Wow! Amazing discovery that explains human behaviour. The world would be a better place if this knowledge can be shared among 50% of the world’s population. Thank you so much for such great work!

Kant theory’s tell us that the human conditions, he tell us that the war is a necessity and my opinion is that the human condition is miserable...

WTM Admin

The human condition has certainly been characterised by great hardship and misery, but the explanation of the human condition now allows us to see the nobility and heroism behind all that suffering. As Jeremy explains in THE Interview, corruption was the price humanity had to pay to complete the great search for knowledge. While we had to live in denial of the human condition, we effectively lived meaningless lives, but now we can understand the journey that humanity has been on, the human condition is anything but miserable. It is infused with meaning. And most importantly, humanity can now put all that suffering behind it – as Jeremy says in Part 4 of THE Interview, with the human condition solved, “the whole human race sets out as one united organism letting go the angry, egocentric and alienated part of ourselves and supporting cooperative, selfless and loving idealism.”     With regard to Kant, he believed in human freedom flowing from our ability to percieve the moral law, which was a result of our capacity for reason. He saw war as being sometimes necessary in enacting our duty, but foresaw a peaceful world based on the rule of law. Jeremy often quotes Kant’s great words, “there are two things which fill me with awe: the starry heavens above us, and the moral law within us’ (Critique of Practical Reason, 1788).”

Mohammed Pasha

Good work. Hopefully the warlikes in this world will now be more peaceable.

As a first Nations person, I was raised with this understanding and I have been waiting for the world to heal itself in a safe and secure way.

While it takes some time to digest, we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.     Certainly the more innocent or sheltered ‘races’, like the First Nations people of Australia and Canada, have not been as exposed to humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge as less sheltered races, and so they aren’t as psychologically upset as those less sheltered races and therefore have more affinity with our instinctive soulful, cooperative way of living and nature. However, all humans are now part of the extremely upset stage of humanity, H. sapiens sapiens, and are therefore nowhere near as innocent as humans were some 2 million years ago when the battle of the human condition first emerged. Also, most significantly, despite the differing levels of upset due to everyone’s different encounters with humanity’s heroic battle to find knowledge, we are all equally good.     You might like to read our FAQ 9.1 about how this puts an end to racism and for a testimonial on the power of this knowledge to end racism, we recommend the presentations from Franklin Mukakanga and Refentse Molosiwa in Video/Freedom Essay 8.

Amazing, profound and liberating!

Richard David Greene

Goodwill helps all. But to discount E.O. Wilson and rehabilitate Nietzsche seems VAST over-intellectualizing into confusion. Respect: a faulty politician Woodrow Wilson ALMOST succeeded at gaining a “war-to-end-wars” aggression suppressing world, by would-be strong enough League Of Nations. Update Path? mega-charity/mega-rescue by hi-tech Web/mid-tech parachutes! ACT!!!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your interest Richard. It does take some time to digest, but the more you absorb this information, the more you realise that it is the only thing that can end all the dysfunction in the world. No amount of “goodwill”, or rules and bodies such as the “League Of Nations”, or “mega-charity/mega-rescue” could curb our selfish, destructive behaviour while the insecurity that was driving it remained unresolved; the only thing that could truly end our egocentric and alienated state was the reconciling understanding of the human condition.     We assume you are referring to Jeremy’s writing on E.O. Wilson and Nietzsche in other publications as they don’t feature in THE Interview. For example, in chapter 2:11 of FREEDOM, Jeremy explains that rather than solving the human condition, E.O. Wilson’s theory of multilevel artfully avoids it, leading humanity to greater levels of alienation. Nietzsche is referred to often; for example, in chapter 3:9 of FREEDOM he is quoted pointing out the dangers of humanity giving up the search for knowledge before that search is completed. We invite everyone to read these chapters and make up their own mind whether they make complete sense.

A summary of all this would be handy.

WTM Admin

While great care has been taken to present the explanation as succinctly and simply as possible (which is done in Part 1 of THE Interview), opening up the human condition does mean that there are several absolutely critical questions to be answered (Parts 2, 3 & 4). We do recommend looking at the main introductory videos near the top of our homepage as you’ll see many of those videos are short in length while explaining all the key concepts in Jeremy Griffith’s world-saving, human-condition-solving treatise, specifically Video/Freedom Essay 3 which is a 14-minute presentation of Jeremy Griffith’s explanation. We also recommend reading FAQ 1.3 for a very short summary of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ concept.

Thank you. I love to hear from great minds I have been a pastor for more than 50 years. But Iam not so set in my ways that I would fear truth or run from it. I like people who make me think, and you have. For me Jesus is truth the way and the life. Nothing could ever take his place in my life. But religion all of it I find empty and vain. Your words are anything but empty a mind that full of wisdom must have come at great cost I get it, the tip of the iceberg I want to hear more...... So once again ...Thank you

Samuel Mtaja

It has been quite some time I down loaded the Freedom Book. I was unable to complete reading it. Each time I read I forget what I read. Now the Interview is knitting things together. It can relate to my and many peoples situations. I can some how start understanding the behaviours of many people, many in politics and the wars are completely unnecessary. Thank you Sir. I hope I can live to see you personally.

