What is the condition I am interested to know I’m fascinated by science thank you peace

WTM Admin

Hi Carrie, as is explained in our FAQ 1.1, ‘What is the human condition?’, “while it’s undeniable that humans are capable of great love, we also have an unspeakable history of brutality, rape, torture, murder and war. Despite all our marvellous accomplishments, we humans have been the most ferocious and destructive force that has ever lived on Earth—and the eternal question has been ‘why?’ Even in our everyday behaviour, why have we humans been so competitive, selfish and aggressive when clearly the ideals of life are to be the complete opposite, namely cooperative, selfless and loving? In fact, why are we so ruthlessly competitive, selfish and brutal that human life has become all but unbearable and we have nearly destroyed our own planet?! The agony of being unable to truthfully answer this fundamental question of why we are the way we are—divisively instead of cooperatively behaved—has been the particular burden of human life. It has been our species’ particular affliction or condition—our ‘human condition’.”     Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we humans are stricken with this disparity in our behaviour. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.

Savage, brutal animal instincts. Sorry to burst your bubble but native people in North America used to have a conscious and connected relationship with the animals and yes the fauna of their surroundings. Some still do and keep it quite close to their vest. We as indigenous people don’t consider ourselves as top tier at all. The animal kingdom is superior in many ways that you and I don’t know. What are they seeing hearing that is beyond our limited range of senses. You are superior only in your word speak. Listen to the wind, listen to the birds, trees. If you can’t hear them you have lost your way!

WTM Admin

The central tenet of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is that humans have a cooperative, loving instinctive heritage, not a brutish, savage and aggressive one, and that the source of our aggression is a psychosis that has been compounding ever since the instinct and intellect clashed some 2 million years ago. It follows then that the further back in history we go, the less psychologically upset a race of people will be, and so the more cooperative, loving and in touch with the natural world they will be – and we can see evidence of this in existing ‘primitive’ races of people, such as in many indigenous cultures. However, it needs to be born in mind that peoples such as the native people of North America are only relatively innocent compared with other races; they are still members of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, so they are still psychologically upset angry egocentric and alienated.

Jeremy Griffith

Second to none. (Yes it’s not a typo, my name is actually Jeremy Griffith.)

Rob Leaver

Speaks to the conflict between the individual and the oligarchy, and the patriarchy behind the oligarchy. We individuals are endowed with faith in ourselves and, based on that faith, we are impelled to self-create. But the patriarchy doesn’t want the individual to self-create. It prefers the more manageable status quo. Unfortunately, while self-creation leads to evolution and emergence, the status quo leads to devolution and entropy - which leads to chaos and extinction.

WTM Admin

Rob, the more you digest Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition, the more you realise that it is behind all our behaviour, and behind all our institutions such as governments and big business, and need for power over others, in fact, it is behind everything we do. The point is that oligarchies and patriachies are just another manifestation of the human condition that we all suffer from. To solve those problems we need to solve the human condition within each and every one of us, which is what the instinct vs intellect explanation does. You might be interested in our FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

Judith Drake

It’s the real ‘Bible’ the fake one kept us from seeing the truth

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts Judith. The truth about religion is more complicated than that. We can now understand that it has acted as the custodian of the ideal state and as a means of solace for those exhausted by the corrupting journey. So religion has had a very important role to play during humanity’s journey to find the understanding of why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we humans so angry, competitive and selfish; our FAQs about the demystification of religion may be of interest. However, while the Bible and the other great religious texts contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately, as you are suggesting, we needed to find the scientific explanation for why humans are so at odds with the ideals - in religious terms, why did humanity ‘fall’? Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents in THE Interview and his book FREEDOM.

Katy Stewart

Women have testosterone too.

