New interpretation of human race/life but how it’s different from the anthropological perspective?. nevertheless looks quite interesting one and capable of attracting lot many academic discussions

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest D B. As THE Interview explains unable to confront the human condition, science has been mechanistic and reductionist, and what’s more, has denied the existence of our psychologically troubled human condition, blaming our selfish behaviour on ‘savage instincts’ within us – see FAQ 1.2 ‘How does science currently explain the human condition?’ And that is where the human race has been stalled, waiting in an increasingly distressed state for the real explanation for our psychologically troubled human condition that will finally make sense of the riddle of human life. That is, until now—because that human-mind-liberating, psychosis-relieving REAL explanation has at last been delivered with Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation, see FAQ 1.3 ‘What is Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition’! And yes this new interpretation is attracting interest from thought leaders around the world and you can see their commendations on our homepage here!

Karl-Tyko Albäck

This has verily been the most revolutionary hour of my life. I now understand why I do the things I do, why I feel the way I feel and why everyone behaves the way they do. All of us are simply fighting an internal battle between instinct and intellect. If we all can acknowledge and embrace the fact that we are all fighting the same fight, we can understand one another and help one another and that as aforementioned is the healing and reparation of the human race. All of us want similar things in life: love, comfort, happiness, freedom and, in my opinion, the most important - understanding. To me it is truly exceptional that having an understanding of the human condition virtually gives us all of this: a new found love for ourselves, comfort through understanding, happiness as we embrace and understand our inner struggles, freedom in that we don’t have to fight our instincts, and most importantly an understanding of ourselves and every other person we have ever met and will ever meet. There is not a shadow of a doubt that this information will change the world as we know it, for the better.

Marinda

And the universe gives a sigh of relief… We, the soul, have forgotten our primarily existence. This is revolutionary and so very well explained. Thank you.

John Laccohee-Joslin

Having listened to this video i jave to say that there is an area completely untouched, the subject of free will, plus the encoragement to gain more understanding, this mean not only breaking the rules but using something that were created with not of our doing. I liken this to a new born child, it does not cry purely for the hell of it, it does so either fry discomfort, hunger or fear that it is not seeing anything of comfort. The story used, i.e. Mr Stork as an example only shows an interest to,learn, its not an outright breaking of any rule, orvas far as i can see there was no more than in interest in something new, and a degree of wanting to learn more. The same goes for Adam and eve, with an instruction that said just one tree was out of bounds clearly to a thinking individual, would have a burning question why, plus an interest to be aware of what the differnce was. Putting a child under the christmas tree with all the parcels andvsaying your not allowed touch that one, is putting it mildly, is a red rag to a bull, even if only to pick it up and shake it or feel its weight. I feel like our condition was instilled in us along with other animals called the self presevation and the wish to learn more, not an outright wish to disobay just i agrivate someone else. A lot more to the point comes the lessons in life, very much dependant on upbringing, i.e. what we are taught from day one, this is very much dependant on the conditions under which we are bought up, and how well we are educated in the fundimentals of life, for those hight up the tree just about everything is provided, wherecas in another situation it will be a question of taking chances just to get a bite to eat, face one off the other we are going to see a degree of comflict from the other Purely to stay alive, nothing more and nothing less, the worse the initail background, the greater the diference. The fact that we are like it or not, just another life form living very much hand to mouth dicta

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment John. It does take a little time to fully absorb what THE Interview presents as explaining ‘free will’ is central to the presentation. Using the Adam Stork story, it explains that in order to master or champion our free will the conscious mind did have to “break the rules” and defy or ignore our instincts, and it was this defiance of our instincts that resulted in humans becoming angry, egocentric and alienated — the psychological upset state of our human condition. So the key biological distinction is that humans suffer from the conscious-mind-based, psychologically troubled human condition, not the genetic-opportunism-based, “self preservation” you speak of, animal condition. For a summary of what THE Interview presents see FAQ 1.3. Also FAQ 1.36 explains having finally solved the human condition does not mean the search for knowledge or learning ends.

Tania

Finally some answers! So much makes sense now! My world view has changed. This is the most amazing paradigm shift I’ve ever experienced! Thank you!.❤️

Robin

Sounds like a back-handed male explanation for why women should stay home and be nurturing. I wonder if they ever checked the testosterone levels in the Bonobo community.

WTM Admin

Absolutely not Robin. Astonishingly with Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition we can at last understand and reconcile the huge gulf that has existed between men and women. We can also understand why men especially, but also women, suffer from the human condition and all it’s related behaviours including selfishness and egocentricity, but that all humans are equally good, worthwhile, meaningful and wonderful regardless of gender, age, religion, etc. See biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women and also FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile the sexes’. If you would like to read about what bonobos tell us about our own evolutionary heritage, see FAQ 5.2.

Ron Fondaw

This wonderful to hear these enlighten ideas now twice in one week from two different and brilliant minds. Gregg Braden has said the same things, speaking from his foundation as a scientist and student of quantum science and its fascinating discoveries. I trust that this information is coming to us at this time because humanity is now ready to choose to respond differently than in our past.