WTM Admin

Yes, the whole subject of the human condition has been such an off-limits subject that we initially have difficulty ‘hearing’ discussion of it or retaining it in our mind. But that ‘Deaf Effect’ can be eroded, and so your approach of re-reading the material and listening to different presentations is perfect Samuel! We do recommend Jeremy’s presentation The Great Guilt, which allows us to understand, and therefore overcome, this Deaf Effect to being able to ‘hear’ and access the solution to the human condition.

Learning, ever leaning, and never coming to the truth. It’s called the “natural man”. The answer is not revealed through intellectual excuses for mans behavior, but it’s a great way to turn away from believing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Donald. We certainly respect people’s religious views however we felt it was important to mention that Jeremy Griffith’s work is not an “intellectual excuse for mans behaviour” and although this is science it doesn’t contradict the Bible. In fact Jeremy considers the Bible to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. Ultimately we needed to find the scientific explanation for why when the universal ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents which actually demystifies and explains religion by bringing biological understanding to pre-scientific concepts. The real issue is if people prefer a more literal fundamentalist interpretation of scripture rather than our more biological, science-based interpretation. This is explained in our FAQs about religion, in particular FAQ 6.3 ‘Aren’t all Griffith’s demystifications of religious teachings going to be seen by supporters of religion as blasphemy? / Does understanding of the human condition undermine a faith in religion or God? / How does this affect my personal religious practice? / How can you reconcile the explanation of the human condition that defends the upset state with religious teachings that condemn upset?’.

Jeremy I have seen your post across Facebook post and I was ready to listen and absorb your scientific explanation then. This morning on September 8th, 2024 I knew that I was emotionally, mentally, physically & spiritually ready and willing to take the time and grasp more consciencely. I really need to know how it can help me to better my life.i need to understand my life better

WTM Admin

Hi Seabata, watching THE Interview provides the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition so that is the place to start. We also recommend you read FAQ 1.5 which answers the question ‘Why is understanding the human condition important to my life?’ - to quote “It does not matter who you are, having understanding of the human condition will completely transform your life into the most wonderful existence imaginable. This is because biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition gives you the ability, for the first time ever, to understand every aspect of human behaviour in yourself and in everyone else with 100% clarity and confidence. The explanation will change how you view humans, and most importantly yourself, literally overnight—and your behaviour will change naturally as a result, and just as quickly.”

If you do not have an hour to hear this presentation, spare 7 minutes to hear the essence of Griffith’s argument and life work. [The 7 mins Janos suggests is Jeremy’s Adam Stork analogy presented from 12 to 19 mins in THE Interview video, which his links above take you to, or paragraphs 28 to 45 in the transcript.] However, to get familiar with the implications and the explanatory power of this biology based paradigm in science the full video should be watched, and at least bits of it several times.

Patricia Fuger

Should be Req Reading ...B4 the next Debate... n Good luck w That!!

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Patricia. What is so relieving is biologist Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition allows us to understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wing. His work certainly recognises the destructive brutality of the right-wing; indeed he brings understanding to the whole extremely destructive angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. He also recognises the failing of the Left, which is that its dogmatic insistence on cooperative, selfless and loving behaviour stifled and oppressed the freedom of expression and individualism needed to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, the redeeming understanding of our seemingly destructive human condition that thankfully he has now found and presents in his book FREEDOM. Basically his work brings profound understanding to both sides, which ultimately brings to an end the whole ugly business of politics. This is fully explained in our FAQs about politics.

Stephen king

As an octogenarian, I’ve recently been interested in my ancestors; who am I, why do I think and believe the way I do. What’s it all about??? I’m working on memoire, which is not so much about me, as about my memories, specifically my genetic memory. This video lends some credence to, as yet unproven science about genetic memory, but provides me with more information about human history, our ancestors and why we all do the things that threaten our very existence. Ith one statement that caught my sleepy attention is “ we’ve only had enough scientific research to fully understand who we are in the last 150 years.” Okay that’s not an exact quote but it woke my up. Knowing who your ancestors were is the key to knowing who you are. This video should be enough elementary education to wake you up too. Wopila tunkasila! Stephen

