes us brutal, and violent. And why is he using politics to make his point?

Fix The World Admin

Thank you for your comment Lily. It is important to note that since what is being introduced is a new scientific paradigm based on confronting rather than the historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition—which leads to so many new concepts such as that the human race lived in an original state of innocence, that nurturing created our moral soul, and that there is an integrative meaning to existence—it does require some studying and digestion time to reasonably comprehend aspects of the new paradigm.     Biologist Jeremy Griffith explains that our species once lived cooperatively and lovingly and that we acquired our “compassionate” moral instincts through nurturing—a process he terms ‘love-indoctrination’. The great significance of Jeremy’s work is that we can at last explain the real reason why we became upset and “lost our compassion” because we can understand that our selfish and destructive behaviour is the result of a psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. With this knowledge we no longer have to deny such confronting truths as the immense importance of nurturing in our lives and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living.     Jeremy is aware of primatologist Frans de Waal and mentions his work in his definitive book FREEDOM. You might be interested in reading FREEDOM chapter 6:8 where Jeremy mentions de Waal and discusses why the Social Ecological Model is seriously flawed, to quote “In essence, this model claimed to explain bonobos’ extraordinary ‘respect for others’, ‘personal restraint’, ‘loving’, ‘moral’, cooperative nature without a single mention of the importance of nurturing!”.     In THE Interview Jeremy explains the key biological distinction between our selfless behaviour and cooperation seen in other animals, is that humans have genuinely selfless instincts. Part 3 of THE Interview especially evidences humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition not the genetic-opportunism-based, animal condition. While other animals appear to be cooperating this type of behaviour is actually a subtle form of selfishness, driven by the genetically selfish strategies of reciprocity (or kin selection). The organism is cooperating for a benefit—‘if you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours’—it is reciprocal so it’s ultimately still selfish. This is fully explained in chapter 4 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM and Freedom Essay 25 provides a summary of this biology.     To the extent that selfless behaviour is discernible amongst other animals, Jeremy recognises the extraordinary cooperativeness of bonobos. As he reveals in THE Interview they demonstrate the nurturing based love-indoctrination process that we humans went through. And in FREEDOM Jeremy explains that every species would try to develop as much love-indoctrinated integration as their circumstances permit, which can be seen in animals like dolphins and elephants, but how their physical and environmental situations have limited them from achieving that, meaning they still remain in the genetically selfish ‘animal condition’.     Understanding the human condition actually reconciles all the polarities of human life including politics. It ends the left vs right divide — revealing both sides played a role, and allowing the whole, divisive business of politics to at last come to a close, see FAQ 7.1 ‘How does this reconcile politics’

Maurice

Too much introduction!!!

Fix The World Admin

Hi Maurice, while great care has been taken to present the explanation as quickly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), opening up the underlying issue in all human affairs of the human condition does mean that there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered, which make up Parts 2, 3 & 4 of THE Interview. However, if you would like a shorter introduction our FAQ 1.3 presents a tight summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Essentially, when we humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was that we became psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the upset state we refer to as the human condition. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

Wilma

Very thought provoking!

Peter Okioma Omari

The interview prepares us for the present and future challenges.

Cecile

I think I heard some of it quite a while back but it was not something new to me at the time. However I decided I should hear it again as I was tired at the time and might have missed something.

Fix The World Admin

We greatly appreciate your willingness to relisten to THE Interview Cecile as that is exactly what we recommend people do as there is a lot to absorb with this new scientific paradigm. Also, as Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview, the human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad and our fear of this interface can make it hard to understand all that is explained in one viewing (FAQ 1.16 explains this initial ‘deaf effect’). We suggest that what is unique about Jeremy’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. Our FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ is very helpful and Video/Freedom Essay 4 expands further on other thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who have recognised the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition. You might also like to look at the outstanding commendations Jeremy’s work has received from leading thinkers and scientists on our Commendations & Reviews page on our website.

Great interview ! It explained a lot about the human race.

Yvonne

Such a breathtaking awakening as to what is possible!

James

Incredible, just this short insight has definitely opened my eyes, that book won’t save the world that’s already gone let’s hope it can save humanity. Much love and appreciation!

Fix The World Admin

Take heart James as it can take a little time to see just how this critical new science can save the world and humanity. Our FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world?’ and explains, this knowledge will solve problems very quickly because instead of us being preoccupied with proving ourselves artificially (through seeking power, fame, fortune and glory) all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and destruction in all the corners of the world. So, in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world, free of the agony of the human condition, for humans and our planet.