WTM Admin

Hi Katy, yes women also produce testosterone however what biologist Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview is the reason men and women are currently selfish and aggressive is not selfish instincts or testosterone, but a state of psychological upset resulting from the instinct vs intellect clash. And by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) are now redundant, they can stop! Also, most significantly, with this new biology we can at last understand and reconcile the huge gulf that has existed between men and women. We can understand why men especially, but also women, suffer from the human condition and all its related behaviours including selfishness and egocentricity, but that all humans are equally good, worthwhile, meaningful and wonderful regardless of gender, age, religion, etc. You might find biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women most revealing and also our FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile the sexes’ may be of interest.

Daina

Exactly We been programmed how to live from school, family, society We slowly awakening , and consciousness , intuition it’s what we have to use Its our power.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your comment Daina. What biologist Jeremy Griffith introduces is an entirely new way of understanding ourselves and the world so it can take a little time to fully absorb. As he explains in THE Interview our ‘upset’ selfish and destructive behaviour is not learned or a result of any mental programming or conditioning but rather a result of a universal psychosis caused by the clash between our cooperative instincts and our intellect. So the source of our condition is psychological and significantly, a psychosis is changeable as it can be healed through understanding! Certainly being born into a world that is already drenched with anger, egocentricity and alienation has a terrible effect on young people growing up, resulting in even higher levels of psychological upset – so it is a compounding situation. To quote Jeremy from Part 2 (referring to ‘The race between self-destruction and self-understanding’ graph in THE Interview): “While we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it, the truth is that on a graph showing the ever-increasing levels of upset in humans, those levels, especially of psychosis and alienation, have been increasing so rapidly lately that the line tracking their rise is near vertical with the amount of upset virtually doubling now in each new generation! Freedom Essays 55 & 59 on our World Transformation Movement’s website describes this terrifying end play threat of terminal levels of psychosis.”     Also it is immensely relieving to be able to understand our moral soul or intuition but it isn’t what we’ve needed to use to solve the human condition as only through finding the good reason why our intellect had to defy our moral but dogmatic instincts could we find lasting freedom and peace. Ultimately, only this scientific explanation of our ‘dark side’ and, with that our ability to love it, could bring love and compassion back to the world, because only now are all our defensive behaviours (our anger, egocentricity and alienation) made redundant. We no longer need them because we have the real defense for why we had to defy our instincts and become upset, which means we are finally in a truly powerful position to transform the world. In Part 4 of THE Interview, Jeremy explains how the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible, actually occurs. We hope this helps your consideration Daina.

Just listening today

Kinday

While we can’t deny the fallen nature of human nature, it is no without hope that it can be redeemed. In my understanding the fallen nature can be fully redeemed through salvation of Christ. Having said that, I can undestand how human conditions could be improved/alleviated by means of biological understanding. Interesting conversation and thank you.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your consideration Kinday. The study of the human condition is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, and now we can biologically explain the human condition, religion is demystified and not only are the universal ideals, that religion has upheld for humanity, confirmed, but we also now have the fully rational, compassionate and redeeming explanation for our “fallen nature” (see FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is biology, why the religious references?’). For instance, as Jeremy Griffith explains in Part 2 of THE Interview, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans ‘fall’ or them becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’. However as Jeremy stresses, we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’. And with that redeeming answer to the human condition now found, our psychological upset (so called ‘sinful’ or ‘fallen’ state) can actually subside.     We certainly respect people’s religious views Kinday and it is important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. (Our FAQs about religion include FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’ and FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’.) The difference being that we can now with the benefit of science, bring clarifying, first-principle biological explanation to our so-called ‘good and evil’-afflicted human condition and the good reason why we had to depart from our original innocence, whilst religion had to rely on metaphor and a more literal interpretation.