WTM Admin

Thank you very much for your comment Ron and it is wonderful THE Interview resonated with you so much.     You may be interested that Jeremy Griffith is currently writing two new essays which will cover the work of Gregg Braden and others and the huge difference between them and his instinct vs intellect treatise. As THE Interview explains it is our destructively behaved, so-called human condition that really has to be dealt with if we are to solve the world’s problems and heal the human race. Quantum science recognises the universal integrative meaning in existence but this has not solved our ongoing troubled human condition. To bring about the lasting transformation we seek we needed to answer the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? It is this age-old question of questions that biologist Jeremy Griffith has solved with his instinct vs intellect explanation. This required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents. You may find FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new? / How does this instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition differ from other theories that recognise these elements?’ of interest.     These forthcoming essays are Freedom Essays 63: ‘Pseudo Therapy/Healing’ and Freedom Essay 64: ‘Real Therapy/Healing’ (click on these essay links for information about each essay). F. Essay 63 explains there are many approaches that seek to heal and therapise human psychoses but they are all coming from an extremely dishonest and superficial, human-condition-avoiding, pseudo therapising angle, and F. Essay 64 presents the human-condition-confronting, honest, true, genuinely effective therapy/healing that understanding of the human condition now makes possible.

Joe Gagen

Interviewer talks too much. Too much hype.

WTM Admin

Thanks for listening Joe. We wanted to include our FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ as it explains, the astonishing claims being made about Jeremy Griffith’s work do warrant initial scepticism however they all withstand scrutiny as what he presents is 100% logic. People find once they begin exploring the explanation the more they do the more they realise the claims are actually true, and in time become appreciated for their forthright honesty in indicating where the solution to our problems lies — as the commendations Jeremy’s work has received from eminent scientists and thinkers attest.

Douglas kuchenbecker

Thanks enjoyed that. It re enforces my thoughts exactly.

Mikko Väisänen

Thank You from Finland

KJ.

Refreshing HOPE for us eh?! I must release my doubts and recapture the possibilities for which my youth had yearned.

WTM Admin

Yes at last we can release our doubts about the human condition ever being solved KJ because it has—at last we have the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing understanding of ourselves the human journey has been dedicated to finding! Given you mention the possibilities you once felt in your youth you may be interested in Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of Resignation. Briefly, the human condition—which is the question of are we a fundamentally good or bad species—is something almost all people have sensibly had to live in denial of until humanity could find the answer to it. Jeremy explains this necessary strategy of denial as Resignation and describes it as the most significant psychological event in human life, see his Freedom Essay 30.

Linda Owen

I’ve always believed in the beginning we were given the freedom of choice & Griffiths has explained very well- thank you

David Webster

How can you talk about evolution and then discuss Adam and Eve which were created.

WTM Admin

We welcome your question David. The human condition is the study of humans’ capacity for acts of both so-called ‘good and evil’. It’s the realm of inquiry where science and religion overlap, so in explaining the human condition religion is demystified and explained by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. For instance Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. Jeremy’s work represents a reconciliation of science and religion, see FAQ 1.15 ‘If this is a biological explanation why are there religious references?’

Geraldine Harris

I agree with his explanation of the human condition totally! The bible is written in metaphors, and is not meant to be taken literally. We believe that we are separate from the creator, and we are not! We are “one”! Love is all there is. ❤️

Larry Harper

Wow , that was an amazing , inspiring story of freedom for me!!!! I am excited about visiting the cite for more information linked and confirmed about the human condition, and how we arrived where and who we are today!!!!! Outstanding!!!!!

Cheryl D.Robinson

This all sounds well and good, BUT...until “we the people” can overcome our world’s governments...We as a species will continue to spiral to extinction😢.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment Cheryl. We suggest now we can understand the human condition, we can see that everyone has suffered from it, and all our institutions, including our governments, have been a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition can stop the destruction of our world that is happening everywhere we look. You may find these FAQs helpful, FAQ 1.6 ‘Why does understanding solve everything’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power?’

Charles Fuller

Awesome, inspiring, something subconscious nature a psychological drama explained.

Julie Wilson

Load of rubbish

Orion

Yes yes yes!

William Cunninham

This is an interesting explanation that can help us become free from the mental slavery from our past. I have read about the Bonobos, and seen it on video.

Malcolm Grant

You say that we are all born good, I have to disagree! History has had its fair share of people who in my opinion are pure evil, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Strarlin, Pol Pot and many other, not forgetting Vladimir Putin. The dictators wher/are pure evil they had no compunction in killing millions of people just to stay in powe. I like to hear your opinion on how you think science could possibly control such people in the future?