Bradford

Brilliant 👏

Rebecca

The scope of Jeremy Griffiths thought provoking interview facilitates / requires my giving it a second and likely third ‘listen to’. As my country (USA) has become immersed in chaos and destruction of unimaginable magnitudes, I yearn to be able to step outside of the despair I am experiencing by fully understanding Jeremy Griffiths values of the human condition. January 2026

Fix The World Admin

Thank goodness you have found Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition Rebecca as this critical new science will turn things around incredibly quickly because it explains and solves the underlying cause of all our destructive selfishness, anger and egocentricity; see our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why understanding the human condition solves everything’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world?’. Also you are so right that to fully absorb all the ramifications of this explanation, that reach into our understanding of every discipline, relistening or watching THE Interview a few times is exactly what we recommend. We also encourage people to subscribe to our mailing list to receive one email per week and occasional News Flashes and join our Facebook Group to learn more about this amazing, human-condition-resolved new world.

Lester

This interview has been very enlighting, and while watching couldn’t help but thing it somehow ties in with the teachings of Eckhart Tolle’s book, The Power Of Now, A guide to spiritual enlightenment. I would like to hear your take on that.

Fix The World Admin

Hi Lester, it’s wonderful to have your interest. We suggest that as you keep absorbing THE Interview you will see the huge distinction between Jeremy Griffith’s and Eckhart Tolle’s work. Understanding the human condition is the great unlocking point in the human journey of conscious thought and enquiry and its resolution leads, at last, to the real basis for personal and global transformation. While the New Age movement, and its proponents like Tolle, focus on teaching us to restrain and transcend our anger, alienation and selfish egocentricity, the obvious truth is we needed to resolve it at its source and that is the great breakthrough Jeremy’s work presents. We are thinking beings, we need brain food not brain anaesthetic; we needed answers for our conscious thinking mind, without that all else is ultimately futile. Our FAQ 6.5 explains this critical difference between Fix The World and pseudo-idealistic movements (in addition to Part 4 of THE Interview). To quote: “The many new age and self-help gurus like Eckhart Tolle and Bruce Lipton, and courses, theories and therapies, like ‘mindfulness’, ‘A Course In Miracles’ and ‘living in the now’, don’t deal with the source of our species’ corrupted condition and biologically establish our fundamental goodness as a species. There have been thousands of years of different techniques for calming, restraining, repressing, and even transcending our psychologically upset human condition, which have been very valuable in managing our upset, but none of them have brought an end to the upset state of the human condition—it’s still rampant everywhere—and the reason is because they don’t solve the human condition, bring relieving understanding to it. As one of our subscribers summarised, ‘I can now see why ‘A Course in Miracles’ didn’t work for me. I completed the 365 day course three years running to try and heal myself from deep depression and anxiety. After reading [Freedom] Essay 15 and studying Freedom [the book] it becomes clear that without the explanation of WHY we are so upset ACIM can only act as a sticky plaster with the ‘scream’ still going on underneath.’ Being able to understand the human condition is what actually allows humans to accept and be nonjudgmental about their pain, and truly be calmly mindfully aware about their life.”

I like what ur saying. But most animals kill to eat

Fix The World Admin

Thanks Caes. Yes, they do. However humans are different. Part 1 of THE Interview begins with an exposition of this idea that our competitive, selfish and aggressive behaviour is instinctive, the result of ‘survival of the fittest’ genes. As Jeremy explains, “Surely this idea that we have savage competitive and aggressive, must-reproduce-our-genes instincts cannot be the real reason for our species’ competitive and aggressive behaviour because, after all, words used to describe our human behaviour such as egocentric, arrogant, inspired, depressed, deluded, pessimistic, optimistic, artificial, hateful, cynical, mean, sadistic, immoral, brilliant, guilt-ridden, evil, psychotic, neurotic and alienated, all recognise the involvement of OUR species’ fully conscious thinking mind. They demonstrate that there is a psychological dimension to our behaviour; that we don’t suffer from a genetic-opportunism-driven ‘animal condition’, but a conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled HUMAN CONDITION.” He goes on to explain that “What’s more, we humans have cooperative, selfless and loving moral instincts, the voice or expression of which we call our conscience—which is the complete opposite of competitive, selfish and aggressive instincts. As Charles Darwin said, ‘The moral sense…affords the best and highest distinction between man and the lower animals’” And beyond, in Part 3 of THE Interview, Jeremy explains how our ancestors did acquire our instinctive cooperative and loving moral conscience.