Thank you for saying aut laut what i am fealing abaut life more and more the older i get. This make me so happy and hopefull for generations to come. Thank you❤️👩‍❤️‍👨🙏😀🦋

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Birte and it is wonderful you are accessing this “very simple and loving analysis”. The human condition has been such a deeply tragic journey which has caused so much mental pain and anguish. What is so significant about Jeremy’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition — which you seem to be deeply relating to — is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because that core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can understand humans’ psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. We can at last understand the source of our upset and trauma and bring great compassion and kindness to ourselves and others. This healing is a process, and in terms of mental health issues medication and treatments will obviously still play an important role in us managing our upset, but what is so transforming is we don’t have to be burdened by our crippling insecurity about our fundamental worth or goodness and, most significantly, we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us which is an important part of the transformation — as our FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ explains. That macro truth looks after all humans now. As the distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen (who wrote the Introduction to Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM) said: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin” (see FAQ 1.34 ‘How does understanding the human race’s condition help with an individual’s depression and psychosis?’). Also Birte a lot Jeremy’s publications, including THE Interview and FREEDOM, have been translated into many different languages which you can freely access here on our website.

Thom Ward

Insightful to the point of psychological rehabilitation that we humans must understand to see our aggressive, selfish and ego-driven behavior was/is not driven thru our animal instincts but thru our conscious mind, nervous-system based attempts at understanding ourselves, other humans and the greater world. Wow. This is where biology and psychology fuse to give us a understanding to discern, a new understanding but it’s been there all along.

KiAirah Distad

I super agree that we were not born in sin and are not inherently evil and that the struggle to understand our consciousness and find peace and virtue within that is a noble thing for humanity to be engaged in.

Emmanuel

The human condition is all coded in the Bible. But it needs decoding.

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest Emmanuel. Yes, the Bible is an extraordinary repository of truth about the human condition, however it is coming from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why we are fundamentally good—answer the age-old question of why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here. And because the human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for so-called ‘good and evil’ it is the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition, religion is demystified and explained - it is “decoded”. Of course this presents a massive paradigm shift in our thinking but what people discover is Jeremy Griffith’s work actually reconciles science and religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. In fact it presents the fulfillment of a time that all religions looked forward to when we could actually explain ourselves, see FAQ 6.3 ‘Does this undermine religion/God’ and FAQ 6.2 ‘What is God’. It represents the end of faith and dogma and the beginning of knowing.

Carol

This IS THE MOST Moving information I’ve ever heard! It’s exciting to know the SOLUTION IS HERE. Science will intentionally subvert this astounding understanding under the Power for money as it has an Agenda for world domination ! I pray for This essential breakthrough for Unity & PEACE. ✨

WTM Admin

Absolutely Carol! As Jeremy says in THE Interview: “Science had to remain open to the possibility that the human-condition-confronting truthful explanation of the human condition would one day be found. It has been said that denials fight back with a vengeance when faced with annihilation, and that has certainly been the case with the mechanistic paradigm, but science holds the ultimate responsibility to consider, not ignore, or worse, falsely dismiss and even persecute, well-reasoned and evidenced scientific analysis of the human condition, so to fail in that mandate has been obscenely irresponsible. The time for this truthful, holistic thinking has arrived. As Jeremy says in THE Interview, ‘the scientific community definitely, definitely needs to get its act together and support this breakthrough!’”

Tina

What the world needs is relief from pyschological torment and trauma.

WTM Admin

Yes, all the dysfunction and destruction in the world are manifestations of the psychologically upset state of the human condition. And so what is so powerful about the explanation of the human condition is that by solving our insecure state at its source, it brings an end to all the terrible, and seemingly overwhelmingly “complex” problems that beset the problem – indeed it is the only way to bring an end to all those symptoms of our psychologically upset condition. So in a world fast going crazy from the effects of the human condition, this is the now desperately needed reconciling understanding that brings about a new world for humans FREE of the agony of the human condition. This is the understanding that ends human suffering at its source, and unites the human race.

You may find our FAQ 1.40 helpful titled ‘Aren’t the problems of the world too overwhelming to ever be fixed? / Isn’t it too late to save the world? / How can you hope to transform the world? – In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful?’. It is explained there that even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level.

Ron Lavoie

What about the under pinning of reality. Like intuition logic and reasoning and a knowledge a priori?