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Malcolm and we hope the following links help with your consideration of this treatise. THE Interview explains all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the human condition and, in the extreme, that psychologically conflicted upset state produces psychopathic behaviour. Importantly, this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous attrocities humans can commit (what historically has been termed ‘evil’) rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it. We suggest FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’ and FAQ 1.40 ‘How can you hope to transform the world? / Won’t the greedy and power hungry simply ignore this?’ To read about the psychology behind the creation of psychopathic, ‘power-addicted’ and narcissistic behaviour, see chapter 8:16D of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM. Also, Jeremy further elaborates on this need for power, control and domination in Freedom Essay 62 where he gives a full presentation of the entire human journey and how understanding of the human condition now makes possible the real therapy and rehabilitation of the human race.

Christianism said so a long time ago, but the chimpanzees liked to eat meat and hunted by necessity not by hatred a longer time ago. there is nothing new under the sun.

WTM Admin

While Christianity and other religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?’ which explains the unique significance of Jeremy’s work.     If your mention of chimpanzees is referring to the bonobo chimpanzee Jeremy discusses in THE Interview, yes studies show that they do occasionally capture and eat small game to supplement their diet with protein. However they do not routinely hunt down and eat large animals such as colobus monkeys, like common chimpanzees do (see Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM, chapter 2:11 ‘Multilevel Selection theory for eusociality’). As is explained the cooperative and gentle of the bonobo chimpanzee represent a far better model of our human ancestors than the common chimpanzee.

Marc France

I have long thought that one of the ideal ages in life is seven years just before reaching the age of reason, which for me is the age at which corruption begins. The love of life is the very strong one, the free instinct can express itself, great emotions quickly restored seize us, it is an age of happiness. To return to our golden age of primitive man is also to return to our childhood. I feel here the superb gateway to accomplish this journey.

Marc France

Drowned in a family conflict where 15 people including me show their darkest side and tear each other apart, I feel that I am coming out of my depression and my long solitude, and that connecting this tormented group to this new way of seeing our condition will perhaps be to be one of the best things I’ve done in my life. I’m neither a saint nor a savior but I’m no longer afraid to get going. The world is once again becoming a garden of abundance for me.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your open and heartfelt comments Marc. It is wonderful to learn how much this understanding is helping you heal. Being able to at last understand the source of our inner, and outer conflict, is so immensely relieving and reconciling we can all begin to come in from the cold as it were. As Jeremy Griffith writes in his introduction to our Transformation page of our website: “We now have the completely redeeming, uplifting and healing biological understanding of the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition—thus ending all the conflict and suffering in human life at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map for the complete rehabilitation and transformation of our lives and world! We can understand ourselves now. We can make sense of all the chaos, suffering and seeming madness in human life. Science has finally made it possible for the whole jigsaw of confusion and mystery about us humans to be fitted together so that it all makes sense. In particular, we can understand why we fully conscious humans corrupted our original all-loving and all-sensitive instinctive self or soul. Yes, the great burden of guilt from having destroyed the magic world of our soul has at last been lifted! We have found the key understanding that ends the underlying pain in our brains and allows the human race to become sound and sane again!”     If you haven’t already we suggest you watch the companion presentation to THE Interview titled The Great Guilt where Jeremy gives an astonishingly interesting and important description of The Great Burden Of Guilt that has finally been lifted from the human race! Click here to start watching!     Yes, the innocence of children is absolutely devastated by the psychologically upset world they encounter. Thank goodness we now have the defence for our upset and can explain to children about the unavoidable journey of the human condition and how corrupted we’ve become, and that honesty is what will heal their, and all humans’, troubled minds. (Jeremy’s explains this loss of innocence and adoption of psychological denial of the ideals of life that happens in our teenage years in Freedom Essay 30 titled ‘Resignation’, the unacknowledged yet most important psychological event in human life)     Given you are coming out of your depression we wanted to mention that explanation the human condition necessarily exposes the level of upset within ourselves and the world and importantly we don’t have to overly confront that upset within us, which is something we all need to be mindful of, as our FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises.

Thank you, I’ve been so worried and now I look forward to learning and healing.

Kim Jerram

Thankyou Jeremy I’ve lived this for my entire life. Battled my family, friends, politics, and others. Because I believed this so much At last there is a scientific person explaining it and saying it. God bless you Live well keep saying what you are. Cheers kim

Any one who thinks you can cure 2000 years of beating each other over the head in a couple of generations is delusional

WTM Admin

There is a lot to absorb here Christopher, so we ask you to be patient. As Part 4 of THE Interview explains, this understanding allows the immediate transformation of everyone’s life because, as Jeremy explains, “while it will take a number of generations to heal all the upset in us humans, everyone can immediately live free of their upset. The reason we can live free of it is that while we lacked the real defence and reinforcement of understanding of our corrupted condition, we absolutely needed the artificial defences and reinforcements of attacking any criticism of our corrupted condition, of denying and blocking it out, and of finding any positive reinforcement we could—anger, alienation and egocentricity are what sustained us—but now that we have the real defence and reinforcement of our fundamental goodness, all these artificial defences and reinforcements are obsoleted, they are no longer needed.”