Chris

Soooooooo not coping

Fix The World Admin

You need to give yourself permission to take your time Chris. As THE Interview explains, the human condition has been the most terrifying of subjects to face because it is the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species, and we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of it – so there is a lot to consider and digest, which just takes time. It’s like we’ve been stumbling around in the dark and suddenly someone turns the lights on which is relieving and exciting, but is also necessarily extremely exposing of our immense upset and denial, so we need time to adjust. What is so important to remember in this process, as Jeremy Griffith stresses in THE Interview, is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves with great compassion and kindness and significantly we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us (as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises).

Flor Daquilanea

🧐 logic on human behavior will destroy all religions

Fix The World Admin

We can now understand that while the corrupting search for liberating knowledge was underway religion played a significant role as both the custodian of the ideal state and as a means of solace for those exhausted by the corrupting journey. However, it follows that with the redeeming biological understanding of why we had to depart from our original innocence now found, those metaphysical, faith-based accounts that looked after us are now redundant. In fact, what people discover is Jeremy Griffith’s work actually reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. In fact, it presents the fulfilment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves, see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.

Bella mason

Awesome & would love to read more of your writings! Very informative.

Fix The World Admin

Hi Bella, it’s great you’ve watched THE Interview as it’s the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition. From there, ideally you would read the two expansions: Jeremy’s mid-length 2025 book The Human Condition, and his definitive book, FREEDOM. Blanco

Gives you more clarity in who you really are and also in your own behaviour in our daily lives, in particular on what we went through from our early childhood to now, we have to recognise and try to solve it in our own understanding after listening to this interview. Sometimes we live in denial because we know for sure that we don’t understand us as humans like The Biologist Jeremy Griffith has explained.

Fix The World Admin

Thank you very much for your thoughtful comment Blanco. Yes, as Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview, all humans suffer from the universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect, and passed on from generation to generation, primarily through our exposure to the human condition in our childhood. As a result, we became angry, egocentric and alienated or in a word ‘upset’ - so all humans, to varying degrees, suffer from the human condition and are therefore psychologically upset. However, as psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen, a former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, wrote: “the beauty of Griffith’s treatise is that the healing starts at the macro level of the universal human condition; the healing of the shame and blame that the whole human race has suffered from…It brings the greater context and love to all human psychosis and suffering, and then, from under the umbrella of that safe position, everyone can gradually work inwards to their particular experience of all the imperfections in human life that have now, finally, been made sense of” — see FAQ 1.34 ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis?’ and also FAQ 1.35 on ‘Does this heal anxiety?’.     The key breakthrough of this understanding is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. Our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge so the human story is the greatest, most heroic story ever told. That macro comforting truth looks after all humans now and we can treat ourselves with great compassion and kindness, and most significantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us. This is summarised in our FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’.

I’m so grateful too have found you Dr. Everything makes sense too me now, thankyou for explaining in layman’s terms, what I’ve always felt deep down in my human psychy, as I’ve ultimately always felt that the answer simple. I applaud you, and can’t wait too learn more, thankyou.

Still absorbing all this as l read on, so far very Intelligent insight. Where you say instinct Vs intellect, to me instinct is still around today. Amazes me if you have intellect why do humans are hellbent on being copycats. Same vehicles, same haircuts, same patterns of drinking in pubs, that cannot be intellect. And when the A1 gets it’s foot in the human brain, as l was reading the other they say mobile phones will be obsolete, communication A1 chips in the brain, conscious intellect which is a must for learned people or will A1 change this and we go back to what we learnt in school psychotic propaganda.?Wayne

Fix The World Admin

Yes, as Jeremy Griffith says, “Why do we thinking, rational, immensely clever, supposedly sensible beings behave so ruthlessly, competitively and selfishly that human life has become all but unbearable and we have nearly destroyed our own planet? Are we a flawed species, some sort of evolutionary mistake, fundamentally worthless beings—or are we possibly the absolute heroes of the story of life on Earth? How are we to make sense of the awesome contradictions of the human condition? Yes, how are we to truly understand ourselves—because without redeeming, biological understanding there can be no real peace for the human mind.”     Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here and his book FREEDOM.     You can read about the limitations of AI, particularly with regard to its current inability to understand the human condition, in Jeremy’s book, AI, Aliens & Conspiracy Theories: The Truthful Analysis.