Marcus

Outstanding insight

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Ron. Yes, the human mind has fundamental ‘rules’ or ‘logic’ built into it. So-called ‘a priori’ knowledge, or knowledge prior to experience, is knowledge that is not dependent on sensory experience and can be known through reason alone. Examples of a priori knowledge include mathematical truths and fundamental principles of logic such as something cannot be both true and false at the same time.     It makes sense that we have this ‘a priori’ knowledge when you consider that consciousness means, as Jeremy Griffith introduces in THE Interview, simply being sufficiently aware of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding. If the universe proceeds from an ordered basis, and as Jeremy explains in FAQ 5.3, ‘the theme or purpose or meaning of existence is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy. These quotes from Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein (respectively) indicate how prevalent this underlying order is: ‘The overwhelming impression is of order…[in] the universe’, and that ‘behind everything is an order’”, then it follows that our intellect, that is conscious of that order, has those ‘a priori’ ‘precepts’ or fundamental rules, built into it.     You can read more about consciousness in FAQ 5.4 and chapter 7 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM.

A breath of fresh air, badly needed in our world. The whole world is moaning as well as most of us on this planet.

I seen information concerning Bonobos attacking and killing other Bonobo groups. They are also canibalistic.

WTM Admin

As is explained in detail in our FAQ 5.2, without understanding of the human condition humans have found the cooperative and gentle nature of bonobos highly confronting of our own upset state and so have tried to say that bonobos have an aggressive nature. However the truth is that even though there are some remnants of sexual opportunism in bonobos, there has never been a record of a bonobo killing another bonobo in the wild, much less eating it. The following is from FAQ 5.2: “mechanistic science has tried to portray bonobos, particularly male bonobos, as being as aggressive as chimpanzees. A 2024 study, led by Boston University’s Dr Maud Mouginot, purported to count instances of ‘aggression’ between bonobo males, and found that male bonobos apparently engage in aggressive acts three times as often as chimpanzees, and that ‘more aggressive [bonobo] males obtained higher mating success [than less aggressive males]’ (Mouginot et al, ‘Differences in expression of male aggression between wild bonobos and chimpanzees’, Current Biology, 2024, Vol.34, No.8). However, the types of aggression counted were often mild, including instances of ‘pulling and kicking’, and the report also noted the following very significant difference between bonobos and chimpanzees: ‘male chimpanzees sexually coerce females and sometimes kill conspecifics [other chimpanzees], whereas male bonobos exhibit less sexual coercion and no reported killing [of other bonobos]’ (ibid). Clearly there is a world of difference between bonobo and chimpanzee ‘aggression’: male chimpanzees use violence to coerce females into sex, regularly kill competing males, practice infanticide and form troops that raid and kill members of neighbouring chimpanzee groups; whereas in bonobo society, females rule and choose their mates, males bicker but have never killed another bonobo, and whole groups mingle peacefully with neighbouring groups. This important clarification about the Mouginot report was made in a published letter in New Scientist magazine by the Director of The Bonobo Conservation Initiative Australia, Angus Gemmell (‘Bonobo aggression minor compared with chimps’, 24 Apr. 2024), and also by Gisela Kaplan, Emeritus Professor in Animal Behaviour at the University of New England in Australia, when she said that ‘she found the paper extremely frustrating and that the word “aggression” is being misused. Chimpanzee groups are ruled by one dominant male, whereas bonobos are ruled by females. Competitions for dominance and mating rights in bonobos shouldn’t be confused with aggression’ (James Woodford, ‘“Peaceful” male bonobos may actually be more aggressive than chimps’, New Scientist, 12 Apr. 2024).”

WTM Admin

Hi Sammy, Jeremy Griffith’s books and essays are being translated into many languages around the world, thanks to the wonderful efforts of the WTM’s ever-expanding global network of support. Unfortunately we don’t yet have any Arabic translations (our Translations page shows all the languages that are currently available). In the meantime, people can watch THE Interview (and all the videos on our website) using the closed captions or subtitles function in their native language. The subtitles icon ‘cc’ is at the bottom of the video player, and you can choose languages using the ‘cog’ setting next to it: Select the ‘cog’, then select ‘Subtitles/CC’, then select ‘Auto translate’ where a list of languages come up from which you choose the language you would like the subtitles to appear in. Press ‘play’ on the video and your chosen subtitles should then appear.