WTM Admin

Thank you for your thoughts Stephen and it’s wonderful you found THE Interview so interesting. The 150 years statement you refer to is Jeremy Griffith’s reference in Part 2 to in the last 150 years or so science has provided the necessary knowledge to explain the human condition, specifically, to provide the redeeming, instincts-can-orientate-but-only-nerves-can-understand, good reason why we departed from innocence and seemingly became ‘evil’, bad people. To quote Jeremy: “Precisely, it’s only in the last 150 years or so that science has given us A: the ability to know that the gene-based natural selection process gives species orientations to the world; and B: the knowledge of our nerves and how they are able to remember events, which, much developed, has led to our mind being able to sufficiently understand the relationship between cause and effect to become conscious of, or aware of, or intelligent about those relationships.” In terms of you saying the science about genetic memory is unproven you may find it helpful to read our reply to Nathan below. To quote “...Jeremy’s human-condition-confronting-and-solving, truthful, holistic, inductive ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state is based on two of the most important and respected elements of scientific knowledge we have: the DNA discoveries of Watson and Crick, which gives us the ability to understand that natural selection is a gene-based information processing system that is only capable of giving species orientations; and the discoveries of neuroscience, in particular how nerves are capable of storing impressions, which we have long been calling memories, which allows us to understand that they gave rise to a different form of information processing system, one that can understand cause and effect and thus become insightful and aware or ‘conscious’ of the nature of change. Knowing this (and ‘science’, derived from the Latin scientia, literally means ‘knowing’ or ‘knowledge’) means that science can explain the human condition. Jeremy’s induction-derived synthesis of this knowledge is that when you have one system that gives orientations and then another that is insightful takes over, a clash is inevitable, and that psychologically upsetting clash is evidentially what produced our angry, egocentric and alienated state.” You may also like to subscribe to our free mailing list to receive all our 64 Freedom Essays (one per week) which guides you through much of the content of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM in beautifully illustrated bite-size pieces. In particular Freedom Essays 21 to 25 further cover some of the key biological explanations, for instance Essay 22 is titled ‘Fossil discoveries evidence our nurutured origins’. WOW, WOW it was a lot to take in! It gave me a lot of understanding about the unfolding of my life bringing me to the moments of current time!! I will be 80 in a few months and am still engaged in finding the Truth of Life for me and All of Us as the Divine Human Being. Thank you so much for all that you shared!!

Dennis brownfield

Nobody nurtures their children anymore children are so negative and mean I got a playground outside my window like your kids cussing it it’s not like it used to be I used to enjoy listening to kids playing and laugh not anymore

WTM Admin

Hi Dennis, take heart as there is an explanation and a solution to the escalating levels of upset and distress in the world including in our children. We suggest you watch THE Interview as it explains the human journey has progressed we have become ever more psychologically corrupt, to the point that we are now approaching a state of terminal alienation. To quote Jeremy Griffith from Part 2: “While we’ve had to live in denial of our corrupted, psychologically upset condition while we couldn’t explain it, the truth is that on a graph showing the ever-increasing levels of upset in humans, those levels, especially of psychosis and alienation, have been increasing so rapidly lately that the line tracking their rise is near vertical with the amount of upset virtually doubling now in each new generation! Freedom Essays 55 & 59 on our World Transformation Movement’s website describes this terrifying end play threat of terminal levels of psychosis.” So as long as the search for knowledge continued, levels of upset could only keep increasing and each generation would suffer the effects of this. With regard to nurturing, it has been humanity’s necessary preoccupation with this search and proving its self-worth that has compromised our ability to nurture. However, with the human condition now explained, that preoccupation ends, and nurturing will again become humanity’s central focus. You can read more about the impact of the human condition on our ability to nurture in Chapter 8:16C of Jeremy’s book FREEDOM. And Part 4 of THE Interview explains how the psychological rehabilitation of the human race is now possible with arrival of understanding of the human condition. Also FAQ 1.5 about why this understanding is important to all our lives gives a helpful summary of how this solution works.

Jimmy Brown

Knowing these facts shows conclusively that bad behavior is from the individual mind and not because men are hardwired to behave badly. That means the gun didn’t shoot itself, so you have to punish the person that done the crime to ever teach the individual not to commit bad deeds.

WTM Admin

Yes Jimmy our “bad behaviour” is a product of our upset psychology rather than being genetic or “hardwired”. As Jeremy Griffith explains in Part 1 of THE Interview, humans’ selfish, angry and alienated behaviour is not a result of unchangeable savage animal instincts within us, but the result of a universal psychosis caused by a clash between our instinct and intellect, and significantly since a psychosis can be healed with understanding, human behaviour is not unchangeable or immutable – a revelation that transforms the human race. Until we have been able to scientifically explain this humanity has of course needed to impose punishment as a way of restraining and containing excessive upset but that doesn’t resolve the problem. Now the human condition is explained and solved we can remove our deep seated sense of guilt and shame, by explaining the conflict of our instincts and mind - explain why we are fundamentally good when we appear bad - heal our psychosis and our upset behaviour will naturally subside. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone the “bad” even horrenously violent acts humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it. This is explained in FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour? / Does this condone ‘evil’ behaviour?’. As Professor Harry Prosen, psychiatrist and former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, said: “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.”