Seriously, I heard this story and interpretation in first grade of a Protestant (Christian ) school in the Netherlands!

Fix The World Admin

We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy Griffith’s work.     While Christianity and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM. What Jeremy is putting forward is that for there to be a fundamental change in our human situation we had to understand the human condition – humans’ capacity for good and evil – from a biological perspective.

I want to fix the world!

Fix The World Admin

It’s wonderful to learn of your enthusiasm Phebeanna. Our How To Help page lists the many ways people can help, which includes setting up a WTM Centre, and helping to disseminate this world-saving information. As it saus there, “‘All that really matters now is that this new paradigm of the reconciling and redeeming understanding of the human condition is appreciated and disseminated to the world’s population, because it alone can heal the human race and save the world. All everyone should do now is support the truth about the human condition and it will achieve everything everyone has ever dreamt of. If we look after this information it, in turn, will look after each of us and the world. That is the mantra of the new world that understanding of the human condition brings about.”

Melissa Munoz

Thank You for the video! Well done.

Mary

Hi thanks for the very good food for thought I was wondering, if this is the same as the war between good and evil for humans. Which is said in most religions???

Fix The World Admin

Hi Mary, yes most religions describe the battle between our loving, albeit dictatorial moral instincts and corrupting, knowledge searching intellect. For example, as THE Interview explains that the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race. It establishes that we humans are good and not bad after all. With this understanding we can finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. You might be interested in our FAQs on religion.

What a beautiful world that would be....again❤️

Fix The World Admin

All humanity has been waiting for is the biological understanding of the human condition, and that is what is presented here. With that understanding, all our old defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation become redundant, because at last we have the real defence for why we had to leave the paradise of oru cooperative and loving past. While this necessarily has a slow start, humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet, including teaching other people about this redeeming information, but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can (see FAQ 1.4)! As Jeremy Griffith explains in his book FREEDOM ch 9:9: “Although this new world for humans, which the World Transformation Movement has been established to facilitate, will, as has been stated, have a slow beginning because humans initially find it difficult even taking in or ‘hearing’ discussion about the human condition, once the WTM is discovered, word of it and what it offers every human and the world will spread like wildfire.’”     So, yes, humanity returns to a loving cooperative paradise, which is where we started from, but this time ‘knowing’! This return is summed up by T.S. Eliot’s quote: “We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploring / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time”.

Rev.Dr.Eugene S.Adjei

It is always good to advance from one level of our human knowledge n understanding of our race instinctively n make a progress fom where we stand today against the odds of where we will be tomorrow in our Human Conditionality n in advancement scientifically both.

A desperate attempt to salvage the something from nothing problem of Darwinism. Science is not God, it is always in Flux. He uses “corrupted” and “redeemed” (which are not scientific terms) to explain what he recognizes as wrong behavior. This borrows from the objective right and wrong( good and evil) of Theism. If there is no God then morality is just a construct of the mind and no man is any more right than another in his behavior. It’s all just individual opinion and survival of the fittest. A belief in objective right or wrong necessitates an origin outside of ourselves and higher than ourselves that we strive toward or face outcome of ignoring.

Fix The World Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God, or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. Although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of the negative entropy driven integrative meaning of life; see Freedom Essay 23. We also think you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, especially FAQs ‘What is God’ and ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

Curious 🤨

Fix The World Admin

We welcome your curiosity David! The best place to start is to watch THE Interview, in which biologist Jeremy Griffith presents his breakthrough ‘instinct v intellect’ explanation of the human condition. Part 1 of this interview presents the explanation as quickly and simply as possible and FAQ 1.3 presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept. Happy exploring David!

Hemant Trivedi

This knowledge is already was passed on to us in Bhagwad Gita .