Mr W.Miller

I was receptive to some of this message, whilst some of it was somewhat too complicated. Otherwise a really powerful appeal to the rational and sense making.

WTM Admin

Mr Miller, the fundamental explanation is actually very simple but it does open up the historically off-limits subject of the human condition so it is common people initially struggle to ‘hear’ what is being explained, see FAQ 1.16. We recommend re-watching THE Interview and suggest that you will be amazed at just how much more you will ‘hear’, and how much more is making sense.

Great interview. Is Trump Derangement Syndrome a psychosis? There is not one rational thought in it.

WTM Admin

In his book FREEDOM, Jeremy explains the twin political problems we have are the brutality of the right-wing’s need to continue the corrupting search for knowledge free from too much condemning idealism, and the left-wing’s dishonest and deluded dogmatic imposition of pseudo-idealistic politically correct values. However, as THE Interview explains, freedom of thought and individualism, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism which right-wing constitutions uphold, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge, ultimately for self-knowledge. And so paradoxically it was the right-wing that actually held the moral high ground and the left-wing that posed the real threat to humanity due to the fact that its dogmatically imposed pseudo-idealism gravely endangers freedom of thought and the search for understanding. Now the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition has at last been solved we can understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wings of politics and bring the whole necessary but ugly business of politics to an end (see our FAQs about politics).

There is a label name describing this lack of Spirit in such greater majority of ‘people’. It is a frequently overlooked virus affecting the larger % majority of Human “civilization”: Narcissistic Infectious plague’s due to the denial of this condition via total Godlessness. 90% infection statsus

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts James. Humanity is certainly experiencing an epidemic of narcissim, and it is true that ‘faith’ or religion has been the main way that people have been able to realign themselves when they became too corrupted (or narcissistic) as a result of their exposure to the human condition. However, with the fully accountable, rational, scientific explanation of the human condition presented in THE Interview now makes possible the real therapy and rehabilitation of the human race. Jermey Griffith explains all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces narcissistic behaviour. Importantly, this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction this type of behaviour rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it. To read about the psychology behind the creation of psychopathic, ‘power-addicted’ and narcissistic behaviour, see chapter 8:16D of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM. We also recommend our FAQs on religion, where you can read about the important role that religion has played as a home for the ideals as humanity necessarily become more and more corrupted by the search for knoweldge.

Ad claims are represented as a true understanding of the accepted wisdom now published for five decades of achieving existential status of the fifth level defined by the editor Maslow.

WTM Admin

For those not familiar with Abraham Maslow, he was an American Psychologist who proposed that humans have five sets of basic needs: physiological, safety, love, esteem and self-actualisation. Jeremy Griffith’s Instinct vs Intellect explanation of the human condition does allow humans to achieve the fifth level of ‘self actualisation’, which Maslow defined as the step whereby a person “become[s] everything that one is capable of becoming.” Without the all-important clarifying, redeeming, reconciling and psychologically rehabilitating explanation of the human condition that Jeremy has provided, humans have been condemned to a life of insecurely having to prove our fundamental goodness or worth. However, now that our goodness has been biologically established we can legitimately relieve ourselves of our psychologically upset state or condition and ‘become everything that we are capable of becoming’. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is explained in Part 4 of THE Interview, and fully explained on our Transformation page.

Thank you thank you for your explanation. My view on this point is that every human, every country, every president, all the parliamentarians of those ruling the nations, should be able to get a hold of this book so that we wouldn’t be fighting for positions and claiming things for ourselves, because the world is a beautiful place for all to leave peacefully. Thank you so much.