Lynda Plumb

I came across your interview …being very new at what you were saying but have a small idea That we were cast out from the garden of Eden..because Eve took of the apple of knowledge For one l never believed this story e even as Child …No creator who is all loving would put this temptation in the face of man …we were created both man and women..ape like maybe … But l am not understanding when we were created and why …what part does God come into your theory…and religion +Jesus Christ …the world in no doubt very day it gets worse …l was talking to a friend ..about how people have changed since there Iris and vaccination..same appear to be ina world of their own …and narcissism has got worse …power has shifted to big corporations making billions of money on the suffering of others .. integrity and down the drain people are lying more than ever the world has got very toxic I heard years ago that there’s going to be a big change to spirituality do you think this is true…l like what you had to say ..but but how will people change to be kind and caring and realize they were good and not bad.

WTM Admin

Thank you for you comment and questions Lynda. Firstly our FAQ 1.3 summarised what is presented in THE Interview so that will be helpful to read.     Jeremy Griffith’s explanation brings biological understanding to religious accounts of our condition, which means we can at last reconcile science and religion. For instance, as THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans ‘fall’ or them becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’. However as Jeremy stresses, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story which it sounds like you were suspecting! Jeremy’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in God or Christianity; in fact he has the greatest respect for the role Christ and Christianity has played in the world (see Freedom Essay 39). As mentioned his work simply brings biological understanding to religion’s pre-scientific descriptions of our condition (see our FAQs about religion.)     Thankfully, now we can understand the human condition, we can see that everyone has suffered from it to varying degrees, and the toxicity and problems you speak of, are a manifestation of our insecure, psychologically upset condition. Only solving the human condition can stop the destruction of our world that is happening everywhere we look and bring about the transformation we desperately seek, see FAQ 1.6 and FAQ 1.40.     Explanation of the human condition presents a massive change in how we view ourselves and the world so we suggest you re-watch THE Interview and explore these links which address your questions.

Molly

Extraordinary!!! Since youth I’ve been searching for the truth of life and our loveless condition here on earth. And I’ve always thought that the golden age was to come but apparently we did live in a golden age in the past. Thanks so much for this enlightenment.

Michael Wilson

I am privileged to hear about this message amen

Tim Hullender

Jeremy this is all fine and good. I know it takes a spark to start a fire. but sometimes that fire needs a little fueling. How do we get the word out.

WTM Admin

Hi Tim, I’m sorry that Jeremy is too busy to answer directly. As with any new scientific breakthrough in history it will take time to gain mainstream acceptance, and from there break through the bastions of power in the world. However, once this information gets a foothold through enough people developing a deep appreciation and desire to support it, the selfless love and energy that will generate will solve our problems very quickly because, as THE Interview explains, instead of being selfishly preoccupied with power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together and focus on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering in all the corners of the world.     Rest assured that we here are totally devoted to getting this world-saving understanding out, and even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview! Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!     And everyone can help share this information - for some ideas, see FAQ 3.4 How can I help the WTM?

Ade

In my experience most people are not innately angry, competitive or aggressive, they just want to get along. However, there are a small number of individuals in any group who are driven to accumulate wealth and power. And they do this via manipulation in order to gain a following which unites around the crimes or threat of ‘otherness’. Otherness meaning people or groups who are considered alien. (As in, illegal alien rather than creatures from outer space). Removing the ‘threat’ of otherness is the basic strategy used by corrupt leaders to unite the group in order for the leaders to accumulate wealth and power.

WTM Admin

Hi Ade, what is so extraordinary about Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect explanation of the human condition is that it explains the real reason for why humans’ competitive behaviour became an unavoidable, indeed necessary, part of human life. That is why it is so powerful: it actually allows us all to reconcile the selfish madness of the world, and in ourselves, with ideality. And by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation, which is what makes it totally different to pseudo idealistic demands that we all just behave cooperatively. See FAQ 1.40, which addresses ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. See also FAQ 1.6, ‘Why does understanding of the human condition solve everything?’

This is very understandable. I believe this is our way back to where GOD wants us to be. Let’s get started.

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition brings biological understanding to religious accounts of our condition, which means we can at last reconcile science and religion. For instance, as THE Interview explains, the story of Adam and Eve is a pre-scientific metaphor for the emergence of consciousness and its clash with our pre-established, cooperative loving instincts, resulting in humans becoming psychologically upset or ‘sinful’ or ‘evil’. However, significantly we can now understand, from scientific first principles, that ‘Adam and Eve’ were ‘good’ to search for knowledge, not bad or ‘evil’; we humans are actually the absolute heroes of the whole story! It establishes that we are good and not bad after all. What THE Interview presents fundamentally lifts the ‘burden of guilt’ from the human race and allows us to forgive ourselves and others and finally end our psychologically troubled human condition—it couldn’t be a bigger breakthrough. You might be interested in our FAQs about religion, especially 6.2 ‘What is God’ and 6.3 ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’. Also there are Jeremy’s Freedom Essays 38 – 41 about the demysification of religion which are absolutely fascinating.