WTM Admin

Thanks for your encouragement Lisa. Ultimately to be able to heal we needed understanding of the light and dark in ourselves—specifically, scientific understanding of why when the ideals are to be loving and selfless are we so competitive and selfish! This is what Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does and why it is heralded as the breakthrough that can save the world. People may find our FAQ 6.5 which explains this huge difference between Jeremy’s explanation and new age movement most helpful.

This is what we need: a new Philosophy, new thoughts ,new ideas...Thank you very much! ,

Nathan

He starts out saying “I think everyone will agree”, to things that no intelligent person believes everyone would agree to. One of which is that “everyone will agree” that the solution must be a purely materialistic one. So he begins by limiting where the solutions can be found and then claims it’s a scientific solution. Everything after that is pure storytelling, with no actual science in sight. Just like the interviewer said, “this is such a simple story. . .” and that’s all it is. What we were taught in school was nonsense and this is an additional serving of nonsense.

WTM Admin

With regard to the “solution” being a “purely materialistic one” and “limiting where the solutions can be found”, we suggest that the more you digest this explanation, the more you will see that it does not rob life or explanations of life of its ‘spiritual’ dimension. We thought you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, in particular FAQ 6.7 ‘How can a scientific explanation ever hope to account for and encompass the great ‘spiritual’ dimension we know exists in life? / Isn’t ‘spirituality’ beyond a purely rational explanation?’     With regard to the second criticism, that there is “no actual science in sight”, Jeremy’s human-condition-confronting-and-solving, truthful, holistic, inductive ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of our psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated state is based on two of the most important and respected elements of scientific knowledge we have: the DNA discoveries of Watson and Crick, which gives us the ability to understand that natural selection is a gene-based information processing system that is only capable of giving species orientations; and the discoveries of neuroscience, in particular how nerves are capable of storing impressions, which we have long been calling memories, which allows us to understand that they gave rise to a different form of information processing system, one that can understand cause and effect and thus become INSIGHTFULand aware or ‘conscious’ of the nature of change. Knowing this (and ‘science’, derived from the Latin scientia, literally means ‘knowing’ or ‘knowledge’) means that science can explain the human condition. Jeremy’s induction-derived synthesis of this knowledge is that when you have one system that gives orientations and then another that is insightful takes over, a clash is inevitable, and that psychologically upsetting clash is evidentially what produced our angry, egocentric and alienated state.     Our FAQ 1.10 presents the scientific evidence for Jeremy Griffith’s instincts vs intellect explanation; we also recommend the commendations Jeremy’s work has received from extremely eminent scientists and thinkers that are on our homepage.

I have listened to it several times but didn’t grasp it very well. Please let’s hear it from evolutionary biologist such as Richard Dawkins. Include comments from thinkers such as Yuval Hararai, and others Thank you

WTM Admin

Hi Abu, the explanation of the human condition presents a massive paradigm shift in our thinking so it’s natural to need to take time to digest all it reveals. As Jeremy Griffith describes, the human condition has historically been such a fearful, off-limits topic and the mind simply needs time to ride out the initial shock of having it broached and all manner of mystery unlocked. We encourage re-watching THE Interview and looking at the Introductory Videos on the WTM homepage because the more you do absorb this explanation, the more you realise just how all-clarifying, all-redeeming, all-reconciling, all-healing, all-liberating it is!     Evolutionary biology, as you will begin to see, is premised in the idea that we have savage instincts. However, it is explained that while we couldn’t admit that our selfish, aggressive behaviour was psychological in origin we have had to come up with all sorts of theories to account for our good and evil stricken condition, and the idea that we are selfish because we have savage animals instincts is the main an excuse we have had to use until we had the real defence for our condition.     Thankfully human-condition-avoiding ‘evolutionary biology’ can now be replaced by human-condition-confronting-and-solving, truthful, holistic, inductive science—but of course the established, entrenched, traditional mechanistic scientific paradigm resists this massive paradigm shift. It does this by ignoring the new synthesis, as well as using such outrageously dishonest and irresponsible claims as ‘the new synthesis presents no new data’, is an ‘untestable’ and ‘non-falsifiable’ hypothesis, and is therefore not even science! The same ridiculous accusation was used against Charles Darwin’s Natural Selection synthesis. As is explained in FAQ 1.10, these accusations are transparently false and nothing more than the dying tremors of an old, extremely flawed form of dishonest science that has lived way past its used by date and is rapidly taking humanity to extinction!

John

WOW!

Emma Fox

So curiosity did actually kill the cat.

WTM Admin

Ha! The emerging intellect’s unavoidable “curiousity” certainly caused it to come into conflict with our pre-established instinctive orientations, but we can now understand that the ‘cat’ had to defy our instincts because the nerve-based-learning-system had to search for knowledge in order to fulfil its potential. And it is a good news story; the cat doesn’t die in this story - the intellect’s defiance has led to the redeeming understanding of our fundamental goodness finally being found!