The mind is a cesspool. Thats the scurge! Be as children. Go into the garden and play!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your consideration Michael. To advocate we stop thinking and just be cooperative, loving and playful, like innocent children, is an abandonment of the fundamental responsibility of having a conscious, thinking mind. Throwing our mind away is no solution. As Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview, the whole point and responsibility of being a conscious being is to understand our world and place in it, ultimately to find understanding of the human condition. What is so significant about the explanation of the human condition is that rather than condemning the mind as a “scurge!”, this understanding explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, our apparently ‘bad’ behaviour has been ‘good’! We had to suffer self-corruption in order to continue the search for knowledge in order to one day find this redeeming understanding of ourselves. Finally, with this understanding, we no longer have to continue with our ‘bad’ behaviour in the future, because it was all born out of insecurity over our self-worth. Knowing why our intellect had to defy our instincts makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to legitimately return to a loving, selfless state and allowing future children to never have to leave it! To quote Jeremy from his definitive book FREEDOM, chapter 3:7 Our instinctive moral conscience has been ‘A sharp accuser, but a helpless friend!: “Yes, for 2 million years our intellect has been seen as the villain of the piece while our instinctive self or soul’s moral conscience was held up as the epitome of goodness, but the truth, which we can now finally explain, turns out to be the exact opposite in the sense that it was our instincts’ unjust criticism that caused us to become upset. This paradoxical turn of events in which our ‘good side’ is revealed to have been the ‘bad side’ is the theme of the crime writer Agatha Christie’s famous play The Mousetrap. The play is just another ‘whodunit’ murder mystery and yet it is now the longest running play in history, having been performed continuously since opening in 1952; indeed, the play’s enduring popularity is such that it celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2012 with a global tour. All enduring myths and stories contain truths that resonate, and in the case of The Mousetrap, the police inspector involved in the murder investigation, who is held up throughout the play as the pillar of goodness and justice, is revealed at the very end to be the culprit. It is the essential story of humanity where the apparent ideals of our original instinctive self or soul’s selfless, loving world are revealed, at the very last moment, to have been the unjustly condemning influence. As with so many aspects of the human condition, THE TRUTH WAS NOT AS IT APPEARED. We discover at the very end of our journey to enlightenment that conscious humans, immensely corrupt as we are, are ‘good’ and not ‘bad’ after all, and that which was ‘good’, our moral conscience, turns out to be the cause of our ‘sin’.” You might find the following FAQs helpful. FAQ 1.42 about why does having loving instincts actually make the instinct vs intellect clash worse and FAQ 6.5 which explains how our transformation depended on confronting and biologically explaining why we became so destructive and stresses the huge difference between Jeremy’s work and pseudo-idealistic or new age movements.

Hi Guy, in THE Interview biologist Jeremy Griffith explains that all the dysfunction, destruction and unthinkable suffering in the world are manifestations of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ conflict within each of us that has produced the psychologically upset state of the human condition. The more one digests this information, the more they realise that the human condition is behind all our problems, actions and motivations, including people’s need for power and wealth to which you refer. What people begin to see is that these elements are not the source problem, they are just some of the symptoms of our insecure, human condition-afflicted state. It follows that if we address that underlying insecurity, then all these symptoms will be resolved at the root psychological level. And that is what this information does — it addresses and solves that core insecurity about our self-worth. In fact, this redeeming, uplifting and healing explanation of the human condition is so liberating and so exciting that it won’t be long before everyone realises that it is completely pointless to keep trying to compensate for their insecurity through the pursuit of power, fortune and glory. You might find our FAQ 1.40 revealing as it addresses the questions ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. BRAVO! It all boils down to LOVE! It feels completely natural to embrace this. I hope humanity soon finds the state of love we were once in, so long ago.

WTM Admin

Yes, this understanding defends our so-called ‘dark side’ and explains that despite all appearances to the contrary, all humans are ‘good’. It is a revelation to learn that our destructive behaviour has actually been ‘loving’ in the sense that it was the right thing to do in order for humanity to complete its great journey to find understanding of why we departed from that instinctively loving state originally. And paradoxically, by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, allowing us to end the perpetuation of our destructive behaviour and return to that loving state!

Constance Kunaka

A very eye opening presentation. Thank you

This is a revelation for humankind. No more do we have to say it it’s just our genetics and we can do nothing.