Darlene Jubert

Finally! This is the most logical and most intelligent synopsis I’ve ever heard that explains the transformation that took place in my own life. I remember exactly how I felt, my perception and interpration of my external reality and the moment the disconnect occurred, leaving me with the life long question, “Why?” Though I’ve evolved with my own conclusions allowing me substantial understanding the question why still needed to be addressed. Thank you for this life and mind altering conclusion! It is spot on!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Darlene, and it is wonderful to see the relief the interview is bringing you. We just wanted to draw your attention to the ‘ship at sea’ position Jeremy talks about which you may or may not relate to. Freedom Essay 30 titled Resignation explains that some adolescents refuse to properly resign and take up the strategy of denial of the issue of the human condition that almost everybody else does. They courageously keep facing it, refuse to ‘pull into a port’, as it were, and escape the storms of confrontation with the real horror of the human condition, which does produce an honest, although torturous existence.

Thank you!!! I am so grateful for being able to listen to this interview, seems like the most natural truth now it was pronounced. Makes me more hopeful for the future of our kids. I wish you all the best! I will follow your website for more.

Alan James Robertson

After hearing the interview it brought me back to 25 years of psychiatric issues that I have suffered and have been searching for this very conclusion on the human condition to answer the very reason why I suffered in the first place. I’d say my file of psychiatric notes on my journey might even include what was spoken in the interview. I feel that love again in my life and thanks from my heart to be able to hear other people that I tried to reach openly talk about with what I always knew in my years of suffering.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Alan, and the human condition has certainly caused so much unbearable suffering for humans, it has been a deeply tragic reality. The core breakthrough of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is we no longer have to be burdened by the fundamental question of whether we are good or bad because our core goodness as individuals and as a species has been biologically established. We can know our psychological upset was the price humans had to pay for searching for knowledge and that the human story presents the greatest, most heroic story ever told. So we can now look after ourselves and others with great compassion and kindness, as you say “feel that love again”, and we don’t have to overly confront the upset within us as FAQ 1.19 ‘A caution about the danger of over-exposure / Advice for people with mental health issues’ summarises.

Christina

Amazing and Articulate. Gives me a renewed sence of hope that one day we as humans can co exist not only with ourselves but the rest of the planet as well

Jacob

I think a major flaw here is the assumption that animals do not have a conscious mind. Animals display all of the same personalities as humans from humour to jealousy and skepticism and friendship. Animals can also experience psychological trauma and become psychologically upset and develop an ego. If you need proof, adopt a rescued animal and experience the healing process. The condition of egotism is the animalistic state of mind and one that humans must learn to supersede to achieve the human condition.

WTM Admin

As Jeremy Griffith explains in THE Interview, consciousness simply means being sufficiently aware of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding. Clearly while other animals have various levels of ‘awareness’, none can consciously manage events like humans can, and so it is accurate to describe humans as the only animals possessing fully conscious minds. It is also worth noting that Jeremy explains that developing consciousness depended on overcoming the competitive, selfish ‘animal condition’ and becoming orientated to selflessness, so if a species is still preoccupied with selfish, competitive dominance, as other animals are, they can’t become fully conscious. If you would like to explore this further we recommend our FAQ 5.4 titled ‘What is consciousness? / Why is it that humans became conscious while other animals haven’t? / How did consciousness emerge in humans?’

Sonia

Great information. Thanks

Elena

Very true. Thank you for all the work you do so that we all understand this and discover our ability to change our perception and live in harmony with everything around us

Sheila

I have seen a lot of negitive people I think more insecure people . I have also seen some amazing acts of kindness I’m not sure if they have balanced out.

Alan J

Enlightening and provocative. There’s so much tribalism (competition) in the world, it makes one wonder if there’s actually some goodness and selflessness in it. Other point-in nature there appears to be more cooperation than competitiveness-consider the symbiotic relationship between earth fungi and plants, trees to the (chemical warning) communication of trees to other ones when insect pests attack to now hub/mature trees communicating with others, essential for the survival of the whole system. Perhaps they can teach us something and are far older life forms. Does it mean they have consciousness? Unknown and intriguing, but there’s an inter-connective pattern in effect to all.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your comment Alan. Genes have to be selfish to reproduce, which means that unconditionally selfless cooperation cannot normally develop between one sexually reproducing individual and another. As is mentioned in Part 3 of THE Interview recent theories such as ‘group selection’ and ‘self-domestication’ have attempted to get around this by arguing that genuine altruism or cooperation can arise through selection against aggression, but it is flawed biology because the reality is that any selfless behaviour will always be relentlessly selected against (see chapters 6.8 to 6.10 of FREEDOM). No, the only way that genuine cooperation or selflessness could develop was through the nurturing based love-indoctrination process, which is introduced in Part 3 of THE Interview, and which you can read more about in chapter 5 of FREEDOM.