Belief in the Books of God: Muslims believe that God revealed holy books or scriptures to a number of God’s messengers. These include the Quran (given to Muhammad), the Torah (given to Moses), the Gospel (given to Jesus), the Psalms (given to David), and the Scrolls (given to Abraham

WTM Admin

Jeremy Griffith’s work doesn’t ignore, exclude or contradict a belief in God, or religion. It simply brings biological understanding to all those pre-scientific concepts. In fact, Jeremy considers the books of the great religions to be a repository of extremely rare denial-free truth, containing all the truth about human life albeit from a pre-science view. And it needs to be pointed out that although this is science, it is based on a ‘Godly’ nature in the sense of recognising, like all the great religions do, that we humans once lived in a pre-human-condition-afflicted state of original innocence where we were perfectly instinctively orientated to the cooperative, selfless, loving, ‘Godly’ ideals of life; ‘God’ being explained as being the personification of integrative meaning of life; see Freedom Essay 23. We also think you might find our FAQs about religion of interest, especially FAQs ‘What is God’ and ‘Does this understanding undermine religion’.

Since I saw the interview for the first time I have had more hope in a humanity’s better future. Do you think your effort is orienting effectively enough people towards that goal?

WTM Admin

While this necessarily has a slow start, humanity’s uptake of the explanation of the human condition has a fast finish as the selflessness it liberates in people will not only quickly solve all the problems on the planet but the excitement and joy it brings means everyone will want to get on board as quickly as they can (see FAQ 1.5)! And so even though we haven’t yet reached the tipping point we are well on our way as you can see from the excitement and relief in our daily ecstatic responses to THE Interview! Also, on our homepage, you can see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for Jeremy Griffith’s work with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres opening all over the world!

Still need more time to digest. This is real food for mind and soul will remain as I keep reading.

TIMOTHY KEECH

After several attempts to listen to this interview which is very slow moving, I finally sat through it and wondered where is the biology? Many sources from ancient times are quoted, scientists and philosophers who seem to have realised what we’re being told centuries ago and what, largely, seems to be common sense. I must be missing something because I can’t see anything remarkable about what is being propounded here. I would welcome some enlightenment.

WTM Admin

The subject of our corrupted condition has historically been off-limits, so ‘hearing’ it explained can be difficult at first. However, while it takes some time to digest, we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be integrative are we so disintegrative? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here. We suggest FAQ 1.13 ‘Is this original or new?.     With regard to the biology, while THE Interview is only an introductory presentation, we suggest you re-listen to Part 1. As Jeremy explains, “if we think about it, if an animal was to become fully conscious, like we humans became, then that animal’s new self-managing, understanding-based conscious mind would surely have to challenge its pre-existing instinctive orientations to the world, wouldn’t it? A battle would have to break out between the emerging conscious mind that operates from a basis of understanding cause and effect and the non-understanding instincts that have always controlled and dictated how that animal behaves.” And as Craig Conway summarises: “science’s discovery of the way genes and nerves work has finally made it possible for the liberation of humanity from the horror of the human condition”. We recommend FAQ 1.41 for more about the clash between the gene and nerve based learning systems.

Yes, we can now appreciate that religion has played a significant role as both the custodian of the ideal state and as a means of solace for those exhausted by the corrupting journey - as you say, “Just let the Holy Spirit guide your life and follow Jesus’s examples and all else will fall in line.” However we now have understanding of our corrupted state: of why when the ideals are to be loving and selfless, we are so competitive and selfish, so we no longer have to rely on faith. At last we can understand we have been driven by a deep insecurity about our fundamental goodness or worth and so now that our goodness is biologically established we no longer have to behave insecurely and selfishly and can legitimately return to a selfless way of living. ‘Legitimately’ because at last we have the first principle-based science which liberates us to be honest about our conflicted upset state instead of denying or transcending it. This is the rapidly transforming practical effect of being able to understand the human condition which is fully explained and illustrated on our Transformation page. Also FAQs 1.4 to 1.6 explain the far-reaching application of this explanation and Freedom Essay 15 is all about ‘How understanding the human condition can immediately transform your and every other human’s life and save the world’.

The discussion is thought provoking with respect to the questions of egoism and altruism in the context of idealism and realism in relation to human life on the planet Earth. The conclusion that altruism is the answer to the question of human conflict is persuasive and worthy of individual thought and personal conclusion. However, in the context of a sense of existence that transcends the planet Earth, human beings may experience a feeling of being an inherent part of a cosmic whole that eliminates differences not only between and among human beings but also with respect to all else that comprise the whole and thereby make human life on Earth happier and more fulfilling for the time being.

WTM Admin

While it takes some time to digest, we suggest that what is unique about Jeremy Griffith’s work is not that “altruism is the answer”, but that he has answered the essential question of why, when the universal ideals are to be altruistic are we so selish and egocentric? Our endeavours in philosophy, psychology and biology have failed, until now, to provide a truthful, real, fully accountable, genuinely clarifying explanation. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy presents here.