Fix The World Admin

Thank you for your comment Hemant. Religions have been a repository of truth during humanity’s long corrupting search to find knowledge but importantly, as biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview explains, while religious accounts may describe our condition ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for it. Specifically why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘ Is this original or new’ which explains it was only through finding the rational, accountable, scientific understanding of our condition that we could finally bring peace to it. In fact, what people discover is that this represents a fulfilment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves: see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.     Also Jeremy’s Video/Freedom Essay 53 expands on thinkers (both ancient and contemporary) who, while they could not explain it, did recognise the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition. It includes the following passage about human’s original ‘golden age’ of instinctive innocence from the Mahabharata (of which the Bhagavad Gita is a part): ‘The Hindus of the Brahmanic period preserved the following in the Mahābharata: “The Krita Yuga was so named because there was but one religion, and all men were saintly; therefore they were not required to perform religious ceremonies. Holiness never grew less, and the people did not decrease. There were no gods in the Krita Yuga, and there were no demons… Men neither bought nor sold; there were no poor and no rich; there was no need to labor, because all that men required was obtained by the power of will; the chief virtue was the abandonment of desires… In those times, men lived as long as they chose to live, and were without any fear of Yima (the god of Death)… Being all like gods, they ascended to the sky and returned at will… Self-subdued and free from envy, they beheld the gods and the mighty prophets, and had a clear perception of all duties.” …And in the Vaya Purāna it is written: “They were characterized neither by righteousness nor unrighteousness…they moved about at will and lived in continual delight.”’

Awesome thanks 👍

This is too elementary explanation

Fix The World Admin

Thank you for your consideration Larry. Biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition unravels and makes sense of the whole seemingly impenetrable and insoluble confusion of human life — and does so in such a simple way — it can appear “too elementary”. It brings to mind Thomas Huxley’s famous response to Darwin’s idea of natural selection: ‘How extremely stupid of me not to have thought of that!’ However, In THE Interview Jeremy answers the question of, ‘if the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation is so obvious, why weren’t we taught this at school?’; and similarly our FAQ 1.14 explains that the answer to the question of, ‘if these ideas are so important why haven’t people heard of them?’, is that the human condition has historically been an off-limits subject, and as a result people can initially find it difficult to take in or ‘hear’ discussion of it. Thankfully however, this ‘deaf effect’ can be overcome with patient perseverance and everyone can access this most wonderful of all gifts of understanding the human condition!

This is great to hear

Love to watch it again and again

Debra Caye

I hope I understand this Interview

Fix The World Admin

Hi Debra, it may help you to know Part 1 of THE Interview presents the explanation as quickly and simply as possible. From there in opening up the underlying issue in all human affairs of the human condition means there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered, which make up Parts 2, 3 & 4. Also you may like to read our FAQ 1.3 which presents a very brief summary of the key ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.

Have Not Finished Watching Yet, But Wow!

Wow! This interview is the first of it’s kind that has blown and captivated my mind so much. How thankful I’m to Jeremy for sharing his knowledge, experience and insight into understanding the human behavior.

Very interesting and a great educational segment

Meri Logan

The reason I know I want to hear this is because I have been living with a narcissist for 28 years. I thought through it all I change or he would change but nothing ever happened. I am just as unloved and empty as beginning . I feel sometimes there were always something protecting him and not me. Same human condition as you’re speaking of I’ve lived in these thoughts, but no one to talk to. Everyone just thought he was selfish.

Fix The World Admin

Thank you for your comment Meri. The human condition has been such a deeply tragic journey full of so much pain and suffering so hopefully this explanation of it’s source will bring you some comfort. What biologist Jeremy Griffith introduces in THE Interview is a new paradigm of knowledge about human behaviour so we recommend everyone take their time with their digestion of it. And with time, what we suggest people discover is how this biological explanation unravels the great paradox of human life, of how are humans capable of being loving and selfless but also so uncaring and selfish. In THE Interview Jeremy explains all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces extremely destructive behaviour, including extreme states of egocentricity and narcissism. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction such behaviour, rather through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it. This is explained in our FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’

Matt

Awesome thank you 🙏

Yeah but how can we do it

Fix The World Admin

What is unique about Jeremy’s work is it at last answers the essential question of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition—why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish, so much so that we are destroying ourselves and our world? To summarise how this rehabilitates the human race: now that we have the real defence and reinforcement of our fundamental goodness, all these artificial defences and reinforcements of gaining power, fame, fortune and glory are obsoleted, they are no longer needed. Having this core mystery and problem about human behaviour solved ends all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source, and provides the now urgently needed road map for the complete rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world which is explained in Part 4 of THE Interview. Also see FAQ 1.4 ‘How does understanding the human condition transform the world?’ and FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’