Science has moved on from Darwinism. Cooperating in tribes forced us to become cooperative. Cooperation is the most powerful tactic in the natural world.

WTM Admin

Hi Julius, as is mentioned in Part 3 of THE Interview recent theories such as ‘group selection’ and ‘self-domestication’ have attempted to argue that altruism or cooperation arose in our past through selection against aggression, but it is flawed biology because the reality is that any selfless behaviour will always be relentlessly selected against (see Chapters 6.8 to 6.10 of FREEDOM). The only way that genuine cooperation or selflessness could develop was through the nurturing based love-indoctrination process, which is introduced in Part 3 of this interview and which you can read more about in Chapter 5 of FREEDOM. It is then explained that a clash broke out between these cooperative instincts and our emerging consciousness, the result of which is that we became psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated sufferers of the human condition. Having finally found the explanation for why we had to challenge our cooperative instincts, all the retaliatory, defensive and insecure upset anger, egocentricity and alienation in humans can now subside and heal.

This lecture was quite enlightening and fascinating.

I had the opportunity to click on & watch this ‘interview’ numerous times, it intrigued me, but I refused, over & over again - WHY? 1) Because I’m a skeptic, each if us has been deceived & betrayed so many times, by watching videos, false ads, by news media outlets, whether we can trust our VOTE actually counts or even matters, by what is going on in our public school systems, indoctrinating children . . . so imagine as I continued to listen, seeking understanding for what was being described, to come to the realization, that he was describing me!!! And 2) Because I’m a Christian, growing, thriving in the word of God, seeking truth, learning & progressing on a daily basis & because I’m a skeptic who has been deceived & betrayed. I truly expected this interview to lead into Artificial Intelligence implantation into the human mind to get all of humanity to conform to the greater good for all, demonic coercion to comply eventually. I also expected that any ‘purely scientific’ theory would deny God & the truth of the scriptures, but he did not do this. Actually, this ‘profound’ concept of understanding of the human condition that he presents, from a scientific perspective, could go hand-in-hand with scripture, enhance our understanding of the events of the fall of man into sin, compliment it rather than to be in conflict with it. Love & compassion of nurturing people displayed to one another is what Jesus commands of us as Christians & I can also see the reverse of this, where the rest of nature became influenced by our aggression & anger of our inner turmoil, causing mistrust by animal life to retaliate & defend themselves against us. A snowball affect of evil & destruction in our ignorance of ourselves - oh, if only we could truly reverse this. The icing on the cake; no charge, no need for a money back guarantee, free information to access & share to gain an in-depth understanding of. Thank you for enlightening me!

WTM Admin

Great comment Gamma, thank you for persevering! Yes, Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t contradict a belief in Christianity or the teachings of Christ. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Although this is science, it is based on a Godly nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained in as being the integrative meaning of life. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, in particular FAQ 6.2, ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is ‘God’? / Does the scientific explanation of ‘God’ really contain all the attributes of religion’s metaphysical ‘God’?’     We encourage you keep exploring this understanding by visit the homepage where you will find a guide to learning more, which includes registering to be notified of our free, live, interactive presentations with Jeremy Griffith and others about this immensely relieving understanding, and joining our Facebook Group where there is much fascinating and helpful practical discussion taking place.

Loved it !

Paddy

It ought not take this long to share your point, too many words muddy the water.

WTM Admin

Hi Paddy, while great care has been taken to present the explanation as succinctly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), opening up the human condition does mean that there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered (Parts 2, 3 & 4). We do recommend looking at the main introductory videos near the top of our homepage as you’ll see many of those videos are short in length while explaining all the key concepts in Jeremy Griffith’s world-saving, human-condition-solving treatise, specifically Video 3 which is a 14-minute presentation of Jeremy’s explanation.

Barb Singbeil

Once again.....another Amazing book written by a man! The Toran, the Bible, the Kuran.....etc., etc., etc.! I did read and listen but, I did feel left out as a female!! Due to the content you probably just cannot figure the W5 of this. That’s because you’re a man! I agree with a lot but, as a female, who thinks differently than a male, I did not feel included in the huMAN population. Some women just go along and never question. I go by how I’m made to feel.

WTM Admin

This biological treatise establishes all humans are equally good, worthwhile, meaningful and wonderful regardless of gender, age, religion, etc. See biologist Dr Anna Fitzgerald’s video commendation about how this explanation is the real liberation of women and also FAQ 8.1 ‘How does this reconcile the sexes’

Mary Lou Hemann

I hope this books saves lives.

Shelby Deatherage

When we are able to establish this amazing peaceful time, how do we handle situations when people mis-align themselves from the truth? What if they won’t come back into alignment with the real reality and insist on their own way? Surely there has to be a way to protect such a beautiful harmonious state of being?