Fascinating. The nourishment we all need and sigh for. A 2 million year old loving expression which has been required for all that time but unavailable till now. Not sure about the fiction of right and left both. There has been perversion on both sides. The oppression by the right and the carnival of the left. That needs understanding and loving elimination.

WTM Admin

Wonderful to have your interest Sheila. As you say this explanation of the human condition hasn’t been available until now so to it does take time to consider and digest this critical new science. Re-watching THE Interview is helpful and also watching its companion presentation The Great Guilt is highly recommended, which you can access HERE on our homepage. In terms of politics you may find our reply to Dennis below most helpful including the link to our FAQs about Politics in particular FAQ 7.1 ‘How does understanding the human condition bring an end to the now horrifically polarised world of politics?’

Dennis Marshall

The left has been telling us we are evil. they should read Adam Smith’s, the Wealth of Nations. Capitalism is a system of voluntary exchange. Capital is defined as surplus above our needs. Therefore, free enterprise capitalism is the only system consistent with our needs. Not crony capitalism & oligarchism, which is how most countries operate & uses the power of the state to punish their enemies. All you need to do is outlaw use of force, fraud & coercion, the state should only be there to enforce the protection of the individuals' rights.

WTM Admin

Hi Dennis, this knowledge presents a huge paradigm shift in our thinking but as THE Interview explains, freedom of thought and individualism, sustained by the incentives of materialism and capitalism, are what maintained humanity’s heroic search for knowledge. Now the core mystery and problem about human behaviour of our so-called ‘good and evil’-stricken human condition has at last been solved our economic systems will shift, not through any imposition, but because our need for materialism has been made redundant by this redeeming, reconciling, rehabilitating understanding of the human condition. You can read more of how Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition allows us to understand the real merits and liabilities of both the left and right wing. It brings profound understanding to both sides which ultimately brings to an end the whole ugly business of politics. For instance Jeremy’s work recognises the destructive brutality of the right-wing; indeed he brings understanding to the whole extremely destructive angry, egocentric and alienated human condition. You might find our FAQs about politics of interest.

Alexandra Masson

It was good to hear that we are not born as sinners as some of the religions would have us believe.

WTM Admin

While religions contain all manner of truths about human life, it is all from a pre-scientific view. For instance Jeremy’s treatise brings new insight to the story of Adam and Eve explaining, as you say “we are not born as sinners”. He clarifies that while in the pre-scientific story Adam and Eve were portrayed as ‘bad’ or even ‘evil’ to take the fruit of knowledge, and treated as ‘sinful’, we can now understand that humans were ‘good’, even heroic, to search for knowledge, even though it caused us to become psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated sufferers of the human condition. As Jeremy says in Part 2 of THE Interview, “‘No, no, that story got it wrong’. Adam and Eve are actually not just good but the heroes of the whole story of life on Earth.” What science can now add to that pre-scientific description of the human condition is that our instincts in effect criticised the emerging conscious mind’s search for knowledge, but importantly, we can now understand that the conscious mind was right, or ‘good’ to defy our instinctive self in order to fulfil its great potential to manage life. While religious assurances, such as ‘God loves you’ in Christianity, provided comfort, they failed to explain WHY we are lovable, and it is that missing explanation that this breakthrough provides.

Clement Didimalang

Awesome explanation of the Human Condition 🙏

Joe Kihara

Your thesis on the psychological state of humanity is fundamentally flawed. The idea that the majority of people are burdened by pervasive guilt, shame, and feelings of unworthiness is not supported by evidence. In reality, most individuals exhibit positivity, self-assurance, and a strong sense of self-worth. The claim that humanity is predominantly characterized by shame, guilt, and unworthiness is speculative and significantly inaccurate.

WTM Admin

Thanks for your thoughts, Joe, but we respectfully disagree. Firstly, it is important to clarify the very nature of the human condition means explanation of it can be initially difficult to access. This is because it has been the most terrifying of subjects to face because it is the question of whether we are fundamentally good or bad as a species—of why are we humans capable of such contradictory behaviour as to be selfless and loving but also selfish and destructive. Until that question could be answered we have necessarily lived in almost total denial of the human condition so it does take a while to fully appreciate the extent of our denial and the impact this can have on the way we respond to discussion of it. This initial ‘deaf effect’ is summarised in FAQ 1.16.     THE Interview explains, that all humans are born with loving moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis brought about by the conscious mind’s necessary yet corrupting search for knowledge. While it is true that due to their circumstances, some individuals have less exposure to the human condition than others, and are therefore less psychologically upset than others, by this stage of the human journey everyone suffers from the human condition. The evidence of this is all around us, just look at the destruction of our world and the disintegration of society that is happening everywhere with such increasing problems of drug abuse, family breakdown, and epidemic levels of obesity, chronic anxiety, depression, unhappiness and loneliness. Significantly we can now understand that having to become psychologically upset, and carry the burden of guilt, shame and insecurity we felt for having to leave and corrupt our original loving state, was the responsible thing to do while we continued the search for knowledge. That is the great paradox of the human condition – we humans had to defy our all-loving instincts and become corrupted in self in order to find understanding of the human condition. As distinguished psychiatrist Professor Harry Prosen (who wrote the Introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM) said: “What Griffith is presenting is understanding of the source insecurity that the whole human race suffers from for having destroyed our species’ innocent soul. It is a universal self-blame that his understanding at last provides healing insight into. All human behavior is saturated with that universal insecure, depressing state and resulting anger, egocentricity and alienation that has developed from it, but we finally have the compassionate foundation insight needed to dismantle all that ‘upset’/psychosis. So the real psychotherapy of our collective and individual psychoses can begin” (see FAQ 1.34). Now our upset state is explained and defended, we can safely re-connect with the human condition in ourselves and the world and bring love or forgiveness to our dark side. In fact the more one digests the explanation, the more they understand that becoming corrupt was an immensely heroic state, not a shameful one.

This is really wonderful ❤️. Count me in and keep it 💯 👌.

Pieter Theron

Intelligence without love, respect and wisdom is the source of evil.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your comment Pieter. At last we can biologically understand the source of what we have historically termed ‘evil’ or the dark volcanic forces in humans that make us capable of horrific acts. Jeremy Griffith explains in this interview that humans are born with loving, moral instincts but we all now variously suffer from a psychosis due to the unavoidable clash between these cooperative instincts and our emerging conscious mind or intellect. This psychosis manifests in angry, egocentric and alienated or ‘upset’ behaviour which in the extreme, produces people who are capable of ‘evil’ behaviour. Of course this breakthrough explanation doesn’t condone or sanction the horrendous atrocities humans can commit rather, through bringing compassionate understanding to the source of humans’ upset behaviour, it gives us the power to ameliorate and thus subside and ultimately eliminate it, see FAQ 1.38 ‘Aren’t some people just born psychopathic, or even ‘evil’? / How does this explanation rehabilitate people capable of ‘evil’ behaviour?’.

Mary Katherine Knibiehly

Absolutely, beautiful. I was so lucky to have a mother who was ahead of her time.she taught me about what they now call heart /mind cohersse over 45 years ago. This confirms everything I was taught as a young child.

WTM Admin

It is absolutely beautiful Mary and it is wonderful it is resonating with you so deeply. We can at last not just aspire to the unity of our heart and mind but actually bring lasting reconciliation and integration to them by being able to now explain our contradictory behaviour. Understand why when the ideals are to be loving, cooperative and selfless are we so angry, competitive and selfish. Answering this question required finding the clarifying difference between the way the intellect and instincts work, and that is the great biological breakthrough Jeremy Griffith presents here which brings immense relief to our heart and mind!

Julie voak

Finally I now realise my yearning to live free with my family. It’s what I’m supposed to be doing. It has been my dream for years to live off the land in peace and love. Now I understand my feelings. Brilliant interview can’t wait to read the book x

WTM Admin

Yes Julie at last we can understand that our yearning to live harmoniously with others and our environment comes from our all-loving instincts. Equally significant and relieving is our ability to now know where our so-called ‘dark side’ comes from — that all humans suffer from a universal psychosis caused by the clash between our instinct and intellect. That is why Jeremy Griffith’s explanation is so powerful: it actually allows us to reconcile the selfishness, division and destruction in the world, and in ourselves, with ideality. And by explaining the very good reason why our intellect had to defy our instincts, it makes redundant our defensive behaviours of anger, egocentricity and alienation which, as is explained in THE Interview, is what makes it totally different to pseudo idealistic demands that we all just behave cooperatively which is further explained in our FAQ 6.5 ‘Is this just another self-help, New Age, pseudo idealistic, superficial-treatment-of-psychosis type movement?’.

Norman Giller

I kept waiting for a punchline that would make this a Monty Python-type spoof, but it never came and the more I listened the more I learned. Jeremy Griffith has drilled through to a pretty thick skull in my case and I find it fascinating that he comes pretty close to explaining the impossible, that is ‘the meaning of life.’ The question I have is, ‘Will AI (Artificial Intelligence) help open the doors that remain locked to we mere mortals, particularly dumb ones like me?’Anyway, thank you for sharing this knowledge. Does Jeremy come from Darwin by any chance? 😆