WTM Admin

The key thing to realise is that what is being presented here is not some imposed ideal state, but understanding that removes the insecurity that is driving all our divisiveness. In other words, it is not really a state that will need protecting; everyone will want it. The following is a passage from Part 3 of Jeremy Griffith’s book Transform Your Life that might be helpful: “We are rational creatures, and so when all the logic points to there being only one response we can make, namely the human-condition-resolved, upset-obsoleted, transformed new way of living, then that is the response the human race has to take. No revolution dogmatically, and even physically, imposed upon us by others, as has pretty much been the case with revolutions in the past, just a peaceful revolution through the power of logic, knowledge, understanding—the great ‘revolution of the mind’ that W.B. Yeats, and Sir Bob, yearned for. Of course, while it is the power of the logic, the rationale, that makes the new transformed way of living irresistible, the adoption of this way of living is also made irresistible by the absolutely wonderful transforming effect it has on people. Indeed, before long those still living in the old embattled, have-to-prove-your-worth, or deluded, do-good-to-feel-good pseudo idealistic ways of living will feel like they have been caught wearing last year’s fashions! There is such a stark difference between the free, authentic, expansive, enthralled-with-life, transformed existence and the old embattled existence, where your mind is narrowly focused and preoccupied working all the angles every second of every day, defensively seeking validation and reinforcement, that those living in the old ways will seem like a different species. Compared to the new expansive, all-exciting, free, transformed state, those still stuck in the old embattled paradigm will be like sad, forgotten ghosts trapped in an obsoleted state.”

Mr. Aimé de Lignière

Thank you so very much...for this wonderful Truth

Thanks for the nourishing information.

Arturs

Good evening from Latvia. Honestly, I believe next couple decades will be interesting to witness. I think we are in the middle of crossroads for choices, as a human kind, and these couple decades will decide which path we will partake. Good luck to us all! Thank you for brilliant interview, I’ll definitely will get the book.

Laurie Porter

Hi 👋, to all , Listen through the four parts interview, maybe 🤔 twice! Although you’ll have to listen through this information more than once perhaps 🤔, you may find this very very interesting 🤨 🧐 🤔 Kind Regards Laurie Laurie Kendall Porter Jr.

WTM Admin

Good on you Laurie. The human condition is the most fearful of subjects because it’s the issue of whether we are fundamentally good or bad, and our fear of going anywhere near this fundamental question creates this resistance and initial ‘deaf effect’ which makes ‘hearing’ the explanation difficult. So it can take a little patience to access just how all-clarifying, all-redeeming and all-liberating this information is but as you are finding, it is well worth it! Jeremy’s new presentation, The Great Guilt, really gets to the bottom of the reason for this Deaf Effect.

Ben Olgur

I like these ideas Jeremy presents very much, though where can I find the data or statistics? Isn’t that what the science is about?

WTM Admin

Thanks Ben. A similar question has already been responded to recently in these comments; please see the question from Jonathan Moraneau below.

Milagros Duran

Great thinking. I understand! Thank you for This information. I am so greatful for your comments.

I seen your “The Interview” several times thinking you guys are crazy THEN I STARTED LISTENING WOW. IT MAKES ALOT OF SENSE. Just having a DMD degree a Dentist and thru all my courses I taken to aquire my degree, I truly am so excited and surprised because it makes so much sense to me. I will continue to listen and take notes and so excited to talk to others that I think will have an open mind. Many do not have an open mind sadly. Thank you, Thank you

Paul Mead

A great insight into thinking and scientific advances which contribute to our greater well being!

Nicholas

An interesting and informative video which I stumbled across whilst online. Definitely gives you a different perspective of the way or why we are and have been and the shifts during these times of existence.

barney

Thus far -- I have not learnt anything I did not know OR practice in my life’s journey --- I hope the rest improves

WTM Admin

Hi Barney, we hope you persevere because we suggest that what is unique and ground-breaking about Jeremy Griffith’s understanding of the human condition is that he has biologically answered the essential question of why, when the ideals of life are to be loving and selfless, are humans so competitive and selfish? See FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this idea original or new?’

Gloria

Really love it.

Also our Facebook Group provides a wonderful platform for participating in, or just observing, interesting and exciting discussion with others about how we can live with this critical new science.

Elsa Lupez

Amazing. Looking forward to sharing with others. Thank you!!

Jonathan Moraneau

It makes lots of intuitive sense, but I’m curious as to the actual science behind it.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your interest Jonathan. Yes, a common reaction when people hear the explanation of the human condition for the first time, is ‘that explains what I have known all my life!’. Regarding the scientific basis of Jeremy Griffith’s instinct vs intellect treatise, you may be interested in reading our FAQ 1.20, which includes the following exposition: “Science’s discovery of the difference in the way our nerve-based conscious intellect and our gene-based instincts work has allowed biologist Jeremy Griffith to add further confirming clarification of the long recognised ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition. It was Darwin’s mid-1800s discovery of natural selection (as well as Watson and Crick’s subsequent discovery of the DNA molecule, the mechanism behind natural selection), and science’s discovery of how the nervous system works, in particular that nerves are able to remember events, that allowed Jeremy to explain that the nerve-based learning system operates from a basis of understanding cause and effect while the gene-based, natural selection learning system can only give species’ orientations to the world around them, and that this difference explains why an upsetting clash must occur between our instincts and conscious intellect; that upsetting clash being the reason for our angry, egocentric and alienated human condition.”

Gary Bobst

Nice theory, but each of us has to untangle our own mind(ego,soul,Ka,ect...). Nobody can do it for you, you have to take the path yourself. It’s going to hurt, it’ll be frustrating but you can get through this mess called life. Or die trying...

Lucia

I am thrilled about all this, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you all

Mary-Anne Terblanche

Makes such sense 👏

Paul Ewing

So grateful for the video.

Fred ogden

Please send me some literature on the whole ‘human condition’.I’ve thinking for a long time there must be a more complete explanation of the reasons we humans get into so much relations and communications difficulties. I would like a detailed explanation, if there is one.

WTM Admin

Hi Fred, yes Jeremy Griffith’s book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition is the definitive presentation of the biological explanation of the human condition which you can freely access, in various formats, here on our homepage.

Michael Fillinger

This is what I personally expected from my youth . I always questioned everything about my experience. Hearing this makes me feel great . How can I learn more information on this.

Brilliant interview love is law

WTM Admin

Thanks Sammy, yes we can at last understand what love actually is, which is unconditional selflessness, and why it so significant in our lives and in the development of humanity. There is actually a clear theme or purpose or meaning of existence, which is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy – see FAQ 5.3 ‘What is the meaning of life? / What is the Integrative Meaning of existence? / What is God?’. Also Jeremy Griffith’s book titled The Book Of Real Answers To Everything! includes the essay 'What is Love' which you may like to read.

Holli Walker

Great!!

Waveney

An excellent interview and confirms my innate belief in innocence. The scientific explanation makes perfect sense.

Gareth Thomas Hale

Perhaps. I think so.

Ingrid

Wow… no need to flounder in unconsciousness of our suffering… thankyou !

Jake

Just wow! I have always seen competition as pointless high school ritual that carries over to adulthood. This Adam stork, story the human condition connects all the dots! We are hurting, thus trying to change this competitive condition. I will pass this along. Thank you!

WTM Admin

That is wonderful you are going to share THE Interview Jake as this explanation opens a whole new level of understanding—as you say it connects all the dots! For instance we can now understand the real, and indeed heroic, reason we have been so competitive. Our selfish, competitive and aggressive behaviour is not due to savage instincts but is the result of a psychosis caused by the ‘instincts and intellect’ clash, and significantly, a psychosis can be healed with understanding!

Karen

Loved the interview…. First thing that came to mind was the similarity to my ALLTIME favorite book, Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach!

WTM Admin

Great to have your interest Karen!. In terms of Richard Bach’s book we wanted to clarify that certainly there has been a recognition in literature (and by profound thinkers generally) that there must be something better than our current human condition afflicted state. However many people have deluded themselves that this liberated state could be achieved through people artificially restraining, sublimating and even transcending their upset, corrupted condition, but the truth is that this state could only be achieved by confronting, truthfully thinking about, and finally explaining and thus solving the human condition at its source, which is what biologist Jeremy Griffith has done. In the end it was only getting to the bottom of it all, not transcendence, that could fulfil Richard Bach’s allegoral quest for perfection. See FAQ 6.5.

Nathalie Bomer

Curious and excited! Can’t wait to hear what this message enfold.

Leopold Reid

I dont think we can all be transformed

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Leopold. Part 4 of THE Interview, titled ‘How does the psychological rehabilitation of the human race that the arrival of understanding of the human condition finally makes possible actually occur?’, presents the answer to how this understanding allows everyone to transform their lives. It explains that it will take a number of generations for the upset within us to be completely healed but it also stresses importantly we can be immediately free of its effects. Certainly there is habituation to overcome and humans do find change difficult but at last we can understand our behaviour has been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because we have the first principle science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. So instead of being focused on power, fame, fortune and glory, all our energies will be freed to truly work together on doing whatever it takes to end the suffering and save our world. How this healing is immediately open to us all is summarised in FAQ 1.5 and FAQ 1.40 addresses the questions of ‘How can you hope to transform the world? — In particular, how are you going to change the behaviour of the rich and powerful? / How are you going to reach the bastions of power? / Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’. You may also be interested in FAQ 1.38 ‘How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour?’.

Awesome

Marie Carey

Don’t be so open minded that your brains fall out! Good luck changing human nature!

WTM Admin

Hi Marie, thanks for your comment. What is so astonishing about Jeremy Griffith’s work is it provides the long-sought-after, biological answer to the riddle of human nature – why, when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless, we are so angry, competitive and selfish. Our FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 may be helpful as they talk about the rapidly transforming effects of this new knowledge.