WTM Admin

Thanks Norman. Yes, we all variously suffer from a ‘Deaf Effect’ when hearing about the human condition because we have all variously had to live in denial of this historically terrifying issue. So it is a credit to you that you persisted and could eventually ‘hear’ the explanation.     With regard to AI, you might be interested in Jeremy’s booklet AI & Aliens: the truthful analysis, in which he explains (among other things) that, “The problem for AI that this great paradox of the human condition presents, where we humans had to be allowed to be divisive, competitive, selfish and aggressive in order to find knowledge, ultimately self-knowledge, understanding of our corrupted condition, is that the AI needs to be insightfully clever enough to understand that paradox. A half-smart computer that realises the truth of Integrative Meaning and as a result decides we should be cooperative, selfless and loving, or even just works out that we humans need to stop being competitive, selfish and aggressive and just start getting along with each other by being cooperative, selfless and loving, would be an extremely dangerous computer—because, as just explained, the great subtlety and paradox of the human condition is that we’ve had to be divisive in order to be integrative.”     Finally, no Jeremy is not from Darwin! However as the eminent ecologist Professor Stuart Hurlbert said, “I am stunned & honored to have lived to see the coming of ‘Darwin II’”

Matt

This is such a truthfull revealing video, however how do you get the human race to embrace this ideology. Thats going to be the hard part. So many people out there enjoy being nasty, hatefull, greedy, controlling etc. I dont see those types wanting to change, and they are the ones who controll us every day.

WTM Admin

Our FAQ 1.40 addresses the question ‘Won’t the greedy and power-hungry simply ignore this?’ and explains that even those who are most committed to seeking validation through gaining power and wealth, including those entrenched in positions of power, will quickly realise how empty and obsolete that strategy is now that we have the fully accountable, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, biological explanation of the human condition that establishes our worth at the most fundamental level. Basically, so exciting and relieving is this breakthrough, and the freedom from the human condition that is now on offer, that everyone will want it, and so it will catch on like wildfire and this is already happening. Just read the ecstatic responses THE Interview is receiving on our homepage and scroll down to see the rapidly growing appreciation and support for the WTM with outstanding commendations from thought leaders and WTM Centres all over the world!

“Painless Slap in the Face!” needed to grow up, mature. Without self-inflicting pain, conciously collective.

WTM Admin

Interesting take on it. But yes, it is true that although this understanding of the human condition exposes our corrupted condition, it does so by defending it at its very core - we had to suffer self-corruption in order to search for knowledge - which is why Jeremy Griffith’s ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation is described as ‘redeeming’. So yes, a “painless slap in the face” is not inaccurate!

Instinct versus Intellectual..very interesting ideas here of understanding the upset, insecure and egocentric nature of humans. reading the book might provide more insight

WTM Admin

Yes, THE Interview is just an introductory text: we recommend Jeremy Griffith’s definitive book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition for the complete presentation of the ‘instinct vs intellect’ explanation of the human condition and all the related insights that are only touched on in THE Interview. As the renowned ecologist Professor Stuart Hurlbert wrote, "I am stunned & honored to have lived to see the coming of ‘Darwin II’. I say this because after Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection explained the variety of life, Jeremy Griffith has gone on to solve the other four main questions science had to answer about our world and place in it. They are: 1) the dilemma of the human condition, which his instinct vs intellect explanation in chapter 3 of his main, seminal book FREEDOM finally solves; 2) how we humans became fully conscious when other species haven’t, which he answers in chapter 7; 3) the origins of humans’ unique moral nature, which he answers in chapter 5, which it turns out American philosopher John Fiske had already explained in 1874 but mechanistic science had ignored; and 4) the truth of the Integrative Meaning of existence (which we have personified as ‘God’), in chapter 4, which only a rare few thinkers in history have been able to recognize. A most phenomenal scientific achievement!"     FREEDOM is free on our homepage here to read online or download. You can also download the free Kindle versions from Amazon. Otherwise you can purchase hard copies from Amazon or other good bookstores.

Given the potentials I’m currently of the mind that invalidity increases with each “fact” squeezed out of this huge query ie ,Who are we? Where are we from?, Where have we been?

WTM Admin

As WTM FAQ 1.9 ‘Should people be sceptical’ explains, Professor Harry Prosen, a former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, has endorsed the significance of Jeremy Griffith’s treatise, saying “I have no doubt Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.” So while your scepticism is warranted given, the amazing fact is that they all withstand scrutiny. A person can begin reading the explanation and the more they read into it the more they will realise the claims are actually true, and in time become appreciated for their forthright honesty in indicating where the solution to our problems lies.

It’s glad to know that I am good and everyone around me is good. Well this interview has shed so much light to why we inevitably lost our calm against one another in this planet, however it has shown the light we need of we can embrace this good news from the scientific view of human condition. Thank you Mr Griffith.

Medatation and understanding are our higher conciousness This brings peace to one and other eternally. Understood this is our medicine.

WTM Admin

Thank you for your feedback, Nico. Practices such as meditation have certainly been invaluable tools in helping us cope with the upset human condition, calm the troubled mind and access our soul, but they ultimately fail to produce a lasting solution to the destruction and devastation we see all around us. Fundamentally they are about transcending, escaping, the pain in our brains, rather than confronting and solving it, and thereby its destructive effects, at its source which Jeremy Griffith’s treatise does.
